Ahhh... VZ would be the official one, but it's two letters.

VLZ will be fine. Valentine Z.
Or VEZ (Valentine Z). I personally will go with VEZ. :D

Rinzi Zakhilwal is a rookie and I probably would have called Qiang's car the Khamdo TMW instead of Guilin Tourism Board.

I like that reference, thanks for that Esmerel. :D I have no problem with the social network handle or what she said; I quite like it. ^^

I also like how Gwen Tracer Allison's name kind of spelt out GTA, though this was by mere coincidence from me. No relation with the game. :P

Back on topic. It's amazing how Gwen got fans in other countries that quickly. It's just her third race. Maybe they were drawn to her brightly colored car?

Also. there may be questions why my rankings are different from Esmerel's. In case of ties, I go 1,2,2,3,4 not 1,2,2,4,5.

I think it's more of because she is literally sticking out compared to other racers, at a staggering 10 feet. :P

A little bit of trivia: Apart from Clarissa's #7, Jolyn's #15 and Gwen's #31 are based on the colors of the same numbers from Daytona USA. It was one of those arcade games that always sticks with me.

Here's how the cars are like in that game:

The #10 for Clarissa which was scrapped due to a number conflict. I felt like I should have at least went with the same color scheme of green-and-pink, but the Valentine Z flag itself has that color, so I went with my favorite color combo for #7.

It's the same as the arcade racer, except that in those days, it got the dreaded "home port treatment" whereby the Saturn and PC version were far too inferior.

I'm also glad that my drivers are moving up, generally. From 30-40 positions, to getting 20-30, and now to getting Top 10s in some of the segments. ^^

Val, I wasn't sure about your people knowing different languages, so I tried to leave it open-ended whether the language barrier made conversation impossible or if they just kind of went "Oh, oops," and switched languages. If they speak Chinese, that actually opens up more RP possibilities about them talking to Wang or Zakhilwal.

Gwen doesn't know any other language. Clarissa and Jolyn can, though the former might be a bit awkward because of her machine-based nature.

I could let Jolyn come in after the Kobold Tools race and talk to them in Chinese if you want to.

Traditional or Simplified?

Don't feel like you have to, if there's nothing in particular your drivers want to talk to mine about. But if there is something they really want to talk to my characters about, or if they want to do something like help Wang's pit crew look for him, they can do that.

OOCly, I prefer simplified Chinese, but ICly both kinds are used in the Sherpa Empire. I think Qiang and Zakhilwal prefer simplified, but Wang is a traditional characters kind of guy, and they also have different dialects when speaking. Qiang's dialect is quite difficult for Mandarin-speakers to understand. But we usually should be translating everything to English for RP purposes, so it will be more readable for other players.

Ahh good, good. Yeah, Clarissa is quite a chatty one, so I can see her speaking in Chinese just a little bit. Just the basics, like how's the weather and all.

And OOCly, I'm actually am glad that we will still translate to English for the RP, because I can't speak Chinese at all. :P I'll just pull a Google Translate if we are to write in the actual language.

Let me share some trivia too but regarding my numbers.

#3 was chosen because it was the smallest number available when I signed up in NSSCRA 6. This is both the IC and OOC explanation. Stiller isn't too picky with numbers.

#18 - my father used to play pickup basketball. When the different teams in town organized a tournament, that was his number. IC, this is Brooke's number in KYLE (KURT Youngsters' LEague, the "Xfinity" equivalent to KURT, or the Kanyean Unified Racing Tournament. See what I did there?)

#46 - I always liked this number. Not too common but not too obscure. IC, Alvarez won her first go-kart race in this number and has chosen it whenever possible as kind of a "lucky charm".

Of course I'm happy that these three numbers also belong to three great racers (Dale Sr., Kyle Busch, Cole Trickle)

#19 - HS best friend's birthday. Also creates continuity with #18 above. IC, Sage Caldwell inherited the number from Philip West, and West drove the #19 in both KURT and KYLE.

For the Norwesties:

#21 - Just another number I like. IC, Nystrom had to settle for something close to the #25 he drives in KURT, because that was taken.

#99 - Highest possible number. This is both the IC and OOC explanation.

Xu is happy with #99 since it's also a good number in Chinese numerology. 8 and 88 are the most lucky, but 9 and 99 are lucky too.

13 is my lucky number, 30 was Lexi's NSSCRA 7 number, 1 for ego reasons, and 69 because my inner 13-year-old occasionally likes to be catered to.

My favorite aunt is born on 1969, so I have a convenient reason when i get called out when choosing 69.

And I bet numerologists are having a fit whenever Qiang does well in #44.

Qiang is actually sort of uneasy about using that number, but it wasn't originally his, and it's become tradition now.

4- No real meaning.
11- My jersey number in high school soccer.
27- A good luck charm number for me.

No IC reasoning for the choices.

Saint Kanye wrote:Let me share some trivia too but regarding my numbers.

My numbers were a couple of reasons.

I enjoyed (and still do) doing the career modes on the earlier EA Sports NASCAR games. Most specifically, Thunder 2003/2004, and Chase for the Cup 2005. Chase for the Cup 2005 had a lot of numbers you could choose for your drivers (including #19 even though Jeremy Mayfield was using it since, fun fact, he was supposed to be on the cover, but then Harvick got to be on the cover, so Mayfield threw a hissy fit and wanted himself removed from the game entirely), but the Thunder games only had the following numbers to choose:

53, 56, 63, 64, 82, 83, 86, and 100-199. Despite the fact that several numbers not included in the available list weren't used by anybody in the game. Probably licensing reasons or somewhat.

I always picked 82 as my number in Thunder 2004, and 83 in 2005. This is also where my driver names sprung up since as I got older it felt more awkward to use my real name in the game and instead I focused on creating characters.

Combine this with liking close together numbers, as well as remembering fondly the mostly failed Red Bull NASCAR team (it was cool to have the connection especially during the Red Bull era of F1) and 64 turning into 84, and there you go.

Not really an IC explanation though aside from Phoenician noticing a section of the numbers from 0-99 available in a row. It just happened to be my favorite numbers to use as well.
