STARTING ELEVEN

GK - Marc DE BRASSAÏ • #2 • 26 years old • Image Force Olloix
An athletic yet efficient and reliable goalkeeper, de Brassaï is known in particular for his positional sense, acrobatic saves, and shot-stopping abilities; however, despite his reputation propelling him to the status of first-choice goalkeeper for the Free Union, he has also been heavily criticized for rash tackles and challenges. In his prime, de Brassaï is recognised for being quick to rush off his line and at getting to ground, and for his handling, aerial ability, and command of the area, as well as his reliable distribution, footwork, and ball skills, which often lead him to take on defenders. De Brassaï owes his power, explosiveness, speed and mobility to his call up to Force Olloix's first team two seasons ago, he has continued to excel at the highest level due to the consistency of his performances, as well as his positioning, decision-making, and his ability to read the game and organise his defense. In addition to his goalkeeping abilities, de Brassaï has been singled out for his positivity, and has been described as "a key dressing room personality", leading to his appointment as team captain following the departure of Titus Blackett. He has been described as "an agile, strong, and commanding shot-stopper, who is hugely experienced at the highest level" and "an accomplished and well respected keeper" with "an excellent positional sense, courage, charisma, power, and class." de Brassaï has also been praised for his athleticism, his acrobatic dives, and his quick reflexes, despite being a large, imposing keeper.

LB - Paul ALTHUSSE • #13 • 24 years old • Image Olympic East
Althusse is a strong player who excels in the air, making him a goal threat on set-pieces, and he is usually a competent, albeit aggressive tackler. He is gifted with pace, good technical ability, as well as good distribution, passing, and crossing ability. A physically strong and tenacious defender, he is known for his aggressive challenges and for his violent behaviour on the pitch, an element of his playing style that has been widely criticized. Althusse has been described as having a good work ethic and the ability to carry the ball and retain possession for the team. He has been praised for having a good passing range. This aspect of his game has shown improvement since his debut season, when he began to favor simpler passes over more ambitious ones, and his relatively high pass completion rate can be attributed to this change. Althusse's passes have often proved to be crucial; in the past he has led the way in his team's assists. Early in his career, Althusse mainly played a offensive role, leading to a number of assists, and even goals. As his career has progressed, he has begun to incorporate a more defensive approach to his play, with his role shifting to being mainly based on tackling and tracking back to shield the defence, before the 18 year old eventually abandoned the midfield and cemented his spot in the back line. His violent playing style lead him to set the record for the most red cards received by a single player in one Union League One season, earning himself 8 in 29 games for Force Olloix before he transferred to Olympic East.

CB - Pierre PAULOIS • #3 • 23 years old • Image Force Olloix
Paulois is a large, consistent, and physically strong player, known for his powerful tackling and strength in the air, as well as his ability to read the game and intercept loose balls. A technically gifted and tactically versatile central defender, he is also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder. At 1.95 m (6 ft 4 in) and, Paulois is commanding in the air but he is also sound in defending on the ground. He often uses his strength to shrug opponents off the ball and his standing tackling ability to win balls. Despite his strength and power, he is regarded as a clean player, as he is rarely booked. Paulois is known for his concentration, strength, anticipation, positioning and aerial ability, which made him particularly adept at defending crosses or scoring with his head from set-pieces, partially due to his height. He showed himself as a dynamic, consistent, and tenacious defender throughout his blooming career, and also excels as a man marker and at performing tackles. Despite being a defender, Paulois is noted for his technical ability and distribution, and occasionally, for his finishing prowess, and strength with his head. In addition to his technical and physical ability, Paulois also possesses an excellent positional sense and an acute tactical ability to read the game, and he excels at tightly marking opposing players, as well as at preventing and anticipating attacking plays. He is also an accurate and tenacious tackler. Excellent in the air, Paulois is also unusually quick for a centreback.

CB - Louis MAÇON • #4 • 23 years old • Image Force Olloix
Maçon is an extremely dominant, consistent, athletic, and attentive footballer. As a defender, he is known for his strength, pace, stamina and his outstanding physical, tactical, and technical attributes, as well as his ability to read the game, his heavy marking of opponents, and his aggressive tackling. A powerful and versatile player, Maçon is a natural centre-back who is equally competent offensively as he is defensively, and can play on either flank, often alternating between playing as a right-back or as a centre-back, and was even deployed in midfield on occasion. He has remained a dynamic, consistent, and tenacious defender throughout his short career, and also excels in the man-to-man marking system and at making tackles. Although he predominantly excels as a centreback, due to his ability to read the game, he was also deployed as a right or left sided fullback on occasion, in particular under Force Olloix coach Pierre Leroi during the latter half of his debut season. Maçon is known for his concentration, strength, anticipation, positioning and aerial ability, which made him particularly adept at defending crosses, or scoring with his head from set-pieces, aided by is relatively large build, even for a defender. Maçon began his career as a left-back, but made his name as an aggressive, physical, and hard-tackling centre back, with a penchant for scoring headers from set-pieces, due to his aerial prowess and strength. A versatile defender, he is capable of playing both in a three or four-man defence.

RB - Dimitri PÉGUY • #5 • 22 years old • Image Force Olloix
Péguy began his youth career as a right offensive winger, but was later moved back into mid-field and thereafter the defensive line, where he became a tactically intelligent and versatile player, who was efficient anywhere in midfield or in defense. Although capable of playing anywhere along the backline, he primarily excelled on either flank, where he combined his defensive attributes and his ability to read the game with his excellent vision, technique, and ball distribution skills, even able to start attacking plays on occasion. Péguy has been recognized as a complete defender by his peers and critics. He has been described as a consistent defender, with flaws few and far between, as well as someone who can lead a defensive line despite his irregularly young age. Péguy is heralded as one of the fastest defenders in Acronian football, and has been described as a strong defender with good aerial ability. He combines these physical gifts with a phenomenal tactical intelligence and knowledge of the game, as well as an excellent positional sense. Thanks to his abilities, he excels at reading and anticipating plays and is excellent at closing down opposing players in possession of the ball. Hailed as the forefront of the new breed of defenders — composed in possession, able to create chances for his team from the back — Péguy is a defender who has been nationally praised after just one season in professional Acronian football.

CDM - Marin TRÉSOR • #6 • 24 years old • Image Emerald City Harmony
A complete, consistent, hardworking and versatile midfielder, Trésor is regarded as one of the best holding midfielders of his emerging generation, and is effective both creatively and defensively. Gifted with good technique, excellent vision, and varied passing range, he excels in the deep-lying playmaking role, where he can best use his accurate long passing ability to create goal scoring chances for team-mates; he also possesses a powerful and accurate shot from distance, and he is an effective set-piece and penalty kick taker. Due to his height, positioning, and physical characteristics, Marin Trésor is also effective in the air, often contributing with headed goals from set pieces when advancing into more offensive positions. In addition to his creative attributes, he is also capable of excelling as a defensive midfielder due to his strength and powerful physique, combined with his tenacity, tactical intelligence, aggressive tackling and his ability to read the game. These attributes, in addition to his pace, strength, pressing ability, and stamina, allow him to effectively link the defense, the midfield, and as a result, the attack. Though playable to a certain extent further up front, Trésor found the bulk of his quick success in Force Olloix's defensive line - his standout performance with Olloix's defense in his debut season resulted in the team conceding a mere thirteen goals in 30 Acronian Legends League games. The achievement prompted former manager Henry Coyle to single him out as a potential future captain of the national team.

LM - Antoine LE KERVELEC • #7 • 25 years old • Image Rosaria United
Le Kervelec is a quick, tricky and talented winger who is also capable of playing as a more central attacking midfielder or on either side of the pitch, although he is predominantly a right-footed player. In recent years, he has even been deployed to great effect as a central midfielder, in particular under Louis Jeandidier's tenure with Azemont Champions FC. Le Kervelec is an agile, creative and highly technical player who possesses excellent dribbling skills and ball control, as well as great pace, stamina and acceleration, attributes which allow him to beat players easily in one-on-one situations. He is also gifted with excellent vision, passing and crossing ability, which allow him to function effectively as a playmaker and as an assist provider, although he is also capable of scoring goals himself. Despite not being physically imposing, he is also a very hard-working player, and further improved on the defensive aspect of his game throughout his youth career. Playing on the left also allows Le Kervelec to use his "bursts of acceleration and weaving runs" to effectively cut inside, which gives him the options of either shooting or delivering a decisive pass. Inside Acronius, Le Kervelec is well known for his blistering pace, with Azemont Champions FC defender and fellow international Rémi Lefebvre declaring that "you would need a pistol to stop him." In addition to his speed, Le Kervelec also possesses good balance, movement and technique.

RM - Jérôme PASTEUR • #8 • 23 years old • Image AFC Defense
A quick, diminutive, and mobile winger, who is also powerful, creative, and technically gifted, Pasteur's style of play is characterized by explosive acceleration, agility, and pace on the ball, as well as excellent dribbling skills, most notably his use of trickery and feints such as the elastico, in order to confuse and beat defenders, making him a dangerous offensive threat. A versatile player, he is also capable of playing in several positions, and has also been deployed as a forward, in midfield, or as an attacking midfielder behind the strikers. A fast, agile, hard-working, and technically gifted player, he primarily plays as as an attacking midfielder or a winger, and his high stamina, vision, and creativity enables him to link-up play between the deeper midfielders and the forwards, and create goalscoring chances. Pasteur is a talented right footed winger, who is usually deployed on the right in a 4–4–2 or in a 4–1–2–1-2 formation. Although his preferred role is on the right flank, he is capable of playing in any offensive position on either side of the pitch, or even through the centre; he has often operated in a more creative role, as an attacking midfielder or supporting forward, due to his passing, vision, ball control, and dribbling ability, which allow him to beat opponents, create chances, and provide assists for team-mates. A hardworking player, he is known for his creativity, agility, balance, vision, speed, and technical ability. He is also capable of scoring goals himself, and is an accurate set-piece taker.

CAM - Ryan CHIMNEYS • #16 • 24 years old • Image Lionsgate National FC
A technically and creatively gifted player, Chimneys is a versatile attacking midfielder who primarily plays in a playmaking role, and can additionally play on either the left or right flank. Gifted with good composure on the ball as well as disciplined decision making and passing, Chimneys is an agile player who tends to roam around the opponents' defense looking for an intelligent and creative pass or through ball. He has great attacking play both on and off the ball, and also has substantial attacking positioning which allows him to have one of the best eyes for goal. Perhaps his best qualities are his agility, pace, creativity, positioning during attack and the ability to pick out a key pass. He also possesses outstanding pace and is more than capable of attacking and scoring goals himself. Chimneys primarily plays as either an attacking midfielder or a winger and was once credited as being "possibly the outstanding talent in Acronian youth football". Under former manager Louis Jeandidier at Azemont Champions FC, Chimneys often played in the latter role in the team's 4–3–3 formation and regularly switched flanks because he could use both feet and also because of his aptitude in passing and crossing. Two of Chimneys' most common exemplary traits are his pace and technical ability, which have been described as "astonishing" and "mesmerizing", respectively. Chimneys' pace coupled with his finishing and inability to be dispossessed easily led his former manager Henry Coyle to dub him 'the Machine'.

LF - Joe DI SCAMPI • #9 • 26 years old • Image San Jose Sharpedoes
A creative forward who usually functions as an assist provider in his team, di Scampi is capable of playing anywhere along or behind the front-line, on either flank or through the centre of the pitch; in addition to his usual role, he is able to act as an advanced playmaker, and has also been deployed as a striker, as a false-9, or even as a winger on occasion. di Scampi has been described as a player who is "skillful and intelligent on the ball" who possesses "excellent vision and also impresses with his eye for goal". His best technical qualities are his trapping skills, control, dribbling, crossing ability, and passing accuracy; although naturally right-footed, he can also strike well with both feet. In addition to his skills and technique, di Scampi also possesses considerable upper-body strength and balance, which aid him in defending the ball with his back to goal, and allow him to retain possession in tight spaces, while his technical ability and acceleration enable him to beat defenders in one on one situations, or when dribbling at speed. A quick, strong and versatile player, di Scampi is a well-rounded forward who has been deployed as a main striker, as a winger, in a supporting role, or even as an attacking midfielder, due to his ability to link-up with midfielders, and either score or create goals. A creative and technically gifted striker, he is also known for his dribbling skills, mobility, and pace on the ball, as well as his ability to make attacking runs towards goal from deeper positions.

RF - David PASCALE • #10 • 22 years old • Image Whitehaven Triumph
Pascale is a creative, energetic forward who combines technical skill with strength and physicality, while also excelling in the air despite his lack of height. He is a versatile attacker, capable of playing anywhere along the front line: although his preferred role is as a striker, he has also been used as a supporting forward, or even as a winger. A prolific goalscorer, Pascale is a powerful striker of the ball and an accurate finisher, who is capable of scoring goals both inside and outside the penalty area, as well as from volleys. In addition to his offensive attributes, he has been praised for his work-rate and stamina by players, managers and the media, and is highly regarded for his dedication and willingness to press opponents when possession has been lost in order to win back the ball and start attacking plays. Pascale made debut in Acronian professional football in the Acronian League Two with Stade Défense, pioneering the failing team to the top spot in the league and clinching promotion to the Acronian League One. A quick, modern, and versatile left-footed forward, with an eye for goal, Pascale has been described as a "team player", and is capable of occupying several offensive positions in or behind the main attacking line, due to his technical skills, ability to drop deep and link-up play between the forwards and midfielders, or score many goals with both feet as well as his head: he has been deployed as a main striker, in a central role as an attacking midfielder, or as a winger, on either flank.

FORMATION & TACTICS

Image
Playing in a brand new 4-4-2 diamond formation wide, the revamped Acronian squad has since incorporated a larger defensive element to their game plan, with Force Olloix's (former - now minus Althusse) entire defense promising to add some chemistry in the back line. With the hulking Pierre Paulois-Louis Maçon duo to shield Sebastian Nielsen and hold the centre strong, fullbacks Paul Althusse and Dimitri Péguy possess the pace to be able to mount offensives and to perform overlapping runs with Antoine Le Kervelec on the left and Jérôme Pasteur on the right respectively. A promising central defensive midfielder in the form of Marin Trésor could be considered the core of the lineup - functioning as a secondary playmaker, first-choice free kick taker, a backup offensive option, as well as dropping back and occupying a sweeper role when needed. On his day, Antoine Le Kervelec can be next-to-unbeatable along the wing, with thunderous pace and tremendous dribbling ability to storm him down the left flank. Opposite the half-circle, Jérôme Pasteur plays a less in-your-face game, but is more than capable of downing a defender or two and scoring goals himself. Ryan Chimneys functions as the lineup's main playmaker and assist-provider alongside Joe di Scampi - and although one is a central attacking midfielder and the latter is a second striker, both have dead eyes on goal should target-man and traditional number 10-style striker David Pascale not get to the net first. Despite first glances, the formation holds true to the Blue Boys' traditional offensive playing style, while striking a balance with a solid back four aided by a central defensive midfielder. Play can be equally distributed along both flanks as well as the centre - and total football tactics play an intrinsic role in holding the team together.

Manager: Image Elidyr Lyndainium • Formation: 4-4-2

After a deep inquests into what were the major faiures of the previous cycle, the MFA have decided to bring in a series of changes to the roster format, with the main difference being the allowance of more players to be added to the Mercedinian delegation, giving managers and coaches more squad depth compared to previous cycles, This will be Cenian manager Elidyr Lyndainium's first official World Cup cycle, after taking the team all the way to the final of the Independant's Cup in his first compeititve tournament, narrowly losing out in the final to Schottia in a closely fought 2-1 loss. Aside from that success, the U18 bought home the nation's first ever World Cup in any age classification, prompting national celebrations and the players returning home as sporting heroes. With one qualification under their belt, it will be touch and go whether Mercedini can qualify for a second time this cycle plenty of tough opposition of all calibres in Group 10. Anything can happen in this, the most unpredictable of sporting tournaments.

GK Martin Hovek 24 Image Langtree United
GK Lukas Poyek 21 Image Zoloroni Metropolitan

The most obvious thing to not about the goalkeeping picks is as that there are now four goalkeepers available for the management to use, with Zoloroni Metropolitan's Lukas Poyek joining the familiar faces of Hosset, Polasic and Hovek on the flights across the multiverse. City's Daniel Hosset will likely be the one to carry his team forward in most matches thanks to his experience and previous success as his nations #1, but Callum Polasic (who is seven years his elder) will likely be challenging for the spot between the sticks. Polasic's recent success as the goalkeeper during Mercedini's IAC campaign which saw the team go all the way to the final states the case for the Sporting Cenial goalkeeper to take the rest of the team forward from the get-go, although both players will likely share duties throughout the qualification campign. Hovek and Poyek will likely chip in with some performances, especially against lesser opposition and in matches where the team have nothing to play for. Hosset and Polasic are your two main men, and hope to keep out some fairly attacking sides during qualification.

Mercedini have always been known to have a leaky defence, with the team reaching peak leakiness in the last cycle, where the team kept only two clean sheets throughout the entirety of their qualifying campaign, prompting serious inquests to begin from both the fans and the management. Three extra spots have been added in each position with youth players the main beneficiaries of those. Craig Tranev has been dropped with many expecting him to retire since he has fallen out of favour for more energetic and younger players, Liam Toivonen replacing him in his current position. Elidyr Lyndainium has a vast array of different skillsets and styles at his disposal, and with attacking teams littered throughout the group stage, they would do well to come out of the qualifiers with a relatively low tally in the 'goals conceded' column.

The midfield area of the Mercedinian national team is pretty much packed with the best Mercedinian talent based either domestically or abroad, and this cycle is no different. With the transfer meaning more players have moved from the MPL to some of the best clubs abroad, some fans may be excited about this set of players as they step on the flight to play their qualification games. As with the defence, the midfield has been allocated three more spots which has largely been taken up by youth players, with some entering the team after their victory in Filindostan at the Sporting World Cup. Karlovic, Markus an Dawsell will all enter the team fresh faced and eager to impress, while Mercedinian veterans such as Nymark, Presic and Crasic will be hoping to return to the promised land with a second successful qualification campaign. Once again, Lyndainium has a mixture of young and old to choose from when the matches are coming in thick and fast.

Attacking prowess is what Mercedini has always been known for, as they have been able to score against almost every team the have come across. Players from the blue and black have made a name for themselves far and wide, extending their brand of football across the multiverse and getting fans in their new homes familiar with the name, leading to an extensive fanbase across the multiverse. While the talismanic striker of the Golden Eagles, Sgt. Sam Billic is on his way out due to his age and diplomatic career, new players have stepped into the frame to take over the Billic throne and potentially continue his legacy long after he has retired. Chillotov and Dostalok barely need any introduction, two finalists of the UICA Champion's Cup with Azoth and Handon respectively, with the former scoring the winning goal for his club to lift the prestigious cup at just 19. Both players have forged a friendship over recent cycles and now know each other well enough to put that chemistry to good use for the national team. Every striker in the roster is now playing abroad, with SWC champion Misha Spartoni the beneficiary of the extra spot, he plays his matches in Abanhfleft which may come in handy down the line when he plays against his new domicile. When it comes to this set of strikers, they have talent coming out of every orifice they have, it's just a question of whether they can work together as a cohesive unit.

The prosperous capital of Mercedini is the stage for the Mercedinian campaign for World Cup Qualification. The Zoloroni Sports City Stadium was built in 2012 and has been the national team's home stadium since it was built. The stadium used to hold over 61,000 people, but a recent refurbishment meant that the capacity has increased by approximately 13,000 with the new capacity sitting at roughly 74,500 with the new visiting allocation still being just less than a quarter of that at 18,000. The stadium has hosted a Baptism of Fire final and an Independent's Cup third-place play-off, those matches acombined with the fact that it's hosts Zoloroni City on a weekly basis and the national team on an annual basis means the stadium is accustomed to regular football featuring the nation's and the multiverse's best teams. Mercedinians and visiting spectators who don't have tickets can have a drink in one of the many bars and pubs or they can chill in the World Cup FanZone where they can watch the matches on the big screens along with other football enthusiasts.

Mercedini has two national languages and both are universally spoken in the nation as children are taught both at a young age. Mercedinian is the native language of all citizens and is based around the Italian language, knowing the language isn't paramount to a tourist's experience but Mercedinians always appreciate a foreigner attempting to communicate in the Mercedinian language. If learning a foreign language isn't your thing then English is also universally spoken throughout the nation (especially in cities and other metropolitan areas as it is considered the language of business and commerce). It is common for Mercedinians to speak more than one language, however Google Translate is only a couple of clicks away if you need it.

Mercedini's national currency is the Yvroni (¥) and is used universally for the nation's transactions. Currently, the Yvroni is a strong and reliable currency with 1.56 NationStates Dollars equalling 1 Yvroni (¥0.64 = 1 NS$). Goods & Services in Mercedini are comparably cheap thanks to low operating costs, free-trade deals and low import tariffs for foreign goods. Citizens of Mercedini are pretty well-off with average incomes topping ¥145,000 (226,822 NS$) which means luxury goods & services are as much a part of Mercedinian shopping-culture as the bargains.

Food & Drink is considered a pillar of Mercedinian culture, which means visitors are literally in for a treat when they visit one of the nations many cafes, restaurants, bars or pubs. As previously mentioned, integration has played a large part in the cuisine, but ultimately Mercedinian cuisine has stayed largely close to it's roots. Mercedinian cuisine, like the language, is based on Italian cuisine, with flavourful pasta and rice dishes on offer, along with pizzas and stuffed flatbreads perfect for carnivores and vegetarians. For the tourists, dishes from their home nation will always be on offer which means that visitors can always have a taste of home while enjoying the action in Mercedini.

As it is the official capital city of Mercedini as well as the commercial hub of the nation, Zoloroni is large bustling city littered with modern skyscrapers and office buildings. Zoloroni will be at the centre of the action, holding the host arena as well as hosting most of the pre-festival events that will happen in Mercedini. Visitors will not be disappointed as Zoloroni has restaurants, shops and sightseeing trips in abundance, meaning that performers and fans have plenty of activities waiting for them on their off-days. Zoloroni's main attraction is the Sports City and the shopping centres located just a small journey away from the city centre.

Mercedinans are generally very peaceful to visitors and will only lash out if they are provoked. As a nation, Mercedini welcomes new visitors with open arms and hopes every tourist has a great experience in our nation. Andiamo!

Notes

After two years away from international soccer, Republican National Soccer Team, LLC reformed last year just as its owner and sole proprietor was awarded the title of Soccer General by Consul Kyle Bolton. Soccer General Rule Theriault held open tryouts throughout the FFR to find the best young soccer players and the hottest high school cheerleaders in the Federation and get them under contract to Republican National Soccer Team, LLC. After travelling across the Federation and holding 60 open tryouts, a total of 27 soccer players and 68 cheerleaders were selected for the team based on their performance, (in the case of the soccer players) game tape and discussions with their coaches. At this time, Theriault is unsure whether any of the players stand out above the rest but he is hopeful that they will be responsible to coaching from the first Soccer General in the history of the Free Republics and his legendary assistant manager Sir Koby Theodore, who shined so memorably in World Cups 68 and 71. While rumor has it that looks were a factor in selecting both the soccer team and the cheerleading squad, Soccer General Rule Theriault denies rumors that Nova Hellstrom-Hancock and Lucia Bolton had a role in selecting players for the soccer team, though he does admit that Sir Koby Theodore and Consul Kyle Bolton hand-picked the cheerleaders.

In the year since World Cup 78, the Free Republics has fallen into a civil war. Political tensions that had been brewing for a long time between the political mainstream and the progressive left finally boiled over at the Unite the Left rally in Goldberg, Nejax. The small college town, home to the University of Nejax, was the site of disturbing political violence as an extreme progressive ran over 5 people, including University of Nejax pitcher Jurgen Eberhardt, the ace of the school's baseball team. A wave of left-wing domestic terror followed, leading to the passage of the Stop Aggressive Violent Extremism (SAVE) Act which granted extraordinary powers to the Federation Investigation Bureau (FIB) to protect public safety. 32 Republics responded to this by seceding from the FFR to form the Confederacy of Leftist Republics, which quickly became a state sponsor of terror. In the months since, the Republican armed forces have lost battle after battle to the Confederates and the FFR has suffered from many acts of terror, some of which, such as the destruction of the entries into international tournaments of the National Baseball Team and the National Hockey Team have had serious repercussions for Republican international sports. The Leftist Republics can strike at any time, either with their military or through acts of terror and they are determined to bring down the "fascist" Republican government by any means necessary! (OOC: This means you're more than welcome to RP terror attacks by the CLR whenever you wish. Just check with me first before you have them kill or seriously injure any Republican characters. The Republican military will provide protection for soccer matches but its up to you to determine how effective they are at doing that for your match @ FFR.)

Manager: Alexio del Nieran (Erathore)

Goalkeepers

#1 - GK - Aurélian Gautier - Sabrefell Athletic (NPH)
23 years old - 6’7 - 203

Spectacular since making his debut at the age of 16, wonderkid Aurélian Gautier has confirmed himself to be the real deal. Blessed with a huge frame with a wingspan over 7ft, Aurélian seems like he would be more adept in basketball, however he dominates in goal and has successfully transitioned into a sweeper keeper, further exploiting his natural athletic gifts. He moved abroad to Sabrefell Athletic in Nephara and has kept up his excellent goal keeping over there.
International Appearances: 70
Assists: 2
Awards: National Team: AOCAF LIV Runner up

#13 - GK - Joan Martinez [/i]Alpacia[/i] - Alexandria United
26 years old - 6’5 - 194
A very springy, agile keeper despite his big frame, Joan Alpacia has been fantastic in goal for Alexandria United four five seasons. Capable of springing away to parry any shot, capable with the ball at his feet, and more than willing to leave the box in both defense and attack, he’s a fantastic sweeper keeper and a good addition to the national team.
International Appearances: 0
Assists: 0
Awards: Club: Sebio City: 2x Seria-A (2019/20-2020/21)

Defenders

#2 - RB (RWB/LB/LWB) - Steven Tadeo (Rosaria United)
28 years old - 6'1 - Weight: 164

The finest Echani outside back in the, Steven Tadeo combines fantastic pace, a winger’s dribbling ability, and great defensive abilities. A poor season for Rosaria United saw them finish 4th, but one of the bright spots was Tadeo’s development into an all-around well rounded player. Excellent offensively and passable defensively, Tadeo took his defense to the next level, emerging as a lockdown defender. On the national team, Steven Tadeo really operates as a complete wingback, given the freedom to roam up the touchline or cut in as a traditional, albeit deep-lying, winger, with his exceptional passing allowing him to find his target all over the pitch. Perhaps the greatest benefit Tadeo brings to the national team is his unique connection with Marco van Ciavatinni on the right wing, cutting intricate patterns through the defense with great one-two’s and interlocking play.
International Appearances: 80
Goals Scored: 1
Assists: 13
Awards: National Team: AOCAF LIV Runner up. Club: Rosaria United: 1x Seria-A champion (2016/17)

#3: CB: Darren Tran - Kyoshiku Island (OSR)
28 years old - 6’4 - 198

A hulking strongman defender, Darren Tran is one of the most athletically gifted Echani alive, boasting pace, great positioning, and obscene strength to form a brilliant defensive stalwart. While lacking much of a passing or dribbling ability, the classic hardman Tran is a lockdown defender who earned a move from Alexandria United to Kyoshiku Island in Osarius, and has been a revelation. Is the strong yang to the pacey, more elegant yin of the Luc Villaview-Tran defensive partnership at the heart of the Echani team.
International Appearances: 67
Goals Scored: 1
Assists: 0
Awards: National Team: AOCAF LIV Runner up

#12 - CB (CDM) - Eric Bambic - Llara llera (SAN)
26 years old - 6’2 - 167

Eric Bambic cuts an elegant figure on the pitch with a trim 6’2 frame and fantastic technical skills that see him delicately poke the ball away from a defender before neatly rolling the ball out away from a challenge before passing the ball to the midfield. He has plenty of pace, albeit a little slow off the block, and has a very rapidly improving sense of positioning. He loves to carry the ball out of the back, and has the passing and dribbling skills required to have success at it. Luc Villaview is nearing his end, and Eric Bambic will soon the World Cup starter without a doubt.
International Appearances: 27
Goals Scored: 1
Assists: 0
Awards: National Team: AOCAF LIV Runner up

#16 - LB (CB) - Matthias Prudenzio - Alexandria United
22 years old - 6’1 - 164

A defensively brilliant player, Matthias Prudenzio took advantage of an early season leg break to the starting Alexandria United leftback to dazzle Seria-A with his defensive technical skills. Watching Prudenzio is watching the elegance of the defensive game; his easy, loping running style and long legs allow him to neatly pick the ball from the feet of attacking players, and his slidetackling ability is second to none at 20 years of age. His passing ability and pace allow him to lope up the field and back, while his sense of positioning and defensive abilities let him fill in at centerback more than proficiently. From fringe youth player to irreplaceable starter making his national team debut in less than a season. Did brilliantly standing in during the World Cup and has been awarded the starting position for the AOCAF.
International Appearances: 15
Goals Scored: 0
Assists: 2
Awards: National Team: AOCAF LIV Runner up. Club: Alexandria United: 2x Seria-A Champion (2019-20/2020-21)

#5 - CB (LB) - Willian Luc Villaview (Rosaria United)
32 years old - 6’1 - 168
An excellent defender who is starting to slip into the twilight of his career, Luc Villaview combines his athletic ability with technical brilliance to serve as another midfielder for the Echani team when in the attack. Willian frequently steps into the space behind Samper Markovic to grab loose balls and joining the possessive attacking movement that characterizes the national team under Erathore legend, Alexio del Nieran. Willian Luc Villaview has been brilliant for both Rosaria United and the Echani national team, and is a rightful legend to his fans.
International Appearances: 134
Goals Scored: 3
Assists: 0
Awards: National Team: Baptism of Fire 60 (3rd), AOCAF LIV Runner up. Club: Rosaria United: 1x Seria-A champion (2016/17)

#6 - LB (LWB) - Hugo Carstensen - Samaj FC (COS)
30 years old - 6’2 - 183
Hugo Carstensen has crisp passing, good heading, good standing tackles, just an all around good player. At 6’2, he’s tall for an outside back, and with a high level of physical strength, he’s a bit of a bitch to get around. He brings another target for attacking and defending setpieces, and is a threat in his own right with a brilliant crossing ability. He isn’t a great dribbler, nor is he particularly pacey, but he makes use of a good sense of positioning to make himself available as a passing option, while always looking to whip one in with pinpoint accuracy. Had some leg injuries that lost him some time in the World Cup, and Matthias Prudenzio did excellently in his stead.
International Appearances: 56
Goals Scored: 0
Assists: 5
Awards: National Team: AOCAF LIV Runner up

#18 - RB - Andreu Caelius -Monmarte
20 years old - 5’10 - 153
A brilliant young talent, Andreu Caelius brings unbounding energy, pace, and a well-rounded if rough overall game. Part of the second best defense in the league, Caelius exploded onto the scene with his never ending coverage of Monmarte’s right flank. Equally capable of whipping in a cross, dribbling past a defender, slide tackling the ball away, or just running up and down the byline for 90 minutes, Andreu Caelius is certainly one to watch.
International Appearances: 6
Goals Scored: 0
Assists: 0
Awards: National Team: AOCAF LIV Runner up

Midfielders

#4 - RCM (CDM/CB) - Samper M.arkovic - Sebio City
29 years old - 6’1 - 169

Legend to both club and country, brilliant midfielder Samper Markovic is the anchor that holds his team’s entire structure together. With good pace and an unmatched sense of defensive positioning, Samper naturally drops from the midfield line into a CDM position during the run of play to snuff out opposing attacks before they get going, before carrying it upfield an offering an unpredictable and dynamic creative outlet from the midfield line. He has a brilliant range of passing, and several go-to dribbling moves to drop any pressure.
International Appearances: 144

#8 - CAM (CM) - Jean-Marie Bentacur - Baskita FC (PAS) VICE-CAPTAIN
30 years old - 5’10 - 156

An extremely creative, highly technical playmaking midfielder who can also put in a . A quick and electric dribbler, Jean-Marie seeks to drive forward in attack and to make use of his dribbling, silky smooth touch, an eye for the killer pass, and a fantastic long shot. A key component for both club and national team, Jean-Marie Bentacur keeps the offensive game clicking, while also dropping back next to next to the holding midfielder in defense to help regain possession. Bentacur has really evolved into a complete midfielder, capable of defending, supporting possession, and leading the charge himself, without a doubt one of the best Echani midfielders in history. He has continued his magnificent form abroad for Baskita FC.

#23 CM (CAM/CDM) -Artemis Montanari - Hastmead Diamante (OSR)
23 years old - 6’3 - 168lbs

Very quickly emerging as one of the best Echani midfielders in the game, Artemis Montanari is an incredibly cerebral player with world class vision and a passing ability to match. What makes him such a brilliant young midfielder is how complete he is in all aspects of play. He’s a great dribbler, blending touches, moves, trickery and flair you'd expect from a winger, but he’s also a world class defender who puts in accurate tackles and boasts an extremely athletic 6'3 frame. Montanari’s versatility allows him to play anywhere in the midfield, and with his impressive pace, he could realistically play anywhere on the field with some level of expertise. At his best as a roaming midfielder free to do as he pleases; Artemins Montanari at once controls the game with his passing, opens up avenues of attack with his dribbling, and plays as a lockdown defensive midfielder. He stars for the 13th best club in the world, and has taken over the starting spot on the national team from Xavi Arisilde.

#14 - CM (CAM/ST) Jean-Pol Roland - Alexandria United
19 - 5'11 - 158
Okay, wow. Who is this kid and where has he come from? Started for FC Rosaria at age 17 before transferring to Alexandria United and winning his first league title at the tender age of 19, and now he finds himself in the World Cup squad, and he’s already made some appearances in the national team in friendlies and AOCAF LiVE. Jean-Pol Roland is already one of the best passers of the ball in the league, but it’s well rounded skill set that really distinguishes him, especially in his young age. He’s got a good ability to finishing about him, and his free-kick taking is simply superb. Mentally he is brilliant; his vision, ability to work as a team mate, concentration and decision making are simply superb for his age. He's quick but not a particularly amazing athlete, but his agility on the ball is jaw dropping.

#15 - CDM (CM) - Varsaly Marenzo (Skoljard FC)
26 years old - 6’1 - 163
An excellent defensive midfielder, Varsaly Marenzo was the lynchpin that held together Skoljard FC’s league best defense. From his position in defensive midfielder, Varsaly uses his excellent positioning and anticipation to shut off most attacks before they begin, and uses his good athleticism and superb tackling abilities to break down anything that manages to escape his initial efforts. He’s got a decent long pass on him, but prefers to quickly dump the ball to one of the more creative midfielders. Making his national team debut this tournament.

#19 - CM (CDM) - Brutus Aurelianus - Alexandria United
24 - 6'5 - 188
Former U-21 National Team captain, the hulking and quite aptly named Brutus Aurelianus has finally returned to the national team set up off a brilliant campaign where he played out of his damn mind for Alexandria United, powering them to their first Seria-A championship. He's the most perfect box-to-box midfielder uses his brilliant athleticism as his foundation, with defensive and then his technical skills coming after that. He has a smooth touch and a good passing and long-distance shooting, but he lacks flair and has the tendency to pick up c a r d s .

27 years old - 5’10 - 154
Cynac has long been known for his aggressive dribbling and playmaking ability, but he transformed into a lethal goal scorer that earned him a move to Euran side Holdenberg. A strong showing in Eura with seven goals and seven assists has seen him shoot up the National Team hierarchy.

Attackers

#10 - RW (ST/LW/CAM) - Marco van Ciavatinni - Myrmidon (Ceni) THIRD-CAPTAIN
27 years old - 5’9 - 147lbs

Far and away the best player in Eshan’s history, Marco van Ciavatinni was always tipped as a once in a generation player from a young age and he’s certainly fulfilled that billing. Turning out for the national team since he was 17, Marco van Ciavatinni helped lead Eshan to a 3rd place finish in the Baptism of Fire and has done a 3peat for Sebio City in the Echani Seria-A. MvC is simply sublime with the ball at his feet, and might actually move faster when he’s dribbling. A beautifully simple player, Marco is a master of feints, stop and starts, simple moves to send his opponent one way while he goes the other. A brilliant attacking threat, van Ciavatinni is at once his team’s first goal scoring threat, chief playmaker, and conductor of attacking movements. He’s been empty handed during his time at Myrmidon and as he enters his prime, he’s getting increasingly anxious about his silverware cabinet and his global legacy.

#9: ST: Anthony Baudelio - Phalanx FC (Ceni)
25 years old - 6'2 - 172lbs

Coming in at 6’2, 172lbs, Anthony Baudelio is nothing else if an impressive physical specimen with the size and strength to bully defensive lines, but also wielding absolutely blistering pace, and the combination of the two allow him to influence the game based on his physical gifts alone. Add a lethality in front of goal that has never been seen before in Eshan, and you have a true world class talent. 103 goals in 140 appearances for Alexandria United, goals abound for Phalanx FC, and goals and goals for the national team, what an outstanding lad!

#11 - LW/RW - Marshawn Mercury - Cornellians (SCHO)
27 years old - 6’3 - 164

One of the most entertaining Echani players, Marshawn Mercury has finally made the jump to a top level player. Mercury combines world class speed, with a fantastic and flamboyant dribbling ability. Add in natural flair and a tendency for the spectacular, and you have a truly jaw dropping player who constantly amazes and bamboozles with his creative play. He’s improved on his support play and has certainly added goalscoring to his tally. Won a threepeat for his boyhood club Sebio City before Cornellians in Schottia came knocking with a 9m check. A sensation for the 27th best club in the world and he crossed over 100 caps this past World Cup.

#7 - LW (RW/ST) - Magnum Cerelius - Sebio City
20 years old - 6’2 - 173
An exceptional player even at a young age, and one of the keys to the future along with Rafa DiSantos and Artemis Montanari, Magnum Cerelius hails from the island state of Gracemeria, and has been the star of the club since joining at the age of 4. A fantastic physical prospect, blistering pace and acceleration and a developing level of strength, Magnum Cerelius stands at 6’2 and is physically developing at an impressive rate. Absolutely incredible ball control skills and a penchant for flair-filled dribbling, Magnum loves nothing more than embarrassing and nutmegging defenders, and has also displayed a strong finishing ability. A great record for Gracemeria earned him a high profile move to Sebio City where he is expected to be groomed into MvC’s replacement, despite only being 4 years his junior.

#17: ST (LW) - Alessio Cernari (Alexandria United)
25 - 6’2 - 166
An all around talent who exploded from relative mediocrity in the Seria-B to absolute brilliance with Alexandria United. Originally ‘only’ a showy dribbler with great pace, Alessio Cernari moved to Alexandria United from Aeliudia Football Club after Anthony Baudelio moved to Ceni and instantly became a high-scoring complete forward. 17, 24, 22 goals in his 3 seasons with the highly offensive Alexandria United unit, winning two titles. Dribbling, fast, finishing, a great player making his national team debut.

#20 - ST - Dinko Spisic - Keenan Athletic (COS)
22 - 5'10 - 152lbs
Dinko Spisic is a goal scoring machine, with 61 in 83 for FC Rosaria before he moved abroad to Cosumar for 8.5 million. Great pace and fantastic shooting is paired with solid dribbling and flair to let him slice his way through defenses to devastating effect. He places his shots nicely, and has a lot of aggression which makes for some very amusing viewing when he explodes at the other team.

#22 - RW - Marcelo Ramos - Alexandria United
25 - 5'9 - 147
A great all around player on the right wing, Marcelo Ramos is first and foremost an outstanding teammate with an innate understanding of the game. He’s a phenomenal passer and his football intelligence is through the roof. He has great dribbling and a decent finishing ability, and wraps all this together with his agility and being quick as shit. A great option for team play and intelligent off the ball play.

Playstyle: The Echani team plays a high-energy attacking game, moving the ball around quickly with primarily short passes, searching for a weakness in the opposition's defensive play. When a weakness is identified, the team surges forward in attack, with quick interlocking play to bring to ball to the goal. Creative freedom is given to the strikers, wingers, and the advanced playmaking midfielder, as well as the directive to roam from their position in an attempt to find pockets of space where they may be more effective. The team closes down quickly, aiming to win back possession in five seconds or less. Failing that, the team drops deep into defensive positioning to shore up any vulnerabilities. Echani defenders stay on their feet rather than trying desperate slide tackles. They love a good physical jostle with an opponent, and all Echani players are expected to contribute to both attack and defense. When in attack, the defensive line pushes higher up to pitch to condense play.

Turori: Citizen Squad

Head Coach: Klaillal Tuirma
Descendant of Season 4 Turorian Player of the Season and National team legend Cuolia Tuirma, Klaillal will work with Restiaa Mumamba to become the future "All-Around" player for the Turori National Team. Playing in a unique role, Tuirma will be expected to fill the role of being able to play every game, in every position - even Goalkeeper, if there are no subs left. After being brought up through the academy system at Kionao, Tuirma signed a professional contract with Colonial Sile in Vilita for Season 35, winning silverware in the first match, the Tropical Trophy triumph over Strike. Tuirma's stay in Sile didn't last long, however, coaxed back to the luxury of Arcticala Inlet to help in their Champions-Cup qualifying campaign of Season 38. Tuirma returned to Turori during Season 44 as a member of Mliona-Lpaka AFC. Tuirma retired from international competition after winning the 67th Cup of Harmony with Turori.

The coaches will select the squad from the National Player pool. Players are listed below, grouped by position and sorted by projection 'Depth Chart' position where the top player listed is most likely to be named the first player selected for that position, and so on. Depth chart positions are determined by performance in pre-cup training sessions, as well as performance and average ratings in the Vilitan League competition and previous appearances for the National Team. Note 'Caps" are not currently on record for Turorian Players due to federation budget re-allocation to the Cocoabo Enrichment & Enhancement Project (CEEP)

Image
G.Q Disterfred II [ - Colonial Sile - ]
GK ( AGE: 35 )
Young prospect Disterfred pushed Inura Forests into the top half of the Season 38 Declasse, earning player of the season honors at the club and earning recognition as a serious propsect for the National Team. Disterfred was a member of the AOCAF 41 Championship Winning side, but did not start any of the 7 matches en-route to the title. When head coach Nycflala Kater took a back seat early in the competition during AOCAF 42, however, Disterfred had his chance to play as Vilita & Turori earned their second consecutive AOCAF title. However, Disterfred's domestic career took a negative turn when Inura Forests were relegated out of the Vilitan League, prompting a cross-country transfer to the Kionao Locals in the Declasse division. Despite the strong leadership of Lita Adjei and good performances in the UICA Competitions, Kionao was unable to get promoted and eventually Disterfred would move to Turoki Isle in order to get a chance to play in the Stellar Division. Having played his whole career in Vilita, Disterfred was eventually convinced to return home to Turori when the chance to play at Cednia Beach AFC was presented, Disterfred being named the replacement for retiring Vilitan netminder Jaqe Planst.

San José Guayabal (SJG) National Team

Image

Spiel

Many people, especially those in charge of the Guayabalense Football Federation have seen that pretty much every U-21 process has been mediocre, considering that there’s a considerable amount of players aging in the Senior National Team and also in the Liga Premier, it was obvious that something must have been done before San José Guayabal enters in a severe shortage of players at U-21 level that could be potentially introduced for the Senior National Team, that’s why the members of the Federation, among certain social organisations and government support created a new plan in order to rejuvenate the Guayabalense football, a “serious” attempt in order to bring a so needed organisation to youth football, which has been abandoned for too many years without renovation of the current system, implemented since the end of World Cup 70. How the plan works? Has seven stages of development and it’s mainly a long-term plan focused right now in the U-21 team in a carefully calculated attempt to reach deeper stages of the Di Bradini Cup and supply the National Team; for this World Cup Qualifier, a completely new base of players will be used, since a significant part of the previous players fled the country or were killed after the several attacks they suffered by losing the World Cup 77 final.

The main bet of this new team will be based in four principal goals:

• Displaying a bit of the talent that the Liga Premier possesses, in order to export this players in a future.
• To achieve at least a Round of 16 appearance.
• Forge a new generation of players that may supply the generational exchange successfully.
• Experimentation of new game philosophies for the upcoming years.

In order to achieve those goals, the new players were trained heavily during three months in various game aspects, with the finality of having a handful base of players ready for different scenarios that may occur in a football match, aspects such as physical readiness, collective game, passing intelligence and straightforward attack were fundamental in the training. According to many pundits in football, they consider that this U-21 team has all the elements needed to be the best U-21 side that San José Guayabal ever had (It’s important to consider that San José Guayabal hasn’t a brilliant history of youth football), since the amount of preparation, disposition and discipline of the players in strategic aspects has been notorious, fans have similar expectations with this team and they expect to not be disappointed with this group of players.

The fruits of said preparatives were good, since the National Team managed to do a really decent participation in the last Di Bradini Cup, held in Valanora. This time, after the chaos that happened in the Senior National Team after being defeated by Vilita by a heartbreaking goal at the added time, Óscar Agramonte is now on charge of the national team, now without many important players, even without Rodolfo Zelaya, who is now retired from any footballing activity because of a rant at the end of the World Cup Final game, where he said that "The final game has been the biggest humiliation of his life, that playing football made him waste his time" causing the fans to consider Zelaya as a "mercenary" and being now a public enemy of Guayabalense football fans rather than the idol that he used to be. To add more oil to the situation, now he plays with CD FAS and has suffered numerous life-threatening attacks at the now internationally-marginalized Liga Premier, due to a League-wide decision of stop participating abroad until they manage to rebuild the league without any foreigner there, and also working more to stop being the league that always loses international finals and then make San José Guayabal leave the reputation of the "eternal runner-up."

Game Style Description: As one of the main strongholds of the strategic plan released by the Guayabalense Football Federation in order to give more “seriousness” to youth football, also their idea of creating a only game philosophy to be indoctrinated on the youth football teams that compose from U-15 to Senior National Team, the philosophy of game displayed for the U-21 “Selecta” might be slightly conservative than other times, inclining to be balanced among all the options, so the new manager of the Senior National Team and the youth football National Teams might decide what’s best to use in the new philosophy that will be established. This is the first time that a line of four defenders will be used, featuring two central backs whose characteristics are: Good aerial game, strong physique presence and a good vision to generate a transition to the midfield. And two defenders on both wings in order to generate offensive plays or having enough projection to run through the wing or giving a large cross at the right moment, that’s why the focus was mainly on having fast defenders on the wings that may act as support of the central backs when facing fast players or hard to mark. While on the midfield, mart players with a good passing vision were took to cover the different positions, players whose characteristics are: Fast, aggressive, good passers and also having an outstanding physical condition. On the midfield-offence transition zone, there are two wingers who have speed and are pretty technical when facing the rival’s defence and the cherry on the cake, two strikers, the best we have abroad, with good chemistry between them (Both played 4 years together in the same academy) and straightforward when it comes to decide what to do.

The idea that Óscar Agramonte, manager of this U-21 team is to compete with a slightly less offensive team than the usual Guayabalense average, a team that tends to be balanced most of the time, featuring four defenders (two central backs and two wing-backs or carrileros as they are known in the Guayabalense argot) two midfielders (one as organizer and one as midfield destroyer), two wingers that might cooperate in game creation, false strikers or even switch positions with the strikers when those go back as wingers and the forwards that mostly seek to face the rival and cause a yellow card or a foul near the area, in order to have a set piece and sneak a surprise when unexpected, as said before, the strikers might change position with the wingers at undefined moments of the game in order to contribute to the surprise factor. It’s noticeable a quite big zone of the field that might be abandoned by the team, the middle of the pitch in the attacking zone, but the midfield and wingers can group at certain moments and make a 4-4-2 in order to cover that lone space in the pitch. Agramonte is a manager known for enjoying the surprise factor, more than the average, he dedicates a big portion of his time on trainings preparing ideas that might be weird but effective, as he did back with CD Barrio El Niño when he got two straight Liga Premier titles.

The Players

Goalkeepers

N° Name Team Age

#1 Ricardo Costa CD FAS Image 20
#12 Heriberto Álvarez Turín FC Image 19
#25 Juan Baros CD Las Ánimas Image 18

Ricardo Costa tends to be really flamboyant in terms of confidence, something that put him at the spotlight when he was at CSD Catamarca, being important for them when they got promoted and almost got into Globe Cup at the end of their first season in top flight, being 1.96 meters tall gives confidence at aerial game defence. Apart of Costa, Heriberto Álvarez and his motivating attitude together with a selfish but loyal Juan Baros make a great backup for Agramonte plans in case Costa fails to defend the goal well or he injures since Álvarez can help at saving low shots and Baros might have the attitude to act as playmaker when in goal, this is why the manager can’t complain of having in this trio, a complete set of styles and skills to his disposition whenever he needs. In regards of future prospects, Costa is heavily considered by many as the successor of Abraham Terrazas, while Álvarez and Baros might get promoted to be the second goalkeeper of their respective teams and in a future why not seeing them as starting goalkeepers of their teams or even in the national team, especially Baros which seems to be a keeper who dares to risk at any moment, something that talks a lot about his confidence.

Defenders

N° Name Team Age Position

#2 Fabián González CD Barrio El Niño Image 22 LWB

#3 Julio Navas Yucuaiquín FC Image 19 CB
#14 Adán Canales Liberty Rodríguez Image 22 CB
#4 Armando Coronel Turín FC Image 22 CB
#16 Carlos Antunes Yucuaiquín FC Image 20 CB
#17 Jesús Santiago CSD Ciclón del Golfo Image 21 CB
#5 Ismael Maroto FC Real Destroyer Image 20 RWB
#18 Antonio Acosta CSD Catamarca Image 19 RW

A reliable left back winger like Fabián González provides security and efficiency when generating chances on the left side, González is one of the fastest players in the whole team and maybe the fourth fastest in Liga Premier, Barrio El Niño has been an excellent place for him, since he has demonstrated his skills on getting out of troubles in defence and generating opportunities to go up front, while Ismael Maroto, a showman, can be a real pain when he commits a mistake in one of those attempts to do a transition with style, he has been warned by his manager in Real Destroyer, he hasn’t changed at all his attitude but that won’t be a problem for the group. On the central zone, we have a reliable defender such as Julio Navas and an arrogant like Armando Coronel, despite the differences between them, they do a good couple since they show confidence when playing, both have been playing since U-17 and they know each other well, Navas is one of the idols of Yucuaiquín despite being so youth due to his identification with the institution and also being a supporter of said club since he had use of reason, while Coronel and his arrogance and perfectionism isn’t bad at all, since he might try to do his best on the field in order to take the spotlights and grab some attention from media, something that he loves. Among the subs, Adán Canales is one of the most trusted and probable to play some games as starter, don’t be surprised that he could grab a spot on the Senior National Team sometime, since he has a huge sense of determination and is passionate on what he does.

Midfielders

N° Name Team Age Position

#6 Óscar Chávez CSD Catamarca Image 18 CM
#19 Gérman Álvarez CSD Ciclón del Golfo Image 21 CM
#20 Gilberto Montijo Atlético SJG Image 19 CM
#7 Ramón Ospina Alianza FC Image 19 CM
#21 Jorge Elizondo CSD Catamarca Image 20 CM
#8 Fabio Ochoa Atlético SJG Image 22 AL
#22 René Meneses Atlético SJG Image 21 AL
#9 Eliseo Salomón CD Las Ánimas Image 22 AR
#23 Álvaro Velásquez Turín FC Image 19 AR

Óscar Chávez is a particular midfield destroyer, maybe one of those extremely rare, a destroyer who tends to act stylish but chill when acting, he has what is needed for a destroyer despite being the youngest of the team, with only 17 years old, but somehow, a starter in CSD Catamarca, something that press, pundits and fans admire of him is his timing, precise sweeping, despite he tends to go too strong and it’s often yellow carded or even red carded, but those are rare occasions; his partner, Daniel Ospina is a temperamental player but a nice play fabricator with a good sense of ubication, he’s slowly consolidating himself in Alianza FC and already won two Campeonato Esportiva and has a lot of experience in international competitions, Ospina will be in the Senior NT sometime and that’s maybe granted. In the wings, an eccentric Fabio Ochoa on the left, a player who is gifted according to his manager in Atlético San José Guayabal, a team that has slowly consolidated in the Liga Premier, Ochoa has a superb technique to dribble and tends to face the rivals and get into the area using dribbles and more technical skills that he decided to create himself when he played futsal, he might have some National Team future with Eliseo Salomón, his right wing partner, an ambitious par excellence and a really brave player, he tends to join with the forwards to attack and score goals for himself, that is quite an issue since he’s pretty individualist to play, but he solves things normally. As substitutes, Jorge Elizondo, an authentic flamboyant character together with René Meneses and his introverted personality are likely to be first choice at the moment of replacing a player.

Forwards

N° Name Team Age Position

#10 Marco Palacios Alianza FC Image 22 LF
#24 Fernando Gutiérrez Cóndor Valladares FC Image 21 LF
#11 Kevin Santos Alianza FC Image 21 RF Captain
#25 Rodrigo Madrid Atlético Militar Marte Image 22 RF

We reach the offence and we have the captain, a leader by nature and called to be in the national team in two or three years, already the best youth prospect together with Teitur Vaarisiemi, we talk of Kevin Santos, product of Turín FC youth and already exported to Alianza FC, Santos is a natural striker with a good ability with free kicks, he’s fast and skilled and that’s why hopes rely on him in this squad, Santos might be in front of his best opportunity to display his quality and convince more fans that he will be one of the next “big things” in San José Guayabal. Marco Palacios, a grafter and a showman, he loves to score goals with fashion, no matter he would risk to do a monumental fail, he always aims to score a beautiful goal, hence he works better giving assists to other strikers since chances to score something beautiful aren’t frequent, he jumped to Alianza FC and ensure to the "Albos" the most lethal duo at the front. As substitutes, Fernando Gutiérrez, a really arrogant character but decided to perseverate might cover Palacios when needed and an ambitious Rodrigo Madrid, a guy who aims to get into the starters might have it difficult behind the shade of Kevin Santos, but who knows he outperforms Santos?

The Manager

Oscar Agramonte: Unpredictable and chill are two characteristics that describe Agramonte, he hasn’t an impressive resume as manager but those two titles achieved with Barrio El Niño and being developer of Barrio El Niño youth football teams can talk for themselves, he forged a philosophy on his teams that prefers to be surprising and methodical when playing instead of being predictable or having a boring game, he emphasizes on physical resistance and ensuring that players are acting as a whole instead of having separated blocks all the game, so, that’s why sometimes we can see a defender or two being near the midfield in order to keep the team playing offensively or see the defenders near the box when it’s important to keep the advantage in the score, in fact, he might use any resource within legality in order to win or at least tie, that’s why he often tells his players to either sweep to take the ball even in the edge of the box of the rival team as a way of high-pressing or making the players to waste time to preserve the advantage, Agramonte is an old foe in youth football, back when he had Barrio El Niño, the Swordsmen won two youth tournaments in sixth level and other two times the reserves championship (U-21), he’s confident that he can demonstrate that the success he had in Barrio El Niño wasn’t a mere luck thing.

Introduction

The Constitutional Monarchy of San José Guayabal, or also known as Guayabal or simply called SJG is a culturally diverse nation, inhabited by at least thirty ethnic minority groups and five other major ethnic groups, forming a bond of brotherhood between each group offering him to the nation a strong reputation of unity and brotherhood even in the most difficult moments. A former colonizers ancestral heritage and a mixture of innovation and creativity have shown positive effects in this vibrant nation located in the southernmost corner of Esportiva.

Travel

On transport and within San Jose Guayabal, we can find many alternatives among these is a rental car, join a tour group to use a minibus, taxi, public bus system, the private mass transportation, the underground (Available in cities over 500,000 inhabitants com) the bullets and domestic flights trains provide easy connectivity between one point and another in the nation, but can mention popular media, low cost and short runs as the tuc tuc and the colloquially called "coaster" (small minibus whose route is fast but to some extent uncomfortable due to the high volume of music and the sound of their mufflers). As mentioned, the transport between different parts of the nation is very easy, even people facilitate travel through the "ride" method, something often practiced by people who made a short trip and bear a considerable burden in order to avoid walk with overload.

Transportation is a very fast method SJG if done especially between cities separated by many kilometers because there is no speed limit on highways, although it is recommended to drive at no more than 140 kilometers per hour.

It’s important to say that you should drive defensively in the roads, especially in the interstate highways, due to the very aggressive driving style of Guayabalenses in general, drive always at your right side and carry an extinguisher, reposition tires and use always your seatbelt, failure to do this might cause you high fines with the police, the fines should be paid at the local police department, in any bank or pharmacy under the “EasyPay” system which can be found in almost every town in the nation.

Culture & Society

Religion

San José Guayabal is a predominantly religious nation since ancient times, presenting a wide variety of thoughts about divinity.

The Catholic branch of Christianity was the most professed in San José Guayabal to the arrival of the ethnic groups of Nordic origin like the Swedes and Finns who are predominantly Protestant, their influence on the people was so great that within two decades (1840- 1860) the percentage of Catholics dropped from 86% to 7%, and affiliation to the Church of Saint Joseph (National Church) dramatically increased to 89% of the population said to practice religion mainly based on the three pillars that characterizes San José Guayabal populace as a whole: Unity, Brotherhood and Passion.

Language

Because being a multicultural nation, many languages are found in San Jose Guayabal, 31 to be precise, of which only five are relevant in their social use and only two are used by the government. At least a basic knowledge of Spanish language is more than useful in our nation but not essential, because 68% of the population has declared Spanish as their first language and 85% admit to have sufficient knowledge of the language. There are also four more languages in which the population has knowledge such as English (spoken by 70% of the population, 12% as their mother tongue), Swedish (spoken by 35% of the population, 4% as mother tongue), Russian (spoken by 26% of the population, 7% as their mother tongue) and Finnish (spoken by 17% of the population, 3% as their mother tongue).

The people of San Jose Guayabal are known regionally for the effort they made to learn new languages, speaking on average three to four languages at an appropriate level for communications with different people, according to them this is essential because knowledge is acquired different cultures and helps to relate to more people in The Multiverse.

Food & Etiquette

Eating habits in SJG tends to be foods with moderate calories, varying per region, being mainly meat and some salads that are normally accompaniment to the main course. Where it normally waits for all those who eat at the same table finish their food, then they start to eat all at the same time the main course, as tradition, a toast is made by anyone at the table. It is considered impolite to leave food residue on dishes and should you be invited to a house to eat or social activities, is always appropriate offer to wash the dishes and glasses where you ate, this being a gesture of good education and thanks to the host (not always the person that is offered is done, is considered as a simple act of appreciation.)

The typical dish par excellence of San José Guayabal are Pupusas, is a food made from mass shaped like circle, stuffed inside with fried beans, cheese, pork rind, squash, blackberry. This is often accompanied by vegetable tanning and ketchup.
Other main courses are: Tray (Composed of roast beef with barbecue, rice, salad, soup and fries), Quesadillas, Coastal Chops (Cutlet, bathed with barbecue and served with shrimp), Croquettes (breaded meat, accompanied with piece of dough and rice) and Spaghetti. Among the salads are: Paisa salad (lettuce, avocado, omelet, egg, chicken, bacon and corn chips) and the “Mil Cumbres” salad (lettuce, tortilla croutons, chicken, tomato, corn and ranch dressing).

Football Culture

Passion for football in San José Guayabal is usual, the fanbase across the nation is huge and the level of involvement of citizens among a professional, semi-pro or amateur teams is really high, according to a census made in 2211, people tends to designate at least five hours per week to watch football or get involved into football-related activities, especially with youth development, which has taken strength across the nation. No matter the location, you’ll always find a football pitch in San José Guayabal that might be close to your home, to the point of having the same presence than other establishments such as schools or libraries, it’s some sort of religion for some people, hence Guayabalenses can be exasperated quickly if you talk badly about Guayabalense football overall, or if you attack their preferred team in the wrong moment.

Discuss and be contrary to any Guayabalense about football in public is something that will not be very pleasant, especially if the national team is playing. In such cases, groups are formed and the riots start against the supporters of another nation, then this gives origin to the riots. Something forbidden by the laws of behavior in stadiums, as if they are the perpetrators, be of any nationality, the price to pay is high, from fines of C$1,000 Coronas (NS $ 2,000) up to three months in jail, or if they occur fatalities.

It is recommended to refrain from displays of hatred and mockery against the home crowd, in order to avoid problems of any kind during your stay, note that stadiums are not allowed to enter water bottles, umbrellas, sharps, flagpoles or pencils. You can enter flares, banners and musical instruments with previous notice to the police (if you are from an organized “ultra” or "hooligan firm"), it is important to mention that you can find different food at the stadium, from ice cream to banquets of gourmet food, any kind of drink is available from the typical and highly alcoholic “Chaparro” to typical beers or wines.

With the Blue Lions having departed their first World Cup campaign with a win against defending champions Vilita, they can say that they have made their mark on the world stage. Now, with Robin Stoff free to make changes to his team, he has put into motion his plan to rejuvenate the national team - by adding female players.

All-Time Record as of CE 20

RP permissions: Your RP permissions are mine, short of death and career-ending injuries. If I can send off your players, you can send off mine. If your players can’t be booked, neither can mine. If I can rain a hail of meteors down on the city, so can you. Just make it funny/entertaining, if you don’t mind. ;)

Note: Soltsteedish surnames follow RL Netherlands Dutch conventions on surname prefixes: they aren’t capitalised when used in combination with first names or initials, but are capitalised in all other situations. For example, “Carle de Marcht” is correct, while “Carle De Marcht” is not; however, when the given name is not used, “De Marcht” is proper, while “de Marcht” is not.

Mössifest vörlös/Biggest loss: Electrum 5–2 Soltsteed (Centralis, ETM; Eagle’s Cup speldag/matchday 2)

The default Soltsteedish strategy can be summed up in one phrase: “the best offence is a good defence”. The Stallions play a highly opportunistic attack, lying in wait for an opportunity rather than charging head-on. Possession is mostly confined to the midfield, keeping the ball comfortably away from Emmet Ferdinand’s goal and close enough to Soltsteed’s lone striker Emma Gryndhout for her to attack when necessary. Soltsteed prefer to play a passing game in possession, while attempting to pry the ball away from the opposition when not, either by intercepting a pass or tackling players. The Stallions will attempt to frustrate and infuriate the opposition through tactics of time wasting, bus parking and—in the most desperate of circumstances—dirty play if necessary to achieve the desired result and are unashamed of drawing games and advancing via penalty shoot-outs.

Association code: OME
Team nickname: Les Incorrigibles
KPB rating: unranked
Home stadium: RS Amphitheatre, Port-des-Saints, PD (capacity: 54,000)

A federation in the far north, Omerica is a cosmopolitan maritime nation, famed for its environmental beauty, thriving black markets and love of a good drink. Omerica is a federal parliamentary republic with a semi-direct democratic system of governance. An influential country in multiversal affairs, the nation ranks as one of the most politically and socially free states in the multiverse. The nation is noted for having some of the most friendly, compassionate and brash people in the multiverse, who enjoy high rates of economic, scientific and cultural development. The nation is rated as one of the least corrupt and least authoritarian in the world, with low rates of ignorance, obesity, political apathy and preventable death.

About Les Incorrigibles
Just like the history of the nation, the history of Omerican football has been rocky. The nation was one of fifty-six to début in Baptism of Fire 56, where the team made the knockout stage with an undefeated record before bowing out to Lons after extra time in the last 32. Les Oiseaux subsequently floundered for several cycles, finishing below expectations in tournament after tournament and struggling to find their footing. But fortunes turned around during the Campionato Esportiva in the Sarian, where Omerica unexpectedly won their group and made the quarterfinals after defeating Yttribia. Despite falling to runners-up Nephara in a close match, the tournament marked a significant turn in fortunes: a bitter (and, to Osarians, infamous) third-place finish in the World Cup 73 qualifiers, two consecutive knockout stage qualifications and Round of 16 exits and—the nation’s crowning moment of glory—an upset qualification for World Cup 74, where the team scalped Flardania and nearly advanced to the knockout phase.

However, success proved short-lived. After boycotting CE XVI in Falatulu, the Omerican Football Federation found itself mired in a corruption and betting scandal. Combined with a riotous fanbase which had caused numerous bouts of destruction, the scandal dogged the team’s World Cup 75 qualifying campaign and ultimately brought the OFF to an untimely end, ordered dissolved by the Sessions Court of the Metropolitan Arrondissement and liquidated to cover the fines issued to its executives. In the aftermath of the scandal, the cantonal football associations, which had existed parallel to the OFF, formed the Commonwealth Soccer Federation to take over the OFF’s functions and opted to pull Omerica from international competition. Half a decade later, a new national team emerged to contest the Independents Cup and, after much internal debate, the World Cup.
Staff
Coach: Ryan Pritchard
The last permanent manager of the Omerican Football Federation team, Pritchard came to prominence as the deputy of James-Alexandre Christopherson and rose to the top after the death of Jean-Baptiste Archambualt. Leading Omerica to a World Cup finals as interim manager, Pritchard created a defensive strategy that shook Commonwealth football to its core, propelling Omerica to a perfect nine-game streak in World Cup 74 qualifying before a loss in Nephara brought the eventual champions back into the race. Breaking off relations with the defunct OFF in the wake of the organisation’s numerous corruption scandals, Pritchard led the efforts to bring Omerican football back from the grave, which were successfully achieved with the formation of the Commonwealth Soccer Federation three years ago.

Assistant Manager: Christine Salmond
The first woman to take the post of assistant manager of Omerica’s flagship sporting team, Salmond got her start at United Philibiscostal and Royal Martecabras. Her relationship with Jean-Baptiste Archambault made her the front-runner to become his assistant after James-Alexandre Christopherson’s dismissal as manager, though it was not until Archambault’s death and Ryan Pritchard’s hiring that Salmond finally got the nod. Noted for her love of flowing football, Salmond provides a strategic counterbalance to the nigh-defensive Pritchard and a critical voice that are considered to be of paramount importance in the Omerican offices.

QURIJAN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM
Image
Special thanks to Filindostan for these!

The national football team of Al Qurija was formed in 1439 AH, 2 years prior to the current Baptism of Fire competition, when the Qurijan Football Federation announced that it would be sending to the major football competition of the multiverse, the World Cup, as well as the Baptism of Fire. Players were selected from all accross the city state, seen playing in the streets or small pitches in minor football tournies. The team is mostly consisting of high school and college students rather than actual veterans, with the team's oldest member being 25 years old. But despite the offensive mentality of most players in those ages, wanting a fast paced game, with tons of chances, the team is playing quite balanced, playing on a 4-4-2 formation. The coaching stuff is a bunch of elderlies talking about football in a tavern. A great fact about the team is that it has 2 teams of similarly skilled players, so one lineup is used as the starting one for one game, the other for the next one, however the lineup which does not start is automatically called a sub lineup. After finishing 4th in the Baptism of Fire, the team is looking for a qualification to the World Cup on its first try.

Electrum National Football Team
presented by Electrum Football

General Information
Defending World Cup Champions. No one could have predicted or even believed that the Electrumites would win their first World Cup last season, but they made the history books after a successful and unpredictable run. In the space of just ten cycles, the Electrumite national football team, who debuted in World Cup 68, finally won their first ever WCC trophy by defeating their fellow Terranean rivals Eura, 3-1 in Ramusok, Cosumar. The Electrumites, despite winning the previous World Cup, are wary of their new reputation, and will definitely be hoping to make another run deep into the World Cup this cycle. Unfortunately for the Electrumites, previous history suggests they will have a more than hard time getting there: even in the last cycle, they came second in the qualifying phase by the barest of margins (qualifying for the World Cup on the very last match day) as well as coming second in the group stage proper. All eyes are on the veteran Jeffery Clark as he tries to steer the Electrumites away from those unexpected upsets that dogged his team so much last cycle. The Electrumites have proven that under the right circumstances, they can rise up to the challenge against stronger teams. Now they are ranked sixth in the world, there is less room for error, and their 'underdog' advantage is no more. There are a slew of changes from the Championship winning team -- the Electrumites are just getting too old, and new players are being blooded this tournament.

Statistical Information

Combined Record: 125-41-77
Current Rankings: KPB #6

Coaching Staff
Manager: Jeffery Clark
Assistant Manager: Jemima Bryant

Jeffery Clark is the man that is synonymous with elite Electrumite football. After years of experience managing Centralis Heart, one of COTEFA's greatest exports, he was cherry picked by Electrum Football to head the national team to reinvigorate the team. He is well known for his passionate speeches before the starts of matches, and despite the Electrumite team struggling during qualification last cycle with people calling for his head, he went against all odds and won the World Cup. Despite the Electrumite team coming in second in both qualification and final groups, he's managed to instil a sense of drive into the team in those crucial high-pressure matches. Jemima Bryant, who was hand-picked by Clark himself is not known for her football managing experience, but she makes up for her inexperience with data analysis skills, identifying Electrum's best talent and also the head of Electrum's development program. She is an expert in player management, and uses algorithms and other techniques popularised by former Electrumite development manager Risa Shigaraki to fully optimise player performance on the pitch. She is constantly seen next to Jeffery Clark on her tablet device on the pitch and assists Clark where necessary.

Roster
Starting XI
#1 Sam Kara - 28 - GK - Image Somer City and Surrounds
A trustworthy and reliable goalkeeper in the mould of Fenech, Electrum's former goalkeeper. Very athletic and fast and can change directions quickly. Likes to research about the kicking preferences of opposing strikers which may give him the edge in penalties. Doesn't have a big wingspan.

#2 Joel Klein - 31 - MF - Image Deportivo Junín
Joel Klein, who was sidelined for much of the World Cup campaign, returns to the outfit after vice-captain Ingram retired from the national team at the rather respectable age of 37. He's an intelligent midfielder who can plug gaps, as well as finding those gaps in the opposition, and will make those crucial crosses and passes to set up for a goal.

#6 Jason McGann - 32 - DF - Image Somer City and Surrounds
A very physical and emotional defender, likes to get into people's faces and has been penalised several times as a result. Loves to tackle but sometimes takes it too far. This is set to be his last tournament as he focuses more on his domestic career.

#8 Tyler Fernando (c) - 33 - MF - Image Centralis Heart
Energetic and athletic with an impressive workrate, Fernando is a natural leader that likes to assist his team where ever possible. This is helped by the fact that he is also a very smart player, always in the right position in the right time. Always knows what to say to rev up the team.

#13 Derek Young (vc) - 30 - DF - Image Deportivo Junín
Although he spends most of his time away from Electrum in Valladares, his experience in the Valladar gives him a lot of experience of going up against more offensive teams. Very good with tackles and stealing the ball away. Played a key role in helping his club becoming champions of Valladares a few seasons ago. Also shares the vice-captaincy with Ingram.

#15 Anthony Ho - 27 - MF - Image Falourr
One of a few Electrumites to play in Eura, Anthony Ho is rather timid. He has great footwork and his agility but he's rather hesitant in taking that final step in tackling despite being able to catch up to his opponents all the time.

#17 Abigail Knight - 32 - FW - Image Vaduz Portcullis
One of Electrum's top strikers, she's not as strong as Latham, but she makes up for that with finesse and being able to just track the ball and dribbling past opposing defenders as necessary.

#18 Alan Moore - 27 - DF - Image Directus
One of Electrum's very best players, and if Boldsport is to be believed, one of the top six players in the multiverse right now. He is a pivotal member of the defence, and is a future leadership prospect. He commands a presence on the field, for he is both tall and strong. Hard to get a ball past Moore.

#19 Mitch Watkins - 31 - DF - Image FC Fairleigh-Warburton
One of the jokers of the team, Watkins is more well known for his role in attacking set pieces as well as his ability to cover very large areas because of his very tall, yet lanky body. He's also the tallest. Unusually, he's also ambidextrous though he usually kicks with his right foot.

#25 Nicholas Henry - 34 - MF - Image FC Fairleigh-Warburton
Henry starts on the right wing. When Ingram stays behind, Henry charges forward and creates those scoring opportunities. He's one of the fastest players on the team and can maintain that intensity for long periods of time. Offensively, he's the person with the biggest impact.

#28 Jake Latham - 33 - FW - Image Burnton 1963
If there's a defensive gap, Latham's going to be there to exploit that opportunity. Unquestionably, he's a finisher and he's also the stronger of the two Electrumites up front. Despite this, he's pretty slow on his feet and is sometimes caught out of position when the tide turns.

Bench/Substitutes

#5 Michelle Stone - 27 - MF - Image Celtic Noviodunum
#10 Dom Potter - 31 - MF - Image Burnton 1963

Stadii
As usual, all Electrum home matches are based in Centralis, and are the same, historic venues which have been used in many competitions, including the 76th World Cup Finals as well as the Games of the X Olympiad. The people of Centralis are kind to all and are always willing to have a chat and talk sports, because this really is a sports-mad city. There are little nook and crannies around the broad tree-lined avenues of Centralis, including little neighbourhoods of people from every background imaginable. If your nation has ex-pats in Electrum, they are likely to be found all in one neighbourhood. Olympic Stadium (capacity: 100,000), will be hosting the blockbuster matches. Across the river that cuts Centralis into two is the Centralis Arena (capacity: 40,000). A stunning, boutique arena known for its geodesic design, will host the other matches.

Olympic Stadium will host the Flardania, Sargossa and Anthor matches. All other home matches will be in Centralis Arena.

Kernovi Football Club

The formal title of this nation is the United Republic of Kernovi and Rewgwlas. Kernovi and Rewgwlas is a united nation in Esportiva, sharing common ground on politics, economics and international relations. The two islands long and intertwined history has largely mandated that the nations are united on everything - despite their relative distance apart. However, one area where Kernovi and Rewgwlas do not stand united is the realm of sport. So fierce is the rivalry between the nations in the universe of sport that domestic sports often trumps viewership over international sports. Thus, Kernovi and Rewgwlas have often prioritised national sports over international sports. However, in recent years the nations have begun their foray into international sports - as separate nations.

The Kernovi Football Club represents the ancient lands of Balchei, Dumnonii and Swyftlandre-Asisi lands on the Kernovi Isles, uniting the provinces to form a national team. The Kernovi FC has previously premiered in the Baptism of Fire 64 in Bonesea and Mercedini, but was knocked out in the Group Stage. Rewgwlas has yet to premier, but has announced plans to premier alongside Kernovi in the next World Cup (and potentially the preceding Baptism of Fire.)

Kernovi FC is entering the World Cup LXXIX with high spirits and a strong community backing - with this being the first international sporting event explicitly supported by the Kernovi and Rewgwlas Government.

THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF THE UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF PRIDNESTROVIA
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM

It has been at least six years since Field Marshal Stepan Stepanovich Stepanenko was defeated in glorious battle against the forces of the Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft, six years since the greatest field marshal the world has ever seen was undisputably beaten by the forces of a faraway country that was still in the midst of recovering from a devastating religious civil war. Those six years have seen humiliation upon humiliation bestowed by these meddling foreigners upon the once and only rightful ruler of the United Socialist States, Field Marshal Stepan Stepanovich Stepanenko. The nation, and our Great Leader, was forced to accept a humiliating peace with the "Democratic" Republic, which saw our glorious nation become a mere "client state" of these troublesome foreigners. In exchange, Great Leader Field Marshal Stepan Stepanovich Stepanenko, would remain in position as rightful ruler of the Democratic People's Republic of the United Socialist States of Pridnestrovia, as befitting his station in life. Yet knowing that he is only ruler by virtue of a foreigner's whim has weighed down hard on the Great Leader Field Marshal. This resulted in the great United Socialist States closing itself off from the rest of the multiverse, so that no foreigner would see the shame that had been wrought upon the Great Leader.

But no longer. Great Leader Field Marshal Stepan Stepanovich Stepanenko has decided that the time for seclusion is over. No longer will Pridnestrovia remain under the shadow of the foreigners that had forced itself upon our great nation. We will show that Pridnestrovia has what it takes to become a real and true member of the multiversal community. But we will not do it through our military force. Instead, we will show that we are the best in the multiverse through sports! Sports, which is just codified barbarism! This will show the multiverse that Pridnestrovia is the best sporting country in the world! We will defeat every other nation that dares come up against us!

(OOC: I love being a dictatorial country's propaganda writer)

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation: The Democratic People's Republic of the United Socialist States of Pridnestrovia
Demonym: Pridnestrovian
Team colors: Green and red
Style modifier: +4 (Quite an attacking side)
Formation: 3-5-2
Head coach: Martin Pavle Gormesyan (77 y/o, Pridnestrovia)

STARTERS
GK: Ferdinand Julius ABBING 32 y/o, Dinamo Bender Image, vice-captain
Five years as the starting goalkeeper of Dinamo Bender and leading them to the Pridnestrovian Cup twice in those five years is surely the sign of a great goalkeeper, good enough to dethrone Svyatoslav Alkaev from the number 1 spot and take it for himself. Ferdinand Abbing is an excellent space manager and can handle anything from inside his box and also doesn't hesitate to rush out and put fear in the hearts of rushing opposition players. (Basically a clone of Manuel Neuer.)

RB: Yuri Artyomovich TYMOSHENKO 31 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Image (Abanhfleft)
Younger brother of Pridnestrovian women's national football team defender Yelena Tymoshenko. Like his sister, Yuri is good in the air and has a wicked good right foot that can send the ball into the back of the net if he hits the ball just right. But unlike his sister, when he turns crap, it becomes immediately noticeable during the 90 minutes of play as when he's crap, he's really, really crap.

CB: Aleksey Valentinovich VASILYEV 33 y/o, Locomotive Imgortur Image (Abanhfleft)
Whoever said that a back line of only three defenders would be torn to pieces in the Fleftic Premier League obviously hadn't predicted the rise of Aleksey Vasilyev in the center back position, and while the departure of Charles Amoroso to Farfadillis may leave Locomotive in a dangerous position following their 7th-place finish last season, but hopefully some activity in the transfer window will add some strength to the backbone and add defensive strength alongside Vasilyev.

LB: Adam Vladimirovich VADIMENKO 27 y/o, Centus Serpents Image (Cosumar)

RM: Mark Ilyich POLZIN 29 y/o, Newrook City Image (Nephara)

RDM: Demyan Isayevich WASYLYK 33 y/o, Dinamo Bender Image
Wasylyk plays well for both club and country, and he did score the 20-yard shot that let the Dynamos equalize against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Derby of All Derbies (even though he missed the penalty shot during the Pridnestrovian Cup Final against the same team). He has a penchant for the long shot from outside the box, and he does tend to convert these chances half of the time. Perhaps being a little more clinical in finishing shots and taking chances from inside the box could turn him into a real goalscoring threat.

CDM: Valentin Olegovich FUNAR 34 y/o, Admiral Novorossiysk-na-Dnistr Image
Funar's calming presence in the center of midfield means that little to no mistakes happen in that part of the pitch whenever he's around. He has a mean tackle and can thunder in shots from long range, sometimes as far as the halfway line, but if he has a weakness, it is that sometimes he can be caught off guard when it comes to going back on defense. He plays well for Admiral Novorossiysk, but many people believe that he deserves a move to another, bigger club. Perhaps his performances in the Copa Rushmori will finally get him a move away from the midtable club.

LDM: Vladislav Branimirovich BOGOMOLOV 34 y/o, Sheriff Tiraspol Image, captain
One of the more dependable players in Pridnestrovia's packed defensive midfield, Bogomolov is yet another product of Sheriff's Academy of Football, and this shows in his high defensive output and work rate. Bogomolov will not hesitate to tackle and get physical with opposing players, which means that he has a career filled with bookings and sending offs. Opposing players may try to use this to get Bogomolov sent off, but more times than not, he doesn't need too much encouragement. He's happy and willing to do much of the dirty work himself.

LM: Demyan Georgiyevich PAJARI 28 y/o, Dinamo Bender Image
Pajari is the second player to be elevated from the bench to the starting lineup following the retirement from international football of his Dinamo teammate Yaroslav Wasylyshyn, who made the decision to hang up his international boots after getting injured in the same friendly against Abanhfleft that also convinced Isidor Petrov to retire from international footy. This isn't to say that Pajari isn't any good. He's got tons of potential, whole bagloads of them, and about the only thing holding him back from realizing this is the fact that he's got two left feet and can't control a long ball to save his life.

CF: Boyan Metodiev RADEV 30 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Image (Fhulghamous Peninsula, playing in the Fleftic Premier League)
Radev's performances in Baptism of Fire 58, World Cup 71 and Cup of Harmony 63 earned him a transfer from Sheriff Tiraspol's bench and into the starting lineup of Marinos Thimpodopoulos, the Fhulghamous-based club that turned into last season's surprise package in the Fleftic Premier League, not only achieving safety within the top flight but also getting up to a 10th place finish, the club's best ever finish to date, which isn't saying much considering that that was the Mariners' first season in the Prem. Radev combined with Pruski international Lukasz Przyborowski and German-born striker Friedemann Aleshire to make Marinos the third-highest scoring team in last season's Premier League, with only Arsenal de Releinthi and Riuwiee United scoring more than the colonial club. Radev is currently on hot form and will look to pass this onto his appearances for the national team.

Eastfield Lodge Roster for World Cup 79

Demonym: Eastfielder

Eastfield Lodge is a pretty glorious nation, somewhat situated in Northern Rushmore - in reality, there's a very small island (acting as a transport hub) which hosts a portal linking the NSverse to a small bubble universe, wherein the rest of the Imperial Commonwealth is located (barring a couple of nations, but they’re linked up in other ways). The IC part describes the fact that there are several empires contained within one superstructure – divisions which are somewhat reflected in the convoluted league structure.

Those of you who know this nation well however will wonder what has happened to the Whoniverse (the universe of Doctor Who, the TV programme). Don’t worry, I will (hopefully) RP what went on. To those who don’t know, this nation used be in the NSverse, but due to the acts of a lone madman from The Holy Empire (mad, or pitiful, the legends are a bit shaky), Eastfield Lodge almost vanished from existence, leaving behind a small island (now in Rushmore), attached to a portal connecting here to the Whoniverse. Things happened, the portal became unstable, and we had to form a bubble universe, and as a result, the resulting temporal shockwave both wiped out all electronic records, and did some weird stuff to people’s ages (hence why some names in the team may seem recognisable).

Anyways, because of the initial portal, whilst humans are the overwhelming majority of the populace here, don't be surprised to find several other races and much advanced technology here. Some more historical information can be found here, in lieu of a factbook (NB: a lot of the information there is inaccurate though, TG me for clarification).

Back to the nation itself, Eastfield Lodge is probably the best place to live in the entirety of Rushmore, according to the WA at any rate. Amongst the accolades heaped upon are: Most Compassionate Citizens, Most Beautiful Environments, Happiest Citizens, Most Dedicated Public Healthcare, Healthiest Citizens, Least Corrupt Government, Longest Average Lifespan, Lowest Crime Rates, Nicest Citizens, Largest Public Transportation Department, Safest, Smartest Citizens, Most Popular Tourist Destinations, Best Weather and Largest Welfare Programs. Also of note is the fact that, in a region containing Saintland, Eastfield Lodge is the Most Devout nation, with Islam being the national religion, and that we have the Highest Police Ratios, so do not be alarmed by the sheer number of police officers.

Lodger City Memorial Stadium
Location: New Lodger City
Capacity: 150,000
Description: The home of Eastfielder football, the stadium was built on the ruins of the old capital of Eastfield Lodge, Lodger City, which was flattened in a double disaster (severe floods from dams bursting and an explosion from an unknown source, killing much of the population of the city and rendering the city useless. Administrative functions were transferred over to Lodgertia, the city began to be rebuilt, and it was decided that this stadium would be one of the monuments erected in place. The inside walls contains inscriptions of the names of all the dead – just under 9 million. The stadium used to play host to the two classic giants of EL football – RGS Athletic and VLC FC - until both had their new stadiums finished; it is now only used for internationals and cup matches.

Parliament Stadium
Location: Lodgertia
Capacity: 80,000
Description: Formerly the second largest stadium in Eastfield Lodge (until King Iqbal II and Vorgan Park were completed), behind the Memorial Stadium in New Lodger City, it was built in the centre of Lodgertia, the capital of Eastfield Lodge, and the Imperial Commonwealth. It was named due to the fact that the Parliament is based just a few hundred metres down the road; in fact, the original stadium was actually joined to the Parliament building, as an area where MPs could watch or even engage in sport with the public, as well as being a designated protest site. However, with Lodgertia becoming more built up, it was decided that the stadium needed to be built up as well. It is home to Lodgertia United and Lodgertia City alongside being temporary hosts of RGS Athletic and VLC FC (when Lodger City was being rebuilt), and in the past has hosted several international matches, including the final of SBCC 27 and a group in both stages of Market Cup 4.

Manager: Shabeen Ahmad III
Age: 66. He went down in Eastfield Lodge history as having scored an absurd 201 goals in 215 appearances for the EL national team (records are still being compiled, but he looks likely to be the human player with the highest tally). Still an inspiration to everyone and even at this age his skill is noticeable, even if his agility has waned. He had been the main coach/assistant manager for several World Cups, until Lowell Brown's sacking following a disappointing WC78 campaign, where he was promoted to the managerial role.

Assistant Manager: Robert Andrews
Age: 44. The former national team striker, who had over a century of international appearances to his name during his career, was specifically recruited by the new manager, his old friend and ex-teammate. This will be his first major job in football since his playing retirement, but his ability to calmly analyse situations even under immense pressure has earned him some plaudits from those in the know, and as such could prove to be a vital asset to the national team going forward.

Formation: 4-1-2-3

The formation is a weird variant on the classic basic 4-3-3. Here, there is the one holding midfielder, and the other two are pushed up to play just off the ST as attacking midfielders, whilst the WFs are also slightly tucked in from a usual position. This allows them more of an equal choice of either cutting in or going out wide for the cross, which may be met by the other winger or one of the midfielders. The front five can drift to other positions at any time, just to keep defences on their toes. Defensively, the AMs will drop back and slightly out wide or into the middle as required, and are decently proficient at dispossessing the ball and using it well. The DM is mainly there to guard the defence, and is adept at picking out a pass (short or long), and helping to dictate plays. The CBs are as standard, but the FBs are given the freedom to roam forwards as far as they can get away with, and more often than will get involved in attacking plays, with some crosses from both deep and closer in.
In terms of goal scoring, the ST will get the bulk of the goals, with good contributions from both the AMs and the WFs as well. The WFs will get most of the assists, followed closely by the AMs, then the ST and DM.

If I do RP, I will include the line-up for the next match in my RP post, along with any suspensions/injuries. If there is no line-up, look through my posts and check for current suspensions/injuries, but otherwise it’s fine. Also, if you're RP'ing any part of my match, please use the full name Eastfield Lodge at least once, it helps me find the RP.

NB: As the people of EL are extremely compassionate, and very civilised (despite what you may say about the religion), it would be uncharacteristic for the coaches/players to lose their temper, dive deliberately (jumping out of the way of bad tackles and falling awkwardly doesn't count), to be sent to the stands (if the ref is clearly very biased however...), spit, argue with the ref or fight. Players will also tend to inform the referee about mistakes/clarifications in judgement regarding throw-ins, fouls given but with no contact and goal kicks/corner kicks (plus other bouts of honesty - up to you).

Formation
4-2-3-1

Head Coach: Adam Johnson
After the retirement of Joric Ruskin following the 76th World Cup, the Barunian Football Association struggled to find a replacement. With none yet found, and the Independents Cup looming, they put out a call to Adam Johnson, coach of the West Bay Mariners in Barunia's X-League. Johnson made it to the semi-finals of his first tournament, and despite a rocky World Cup 77 Qualifier, took the team to their second ever final, coming second in Cup of Harmony 69. Johnson has very much put his own stamp on the team, changing from his predecessor's favoured attacking football to a defensive formation with a back four and two defensive midfielders, with a style that relies on lobbed balls and penetrating crosses to the lone forward and the attacking midfielder.
NB: As is typical of football teams in Barunia, the Suns do not have a manager. The Coach is responsible for managing the team.

Stadiums
Sun Stadium (National Stadium of Barunia), Porthaven - Capacity: 95,000. Location: Porthaven, Havenia
Ground will host Free Republics, Cosumar
Sun Stadium is the national stadium of Barunia, and the home of the national team, the Barunian Suns. In honour of these illustrious tenants, the stadium has a strong sun motif. This includes the seat patterning, which represents a yellow sun in a blue sky, and the golden "sunburst" roof. The stadium is multi-purpose too, creating a vibrant sports hub for the capital. It was the obvious choice to hold the grand final of the 66th Baptism of Fire.

Bayview Stadium - Capacity 70,000. Location: Bayview, Tildos
Ground will host: Jeckland, Isula Reale, Nekodemus
Bayview Stadium is home to the West Bay Mariners, one of the powerhouses of Barunia's domestic league system. It is located in the town of Bayview, in the West Bay area of Tildos. The stadium is situated on a mountain overlooking Morgan Bay, and is considered to have one of the best views of any stadium in Barunia. Only a recent addition to Barunia’s World Cup tour, where it replaced Newland’s Blackrock Stadium, Bayview has proven a popular destination for both local and foreign fans.
Image

Memorial Stadium - Capacity: 100,000. Location: Edwardton, Marion
Ground will host: Osarius, Olastor
Home to both the Marion Hawks and the Edwardtion Eagles, the box-shape and grille-like cladding of Memorial Stadium has earned it the nickname of “The Birdcage”. The largest football stadium in Barunia, Memorial Stadium is named in honour of those who fought in the civil war. Memorial stadium was built by Kytlerian company BNW Varin and features a retractable roof, 90,000 seats plus terraces, plenty of room for foreign media and large movable screens at the back of the top tier.
Image

Sam Garcia Field (Northport Sports Complex) - Capacity: 43,000. Location: Northport-San Baptiste, Northern Isles
Ground will host: Octinstine, St Saratoga
Located in the city of Northport-San Baptise in the Northern Islands, this ground is the sacred heart of Barunian football. Often considered to be the place where football in Barunia originated, it's a ground known for firsts, hosting all home matches during the Suns inaugural World Cup campaign (due to it being the only safe ground during the civil war) and is the home of the San Baptiste Sea Lions, the first Barunian Football League championship team. Named in memory of former Sea Lions and Suns goalkeeper Sam Garcia, the main pitch at the Northport Sports Complex is ready to once again provide plenty of firsts.

United States of Devonta Men's National Soccer Team

Coach: Christopher Tajo Mendez
Assistant Coach: Christopher Raktic
Demonym: Devontan
Trigram: USD

Goalkeepers:

1- Bradley Kozak Cooper [Team: Mariner F.C]
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 196 lbs - Age: 30 years old - Starter
Cooper was born into a world of soccer as his parents were both players in the National League, Cooper’s father sent him to the prestigious Dock City Soccer Academy at the age of five. Cooper played as a Defender till the age of 15, As a last minute decision his coach made him take the spot of Goalkeeper after the goalkeeper was injured. In the remaining twenty minutes of the game Cooper had over eight saves and his team went on to win the game 3-2 and become his teams new starting goalkeeper. Recruiting agents from the National League watching the game noted Coopers ability as an effective goalkeeper and continued to watch his performances throughout that season. Before Cooper could start yet another season at his academy he was recruited and signed by Riverton F.C a team in the National League. Cooper played for Riverton for nine years and in the middle at age 18 started playing for the United States of Devonta national men’s soccer team as a substitute goalkeeper against in the region of North Valheaven and North America Paradise. At the age of 23 he became the starting goalkeeper and helped make his nations team the #1 ranked team in his region. In a surprising decision Riverton F.C traded him for three players from Mariner F.C where he plays today and will play till retirement.

Cooper is known for his ultra fast hand-eye coordination, which allows him to move quickly and almost mystically in the goalie box. The ever observant Cooper is good at keeping track of the ball and can easily perform perfect passes and goalie kicks. Known also to play through pain and refuse to give up or let himself done. He is known to be very caring towards children and is a strong supporter of welfare programs.

7- Brandon Lee Kowalski [Carter Villa F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 170 lbs - Age: 24 - Substitute
Kowalski started playing soccer at an early age at his local recreational centers team. During his highschool years he played on the national stage in the youth soccer league while playing for his high school as the topped ranked varsity goalkeeper in the country. When he graduated at the age of 17 he was instantly recruited by the Carter Villa F.C as a substitute goalkeeper. He has proudly stayed with the team through its worst and last season became the team's starting goalkeeper replacing Tim Snyder.

Kowalski is known for being a very quick and observant goalie and very timid, Usually sticking to the box instead of attacking. He is also known for being very flexible. Kowalski is very loyal to his teams and it can get him in fights against rival teams.

11- Danny Cake Vanburen [Middleton F.C]
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 176 lbs - Age: 21 - Substitute

Left Defenders [Left Fullbacks/Wingers]:

2- Johnson Alexander Brooks [Strickland F.C]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 155 lbs - Age: 33 - Starter
Brooks did not always play soccer but instead played basketball as a point guard which he soon figured out had the same concept as a left winger which he started playing when he tried soccer in 8th grade, After realizing his love for the game he joined a national soccer training program and rapidly gained the skills needed to be a top player in the sport. He played one year for his high school then graduated. After high school he went to college at Desmound State where only in his first season he was recruited by Carter Villa F.C and played seven long years with the team scoring 20 goals as a left winger. As he wanted more opportunity, He played in the nation of Neo-Liberalis for five years on two different teams before returning and being signed with Strickland F.C where he has played his last two seasons and reigning his final two year contract with the club before his retirement. It was no surprise to soccer critics when the #1 defender in the country was picked for the national team, making him the oldest member of the team too.

Brooks is known for being quick and waiting for the right moments to strike out at an unsuspecting player and being able to drive the ball up and make quick precise passes or relatively accurate long shots towards the opposing teams goal. Its known by all players in his league that he never brags or acts like a sore loser and always has an upbeat attitude.

3- Jose Manzano Alvarez [Ranger F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 164 lbs - Age: 24 - Substitute
Alvarez played soccer in the Youth Soccer League in Santa Julia, New Julia before he started playing for his high school for four years, Although he was considered good and one of the best players in New Julia he was not recruited, But given a scholarship to New Julia University where he played all four of his college years and won one best player award and two best defender awards. After graduation he was finally recruited by a major league team which was his hometowns Astro F.C. on a four year contract, before being signed on a two year loan to Ranger F.C. in Oisinistan.

Alvarez seems to know when to attack another player for the ball or play more cautiously, Making it hard for players to get past him. Despite being able to steal and retrieve the ball he sometimes manages to lose the ball in sloppy fast paced dribbles and does not have the best long passes, Although his speed makes up the distance usually. Alvarez his an active community organizer and donates to charities often.

Center Defenders [Center Backs/Sweepers]:

5- Martin Paul Benton [Middleton F.C]
Height: 6’1 - Weight: 188 lbs - Age: 21 - Starter
A product of Blue River Valley High Schools soccer program Benton arises from high school soccer a three time MVP and many best player awards including many man of the matches. He was instantly drafted as a first round pick by Middleton F.C. During his first season Benton showed his worth as a fast and ultra observant sweeper for his team making many goals that could've been no more by knocking them out of the penalty box. In his second season his team made it to the finals. Benton played admirably till the last ten minutes when he made the mistake of passing the ball to player on the other team, resulting in a 1-0 loss.

Benton many strengths is is quick agility and his ability to focus on multiple points of the penalty box at one time, It is also not uncommon to see him quickly slide tackle without fouling. Critics have noticed he has gotten more aggressive on the field since his mistake and only passes short precise passes. If there is one thing everyone knows, It is he wants to redeem himself.

6- Daniel Kay Kindred [Nordland F.C]
Height: 6’4 - Weight: 223 lbs - Age: 27 - Starter
Kindred started playing soccer in the 6th grade for his middle school. By high school he made his varsity team his freshman year and in his Junior year was recruited by his state's only professional team Nordland F.C. at the age of seventeen. He was taller than most of the players on his team and known to be intimidating when you meet him. His taller stature also made him a natural born center back. He made himself known in the professional league as a tall player and can beat most in a jumping battle. After five years in Nordland F.C. he was loaned off for three years to a professional team in the nation of Seggenea. After a successful time in Seggenea and a best defender reward in that country, he was given back to Nordland F.C. on a four year contract.

Kindred's large size makes him an excellent jumper and he his not afraid to throw his weight around or slide tackle with his large feet, Although he can get to aggressive and fouls are a worry when he plays. His mighty long legs make his work as a centre back easy. Attacking he is more clumsy so he chooses to stay on his half of the field unless instructed otherwise.

8- Coby Lamar Rice [Real Langston F.C]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 179 lbs - Age: 19 - Substitute

Right Defenders [Right Fullback/Winger]:

7- Brayden Liam Jr. [Ceceila United F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 174 lbs - Age: 26 - Starter
Liam started playing soccer at the age of 10, Since then he fell in love. Playing for his high school he received every best player reward from his school for the four years he was there. After high school he played soccer at Ceceila State University for three years before being signed by Danza F.C a professional football club in his junior year. Liam played well for Danza but a rocky third year prompted Danza to trade him to Ceceila United F.C. Coming back from a bad season playing for a different team Liam contributed in his teams championship victory the first year he was on there team.

Liam prefers a slow paced controlled dribble and is not as fast as the other players on his team, Although he is the best a dribbling and noted for his crossing capabilities. His slow dribble can be a problem as many players take opportunities to steal the ball, Although his slow pace usually can draw fouls from this. As a Winger his control allows for great passes and shots that are usually on goal.

9- Mathew Alexander Creasmen [Carter Villa F.C]
Height: 6'1 - Weight: 174 - Age: 17 - Substitute

Defensive Midfielder:

4- Isaiah Brandon Russell [Danza F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 177 lbs - Age: 28 - Starter
Russell’s father was a soccer coach for a local youth soccer program which Russell was made to play on. Russell’s father was very hard on Russell and was pressured often to do better, By the time he was in high school he had already been selected to play for a local minor league team. Russell played four years with the team and also played for his high school's varsity team. After graduating high school he was offered a four year contract to play for Danza F.C, Which he proudly accepted. Playing for Danza he seen the team make it to the semi-finals twice in a row. In a three year loan Danza traded him to Nordland F.C. At Nordland he shined with the rest of its strong defense although he played on the midfield. After three years at Nordland F.C. he was then resigned to Danza F.C. and signed another four year contract similar to his first.

Russell is not a good all around player and plays best as a defensive midfielder, He is quick and knows how to mark men and pass well, He seems to work best in tight situations and does not disappoint. He has admitted that he needs to work on his crossing and needs to improve his average level dribble.

10- Marco Hernandez Jr. [Ceceila United F.C]
Height: 5’8 - Weight: 145 lbs - Age: 22 - Substitute
Hernandez begun his soccer career playing for a local youth league team, He left the team during his first year of high school to play for a minor league team. He played up and down seasons for six years, Four of those years he played on his high schools varsity team to. His six season at the age of 20 was his most successful and his team won the minor league championships. Hernandez was signed by Ceceila United F.C and listed in there reserves. During his first season in the reserves he played two games and did well in both. He now plays as a regular starter on the team.

Hernandez is known for his nice crosses and his ability to slide tackle well, He is not the fastest player but not the slowest either. He struggles with finding and then passing to a man, Whether he kicks it out or down the field if pressured too much.

Left Midfielders:

12- Mohamed Zari Abdullah [Mandiana F.C]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 175 lbs - Age: 28 - Starter
Son of two Muslim immigrants from a war torn middle eastern nation, Abdullah was born in the United States of Devonta. His father had only brought the clothes on his back and a soccer ball which he passed on to young Abdullah. Abdullah was invited to play for Maxwell Soccer Academy and accepted the invitation. Playing for the academy for most of his child and teenage life, Leading his team to win four championships and winning various awards. At the age of 17 he was drafted as a first round pick to play for Strickland F.C. for four years. He played for four years at the football club for his four years and got his team to the semi-finals twice. After his four years expired he went north to the nation of Rygristan and played for two years, Winning a championship there and a best player award both years he was there. When he returned instead of joining his old team he signed a five year contract with the struggling Mandiana F.C. Four years in his five year contract Abdullah has played very well for the once struggling football club. He has one championship with the team and has been to the semi-finals with the club. Rumors say he plans on staying with the team and resigning when his current contract ends, although in a surprising move he resigned with the club for four years.

Abdullah has described himself as a devout Muslim and prays on the side of the field every game. He is known for his versatility on all sections of the field, Defense or Offense, Left or right he can play. Dribbling, passing, crossing, and striking are his main perks. The only thing that brings him down is he can sometimes become a ball hog.

13- Tony Lamont Phillips [Real Langston F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 154 lbs - Age: 24 - Substitute
Phillips played soccer for a youth league team most of his childhood till the age of 17, When he was selected to play for a minor league team. After just one year with the minor league team and a bad season he terminated his contract and started attending Franks University where had two perfect seasons and brought his team to the semi-finals his second year. After his second year he was drafted as a second round pick by Real Langston F.C. and signed a two year contract. Both seasons where good for Phillips and critics noticed he evolved a lot from when he played at a university level. In January of 2016 he resigned with the club for two years.

Phillips is known for his ability to mark men and steal the ball with quick reflexes. He knows how to get around people and make long passes, Although he tends only to be good playing in a defensive rule and performance varies when he is attacking. Phillips can get very frustrated at players and officials but usually manages to control it.

15- Anthony Don Crox [Harding F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 161 lbs - Age: 22 - Substitute
Crox did not start playing soccer till he was sixteen years old, Playing for his local high school team and managing to bring them to two city wide championships both years, But his team lost on the state level. By the time he graduated he received a scholarship to play for Kanza University and he took it over three other scholarships. He played for Kanza University for two seasons and helped them win one championship. After two years he was offered a large contract lasting two years with the Devonta City Capitals, a minor league team. In his first season he played well and his the Capitals made it to the finals but were defeated 1-0. In January of 2016 he was signed to a two year contract with Harding F.C after attending their training camp.

Crox is better suited for defense then he is on the offense, That is one reason he plays as a defensive midfielder. Known in the minor leagues for being able to mark men and pass, Although he is also known for being too aggressive and bad crossing. Crox as shown he can learn more from his more professional teammates and is very promising.

Right Midfielders:

14- DeMonte Creole Edwards [Harding F.C]
Height: 6’0 - Weight: 179 lbs - Age: 27 - Starter
Edwards started playing soccer as a little boy playing local neighborhood kids in his backyard. At age ten he was admitted into the youth league and they soon recognized his potential on the national level. His youth team won two championships and made it to the semi-finals three times, Partly do to Edwards efforts on the team. When he started high school he started to play for his high school team. His high school team went on to win the national championship and his youth team made it to the quarter finals. A year after playing soccer for his high school he left his youth team and joined a minor league team. The next three years he saw his high school team go to three quarter finals and his minor league team make it to the quarter finals twice and semi-finals once, Many critics were not surprised when he was signed to a four year contract with Harding F.C. after he finished his time on his minor league team and graduated high school. The four years playing for Harding F.C. brought four disappointing seasons although Edwards played well and managed to bring his team to the semi-finals his second year. Edwards was loaned out to a team in Seggenea for four years, managing to led his team there to two trips to the championships losing both. Edwards returned from Seggenea and resigned a smaller two year contract with Harding F.C.

Edwards is a solid midfielder and is known for his abilities to dribble and control the ball, His shooting abilities from long range and up close are also on par with some of the best, This ability to shoot allows him to be an effective passer also. Edwards struggles to sometimes stay in his spot and sometimes breaks formation.

16- Julius Xander Washington [Strag City A.C.]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 171 lbs - Age: 22 - Substitute
Washington begun playing soccer at a young age for local youth leagues around it hometown. When he attended high school he chose to continue to play for local youth teams instead of his high school. When he graduated after limited success in the youth league other than a few awards, He attended George Town State University and played two surprisingly well seasons for his team, Breaking his universities record for assists and sending them to the semi-finals his last year. Before signing a two year contract with Mandiana F.C., an emerging professional soccer club. In January of 2016 he announced he would leave his club if his new contract requirements were not agreed too, but last minute a two year contract was signed. Instead of playing for Mandiana F.C. he was loaned of to Strag City A.C. in the nation of Strag for two seasons.

Washington is a moderately fast midfielder who is very versatile, Although he plays better on the offense. His abilities to control the ball and keep it are widely noted. He struggles with finding openings to pass but shows he is willing to learn from more senior players on his team.

20- Alexander Graham Jones [Mariner F.C.]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 154 lbs - Age: 22 - Substitute
Alexander played soccer for his local youth soccer league before he joined his high schools varsity soccer team leading them to a city wide championship twice in his four years of playing for his high school, After high school he managed to get signed onto a minor league where he played two great seasons but with limited success. Recruiting agents for major league soccer watching one of his games decided to work out a contract with Jones. Jones signed a two year contract with Mariner F.C., he renewed the contract for another two years in January of 2016.

Jones is a good passer and knows how to keep tempo with the game. He plays better on the right side of the field and lacks crossing capabilities.

Offensive Midfielders:

17- Tyrell LaMarcus Owens Jr. [Riverton F.C.]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 171 lbs - Age: 23 - Starter
Owens was the son of a minor league soccer player and was raised into a life of soccer. As a kid his dad made him spend countless hours practicing in his backyard. He soon joined his high schools varsity team and dominated on the statewide level. After high school was offered a chance to play for a minor league team or attend a university and play on a college level. Owens chose to play for Three Forks University and led his team to a semi-final and a championship. After two years playing for his college team he was drafted by Riverton F.C. and signed a four year contract. Since joining the professional football club he has helped his team to the semi-finals and the quarter-finals.

Owens is known for his short burst of fast energy which allows him to get around other players. This also makes him good at crossing, shooting, and passing. He lacks from a defensive standpoint.

18- Salomon Van Bundy [Danza F.C]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 162 lbs - Age: 24 - Substitute
Bundy played soccer in his early childhood but quit soccer to play basketball. By the time he reached high school he decided to give soccer another try and joined his high schools varsity soccer team. Through the next four years of high school he made himself known with in his city and with in his state, Many critics were surprised when he was not offered any contracts by a professional league team. He settled for a scholarship to play soccer at Humphrey University where he played with some success his next four years, Helping his team to three quarter-finals and a semi-final. Finally after long negotiations with Danza F.C. he was admitted into the professional league for a two year contract. Bundy has announced he plans to leave Danza F.C and try to play abroad.

Bundy is known for being able to play in fast paced type games and can mark players and pass well, This also reflects on his shooting capabilities. He lacks when it comes to defense and ball control.

Forwards:

19- Gerald Van Johansen [Harding F.C.]
Height: 6’0 - Weight: 173 lbs - Age: 23 - Starter
Johansen’s father was a professional soccer player and loved soccer almost as much as his family it seems like. From his first steps in school he attended Gulf Coast Soccer Academy competing against youth league teams and other academies across the nation. He made himself known across the nation and lead his team to many high profile matches and lead his university to four championships. At the age of seventeen he graduated the academy early after signing with Harding F.C. a professional league team, The contract lasted four years. During his first game he wowed the United States of Devonta with his performance in his first match, He continued to impress to the point it was no longer surprising. It was not soon after his second year he became the #1 ranked forward in the league. Though he played well his team struggled as a whole till a better line up was made and the team made it to two championships, but lost both. He resigned with Harding F.C. for three years and is currently Captain of the national team.

Johansen is known for his fast attacking capabilities, He has noted skills in crossing, ball handling, shooting, and works best in crowded environments it seems. Johansen as great focus and is also a capable all around versatile player his only problem is he tends to not like to pass the ball.

21- Lamar Samuel Adams [Danza F.C.]
Height: 5’9 - Weight: 157 lbs - Age: 18 - Starter
Adams attended the Dock City Soccer Academy most of his child life, He quickly made himself known and became noted around the United States of Devonta, Helping his college expand their soccer dynasty. By the age of 17 he was already in talks with the professional league, He signed with Danza F.C. for two years in a deal that was reported around the nation. Adams became the youngest player in the league when he signed his contract. His first year at Danza F.C. went well but his team only made it to the quarter-finals. Adams resigned with Danza F.C. for a large four year contract. He currently is the second youngest player on the national team.

Adams is a quick versatile Forward, Using his speed to make good crosses and get through defenders, His dribbling and control are also noted. Shooting seems almost basic to him. Adams has also shown is worth defending using his speed. Adams sometimes gets too frustrated or has problems with bragging about his goals.

#20- Condor Jesse Madrid [Riverton F.C.]
Height: 5’10 - Weight: 158 lbs - Age: 20 - Substitute

23- Noah Lamont Hill [Jinja F.C.]
Height: 5’11 - Weight: 173 lbs - Age: 27 - Substitute
Hill played soccer most of his childhood in different youth soccer leagues across the his hometown. When he became a freshman in high school he opted out of playing for his high school and was offered a chance to play in the national youth league, Which he accepted. He had good and bad seasons but managed to get his team to two quarter-finals. By the age of eighteen Hill was offered a chance to play for a professional team in the nation of Rygristan for four years and he accepted. In his four years in Rygristan he brought his team to a championship and semi-finals. Recruiting agents noticed his success and he was signed onto Strickland F.C. for a large five year contract. In January of 2016 he resigned for four years, although Strickland F.C. agreed to loan him off to Banjian club Jinja F.C. for two years.

Hill is known for his ability to mark men and pass, He also is known for his headers. He lacks when it comes to crossing and ball control.

Staff
AF. Ázëwyn Fëanáro*, Manager, 4,046
270 Caps, 71 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Fëanáro scored the winner in the 47th Final against Valanora, denying them a title on their own turf and lifting Starblaydia to the mantle of all-time greatest team. Known for her excellent attacking play, range of passing and great eye for goal that lifts her to second in the all-time goalscorers list too, by virtue of a nearly 1-in-4 ratio, Ázëwyn Fëanáro is a symbol of grace, power and beauty from Starblaydia's golden age, some hundred and twenty-five years ago when the Cup was in its 40s. It is these qualities that the SFA managed to recapture with Fëanáro at the helm, bringing her trademark poise and piercing yell to the touchlines after more than a decade of national failures. She took her team to an ultimately dismal World Cup 78 Finals performance, but the crucial point was they were at the World Cup after so long without it.

JM. Jerzy Makuszewski, Assistant Manager, 56
83 Caps, 0 Goals (6 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Known as "Chef" by those who can pronounce his surname correctly, Makuszewski took up the mantle of "Best in the World" Lucas Cable to become Starblaydia's unassailable number one between the posts and wear the captain's armband. Always a fiery character, he can shift from jovial to furious in moments, and is Fëanáro's 'enforcer', barking out orders and remonstrating with players and officials with equal fervour.

Goalkeepers
1. Zac Myhill, GK, 36 - Corinthian Spirits
30 Caps, 0 Goals (3 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Zac Myhill entrenched himself into the Number 1 shirt with his shot-stopping abilities as well as the command of his area. He guarded Starblaydia's goal to the Finals for the first time in over a decade, and despite a lukewarm AOCAF 54, remains King of the Keepers for Ceni/Drawkland.

12. Bjorn Järvinen, GK, 24 - Hippion Overdrive
Uncapped (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
The successor to Zack Lomanto as both Overdrive's main goalie and the owner of the first back-up goalkeeping position, Järvinen has been thrust straight onto the national team into a proving ground that he seems desperate to excel in. Should make a few appearances through the Qaulifying campaign, though no-one can quite predict the outcome.

19. John Higgins, GK, 32 - Jhanna City
6 Caps, 0 Goals (1 Cap, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Solid, dependable and genuinely unexciting, just like a good goalkeeper should be. No scorpion kicks, no unorthodox playmaking, and no fuss on crosses and shots. JCFC's number one, however, can only make Starblaydia's number three.

Defenders
2. Dorn Garkadrum^, RB, 26 - Widdrington Wolves
14 Caps, 2 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Full of tricky moves and neat interplay, Garkadrum always provides some wing wizardry for the Widdrington Wolves. His speed and ball control make him a voracious attacking full back, and he's got the pace to track most wingers and collect the hopeful long balls without any trouble. Like a bullet in attack and defence, he wants to live up to the exploits of his great hero, the World Cup Hall of Famer Khim Azanulbizarn.

3. Daeron Avathar, C/LB, 8,890 - Telcontarë
231 Caps, 18 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
A winner of World Cup 47, Avathar originally returned to the team at Fëanáro's thanks to his solid full-back gameplay, and has retained the position. Never one to rush too far forward, Avathar's height, positioning, tracking and distribution are second-to-none on the left, or in the centre, of a back four. Never appearing perturbed, he's an anchor of the defence and a solid barrier to try and overcome.

5. Syku Ryku, CB, 20 - Malta Lines
1 Cap, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
Watching Syku Ryku play is like watching beige paint dry. So terribly, terribly dull. No mistakes, no rushes of blood to the head, no crazy backheels to outwit a striker, just solid, simple, defensive play. Although his thick Rejistanian accent, acquired from his parents, is unintentionally hilarious in interviews, there's no more a model professional on the pitch. Unless you're watching the robot leagues, in which he'd fit right in.

6. Palanadu, CB/SW, 9,220 - Telcontarë
107 Caps, 1 Goal (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
A winner of World Cup 44, most people who either remember Palanadu's play or watch him for Telcontarë seem to think his legs have gone. They've been saying that, however, for over a century as this languid, effortless sweeper seems to do precisely no work, but always finishes top of the interception standings thanks to his uncanny ability to be in the right place before anyone else has realised it.

13. Frederico Esposito, LB, 22 - Penningworth United
Uncapped (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Even at the age of 34, Asante's game is built on power and speed, though slightly less speed than previously. Lightning quick striker? Asante's got them. Brusier trying to overpower the defence? Asante's got them. Though his combative style sees him talked to by the referee a little too often for most fans' liking, there isn't a single person who can doubt Asante's commitment, heart and athleticism.

14. Minheled Earisil, R/CB, 4,842 - Telcontarë
122 Caps, 5 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Tall, lean, good looking (even for an Elf) and totally unflappable at either Right Back or Centre Back. A winner of World Cup 47, Earisil is famed for his ball-playing skills, distributing long passes from deep, or overlapping the right midfielder and crossing the perfectly arced ball into the box, Earisil plays with his head up and his eyes open.

20. Arthur Asante, CB, 34 - Penningworth United
38 Caps, 0 Goals (3 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Even at the age of 34, Asante's game is built on power and speed, though slightly less speed than previously. Lightning quick striker? Asante's got them. Brusier trying to overpower the defence? Asante's got them. Though his combative style sees him talked to by the referee a little too often for most fans' liking, there isn't a single person who can doubt Asante's commitment, heart and athleticism.

Midfielders
4. Pawel Zapotowski, Captain, L/DM, 30 - Nidola United
28 Caps, 3 Goals (1 Cap, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
Left footed and equally adept at block tackling, intercepting and the lost art of the ball-winning slide tackle, 'Zap' anchors the Starblaydi midfield. He's big and tough, with an engine to run all day long. Zapp has grown into his role, developed into an international class midfielder, and earned himself the captain's armband to lead Starblaydia out.

7. Soronúmë, SC/RW, 8,724 - Telcontarë
221 Caps, 51 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Very, very fast, Soronúmë is a supreme right-footed winger and deadly striker, as winner's medals from World Cups 44 and 47 will attest to. He prefers to sprint down the touchline with defenders trailing in his wake, pulling out the perfect cross at top speed. Though his style somewhat unbalances the Manager's idea of how the team should play, he's an impactful player like no other, able to change any game in a moment. Assuming he's feeling like it that day.

8. Hanar Nauglamír^, AM, 29 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
17 Caps, 6 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Most people thought Fëanáro was completely mad to put a twenty-five year old into the heart of the Starblaydi midfield, no less one who had yet to play a single game in the white and purple. Nauglamír, however, plays in the classic Trequartista mold to pull the strings of the attack, play through-balls to the strikers and wide midfielders, as well as unleash a vicious shot when he gets the opportunity. As such his six goals weight in to bring Starblaydia to World Cup 78. Injured for the 54th AOCAF Cup, he retakes his place at the front of the diamond to run the park like it was his own front lawn.

11. Marcello Di Bradini, LM, 22 - Iskara Daii
2 Caps, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 2 Goals at Under-21 level)
Yup, a Di Bradini, fresh from winning Liga Starblaydia with the Daii.

15. Náin Mazarbul^, DM, 24 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
Uncapped (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

16. Falco Romano, C/AM, 22 - Cedrus Soundgardia
1 Cap, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

21. Jennifer Young*, C/DM, 30 - Vecchio Victors
3 Caps, 0 Goals (1 Cap, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

22. Julio Caballero, RM, 24 - Lavingrad Wanderers
Uncapped, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 level)
TBA.

Forwards
9. Anra Kolmkal*^, SC, 24 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
14 Caps, 5 Goals (4 Caps, 3 Goals at Under-21 level)
Anra made history as the first female Dwarf to be selected for the Starblaydi national team. Though female Dwarves make up around 10% of Ice Hockey and 3% of Football players in Karak D'Ragh, Anra was the first to break through and wear Starblaydi colours. With the usual Dwarven traits of great speed, stamina and a low centre of gravity, she's not the one to knock down the long ball, but she'll be on it quick as a flash with a powerful shot. And no, before you ask, she doesn't have a beard.

10. Ella Kabeya*, SC, 27 - Jhanna United
33 Caps, 17 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Scoring on her debut in the qualifiers for World Cup 77, Ella hasn't looked back in her career, scoring twice more in the campaign and being one of the few bright sparks in the AOCAF Cup 53 side, and even then unjustly having to come from the bench. Now she's cemented herself as Starblaydia's leading striker, joining the unofficial 'Rapaii 15' club for Starblaydi strikers who have scored more than 15 goals in their career, the first since Clayton Skye, 13 years ago.

17. Carnophin Narquelie, CF/SC, 5,112 - Telcontarë
126 Caps, 40 Goals (Uncapped at Under-21 level)
Sheer heart and determination has got Narquelie through his career to be a World Cup 47 champion, and he actively requested to be considered for inclusion in this squad. By his nature he can play alongside any other striker, in any role he's given and will always show his will to get the team together. With his strength, he also can shake up Starblaydia's forward game and provide a much more combative, physical role.

18. Luciano Da Cunha, CF/SC, 23 - Tournetas
Uncapped, 0 Goals (4 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
TBA.

23. Mezna Rayyen*, SC/LW, 19 - Vecchio Victors
Uncapped, 0 Goals (3 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
TBA.

Home Stadium

All of Starblaydia's home matches will take place in the 196,754-seater Stadii Di Bradini, close to the popular tourist destination of downtown Jhanna, Starblaydia's capital city. Boasting extensive transport links, hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs and entertainment, the Downtown area is the perfect place for a nearly quarter of a million fans to disperse into every evening after a match.

The stadium is named after Starblaydia's legendary former striker, Jhanna-born Simeone Di Bradini, the former World Cup Committee President, World Cup Hall of Famer, and three-time World Cup Winner (all with The Holy Empire as player/manager), for whom the Di Bradini Cup, the world's premier Under-21 tournament, is also named. It is a gargantuan stadium notable for environmentally friendly 'eco-stadium' features built-in since before ground was first broken on the site. Designed and constructed using as many recyclable materials and installed with technology that reduce its carbon footprint and lowers its energy needs, the exterior features a huge array of photovoltaic solar panels on the roof. It is the centrepiece of the 'Green Starblaydia' project many years ago.
