NS' premier combat competition
Boxing is one of the oldest sports in the world, and is one of the most popular. From the ancient days to now, being called the heavyweight champion has always been something prestigious and sought after. The sport has sold out massive arenas and created some of sports' biggest superstars, and boxers come from all nations and walks of life. But it's been a long time since there's been an international competition to pit the best against the best, and the Multiverse Boxing Organization was created to fill that divide. Based on international soil in Rushmore, the organization is made up of members from across the multiverse and has the goal of bringing high level boxing to every country. Now, they're officially opening their doors and holding a series of introductory tournaments.
How does this work?
Because a ladder system of rankings isn't yet in place, a tournament structure will be used for the opening event(s). There's no set time for how long this structure will be used. The first event will be hosted in Bojikstan, but future events will be open for host bidding and will allow for different structures that are chosen by the hosts. The size of the tournament will also depend on how many signups there are, but a random draw will determine the bracket. The fighters will then fight every other day, in a normal tournament style.
However, it's important to note that there's three different weight classes to begin with. More will be added soon, when the competition is more established. These classes are featherweight(127 lb/57.15 kg), welterweight(147 lb/66.68 kg), and heavyweight(200+ lb, no limit). The three tournaments will take place one after the other, with the heavyweight one concluding the event. Each tournament will reward its own belt, and will impact the rankings, when they are established.
All matches will be scorinated with the boxing formula on Xkoranate. RP bonus will be generous and non degrading, but only applies for each tournament. For example, if you RP in the featherweight tournament, your bonus will only apply to your featherweight fighter and you will have to earn your bonus again during the welterweight tournament.
EDIT: There's been a change in plans.
There's been more interest than I expected, so there will be a slight change of plans, unless there's objections from the participants. To allow for more RP and an overall fairer tournament, we're going to have a round robin with four groups of four boxers each. The groups will be drawn completely randomly, using a random number picker after every participant is assigned a number. The two top boxers in each group will qualify for the tournament, which will be seeded based on the round robin results. In the event of ties, points differential will be used to decide the seeding and/or who advances. I think this gives everyone a fair chance to RP, because before, there's a chance that your fighter loses in the first round of a tournament after you've only gotten up one post.

To signup, you just have to fill out this form. You can sign up one boxer per weight class, but you are allowed one puppet, which must be declared. If you join the event, you must sign up a boxer in every weight class available, to avoid numbers problems. Currently, there's only three weight classes.
