I think it would be better to keep the last 4-5 spots in the Contenders series for a new nation that might want to join mid season (such as Recuecn last season might have been able to do)

Look at our current system. in a 36-car field, winner gets 40 points, second place gets 35, third gets 34, and so on. If you expand it to 40 cars, winner would have to get more than 40, while second now gets 39, third gets 38 and so on.

The Tourist Guide for Val Z is up! As for the interdimensional portals, I have to take some liberty, sorry I didn't ask earlier. Figured that opening it in the middle of the sea would fare better instead of on Jebslund's surface landmass.

With luck, and with time, I should be able to write the race in Jebslund. I got other unfinished business. ^^;

Did I not specify the Charter was supposed to be for 1 race only?

I've been busy with other projects now noticed the Qualifying results shows Gwinnett and Walters still swapped.

Eh, yer fine. Chalk it up to improper form filing for inmperial airspace clearance or summat.
Jebslund is a nation of kerbals ruled by Emperor Jebediah Kerman. We reject tyranny, believing that rights should be protected, though we also believe said rights end where the rights of others begin.
Shockingly, we *do* use NS stats, with the exception of lifespan.

You wouldn't have to do anything. Most motorsports series don't distinguish between the driver who finished 36th and the one who finished 40th. This could easily be one of them. There are a plethora of options. For how you could handle expansion of field size, none of which are "it can't be done." If that were the answer then it probably would have already been the response from the host

In the long run, I might allow it.
But I am hesitant, because the purpose of the Contenders Series was to address this situation before the season started. I posted on several occasions close to the end of signups that it was going to be hard for drivers to qualify in to the main series and that it might be better to be in the second tier series. But in many circumstances, drivers were still kept in the main series knowing this difficulty and being forewarned about it a few times, and the contenders series sat there with about 20 entries. Then, because of that, we started putting adding drivers into the secondary series to fill it. Now, if we start letting drivers drop down, then the secondary series starts to get too large, and that was not the intention of it.

The Contenders series is also starting to get its good feel going now with the drivers who were there from the beginning.

My idea is that teams can move a driver down the Contender Series; however, they must promote a driver from the Contender Series in order to fill the place left by the relegated driver. Like a swap of drivers between the two series.

I'm sorry if this was too late, but yeah, I have no special Open Charter driver for this time. With that said, if possible, and if Jolyn did not make it again, I would like her to use that Open Charter slot.

It will be given to Jolyn, then.
If she does make it, we can allow a 7th driver to qualify in.

This is an idea, or if one of the cars in the Contender Series has their nation CTE it can create an open.

This is something I would be willing to do, to allow the one-off rides, or if someone really wanted to go full time from here to the end, they could propose to have an entry for the series.

So, looking at the results, is any sort of "ride-buying" allowed in the NSSCRA? Just curious.

Well the Everlong series has its first multi-race winner of season which means there is at least one spot open to points your way into the playoffs

And I'm pretty sure that there is ride-buying( read Hossem Nasri)

What Hap meant is that, since Bronson DNQed, is it possible for him to take someone's place in the field? Let's say it's Hawking. Would the 54 get replaced by the 8, or will Bronson be driving the 54? And who gets the points?

That's exactly it. I'm wondering if it would be OK if Team Blue bought the Scott Hawking ride and put Frank Bronson in the 54 for this race.

Well you could have them switch mid-race( like what Dale Jr. did in 2007 when he finished the race in Kyle Busch's car or what happened when Denny Hamlin got put in the #20 JGR Nationwide series car due to contractual obligations and Aric Almirola was still credited with the win even though Hamlin finshed the race)

If they did that, Scotty still has the points, and Bronson doesn't want that.

Happened with Bronson himself too last season, except he's the one getting swapped out.

Side note: with Bronson doing a hell of a job despite being unchartered (until today's DNQ), if he ever wins, does he automatically get a charter?

Also on a side note I kinda wonder if that 2007 Texas incident influnced Dale Jr. going to Hendrick

And I kinda wonder if Kyle stayed at Hendrick and it was Dale who took the 18 for JGR.

And another side note, as much as I think Kyle is great, he was not why I picked #18 in NSSCRA. That was my father's number in rec league basketball.

#3 was not for Sr, it was the smallest available when I joined the series. I wanted #13, but Jeb had it.

#46 was just an unusual number I liked the look of.

#19 was for sequential purposes, but also my high school buddy's birthday.

#20 was for sequential purposes.

In NNW, I just liked #21, #33 and #99. Used #9 last season instead because it was close enough to what I wanted.

Paul Nystrom's #25 was because of a generated stud I had in Madden with the same name and number. It was taken when I put him in the series hence he started with #21.

Ricky Lee's #60 was just another thing I liked. He would have been #99 but I thought maybe Banija will return.

I got three things hitting me at once now: Exam tomorrow, a really bad stomachache, and my arms were sore from yesterday's not-too-proper exercise. Last one was just brought upon by myself. :P

So err... I can only probably RP after tomorrow's exam is over, might need to merge Jebslund's RP and my venue together. Sorry to Sherpa as well for the delayed confirmation regarding IRACT.

A couple things here:

First, I don't know what happened with xkoranate, or perhaps I didn't click a save button in a certain spot, but for Xanneria, the 10 is in this race and not the 12. When I color code on the qualify list, I really do just look at where the *Q*'s are, so if xkoranate didn't save the edit of my removing the "Q" from the 10 before, or if I thought I saved it and didn't, then I am not going to notice when color coding. I'm scratching my head over this one because I vividly remember fixing the *Q* for Xanneria's #10 in this upcoming race.

Now, as far as the Frank Bronson situation, in thinking about this, there is some precedent here for the general situation described and that is when Hampton Island had Lexi Patterson run with them a few times after the Jebslund pull out, and those points still went to Lexi even though it was in the 34. If this swap were executed, the 54 would get the owner points, but Frank would get the driver points. Since Frank is starting the race, it is not the same situation as the RL NASCAR scenarios that were brought up.
