Invester, Khantari - Zeniyadh were unbeaten in the group stage of the Malay World cup. They only able to earn one additional point in the last group stage match against Samudera Darussalam and finished 2nd below rival Wuriya with only one point difference. The zenidhian earn 11 points from three victories and two draws. The zenidhian football expert and ex national team player Polat Kanter argued that there's a problem with this team. He said that Zeniyadh always underestimate the weaker team, that's how they miss the other highly possible 4 additional points.
Zeniyadh head coach Canan Tosun decided to rest their senior player Mehdi Ishaq on the match against Samudera. The captain arm band passed to Omer Zayed. He also not included Benzespor striker Sultan Gungor in the lineup. In the pre-match press conference he said that his team already achieve their group stage target and should focus on the semifinal. The other player who absent in this match is Daif Tosun who suspended for three match after punch accident in the macth against Wuriya. Zeniyadh open the lead in the 23rd minutes via Reza Al-Radd left foot strike. But Rafiq Avci unable to stop imam Fachrizal penalty in the 64th minutes and led the score level again. Until the full time whistle the score still 1-1.
Zeniyadh able to defeat Eraman, Sandhora, and even the group winner Wuriya. But they were forced to share points with Tahkalen and Samudera Darussalam, which finish at the bottom of the table both with only two points. Tahkalen and Samudera isn't giant killer like Pauh Janggi and Tolol in group A, but Zeniyadh underestimate their strength and they got the consequence. For the information both Tahkalen and Wuriya only achieve two points, they successfully earn one point from zeniyadh. The another one point shared from their meeting in matchday two which ended with 2-2. This is a big lesson for Canan Tosun boys.
As they finished 2nd it means they will face the winner of group A in the semifinal. It was Khantari who finished as group A winner with same points achievement with Zeniyadh. It will be a revans match for Zeniyadh after their 1-2 lost to the same team in the first Malay World Cup semifinal. Zeniyadh were defeated by Khantari by 1-2 in their own home, It was first Malay World Cup Semifinal and Zeniyadh acted as group A winner while Khantari qualified as Group B runner-up. Not the situation is reversed. Khantari will challenge group B runner-up Zeniyadh in the semifinal as Group A winner in their own home.
