Frankly, I don't think there's anyone in Mesder, aside from Covonant, who has the places, budget or initiative to host the 2018 IFAF Western Isles Cup. And I don't think MSFC nations will step forward for this (prove me wrong, me fellas...)

I like Neg's joint proposal with Samu idea. Sad that DS's bid was a test not a true one.

I am all for Corindia based on dope graphics as well

A few days late to what I said, but here is the GFA Qualifier. And now I have some questions to ask.

1) Considering Argus at this point is a lost cause with people taking their nations into other confederations, the IFAF has a bit of a problem getting to FIFA's 32 teams. Now as it stands there is a possibility to have all confederations get ten and then also find a way to add two more elsewhere, there's also a possibility of each confederation getting an uneven amount of berths to send to the cup based on the number of nations that reside in their confederation, this is the fairest option at the moment. Once that's dealt with, we can move on to set up the cup.

2) There are 15 active nations in the GFA, with the inactive Archvenland making 16. Unless Archvenland becomes active, I cannot use LeagueSim to construct the GFA Qualifier with all of the GFA's teams. Since I've learned a bit of xkornate, I can start advocating its use and using it, in this case, to perform the GFA Qualifier with all the nations in the area. The only issue I find in it now is whether or not it should be considered "legal" in the sense that it will be accepted at large by the community. Personally, as long as there is a way to reflect the skill scores used for LeagueSim into the skill points used in xkornate, there won't be a problem. Fortunately for me, I've already come up with one.

Xkornate has two places to put definitive numbers, skill and style. Skill is defined as the ability of the team to perform in general and can be scaled between any two numbers (for my purposes I've used the standard 1-10). The Style Point is defined as the team's orientation towards either attacking and defending on a scale from -5 (most defensive) to +5 (most offensive). What I propose is that the Skill point given is defined by the following equation: Skill Point = (Offensive Point + Defensive Point)/2. The Style Point will be determined by the much simpler equation: Style = Offensive Point - Defensive Point.

I'll use my National Team to give an example:

Offensive: 8
Defensive: 6

Skill = (8+6)/2 = 7
Style = 8-6 = 2

Therefore, on xkornate, when I add in the Dormill and Stiura National Team, I'll put skill at 7 and style at 2. Now I realize that due to the hard cap, this will produce teams with the same skill with only variations in style, but it will probably be for the better that xkornate is used as a supplement to LeagueSim if LeagueSim can't be used.

Hopefully 32 or more people show up to the qualifiers but that’s nearly 90% of TWI’s map population, and I’ve yet to see that many people in a single UCR that isn’t massive do that.

So I’m hoping this changes things, otherwise the tournament will go on with a smaller roster.

Yeah, unless there's a major reassignment of berths everyone in CEFA is just going to get in by default

It was also overly ambitious last year too. I think we got to 25-27 for the actual tourney. 32 for the big tourney seems kind of stretching it, but If we are aggressive with outreach, I think its doable. May be just my blind optimism though.

Yeah but that's the thing, if we want 32 in the final tourney, we have to have even more in the qualifiers and that I don't see happening.
