Minor thing – I misspelled Javier Rosario's name as 'Roasario' in the men's speed skating mass start event in my signup. If this can be corrected it'd be appreciated.

Just a note for those who don't know: in speed skating (not short track), the only event where competitors race together is the mass start. In all other races in speed skating, skaters race in pairs against the clock — not each other.

This is also true of biathlon (except the relays and mass start) and the cross-country 10/15 km race (but not skiathlon, mass start, sprints and relays): competitors start at staggered intervals and it is not first-past-the-line who wins gold. Additionally, in biathlon pursuit, competitors start at staggered times (based on their sprint times) but it's a race to the line, and the first to cross it wins (hence the name pursuit).

Other quirks to note:
• In sliding events (luge, skeleton, bobsleigh), runs two and four are taken in reverse order of the overall standings.
• In two-run alpine skiing events, the favourites tend to go first in both runs, but in the second run always in reverse order of the standings after the first run. After the favourites have skied, the rest of the field then takes the course.
• With the exception of parallel giant slalom, boardercross, and ski cross, all snowboarding and freestyle skiing events are judged, not timed.
• In ski jumping and the jumping part of Nordic combined, the score shown is a judges' score and does not equate to the distance jumped. Factors such as style points and wind speed play a part.

Please try to keep your RPs somewhat realistic… just imagine 78 skaters on a speed skating track. It doesn't happen like that.

Yeah, sorry... I just saw how tight the race was and thought it was the perfect opportunity for a sportscaster RP, which I wanted to do for a while. Came home very tired after a loooong day of uni and work, so I kinda wanted to just write it and be done. I tried my best to not contradict any earlier RPs, but I guess it never works out 100%

The top four all finished within 2.2 seconds of each other after 15km, 20 shots, and 35 minutes of racing. Had that been a real race, the fans would have been going crazy!

Your play-by-play was great, we just should have worked together on it. Maybe for another tight finish, people can write it as a group.

There's a mistake in women's curling - you put me behind of Elejamie based on the RR game, but that one ended with Savojarna 9-7 Elejamie. The one you posted underneath was Ethane - Savojarna. So Savojarna should be first, Elejamie second. Unless I fucked up something else, in which case, I'm sorry and you did great (well you do great anyway!)

Looks like I did the Ski Jumping event instead of the Nordic Combined event, all medals from that event are cancelled and I will rescore shortly.

On the Day 16 Alpine Skiing 1st Round event, it looks like my skiers beat the Holy Principality of Saint Mark team 3 times out of 4, but the Saint Mark team is shown as moving on to the second round. Is this a mistake or am I misunderstanding the results?
