Multiverse Fighting Championships

Welcome to the Multiverse Fighting Championships, the leading international MMA organization in the multiverse. This is the place to post RPs and results for MFC-sanctioned fights. It is also the place where you may post bids to ICly host future fight cards in an arena in your nation (hosting fight cards is purely IC and does not involve any scorination). Purely OOC posts should be placed in the Signup Thread. Nations may begin posting as soon as they sign up but as there must always be an even number of fighters in each weight class new fighters will be added in pairs. The next fight card will always be contained in the second post of this thread. Scorinations will generally be on Saturdays but the exact timing of cutoffs will vary depending upon my RL schedule. Should I need to scorinate any given week's card on a different day, I will announce the change in the Signup Thread.

Signups for the Multiverse Fighting Championships will always remain open, so if you wish to sign up please do so in the Signup Thread.

Multiverse Fighting Championships - Schedule

Previous Fight Card (February 10th, 2018)

Vannish Motors Arena (Emeros, Vangaziland)

The arena is home to the Emeros Zap, one of the top teams in the Vannish Basketball Organization, as well as hockey and indoor lacrosse teams. The crowd capacity is 23,500, located in the political capitol of the Vannish Mainlands. 'The Arena District' is the name for the surrounding area. Here you can find bars, cannabis lounges, coffee shops and restaurants. There are also office buildings and condominiums nearby.

Emeros was in the running for an international city sistership hosted by Britonisea. The city was not accepted because the winters were considered too cold. The people of Emeros will be welcoming to the stars. With Crossing Sun MMA having so many commercial ties, the MFC is getting a great deal of promotion throughout the Vannish Empire. This means fighters will be recognized as they move throughout the streets, at least by fight fans.

State-of-the-art gyms from Overglade University, Vangaziland's most prestigious college, will be made available for training. Fighters will be kept in hotels in the Arena District. Luxury buses will take fighters to Overglade's facilities, as well as other scheduled destinations.

Main Event Fight

Otto Bjorn (VNG) v. Dak Williams (NKO) for the MFC Heavyweight Championship

Coastal Fieldhouse (Blue Coast, Vangaziland)

The Blue Coast Mariners of the VBO play in The Fieldhouse in front of a capacity of 21,200 fans. Blue Coast is Vangaziland's party central, with it's southeastern beaches. The arena is a famous site, known for many historic concerts throughout the years. The arena was renovated in 2013 and boasts modern features. The beaches are about 30-45 minutes away, but there is plenty of entertainment in the nearby district.

Mainland Vangaziland's beaches have waters too cold to swim in for most of the year, but the vibrant nightlife makes Blue Coast a true travel destination. The Fieldhouse is away from the most crowded downtown areas. It's located just west of Blue Coast University, unofficially voted Vangaziland's #1 party school. The city's beachside cannabis clubs are some of the world's most famous.

Expect an eclectic crowd of tourists, business people, and students to make up much of the crowd. The locals have made their arena known for loud cheering boosted by world-class acoustics. Expect the same, with raucous fans expected to ratchet up noise levels on fight night.

As with Emeros University, private training facilities will be made available at BCU.

Royal Square Garden (St. Petrus, West Saintland)

Royal Square Garden, located in St. Petrus, is the most prestigious arena in West Saintland. It was the home arena of West Saintland's National Basketball Team back in the day. The arena seats 17,467. St. Petrus is the capitol of West Saintland, with a population that isn't much larger than the seating capacity of RSG.

Here is some out of date IC information on Saintland, before the split into East Saintland and West Saintland. West Saintland is now run by Feministvs Sanctvsterra and their version of the Church of Saintland now worship "Goddess" and regards Maria, not Iesus, as the savior. I would provide a link to up-to-date IC information but it appears that I never hosted anything with post-split Saintland. It would be reasonable to expect the West Sanctii fans to cheer for female fighters in mixed-gender fights.

Heavyweight Fights

Otto Bjorn [VNG] v. Hala Rajadev [AZD]
Kiomriad nos Veltahir [VLS] v. Derlinnus Dervel [BBF]
Robert Strong [VKL] v. Wlodzimierz Wieczorkowski [UAR]

This is the last reserved post. You may begin posting RPs and, if you are interested in hosting future fight cards in your nation may post IC host bids to do so. You may also post IC host bids even if you don't have any fighters participating in the MFC. I will make an effort in the future to have fighters compete on their home soil whenever possible.

Hala Rajadev used to be the best wrestler in Azadeshia.People used to get scared of him and can't even look Hala straight into the eyes, but everything changed after a arogant wrestler, Harsh Padhi injured and almost killed Hala.Hala still cannot forget what happened to his wrestling career. After he recovered from his injury he went to the gym to meet his coach and manager.Hala still remembers what his manager said, "You are weak! You are useless! You are worthless! Now you are all alone!Have a great time!".Hala was almost done, but he did not give up.He found himself a great manager, Daas Gurnani.Hala then met his new coach, Om Viswan.Hala Rajadev will now fight in the Multiverse Fighting Championships (MFC), Hala's gonna go hard!

Hala Rajadev just got a new theme song for his entrance. This song matches him as how hard he worked to get back on track.

While riding around in a used Vannish Motors Roland, the blue tooth sound beeped, meaning a call was coming in. Otto Bjorn was driving, fighter for Crossing Suns. Not knowing who called, he hit the accept button on the dash.

The phone call was automatically sent over speakers in the car for a hands-free call.

"It's me, Bobby Jack." This was Otto's agent and promoter. he was supposed to be the new addition that would make Crossing Sun a household name.

Jack was calling from his estate in Southline Wrexwic.

"Jack, what's the news on the fight", asked Bjorn.

"You got a good draw.. It'll boost our Indian market. You're fighting Hala Rajadev from Azadeshia."

"What's the word on him?" Bjorn was looking for insider info.

"He's an intense fighter", said the agent. "He's definitely intense."

Otto pulled his luxury sedan into a parking lot and pulled his cellphone out of the cup holder. He looked up the fighter's name. On seeing images of the fighter, he said, "I see what you mean." Almost as if angered, "Why did you get me such a tough opponent? He's mad, isn't he?"

Bobby Jack laughed with a deep chuckle. On his end of the phone, he ashed a cannabis cigar and adjusted his sunglasses. "I didn't officially have a role.. I may have put in a word though. C'mon! It'll be a good fight. I bet the Prince will watch."

"What's his style?" Bjorn asked, himself being of jiu-jitsu and boxing.

"He's a wrestler. One of the top in Azadeshia."

"Scrappy guy", Bjorn said. "Listen here.. Thanks for the update. I'm out here getting lunch at the Sandwich Shack."

"Okay... Well, here we go.. The Multiverse Fighting Championships.. Good luck!"

"Yeah man, meatball sub... Waiting.. Later."

The most hyped Vannish fighter would be Linda Henshmen. She first fought internationally in the Ilysea Amphitheater Classic. Linda would walk away from that tournament with the title belt, defeating Hillary Sanders from Quebec in the title bout.

She would fight in a second boxing tournament, the Multiverse Boxing Organization, which utilized Olympic rules. Linda is known for her technical style and did well here. She made it to the title bout and almost walked away as a two belt holder. She was defeated in the Final Match by Abigail Kaldwell of Wrexwic, the Vannish satellite known as one of Vangaziland's "Outlands".

Linda restarted her battle for a second belt in the MFC, not in boxing, but in MMA, facing off against Grigor "Kamenni" Kohlrus for Fight 1. Round 1 was close, with each judge giving Henshmen the 10-9 advantage.

Linda kept her distance, using her footwork to move the fight around in a circle. Her strikes kept her opponent at bay, hitting him hard if he tried to come close. Known for boxing, Linda is well into adding Karate to her regimen. The addition of the additional style helped add power to Linda's strikes in fighting male opponents.

Karate styles added to her boxing stance resulted in several low kicks and knee strikes which help Linda keep her distance.

She still seemed more comfortable throwing her punches. The strategy came together to help Linda fight her type of aggressive fight.

The battle would end in the second round. Linda would step in with an uppercut which slid up through the arms and hit Grigor's chin. Her left came through with a straight right to the head before the fight was called off, not realizing the other fighter was knocked out until after the second strike.

"I think its about the best result I could have hoped for", Henshmen said after the fight. She had a few bruises and small, banded cuts from the short fight, but was in better shape than many fighters who go three rounds.

The result places Henshmen 3rd on the rankings table. She picks up +63 points for a close pursuit to Constadoulous and Schtenko with +90 each. Henshmen would face the latter, Schtenko, in Fight 2. Linda will face another talented female boxer. Aggression and momentum will be optimal in this female welterweight battle.

The Vannish media is a buzz with talk of the matchup, anxious to see which fighter will best the other in such a similarly equipped contest.

Image
Linda Henshmen showed up to her fight in a Karate gi, but fought in a sports bra.

Linda is represented by Crossing Suns MMA, a fight organization which brings Vangazi to international fighting events. Vanni Wireless is one of her main sponsors. The MFC cemented her status as a wealthy individual, landing a big contract to stay on board the Crossing Suns family. As usual in Vannish sports, her salary was kept private, but it's hinted that it was dozens of millions.

Marcus Frankerssen, the Vangazi in the Light Heavyweight division, defeated his opponent by submission. The fight went all the way to the third round. 2 out of 3 judges had Mark losing the fight by one point going into the 3rd round.

Analysts would say Mark was clearly fighting a defensive strategy. His styles are less focused to striking than Henshmen. Frankerssen blends Judo and Jiu-jitsu into a fighting style of takedowns and ground game. He spent a lot of the first two rounds fighting from the guard, but being out struck, getting hit more than he struck.

"I'm still improving my striking", he said after the match. "But in the end, the strategy is what's important. We're still refining it."

Otto Bjorn, the Vannish Heavyweight fought Hala Rajadev of Azadeshia. It turned out to be the closest of the Crossing Suns' fights. It went to the last bell with a score of 30 - 27 to Otto. He's been focusing on Karate and Jiu-jitsu, with the big man being one of the more balanced in his style.

This helped lead to the back and forth between Otto and Hala, as the Vangazi was not afraid to exchange punches or tussle with the wiry Indian.

In the end, Otto just seemed a little stronger. He was able to win the fight for body control against the wrestler while going strike for strike. With the score so close after 2 rounds, there was a real belief that the fight could go either way. Many wondered if either fighter would tap or get KO'd. Neither did, each proving to be tough, with both large fighters going the distance.

Chip Maydress, a host of a show called Last Minute spoke on Bjorn with the following: "The fact that Otto could go a full match against a wrestler says good things about him. Wrestlers are looking to get you to tap.. It says a lot if you can not only finish the match, but win it against tough grapplers. He wasn't just dodging punches or clenching. Hala was trying to choke him out.. Constantly."

Strong Talk
The personal blog of Robert Strong, worlds greatest warrior*

Hello!
Many of you may be wondering what I'm going to say to you today, after all people have been coming up to me. They've been going like 'Rob, you can't be the worlds greatest warrior, you got knocked out.' What I say to them is that I didn't get knocked out, and this is how it happened.
What happened is, this competition was a fix. It was controlled by people who didn't appreciate the greatness of me! Robert Strong! As everyone knows, I am the most handsome, strongest, biggest man in the world, and they were all sad that they're not as manly as me because no one is as manly as me, because I am Robert Strong. So they set up this fight with like an actor, a big strong guy they've payed to pretend to be a fighter, but he's not really a fighter he's one of their shills. I enter the ring to fight this shil but all of a sudden the tele cameras go black, and I know something's wrong. Well, naturally being Robert Strong I knock the fucker out, Clean out I tell you, on the floor! He's not moving for a while, let me tell you, he's probably dead, probably dead, I don't care. But the point is it's him on the floor, not me, Robert Strong. I'm still standing, not on the floor, like him.
So all the people they cheer for Robert Strong, who is me, and I put my arms up. I can put my arms up because I'm still standing, not like him, he's on the floor. Because he's just been knocked out, by me! Yeah! Clean out!
But when I go back, they've told everyone I lost! That I got knocked out, me, Robert Strong. Well I'll be putting in an official complaint because they messed with the tele cameras and said that Robert Strong got knocked out, which is impossible because no one knocks out Robert Strong. You got that, motherfuckers? Noone! And certainly no stinking dirty foreigners with silly names.
Message ends, and to all you corporate shills, go fuck yourselves!

*title of greatest warrior bestowed by Robert Strong.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles." - Jeff Cooper

A quick combination of kicks to the body had just hit the woman in the red protective gear, followed up by a jumping kick to the head. As she went down to the ground, Anna Kjaer briefly retreated as her opponent pulled herself to the feet and the screen next to the fighting area indicated an increased lead for the defending Savojar Championess. She politely waited as her younger opponent shook her head and got ready for the last 40 seconds of the fight. The referee opened the fight again, and she was right back in her zone. As Anna watched her opponent, a voice kept shouting the commands in her head, as if the voice already knew what was going to happen in advance. Block, block again, advance and punch - one more point, 18 seconds to go. Anna kept her opponent on arm's length, focusing on blocking what had to be blocked, and waited for the end. Finally, the referee ended the fight. She had done it again - for the third time in a row, she made the final.

Once she calmed down from her fight, another woman approached her and congratulated Anna kindly. She looked deep into the other woman's eyes with her hypnotising eyes, shaking her hand with iron determination. Petra Nakarainen froze a little as she felt the handshake of Anna Kjaer. The Sumani woman, one year younger than Anna, had combatted the champion the year before and lost in the final, and the year before when Kjaer had beaten her in the quarters. Now she was ready to take her revenge. But there was something about Anna Kjaer that just makes people go silent when she talks to them. Anna can freeze you. She politely nodded towards Petra and retreated to her bench, sitting down between her mother Frida and her coach, the Legend, Hanyun Larsson. Frida Kjaer hugged her daughter briefly and pat her on the back, then immediately leaving the field to Larsson, who showered her athlete in advice and criticism. Like a sponge, Anna sucked up everything Hanyun told her, trying to remember all the weaknesses of her opponent. But the truth was that she didn't need the advice. Anna Kjaer knew everything about Nakarainen, they had fought the finals or semifinals of almost every tournament in the last year. And she was ready.

The two women lined up for the fight that would decide about the status of Anna Kjaer. Would she remain the queen of Savojar taekwondo, a legend of the scene who would become only the sixth woman to achieve back-to-back national titles? Or would she become another footnote in the victor's list of the National Championships, losing to her big rival in this match. Anna breathed in the hot air of the building, and realised: She would not. The title was hers to take, and Petra would not be the one to take it from her. This was the feeling she needed, the trust in her abilities that she would not have this one title taken away from her. They went through all the formalities, and lined up for the fight. Anna looked into the eyes of her opponent, preparing for what was about to come. Nakarainen tried to hold her stare, but she could see in the eyes of her opponent that it made her uncomfortable, that it took her out of her routine. And that was what Anna wanted: not just victory, but the chance to show Petra Nakarainen that nobody was going to throw her off her throne. She held the gaze until a split second before the start of the fight - and then she launched forward, into the final of the Savojar Championship.
MT socialist (mostly) island state - Cultural mixture of Scandinavia, Finland and Russia -Exports iron, steel, silver and wood - Low fantasy in terms of animal species - Sports-loving - 22.8 million inhabitants.

The adjective is Savojar; Savojarnan is not a word!

Well there’s no doubt we are doing good in the MFC Dak has a chance at the MFC championship also does Joey Martin these two fighters have drawn great attention throughout the world although I think we can beat Linda hensham she already lost a fight and Joey has scored more points than her but she still has a better point difference now to Dak we can also beat gale sorokinwe have a so much better point difference than him meanwhile William Johnson is having a harder time he lost and he can’t win the MFC championship now.

Postby Vangaziland » Sat Jan 20, 2018 11:01 pm

The MFC receives much attention in Vangaziland because of the success of past Vannish fighters in other events. Crossing Sun MMA also has plenty of commercial ties. These big name sponsors bring lots of attention and money to the team. Early success in the MFC pushed some of these companies to speak on behalf of bringing MFC events to the Vannish mainland.

The Vannish Mainland is a progressive, first-world territory. While neither of these cities are the most populated, they make up some of the most spotlighted markets of the Empire's culture. Tourists in either location will have access to world class airports. High speed rail passes are also popular for those looking to explore deeper into the countryside.

Hotel and dining options will be numerous. More affordable hotels are further away from the city center. Restaurants can range from fast food to fine and family dining. Expect the food to be spicy. Bars are a popular nightlife getaway. Several beers have won AVBF awards sponsored by Neu Engollon, including 'Vangaziland Red'.

Cannabis is also legal and can be bought everywhere from special stores, to coffee shops and pub-like lounges.

It's easy to get around both cities, with extensive bus and rail networks in place. Emeros is the Empire's political capitol and is home to tons of history and culture. Blue Coast is one of the world's tourist hotspots, with ocean-side locations that keep the beach fun throughout the winter.

Vangaziland is known for its rabid sports fans. The arenas will be filled to capacity. More impressively, the cities will swell around the fight with cannabis clubs and bars also packing with fight fans. A carnival like atmosphere is expected to develop, especially in Blue Coast.

Vannish Motors Arena - Emeros, Vangaziland
Image

Coastal Fieldhouse - Blue Coast, Vangaziland

Image

Strong talk!
[u]The personal blog of Robert Strong, worlds greatest warrior*[/b]

Ello everyone,
Well, that's it proven then. Now I managed to get a good lot of loyal Havenic camera men into the arena, the corporate shills knew that they couldn't outmuscle Strong, because Strong is just stronger than all. They knew that they couldn't pull the wool over the peoples eyes another time, because the people will just fight back! And that was because, when they put their next corporate shill in front of me, he ended up on the floor, crying for his dear old mummy for all the world to see.
It was never a contest, really, because Derlinnus Durvel (winner of shittest name of the year award) was as shit a fighter as his parents were at naming their children. He wavered under my amazing enslaught that made the crowd fear for their very lives: surely I was going to come through the barriers and eat them? That's just how strong I am! Though I've not ate a person in the last 3 years, so I'm safe from the sickness. For a while.
Anyway, Derlinnus didn't know that and so he was crying for mercy from about a minute in. But is it strong to give mercy? Do the strong give quarter? No! And am I strong? Yes, it's in my name! Robert Strong! So did I give Mercy? No! I knocked him out! Clean out, on the floor. He was crying for his mummy by the end but I still put that final blow in to spark him clean out, maybe he's with his dear old mummy now, if she's dead. I hope she's dead, it's all that corporate shills deserve. And his dad, and the rest of his worthless foreign family: but not him. I hope he's crying. Everyone who challenges my strength should be left crying, and that goes for the overgrown Velsturman freak I've got nest week. Fucking yay, aren't we all so lucky?

Henshmen Fails

One of the most hyped events of the Alpine Republic's fight night was the battle between Maria Schtenko and Linda Henshmen. Maria is a multi-gold medalist of the Olympiad. She's the quintessential Havenic fighter, skilled in multiple combat sports including shooting. She's a competitive weightlifter. All of this defines the Achilles' heel to the Vannish female.

Henshmen's weakness has consistently been strong female fighters. She made it all the way to the Championship bout of the MBO where she had pummeled her opponents. A scrappy boxer named Abby Kaldwell from the Vannish satellite of Wrexwic stole the title by getting in close and going after Linda.

Schtenko and Henshmen faced off at Southern Airlines Arena in Oglethorpe.

The Vangazi started off fighting a defensive fight. She had a quicker step and moved to keep the fight's circle going in the stand up. Both fighters are top-rated boxers. They both also train in other styles, with Schtenko training in other forms for the Olympiad.

One of the styles Linda trains in is Karate. She used a few kicks to throw off the pace and keep distance. A good deal of the fight would resemble a boxing match, though there were times things went to the ground.

At the end of the first round, Linda was down one point with each judge. The second round would also end 9 - 10 unanimously.

Linda had to get a cut above her eye patched up before the 3rd round. She came out motivated, though clearly fatigued. Soon after the 3rd bell, the Vangazi scored a takedown on Maria, out hustling her one last time.

The battle of punch frequency was close, though slightly tilted in Maria Schtenko's favor. The Havenic was landing more punches, but the Vangazi was not far behind. It was a close fight to the wire. Towards the end, it became a frantic stamina battle of endurance.

Linda turned to clenching and attempted several more takedowns, but failed to score any more clean ones. She would land knees to the ribcage when in the clench in addition to her upper body striking.

The Vangazi fought a clean fight, ending it bruised and cut but in good spirits. Her late fight spark led one judge to give the round 10 - 9 in Henshmen's favor. It still wouldn't be enough to win the fight. The crowd was on its heels for the close match. At some points they had cheered for blood, egging each fighter to go for knock out blows.

The fight took on a technical nature, with both fighters having the background in Olympic style boxing.

In the days following the fight, the Vannish sports media exploded over the fight. Many want to see a rematch. The first step will be Linda needing to beat Joey Martin. From there, it will remain to be seen how she will stack against the top 2. This will not be an easy fight. Martin said he plans on coming out to the fight swinging. He's got a chance to fight for the belt if he beats Linda.

Maria will face Anna Kjaer in a fight that could potentially result in a title. The fight is expected to have huge marketable appeal throughout Vangaziland because female athletes always make good stories. Fan blogs are alive with debate about the two styles.

Anna came out really motivated last week. Would she do the same? If so, she could seriously make a run for the belt. Several Vannish analysts favored the lady from Savojarna over the Havenic fighter if Anna puts forth a similar effort. Still, Maria was Maria.

The fights will be shown over cable throughout the Empire, not needing special order packages to be viewed. The MFC has secured broadcast rights at great expense to the Vannish networks, but its money well worth it. Advertisers are lining up to buy ad space for an event which the Vangazi people will be really interested in.

Besides the battle being hyped between Anna & Maria and Linda's climb back towards both of them, Vannish fans would tune in to watch two of their fighters take a potential shot at a belt. Both Otto Bjorn and Mark Frankerssen scored first round knockouts to move to 2-0 in the MFC.

With noise building around the MFC, Jhalpharezi's most competitive fighting league decided to put a team together of some of their most competitive fighters. The 'Banmipur Association' is where fighters specializing in the ancient Indian martial art of Jhal origin come to fight. The league does not pay high salaries. It's a bare bones collection of organized fight nights which take place across Jhalpharezi.

Success can still bring fame. Dev Kumar Rai is the 235 heavyweight who specializes in Banmipur. The big man specializes in the ancient style of Aksingdi, a type of grappling. Expect Kumar Rai to go for flashy takedowns and to fight the battle of positioning. Banmipur is mostly a striking based form of martial arts, so Rai will fall back on the Bengali martial arts form. The art form is named after the place where it arose.

Jaidev Bhonda is fighting in the MFC's Light Heavyweight division. He's a purist in Chatphu, the striking form of the martial art. He's known for a flashy style of feints and quick strikes in the brutal Jhal fighting league. Signing him to the MFC team took the most coaxing. As such, he's being paid the highest salary on the team.

The trio decided to enter as a team to share resources and band national attention together into one focused product.

Hari Shome is fighting in the Welterweight division for what's known as the Jhalpharezi Fight Club in the MFC. He's known more for his quick recovery and endurance. Shome has studied the art from a young age and is very technical. There are times he can lack the initiative. He hesitates. This makes him the one with the most to prove. He was also the cheapest to sign.

The trio should be a good representation of Jhalpharezi's ancient culture and fighting spirit.

Banmipur was first developed by royal guards and monks who protected early Jhal kings starting in the mid 1500s. Speed and stealth were their biggest assets. They trained to wear armor and use polearms in warfare. In the North, Banmipur monks would help fight off Chinese incursions in skirmishes.

Anna Kjaer and Petra Nakarainen lined up opposite each other, going through the rituals of the taekwondo conventions. Anna's mind, however, was entirely focused on the fight that was going to follow. Six minutes, three rounds, two women. The referee opened the fight and Anna launched forward, trying to get the initiative right away. She tried to land a quick kick to her opponent's body, but Petra Nakarainen saw it coming and blocked with her arm. Knowing exactly that the other woman hated to be knocked back early on, Anna took a step back and tried to double up with more kicks on the Sumani in front of her. Nakarainen moved right and left dodging and blocking the storm of attack that Anna rained onto her, and managed to withstand it. The hall was silent as Anna Kjaer backed up a little, seeing out what the taller Nakarainen would do. She briefly saw a picture in her head: Nakarainen slowing down the fight, scaling up a short Ejanan fighter - her semifinal opponent, Krista Gylfisdottir. Again, Petra didn't attack right away. She feigned an attack on the left, but stayed outside range. In Anna's mind, Nakarainen waited for Gylfisdottir's cover to slip, to follow up with a body kick and a jump, aiming for the head of the Ejanan.

Anna let her cover sink just a bit on the left side, keeping her eye on the leg of Nakarainen. She shifted her weight almost immediately and went for the first kick, expecting her opponent to block it and giving her an opening for the kick to the head. Too predictable, Anna thought. She blocked the leg and ducked immediately under Nakarainen's swinging leg, getting back up and landing a quick kick to the side and a punch to the chest of her opponent before the referee stopped the fight to note the points and separate the combattants. She tried to read Nakarainen's face. You are insecure. You expected this to work, didn't you? But I know you, Petra. You need to show me more than that.

The psychological scales now tipped to the side of Anna Kjaer, and with that her advantage in the game kept growing. Petra didn't show any weakness, but Anna just knew it was there. She knew the opponent too well, was too sure about her plans. When the first round ended, she hadn't received any damage, but had scored two more points. Frida and Hanyun congratulated her after the round, for a job well done. She could see Petra being talked to rapidly by her coach, but Anna Kjaer's team remained silent. They knew better than to break her focus, the sharpest weapon in her arsenal. She just sat there, replaying the fight in her head and looking for weaknesses, as she kept looking at Petra. When the two returned to the mat, she would start into the second round right away. Nakarainen saw the attack coming, but this time, Anna delayed her offence, just for a split second. It was enough to disturb Nakarainen's system and break through her defences. Seconds later, Anna Kjaer knew she had won. Petra Nakarainen was broken. She would not find a way back in this fight.

Anna was right. With her lead, her superior defences were enough to frustrate Nakarainen, to make the younger woman get risky and open her new avenues to score. Anna Kjaer was to remain the Queen of Savojar Taekwondo, the legitimate successor of her coach, the legendary Hanyun Larsson. The Queen had spoken - and she was set to take on a new, a bigger challenge against the best warriors in the world, the Multiverse Fighting Championship.

A training facility somewhere in Siberia, Amenria

A shirtless brown-haired man repeatedly attacks a training dummy with punches and kicks, whilst occasionally throwing opponents that come close enough to him with admirable Sambo techniques. A bell suddenly rings, concluding the training session the man was involved in. "Well done, Mister Moskvin, your perfomance has improved recently." Said a thinner man who just entered the room, clapping his hands. "Thank you, General, I even impress myself sometimes." Said Moskvin in response. "I'm going out for vodka and a snack. Are you coming?" He continued. The thinner man shook his head. "I'm afraid I have some matters to attend to. Enjoy yourself, Mister Moskvin." "Thanks, I will." Moskvin bowed to the thinner man before picking up his towel and water bottle and exiting the room.
