Alright, that's kind of depressing, but either way, thanks for your continued support, everyone.

I'll keep doing the president thing until the end of my term, as the usual. My first term was Post 22 to Pre 25, so my next term will be Post 25 to Pre 28. Hopefully things will go smoother with the next presidential nominations and voting and everything.

If he accepts, I'll appoint Filindostan as the VP for this term, since he was nominated and is active. Ethane had a great run as VP but he's been absent a bit from NS Sports so I'll cut him some slack.

Hey, since the WBC is nearly done, the World Bowl is just now kicking off, and the World Cup cycle is going to be accelerated this time, I say it's about time we have some signups!

HOST VOTING
All members of the IBO Committee (which can be found in the OP of the Discussion Thread) are able and encouraged to vote for the host of IBC 26. All committee members will be receiving a telegram as well, so if you don't receive one, then you aren't a person who's able to vote.

All votes should be sent to THIS nation, the International Basketball Organization. If you are voting, you have 4 options:

ACCEPT Equestrian States's bid
ACCEPT Qasden's bid
RE-OPEN Bidding
ABSTAIN

Abstentions will not be counted towards the total votes cast. If you abstain, it's the same as not voting. Just lets me know that you're at least active enough to be voting at all. The IBO uses a single vote count, so there's no need to send a preferential list, just your first preference. Voting will end on June 26th at 11:59 Eastern Time. Basically, a little less than a week from now. If a majority of IBO members vote for a bid before the deadline and that bid's victory is surefire, the voting period will end early.

True thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted for me as your IBC26 host! I will do my best to ensure this IBC to become one of the most memorable yet! As my man pointed out, we have 46 entries so far this tournament. I will cutoff entries once either 48 has been reached or within the next 48 hours. An IC thread shall be posted around noon CST on Saturday, June 30th.

Oh! One more thing. If you're from Atlantian Oceania and I have not contacted you about having a venue be used for the IBC, please feel free to contact me via telegram/discord/irc with your stadium name and city it's in! Even if it's on another planet, utilize it! Venue selection shall close off ~48 hours from now. Thanks everyone, and I can't wait to see all y'all at IBC 26!

Qasden conducted it on IRC yesterday and posted the image below on Discord late last night but I believe he forgot to edit it into the thread.

The Official IBC 26 Groups have been posted! Apologies for the inconvenient timing of it, seeing as a surprise trip IRL + the graphic took me out of schedule. So, to allow me to not only better fulfill my hosting duties to maximum effort, but also be able to enjoy my final day of the mini vacation, the schedule of IBC 26's matchdays shall all be delayed 24 hours accordingly, meaning Matchday 1 will be scored on Sunday, July 8th.

Thank you so very much for dealing with this minor burden. As far as time concerns, I should be back in a stable environment within the new time constraints. Cheers and good luck, everybody!

Sorry for the delay, y'all! I've been finishing stuff for my driver's license and applying for a ton of jobs recently, and that had to take priority briefly, you know? I should be good now, with the selection tool popping up sometime in the next 24 hours (gotta make sure it's perfect!). Do expect cutoffs to continue normally, as well.

Really x ∞ sorry about my sudden disappearance, especially after my initial promises. I did say I was gonna make this IBC memorable, guess just for the wrong reasons. Anyways, we should be back on track now in terms of RL. The OP's schedule has been edited to accommodate the remaining matches of the tournament, and I promise the selection tool will be up tomorrow alongside the cutoff.

Another week has gone by with nothing. This tournament is impossible to RP at this point.
We've reached a point, in my opinion, where we have to begin discussion about getting a new host.

Qasden has been co-hosting the CE and he's been on Discord from time to time but I haven't heard anything from him whatsoever about the IBC in about a week. Since WC qualifying should be starting around 2-3 weeks from now, we really need a host who can cut the IBC off on schedule at this point.

If we end up replacing Qasden, I'd strongly recommend that he be replaced by somebody experienced since the replacement host will have to work for manual tables as the group stage is currently half finished and I'd imagine the tournament would need to pick back up from matchday 6 with the 5 matchdays that have already been scorinated counting.

If he's been co-hosting the CE then this asks serious questions about his priorities, in my opinion. I concur with Newmanistan, we really do need a new host.

While I'd be hesitant to remove Qas as host without first hearing from him on the matter since he's obviously not completely AWOL, I'd also be available to take over as host if necessary as the other person to bid for this edition of the tournament.
