Confirming Lorenthia, member of Imperan Rugby and puppet of Lisander, in LARFC Sevens.

Also confirming Nordland Selects (although based in Lorenthia, fulfilled with Lisanderian and Aristian semi-pro players. A team supported by Nordland, biggest Lorenthia Air Carrier).

Grand Merina, puppet of Lisander and member of Imperan Rugby will send two development teams: GMRU Hibiscus and GMRU Caracaras to compete in LARFC Sevens.

Both teams will be composed mainly of players who represented Grand Merina in Rugby U-20 Cup one year ago. (They're players with little international experience, still with a lot to learn.)

Ariannin, puppet of Lisander and member of Imperan Rugby, will send a team to rival the Local teams.

With some veterans of Lisanderian/Alicean Rugby veterans (sponsored by Southern Atlantic Accounting and Banking Services, SAAB) playing together with Elizabethan Old Boys youngsters, the SAAB/EOB Rugby comes with hopes to reach at least the pool stage.

I confirm my Imperan Rugby puppets (check Imperan Rugby Newswire for more info), with teams enough to reach 64 participants in LARFC Sevens.

THE SIGNUPS ARE CLOSED and the threads for both URSA Sevens/LARFC Sevens should be here soon.

Unintentionally, I missed Copper Cuprum's signup.

For my luck, Somersville was recently banned for being an underage user, then Greater Vakolicci Haven takes its place on Pool C. Copper Cuprum is now in Pool D.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Question: I have foreign nationals who play in the AVRU, attend my universities, and also work at some of large Neu Engollon based companies that have international presence. Is there any issue with them being on my LARFC 7s squads?

The URSA sevens link, or the LARFC sevens link?

You could have found them by just checking out the first couple pages of this forum, but whatever - there you go.

To quote my post from the NS Rugby thread:
Elejamie wrote:Apologies if Lisander wanted to do it himself but, as your Sevens VP, I'd like to remind everyone that the ICs for the URSA Sevens and the LARFC Lions Sevens are now both open.

Neu Engollon wrote:Question: I have foreign nationals who play in the AVRU, attend my universities, and also work at some of large Neu Engollon based companies that have international presence. Is there any issue with them being on my LARFC 7s squads?

In the OP, Lisander said he's alright with people having Lisanderians on his team and even explained how names in his country worked just in case you wanted to make your own. And I don't have any issues with people putting Elejamians in their team, although I'd recommend picking English or Spanish-sounding names just to be on the safe, conlang-free side. Personally, I'd recommend TGing people just to make sure.

That's fine. After all, there's nothing wrong with getting a pre-tournament RP bonus to get things going. It's what I do.

But yes, to answer your question: You can RP the games, whether it be what happened in the match or your players going into/after it, but you don't have to. You could go into detail about the history your nation, you could do a storyline about something happening in your nation, you could even talk about rugby teams or championships in your nation. Just as long as it's something you feel comfortable doing.

Well, that's entirely up to you. You could RP arrival, you could RP the matches. You could do both, you could do neither. If you do RP your team in Lisander, be sure to honor the details and customs of his nation that he's outlined in the OP.

Jinx. Elejamie beat me to it.

Thanks for reminding me of that. I forgot he did say that.
What I meant actually is that I do have players from other nations who did transfer them to the AVRU, with the inherent permission that I would be able to RP them. Sort of like UICA or HCL.
For companies, I figured folks that asked for breweries or restaurants in their nations wouldn't mind if some of their nationals that work at BDI associated locations might be recruited to play for the company team. That leaves collegiate players. I guess I'm going to solicit right here for volunteers who might have young athletes attending university in Neu Engollon. Any takers?

By the way, if you want to have Velsturmen on your team it makes absolute sense as they're generally a lot bigger than normal people.
Velsturman naming works rather strangely however, essentially it's any combination of letters that the parents think of, then the word 'nos' (meaning 'from') and then the fathers name (or mothers in case of women.) So a typical velsturman name might be 'elosqir nos vandriel,' but then 'ohlanaten nos Cruimav' would be just as likely. So it's nonsense combination nos nonsense combination.

Ah, right. I get you. In that case, there shouldn't be any problems with foreign players on your team but, if you want to be sure, feel free to have something saying that if anyone has any problems with their players on your teams then they can TG you. Or however you want to do it. It's completely up to you.

Day 1 results are all up.

Fun fact: None of the Lisanderian favourites to the title of LARFC sevens won. But the Navy Officers yes. Margaret should have received a royal meal.

Slight mistake with the LARFC Lions Sevens: Eastern EU Elephants lost 20-19 to Bay Brew's Ballers, yet you bolded my team as if it's the winning one. It's not really a massive problem but it's just something I thought I should let you know.

Cutoffs delayed in one day because of Autumn Internationals. What a series of games, my friends. Everything should be fixed up later today. I hope you've taken the extra day to develop the RPs (and I know some of you have) :D

Popped in a classic Mattijanan match report. I'm on study leave next week, so I should hopefully get something a bit more imaginative up. Looking forward to the next couple of matches, both from the URSAs and RL.

Apologies for my RP being about my quarter-final game between me and the Kiaser Colonies but I was having a wee bit of writer's block and, by the time I could think of something and nearly finish it, it was cut-off. No matter, might still go towards a bonus. Besides, I'll see if I can think of something a bit better and more related for my semi-finals RP.

Hopefully we can get a match report of the Kiaser Colonies vs Elejamie in every round of the world series for continuity. Hopefully I don't get beaten heavily in all of them.
