I know you signed up to be a main, but the OP clearly said not all teams would be accepted. In the end, you were placed at backup ahead of arguably one of last season's top RPers. That means he spent months writing and even gave his team a Constructor's. Other teams may not have had the same experience as him, but they came up with the car image. You should keep that post up for credit because it's well written. If you'd RP like that a couple times a week, I'd sign you and I'm sure others would. Maybe you'll get your chance still. But I wouldn't go the route of demanding a team. Remember, the host is about to go through a big effort for us. Let's not give him a hard time.

You could always make a post speaking of how the ministry's team was postponed. Maybe somehow they'll work with another team? All is not lost.

Your post was well written though.

My best option is to have the Ministry's team seek out requests for other drivers to join them, or I can have Jason Masami be recruited by another team. Even though my post was well-written, I want to try to avoid mistakes. In your opinion, what's the best option I can do?

IMO, if you've written an RP where your team was selected, I'd scrap that and start all over. As Vangaziland and the OP said, not all teams were gonna be selected from the start; while nothing personal, I think it's a little unfair of you to be offended for not getting your way, despite the fact it was a possibility.

In Savojarna's case, his exclusion is a bit of a surprise, as he's RPed (and very well) before, but jumping into WGP2 with a team on your first go is risky and unlikely to work. I'm sorry, I guess, but at least this gives you a unique point from which to start your driver's RP, and build up experience to submit a team next time, perhaps.

Based on your post, I should imagine a team would be glad to recruit him. Especially if you're ready to write through the whole season.

Hi everyone. Savojarna's exclusion is a surprise and is in fact because I was an idiot and didn't transfer their team from my shortlist to the OP of the RP thread. Savojarna's team is included and will be added to the tidied up version of the OP coming soon to a thread near you.

As for Main Nation Ministry, if I could accept your team I would, but the quality of signups has been very high and there is only room for a limited number of teams (13). I do feel bad about it, but as a first-time WGPC RPer I have less evidence that you will RP well compared to other users (WET and Toganistan have indeed RPd motorsports events before). Whilst this does not mean you are a worse RPer than any of the selected participants, evidence is all I have to go off.

What you can do is RP well this season to create that evidence and if you do, I'm sure you will have no problems in getting a spot for future seasons of WGP2 or even WGPC.

Verstappen's DNF from 5th feels like a dramatic foreshadowing for the WGP2 season.

Just one question, this is my first time here so i wonder how do drivers get signed up? Do team owners have to telegram me or vice-versa?

It's a two-way road. You can offer your driver to be contracted, and the teams can TG you if they like your driver, if he match their criteria. For example: As I stated on my first post, Superia Juniors search mainly for a sponsored driver (someone who can bring some sponsors for the team, and use them in the Roleplay, a "pay-driver") with good driving skills (OOC: RP Quality) and a solid background (Good info of his/her career before then).

As you may have heard, half of California is on fire and that means that yesterday, we had the mother of all power outages.
It made me realise how reliant we are on electricity in the western world and meant I couldn't get on here to tidy up the OP and write some stuff. However that does seem like a bit of a first-world problem seeing as homes and animals are currently being burnt to a crisp, generally because of our own stupidity.
Anyway, rant over, I'm back and the OP has been tidied up and confirmed drivers added. It's been great to see everyone get going with their RPs and I'll hopefully be joining you soon.

I'm trying to get a post up in the next few days about SVJ, but if you want to get into contact for negotiations before the 7th, try TGing me ideally as I am on a holiday until then. We do have wifi in our house, but I'm obviously less invested in NS at the moment.

Lots of people, I'm sure! Plenty of individuals like to be part of something up-and-coming rather than joining an established force. To be fair, though, Rebecca's currently on a three-year contract with Nexus and, as we alluded to IC, Aboveland and I have been discussing Janne's presence for a few months now; don't feel too bad about it!

So, I tried all moral and even immoral ways of contracting a second driver. I really do not want to quit from WGP2, and I do not have a second driver. May Superia Juniors race with only one driver?

If worst comes to worst, we'd definitely let you race with one driver. We (by which I mean MRT2) actually have the same issue.

A reminder that nations are permitted to sign up 2 drivers. Whilst this creates more stuff to RP, it may solve our unusual problem that there are many good-quality teams and comparatively fewer good-quality drivers if nations that have only signed up one driver add another.

Yikes. According to Word Counter, I've written just under 11,500 words. It would take over 41 minutes to read it all and over an hour to say it out loud. My goal isn't just to pile on words, but to tell the most complete story I can. Let the content speak for the value, rather than how often or how long my posts are. I try to add humor and emotions, for example. So I don't expect the word count to equate to success. There has been a lot of great writing so far!

I hope to stick with it. I'm also just really excited about the racing season. Good luck to everybody out there!

Fanene has said that his dream would be to drive in WGPC one day.

Er, I had this problem last season as well - barely enough drivers to fill all the team slots.

Also, I'm finally back from my weekend away, I should be able to get my team recruiting tomorrow morning.

We're having some teething problems with the scorinator over here. I've telegrammed Audio for some help, but it wasn't happening when I tested it earlier, which is annoying.

If you're waiting for scores and planning on sleeping soon. Go to sleep.

Apologies for this, looks like the test is for more than just you guys.

Thanks for the understanding. The good news is it’s happened in the test and not halfway through the championship, so there’s still time to sort it. It’s a new scorinator, so things like this are probably inevitable.

Due to some teams still being a little short-staffed and the scorinator throwing another wobbly, I've decided to postpone practice and qualifying for the opening race weekend until tomorrow at the earliest. Cutoff will be at 9:00 BST (8:00 UTC).

Again thanks for the patience. After this it'll be fine, I promise.
