Apox National Information

Welcome, competing nations to Apox for Campionato Esportiva 23! Your host information can be found below. Apox is a well established and accomplished host nation and we hope your stay here will be thoroughly enjoyable.

COUNTRY HISTORY

Apox was founded 603 years ago by migrants from the north of our continent in Esportiva, with a large influx of people coming from The Licentian Isles from the East and from Uitbregen in the West. The capital Dwile was established in 14 A.T (Apoxian Time) and has been the cultural and financial centre every since, in it's prime location in the middle of the country, whilst also being on the coast, therefore providing an extra level of accessibility for those who prefer to travel by sea.

After war against Cyborg Holland, for the southern county of Olfa, Apox in it's current form was established in the late 460's A.T. Since then, it has thrived in relative peace and freedom, with our semi-democratic state watching over. A civil war between 550-555 A.T led to Apox becoming more democratic, and it emerged from the ashes a stronger nation on all fronts, with our first leader, Lord Winklebottom, driving through a great deal of change. Apox becamse less isolationist and joined in the regional affairs of Esportiva, our standing growing in the region so much so that between the years of 576-582 the regional delegacy of Esportiva was held in Apox, with ambassador Jemima Cafrew, being Esportiva's representative in the World assembly. These days, we have less power in the region but are still an important nation.

TRANSPORTATION

Apox has a quite varied road system, with the roads around Dwile being very well maintained, but with the roads further away often being one-track and almost dirt paths. However, our railway system, the Apox National Railway is a very good service, and is one of the most reliable railways in Esportiva with all parts of the country well connected and a high-speed rail line travelling from Dwile to Gwinevra and onto the Licentian Isles. Our four main airports Dwile Capital Airport, Mandon District Airport (just outside Dwile), Gwinevra Airport and Urbanista Regional Airport are spread out over the country and have flights from many countries.

SPORTS
This cup marks fourty years since Apox emerged from the wilderness to compete in the 48th Baptism of Fire. Apox has plenty of history in international competition now, having reach the finals of the World Cup on nine occasions, making it out of the groups 3 times. Closer to home, Apox has won the Campionato three times, putting us as one of the better achieving and consistent nations in the region. The national team reached a high of 19th in the KPB rankings after World Cup 72 and has the honour of becoming the first team from Esportiva to advance to the knock-out rounds of the World Cup.

Domestically, the Apox National League is the one of the more historic leagues in the Multiverse, previously being ranked as the best league for a number of seasons prior to Apox's withdrawal from international competitions due to a crippling corruption scandal which swept through the country. The biggest clubs, such as Dwile Warriors, Gwinevra Barbarians, FC Endeavour and Barbury Town still have a lot of international weight, although Dwile Warriors are the only team to have won the Champion's Cup. These days, the ANL is working its way back up the UICA rankings, and is currently 25th.

Apox is also a key player in various sports organisations, having had the Presidency of the Rugby World Cup being in Apox, as well as the dual-Presidency of international cricket being in Apox, with Liventia being the co-President. Most excitingly, and most recently, the Presidency of the WCC, the organising committee for multiversal football moved to Apox, with Miriam Whittaker, the President of the AFB, moving post as a result. Miriam Whittaker remained President of the WCC from WC72-74.

Mattijanan Roster and Information for Campionato Esportiva 23

The Story So Far

Despite a series of fairly average results in the World Cup, Mattijana have quietly risen to the position of regional heavyweights within Esportiva. Successive bronze medals in the 20th and 21st tournaments were finally broken by a second-place finish in the 22nd addition, despite a 5-0 drubbing by Brenecia in the final.
It is Brenecia's extra level of quality that has perhaps prevented the team from gaining too many plaudits, but for the first time ever, Dusan Vukoja's team comes into the tournament with some pressure on their shoulders as they look to upgrade their silver to a gold. CE 23 will indeed be the first in which Mattijana find themselves as a pot 1 team.

The team have also found some rejuvenation since last cycle. The second place in Damukuni followed by a much more respectable performance in World Cup qualifying than in previous years meant that Dusan Vukoja saved his job and an injection of youth and dynamism has seen optimism rise amongst the general public. Whilst the national team has been known to crumble under such pressure, Vukoja will hope a domestic season and some hard work during the international off-season will have prepared the team for the challenges of the tough international matches on the way.

Team Info

Formation

Head Coach: Dusan Vukoja
Appointed manager around a month before his first game in charge, Vukoja left Division 1 side FK Puljanka for the National team job, having recorded the club’s best finish in 10 years with 5th, behind only Burges, the two Petrovijanka clubs and FK Revinka. The south-Mattijanan had previously spent time at FK Burges both as assistant and full-time manager after a spell at lower-table side Jamas, where he succeeded in rescuing the team from almost imminent relegation. Now aged 42, Vukoja did not enjoy a lengthy playing career due to injury, but says that coaching is his real passion.
With Ljubanik’s style of play turning increasingly turgid and results also suffering, the Mattijanan FA and fans decided to seek a more exciting brand of football that had been on show at Puljanka in their 5th-place success last season. However the pressure was on the new man to deliver both results and more exciting football.

Assistant Manager: Dominik Samikov (FK Burges)

The assistant manager at Championship leaders FK Burges hails from the North-East of Mattijana and began his career at Dinamo Legisaw, another division 2 side before then moving as one of the tactical staff to FK Burges, where he has since worked his way up the pecking order to assistant manager. He has an excellent tactical mind as well as good player welfare skills and helps out Ljubanik in both management areas. He has so far proved himself to be a capable aid.

Head Scout: Marcel Kuzbacher

Marcel Kuzbacher is a seasoned scout, mainly plying his trade for the famed Puljanka Academy. He has links with numerous players in the Mattijanan squad as well as the under-21 side and makes up the 3-man selection panel alongside Samikov and Ljubanik.

Fitness Coordinator: Jelena Neumanič

Jelena Neumanič is responsible for the diet and fitness of the squad, freeing up the main management team to think about tactical matters. She has a solid variety of exercises and is well-known for getting on player's backs if they don't keep up with their expected effort levels.

Psychologist: Samira Kazmir

Samira Kazmir is an experienced sports psychologist who has done work for both the summer and winter Olympic teams, the Mattijanan ITT side and the MRT motor racing team. She is responsible for the mental welfare of players, stretching from the collective mind-set to more personal issues for each individual in the squad. It's a far-reaching and often complicated task.

The Medical Team:

Head Doctor: Dr Charlotte Smitič
Assistant Doctor: Dr Mattias Buranov
Physio: Martina Laramazič
Physio: Mika Glasnić

The Players:
GK-Lucija Handanovic-#12-Age 27-FK Revinka
Understudy to Matej Handanovic for most of Ljubanik’s tenure, Lucija is favourite to start between the sticks for Mattijana in the upcoming qualifiers. The 25 year old has impressed for club side Revinka in the recent season with both solid performances and heroic clean-sheets and will be tricky to keep out of a starting place.

LB-Helena Neumann-#2

The Burges Player is a regular in the championship leading side and will provide a good defensive option with the occasional run forward to help out the wingers. Barring any injuries or unlikely suspensions, she will play all of Mattijana's matches,

CB- Rikard Illicić-#14
The first Mattijanan player to move abroad, specifically to the top dovision in Buyan, Illicić is widely expected to replace Edvard Crajasović in the starting lineup on the retirement of the current first choice centre back. He is modelled in a similar style as his older counterpart too. He's big, he's strong and despite being slower than other defenders, he is able to stamp his authority on attackers. Expect him to start matches, particularly against lower-ranked opposition.

CB-Katija Burnisevič-#4-Captain

Another Burges Player, Burnisevič is a potential answer to Crajasović's clumsiness and is a quick, skilful and sure-footed player capable of taking the fight to those attempting to run through. She is a dedicated player, happy to chase any lost cause until the ball crosses the line. Her lack of physical strength may be her weakness however and she could be a potential target for more powerful strikers.

RB-Kevin Krychowiak-#13-Age 23-Matbirjke
Another promotion from the under 23s, Krychowiak is a typical modern full-back with his pace and attacking mindset. It is his similarity to current starter Dominik Illisević that keeps him on the bench for now, but he is in Dušan Vukoja's plans this cycle both off the bench and perhaps even to start in games against lower-ranked opponents.

LM-Sophia Velezia-#16
A mazy winger with less raw pace, but the ability to turn any defender into a messy knot, Velezia is a constant challenge to keep quiet on her day and normally gets through at some point if she hits top form. Her mercurial nature is her biggest and arguably only weakness, but Mattijana will be well-placed if she can get it together.

CM-Marko Hojbjerg-#7

Now a mainstay of the team at the age of 26, Hojbjerg is a playmaker with good awareness and passing ability and is the perfect fit for Ljubanik's technical brand of football. Useful for connecting the more attacking players ahead of him, he is also integral in providing the start or the killer pass in a counter-attack. When no forward options are available, he's not afraid to hit one and occasionally finds the back of the net from improbable ranges.

CM-Katarina Jakupovic-#15
Captain of Mattijana’s under-23 side, Jakupovic is a part of Vukoja’s turn to a more attractive style with Jago Adrianov, the midfield enforcer out and the instinctive passer promoted to a starting role. The 24 year-old Snezn player has impressed with both her technique and maturity in the early years of her career and is touted as a future Mattijanan captain after a successful run in the Under-23s.

RM-Jessika Struna-#9

A pacey winger who's preferred play is to make a run and then a cross, the 27 year old Struna is a dynamic and different part of the Mattijanan team. Tipped for a move to Petrovijanka or Burges, Struna chose to stay at Revinka, close to her family and in the town she loves.

CAM-Mattias Hoffman-#8-Age 25-Rapid Petrovijanka
Hoffman established himself as an impact player during the 79th cycle, scoring twice from the bench and making a substitute appearance in 15 of the 18 games. He offers a dynamic and direct approach when required and has cut open tired defences on a number of occasions. His consistency across longer periods has so far kept him out of the first team, but he remains a very useful and versatile player for Vukoja.

FW-Mathilde Lekarisa-#10

Rapid Petrovijanka's 29 year old forward is a lethal finisher with a left foot that makes up for a lack of power with high precision. She enjoys running onto through balls and cutting inside to curl shots into the far corners of the goal. She is expected to play well having scored 5 goals in her last 4 games for Rapid.

The Bench:
GK-Matej Handanović-#1
The 30 year old Mattijanan number 1 plays under Matej Ljubanik at FK Petrovijanka and has been a solid, if unspectacular option between the sticks for most of his career. He has good handling skills and makes few mistakes, but could be replaced if he fails to make the spectacular stops expected of him. He may also face renewed competition from the younger and more dynamic Martin Vaskaric.

RB-Dominik Illisević-#5

Now a regular for FK Puljanka, Illisević is a punchy and pacey player with outstanding fitness and good crossing ability. His defensive technique is the biggest question mark, but if he can have a solid match at the back, he will undoubtedly be a danger coming forward.

CB-Edvard Crajasović-#3

The towering centre back is a regular for a Revinka side currently sitting fourth in the division 1 table. His height gives him a significant advantage when defending high balls and presents a threat at set-pieces. However, he can be clumsy when faced with skilful runners and does rely on a more quick-footed defensive partner in order to be successful.

LM-Sofiane Bisrali-#6
From the less familiar setting of Shalkar in the South-East, Bisrali has the pace and skill that Vukoja is looking for in his wingers. Replacing the mercurial Sophia Velezia in the starting line-up, the 23 year old has a lot to live up to early in his career, but has the chance to do it on the biggest stage.

CAM-Juliana Kjofmann-#22-Age 25-Weststrand FK

FW- Kara Lorenzič, age 23, Matbirjke

FW-Andreas Weiss-#11

The 31 year old Burges Striker has been a fixture in the Mattijanan team for a while now and has matched his performances for the national side with consistent scoring form for FK Burges. He is a poacher with the ability to be in the right place at the right time for any pull-back into the box. Also a good header of the ball, Weiss will be an intimidating target for high crosses if the Mattijanan plan-B is needed.

The Reserves:

GK-Martin Vaskaric-#19-Age 23-FK Antalja
LB-Lara Ljunavic-#20-Age 29-FK Revinka
CM-Jasmina Kovac-#24-Age 21-Ljubala FK
ST-Daniella Alaba-#18-Age 27-Puljanka
It is difficult to tell where Alaba's strengths really lie as she is relatively quick, but not lightening fast and despite good strength, she is no match for more bulky defenders. Where she is effective is as a goal poacher, using positioning to find space to latch onto crosses and loose balls from fairly close range.

About Mattijana!

Mattijana is a large safe nation in Esportiva with a significant, but proportionate population. It spans a fairly large range of climates with the far north a colder area, the central region temperate, the south Mediteranean and the South-East semi-desert. Petrovijanka, the setting for this competition, is located almost exactly in the centre of the country at 214-232 metres above sea level. It has summer highs of around 28°C and lows of -5°C in the winter. There is a high level of sunshine for most of the year with precipitation mostly snowfall in the winter months.

Culturally, Mattijana can also be divided into six regions. The West of the country is largely Germanic whilst the centre North is a mix of Slavic and Germanic cultures, centred around Mattijana's second city, Burges. The North and East are more Scandinavian and speak Dansk, a language similar to Danish. The Centre (where Petrovijanka is situated) and the South are Slavic (similar to the Slovenian and Croatian cultures). There is an Arabic community in the South-East.

All Mattijanans speak the official language, Mattijanan. However, due to this not being spoken anywhere else in the World, English and German are well-spoken throughout the country whilst Arabic is taken on by the most intelligent students (in addition to English and German) as well as by those in the South-East.
There is no official religion in Mattijana due to this mix of cultures. Islam is popular in the South-East and parts of the South whilst some in the East follow the Mattijanan Orthodox church. Most people hold no religious belief, but believe in the universal philosophy of being kind, welcoming and helpful to others, known nationally as Jelenara. Even in religious communities, it is these principals that are most talked of with religious figures used to preach them.
Due to the mix/match nature of Mattijanan cultures and these philosophies, religious symbols are uncommon and religious tolerance is very high.

Attitudes to drink and sex are fairly liberal whilst there is good gender, sexual and racial equality. Social mobility is also good and the rich earn only twice as much as the poorest. Cannabis and similar recreational drugs are banned by law, with cannabis also forbidden for medical use.

The government follows mildly socialist policies meaning the tax rate is fairly high, but schools, hospitals and other public services are all well-funded and either free or reasonably-priced. Taxes on large businesses are higher than on small ones. The government building is the MattiStaja, which is situated on Staja square in the centre of Petrovijanka. All six regions have their own smaller congresses however. Politicians are generally appreciated and although public decisions are limited to elections and important political decisions where the main population is the most affected, most citizens feel well represented due to the numerous meeting and discussion opportunities with their local politician.
All parties follow a similar philosophy, but mainly disagree on where to fund the most. The MattijanaLeušaBuro is the current elected party and have an emphasis on public services, but other popular parties are the ViroBuro (who generally promote the needs of the environment) and the NašinalBuro (who promote funding for employment opportunities).

Velestria — The National Team
Debutants Hoping to Build With Youth

A relatively new nation on the international stage, the one-time winners of the U18 Sporting World Cup and facing scrutiny after a self-imposed one-cycle ban from WCC-sanctioned events, the Velestrian national team once more returns with a new look and new aspirations following deep, impactful changes to the team. A long time coming off since footballing competition, the same generation still holds strong as the national team will look to hold their own.

Team & Tactical Information
Coming off disappointment at the last Cup of Harmony Velestria took place in, nearly four years ago; Devontan manager, Christopher Tajo Mendez who operated the much-maligned 4-4-2 during his brief first stint with the national team during COH 72 has constituted major works to revamping the squad, introducing a 3-2-3-2 line-up that sees former veterans of the national team exit in haste as the national team sees new players incorporated into the core of the team and former players exit from the fold. With need for better focus on defense, the team we're likely to see on display this time is going to likely be very defensive and have a lot of experimental players thrown in, the backbone of the national team is likely to be missing from this as we saw with new call-ups during the national selection camp which had many with piqued interest.

    Style modifier: -3.85
    Rank: 171st (KPB: 2.90)
    Usual formation: 3-2-3-2
Tactical breakdown: Judging from the proposed national team lineup that Tajo Mendez has put into circulation in recent weeks, a 3-2-3-2 lineup is meant to give a commanding presence to the backline. Former national team captain, Victor Parks is now retired from the fold, this gives rise to a need for a new captain a the first generation is effectively for the most-part gone from the consciousness of Velestria, a new antional team is likely to emerge from the fold guided at the top by new players who have shown in Prava Leveg. The midline looks healthy...Fursawa Utamara will be a lynchpin, at only 19 years he's looking more and more each day lie a bright star in that area. Given how the midline will need to function together, as a gel the early pairing at the midline look entirely foreign to us but also, at the same time worthwhile. Arguablly the greatest player in Velestrian history, Yellis Eugene is now a backthought in the mind of Velish football, he's finishing his last years — in footballing of course(!) in Acronius; seeing him return to the Starting XI seems very unlikely with the new tactics built in place. The front line is also forever changed; gone are the traditions of the front, Kevin Kyrell along with Edfrom Heartland, for years the front power and goal-scoring generators for the national team are now departed. Unproven men and women will need to fill shoes which at one point saw Velestria rise into the top-100, now once more Velestria will need, with the utilization of new tactics and skills, climb the table once more.

Al Gyzhon — The Gryphons

STARTING ELEVEN

Easton Thomas
Goalkeeper, 31 Club in Razenthuria: Athletic New Victoria. Caps: 23, clean sheets: 3
International Debut: North Prarie (South Toronto Invitational Cup)

Easton Thomas as 31 returns to charge as the goalkeeper of choice for Tajo Mendez, coming off a good season with the Swans in which he allowed only 23 goals on season. He hasn't played in any international tournaments in two consecutive years, however he's by far the best choice for the job. There's obvious concerns over his mentality entering this tournament, his team Athletic New Victoria was of course in a spiral trajectory, headed down this season. Easton Thomas's best days are likely behind him, his playing is going to be a big determinant on whether or not he remains with the team for the new World Cup cycle in which Velestria faces a grueling campaign to reemerge and fix the national team over time. Thomas also serves as a lynchpin for the person to succeed him, likely the youthful 23 year-old Diamond Gregory of Applegate City.

Matt Borell
Rightback, 20 Club in Razenthuria: Azuera. Caps: —, goals: —
International Debut: —

In the summer of 413 Borell was playing for the Velestrian U18 side which quietly rushed to the Sporting World Cup 5 U18 cup title which stunned many pundits, this unknown nation quietly able to produce a worthy youth team to rival the great power's youth academies in football. Borell continued to represent the U18 before progressing to the U21 which saw him seek action in 415 in the U21 Di Bradini Cup. Now he's received his first call up after performing exceptionally for Azuera en route to their march to a third successive title. One of the many on part of the ongoing rebuild that the national team is taking part in, Borell is looking to build on his successful display he was able to show to scouts three years ago and is looking to help the team move forth in the regional championships ever-so-slowly. Borell has flown under the radar in recent years and is only recently starting to come into his own part of the new generation of Velestrian football; new players taking the stage hoping to build a well-aligned national team.

Josh Reven
Centerback, 23 Club in Razenthuria: Gamba Calix. Caps: —, goals: —
International Debut: —
Another new tool for the national team, arriving from Gamba Calix; Pierre Denton's-lead side, Reven is the 23 year-old sensation who is likely to move to the big teams in Velestria; either Azuera, Fullham Rangers or of course the sleeping giant, Athletic New Victoria. Reven is the super-conservative centerback that the national team has been looking for...finally a man who can man the center-backfield with relative ease with the legs and knowledge to do so. A new pairing will call for loads of team chemistry, but the departure of Charity Williams from the centerback position after holing it up with Marcus White will be interesting. Quinlen Rasaux and Aiden Psikey showed to be a bad pairing in the handful of pairings we saw them in, Rasaux has been removed from the national team picture likely, Reven looks like the youthful, vibrant leadership that has been bound for the future.

Roy Norwood
Leftback, 20 Club in Razenthuria: Athletic New Victoria. Caps: 2, goals: —
International Debut: Northwest Kalactin (COH 72)

Roy Norwood is 20 years old. Another vetaren of the the magical U18 team which did well, this new man on the team is the only capped player of the backline, but he is far from the best man for the position, it seems as it he is being slowly developed by Tajo Mendez. We're slightly concerned over the decision to choose Norwood, he seems more-or-less to be a domestic player at best. However, there's a lot of leadership that's been shown by Norwood, he was a commanding presense in the Cup of Harmony, guiding lines for them although it was to no avail. Now, looking twoards the CE, he's expected to push for deeper defensive positions, he's developed continually for Athletic New Victoria, coming off a decent showing for the Swans. However, a lot of changes are likely to be made for Norwood in the coming weeks, there's hope to develop him over time.

Carson Singleson
Defensive right-midfielder, 26 Club in Razenthuria: Peachtree FC. Caps: —, goals: —
International Debut: —

The captain of Peachtree F.C. in Prava Leveg, he commanded the midfield for the team; using leadership and expected high-octane play, he showed he knew what he was doing. Certainly, he's earned the call-up, after prowling on the sidelines always on the outside looking in; it now appears as if he finally will have the chance he needs to prove himself. At 26, he's older than most of the other players remaining in the national team; however his time with Peachtree F.C. shows how much of a hero he is. Setting up in defensive sets, his points will be needed for the developing defense that's forming its nucleus.

O.J. Peaflower
Defensive left-midfielder, 29 Club in Razenthuria: Old Birmingham City. Caps: —, goals: —
International Debut: —

Youthful, exuberant; he not connected with well-known national team star, Frank Peaflower. Instead, O.J. Peaflower is his own man coming off a good season with club, old Birmingham City; scoring 7 goals and controlling a midfield that was shown to be strong and in position to control the tempo of games much better than the previous. Peaflower is likely one of the older palyers on the team and will need to learn quickly however due to his inexperience on the national team; he'll have chances to learn the ropes as some older players are also on the team to give guidance. However, Peaflower himself is a natural-born leader, even us ourselves are slightly surprised he was not named team captain of the national team for the CE, perhaps attributing to his inexperienced with the national team. If Peaflower can click well with Singleson that offers a good pairing at the second midline which could be very opportunistic for jumpstarting a counterattack.

Vronin Ingles
Right center-midfielder, 23 Club in Razenthuria: Fullham Rangers. Caps: —, goals: —
International Debut: —

Making his debut after a big move from the Velestrian third division to the Prava Leveg to the Fullham Rangers, Vronin Ingles is going to be a well-serviced player moving forth for the national team. The play we've seen from him is nothing short of spectacular and magical. While, of course he has much development left to do over the next few years, he's offered a glimpse of brilliance in one season with the Fullham Rangers. Billed as a quicker, faster Yeellis Eugene, living up to the hype surrounded by the former position of Eugene is going to be a big one, not notoriously known for his prowess at wing and more for his habit to find the goal. Ingles in all his time only has 7(?) goals in one season, nothing screaming wonderman in his first appearance in the top division.

Evans Thirdgray
Center-midfielder, 26 Club in Razenthuria: Fullham Rangers. Caps: 5, goals: 0
International Debut: Acronius (COH 72)

Evans Thirdgray? Who is this? Another elusive defender who masquerades as a center-midfielder, that’s who — Thridgray arrives as yet another new player who will be tasked with playing as a Starting XI member of the Velestrian national team, he comes in when the team is suffering from injury after injury and reeling in domestic play. Now, after being a good defensive presence last season, he seems to have elevated his game to a new height this season – and its paid off as he received an invite from Tajo Mendez to play on the national team. Another promoted player from the domestic leagues, it seems that he looks to be the most-complete midfielder at the Fullham Rangers, he wouldn’t be the first player to shine on the world stage after a quick promotion. Right now, Thirdgray should be looking to dish off and learn the ropes — he has so much time to become the big man for the Gryphons, he’s 26, guaranteed to still be around for at least two more World Cup cycles. Thirdgray will view this chance as an opportunity, a chance to gel with the new team and learn the ropes of the team. His presence cannot be denied however, he’ll be involved in some defensive work and will try to assist in enforcing an offside trap.

Furusawa Utamara
Left center-midfielder, 19 Club in Razenthuria: Azuera. Caps: 6, goals: 8
International Debut: Banija (post-WC81 cycle friendlies)

The bright sensation billed as being the answer to Yellis Eugene, Furusawa Utamara is a technically skilled maestro who we've only seen on display in six games; in that period he's been able to rack up 8 goals. With that in mind, that tells us plenty — great things are in store for Utamara. Of course, there's youthful inefficiencies he'll need to work through, typical growing pains of a player like him.

Chris Goddard
Striker, 28 Club: Palame (ACR). Caps: 4, goals: 3
International Debut: Qusmo (friendly)

Nothing more than a solid transition piece to the next breed of strikers for the national team, for starters the time of the Kyrell-Heartland two=point domination of the striker position is gone. Goddard finally moves into and steps up as a striker, however at 28 I don't expect his time with the first team to be exceptionally long. Additionally, Goddard hasn't played in sometime at his club in Acronius and has expressed his wishes for a move to a more-suitable league; Goddard is likely one of the biggest wastes of talent the team has gone thru for the national side; likely to expire soon before he can get any real action. However, he can use this as a chance to get back into the fold of national team training, a talented player he can assist the other strikers who will likely play alongside them as he grooms them to replace himself.

Augusta Clark
Striker, 18 Club in Razenthuria: Reading Athletic. Caps: —, goals: —
International Debut: —

She's a specimen for the future striker job with the national team; sure, in her first season she managed only 12 goals, however the drawback with her are very small. Augusta Clark has the makings of a better Kevin Kyrell, from ball control to shot accuracy, the upside with this youthful, vibrant player is so incredibly large we find ourself pleased o see her likely to feature for the national team. Aside from that, a thoruough investigation into Calrk has not really been done enough for analysis; last season in the Prava Leveg II she racked up 18 goals; so she certainly will have en eye for the net!

APOX CAMPIONATO ESPORTIVA 23

Manager: Luxulya St. Cleer, Aged: 42
Assistant Manager: Sverre Devold (BYN), Aged: 44
Style: -0.5

Spiel: After a return to the World Cup last year, Luxulya St. Cleer and the Apoxian national team are hoping for good things in the Campionato - the first football tournament hosted at home since World Cup 73 all those years ago. This is a strong squad, although one where many of the young players have been preferred over a number of the more experienced players - who will be back for the World Cup I'm sure. Alpha Gandhi has said this will be his last competition in an Apoxian shirt, as the mercurial but also prolific striker looks set to hand over the baton to the younger generation. James Palmisano and Imriel Townsend remain world class in midfield and the midfield is probably this teams strongest area - although Tregatta Spitfire at the back continues to improve and has what it takes to become one of the best keepers in the world.

Luxulya St. Cleer has seen great success with her 4-1-2-3 formation and so it is of little surprise to see her sticking to it for another cup. The first team is pretty settled, although the spectacular form of Jarls Magarhatery up front means he is likely to see quite a lot of gametime this tournament. Up front, the young dynamic pair of Cassiopeia Quintero and Clarissa Ephraim-Garza are the currently preferred wide players, although Winston Arrowsmith and Marcy Blake-Tatum may get some gametime there as well. At the back, all the starters are undisputed first choices.

Presenting the roster for the small cheerleading obsessed nation of Cheergirls! Note that other then a player designated as the goalkeeper, they have no positions. The team essentially runs around at will with no organization, whatsoever. Yes, they wear a full cheerleading uniform on the field.

Coach- Sarah Corston (26) (Mikayla’s older sister)

Designated Starting Goalkeeper:
#1- Megan Gillespie (20)

Other Starters
#2- Mikayla Corston (18) (Captain)
#3- Carlie Shanahan (19)
#4- Brianna Hayden (20)
#5- Tori Robilliard (19)

#7- Stephie Martinson (21)
#8- Zoey Wixson (18)
#9- Shannon Survoy (22)
#10- Erica Carter (22)
#11- Ashley Cahill (20)

(Again, there are no organized positions, so don't assume common forward numbers like 9/10/11 are the most common scorers. Anyone is equally capable of scoring).

Designated Goalkeepers- Bench:
#50- Jennifer Devault (20)
#51- Hannah Cooper (18)

Also On Roster:
#12- Emma Durbin (19)
#13- Katherine Corsi (22)

#23- Maureen Schneider (19)
#24- Morganne Pomorski (19)
#25- Jackie Albright (20)

Nations RP’ing against us are free to use anyone in the “Also On Roster” section as a substitute.

Home Stadium: The backyard of Corston residence. A couple sets of bleachers will be provided to allow for a capacity of about 750. Sarah & Mikayla’s parents will provide a concession stand serving chips and bottles of water. Perhaps they buy more seating if there is demand. Visiting teams will be able to use the basement of the Corston residence as their locker room. There are no showers down there, though, so you’ll just have to deal with it.

Style Mod: +1

South Toronton Official Squad For The Cup of Harmony 73

Sol Taranatoin Oficals Skoonde Fuis Losk Cupyes Ir Campionato Esportiva Pahzerrateckh

Well, here we go again. After getting through to the last 16 of the Cup of Harmony, and losing 2-0 to Tinhampton, the players have definitely transitioned from boys into men, as we enter the 23rd edition of the Campionato Esportiva. South Toronto has only gotten stronger through Ellayandzer's management, but they come into this tournament ranked in the 3rd pot. Walker has made no changes to the side that went to Cassadaigua for the Cup of Harmony, but can he deliver here?

Nickname: The Phoenixes

Style Mod: +1

Manager: Elllayandzer Walker

Walker led the Phoenixes to the final of the Baker Park Open Cup and has replaced the deadwood in the squad with new, fresh players that featured in that tournament. The 43-year-old was never a player, but he coached various youth teams and made his way up the managerial ladder before being appointed as interim manager of South Toronto's B team. He massively overachieved with our B team and surprised fans when he constantly contended to be a playoff team, before finishing 4th in the group. He achieved a Round of 16 finish, before losing to Tinhampton, and is now an inspiration to young people because of his leadrship skills. Can he do it again?

Formation: 4-3-3

The wingbacks, usually Praye de Lood and Jeremías San Jose, essentially are wide midfielders when on the counter-attack, with the wingers moving into a forward position. Paul Makanjoko and Ni Ling Son are found typically at the edge of the box, allowing Germanpreet Sachadev freedom to roam the attacking third. The front three don't track back to defend, but Paul Makanjoko and Ni Ling Son become centre-backs. while Germanpreet becomes a CDM. Ellayandzer Walker likes his players to be able to play multiple positions, as his system requires players to interchange between positions.

The Squad

Starting 11:

GK: Juan Estaban de Mites (Age 25) Juan is very confident in himself, and for being 6'9", why wouldn't he be? He's surprisingly athletic for a player his size and is one of the more experienced members of this squad. Thanks to Asmeh Asamoah Ondoa and Troi Esclaves poor performances, he's been named the number 1 of the team. Their lack of ability to use their feet made Ellayandzer Walker pick the goalkeepers who are good with their feet. So he picked Juan Esteban de Mites and Timaeus because they suit his style of play better, as well as generally being better goalkeepers. Juan sometimes makes irrational decisions when 1-on-1, bringing down his man in the box in an attempt to get the ball. But, out of 14 penalties, he's only conceded 3 so he can step up when he needs to. Overall, he's an experienced guy, but he needs to improve his decision making. Still, he is only 24, so he's got another 10-15 years to improve.

RB: Jeremías San Jose (Age 21) San Jose is a versatile defender, being able to play all positions in defence, LM, LW, and CDM. Naturally, he is a quick and agile player but when he does attack, he takes too long to track back. He is a good longshot taker and passer, which helps greatly when he's whipping the ball into the 6-yard-box for somebody to head it in the goal. He sometimes even has a crack at even 45-55 yards, but he only scores one every 10- 15 games. He'll be in the wing back role hopefully getting a few good crosses and maybe even a goal, and if he is really good offensively he might be moved to a winger position.

CB: Bryan Penelope (Age 20) Bryan is very physical and uses his absurd amount of strength to retrieve the ball. At 6'5", Bryan towers above most opponents and is usually the first one in both boxes to appear for a cheeky header or to head it clear of the box. He is quite a slow defender but is lighting quick in closing down his man and winning the ball back. He hoofs the ball up the field if he has no other options near him, and occasionally pops up with a last minute goal. Bryan is often quite aggressive when pursuing the ball, giving away fouls in the worst positions possible Bryan is working on controlling his anger through many therapy sessions and will be a force to reckon with in the future when he gets his anger under control.

CB: Jamal Seruku (Age 20) Jamal is always consistent tackling and passing and is the team's penalty taker. He can also take a good freekick and has been known to bang them in outside the box, but he isn't clinical inside the box. He also is the most aggressive player on the team, and he could play in CDM or even CM if he really wanted to because of his passing and technical, which is always consistent. However, Jamal heading accuracy is disgraceful, and being 6'3", it's baffling as to why his heading is so poor. He is a very annoying defender to come up against, as he won't stop persistently marking you.

LB: Praye de Lood (20) de Lood is the smartest player on the pitch, and got the most amount of assists on the team at the Baker Park Open Cup. He is a big game player and works extremely hard to help his team in any way possible. It seems his middle name is "90th" as he has got all his 19 career goals in injury time, and is just so good offensively Walker had to put him in the team. He will chase a player with the ball everywhere on the pitch, and blocks any shot he can block. Even though he is only 19, he is a role model to those around him in the team, and definitely impacts the team positively. However, he gets burnt out as he works so hard, so he can't feature for two games after playing 90 minutes. If de Lood can improve on his stamina, he is going to be a very important player for the Phoenixes.

CM: Paul Makanjoko (Age 19) Paul has time and time again proved critics wrong ever since way back in the BoF with his composure and exceptional crossing Insane dribbling skills, leaving defenders slipping and sliding all over the place. He does a lot of early crosses, but sometimes they can be quite poor, but it's a high risk and high reward. Paul is only 5'4" and often gets pushed around easily by opponents, but he draws fouls very easily. However, Paul is so bad at headers and volleys, his teammates never play a lobbed ball to him. However, miracles do happen, so maybe one day he'll improve those skills.

CM: Ni Ling Son(Age 22) Son of legendary South Toronton player Yung Ki Son, Ni Ling has been under a lot of pressure by the media to emulate and surpass his father's success. Ni Ling Son is arguably the most talented South Toronton player ever, although he has a long way to go to become a legend. Ni Ling is the glue that holds the team together and is one of the most versatile players in South Toronto being able to play almost all positions apart from the goalkeeper, showing how balanced his skills are. Ni Ling Son is quite small, being 5'6", but he uses his lack of height as an advantage, as he can dribble through an entire team. He and Makanjoko stay back to give Germanpreet Sachadev the freedom to push higher and higher up the pitch.

CM: Germanpreet Sachadev (Age 20) Germanpreet found an opportunity in the team to become a starter ahead of the incarcerated Kevin Yahaya, and to say he took it is an understatement. Germanpreet is very tall at 6'6" and is excellent in the air. A thundering left foot can catch keepers by surprise and is arguably the best long shot taker in the team after Toro St. Jose. He is quite clinical inside the box, but that's mainly due to his shot power. Germanpreet is still, the ultimate super sub and is the most likely to come off the bench and score a late equaliser. However, he is very inconsistent as one game he could be the best player on the pitch by far, the next game he is absolutely useless.

RW: Decepti Vardez Jr. (Age 17) Decepti Vardex Jr. is one to look out for in the future. His father, Aurelio Vardez, was a skilful striker with an amazing left foot, but his career was cut short due to injuries. He is a very skilful player and is both footed, which will make him very dangerous on the wings and can put in some good crosses into the box, where someone will gladly head it home. Even when Vardez dribbles at defenders, his huge burst of pace leaves defenders in the dust and his vision is exceptional. He is not even allowed to drive yet and has to be chaperoned by an adult everywhere, but he is already starting for South Toronto's national team. Vardez cannot shoot from outside the box, and it's quite perplexing as he has a powerful shot on him. He's quite an inexperienced player, and could that inexperience will get the better of him, or can the teenager prove all his doubters wrong?

ST: Jozy Dembele(Captain) (Age 19) Proving his worth, Jozy has performed consistently at a high level. A phenomenal dribbler, he is calm on the ball and doesn't rush good opportunities. He is the complete forward and despite being 6'4" and weighing 193 lbs, he is a very pacey and explosive player on the ball. Jozy is a clinical finisher and can score from almost anywhere on the pitch, and he scores goals for fun. He is a phenomenal dribbler, able to get himself out of tricky situations and is a good distributor of the ball. He steps up and scores important goals for the team. Jozy is an actual leader and is the most humble and hardworking member of the team. However, like Praye de Lood, he can't be played too much and has to be subbed off by the 60th minute, or he'll take 3 games to be fully rested.

LW: Tyrese Townsend (Age 19) Tyrese is a very skilful player and is a brilliant finisher with an almost trademark finesse shot into the bottom corner. Tyrese can play in all attacking positions, outpaces defenders to cut inside and either take that trademark finesse shot or drill it to another teammate in the box. His off the ball movements are incredible, and he always weaves his way into little pockets of space the defenders leave for him, allowing him to have a crack on goal or set up a teammate. The curve on his left foot is magical, so magical in fact sparkles fly out of his shoes whenever he scores. However, stick a man or two on him and he's like a lost child, wandering around the pitch in search of the ball.

Image

Bench:

CM: Rosolgi Gliscorga (Age 19) Rosolgi is a classic box-to-box midfielder and is quite a versatile player as he's able to play on either side of the wings, wing-back, and centre-back. Gliscorga is heavily defensively orientated and is the type of player who hunts down the ball and retrieves it as quickly as possible, so he can start a counter-attack. He is also is quite clinical and is a master at volleys and will bang it into the back of the net, no matter the angle. Rosolgi is not the quickest player, but is fast enough to dribble at the defenders and beat them. He seems like the perfect midfielder, yet his distribution of the ball is poor and is simply not a gifted passer. Still, being only 18, he has a lot of time to improve.

LB: Devante Marie Tiberius (Age 20) He was the son of the former leader of South Toronto Tiberius Prombase before he was executed in a military coup. Devante is the best long passer and shooter on the team, being able to lob the ball from one end of the pitch to the other. He also takes the longer freekicks from 35-40 yards, and occasionally the shorter ones. He is very fast for an LB and could almost be placed in CM for his passing and shooting. Tiberius is an excellent player, provided he doesn't trip over fucking thin air and injure himself. With our luck, his terrible balance will drag an attacker down, and he'd get a red card for it. He isn't good at marking and forgets his duties as soon as the ball is back in play.

CM: Delta Nekanir (Age 26) Another experienced member in the squad, Delta Nekanir is more attacking than most of the other midfielders. The way he glides past entire teams and does little fancy flicks excites everybody in the stadium. Delta is a quality player both on and off the ball and mostly plays in a number 10 role, and his hawk-eyed vision can pick out any pocket of space his teammates can run into. As is the theme of the team, Delta is agile and his pace, dribbling and flair are enough to induce nightmares in his opponents well before the matchday. Delta is quite weak physically, and so sometimes he can get away with soft fouls, but he uses that to his advantage and sometimes dives to win a penalty or dangerous free kick. Nevertheless, if the starting midfield wasn't so stacked, Delta Nekanir would most definitely be a starter for the Phoenixes.

RW: Quinque Dembele (Age 18) Jozy Dembele is his older brother, and the Dembele brothers don't just look alike, but they share similar qualities as well. A complete forward, Quinque is a winger that crosses the ball almost perfectly everytime, and usually adds some flair to the otherwise boring game with exhilarating tricks and his many solo runs. Unlike Tyrese Townsend, Quinque doesn't have to cut inside, as he's both footed, and blasts the ball into the goal, and if there is any curve it would take the absolute best goalkeeper to save his shot. He is intelligent both on and off the ball and can take on 9-10 players surrounding him and he still will find some space to pass to his teammate or shoot. He is the undisputed quickest player on the team, but amongst the other players, he is the physically weakest in the squad. Add his weakness with inadequate stamina, and that equals a player that can't play every game, but when he does play, it will be exciting.

GK: Timaeus (Age 17) The starting goalkeeper at the Baker Park Open Cup, Timaeus is an agile goalkeeper that can pull off spectacular saves, and was one of the best players for the 'B' team, although he just chose the wrong time to blow up when Juan Esteban de Mites is becoming an established goalkeeper. The 17-year-old is surprisingly quite mature for his age and is in the squad because of his ability to use his feet, while the other goalkeepers like Ashmeh Asamoah Ondoa and Troi Esclaves feet ability are subpar to Timaeus'. He isn't the tallest goalkeeper, being 6'1", but he makes up for his lack of height with his lightning quick reflexes, and his ability to launch the ball deep into the opponent's half. Timaeus is inexperienced, although he's a solid goalkeeper and has at least 15-20 years to improve.

CB: Javonte Willock (Age 20) Javonte is the classic centre-back. He lunges into tackles mercilessly and hoofs the ball up the field.
At 6'8", he's the first man in the box to slam the ball into the back of the net. If he's in a bad mood, he could very easily knock players out without actually meaning to, and is generally aggressive in nature. Don't expect him to be dribbling with the ball, as his complete lack of ball control makes his first touch look like a pass. Javonte always stays back on the attack, even if his team needs a late goal, simply because he is abysmally bad at anything to do with the offence. Somehow, he can only pass to someone within a 20-yard radius and is otherwise entirely useless going forward.

CB: Jay-Jay Rerin (Age 23) Rerin is an all-around solid CB, he can grab the game by the scruff of its neck and pushes upfield whenever he spots an open teammate. His eyes glow red whenever he steps foot on a pitch, and he might as well have laser eyes as his passes are always on point. He uses his strength to wade off any attackers off the ball, and could head the ball all the way back at the halfway line and still score. But he can make the stupidest and pointless fouls, and while the opposition's fans are cheering and laughing at Rerin's defending, the South Toronton fans will be cursing Rerin. And for some reason, whenever he shoots, his shoe flies off as well.

ST: Ligti Sabir (Age 17) Ligti Sabir is the present and future for South Toronto. His blistering speed and exceptional dribbling will wreak havoc for the defenders facing up against him, and a powerful right foot will hammer it in from all ranges of the pitch. Ligti is technically gifted and possesses great passing skills, although he's rather selfish and goes for the shot unless his teammates have a high chance of scoring. 'Freekick' is his middle name as he has magnificent curve when he shoots, curling high into the top corners or the net. His footballing intelligence for a teenager is magnificent and can light up big games if his team are losing. He's shown he can perform in big games and is a super-sub, however, Ligti Sabir is quite injury prone and picks up the occasional 1-4 week injury, but hasn't got a major injury yet.

ST: Artjorm Petrov (Age 20) Artjorm is a skilful, quick and nimble player, showcasing his wide range of skills, fancy flicks, and tricks to fool defenders, making them look like they are amateurs and bolts away from the defender to create a chance for himself or the team. Artjorm is able to play a vast variety of attacking positions, from both wings, striker, centre-forward and even CAM, and is deadly from 12 yards. He is efficient, hard-working, and most of all, is a true communist who shares everything with his teammates works for the team. Petrov generally thinks he can talk to the referee however he wants but is surprised when a booking comes his way but is still a very talented and entertaining player.

CM: Theon Keptezos (Age 20) Theon Keptezos is like Ni Ling Son, good at everything. He is versatile as he can play CB, CDM, CAM, on both wings and RB and LB, which is extremely useful when someone becomes injured. He works hard to get the ball and feed the ball into space for the wingers to run into. He is a natural leader and is incredibly strong on the ball, and once he has there's no taking it from him. If he wanted to, Theon could play for 2 hours and still won't be affected by fatigue. Although he isn't heavily involved with the team's attack, Keptezos always puts in solid passes and tackles and is very mature, as he rarely gets booked. Shooting is not his cup of tea, but he has popped in with a goal or two every now and again.

RB: Andre Tomanke (Age 21) A very physical wing-back, Andre will put his body on the line to block any attempts of a shot. He is also versatile as well, being able to play wingback, winger, or CM, and has some good playmaking abilities. When he makes those overlapping runs, he uses his creativity to find a good goal-scoring chance. Although Andre Tomanke is not the fastest player, his style of defending, the sweeper, makes up for it as he lunges into any tackle, and will earn the ball back for his team, wherever the ball is on the pitch. Andre will do anything to give his team an advantage, whether it is moving the ball a couple of yards forward when it's a dangerous freekick or even using a hand to block an open goal. He's the biggest cheat in South Toronton football, so don't be surprised when he commits heinous offences. Most fans outside of South Toronto will think Andre Tomanke is a dickhead, but wouldn't your players do the same in that situation?

LW: Kenza North (Age 23) To finish the squad up, Kenza North is the tiny 5'1" forward that can wiggle through the defence with ease, and half the time the defenders can't actually see him dribbling. Kenza is very quick and is extremely agile, and once he gets the ball he is going straight towards the goal to shoot. His low centre of gravity makes him one of the best dribblers on the team and is generally the most annoying player on the pitch, just because most defenders can't make such a harsh challenge and that he's too quick and nimble to even tackle properly and legally, without getting booked. What Kenza lacks in height, he is a very clinical finisher and uses just enough curl technique, and power to strike it into the goal. Of course, Kenza is a very weak player and always starts against big, clumsy defenders so he can capitalise on their mistake. He is also injury prone, however, that's expected as defenders can put too much work into a challenge and slide into him, injuring him in the process.

HINODEJIN EMPIRE NATIONAL TEAM
"The Poltergheists"

Image
Image

Black jerseys, black shorts and black socks. We'd have a full ediraf one as well but our suggestion kind of drove one guy mad.
Image

Once upon a time, men dreamed of travelling to space. They then dreamed of doing other stuff in space. They also dreamed of establishing bases, taking their steps, possibly creating large weapons just because it had to be done. The Hinodejin Empire gives no tosses. Instead of dominating the space, it actually invited some of its' client planets to send players for a little tournament. What harm could be done?

Image
#01 - GK - Hata ECHIZEN - Race: Shinigami, Planet: Keros - Age: 34
Legend has it that Keros was a pristine planet until its' original inhabitants wasted its' resources with greed and lust. As punishment by some unknown forces, their planet was stripped barren besides the underground and its' inhabitants became freakishly tall, masked creatures that are known as the Shinigami. Men like Hata Echizen have since seemed to be in a mission to repent for their predecessor's mistakes. Albeit very much aware of the fertility of the worlds abroad, Hata insists on avoiding any sort of debauchery. It's a mystery how he's able to stand up still, but he's apparently going to be the team's goalkeeper anyway.

Image
#02 - RB - Momotaro TSUTSUBA - Race: Hatobito, Planet: Vincent - Age: 22
Vincent, the Planet of Birds, hosts a myriad of species, but none are quite as dominant (and quite as annoying) as the Hatobito. Among its' members, lays the incredibly lazy Momotaro Tsutsuba. His participation in the squad was actually a punishment for his sloth by participating in the tournament. This half-pidgeon, half-man might actually be competent if he's taunted enough to do so.

Image
#03 - CB - MOKUTOKO - Race: Mokutoko, Planet: Kashiki - Age: ?
A body made of wood that is quite literally the sole survivor of the planet Kashiki. The population of its' home planet was decimated in what many of the folks responsible for Hinodejin expansion through space have called it a massive failure, although this creature doesn't seem to show much resentment. In fact, it doesn't seem to show anything at all. It really only appears to gain conscience whenever it's time to actually play. Could be the oldest member of the team, since the wood used to create him seems to date over five centuries.

Image
#04 - CB - SPACE KNUCKLES - Race: Echidna, Planet: Mobius - Age: 18
The new space porcupine on the block with the buff chest / In the space wilderness with the ruggedness / Knock, knock, it's Space Knuckles, the bloat thrower / Independent flower, Magical Space Emerald holder / I'll give you the coldest space shoulder / My space spikes go through
space boulders, that's why I stay a loner / I was born by myself, I don't need a space posse / I get it on by myself, space adversaries get shelved

Image
#05 - LB - Seiya KUSUO - Race: Natenna, Planet: Elsys - Age: 17
Elsys is a surprisingly normal planet, not unlike Earth, which means its' inhabitants, the Natenna people look fairly similar to humans, although equipped with antennas on their heads. Seiya Kusuo is their brightest member, although that means he's the brightest psychic in a race of psychics... therefore ruling his life pretty boring. Football is an opportunity for him to find something fun to do for once.

Image
#06 - RM - Ito NIIJIMA - Race: Niijima, Planet: Shinpaku - Age: 18
The Planet of Shinpaku's tale tells of a true "rule of the strong", albeit the lines of good and evil seem to be drawn by their own inhabitants. Technically, their planet is the only one amongst all of the ones that sent players to participate in the tournament that has never really agreed to be part of the Hinodejin Space Empire. Alas, some guy called Ito Niijima was on the run and asked to participate. That's about it regarding him.

#07 - CM - Nagase MITSUHIDE - Race: Yato, Planet: Lapin - Age: 18
A lightweight that hits like a heavyweight, that's a description of not only this miss but her entire race. Hailing from the Planet of Lapin, Nagase was offered as a member of the team by one of the Yato tribes' chiefs. The idea was that sending one of his daughters to take part in the Hinodejin squad would serve as a display of gratitude. A fairly serious player to the point of bordering comedy, Nagase is a surprisingly decent center-midfield and her race has been shown to be quite resilient, to the point where it's more likely that defenders would take the brunt of damage even at sliding tackles. If only Nagase didn't prefer to skip training sessions for more meals, this girl could soon be a professional out there.

Image
#08 - LM - Yoroi GOKIBURI - Race: Konshuman, Planet: Garbodor - Age: 25
Garbodor's toxic surface doesn't allow for much life, but a race known as the Konshuman have adapted to that planet thanks to an exoskeleton rich in anti-toxines. Yoroi is a member of the illustrious Gokiburi family, all of which have the unfortunate feature of looking like a giant flying cockroach while being possibly some of the nicest folks in the universe. Yoroi actually enlisted to participate out of his own volition, saying it'd be pretty fun to play football at the Hinodejin's home planet. He also requested that any sort of wage given by the federation should be instead spent helping the poor.

Image
#09 - RW - Kaito MIKITAKA - Race: Nu, Planet: Morioh - Age: 215
The Nus tend to be talented conmen, so much so that Kaito here said he was an actual Hylian that dropped from his home planet and ended up at Morioh. Still, Mikitaka is an avid fan of football and has decided to grant this team his strength. It's probably just an excuse to get a vacation trip but still.

Image
#10 - ST - Angol PLUS - Race: Angol, Planet: Pekopon - Age: 15
Angol Plus is one of the few remaining Angols of the Pekopon Planet, a result of their cycles being limited in order to not cause the planet itself to implode in dozens of pieces. For a weapon of massive destruction, Angol Plus is surprisingly nice, happy and easy-going. Her football remains to be seen, however.

Image
#11 - LW - Kaguya HIDEYOSHI - Race: Lunarian, Moon: Tsuki - Age: ?
The sole person to come out from a moon, rather than a planet, is the carefree Kaguya Hideyoshi, who ended up being picked to join the team via lottery. Thing is, ever since she got herself a portable video game machine, a gift of the Empire, she's been avoiding training sessions and being usually a nuisance. Not the best show.

BENCH - WILL BE REVEALED THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT
MANAGER - Eleanor LINDGARD - Race: Human, Planet: Uh... which planet are we in again? - Age: 57 - [Style: 1,5]
A Brenecian manager of fair experience throughout the multiverse, although the most notable time of hers was managing Rozelle. Her first job as a national team manager is running this commemorative squad of Hinodejin Space Territories' players. Not really the usual debut for a manager, but the Empress wouldn't budge on her ideas...

RP PERMISSIONS
As you might've noticed, some of these players aren't human. Just wanted to point out they're still fairly close to being human, just in case. Please don't kill them. Injuries for large stretches of time have to be informed by telegram, or else they'll get the ignore cannon treatment. Anything else (bar anything that destroys any city of the empire or its' people, just in case anyone gets a bit too creative) is fine by me.

Tournament Date on Kernovian Calendars: 1980

What is Kernovi and Rewgwlas: Kernovi and Rewgwlas is a recently nation in the north of Esportiva consisting of the coastal island of Kernovi and the arctic island of Rewgwlas. In the year 1976, the United Kingdom of Kernovi and Rewgwlas was ruled by King Tristram IV and Premier Sir Hyrum Lister from the federal capital of Isca.

It is notable that Kernovi and Rewgwlas has two capitals, the federal capital of Isca on the Kernovian Island and the city of Kayanewl, capital of the Rewgwlasian island. This is owing to the distinct levels of autonomy granted to the Rewgwlas and it's Provincial Parliament.

Three official languages are spoken in Kernovi and Rewgwlas; Kernovian (OOC: a personally modified version of Cornish), English and Kernovian Icelandic.

The nation is heavily federalised. In 1976, the provinces of Kernovi and Rewgwlas are Isca, Swyftlandre-Asisi, the Stenlands, Pennsevik Meurig Enys, Rewgwlas and Petroc. By 1990, the provinces would be widened into Isca, Swyftlandre, Asisi, Sten Omdhi'Skans, Stengwlas, Pennsevik Meurig Enys, Rewgwlas and Petroc.

Kernovi and Rewgwlas in 1980:

Five years on from the unification treaty of Faywynne, the political golden age that was generated from unification of Kernovi and Rewgwlas and North Kernovi (Swyftlandre) into one nation, was coming to a close.

THE COLONY OF THE FHULGHAMOUS PENINSULA
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM

The Colony of the Fhulghamous Peninsula (Full-Gah-Moose) was first established on 6 December 2008, when Fleftic explorers landed on what was then a previously undiscovered continent. These explorers landed on a large peninsula that they named Fhulghamous because of its rich and lush green forests. One of the explorers then fell into an old mine shaft while exploring the peninsula and discovered that the entire peninsula was lying on top of one of the biggest diamond deposits ever discovered by mankind. Once the explorers announced their discovery to the Fleftic government, the Democratic Republic Army Corps of Engineers was quickly dispatched to help speed up the establishment of the colony by helping in constructing settlements and assisting in constructing mining facilities to extract the diamonds within the land.

The Colony of the Fhulghamous Peninsula was officially established as a colony of the Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft on 6 September 2010 following the signing of Democratic Republic Act No. 2340. The colony's capital would be Port Thimpodopoulos, named after Sergeant Major Pythagoras Thimpodopoulos of the Army Corps of Engineers, who tragically died of a heart attack during the construction of the settlement that would eventually bear his name. Today, Port Thimpodopoulos has a population of ten million, accounting for just under half of the total population of the colony. Other cities in the colony were Besanza, Tadoki, Haritzaga City and Thereisnogodabad, home of Multiverse Premier League club Thereisnogodistan FC.

The colony is under the leadership of Governor-General Petrarchos Kulbano, brother of Minister of Colonial Affairs Demetrios Kulbano. His rule saw the Fhulghamous Peninsula's ascent to being one of the most economically-productive colonies of the Democratic Republic, but due to the colony's distance from the mainland Governor Kulbano is slowly beginning to treat the colony as his own personal fiefdom. This was one of the reasons why he had decided to send forth a petition to send a national team to the Di Bradini Cup, the Multiverse's top under-21 football competition. Unfortunately due to some last-minute troubles, the Fhulghamous Peninsula's team was not allowed entry into the Di Bradini Cup, leaving many people in the colony a bit unfulfilled. But when another chance to send forth a national team revealed itself, Governor Kulbano was quick to submit his team's entry, and this time he made sure that the wouldn't miss out on another chance at participating in an international competition.

The current team is mostly composed of players 21 years old or younger since Governor Kulbano originally envisioned this team participating in the Di Bradini Cup. Any players older than 21 were supposed to be coaching staff for the attempt at the U-21 Cup, but circumstances had forced to suiting up for their colony for this tournament. Nevertheless, everyone believes they've got what it takes to win it all. Also, following the relative success of the team in the Runner Cup and the Campionato Esportiva, a local league system has now been established in the colony, even as their two most successful teams (Marinos Thimpodopoulos and Thereisnogodistan FC) are now part of the Fleftic league system.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of Nation: The Colony of the Fhulghamous Peninsula
Demonym: Fhulghamousian, Colonist
Team colors: Green and gray
Style modifier: +4.00 (Yet another very attacking side)
Manager: Orestes Katsouranis Jr. (56 y/o, Fhulghamous Peninsula)
Assistant manager: Paulus Wolf (54 y/o, Pridnestrovia)
Trainer: Wendell Beckett (72 y/o, Abanhfleft)

STARTERS
GK: CAPOEIRISTA
35 y/o, Airbus Fhulghamous Besanza Image, vice-captain
Bradini Vazconcelos Redentor, as Capoeirista is called in real life, is one of the better keepers playing both for and in the Fhulghamous Peninsula. Named after the well-known international football star Simone Di Bradini, Capoeirista seemed destined to play as a forward, but alas, he found himself more comfortable playing between the goalposts, and that was how he ended up playing as a goalkeeper. When he's not playing football, he teaches people in the martial art of capoeira, which is how he gained his current nickname. His capoeira skills have also proved intangible once he combined it with his goalkeeping training to become one of the best keepers in the colony, producing spectacular saves that are almost akin to martial arts moves. There's no question that he's a good keeper, but the team's performance in the recent Campionato Esportiva doesn't really reflect that, but it could be said that it's more the fault of the defense than Capoierista's personally. Can they improve in time for the World Cup qualifiers?

RB: Pau PALOMER 26 y/o, Thereisnogodistan FC Image (playing in the Fleftic Premier League)
Once again, nothing much distinguishes Pau from the rest of the center backs in the Fleftic sphere of influence. About the only noteworthy thing about him is that he shows excellent defensive skills for his age and has now become a starter for Thereisnogodistan FC. Why exactly he's still not starting is a bit of a mystery, but with John Montemayor looking more and more likely to announce his retirement from both club and international football anytime soon, Pau might soon just get the chance to represent the Fhulghamous for real this time.
UPDATE: John Montemayor has finally announced his retirement from international football, and Pau Palomer has been named the new starting right back of the Fhulghamous national team.

RCB: Naftali SINGERSTEIN 28 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Image (Abanhfleft)
A promising young center back whom Sporting Ceneisis immediately snapped up as soon as the Colonists' campaign in the Campionato Esportiva was over, but then immediately sent him on loan to Oontaz Dert Li Ng's Botafogo de Maranao. Singerstein is the kind of center back to sit back and be the last man between the keeper and any marauding attackers, although a lot of times he has to be reminded that there is such a thing as the offside rule. If he does play someone offside, most often it will be by accident. Now back at Ceneisis.

LCB: John HAINAUT 25 y/o, Miroz Old Boys Image (Abanhfleft)
The other half of Fhulghamous's central defensive pairing. Hainaut has since picked up a contract for Miroz Old Boys in the second tier of Fleftic football. He's the kind of defender that moves up with the attack and takes the occasional long shot from outside the box from time to time, but he does well to go back to the defense when the opponent marauds up the field. Still, he's caught out of position more times than not, but he's young, and there's still time to learn how to be a proper center back.

LB: Tatsuo KAMAKURA 27 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Image (playing in the Fleftic Premier League)
Maybe an older, more experienced left back could've been selected to play for the national side. Unfortunately, a left back from the Fhulghamous Peninsula better than Kamakura hasn't been discovered yet, so the team will have to settle for him for the moment. But surely there must be some quality in him though as he's been signed by Marinos Thimpodopoulos, the surprise package of the recently concluded Fleftic Premier League season. An older and more experienced left back with championship-winning experience has now been found in Riuwiee United's Sokratis Tzorvas, but because Tatsuo has since proven himself capable for the Fhulghamous, Tzorvas will sit on the bench unless something bad happens to Tatsuo.

RM: Elliot EDISON 32 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Image (Abanhfleft)
Elliot is all about speed and pace. In the training grounds, he's almost as fast as the fastest man on earth, and no teammate has ever managed to beat his time in sprints. But in scoring goals, where it matters most, Elliot has been a little bit lacking. Sure, he makes good runs into pockets of space, but when it's time to apply the finishing touch, he just can't seem to find the back of the net more times than he does. The fact that people consider Elliot scoring 10 goals for Arsenal de Releinthi in a given season a milestone is an indicator of his lack of shooting prowess, which has led to confusion on whether he's more suited to be a playmaking midfielder rather than a goalscoring winger. He used to play for Abanhfleft in friendly games and a few qualifying matches but has since managed to shift his allegiance to the Fhulghamous Peninsula due to the fact that his grandfather Uriah Edison is now a colonial councilor alongside the likes of Rashidunnin Ali.

RCM: Kieran MOSKOWITZ 26 y/o, Polaris Image (Ceni)
Box-to-box midfielder who got a contract with Pridnestrovia's Palatine Opals due to his impressive work in the Runner Cup and the Campionato Esportiva. Looks to repeat his earlier heroics for the country in this Global Cup of Soccer. Finally earned a well-deserved move abroad to Polaris in Ceni.

LCM: Lucian VON FRANKREICH 29 y/o, Union Rheinburg Image (Pridnestrovia)
The other Fhulghamousian central midfielder was signed by another Pridnestrovian club, namely Union Rheinburg. Frankreich is a holding midfielder who can get the ball out of sticky situations and feed passes to the attack, although he is susceptible to being crowded out with the right pressure.

LM: Aidan POWER Jr. 29 y/o, Zoloroni Metropolitan FC Image (Mercedini)
The only mystery around Aidan Junior, son of local Nepharim legend Aidan Power Sr., is why such a good right midfielder such as himself has been passed over by almost every club that could possibly sign him. He's good enough to play for a Premier League side, but not even Godric Wexler and Arsenal de Releinthi had taken a chance on him. There must be an element to his game that has turned off teams to him. Is there hope for him to get a club this time around? Apparently there is, as Mercedini's Zoloroni Metropolitan has decided to take him onboard. He also used to play in right midfield but with Elliot Edison now cleared to play for the Fhulghamous, Aidan Junior will be moved to the left where he has shown flashes of even more blinding brilliance.

CF: SEBASTIANO Pelucci 31 y/o, Riuwiee United Image (Abanhfleft), captain
The other player who plays in the Fleftic Premier League, Sebastiano is a recognized striker playing for Riuwiee United, one of the top teams in the Fleftic top tier. He's got his fair share of goals for both club and country, and he'll be looking to add to his tally in the Campionato Esportiva.
IMPORTANT: This player should be referred as Sebastiano to differentiate him from his brother Salvatore Pelucci.

CF: Max FETFATZIDIS 30 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Image (Abanhfleft)
No one had been paying attention to Max before he helped get Marinos Thimpodopoulos promoted to the Fleftic Premier League, and his amazing 32 goals that season was enough to earn him a N$40m transfer to Rosenpfelblatz City. Max would've taken over Sebastiano Pelucci's spot, but Mephistopheles injured himself playing baseball with the Trendstart Conquistadors, so Max is starting for the Fhulghamous now.

RESERVES
GK: Timothy MERLINSON 23 y/o, Acoflosa United Image (Mercedini)
Timothy is an average goalkeeper in an average team, literally. There's nothing that sets him apart from other goalkeepers both in Abanhfleft and the Fhulghamous Peninsula, and while he may have once been part of Marinos Thimpodopoulos' academy and stood a good chance of making it into the first team, he decided to take his chances somewhere and requested that he be cut from the team. This resulted in him becoming a bit of a wanderer, flitting in and out of teams throughout the Fleftic sphere of influence, and this is also most probably what cost him the chance to take the starting spot in the Peninsular national team when Rashidunnin Ali decided to hang up his boots once again. But Timothy has appeared to have finally settled down with Mercedini's Acoflosa United, where he hopes to make an impacteven if it's just off the bench.

GK: Wanakamahaga DUDABULATULA 23 y/o, Charalambos FC Image
Dudabulatula (that's his given name, by the way) is the crown prince of the Ebolatuli, the largest local tribe living in the Fhulghamous before the arrival of the Fleftic colonists. The integration of the local tribes into the colony is a story that has a lot of twists and turns in it, but it's safe to say that the Ebolatuli are one of the tribes that have managed to survive the transition into the 21st century with their sanity and cultural identity relatively intact. They also took really well to association football, and Dudabulatula is just one of many young people from the tribe who are looking to get opportunities to see the rest of the multiverse through the medium of sport. Expect to see little of him, though, unless something bad happens to either Tim Merlinson or Capoeirista.
IMPORTANT: This player should be always referred to as Dudabulatula since Wanakamahaga is a clan name (used to refer to the clan as a whole and not just to a single member).

DEF: Einar CARLSON 32 y/o, West Releinthi City Image (Abanhfleft)
There's nothing much to distinguish Einar from all the other right backs in the Fleftic sphere of influence, but when it comes to getting the job done, he gets the job done come what may. Einar also used to play for Athletic Haritzaga (not to be confused with Real Haritzaga, another Peninsular team playing int the Fleftic pyramid) before making the move to West Releinthi, and his three years of residency in the colony made Einar eligible to play for the Fhulghamousian national team when it was first established by Governor-General Petrarchos Kulbano.

DEF: Kay STEENSEN 26 y/o, Inter Norgrad Image (Endelos)
Kay showed up for a trial session for the Fhulghamousian national team one day just wanting to watch who would get to represent the colony to the rest of the multiverse when a football rolled towards him and he decided to play around with it and do a few dribbles, rabonas, and other such stunts. This attracted the attention of Governor-General Petrarchos Kulbano, who was busy assembling the team, and a Rosenpfelblatz City scout by the name of Matthew Cave, and Kay found himself in both teams that same afternoon. Unfortunately for Kay, skills could only take him so far on the pitch for Rosenpfelblatz, arguably one of the top teams in Abanhfleft, and he found himself going to Underfell in Anglatia alongside Abanhfleft under-21 starlet Jeanine Stober in exchange for making permanent the then-two-year loan of Under-15 World Cup bronze medalist Blaze Chrzanowska. But following anti-Fleftic sentiments in Valeria at the end of the Nordskanian War (due to Abanhfleft's non-interference with the Pridnestrovian invasion of Nordskania despite the Treaty of Politovskaya which is basically now just a fancy piece of paper), Kay is on the move once again, this time to Inter Norgrad in Endelos.

DEF: Sokratis TZORVAS 34 y/o, Riuwiee United Image (Abanhfleft)
Since the Fhulghamous Peninsula national football team was formed with the express intention of competing in the Di Bradini Cup (aka the Under-21 World Cup), Sokratis wasn't really in Governor-General Petrarchos Kulbano's radar when it came to recruiting players from the available pool. But when the Fhulghamous' bid for inclusion in the Di Bradini Cup met with failure, Governor Kulbano looked to local players from which to recruit players for the national team. Besides, Tzorvas had little if any links to the Fhulghamous except for the straw-grasping fact that people of Greek descent were representing the Fhulghamous. But now that Tzorvas' second cousin twice removed has become a colonial councilor alongside Rashidunnin Ali and Uriah Edison, Sokratis has been cleared to play for the Fhulghamous.

DEF: Aziz ZAMAN 28 y/o, Sarvusdalamoive Image (Abanhfleft)
Aziz used to be one of the hottest young defenders in Abanhfleft, and by hot I mean that he had world class potential in all those football video games people love to use to predict who will become rising stars and who will be destined to become flops. Unfortunately it appears as if Aziz is headed for the "flop" route as his time in Sarvusdalamoive has been limited even as other Fleftic Premier League clubs keep raiding the Pinks for their top talents now that they've put an end to their reputation as a yo-yo club. Still, because of a lack of defenders willing to represent the Fhulghamous (Evangelos Christodoulopoulos being a prime example), Aziz keeps his place in the side for now.

MID: Samson LOVEJOY 32 y/o, Keephall Vikings Image (Abanhfleft)
In the few appearances for the Fhulghamous that he made from the bench, Samson showed that he was a capable defensive midfielder with a capability to send in shots from beyond the box and it was for this reason that Keephall picked him up to bolster their team in their campaign to return to the Fleftic Premier League (a job which they still haven't achieved after almost ten years of playing in the Unang Liga, the second tier of Fleftic football).

MID: Ferdinand TAVISTOCK 30 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Image (Abanhfleft)

MID: Brendan MEEKS 29 y/o, AC Sainati Image (The Askari Union)

FW: SALVATORE Pelucci 30 y/o, AFC Langtree Image (Mercedini)
Salvatore, Sebastiano Pelucci's twin brother, can play both as a central forward and as a winger, but he is truly most effective playing up front. He and Sebastiano used to be teammates in Riuwiee United before Salvatore was unexpectedly cut from the team by Georges Leblanc back when the Frenchman was still managing the Blue Tribesmen. Salvatore kept his footballing skills sharp by suiting up for amateur Fhulghamousian sides until Mercedini's AFC Langtree finally offered him a permanent contract to play for them. It looks like he likes being in Mercedini at the moment.
IMPORTANT: This player should be referred as Salvatore to differentiate him from his brother Sebastiano Pelucci.

HOME STADIUM (ARENA MARINOS, PORT THIMPODOPOULOS)
Image
Arena Marinos is the home ground of both FC Marinos Thimpodopoulos, which plays in Abanhfleft's Premier League (first level of the Fleftic football league system) and the Fhulghamous Peninsula national football team. It has a total capacity of 35,673 spectators. Now back in service after a magnitude 6.2 earthquake caused part of the stadium's roof to collapse and devastated the capital city of the colony, necessitating a lot of repairs.

RICHARD DAWKINS PARK, THEREISNOGODABAD
Image
Richard Dawkins Park has a capacity of 23,171 spectators. Following a magnitude 6.2 earthquake that devastated Port Thimpodopoulos, all Fhulghamous Peninsula home matches were held in RDP in Thereisnogodabad while repairs were being made on Arena Marinos. With Arena Marinos now fixed, both the Fhulghamous Peninsula Football Association and Thereisnogodistan FC have reached an agreement in which RDP will serve as an alternate venue for national team games in recognition for the time that Richard Dawkins Park served as the home stadium of the national team following the earthquake.

THE CHIEFDOM OF COPPER CUPRUM
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM

This is the nth time that Copper Cuprum will be participating in the Campionato Esportiva. Copper Cuprum had been long isolated from the international community since it is a small island archipelago located deep in the middle of the Lazarus Ocean, far from any regular shipping lanes since man first sailed ships. The nation was only discovered by the Fleftic Navy in 1914, when they were searching for the daughter of President Rufus Wole Mensah, whose ship was wrecked in the general vicinity of the islands. Arriving in the capital of the islands, they discovered that Chief Zed had made the President's daughter his queen, generating a sudden alliance between the two countries. And Copper Cuprum was also rich in copper, so that was a good thing for Abanhfleft too...

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation:
The Chiefdom of Copper Cuprum
Demonym: Copperite
Kits: The Copper Cuprum national football team does not wear any kits as ordinary people know them. Instead they play wearing only white loincloths, studded shoes, shin guards. The keeper also has gloves along with the aforementioned kit.
Team colors: Black and white
Style modifier: +1.00 (A balanced team with a slight focus on offense)
Formation: 4-5-1
Head coach: Jefferson Kalangitan (54 y/o, Oontaz)
Notes: It is Copperite tradition to slit the throat of a live chicken before a game and then spread the spilled blood on the field. However, after the Valladar authorities advised the Copperite Football Federation against performing this tradition after local audiences were shocked by this tradition, it has been decided that in place of this tradition, Copperite players will now cut off the head of a rubber chicken before a game and then toss the head around like a hot potato. However, Copperite players will now perform the chicken sacrificing ritual whether or not the other team likes it. The Copperites hope to turn this tradition into their version of the haka. Also, this is Kalangitan's first head managing job after the Malabon SC assistant manager accepted to take over the Copperite side following the sacking of Duke Dorogi Dorogo due to the team's poor results in the Campionato Esportiva.

STARTERS
GK: Enera TEMOYO
36 y/o, Athletic Wa Gon Image
Quite short for a keeper, but he does the job well enough to be the starting keeper for Athletic Wa Gon, the marquee team of the Copper Cuprum National League. But this doesn't mean much as the National League is considered as the least competitive of the leagues in the countries within Abanhfleft's sphere of influence.

RB: Tumoka BATUBA 32 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz North End Image (Abanhfleft)
Solid right back, but still quite raw for his age. Sometimes advances a little too far into the offense to the other backs' liking. Thinks of himself as a wingback, but simply doesn't have the speed or the feet to get quickly between offense and defense and can't make a cross to save his life. Still gets lucky sometimes, though.

RCB: Ziketsy TUKUKU 23 y/o, Copper Cuprum Halal Commission Image

LCB: Derek CHIDAGI 33 y/o, Miroz Old Boys Image (Abanhfleft)
An immigrant to Abanhfleft that decided to play for his motherland after all. He's probably the only really good defender in this lot, and therefore bears the brunt of the defensive work for the team. He still has his problems, though, meaning that he will think nothing of tripping up any opposing players that are goalbound. Will probably concede a lot of penalties.

LB: Esteke INANUK 37 y/o, Handon United Image (Schottia)
Not really the best defender in Copper Cuprum, but certainly not the worst one either. Truth be told, though, he only looks good because many of his other teammates are shit. Placed in a world-class back line, he'd be the first player that disappears from notice. But when Inanuk performs well, he performs well and in a sublime manner. Earned a well-deserved move to Handon United in Schottia where he has been quietly doing his job as always.

RM: Boyote TOROTO 34 y/o, Sporting Busov Image (Abanhfleft)
Holds the midfield good enough, but still makes mistakes from time to time. Attacks from time to time but really hinders more than helps.

CM: Tabaré ZUÑIGA 37 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Image (Abanhfleft)
Now that Prince Deg's favoritism for members of his personal retinue his injury woes have finally been cleared up, Tabaré is finally getting that well-deserved spot in the starting eleven, but it may have come too late for Copper Cuprum though, as Tabaré's already 34 at this point in time and he's not going to get any younger. He used to be more of a box-to-box midfielder but age has caught up with Tabaré and the team now relies on him being the rock in the midfield between the Copperite defense and the opposition's attack.

LM: Morefor TOFODO 36 y/o, General Santos F.C. Image (Oontaz)
Doesn't show up in big games, yet doesn't show up in minor games also. Surprising why he got included in the starting eleven at all. The fact that he's part of Prince Deg's retinue may have something to do with it, though. But now we know why Tofodo starts for Copper Cuprum: it's because of his wicked good set pieces. Free kicks, corner kicks, penalty kicks (when Prince Deg is unavailable, of course); you name it, Morefor Tofodo can actually take it.

RW: Opatop LAZAROVSKI 33 y/o, Sheriff Tiraspol Image (Pridnestrovia)
Half Pridnestrovian and half Copperite, he almost played for his father's country before Prince Deg conferred upon him a peerage that convinced him to play for Copper Cuprum. He is a half-decent winger that nevertheless will not be able to get into the starting eleven of any other nation in the world.

CF: Chief DEG 35 y/o, unattached, captain
The Chief of Copper Cuprum himself. Chief Deg is also the head of the Copperite Football Federation, a position that he created by royal decree after creating the federation, also by royal decree. He bills himself as "the best center forward in the multiverse," but so far he hasn't done anything to back up that claim. At the moment, even Abanhfleft's Kareem Dagen plays better than Chief Deg.

LW: Tyrone ZUDAZET 36 y/o, Gyouza Young Lads Image (Abanhfleft)
Another member of Prince Deg's retinue that nevertheless deserves his place in the starting eleven. A landed noble with a barony under his fief, Zudazet is half-Fleftic and plays for a club in the Democratic Republic while at the same time flying the Copperite flag proudly.

SUBSTITUTES
GK: Nikoba LOBATO
22 y/o, Athletic Wa Gon Image

GK: Torege BITAMBO 31 y/o, Sporting Busov Image (Abanhfleft)
Backup keeper, currently serving as Temoyo's understudy. Could become next national keeper if something very bad happens to Temoyo. Luck (and time) don't appear to be on his side though as he has been displaced from backup keeper to reserve goalkeeper by Temoyo's actual understudy from Athletic Wa Gon, Nikoba Lobato.

DEF: Tenoka ITORO 34 y/o, Gryphons Nubalochi Image (Oontaz)
Described by Prince Deg himself as "The Big Man." Competes with Desoka for the honor of being like Adebayo "The Beast" Akinfenwa. Pushes opponents left and right for a bit of morning exercise. And don't get me started on calisthenics.

DEF: Lazar DENISOV 22 y/o, Admiral Tuzla Image (Pridnestrovia)

DEF: Idaran SOBODO 36 y/o, Pamunas F.C. Image (Abanhfleft)
Some of the players in the reserves are only there because there is a need by the World Cup Committee to have enough substitutes in every position. Sobodo is filling in for one of those emergency positions. But looking beyond Prince Deg's obvious favoritism tough task of organizing a capable Copperite team, Sobodo does have his uses, mainly attracting yellow cards and red cards from the referee. But when he doesn't find his name in the book, Sobodo does a good enough job of pumping crosses into the box and tripping up the opposition players trying to do the same in the Copperite box.

CM: Amitu SUDEBA 31 y/o, Ken Gon United Image

MID: Sitere BUWATA 32 y/o, Duhblakk Rovers Image (Abanhfleft)
This kid has a future in midfield, what with his flashy playmaking style. He's only in defense because he's been put there by the Fleftics at Duhblakk. Turns out that was only a move to improve the defensive side of his game, and with six years gone, surely Buwata has finally hit his peak?

MID: Umaga HAROBA 30 y/o, Athletic Wa Gon Image

MID: Paul MAGINOO 21 y/o, General Santos F.C. Image (Oontaz)

FW: Aramok TODEYET 32 y/o, Union Rheinburg Image (Pridnestrovia)
We need backup forwards, even though none of them can possibly replace Prince Deg in the starting eleven, unless of course the Prince gets injured.

FW: Douglas JAMESON 22 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Image (Abanhfleft)

FW: Wesley WEYLER 22 y/o, FC Afa-az Image (Abanhfleft)

Soute National Team

After a full cycle of competition, Soute has lost its newcomer glow. A long-winded run of the 22nd Campionato Esportiva, the 68th Baptism of Fire, and finally the 81st World Cup Qualifying has placed the sophomore nation in the peripheral vision of footballing nations. Adding to this, participation in the UICA Champion's Cup and Globe Cup, the regional Campionato Esportivano di Campeones, and extensive player transactions during the 23rd Transfer Window, the Soute League has fulfilled its promise of international integration, both foreign and domestic. However, this tumultuous cycle, with its ups and downs for the national team and the breakneck flurry of the transfer window, has given both a blessing and a curse. None can deny that Soute has gained valuable experience from dipping its toes into football competitions. A bright-eyed national team received a tasteful dose of reality on the pitch and learned how to stomach heavy losses. Thankfully, they also learned how to score goals and pull through with victories. Comparing to their debut first match against Brenecia in the Campioanto Esportiva to their closing match of World Cup Qualifying, even the most disagreeable Soutean would have to agree that the national team has markedly improved.

As mentioned before, there is still a portion of negativity that must be assigned after the completion of one's first cycle. Soute is no-longer the new kid on the block, learning the ways and habits of the neighborhood. Now comes the long struggle of being just another nation in a crowded world, angling for a measure of success. As a new car loses its grandeur after its owner has grown used to it, so has Soute lost its exotic appeal of undiscovered mystery. Just as an adolescent must mature and leave behind the cute mistakes of childhood, the Soute National Team faces the sober reality that mistakes and losses can no longer be written off as freshman inadequacies. With a long campaign under their belt, the Souteans must take full responsibility, both for the victories and for their defeats.

Fortunately for the National Team, the squad has no changes from the tight-nit unit they had after a true baptism of fire in last years long cycle. The Soute League has yet to complete its second season, so the League has decided to maintain last year's roster, including the manager. The squad is now a little older, so hopefully the creaky knees will be offset by extensive experience in international competition. Last cycle Soute endured many spectacular losses in the Campionato Esportiva. It is the hope of every Soutean that this same squad will not repeat the errors of yesteryear, but charge forward into unforeseen success.

"Well, this is odd."

Hata Echizen stood in front of the bars as two Velestrian players seemed to inquire each other over what was that freak in front of the Hinodejin net. The game hadn't even started yet, but all eyes were (and had all the rights to be) at the three meters tall goalkeeper that the Hinodejin had employed. Eleanor Lindgard did admit that her forced team wasn't exactly something she expected to lead to the World Cup, but with players like Hata Echizen, they surely would have an edge or two. Mokutoko and Space Knuckles apparently shared a few words as they waited for the game to start, which meant that a block of wood talked with a space porcupine in a football field. Augusta Clark moved forward with the ball and chose to start their attack with a lob pass, looking for a hole between Tsutsuba and Niijma. That idea lasted for a second or two until Tsutsuba literally flew into the skies to boot the ball down.

The ball landed directly at Niijima's face, rolling to the side to find Mitsuhide. While Nagase darted to the opponents' side of the pitch with the ball, Eleanor decided to just not bother with Niijima and watch one of the few good players her team had.
The eyes of a killer aside, Nagase Mitsuhide chose to display everything she knew at their opponents' field, dancing through the middle with the ball, swerving defenders left and right. Still, she couldn't hold the ball forever and soon Reven found himself with the ball, thus starting a proper counter-attack. Said counter-attack soon found Hata Echizen. He clicked his neck, the pale eyes behind what some would imagine being a mask (it was his actual face) staring daggers at Goddard, who now led the counter-attack, as he made short work of Space Knuckles. There was at least one place where he could kick to score, the bottom left, the one point where Echizen's large arms couldn't reach. Or that's what he thought.

In all truth, there's no place in the goal where Hata Echizen can't reach. Goddard rose an eyebrow as he saw that Echizen now had the ball on his hands, repositioning his arms back in their own place. He turned, spinning to get speed and then threw the ball upwards, his face always looking forward regardless. The tale of the tape ended up being that the freakish goalkeeper had been pretty much unbreakable, keeping their net safe at all costs. Angol Plus' killer shot did put them through to win this unique national team's first victory, but Hata Echizen was the player of the match. And also one of those things you just don't want to see at your nightmares.

At the beach / In my dreams / But you still
