As long as your attributes and everything are as per the rules in the OP, you don't usually have to wait for someone to confirm your registration. Just get posting and trying to get a seat for this season.

Does community want y/n?

Yes please.

Also, is it alright if I discord DM some proposals for events in the JNI GP?

I'm aware that Audio used the loose term "community", and I am equally in favour of the idea, and I'm trying not to sound harsh or put this the wrong way. But in my (not counting for much) opinion, if you've only got a track and wouldn't be affected by points systems, maybe it doesn't impact you as much and it may not come across the right way for you to be seen to be affecting the scoring without being 'involved' with the points, so to speak.

As to your second point—I don't see why anything needs to be done via Discord DM, I'm sure we'd all be happy to hear your RP proposals for your Grand Prix so we can make our own plans for when that event comes around.

Absolutely this. Roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. I'll edit your driver into the list when I get the time.

If you have any more questions, pop them in this thread and someone will point you in the right direction.

I saw that. I didn't see any information any of your RPs confirming Novax, though, so I assumed there'd been some kind of miscommunication between you two. Both the team and the driver have to confirm the signing, otherwise anyone could claim to have signed for any team.

Sorry EFL but I didn't read this as 'Dalia Dahl will be my driver'. I read it as 'Dalia Dahl is helping to develop the car'. Is she going to be a driver at SinVal this season?

I saw the change in Taylor Blake's number from 27 to 18 but forgot to update the sheet. That's been sorted now. The change has been edited into the post.

Just as a PSA here for all

I just did a quick run-down of seats and by my count, including "open offers" that are just waiting confirmation, there are just 2 seats left for the upcoming season.

Where those seats end up could shift but with the offers currently on the table there are only 2 seats completely unaccounted for and no more than 5 with any further confirmation required.

Given this, I'm going to hold off starting the Eelandii VTGP Invitational Test session for at least 6 hours to allow anyone who hasn't yet declared any interest in being considered for this seat to do so either via RP or TG. Additionally, I'm going to ICly invite someone from Omni Racing to be present at the test just in case its needed to help fill that seat (if WET doesnt already have plans for it).

Also, the number of seats available could be expanded if McPahan is admitted as an additional team by the hosts.

JNI GP Proposals

  • Meet & Greet - Some of either Joushiki Nante Iranai [JNI]'s or the Universal Pact's* young hopefuls meet the WPGC racers, gaining advice for their future careers and an experience they will never forget.
  • Hot Lap - Potential extension to Meet & Greet, where the young hopefuls do a lap alongside a WPGC racer.
  • Non-WPGC Events - Possibly 1 per day, some non-WPGC events take place - maybe a motorcycle race/qualifying, maybe something else? A summary with final results is displayed.
  • Highlights With Commentary - After all the RP happens, commentary of the highlights is revealed.
  • Night/Sunset Race - Singapore-esque night race with a special display at the end?
  • Video trailer (more of an overall suggestion) - What it says on the tin.

*The Universal Pact is the region where JNI is located.

I may make more suggestions later if I think of any.

It's partly the proof, partly just a tradition. Both parties should be putting the confirmation in the RP thread. Even something like this is okay. I'll put Novax in at Camden when Lisander posts the RP.

In other news, due to the number of users being big enough. McPahan are certain to be taking two drivers this season. I'll post invites either around this time next week or when the final spots at other teams are confirmed.

One final question to ask of the community (JNI not necessarily excluded, though naturally the viewpoints of drivers and team owners will have more weight) is this: In Formula One there is a limit of 26 cars allowed to start a race. The addition of McPahan will take us to 28 for WGPC17.
Do we want all 28 drivers starting the race or should the amount of drivers progressing from qualification to the race be limited to 26 (IE with the slowest two drivers not making it)?

Well the FIA and the WGPO are not the same entity, why play by the same rules? Give us 28 cars.

Or if it's too much, exclude the bottom six and only let 22 make the grid. Either way, I don't really like the idea of only 2 drivers not making it.

28 cars is fine. It's fine to establish slight differences from the real world, since we've already have a few. A system of eliminations isn't something I'm for here. It will make things harder for new writers that already face the hurdles of the sport's active writers.

Adding my voice to the above. WGPC isn't F1 and we don't have to obey the same constraints as F1 does - I think that I'm more representative of that than most! Let there be many racers, for in its multiplicity shall the racing excite.

Going to have a post up hopefully within the next hours but, if not, within the next three or so days. Moreover, the Q&A is still open for questions!

I agree with having 28 cars. The barrier to entry is already high enough and it is only a small difference from RL.

I agree with 28 cars, though it'd be cool to see qualifying knockouts from the race - possibly bottom 20? That's just me though and my opinion's nowhere near as valid as the others' because I have neither a team nor a driver - I just have a circuit lol

I've heard a couple of competing views on the NS Sport Discord, but it looks like the majority are in favour of simply having all 28 cars enter the race. That's fine with me.
