This is correct. World Cup signups are still open but BoF signups are closed as the tournament is currently in progress.

There are currently 202 signups, 12 of which are CTEd (2 of them DEATed). While the World Cup is now technically full, the first 2 waitlist signups are guaranteed to be in the field (barring a successful appeal of 2 DEATs) and at least the next 10 would probably get in as well.

Yes. Already signed up nations returning from CTE will have precedence over nations that signed up later than them.

I think this is going to fall at a rather poor time for me with travel-type commitments, so Zwangzug will be withdrawing. I hope to stay semi-active in sports (domestic league etc.) and, if all goes well, will be good back for 82.

With Quakmybush CTEing, there are once again 12 CTEs (2 of which are DEATs). We are aiming for a field of either 192 or 202 with zero CTEd nations in the field. As of right now, the 2 waitlist nations are virtually guaranteed a spot in the WC finals. Additional signups past this point will be included in the event of additional CTEs or in the event that we reach a field of 202 not-CTEd nations.

With the CTEs of Dimetrija, Ravsol and Stetzra, there are now 15 CTEs (2 of which are DEATs) out of a total of 202 signups and 3 waitlist signups. We are aiming for a field of either 192 or 202 with zero CTEd nations in the field. As of right now, the 3 waitlist nations are virtually guaranteed a spot in the WC finals and we are now 2 nations short of a field of 192.

As the other co-host, I'm going to tentatively announce that we're right around our magic number. I, of course, need to do another CTE check- so sign ups are not closed.

But as of Friday's CTE check, add in the 187 signed up(202 minus the 15 CTEs), add in the 3 waitlisters, and then throwing both Al-Mumtaz and East Belzaria on there, that's 192. Then, of course, the numbers puppets of both Ebola & Tinhampton.

Which would mean, of course, 194 nations who haven't CTE'd have signed up, with the last CTE check being 48 hours ago. I'll do another CTE check, and then, if we have either 192 or 202 signups who are not CTE'd, then I will come back and close signups, and then we'll get ready for the World Cup Draw.

With 192 nations signed up, registration for World Cup 81 is officially closed.

FFR or I will post the official list of nations participating in World Cup 81 Qualifying rather shortly, and the pots as well.

The draw will be held, live. It will be held on discord at 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, today. I apologize, of course, for the late notice- but scheduling a draw is rather tough, and we want a day and time where it's reasonable for people on both sides of the pond to get there- and that is the best time.
