As said before, the scorinator I will be using is xkoranate 0.3.3. I will be using additive style mods and the NSFS formula so unranked or low ranked teams actually have a chance. The tournament will be 16 teams, and 4 groups of 4. RP bonuses will be added to teams who roleplay consistently to again, make it easier for unranked or lower ranked nations to go far in the tournament. Cuttoff will be between 17:00-17:30 GMT (since I live in the UK).

Also, please state your KPB (if you have one) and the style your team plays. Make sure to post a roster, as I will be doing player (and staff) rewards. Other than that, RP and enjoy the ride!

2nd place finish in BoF 66. There's more to come! Hopefully..
Your young don from Southwest London and I bang out 410, AM Skengdo, 1011 and a host of UK drill artists. You probably thought I was Canadian 'cause of my nation's name and flag, but I am actually Ugandan and I live in London.
Hosted the inaugural STIC, and a domestic newswire up and running. They will be a few more soon...
And remember guys, Toronton is Singular, South Toronton is an Adjective, and Torontons is Plural! Also, the USST is an abbreviation of Unified Socialist States of South Toronto, and apart from marijuana and abortion being legal, and our environmental policies, in no way does this nation reflect my RL views.

The Unified Armed States of South Toronto National Information For Tourists:

South Toronto is by multi-universal standards, a very advanced country known for its economy. Our economy is so good, some would say it is frightening. The economy is mainly driven by the industries of Arms Manufacturing, Retail, and Tourism. Currently, the president of South Toronto is Trey Deyvon Woods, who saved South Toronto from political and civil rights turmoil during a civil war in which former dictator Tobi Obirito ignited. He and other high-ranked government officials will be in attendance for the final and will congratulate the winner. In South Toronto, students from as young as 6 and university students receive mandatory sex education, citizens of the same sex are allowed to marry, and as a caution to tourists, there are AI beings who must be recognised as legal citizens. Out of a population of 746 million people, we hope 23 of that number will potentially go on to do great things for our national team.

Image

Blood's End, capacity of 93,323. The final will be hosted here.

Thanks to a well-funded police force, crime is almost totally unknown to South Toronto. However, some crime still happens, particularly towards the western states. This year's final will be held in Trapsan, Hoodlum, which is a state notorious throughout South Toronto for being a crime hotspot state. In fact, just over 73.39% of crime in South Toronto is in this state, though tourists do not need to worry. A tremendous amount of police forces will be patrolling around Trapsan when the final comes to reduce any further crime. It is advised tourists bring any item that can be used for self-defence such as guns, (Only handguns, pistols, and hunting rifles are permitted, to ensure mass shootings are highly unlikely and kill the absolute minimum amount of people) army knives, pepper spray, and low voltage stun guns.

If you are not armed then call the national South Toronto police number of 422, police tend to patrol local neighbourhoods and most likely will be there in 3-8 minutes. Go inside a supermarket if available, however, if you are in the middle of nowhere, strip naked (yes, we know this may sound weird and inappropriate) but an old law made in the year of 1998 states that a fully nude person cannot be touched or harmed in any way due to Exzapa tradition. This then shows the attacker that you acknowledge Exzapan culture which would trick the attacker into thinking you are from South Toronto. When the criminal is gone, put on your clothes and report the incident. It is advised tourists take the cable car system, to stay away from the feared Broksenvale Neighbourhoods as the only way to get to Blood's End on foot is through those, which are rife with crime.

Stadiums:
Image

Victory Road, capacity of 87,484

The capital city of South Toronto, Aredia lies right on the west coast in the state of Roria. It rarely rains in Aredia as it is a desert. Due to this, people have had to adapt to the formidable climate, although it will be difficult for newcomers to adjust to the hostile conditions. The tenants of this ground are fierce, cross-city rivals Old Aredia and Aredia CIty. Mosques are extremely common, as 56% of people in Aredia are Muslim, so mosques generally have a 1-mile distance from each other. Transport across Aredia is easy thanks to a train system connecting all of Aredia. Away fans and players only need to take a train from Bimina Cross and get off 4 stops to Jonto Lake Station where the stadium will be right there. Alternatively, you could get the A118 bus to the Farein bus stop where it would take you around 3-7 minutes on foot. Hotels all across Aredia are often 5 stars, and restaurants are scattered around the city. Do not expect to find any pork, ham, or bacon in these restaurants as they have been banned in Aredia. Group A will play all their matches here.

Image

St. Raiana And Cyanol's Stadium, capacity of 93,299

St. Raiana And Cyanol's Stadium is located in the north-west of the country in the city of Lordano, Darlington. It is named after St. Raiana Bahani and St. Cyanol Civanes, who fought for South Toronto's freedom but were sadly killed in the civil war. Lordano was where they were born and raised, so out of respect club Lordano Reborn changed the name of their stadium to "St. Raiana And Cyanol's Stadium". Interestingly, both of their names combined is the currency of South Toronto, the raicyan. In the north of South Toronto, people tend to be richer than the rest of the country, so don't expect any 1 raicyan items in our stores. There are many activities to do up north, such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking and bike riding. It is recommended that tourists visiting here bring warm clothing, as temperatures in Lordano drop as low as -14 degrees Celsius. Players will be allowed to wear gloves, thermal wear and balaclavas( Balaclavas must be the main colour of the teams national kit). There are no trains or buses in Lordano, to lower the effects of global warming, rather more clever means of transportation such as 500-seater cable cars. The hotel national teams are urged to go to is Mansayon Hotel because a private cable car can be hired which goes directly to St. Raiana And Cyanol's Stadium. Group B will play their matches here.

Image

Cilimintaro-Killerich Memorial Ground, capacity of 88,373

At 88,373 capacity, Cilimintaro-Killerich Memorial Ground, formerly known as Anthian Bridge is the largest stadium in the island on Anthian. The tenants, Anthian Explorers, are based in the city of Anthian City. The stadium name change was voted for by many fans as it's in memory of players Antonio Cilimintaro and Anders KIllerich who were shot fatally returning home from their 2-0 loss to Abahnfleft in the World Cup 79 Qualifiers. Anthian is a levitating island, meaning travel is only achievable by plane. In Anthian City, there are many national parks where tourists can see the national animal of South Toronto, the Phoenix. Phoenixes cannot cause fires even though they are on fire (yes I know, very confusing) as the grass in these national parks are very damp. The island is roughly around 8940 square miles and the main mode of transportation is by surprisingly, hoverboards. They can contract to the size of a ruler and can be up to 2 meters long. They are also eco-friendly, reducing pollution, also exceeding speeds of up to 24mph. Group C and Group D will play here.

STIC With a Winning Side

National Squad Announced Today!

The streets of Vircon were once again packed as football fans from all over Loynn came to witness the departure of the national team as they head off to South Toronto to compete in their first international competition since the WC78 qualifiers in the hope they can bring back some much wanted glory. Ian Anderson joined the manager for a chat about this competition and the future, but first we've got the team news.

The Team News

Manager: Patrick Day - A lot has been said about Day's appointment as the National manager, after a great career managing top flight teams Rhyss City and Barnyt FC he looked like the right man for the job, and after making it to the quarter finals in the BoF most people agreed that there wasn't anyone else for the role. Some questions were asked after our shaky campaign in the WC qualifiers, but we have to remember that this was our first attempt and the only way is up.

Assistant Manager: Steve Harper - Steve isn't the most experienced manager of all time, but he really knows how to work a team and he's good with the youngsters. Let's hope he gets the best out of them in this cup run.

Full Squad
Day's squad for this competition contains a good combination of new faces looking to force their way into the WC with the likes of Danny Winks and Jason Manner looking to make an impression alongside the more experienced players like captain Karl Weir and Ace Waterson who both featured in the BoF campaign.
GK -- 1 - Karl Weir (C) - Lynn City
GK -- 31 - Harry White - Aldham Town

DR -- 2 - Eliott Leavitt - Lynn City

DC -- 34 - Andy Tucker - Tower Hill FC
DC -- 29 - James Day - West Devyn Wanderers

DL -- 33 - Jamie Coutts - Greenwynn Rovers

MC -- 29 - Danny Winks - Sunnyvale FC
MC -- 8 - Mark Johnson - Cantaria FC
MC -- 15 - Harry Stringer - Evynn Town

AL -- 42 - Tom Davis - Lowynn Town

FC - 18 - Damian Beldray - West Devyn Wanderers
FC - 9 - Jonny Nash - Barnyt FC

Starting XI

Image

Loynn will be playing a 4-2-3-1 formation focusing on playing fast attacking football
Style modifier: 3.5

Players to watch: All eyes are on Ace Waterson as he hopes to make as much of an impact in this cup run as he does in the League. Supporters hope he will be the main creative force behind Loynn's attack.

Danny Winks has made headlines by staying at Sunnyvale for the last 6 years, helping them win two promotions and a comfortable mid-table finish in Division 1 this season. He is in the form of his life at the moment and will be a real threat to any opposition

The youth of the team are something to be excited about too. Overgard, Manner and Scarlett are all between 18-20, and will be relishing the opportunity to represent their nation here.

A quick word with the team

Here's what happened when Ian went to chat with the manager before he left.

Ian: So tell us quickly, are you excited to be back on the international field?
Patrick: Yeah we are, the boys are all prepped and ready to go, training's been great leading up to this and we're all hoping to bring back something good before the World Cup

Ian: Are you hoping for a repeat of the performances we saw at BoF65?
Patrick: We're all hoping for some good results, and as long as we don't repeat the quarter final result, we should be fine!

Ian: One last question: Do you think the youth players going with the team will have what it takes to play in the World Cup?
Patrick: We'll have to wait and see, the whole squad is working hard and they're going to make my job very difficult when it comes to picking a team for the World Cup.

Ian: Well, we know you're leaving in a few minutes so we'll let you go now. Good luck!

Loynn open against Mattijana at Cilimintaro-Killerich Memorial Ground,
catch it all with live commentary at the Locker Room, and on LBC 1

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM - WOMEN

The Independents Cup is an independent tournament organized by some kind of independent footballing organization, and for the last two editions the independent national football team assembled by independent footballing coach Heinrich Wurzmann was the team sent out to represent the Democratic Republic in this esteemed competition. But now the Samahang Futbol ng Abanhfleft has decided that the Independents Cup is actually a good place to blood in new players they are considering for inclusion for the next World Cup cycle campaign. Since it is the women's team's turn to participate in the next World Cup cycle, the SFA has called up female players who had once participated in Abanhfleft's youth teams to take part in the Independents Cup. Wurzmann's Alternative Football Program still plays a part in the Independents Cup squad selection, and a number of naturalized players will also turn out to suit up for the Lady Revolutionaries.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation: Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft
Demonym: Fleftic
Team colors: Blue, orange, and green
Style modifier: +3.5
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Manager: Heinrich Wurzmann (59 y/o, Abanhfleft-Pridnestrovia)

STARTERS
GK: Ursula QATINTIKI 26 y/o, Crisisbless Athletic Image (Nephara)
Qatintiki is a ferocious keeper who believes herself to be a good sweeper but unfortunately doesn't have all the necessary skills to be an actual sweeper keeper. Fortunately for her, she's managed to keep 10 clean sheets in the Premier Development League (Ladies' Division) for Sarvusdalamoive Ladies. Unfortunately for her, this performance hasn't carried to her first international call-up in the Sporting World Cup, where she conceded a total of 14 goals in the tournament. But the presence of an experienced back four in front of her could help her concede less in this tournament. Despite being a rapidly rising star in Sarvusdalamoive, Qatintiki opted to cut her contract and sign up for the Pridnestrovian Volunteer Legions in ESTORVIPA. She could actually be charged with treason for fighting for another sovereign nation but the SFA has pulled favors with the Ministry of Justice to delay her trial until the end of the Independents Cup.

RB: Georgine BAUM 18 y/o, Pascal Mashu Image (Kita-Hinode)
Another player with foreign roots playing for the Democratic Republic. This time, Georgine's parents are immigrants, or rather expats, from Pridnestrovia, who escaped the country after her father said a few things that were not to President Field Marshal Stepan Stepanenko's liking. Georgine is more than likely to play for Abanhfleft in the future, but stranger things have happened. Arkadia Zubarenko did end up playing for Pridnestrovia after years in Abanhfleft's youth teams. Baum has always played on the left before so seeing her on the right side this time could be a bit of a shock for her but apparently people trust Georgine to hit the ground running after being thrown off the deep end, so....

RCB: Catarina SOLER 28 y/o, Keephall Valkyries Image
Soler has served as a dependable supporting unit for both center-backs, but once again she is a player that is played out of position in most international games that she gets to play. Soler prefers being a true center-back, but that doesn't mean that she shirks from the responsibilities of being a central fullback shifted a little to the right or the left. Soler had a chance to rise up to the senior women's team but a drop in form coinciding with injuries has kept her out of the national team setup until now. Now Catarina wants to prove that she still has what it takes to be an international quality center back.

LCB: Miranda SULLINS 22 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Women Image
An exciting prospect if only for the fact that she had gotten herself noticed through the Sporting Ceneisis youth academy, which had been a bit neglected by Artemio Peres in favor of getting players both locally and abroad for as much as his team's Bellinsgauzenian boss is willing to let him spend. Still, it wouldn't do to take away from the fact that she is indeed a good defender, if a bit raw even for the standards of the under-21 teams. And an international call-up such as thing can do no harm to her career. Right?

LB: Claudia ROOS 19 y/o, Dinamo Bender Women Image (Pridnestrovia), on loan from Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image
They once said that Claudia is the player on the under-15 team who is most likely to end up representing another nation once she hits the senior level. Abanhfleft is enjoying Claudia's services while she's still with the team, as she is already turning into a future star winger, what with her pace, crossing ability, and incisive runs into the box. But with Claudia's inclusion into the Independents Cup squad (albeit playing as a fullback to supposedly improve the defensive side of her game), it looks like Abanhfleft has finally secured her for a future spot in the women's national team.

RM: Trinidad KLEIST 20 y/o, Xemlice Rovers Ladies Image
At such a young age, Trinnie, as she likes to be called, is already developing into a no-nonsense center defensive midfielder, breaking up attacks and stopping counters. Unfortunately, that also means a lot of bookings and the occasional red card for her. Trinnie still has to learn to control herself, and surely she can keep a cool head now that she's playing on the international stage and under great managers in Heinrich Wurzmann and Miriam Whitaker?

LM: Cecily SEGOVA 20 y/o, Ladies of Santos FC Image (Oontaz Dert Li Ng), on loan from Riuwiee United Women Image
CeCe is the foil to Trinidad Kleist's hard-hitting CDM. The Oontaz-born central midfielder is the creative outlet for the midfield, setting up passes and long balls to initiate the attack. But that doesn't mean she shirks from her defensive responsibilities. Still, like Trinnie, CeCe is still a bit enthusiastic with the sliding tackles and will get her name on the referee's notebook a fair few times. Another member of the second-place under-15 team from Schottia who was included in the under-21 team and now the Independents Cup team.

RW: Sohaila MAGOMEDOVA 20 y/o, Exiles FK Image (Pridnestrovia)
The daughter of a Pridnestrovian father and a Nordskanian mother who was born on Fleftic soil, Sohaila is one of Heinrich Wurzmann's latest finds from the Alternative Football Program. Her idols growing up were tricky players like Finn Jameson, Ruud Akinfenyor, and Matthew Cave, and Sohaila certainly has the feet to emulate them. Of course, being young, Sohaila's legs often get away from her and she more than occasionally trips up. But when she gets her moves right, Sohaila is unstoppable.

CAM: Kassandra PRATT 20 y/o, Riuwiee United Women Image
Riuwiee United are really going out of their way to make sure that their women's team is on par with the men's team. Kass has the beginnings of the playmaking attacking midfielder that the Blue Tribeswomen have sorely needed in their team, but it will still take a long, long time before she can be reasonably included into the first team. However, that long, long time appears to have arrived now as Kass is now considered ready for at least the Independents Cup.

LW: Amelie RUSEV 18 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image
Amelie Rusev is the best player on current Fleftic under-18 team after Gareth Williamson. At just 18 years old, she's already looking like the complete winger package. Not only is she both quick and light on her feet and strong in the air and during challenges, she is ambidextrous, able to use both feet to send in long balls and crosses into the box when she wants. With that added crossing ability, Amelie is already on her way to the first team of Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies at such a tender age. Kasper Molak will surely look to make Amelie the successor to Raisa Korovina as the next Miss Ludogorets.

ST: Kelly McGINNIS 18 y/o, Hoventon & Corlington Town Image (Mercedini)
Kelly McGinnis could very well be the next Chelsea Stuart. Lord knows she's got the raw talent in her veins and her feet. Her only problem is in getting out of Besanza to continue her development and make sure that it's on the right track to actually making her the next Chelsea Stuart. Kelly wants to move abroad to develop herself in a world-class side, and she believes that the Sporting World Cup is her way to gaining that attention and getting that move abroad. She did well in her first stint abroad, winning a domestic cup with Mercedini's Hoventon & Corlington Town, but another potential loan move to the Gallian Union fell through and she's had to stay with Airbus Besanza for this season. This could very well change though as another opportunity could be opening up for her, but it's going to take her much farther away from the Fhulghamous than just Mercedini....

RESERVES
GK: Bronwyn CHURCHILL 18 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image
Bronwyn is the daughter of Rosenpfelblatz City's new manager Joseph "Joe" Churchill, one of the most decorated managers in the sport within the Fleftic sphere of influence. Bronwyn came with her dad to Rosenpfelblatz and immediately settled in well with the Lady Sky Blues' academy. She is a traditional keeper who prefers to keep close to goal and catch or slap away shots from that position, although she is learning to become a more athletic keeper now that she's training with the likes of Yannie Redborne, Marfa Kirilenko, and Blaze Chrzanowska. It should be noted that Joe Churchill would have liked it more if his daughter had not wanted to be a goalkeeper, but at least he as a father won't worry about where she's been before, during, and after training because they're always in close proximity to each other.

GK: Stephanie BRYAN 29 y/o, Antslinngs Islands Ladies Image
Stephanie Bryan finally gets to represent the blue, orange, and green once again after over four years of sitting out due to a new reliance on the likes of Yannie Redborne and Yelena Valinovskaya to ride the bench while Victoria Carter is on form, but with Redborne now retiring from international footie and Valinovskaya recovering from ligament repair surgery, Steph will now get the chance to be seen riding the Fleftic bench once again. But whether she will be the long-term replacement for Carter and the rest is still up in the air as there are more promising keepers out there, at least according to Holly Jonasson. For the Independents Cup, Stephanie is more of a manager than a player, but Abanhfleft needs to submit at least three goalkeepers, so....

RB: Alma WALKER 20 y/o, Rushmori Drawks Image (The Isles of Avon)
Alma Walker is a decent right back who looks destined to be an actual right back instead of the myriad wingbacks who seem to be cropping up like weeds all over Abanhfleft's academies. Alma is actually ambidextrous with her feet and can play in both fullback positions fairly well and effectively (kind of like Tonya Heaton) but she prefers to work on the right side of the pitch. Doesn't mean that she can't do a good job on the left, though.

CB: Christy SHEPLEY 19 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image
t 6 feet 2 inches, Christy is already one of the tallest 17-year-old Fleftic central defenders ever in the Democratic Republic and its sphere of influence. Coupled with a supernatural defensive ability, it's a wonder why she's still on the bench and not starting, until one realizes that Christy is quite the thin and willowy girl. She's a good defender and good in aerial and dead-ball situations, there's no doubt about that, but she has to bulk up and get stronger if she is to become one of Abanhfleft's best defenders. She remains on the bench to make way for Miranda Sullins and Catarina Soler in this Independents Cup squad.

LB: Lauree McATEER 18 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Women Image (Fhulghamous Peninsula, playing in the Fleftic Ladies' Premier League)
Lauree's first international football experience was sitting on the bench of the Fleftic under-15 team during their debut appearance in the 9th Under-15 World Cup in Schottia. Although she's Port Thimpodopoulos born and bred, Lauree is being given a chance to show that she can represent the blue, orange, and green, and as she is a good and quick defender, it looks as if she's finally making the step up from the bench to the Fleftic starting eleven. She could have ended up representing the Fhulghamous Peninsula when she reaches the senior level, but stranger things have happened, and both Heinrich Wurzmann and new women's boss Miriam Whitaker saw what they wanted in Lauree and called her up.

CM: Stephanie WINTER-SLAUGHTER 21 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Women Image (Fhulghamous Peninsula, playing in the Fleftic Ladies' Premier League)
Winter-Slaughter's surname sounds rather weird when you consider her biggest asset is an unprecedented sense of justice, but it really is. Winter-Slaughter, while a competent midfielder with enough room to grow, became much more notorious for her actions both in and outside of the field, often helping opponents and team-mates at distress from injuries or pretty much anything else. Conquered some hearts for her kindness, funnily enough. Stephanie was given Fleftic citizenship on the recommendation of Heinrich Wurzmann after the disappearance of the Unified Sunrise Islands so that Abanhfleft could take advantage of her talents.

CM: Abigail PAPADIAMANTOPOULOS 25 y/o, All-Inclusive Haranguer Image
Abigail is the tallest player in this roster at 6 feet 8 inches, taller than even her supposed lookalike Stephanie Bryan. Abigail used to play Sunday league with Anglatia's Ross Port Rangers before Fleftic scouts noticed her during the 38th Di Bradini Cup and she signed a contract with Wallace Partridge's All-Inclusive Haranguer. Partridge chose to sign Abigail due to her size and her playstyle which is very much reminiscent of one of the most famous (if not the best) players to put on the black-and-amber shirt in Sutalen "The Beast of Copper Cuprum" Desoka. Despite helping All-Inclusive Haranguer to a fifth-place finish in the 2022-23 season, she was never called up for Anglatia's national team, and with the country now returning to its policy of total isolation, Abigail was given Fleftic citizenship on the recommendation of Heinrich Wurzmann so the SFA could take advantage of her skills on the pitch.

CM: ERIN Jensdottir-Jennings 24 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image
We finally come to one of the most controversial additions to Abanhfleft's Independents Cup squad yet. Not a person living in Abanhfleft hasn't heard of the story of Erin Jensdottir and her friend Britt Hanokssen. The two of them had gotten in trouble with an Anglatian gang and their friend Bisera Haralampieva, of Rosen City Ladies and Pridnestrovia women's national team fame, called on another friend of hers to get Erin and Britt out of trouble. They did so by faking Erin and Britt's deaths and substituting them for two dead bodies. Britt and Erin had ended up playing for FC United of Riuwiee in the seventh tier of Fleftic football before they finally came clean about their status, resulting in the biggest ever points deduction in Fleftic football history and a massive settlement package with Hunsen Loggers from United of Riuwiee for both Erin and Britt. Erin is described as the complete playmaker able to operate from deep or right in front with the forwards, which is why Heinrich Wurzmann recommended her naturalization in time for the Independents Cup.

CAM: BRITT Hanokssen-Hanks 21 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image
Erin Jensdottir's best friend and girlfriend, Britt has been called "too ambitious for her own good" by the man who would eventually recommend bringing Britt over to Rosenpfelblatz, Matthew Cave. Britt isn't exactly the best, most mobile, most skillful, fastest, or most accurate player available for the Independents Cup, but she makes up for it in her sheer never-say-die attitude. Other things that other players might consider lost causes are just more challenges for Britt to overcome. That being said, if Britt does end up making an appearance for Abanhfleft, it's probably more out of desperation than anything else. But still, no one knows. Maybe this is the tournament where Britt finally shines bright.

CAM: Prudence WOODWARD 18 y/o, Duhblakk Aztecs Image
Prudence Woodward is the third and final player of Panemian descent to represent the blue, orange, and green for the Sporting World Cup. She is the younger sister of Julius Woodward and her future appears to be in central attacking midfield. Prudence is already displaying a taste for clever through-balls and occupying pockets of space in which she could create chances and even score a few goals herself. Prudence has also been rumored to be displaying more than just friendly attention and camaraderie with the team's resident lesbian Poppaea Fleet-Street but that's hardly important to the conversation. But although nothing has been confirmed yet, it could be said that it won't be much of a surprise if Prudence came out and admitted that she has a relationship with Poppaea. Also already a mother after an argument with Prudence led to a one-night stand with fellow under-18 teammate Prince William Luckless.

FW: Annamarie SABADO 23 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image
LS: Annamarie SABADO 21 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image, female
Sabado has the makings of being "the next Fleftic super-sub." No less a footballing authority than Arsenal de Releinthi manager Godric Wexler said so after Sabado had scored the game-winning goal against Lutine to give Abanhfleft a ticket to the Sporting World Cup final. And, judging from her inclusion into the Independents Cup, Heinrich Wurzmann and Miriam Whitaker look to do the same with her for the coming tournament.

FW: Irina BABARUSHCHIK 28 y/o, Dynamo Shebchetsik Image (Mercedini)
Babarushchik used to be in (friendly) competition with Annamarie Sabado for the position of Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies U-21s' starting striker, but Sabado ended up being the winner in the long run as Babarushchik couldn't wait for Chelsea Stuart to retire (which is still a long time coming anyway) and the half-Pridnestrovian striker struck out for greener pastures in the form of Mercedini's Dynamo Shebchetsik. Now, as both Irina and Annamarie return to the Fleftic national team setup for the Independents Cup, they are once again back to competing with each other for the honor of being the next Fleftic super-sub.

A North Prarie supporters group marches to the stadium in Dover before an international friendly.
Navy and Gold smoke bombs; Don't be alarmed because of North Prariean ultras in South Toronto.
By Liz Carlson, Head of Sports Publishing | @lizsbt

(LORDANO, SOUTH TORONTO.) For those of you attending the South Toronto Invitational Cup, the 2nd pre-World Cup practice for our national team, you may encounter ultras in your own colors marching to the stadium with smoke bombs, flares, and drums. But don't be alarmed! These North Prarieans, like everyone else, are nice, friendly, and will not start fights with other nations' supporters.
This brand of ultra is fairly unique to North Prariean supporters. They don't drum up controversy, and are just out there because they have that much national pride and love for the game. You won't hear about them as much in the news as other national team ultras, as some of those other countries have hooligans who like to start fights for their supporters. However, they won't attack the Prarieans because, well, the Prarieans did nothing to provoke them. Ultras don't really attack nice, unsuspecting people for no reason. They aren't that mean.
If you see these ultras, they will most likely be the 1104. The 1104 is the main North Prariean ultras group, and have over 8,000 members across the globe. They partake in marches to the stadium, much like many Prarie Premier clubs do, most notably Durham City FC. Once inside the stadium, they will light flares and smoke bombs and sing songs, play with the band, and partake in chants (They have a pretty amusing Chriper account too! Go follow @1104!) The 1104 even has their own section, the Goldstar Stands, inside Colossal Park Sports Precinct, but for games in stadiums outside Colossal Park, they usually rent out a section, use the Away Fans area, or take up the safe-standing spots. And that's another thing they do too. The 1104 only uses safe standing sections, as part of their mission statement is to "Provide a safe and fun experience for every fan, Prariean or not.". They have received compliments from other international supporter groups for doing this, as safe standing is still a controversial issue.
And to South Toronton officials: Please don't take away their smoke bombs or flares. These people know what they're doing, and as mentioned before, are nice and committed to safety. There have been 0 issues so farw with the 1104 using smoke bombs or flares. It's their identity.
The Prarieans face Razenthuria in Lordano on Saturday, and the 1104 is surely to be out in support. So if you're at the STIC, have fun and support our Prarie! Come on you Loons!

MATTIJANA NAME MIXED SQUAD FOR SOUTH TORONTO TRIP

MFO SPORT

Mattijanan manager Dusan Vukoja has named a development side for the upcoming South Torontan Invitational Cup, a warm up tournament for the 80th World Cup.

Katarina Jakupovic captains a side made up largely of fringe and under 23 players, albeit with a spine of more experienced first-teamers to lend a helping hand to some of the new players, including the current captain Katija Burnisevič.

Included in the line-up is Rikard Illicic, the first Mattijanan to move to a foreign club. The 22 year old now plays in Buyan and is touted to be the long-term replacement for Edvard Crajasović at centre-back.

As well as youth, Vukoja has opted to give opportunities to a number of fringe players and substitutes in preparation for the world cup, expected to be Mattijana's best ever off the back of a promising performance in World Cup 79 and a second successive third place at the Campionato Esportiva. Sophia Velezia is re-handed a starting berth in the absence of Sofiane Bisrali whilst Daniella Alaba and Matej Handanovic are also included in the squad. However, Jago Adrianov does not feature and is anticipated to announce his international retirement after the 80th world cup.

National Association: MattijanaFusbalBand (MFB)

Formation:

Head Coach: Dusan Vukoja
Appointed manager around a month before his first game in charge, Vukoja left Division 1 side FK Puljanka for the National team job, having recorded the club’s best finish in 10 years with 5th, behind only Burges, the two Petrovijanka clubs and FK Revinka. The south-Mattijanan had previously spent time at FK Burges both as assistant and full-time manager after a spell at lower-table side Jamas, where he succeeded in rescuing the team from almost imminent relegation. Now aged 40, Vukoja did not enjoy a lengthy playing career due to injury, but says that coaching is his real passion.
With Ljubanik’s style of play turning increasingly turgid and results also suffering, the Mattijanan FA and fans decided to seek a more exciting brand of football that had been on show at Puljanka in their 5th-place success last season. However the pressure will be on the new man to ensure both more exciting football and more exciting results.

Assistant Manager: Dominik Samikov (FK Burges)

The assistant manager at Championship leaders FK Burges hails from the North-East of Mattijana and began his career at Dinamo Legisaw, another division 2 side before then moving as one of the tactical staff to FK Burges, where he has since worked his way up the pecking order to assistant manager. He has an excellent tactical mind as well as good player welfare skills and helps out Ljubanik in both management areas. He has so far proved himself to be a capable aid.

Head Scout: Marcel Kuzbacher

Marcel Kuzbacher is a seasoned scout, mainly plying his trade for the famed Puljanka Academy. He has links with numerous players in the Mattijanan squad as well as the under-21 side and makes up the 3-man selection panel alongside Samikov and Ljubanik.

Fitness Coordinator: Jelena Neumanič

Jelena Neumanič is responsible for the diet and fitness of the squad, freeing up the main management team to think about tactical matters. She has a solid variety of exercises and is well-known for getting on player's backs if they don't keep up with their expected effort levels.

Psychologist: Samira Kazmir

Samira Kazmir is an experienced sports psychologist who has done work for both the summer and winter Olympic teams, the Mattijanan ITT side and the MRT motor racing team. She is responsible for the mental welfare of players, stretching from the collective mind-set to more personal issues for each individual in the squad and may have a tough task on her hands if this tournament turns out like the last.

The Medical Team:

Head Doctor: Dr Charlotte Smitič
Assistant Doctor: Dr Mattias Buranov
Physio: Martina Laramazič
Physio: Mika Glasnić

With their first ever WC qualification finally arriving at Credrawk last cycle, the Qasden Association Football Association (QAFA) looks to train a younger group of Vans in high hopes for a stronger squad come WC80. While NT Starters, Petro Rees and Lloyd Tokobo, continue on as part of the initial XI, The rest of the team seems to be a conglomerate of fringe and U21 players, all looking to move up in the national pyramid.

So why are they like this? Why are players like Kai Metre and Valentijn Munson taking the top spots in the group? With the diverse group of Blue-Reds, it only seems reasonable to shove them in a Pre-WC tournament. Travelling across the region, these cats will face off with 15 other predominantly youthful teams in the South Toronto Invitational Cup in, well, South Toronto, for a shot at earning another star on the emblem. Will they succeed? Will they fail? Will the intern ever give me the freaking toast I asked for?

The South Toronton Invitational Cup is the first attempt at International Tournaments by the FFNFT in its long history, and many fans are enthusiastic about the Frozen Forest entering into its first International competition.

Otto Lindén will be returning to the FFNFT as its Manager for the second time. Otto, a native resident of the Heartlands and of the capital city of Truvaria has announced that "He's confident in the abilities of his chosen players." Otto was selected to hold onto his position on account of his age and experience, having played in foreign clubs during his youth and managing both the Truvaria Lynxes and the Rucdromd Beavers Football Clubs in more recent years. He's noted to pursue more aggressive players and strategies and has always advocated for the Frozen Forest to enter the World Stage.

Josef Petterson will be working alongside Otto to ensure that the FFNFT has the best possible odds in the following tournament. Petterson, whom took over the Truvaria Lynxes following Manager Otto's takeover of the Rucdromd Beavers gave him the valuable experience he would need to obtain his position of Assistant-Manager. He is responsible for the fierce rivalry between the two aforementioned Clubs, though has said many times that he holds nothing personal over Otto. He tends to favor more aggressive players and strategies though he has done his best not to avoid a decent defense, giving Lindén some valuable insight into the various possible club members available for the National Team.

Erik Källström will be replacing Marius Lovdahl as the Head Coach of the National Team. Källström is noted for having coached the Icaromd Honey Bee's through their first regional tournament victory the year prior. Despite his relatively young age, Erik won in a landslide when the FFNFT Leadership Committee met to elect positions. Erik's father was a coach before him and when he was six years old, Erik was enrolled in numerous colleges specializing in Football, where he took courses from the ages of 12-17 relating to coaching and leading a team. He is well liked by the FFNFT Members but has been at odds with Otto Lindén, believing that a defensive strategy should be practiced more often than the teams current policy permitted.

Lennart Södergren will be the teams Athletic Trainer through the tournament. Lennart, a native of Norway was hired by the FFNFT specifically to participate in the South Toronton Invitational Cup. This has been deemed an unpopular choice as many desired the renowned athletics trainer Steffen Sando be offered the position, as he was a Frozen Forestrian by birth. Södergren has said that he is happy with the offer however, as he feels that his training can make an impact on the players prior to the Cup. This years Cardio Trainer will be Arnfast Ekberg. Arnfast is a native resident of the Frozen Forest and has worked with numerous clubs throughout his career. He has been known to push players and has himself also participated in the sport as an amateur.

Axel Ekdal has been selected as the Goalkeeping Coach. Axels work with young goalkeepers began when he was in college, where he took courses directed towards the tutoring of professional football players. His love for teaching others and his fascination with Football led him to eventually join the staffing of the Truvaria Lynxes, where he worked extensively with the then-manager Otto Lindén in order to prepare the teams goalkeepers to stay cool under pressure. He proved to do exceptionally well in this and was seen as a underdog candidate during the selection process by the FFNFT Leadership Committee.

The Teams returning Doctor, Leon Lagerlöf has been a satisfying compromise between those favoring a foreign doctor with better knowledge of sports injuries and one who is native to the Frozen Forest, being both of these things. Leon himself has notably only been working with professional athletes for the latter part of his career. His joining of the sport was initially unlike and a curiosity by many but he's quickly become trusted with his quick grasp of his new field. He will be joined by the new Team Administrator, Julian Östlund. Julian is less well known, having worked for the Federal Mining Commission for a majority of his career. His entry into the FFNFT's staff selection was unusual, though the lack of other candidates along with his promising work in the government made him the obvious choice.

Vincent Ulf will be in charge of Equipment as the Equipment Manager. Previously he worked in the Icaromd Construction Firm before finally joining the Kjolr Blue Bees as their new Equipment Manager. The position, though not as coveted as Head Coach is still important and his spotless record when dealing with equipment acquisition, maintenance and use made him the obvious choice when the Leadership Committee met. Finally, the Leadership Committee has elected Marcus Blomgren as the new Press Officer for the FFNFT. Marcus was previously the Chief-Editor of the Truvaria times, as well as the Press Officer of both the Rucdromd Beavers and Kjolr Blue Bees. He was a conservative choice which managed to beat out several other candidates.

Eyes Back On Football As South Toronton Invitational Gets Underway

Fresh from their third place at the Campionato Esportiva, Mattijana are back on the international football scene as they travel to South Toronto for the inaugeral South Torontan Invitational Cup.

For the majority of the national team's stars however, it is back to business in the PrvaLiga* between now and the pre-World Cup friendlies. Dušan Vukoja named a largely developmental squad for the South Toronton tournament as he looks to try out a number of fringe and youth options in determining his best 23 for the 80th edition of the hallowed tournament.

Former Mattijana Under 23 captain Katarina Jakupovic will captain the senior team for the first time in her career after a successful debut world cup and subsequent regional tournament. Current first-team captain Katija Burnisevič also features in the squad, bit will line up alongside 22 year old Rikard Illicić, the first Mattijanan player to move abroad and the expected replacement for Edvard Crajasović. The FK Revinka player has a similar skill set to the young Antaljan and Illicić will be a like-for-like replacement once the big centre back announces his international retirement.

Elsewhere, Sophia Velezia will get her opportunity to re-claim the starting berth on the left-wing from Sofiane Bisrali, but Jessika Struna is in as part of a more experienced spine for the team.

Matej Handanović is back, but only on the bench with former Under 21 Goalkeeper Martin Vaskarić ready to take his place between the sticks. The 22 year old will earn his title of Handanović if he starts a game at the world cup or Campionato Esportiva, but will need to oust Lucija Handanovič from her position.

Mattijana will face Petroslovania, Loynn and the Frozen Forest in their group D matches, arguably te kindest draw for the world's 72nd ranked side.

Matchday 1: Loynn
World Rank: 141

Baptism of Fire 65 Quarter-Finalists Loynn play in their first tournament since the WC 78 qualifiers and will need to get to grips with the extra intensity quickly if they are to make an impact after their time out.
Patrick Day once again takes charge of the team with goalkeeper and captain Karl Weir leading the team on the pitch. Ace Waterson is the main man to watch and is is expected to be the main creative force behind his side. Danny Winks will be a tough player to bypass in the defensive midfield.

Fast attacking football is the approach in a similar vein to that of the Mattijanans. Expect a frantic match with the fast nature and match rustiness of the players in their first group match, but if that is how it turns out, the Mattijanans may have the better quality required to see out the game.

Matchday 2: The Frozen Forest
World Rank: UR

International football debutants the Frozen Forest are the most lesser-known side in the group. If their name is anything to go by, free-flowing football is not an expectation due to permafrost and the added obstruction of trees, yet the team may be surprisingly proficient dribblers and free kick takers given the chance to move and hit the ball around the natural defenders whilst training.
Anything could happen really, but whilst the Foresters might rancy themselves in their own foliage, Mattijana will be looking to send them packing with a display of good grass-based football.

Matchday 3: Petroslovania
World Rank: 103

Petroslovania are on paper the group's toughest opponents, but still sit 30 places below Vukoja's side in the world rankings. They are yet to really do much on the world stage after a couple of mediocre international performances, but may be eyeing up the second-place position in the group. Should they slip up early on however, a late tie with Mattijana will not whet the appetite.
The socialist republic of Mattijana:
As if Austria, Slovenia, North-Eastern Europe and Sweden were merged together into some weird stew of a country.
through resilience, we are strong!

OOC:

Hello, I am afraid I am facing issues with xkoranate. Cutoff will start tomorrow at 17:00- 17:30 GMT. I am sorry for the delay but the issue was with my computer crashing every time I tried to load it. But during this time period, you can hopefully get 1-2 pieces of RP done. I am working to figure out what is wrong.

The STIC Album

Page 2

The star of the second page of the Beepeean STIC Album is

Chris Patterson

Image
Chris Patterson on the training ground.

24 year old midfielder Chris Patterson prefers playing on the right, however is comfortable in any midfield position.

Patterson has excellent ball skills, can whip in a mean cross, and is by far Beepee's quickest runner.

Patterson provides stong leadership and works best with left midfielder Dirk Bolt.

Q.  How do you think Beepee isn going to perform?

CP: I think we need to be realistic; we are not going to win the tournament but a clean sheet maybe a goal or two would be good.

Q: Do you have any personal goals for this tournament?

CP: To play the best I can, try and push the team on to the next level. Trying not to get sent off would also good *laughs*

Q: Apart from yourself who is a key member of the team.

CP:I think Dirk [Bolt] will be important we can provide width and service to the attackers and extra defence if needed.

Q: What group game are you most looking forward to?

CP: Our first match against Razenthuria.  Its going to be great to win a cap and to see how we hold ourselves against others.

Kits:

Image

OOC: Shout out to Filindostan for hooking me up with these awesome kits, if you need any kits or logos you can request them from the MVP here.

Formation: 4-3-3 Attack

Starting LIneup:

GK: Harvey Collin (Age 20) He looks a lot more like the guy you get in a fight with in the bar than a professional footballer. He was scouted whilst playing drunk in a Sunday league match and it is now a tradition for him to always takes a shot of wine before playing a match. Due to this, he is always at 85% fitness before matches but nevertheless is a solid keeper best at diving but worst at positioning. He was sent here as his spot in the senior team is up for grabs, due to a number of poor performances. If he can prove himself, it is likely he will be recalled for the World Cup.

RB: Prince Abou Diaby (Age 23) Playing in the BoF and the World Cup 79 Qualifiers, Prince has secured his place in the national team as he is arguably the best right back in South Toronto. He is very fast and strong, an overpowered combination which has seen him outspeed the fastest of attackers and easily tacking the ball with no issue. He is a versatile defensive player, being able to play LB, CB, RB and even CDM. But despite seeming to be the perfect defender, Prince is only 5'8" which rules him out of aerial duties against taller players. However, he's experienced a significant fall from grace as he has been replaced by Taha El-Hindi in the senior team because of his aggressive ways which have seen him earn multiple suspensions and bookings. Even if he performs well in the STIC, Prince has fallen out with manager Axel Salzer Lenzi and probably won't even get into the senior team, although there's always a chance.

CB: John Bakayoko(Age 20)Also played in the Baptism of Fire tournament as a CDM but was also converted to a CB by Axel. His aggression and determination puts off attackers, and his thundering long shots are troublesome for even the best keepers. However, his aggression is a strength and a weakness, as he is often booked for his tackles and other challenges. John has had a long absence from the national team, not appearing for the Iscantan Mereadas Zeradadas since the World Cup 79 Qualifications. If he shows promise in the STIC, it's highly likely he will be selected as a CDM for the World Cup 80.

CB: Devante Marie Tiberius (Age 18) He is the son of the former leader of South Toronto Tiberius Prombase. Devante is the best long passer on the team, being able to lob the ball from one end of the pitch to the other. He is very fast for a CB and has 10 security guards watching him play every match. Any crimes by South Toronton fans seen by his security guards will almost certainly lead to an arrest and any player who commits a foul on Devante will pay a fine of 500 raicyans or 500 of whatever currency the player earns. His nickname by many South Toronton fans is Marie The Strapped Lamb. He's here for the fun of it, as he has already won the league with Port Decca FC.

LB: Jeremy St.Jose (Age 20) St.Jose is a versatile LB, being able to play all positions in defence, LM, LW, and CDM. Naturally, he is a quick and agile player but lacks the ability to cross the ball effectively. Jeremy came through the ranks of Islami Cocuron FC, based in Aredia, where he shone during the 31/32 season in which he won the league cup. St.Jose is looking to break into the team but will have a hard time doing so in any of the positions he plays.

LCM: Owen Wright (Age 23) A counterpart of Ni Ling Son, Owen plays as a more offensive midfielder and is actually the best finisher in the entire team. The media criticises Axel for not changing his position to an ST, but Owen has passing that would be wasted at an ST position. Owen is technically gifted but has average stamina and limited pace which combined with being quite physically weak rules him out of being an ST and he is better suited at CM. Owen has been criticised for being lazy, and as a result, is fighting for a spot in the national team. Germanpreet Sachadev is his main competition, and if he fails to impress Germanpreet will be chosen over him.

CM: Germanpreet Sachadev (Age 18) Germanpreet chose to only show his first name and surname as it would've been easier for commentators to pronounce his name. Germanpreet is the ultimate super sub and is the most likely to come off the bench and score a late equaliser. Germanpreet displayed a number of good performances during the World Cup 79 Qualifiers coming off the bench and scoring twice. A thundering left foot can catch the most experienced keepers by surprise and is arguably the best long shot taker in the team after Michal Bergman. However, he is not very skilful on the ball and can lose possession when under pressure. He is competing for a spot next to Ni-Ling Son and has shown he can step up with a number of good performances. Owen Wright is his main competition as well, but Axel put both in to see who's the better out of the two.

CAM: Tom Pyrce Bellaiy (Age 19) Tom is a clinical finisher, being able to squeeze it past a sea of defenders into the goal and literally shooting for fun almost anywhere on the pitch. His playing style is very similar to Michal Bergman but he is not the best set piece taker so to speak. His ball control is his major weakness, often leading him to unintentionally give away possession. Tom barely got any minutes in both the CoH and the IC, and has come to prove himself in the STIC.

RW: DeAndre Kiese-Thelin(Age 19) Kiese Thelin was converted to RW from LB because he wasn't keeping up with defensive capabilities. He also scored 5 goals in the BoF, more than any other South Toronton player during the BoF. Known for blistering pace, he uses his pace and dribbling skills to outwit defenders and slide it into the goal. DeAndre is the most likely to earn his team a set piece, but is often booked for diving, a trait previous player Helder Bastos shared. DeAndre volunteered to play in this tournament so he can get some good practice.

ST: Trevon Eliezer (Age 19) Trevon was seen playing at a charity game and was subsequently snapped up by mid-table club Brimber Volcanoes. Known for his skilfulness and ability to get out of tricky situations, Trevon proved he could become world class if he put enough dedication into it. His right footedness is seen as rare in South Toronto, as 65% of players playing in the first division were left-footed, meaning he can bang a shot from the halfway line and somehow they would go in. Trevon has anger issues from a rough childhood and is often booked for retaliation on defenders when they foul him. Trevon's form has been too inconsistent and subsequently has been placed here.

LW: Ni Ling Son(Age 21) Son of legendary player Yung Ki Son, Ni Ling has been under a lot of pressure by the media to emulate and surpass his father's success. The current rate Ni Ling's skills are developing, he will surpass his fathers' success in 2-3 years. Ni Ling is the glue that holds the team together and is one of the most versatile players in South Toronto being able to play LB, CB, CM, CDM ,LM ,CAM LW, ST, showing how balanced his skills are from defending to passing, to shooting and dribbling. He is more of a defensive midfielder and is almost the opposite of Owen Wright However, Ni Ling is the second smallest player in the team, being only 5'6" which means he can't play CB without a stronger, taller partner. But his curse is a blessing at the same time because he can dribble through an entire team as if they weren't there and is most likely to score a solo goal. Ni Ling also volunteered to play in the STIC, but also to see who he prefers out of Germanpreet and Owen.

Substitutes:

CM: Manny Jerimiah(Age 19)
LW: Petchre Mackay(Age 27)
ST: Oloja Minmeer(Age 20)
LB: Dray Belmont(Age 17)
CB: Jimmy Floyd Anderson(Age 23)
CAM: Quinque Dembele (Age 16)
GK: Juan Estaban de Mites (Age 24)

Reserves:

CM: Hassan El-Hindi (Age 16)
CB: Jay-Jay Rerin (Age 22)
GK: Qui Li Fang (Age 27)
RB: Kamar Legioner(Age 21)
RW: Helder Bastos (Age 20)

Nickname: Iscantan Mereadas Zeradadas
Many foreign people outside South Toronto would be confused at the choice of our national team nickname, as outsiders often see it as three words of unknown meaning but this is well understood throughout all of South Toronto as it is in the language of the Exzapanusi tribe. The Exzapanusi people usually reside on the Island of Anthiarte, where they live their lives in peace. The Exzapanusi tribe language(Exzapa) is mandatory in all school curriculums, as a rule in South Toronto requires that all students must be fluent in 3 or more languages in an attempt to establish more trade with other countries. The English translation of 'Iscantan Mereadas Zeradadas' is 'The Eternal Blazing Phoenixes' but the Exzapa version sounds so much more mysterious and fearful than the English version so the national team adopted the Exzapa version.

BEEPEE WIN FIRST SOCCER MATCH

Delighted Beepeeans took to the streets to celebrate a surprise 1-0 win over Razenthuria.

To commemorate the victory, a national holiday has been called by the Government.

Razenthuria 0 v 1 Beepee

MATCH REPORT

The referee blew the whilst to start the match and immediately Razenthuria were in an aggressive frame of mind, seeking to stamp their authority on the match.

Less than a minute into the match, a hefty tackle on Beepeean central midfielder Max Christian saw the first yellow card awarded to Razenthuria.

Razenthuria took control of the match early on, however it wasnt until the twelfth minute that the first shot was taken.  The shot however was off target and went sailing over the bar, much to the relief of Beepeean goalkeeper Francois Shep.

In the fifteenth minute, Razenthuria got its first shot on target after some excellent build up play.  The Razenthuria midfiled bossed and passed their way patiently pulling at the  Beepeean defence. The shot whilst on target and was scuffed and held easily by Shep.

Shep then kicked the ball long and it bounced through midfield to striker Anders Poje who tried to control the ball.  The ball had too much on it however and despite getting a toe-poke to the ball.  It was an easy save for the Razenthurian goalie.

In the 20th minute, Beepee captain Chris Patterson whipped in a fierce cross from the right wing.  It met the head of Sam Veera, who had managed to slip his marker, but he couldnt make proper contact and was easily held by the Razenthurian goalie.

Razenthuria continued to dominate the midfield and had a number of chances.  However,  the strikers were not performing having no more than five further shots off target in the second half.

It wasnt until the 41st minute that a clever dribble and shimmy from the Razenthurian playmaker found him with a clear shot on goal and only Shep to beat.  However, rahter than placing the shot, he tried to hit with power and then aimed directly at Shep.  Shep initially fumbled the ball, but quickly smothered the loose ball for the save.

Although Razenthuria had clearly had the better half, both teams headed to the tunnel at halftime without a goal.

The team talk given by Beepee Coach Michael Forsberg, must have been stirring as the whole Beepeean team came out with renewed purpose.

Beepee pressed forward, closing down Razenthuria players with far greater purpose and holding the ball well.

In the 52nd minute, Patterson sent in a lovely floating cross from the right flank.  This time the cross fell to the feet of Poje,  who could not quite control the volley which hit the post and bounced wide.

But Beepee continued  to apply pressure.  Building from the back, in the 54th minute, some excellent quick passing allowed Niklaus Malade to cut open the midfield with a short pass.  Poje collected the ball and took a powerful shot, which bounced off a Razenthurian defender for a corner.  The corner was floated in by Dirk Bolt from the left. After some confusion, Max Christian found himself in the 6 yard box with the ball at his feet and deftly poked the ball home for a GOAL!!!!

The small but vocal travelling Beepeean suppory went wild!  Max Christian wheeled  towards his teammates to celebrate.

The Razenthurian players heads seemed to drop after going behind, and Beepee certainly didnt sit back to defend the slim lead.  Forsberg pushed the team on in search of a second.

A few minutes later,  Poje took a long range shop which went wide.  Poje who  been missing a number of chances and hadn't played well all match was quickly substituted by Forseberg and replaced with Liam Chang.  Chang's fresh legs helped against the tiring Razenthurian defence.

In the 61st minute, Change sprinted to catch a long ball from Anders Bucke.  Change directed the ball well but couldnt beat the diving Razenthurian goalie, who held under pressure from Veera for the save.

The Beepeean team were seeing more of the ball and the lead was giving them more confidence.  The Razenthurians hadn't had a single shot on goal in the second half and Beepee started peppering the goal with long range shots.  None of which truly tested the Razenthurians.

In the 79th, a long range effort from Dirk Bolt resulted in the save of the match from the Razenthurian goalie, who palmed away a shot which seemed destined for the top right hand corner of the net.

With a number of tired legs on show, Forsberg made his two remaining defensive substitutions in the 80th minute, brining on Hutt and Sohn for Boles and Bucke respectively.

Beepee's defensive style continued to frustrate the  Razenthurian team.  A couple of rash tackles from both teams saw tempers rise as Beepee defended stoicly.    In the 88th minute, Hutt was shown a yellow card for a dangerous tackle.

In the 92nd and final minute of injury time: Beepee Team takes a final shot which went high and wide of the target.  With that the referee blew his final whistle putting the Razenthurian team out of their misery and sending all of Beepee into delirium.

STIC ALBUM

Page 3

The third player in the official STIC album is centre forward Sam Veera.

Image

22 year old Sam Veera, who plays for Mela Leuca is an adept finisher.  Whilst his key weakness is heading, Veera makes up for this deficiency through his understanding of the importance of positioning and often loses markers inside the 6 yard area.

Veera, who prefers his right foot,  has excellent power and is often able to outmuscle his opponents.

Q: How does national football compare to club football.

SV: Its a step up and a new challenge.  Its exciting.  We dont really know what's going to happen.

Q: Do you think you'll score in the tournament?

SV: Hopefully! We're a good team and work well together.

Q: What are thoughts on Coach Michael Forsberg?

SV:  He's been great! You wouldnt expect me to say anything less would you?  Hes helping us all reach our potential.

Q: Apart from yourself who is a key member of our team?

SV: Well... Id say it was our attacking section.  You cant win a game without scoring any goals.  Anders Jung is a great talent and i look forward to playing alongside him.

Q: What match are you most looking forward to?

SV:  All of them.  They're all going to be tough.

South Toronto Secure easy 2-0 victory against Aji No Moto

86,373 fans from both South Toronto and Aji No Moto made a journey to Victory Road to see the opening game of the STIC. Weather in Aredia was quite windy, but that failed to stop goals from Germanpreet Sachadev and Ni Ling Son entering the opponent's goals.

Almost instantly, South Toronto was off to an amazing start as a thundering shot from St.Jose in the 3rd went off the post and Ni Ling Son beat his man and finessed the ball into the top bins, leaving keeper Fusanosuke Kudara rooted to the spot. However, Aji No Moto was determined to get at least a draw and put pressure on the Iscantan Mereadas Zeradadas. Harvey Collin was tested repeatedly by the Ajian team with Aji No Moto having 12 shots in a mere period of 33 minutes. Yūtarō Shigemitsu almost scored what would've been the goal of the tournament through a brilliant run which left our defenders in the dust and chipping it over Harvey Collin, but he misplaced his shot and it landed just over the net.

In the first half, Aji No Moto dominated South Toronto but Axel was not having it. It seems he had a halftime talk with his team as the players' attitudes changed drastically.

"Guys, Aji No Moto have had 13 shots in the first half. We are playing like WE are the underdogs" asserted Axel, whilst looking at the players. Owen looked at Axel and then directed his eyesight towards Germanpreet. " It wouldn't be 13 shots if someone passed in a frickin' straight line, dude gave up possession like he was the 12th man on the Ajian team," said Owen as he stood up and glared at Germanpreet. Everybody in the dressing room looked at Owen as if he was a madman. "It's nobody's fault," said Axel " What we need to do when we get possession, only wait for the best time to pass or shoot. We are carelessly passing the ball around and that's simply not good enough. You are on this team to progress, and that's what I want to see you doing". The referee popped into the dressing room and said " Time'z for ze zecond half, get ready and be on ze pitch en twee minnots". Germanpreet shouted, "C'mon lads, let us get this W!" and the players in the dressing room replied "Yeah yeah!". Owen didn't say anything.

In the second half, South Toronto was a much better side but it soon became an uneventful game. Finally, in the 87th minute, South Toronto sealed the deal when a pass from Jeremy St.Jose to Germanpreet Sachadev was intercepted, but Germanpreet regained possession and launched the ball like a rocket into the goal. Ajian fans were noticeably quiet, as the referee blew for full time. All players shook hands, but Owen Wright. He walked off the pitch abruptly, seeming resentful.
2nd place finish in BoF 66. There's more to come! Hopefully..

Really sorry for yesterday, but I had an English essay due and ultimately I had to complete it over scorination last night, because if I didn't, I probably would've got a 90-minute detention (I am lucky since a third of my class got a 90 for not doing the homework, and our English teacher is strict as hell. However, ya'll are luck since you get two cuttoffs in a day! Again, I'm sorry but it's RL commitments over NS.

It be ya first of the two cuttofs today!

26 goals were scored today. But 6 of those were ours. Here's a little poem:

It was 6 goals scored,
the South Toronton crowd roared and cheered,
defenders were left in the dust like dinosaurs,
Northwest Kalactin have taken two L's in two games,
For opponents, it was too easy,
Maybe you'd do better if you did a bit more RP!

(BURN!!! Don't worry, Loynn was the centre of the mocking but today it's your turn.) Fans watching Group D matches have been extremely bored by the results.

South Toronto Humiliate Northwest Kalactin 6-3!

In the second matchday of the STIC, current group leaders South Toronto humiliated Northwest Kalactin 6-3 in Aredia. Before the game, we got to interview youngster Quinque Dembele, brother of Jozy Dembele, ahead of the game. Here's how it went:

Interviewer: How did you feel when you were called up for the STIC squad?

Quinque: I felt acknowledged, so many other players could've been chosen for CAM but the boss picked me, which makes me grateful.

Interviewer: Do you think you could get into the World Cup 80 squad if you do well enough?

Quinque: Well anything can happen, I could get in, I could not. I do think if I do exceptionally well in the STIC, it would be hard to pass on me. Hopefully, I can get into the squad, put my head down and focus on becoming a legend for my national team. However, 'till then I need to display good effort in every training session and work on the weaker parts of my game.

Interviewer: Well you are going up against Northwest Kalactin, a side who lost to Abanhfleft 3-2. It is clear they lack in their defensive capabilities but are very attacking. How do you and the rest of the squad plan on suppressing them?

Quinque: Northwest Kalactin generally play a high defensive line, so Axel told us to exploit the space that the Kalactin players left. It would leave us with an easy scoring opportunity, and with Trevon, Ni Ling, and DeAndre it would be highly likely to score. We can sit back and allow them to attack, but we'll apply pressure to them. When we regain possession, we will play attacking football. I am looking forward to the next game and I hope I can get a goal or two. Thank you for having me.

Match Report

SOUTH PRARIE 4 - 5 BEEPEE

The hotly anticipated match between South Pacific powerhouse South Prarie and well meaning underdogs, Beepee turned into something of a goal fest.

South Prarie playing their counter attacking style faced the defensive minded bulldozers.

The scoring was opened in the 16th minute when North Prarian striker Matthew Oliver managed to connect with a direct pass from Central Midfielder Philip Tran.  Controlling the ball with some superb skill before firing a shot to the bottom left corner which left Beepeean Goalie Francois Shep sprawling.

Beepeean central defender Claude Boles clearly irate and feeling that Oliver was offside remonstrated to the ref, only to go too far and receive a yellow card for his troubles.

GOAL Further disaster occurred less than 3 minutes later when a lovely counter attack move with precision quick passing allowed May to pass to Schmitz to Tran to Miller.  Despite having an opportunity to go for the goal himself, Miller noticing the defence were stretched selflessly passed back to Tran for an easy put away.  North Prarie went 2-0 up and seemed to be in control.

GOAL In the 28th minute, Beepee pulled one goal back when Beepeean forward Sam Veera used his upper body strength the find a way past the North Prarian defense and blasted the ball past Gio Manuel.

In the 34th North Prarian left back was awarded a yellow card for repeated fouling.

With few other chances in the first half, referee blew with North Prarie Leading 2-1.

GOAL Beepee made a quick start to the second half with a goal coming in the 49th minute.  Dirk Bolt managing to scramble the ball over the line after a corner.  2-2

GOAL Beepees play could not be described as top quality, but the long ball tactic allowed Sam Veera to slot home hus second goal in the 54th. 2-3

GOAL North Prarie didnt give up and scored a goal with a header after a cross  floated in by Rios was met with a glancing blow by Terrell Miller in the 58th. 3-3

GOAL: Niklaus Malade scored from a free kick to make the score 3-4 to Beepee in the 62nd minute.
In the 77th minute, Malade took a heavy knock and was substituted for Scott Kirk.

Kirk was a surprise scorer after finding space inside the box in the 84th minute to make the score 3-5.  With only six minutes to go the Beepeean fans were sent into rapture.  Surely they couldnt loss from here?

Throwing everyone forward, the North Prarian side fought to find goals.   On the 88th minute Beepee goalie Shep was shown a yellow card for time wasting.

In the 93rd minute North Prarie scored a late consolation goal when Terrell Miller walked the ball past an exhausted Beepeean defence for a tap in.

Despite the late goal Beepee held on for a remarkable victory.
