About the Fhulghamous Peninsula
The Fhulghamous (Full-Gah-Moose) Peninsula is a colony of the Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft located in the region of Esportiva. First colonized by Fleftics after rumors of massive diamond deposits in the area, the Fhulghamous has now become the largest contributor of diamonds and precious gems to the Fleftic economy and industry. 20 million people call the Fhulghamous home, and 10 million of those are in the colonial capital of Port Thimpodopoulos. Forests and mountains dominate the landscape of the colony while beaches can be found in and around Thimpodopoulos Bay and on the esplanade of Port Thim (the local short name for Port Thimpodopoulos).

About Copper Cuprum
The Chiefdom of Copper Cuprum is a tiny island nation which was discovered in 1914 by Fleftic Navy warships searching for the wife and daughter of Rufus Wole Mensah, the president of Abanhfleft at the time. Copper Cuprum rose to prominence in the sporting scene through their peculiarly gruesome pre-game ritual in which they slit the throat of a live chicken and spread the blood in a circle around the players. While rugby league is the most popular sport in Copper Cuprum, association football also has a notable following in the country. In fact, the Copperite National Football League is the second-oldest sporting competition in the Chiefdom, behind only the Copperite Rugby League.

Experience
Depending on the outcome of my other host bid in the Handball World Cup, this will be either the first or the second ever time that I will host any sort of tournament in NS Sports, but I do have a domestic newswire up and running and have already scorinated one to two seasons among my various leagues and sports, both for Abanhfleft and for my puppets. Also, I have been active in NS Sports since 2014, and playing in this forum is what has kept me active and coming back to NationStates for all the four years that have passed since I first joined.

I will use the latest version of Xkoranate. RP bonus will be generous and cumulative. Quality will be favored over quantity. The latest rankings for the Campionato Esportiva will be used as well.

Format
There will be a group stage followed by a knockout stage. Following the trend of past tournaments, I will award three points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss. In the event that there is a tie between two or more teams, here are the tiebreakers.

In the event that both teams are still tied after all of the tiebreakers have been exhausted, I will hold an actual playoff that will be considered part of the IC tournament.

The knockout stage will be single-elimination with a third-place playoff. Teams will be seeded according to group positions, then points and tiebreakers as necessary. No teams from the same group may face each other in the first knockout stage round.

Currently we are at 27 signups. One more signup will give me 28 nations for a format of 4 groups of 7 with the top four of each group advancing to the knockouts. However, if we can get to 32 then this will be preferred as it gives me 8 groups of 4 with the top two of each group advancing to the knockout stages. But if we get even more signups after that, I can amend as necessary.
