BEEPEE GET BRONZE IN THE PRARIE CLASSIC
BEEPEE BEAT MIDAND 5-0
Baseball Beepee has topped off an incredible tournament with a 5-0 humbling of the Midandian team.
It was anticipated that Prime Minister David Andrews would be in attendance. However, Andrews', who hasn't been seen in public since the 18th, did not show.
Despite this, the Beepeean team performed well and Homer Unn and his squad celebrated into the night at Up in the Air Park in Durham. The 3000 or so travelling support cheered as their victorious display.
Unn professed in the on-field interview after the game that the tournament had exceeded his expectations.
"The squad's been brilliant!", he yelled in jubilation.
Unn was also awarded with best Manager Award for the tournament.
A clearly emotional Unn stating "this award's going right on my mantle at home" whilst choking back the tears.
In further recognition of their hard work, the over-achieving Beepee squad also won the underdogs award. Bowie Baysocks who accepted the award for the team beamed that his teammates worked so well together and dedicated the award to Dan McManus. McManus who missed the second half of the tournament due to illness.
What adventure will Baseball Beepee get up to next.
