Some further questions I have for the bidder:
1. Why no RP bonus for the playoffs?
2. More importantly, please explain what RP bonus is and how it will be applied in the scorinator?

That last question can also be asked towards Azadeshia and Northwest Kalactin.

1. To make it more fair in the playoffs.
2. I am new to this, so I do not know fully myself, but RP bonus is a score bonus added on when nations do roleplays about their team.

How is that more fair? An RP bonus doesn't guarantee how the game will go, but people who put some effort into RPing should have better chances, same as people who play hard and are conscientious about getting enough rest and doing their warm-ups before the game have better chances in an RL game.

I am new to sports, so please excuse me if I am making this more confusing than it should be with my own n00bishness.

Well, I would apply a RP bonus during the group stages, but during the Playoffs I think that it should be as equal as possible, so it gives nations who may not have written RP's a better chance to win. Other nations put this same policy in, why is everyone asking questions about mine?

Because you're the only one bidding for this event that is saying no bonus for the playoff instead of just having it degrade some.

According to your bid, you still have yet to download the scorinator program. By reading this, I am concerned, because I am assuming that this means you have no scorinating experience. Is my assumption correct, and if so, what other experience do you believe makes you qualified to be a host?

North Prarie,
Welcome to NS Sports! Bidding to host a competition as large as this as a new user is a very ambitious task. However, you have put together a well-prepared bid meeting the minimum requirements, and it will be put up to vote.

Having said that, because (most) people here have not heard of your nation before, it should be expected that you will have to answer more questions about your bid so that they could have confidence in your ability to host. In my personal opinion, I do believe that you truly want to do a good job in a hosting capacity, but the lack of experience is showing. Usually users get their first hosting experience by doing something small, such as a 6-8 team invitational type tournament. Or, they co-host with an experienced nation. You might want to consider getting that experience first.

Now to answer about why you need RP bonus in the playoffs.... here's what I want you to do..... Search for the World Baseball Classic 41 and watch the virtual RP-war that myself and Super-Llamaland had in the finals. Sure, we were having fun with it, but because we each wanted to win our fifth title before the other, we were stopping at nothing to get as much RP bonus as we could. Can you imagine how less fun that would have been if there was no RP bonus in the playoffs? Everything about it was a fair, we were top-ranked teams who stopped at nothing to try to win the tournament from the first day until the very end.

He never asked a question and no, I am not withdrawing my bid.

He asked why you’re not using RP Bonus for the playoffs in spite of prior history of it leading to excellent RP. Why do you think it’s a good idea not to? How is that “fair”? And if he didn’t make that question clear, I am.

Thanks for clarifying your bid is not withdrawn. Good luck in host voting.

I can see how NP was confused about what you were asking. Newman gave his thoughts on the RP bonus thing, but it was Darmen who asked the original question.

With 13 votes in, we can officially declare one bid a winner, as it is impossible for another option to win at this time even if all other Council members voted for another option.

Therefore, the final vote tally for hosting World Baseball Classic 42 is as follows:

Free Republics- 13
Azadeshia and Northwest Kalactin- 0
North Prarie- 0
Abstain- 0
Re-open Bids- 0

Therefore, Free Republics will be the host of World Baseball Classic 42. All decisions regarding the tournament now belong to him.
Good luck!

First, I want to thank the voters for voting for me and send commiserations to the other bidders. I know how it feels to be on the other end of landslide votes as well, so I encourage the 3 of you to not let this discourage you from bidding for tournaments in the future.

Regarding the tournament, it appears that there are 50 signups at present (though this is unofficial until I independently verify the count later). Since I would prefer to allow more people to sign up instead of kicking out a nation that might be RPed, I will close the signups once we hit 54. I believe there are 4 more spots in the tournament unless somebody's signup was missed.
Why I left NS Sports

I've counted the signups and independently confirmed Newmanistan's count. That means there are 4 spots left, potentially 3...
