King Pond T2 Cricket Invitation (OPEN)

Postby King Pond » Wed Jun 06, 2018 9:44 am

This is the first ever T2 cricket tournament in NationStates. This is 2 over cricket. It's a fun and short game that will excite anyone. Games roughly last about 20 minutes. It will be a 6 team championship

Rules
- This is 2 over cricket. A total of 12 balls bowled to each team
- It follows all standard cricket rules except it's 2 overs and you are only restricted to ONLY 2 wickets.

Hope you join!

I'd be interested to know how this (Two2?) would work practically - it seems a little bit too compressed to offer much of the nuance the game of cricket is known for? I have a feeling it would end up being almost entirely random chance...

Key question, not (yet) answered…

(If you don't know what 'scorination' is, it's the generation of the results. Darmen is asking how the results will be produced. Dice? A random number generator? A spreadsheet? A programme written specifically for this?)

What do you mean? If you're running signups for an event, you should already know exactly how you're running it…

Given that a super over is one over and you get three wickets, two wickets for two overs seems like it won't be enough. Remember, the aim isn't to take all wickets in limited overs form.

Also, that means the entire team won't bat, whixh goes against the spirit of the game. Perhaps 6 or 7 wickets and that number be the same as the number of players on the team?
