The Incorporated States of Bongo Johnson
Official Visitor's Guide

History of the Incorporated States

The Incorporated States of Bongo Johnson was officially formed in 2002. Prior to then, the Murbley Peninsula was home to six independent nations:

Nation/Capital/Population
Kalten - Shandon - 236,768
Tocanto - Beowere City - 98,244
Robejo - Pardellon - 411,492
Halien - Stratton - 9,194,205
Leckar - South Tip - 4,501,422
Undna - Las Englesas - 959,809

Out of these six regions, Halien and Leckar were the two largest countries and the worst of enemies. Halien, which spanned the northern border of what is now the I.S.B.J., constantly got into bitter political disagreements with Leckar, which existed on the southern tip of the peninsula. The rest of the nations, which divided amongst the land between the two bickering countries, were used as pawns in what became known as the Murblean Cold War. In an attempt to regain economic autonomy, the four middle nations signed a pact with Leckar in 1990 to become puppets supported by their central government. This pact became known as the Union of Burger, named after the city in which it was signed.

However, by 1999, Leckar's government had all but abandoned the four small nations in order to support their own citizens in the midst of an industrial economic downturn. This infuriated Halien and its people, and the resentment between the two nations grew exponentially. As the Cold War rapidly reached a head, news pundits often predicted that a great war would break out across the peninsula, displacing millions and causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians.

At the turn of the millennium, a man named Bongo Johnson announced his campaign for chancellor of Halien. His attitude towards Halien-Leckar relations was a reconciliatory one - an unpopular opinion that alienated him from his political peers. Nevertheless, on February 20, 2000, the citizens of Halien made their point clear - Bongo Johnson was Halien's last chance before war broke out. Johnson was elected chancellor in a landslide popular vote, beating the opposing warmonger party by nearly 2 million votes.

His first act was to fund aid for the four neglected and malnourished central Murbley nations. Johnson pledged to ensure each one became strong enough to stand on its own. One by one, the four nations began protesting Leckar's political control. Without the agriculture and infrastructure provided by Kalten, Tocanto, Robejo, and Undna to rely on, quality of life in Leckar began to plummet. The people of Leckar could no longer sit idly by as their leaders exceeded budget after budget of military spending with little to no societal improvement. Soon, there were riots in the streets of South Tip and members of the Senate were evacuated.

Ultimately, the strength of the north was undisputable and unignorable. As Leckar dissolved from the inside out, Bongo Johnson waited until just the right moment. With a complete governmental shutdown imminent in Leckar, Johnson gave a speech on the steps at Leckar's City Hall whose words are recited by every child in the Incorporated States. "Your wheat has grown thin, your leaders have raped and pillaged your countryside. We will help you. We will rebuild."

A proposal was drafted in Halien's capital, Stratton, to incorporate the six peninsula nations into one nation, with each region acting as its own state. By a vote of 38 to 5, an interim Leckar government approved the resolution and on May 8, 2002, the Incorporated States of Bongo Johnson was formed. The capital was officially moved to Murbley, a central city and the heart of the Murbley Peninsula.

The flag, first drawn by Charles Gamache, features the six nations united and portrayed as fireworks displaying their brilliance against a night sky. The two originally rivalrous nations, Halien and Leckar, are represented by the blue and purple colors. The northernmost flash on the flag is painted white, to represent the North Star that leads every citizen home.

Grid Corps XXXII

Postby Drawkland » Thu May 11, 2017 11:41 am

DRAWKLAND NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM (GRID CORPS)
World Bowl XXX Champions

Name: Grid Corps
Colors: Black with Crimson trim
Denonyms: Drawkian or Drawkish, personal preference
FIFTH World Bowl, Rank #2
Manager: Sam Willis
Head Coach: Quentin Averfel
Coordinators:
[O] Alex Gerhardt
[D] Mathis Southers
[ST] George Lindholm

The former champions of the World Bowl (XXX), the Grid Corps is practiced and prepared for this edition ... and hopes to repeat the success for edition XXXII. They are ready to win more championships, and to beat up on smaller teams on the way. The Grid Corps is strong and ready for anything. Despite some major changes, additions, and subtractions from the roster, the Corps knows they have more star power and can be successful.

DEPTH CHART
Here are the depth chart images for the Corps. Italicized players are ones which will normally start in a game at their specified positions, while unitalicized are backups for that position (but they may start at another position, so take note). Some players play both offense and defense, and/or have special teams roles, depending on their talents.

If you can't view the images, here is a link to the Google Sheet with the same info.

ROSTER
This may be confusing, so here:
The roster here is listed by number. Depth chart pictures will come soon. Then there's their name, obviously, and their main position acronym. Then there's their main position, positions that they're backups in the depth chart for, and then other positions, which is basically what they do on the special teams if it's notable. Then, of course, the team they play for in the Drawkian league. Bold guys are the captains that'll go out for coin tosses.

HERE is an article which details every member of their team and their strengths and weaknesses.

STRATEGY
The name of the game for the Grid Corps is aggression and power.

The offense of the Grid Corps is balanced, splitting up responsibilities for yardage between running and passing plays. None is really favored over the other, since everybody on the team is good, but in crunch time situations, they're likely to pass more than run (although running is still used to keep the defense honest). The base formation is usually a shotgun with the running back lining up a couple steps behind and right of the quarterback. The I formation is common, especially on third down and in the red zone. The pistol is also common, as well as a Pro Set or an H-back. The likely personnel for a given play would be RB-TE-TE-WR-WR, or RB-FB-TE-WR-WR. While they're run plays in the spread offense or in a singleback or power formation, it's not as common. Flea flickers, double passes, options, double/triple/quadruple handoffs, jet sweeps, all potential plays you can see coming from the Corps. They love to fake out defenses and woo the crowd with their antics, and so don't be surprised if you team sees them. Most running plays go to the inside unless the team they're playing can't cover the outside. Zone running, rather than power running, is more common. Fullback-led runs are also very common, especially on third down and in the red zone. A very common play is a triple option out of the I formation: it could be a fullback handoff, a halfback pitch, or a quarterback keeper. Pitch plays are also used a lot in the red zone. Passing plays have a lot of elements, but the most common ones are horizontal routes rather than vertical. The Grid Corps' go-to passing play features a tight end running a flat slant, another TE running a mid-yardage corner route, an HB running a flat or wheel route, a WR streaking, and a WR running a dig or out route. Deep plays are only called when the coverage is just right, and even then there's 2 or even 3 checkdown routes slanting underneath. When the game is tight, the Corps is excellent at the hurry-up offense, having a deep playbook to constantly keep the defense off guard.

The defense is also aggressive. Blitzing is very, very common, as the defense is fearless. Even on non-blitz plays, the defensive linemen go all out, and if a player's zone is totally empty, they'll start rushing to the pocket as well. Man blitzes on first down are a regularity, but you likely won't see more than 3 non-linemen blitzing on a play (unless it's goalline, of course). When an opposing offense is stuck inside the five, the Corps will likely come out with everyone except the safeties blitzing. Scoring safeties are the pride of the Grid Corps, and thus they'll go for it as much as possible. They'll also pack the line on the other goalline inside the five, but if a team is Down and Goal outside of the 7 or 8, they're likely to just pack the end zone with as many defensive backs as possible. When not in goalline formation, they'll usually opt for a 4-man rush. 4-3 is incredibly common unless they have a spy play going on or are trying to run a Prevent play. In general, the Corps plays zone defense, usually a cover 3. Their default play is a Cover 3 where the linebackers and corners have 4 zones underneath and the obvious 3 DBs deep with the 4-man rush. However, usually they'll start with man coverage until the team they're playing shows proficiency in beating man, then they'll switch to zone with man and the trademark blitzes thrown in. Blitzes themselves are commonly done by the linebackers, corner and safety blitzes are highly unlikely as the Defensive Coordinator doesn't like bringing too many guys out of coverage. Zone blitzes on crucial third downs have been known to happen.

Special teams for the Grid Corps is hallmarked by fake plays. Whether it's a misleading kick return (moving all the blockers to the opposite side of the field from where the ball is going), lateral returns even when the game doesn't depend on it, passes or runs from special teams formations, or even simply pretending to fumble the ball to pull rushers out of their lanes, the Corps practices it all. In addition, the defensive special teams is highly aggressive. Rushing on punt returns, super fast kick blocks, or even line hurdling (I'm just going to pretend that's still legal, because the NFL is stupid) to block kicks. This is made much easier by the physiology of the Corps of course.

PHYSIOLOGY
I recommend you read this. It contains important information on how Drawkians are different from your average human. In a nutshell, they're over 7 feet tall on average, and have larger proportions to match. Now, they're also lankier and less stocky all-around, but that doesn't mean some like a D-tackle can't get thick and muscular, it's not just not the average build. Now, this may conflict with some of your RPing preferences or make it harder to RP about us, so you're totally free to just ignore that and pretend we're the same as humans. That's totally your call, and I don't mind it either way.

PERMISSIONS
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my Scorers: Yes.
Choose Scoring Events: Yes.
Godmod Scoring Events: Hell yes.
RP Injuries to my Players: To an extent.
Godmod Injuries to my Players: Fine if it's funny.
Godmod Other Events: Literally anything.
Style Modifier: +3.5
As far as these go, do anything except kill or brutally injure my major starters (QB, RB, WR, etc). Other than that, free reign. TG if you want to collab.

The Iron Syndicate is a massive and futuristic country located in the Sea of Iron, between Rushmore and Esportiva and Atlantian Oceania, and that country is unique in that it's run by a large coalition of corporations that have banded together to bring a higher standard of life to their islands and to advance technological progress and prosperity. The country itself is made up of dozens of islands with varying climates, with the northern ones generally being warm, the southern ones generally being cool, and the middle ones being temperate. The nation has been self declared to be the Most Decadent Place On Earth, and is ruled by the Executive Board, an elected group of leaders that is responsible for all national decisions. The official leader of the country is the Chief Executive, and for now, that position is held by Augustus Darkstar, who is on his third term.

The country has something of a more modern tradition in gridiron football, with the Syndicate Gridiron League being a younger league and one that trails association football and rugby union in TV viewership numbers while maintaining a good attendance record. Despite being the younger and less popular league however, the sport has passed basketball in popularity and has also somewhat become bigger than rugby league, overtaking cricket as the Syndicate's fastest growing sport. With packed stadiums, rising viewership, and talented players that are finally gaining national attention and defying conventional norms, this kind of football is quickly on the rise. Now, the nation has a World bowl team too because of this, and after years of their brand of the game being isolated from the rest of the world, everyone will get to see what they have to offer.

TEAM INFO
Nickname: The Black Arrows
Colors: Black and Iron
Style Modifier: +4
Home Stadium: Camp Portus(83,000)
Fan Group: The Iron Guard is the number one supporter group for Syndicate sports, and can be spotted by the rowdy atmosphere they bring to every home and away game as well as their black and gold banners.
Offense: Ace
Defense: 3-4
Strategy: On offense, they'll attack with precision and use a quick offensive line and a single back in the running game, and four wide sets often in the passing game, sometimes employing a tight end that can run wide and stretch the field or go vertical. Their attack is a dynamic one that can strike from multiple areas, and they strictly use zone blocking in the running game to make up for their offensive line being smaller than some. In the passing game expect many passes underneath the defense that are short of the first down marker, giving their receivers chances to make plays. On defense, they aren't an amazing unit but they are good at focusing on the opponent's number one weapon and using teamwork to neutralize that player, and they're also specialists at getting big plays. In fact, you could say their defense relies on the big plays such as sacks and interceptions to keep their opponents from scoring, rather than consistency and stopping the more mundane plays regularly. Expect plenty of blitzes, and plenty of pressure regardless of if it works or not.

Federation of Allamunnic States
National Gridiron Team - The Regulars

Roleplay Information

Style Modifier: 0 (Neutral)
Going for Two: Logical
Roleplay Permissions
- Choose Scorers: Please TG first.
- Injure Players: Nothing beyond game-ending without TGing for approval.
- Penalize Players: Keep it reasonable, or TG for approval. The Regulars tend to be fairly well-disciplined.
- Godmod Injuries: Same as regular injuries. Please keep it reasonable or make it hilarious.
- Godmod Other Events: Keep previous permissions in mind. Have fun with it.
- Photographs: Please do not use photographs with any players intended to depict players on my team.
- Additional Notes:
- Team plays very physically.
- Offense is versatile, rotates heavily, and despite slightly favoring the run, utilizes up-tempo principles (combined with frequent rotation) to wear out opponents. Assume most players, unless otherwise noted, will see at least a little bit of playing time during a game (obviously with starters getting most).
- Defense utilizes multiple fronts, and plays aggressively. Although this might lead to giving up the occasional big play, it also leads to large numbers of sacks and turnovers.

Home Stadiums:

General Information

Overview:
After the brief, and embarrassing, interlude in which the Allamunnic States fielded two teams at World Bowl XXXI, the Allamunnic National Gridiron Team is once again a unified whole. Combining and promoting the coaching staff of the renegade Regulars' squad of WB31 while incorporating the beleaguered, but ultimately promising staff of the Allamunnic Sporting Commission's team, and incorporating members of both rosters, the revitalized Regulars look poised to build off of a third-place finish at World Bowl XXXI that saw them win bronze medal game over rising stars Banija.

The coaching staff now boasts four members with head coaching experience, including three-time World Bowl champion coach Ryan Smart at defensive coordinator, former Kaboomlandian head coach Kevin Nivek at offensive coordinator, Regulars' head coach Rik Olafsunn in the head job, and with ASC head coach Tomus Meyer as an assistant. The assistant coaching positions are loaded with former coordinators and long-time coaches and players alike, a veteran group poised to maximize the player talent at their disposal.

And significant player talent it is: the team boasts a 77-player roster, most of whom will receive at least some playing time in any given game. As a result of their substantial depth, the Regulars are likely to rotate heavily on both sides of the ball, utilizing a variety of fronts, personnel packages, and formations to take advantage of a loaded roster. Promising young talent bolsters a crew of veteran starters who have substantial experience playing together, tied together by a cadre of veteran rotating players who in equal parts push the playmakers and train the rookies.

Although the Commission has relearned its patience, and within reason, no jobs should be in danger this year barring a meltdown, it should almost go without saying that the expectations for this team are high, boasting a level of talent in both staff and roster that the team has seenfew times before.

Front Office & General Staff

Commissioner: Benjamin Jamesunn (Age: 70) - Following the brief, tumultuous, and, to a lesser extent, disastrous tenure of Gaarutt Kolvyn as Allamunnic Sporting Commissioner for the duration of World Bowl XXXI, long-time Allamunnic National Gridiron Team executive and administrator Benjamin Jamesunn was selected by the Board as the next Commissioner. Jamesunn has a strong grasp of the practices that have long enabled the National Gridiron Team to be successful, and has pledged a return to the patient approach that has yielded six championships since World Bowl XVI.

General Manager: Erik Warnur (Age: 53)
Director of Player Personnel: Anna Torrensunn (Age: 45)

Team Doctors:
Graagur Maarkussunn (Age: 65), Rynna Eriksunn (Age: 58), Daanyl Waalturs (Age: 45), Grenna Wyllur (Age: 35), Joanna Kaarbrynn (Age: 35),

Athletic Trainers:
Maarda Lindersunn (Age: 48), Bryndyn Nyurdlunn (Age: 47), Torren Udunsunn (Age: 43), Kaarl Mendelsunn (Age: 44), Inna Wyllur (Age: 41), Olaf Knutsunn (Age: 42), Maura Kaarlsunn (Age: 40), Kyl Maatysunn (Age: 38), Lyna Henriksunn (Age: 36), Shae Eriklunn (Age: 32)

Strength & Conditioning Staff:
Harald Vynnsunn (Age: 46), Junna Riktur (Age: 41), Aelus Morden (Age: 43)

Coaching Staff

Head Coach & Coordinators
Head Coach: Rikard Olafsunn (Age: 52) - After leading the renegade Regulars to a 15-3 campaign with a third-place finish, despite a limited roster and even more limited resources, Olafsunn was given the head job of the reunified national gridiron team. Olafsunn is very much a student of the Vaalburger school in terms of his emphasis on line play on both sides of the ball, but Olafsunn has also overseen one of the most explosive offenses in Allamunnic history, as well as a traditionally-stifling defense. His expertise on both sides of the ball, as well as a good feel for the overall organization and dedication to his players should put Olafsunn in position to return the national team to World Bowl prominence once more.

Offensive Coordinator: Kevin Nivek (KBL)(Age: TBA) - One of the biggest coups the National Team was able to land with the announcement of the program's reunification under a new commissioner was the hiring of recently-dismissed Kaboomlandian head coach Kevin Nivek to the vacant offensive coordinator's position. Nivek split a series with the Regulars in World Bowl XXXI, dealing a four-score loss to the team in an undefeated group stage campaign before falling to a red-hot Allamunnic squad in the Round of Sixteen, which ultimately sealed his fate. Nivek is an adaptable offensive mind with plenty of coordinator experience, who should help the Regulars add new wrinkles to a newly-explosive offense, while remaining true to their smashmouth roots.

Defensive Coordinator: Ryan Smart (Age: 49) - After the Innusburg Barons' ownership took a dim view of Smart's role in the firing of AGL company man Gaarutt Kolvyn from the Commissioner position, Smart found himself unemployed. Invited to become a coordinator for a team he once head coached for, under a man who had served as a relatively low-ranked assistant, the three-time champion head coach jumped at the chance. Smart oversaw a reworking of the playbook to give the defense more looks than it has had in years, in an effort to take advantage of the enlarged, talented personnel group. Smart is an aggressive play caller who will look to attack against both the run and the pass, dialing up blitzes and pressures from all directions, trusting his players to cover their responsibilities.

Special Teams Coordinator: Daanyl Mueller (Age: 69) - Long-time special teams coordinator Daanyl Mueller resumes his position with the reunification of the team, having earned the staff's trust after helping the Regulars turn what was once a traditional weakness into at times a position of strength, and, at other times, at least a phase which has proven not to be a liability. Mueller is notably anti-careerist, having actually declined to interview for the head coaching position following World Bowl XXXI, and only taking the special teams coordinator position back at Olafsunn's insistence, to instill a sense of discipline that had somewhat weakened in the unit.

Assistant & Position Coaches
Assistant Head Coach: Tomus Meyer (Age: 47) - Meyer was the head coach of the Allamunnic Sporting Commission's team at World Bowl XXXI. Despite a rocky start, he lead the team to win seven of its last ten games, and subsequently took a job assisting new head coach Rik Olafsunn with game planning.

Scout Offense Coach: Nikolus Urbyn (Age: 41) - Urbyn was the offensive coordinator for the Allamunnic Sporting Commission team at World Bowl XXXI. He will oversee the scout team offense, in an effort to give the Regulars good preparation for each week's opponent.

Scout Defense Coach: Bryndyn Aldyrsunn (Age: 55) - Aldyrsunn was a defensive line coach last year for the Commission's team. Aldyrsunn will oversee the scout team defense, in an effort to give the Regulars good preparation for each week's opponent.

Quarterbacks Coach: Maarkus Daalhulm (Age: 49) - Daalhulm was a long-time quarterback for the Regulars, and has also since served as their QB position coach for several years. Daalhulm was the offensive coordinator for the renegade Regulars at World Bowl XXXI, but returns to coaching the QBs this year.

Running Backs Coach: Haanryk Staalburg (Age: 48) - Staalburg was an all-world tailback during his time playing for the Regulars. His coaching has done much to turn Bryndyn Traewyk and Ella Kaarbrynn from promising prospects into devastatingly-effective rushers.

Tight Ends Coach: Zak Hall (Age: 41) - Hall was a long-time tight-end for the Regulars, serving as a reliable rotating hand, who, although never distinguishing himself statistically, showcased his skills as a technician quite frequently. His tutelage has helped Godwyn Braanur become a versatile weapon for the team.

Wide Receivers Coach: Mikel Dunn (Age: 50) - Dunn played several years as a wideout for both the Regulars and the Rikardsburg Ironmongers. The one-time deep-threat became more of a technician in his later years, and has since served the Regulars as a position coach for the receivers to pass on those skills.

Offensive Line Coach: Hanrik Wurfytur (Age: 46) - Long time Regulars guard Hanrik Wurfytur has settled in nicely as an offensive line coach, learning his trade under Baeryk Vaalburger, and serving as the team's offensive coordinator at World Bowl XXX. Wurfytur returns to offensive line coaching, overseeing a deep unit.

Offensive Line Assistant: Vaalhulm Rikken (Age: 40) - Former tackle Rikken is learning under Wurfytur in much the same way that Wurfytur learned under Vaalburger. He's a promising assistant who is especially useful in coaching the offensive tackles.

Defensive Line Coach: Theodur Laansur (Age: 48) - Long-time defensive tackle for the Regulars Theo Laansur has served as a coach for the unit he played for over the last several years, and was the Regulars' defensive coordinator at World Bowl XXX. Laansur had a varied enough skill set to complement his massive size that he's done a fairly good job coaching up his players.

Pass Rushers Coach: Archie Wagner (Age: 45) - Long-time defensive end Archie Wagner has returned as an assistant defensive line coach, focusing on coaching up the team's pass rushing specialists, both on the line and in the linebacking unit.

Linebackers Coach: Miles Ryan (Age: 47) - The one-time strong, flexible center of the defense, Miles Ryan has made a good name for himself coaching the team's linebackers, particularly the interior players, instilling a balanced skill set and disciplined mindset in the group.

Linebackers Assistant: Jason Ridley (Age: 47) - Former AGL journeyman Jason Ridley made a name for himself as a hardnosed, technically-skilled player who outplayed his undersized frame. As a result, Ridley has proven well-suited to instilling those same values in his players, especially the outside linebackers that he focuses on.

Defensive Backs Coach: Andrik Ierunmungur (Age: 47) - Andrik Ierunmungur joined the team as a rookie cornerback at World Bowl IX, and has served ever since as either a player or a coach. Ierunmunger is in charge of the secondary, and also served as the rag-tag Regulars' defensive coordinator at World Bowl XXXI.

Defensive Backs Assistant: Leif Coelmunn (Age: 40) - Former reserve safety Leif Coelmunn never amounted to more than a reserve and rotating player with the Regulars, simply due to a lack of overall talent, but his mind for the game was never in doubt. After serving as the coordinator for the Commission's team at World Bowl XXXI, Coelmunn returns to coaching the safeties.

Kicking Coach: Phillipa Demirici (Age: 55) - Another career-long Regular, Demirici retired as a player for the Regulars more than a decade ago, and has served as the team's kicking coach ever since. The consistent kicker has also served as the Special Teams Coordinator for the guerilla Regulars at World Bowl XXXI.

Returners Coach: Gretchen Vaalhulmsunn (Age: 42) - Gretchen Vaalhulmsunn is one of the newer additions to the veteran coaching staff, and is responsible for the kick returners, who have steadily improved under her tutelage.

Offense

Overview:
The Allamunnic teams saw more offensive variation at World Bowl XXXI than the country has seen in quite some time, with the Commission's team fielding a high-octane spread offense (that frequently sputtered) while the Regulars in principle used a smashmouth offense, although in practice they used multiple looks and were much more explosive than their official counterparts. With the new unified staff and roster, the offense looks to be more varied than it has since the days of Ryan Smart's head coaching tenure.

With that said, the basic philosophy that the team will operate from is unapologetically the one the Regulars have used for years: success begins on the line. Utilizing a deep unit of strong, athletic linemen, the Regulars have the foundation for success in both the pass and run games. The receiving corps is more explosive than it has been in years, and the running backs are more varied and dangerous than they have ever been, rejoining the two-headed monster of Bryndyn Traewyk and Ella Kaarbrynn, blocked for by Torren Tormundsunn. With the embarrassment of riches at their disposal, the team will attempt to have a greater run-pass balance in their play-calling this year, with the intent being to utilize the team's personnel properly.

One of the other big changes last year for the Regulars will also hold true. The team incorporated aspects of the up-tempo and no huddle offense, utilizing rapid personnel changes, formation changes, and quick play-calling to keep defenses off balance, not permitting opponents to adjust to the offense, while wearing them down with the power-based attack.

Despite changing fronts frequently, the Regulars will still usually default to a strong-I formation, allowing them to utilize Tormundsunn and play-making tight-end Godwyn Braanur. Generally-speaking, the team will utilize either two-back or two-tight end sets, with three or more wide receivers being utilized only situationally.

Starting Line-Up (2-1-2 Personnel)

LT#75 B. KAARLSUNN -- LG#68 J. STAAGHYRT -- CG#55 T. UNGUR -- RG#65 S. KNUTSUNN -- RT#59 D. MAARKS
WR#87 W. HOERST -- FB#45 T. TORMUNDSUNN -- QB#10 G. WYRTH -- TE#85 G. BRAANUR -- WR#80 O. HAENSLEY
HB#35 B. TRAEWYK

Players By Position

Quarterback:
#10 - Graagur Wyrth - QB - Age: 29; H: 6'4"; W: 237lbs - Rikardsburg, SM
#03 - Derrik Vykyrn - QB - Age: 24; H: 6'3"; W: 228lbs - Corvik, BW
#16 - Mathias Mueller - QB - Age: 21; H: 6’1”; W: 210lbs - Ardryk, AK

Following another campaign cut short by injury, Waldr Grenn made the Regulars’ QB competition simpler by departing for the AGL. That leaves the strong-armed, short ball-challenged Wyrth as the team’s starting quarterback. Wyrth played very well for the short-handed Regulars in World Bowl XXXI, including showing a previously-absent touch on short throws. Mueller showed good things, leading the ASC team last year to seven wins in its final ten games, displaying excellent decision-making and ball-placement that allowed him to make up for size and arm strength “deficiencies” (by Allamunnic standards, at least). Vykyrn rounds out the group as a versatile, mobile, and talented quarterback who sometimes holds onto the ball too long.

Halfbacks:
#35 - Bryndyn Traewyk - HB - Age: 26; H: 5'11"; W: 220lbs - Dunnmaar, BW
#22 - Ella Kaarbrynn - HB - Age: 27; H: 5'9"; W: 166lbs - Spaal, SP
#38 - Grenn Jordsunn - HB/FB - Age: 21; H: 6’2”; W: 239lbs - Roesburg, OW

After rushing for more yards in a World Bowl campaign than any previous Allamunnic player, Bryndyn Traewyk enters the 32nd World Bowl as the team’s starting tailback. Gifted with a devastating combination of excellent vision, explosiveness, and power, Traewyk is a legitimate scoring threat on every play, whether he is running outside or between the tackles. He is arguably the focal point of the Regulars’ entire offense. He is complemented by the also-excellent Ella Kaarbrynn, who, while lacking Traewyk’s power, is even more of a home-run threat on every touch. Kaarbrynn also has considerable skill as a receiver, both on the line or out of the backfield. They are joined by power back Grenn Jordsunn, a tailback who is mostly intended as a strength-based punch that the team can utilize to help close out games or in short-yardage situations.

Fullbacks:
#45 - Torren Tormundsunn - FB - Age: 28; H: 6'4"; W: 253lbs - Haalsten, UT - CAPTAIN
#82 - Udun Jaarlsunn - FB/TE - Age: 26; H: 6'6"; W: 262lbs - Corvik, BW

Bryndyn Traewyk may be the focal point of the Regulars’ offense, but Torren Tormundsunn is its soul and its engine, powering the running and passing games alike with crushing blocks, hard hits, and some ability with the ball in his hands. In an era when many teams don’t use a fullback at all, the man behind the Regulars’ guerilla campaign at World Bowl XXXI is the vocal and spiritual leader of the offense, and sets the tone for a physical, aggressive unit. Tormundsunn is backed up by hybrid fullback/tight end Udun Jaarlsunn, who has the size and strength to drive defenders off the line of scrimmage. Jaarlsunn's receiving abilities are respectable, if unremarkable, so he can see action at either position, especially in run-heavy formations.

Tight Ends:
#85 – Godwyn Braanur – TE - Age: 31; H: 6'7"; W: 255lbs – Kristinburg, ON
#88 - Junn Lindstrom - TE - Age: 30; H: 6'5"; W: 251lbs - Onneria, ON
#30 - Martyn Wyrmurs - TE - Age: 24; H: 6'4"; W: 242lbs - West Roan, AL

Teams can be forgiven for forgetting about Godwyn Braanur’s ability as a lead blocker; the explosive, sure-handed tight end has commanded so much attention as a piece of the Regulars’ dangerous, if traditionally inconsistent, passing game that it is easy to forget that he plays a key role in their running attack as well, and plays that role to perfection. Backing him up is the equally-versatile, if mildly less-talented Junn Lindstrom, a big-bodied target who can also block effectively. Meanwhile, Martyn Wyrmurs has the explosiveness and athleticism to be a dangerous receiving target, but needs considerable work on his blocking skills.

Wide Receivers:
#87 - Waldr Hoerst - WR - Age: 28; H: 6'5"; W: 220lbs - Innusburg, SM
#80 - Ole Haensley - WR - Age: 26; H: 6'2"; W: 210lbs - Rikardsburg, SM
#86 - Andrik Skyllur - WR - Age: 24; H: 6'1"; W: 211lbs - Roan, AL
#06 - Maark Aksvingur - WR - Age: 28; H: 6'0"; W: 210lbs - Hendriksburg, OW
#89 - Arnulf Faarynlunn - WR - Age: 23; H: 6’3”; W: 218lbs - Shornsburg, LT
#83 - Harlyn Wyrnur - WR - Age: 23; H: 6’2”; W: 212lbs - St. Mikel, ON

Following the renaissance of the Allamunnic offense at World Bowl XXXI, the Regulars embraced the receivers that helped Wyrth find success, extending contracts for the big, reliable Waldr Hoerst and the dangerous Ole Haensley. Hoerst is fantastic in his route-running and catching, his knack for moving the chains making up for a lack of top-end speed. Meanwhile, Haensley, though lacking Hoerst’s frame and physical dominance, is similar in skill-set while being quicker and generally more of a nuisance to defensive backs. They are supplemented by the similarly-well-rounded Andrik Skyllur and Maark Aksvingur, two reasonably experienced receivers who can do everything asked of them, though lacking any specialized skills. Arnulf Faarynalunn and Harlyn Wyrnur are promising young targets who had solid debuts for the ASC team at WB31, with ample explosiveness and good hands making them a good hope for the future, although their route-running and finer techniques still leave something to be desired.

Slot Receivers:
#12 - Emma Kaarlsunn - SR - Age: 29; H: 5'10"; W: 164lbs - Vaalhulmspurt, LT
#84 - Andya Haartly - SR/RS - Age: 22; H: 6’0”; W: 168lbs - Erikspurt, NY
#81 - Veronika Riggs - SR/RS - Age: 22; H: 5’11”; W: 172lbs - Haelsburg, HL

Emma Kaarlsunn is a long-time hand for the Regulars, a reliable, chain-moving target who can make plays when given the ball in space. Kaarlsunn is unfortunately somewhat underused, but should see good play time this year out of the slot in a more versatile offense. Andya Haartly and Veronika Riggs were promising newcomers to the ASC team last year and who showed enough potential to earn second looks, allowing them to develop. Both of them operate broadly in Kaarlsunn’s mold, although Haartly is a little more of a threat in traffic, while Riggs is a little more explosive after the catch. Neither one is likely to see loads of play time unless Kaarlsunn goes down, but they might see some snaps on special teams.

Left Tackles:
#75 - Bryndyn Kaarlsunn - LT - Age: 27; H: 6'6"; W: 327lbs - Harrensburg, HR
#63 - Torren Rikardsunn - LT - Age: 28; H: 6'5"; W: 313lbs - Dahlburg, PK
#78 - Rikard Waalburg - LT - Age: 21; H: 6'6"; W: 319lbs - Kleinsburg, HR

The blind side is anchored by a duo of rotating tackles, both very capable, strong pass protectors. Bryndyn Kaarlsunn is the more versatile of the two, a strong pass protector and run blocker alike. Torren Rikardsunn is an excellent pass protector, and while he is capable as a run blocker, it is not his forte. Rikard Waalburg is a younger tackle who is learning the left side position after playing right tackle last year, but he shows promise in both types of blocking.

Left Guard:
#68 - Jorvik Staaghyrt - LG - Age: 26; H: 6'3"; W: 310lbs - Vaddurhulm, OW
#76 - Fradryk Nyurdsunn - LG - Age: 22; H: 6’3”; W: 314lbs - Daalhulm, FY
#70 - Jormund Haagtynd - LG - Age: 21; H: 6’4”; W: 309lbs - Udunsfurd, FL

The left guard for the Regulars is a player who must be in equal parts strong and athletic, capable of being a driving lead blocker or a pulling guard sweeping out pursuers. To that end, Jorvik Staaghyrt is the best left guard on the roster, balancing the power, aggression, and athleticism necessary to help drive the Allamunnic rushing attack (and sufficient to keep the passing game going). Fradryk Nyurdsunn is more balanced than Staaghyrt, but lacks his flair for run blocking. Jormund Haagtynd is more athletic than Staaghyrt and Nyurdsunn both, but lacks the power to be at home as a lead blocker, for the time being.

Center Guard:
#55 - Tyrrus Ungur - CG - Age: 26; H: 6'4"; W: 309lbs - Dyrm, NY
#60 - Bryndyn Ulfsunn - CG - Age: 23; H: 6’3”; W: 318lbs - Joergun, DK
#72 - Kaarl Eriksunn - CG - Age: 22; H: 6’2”; W: 302lbs - Broomfeld, NW

The center of the line is anchored by Tyrrus Ungur, who possesses the same skillset as the guards, complementing his sure-handed snaps. Ungur is one of the relatively few offensive linemen who rotates only rarely, possessing excellent stamina to stay through much of the game. Bryndyn Ulfsunn is an effective center, but he lacks Ungur’s flair and skill to balance his snaps and his blocking. Kaarl Eriksunn is a relatively light center who is best-suited to pass protection, but can acquit himself solidly in run blocking.

Right Guard:
#65 - Snaari Knutsunn - RG - Age: 28; H: 6'4"; W: 310lbs - Corvik, BW
#52 - Rikard Kynyk - RG - Age: 29; H: 6'3"; W: 317lbs - Broomfeld, NW
#67 - Margus Brynnur - RG - Age: 22; H: 6’3”; W: 308lbs - Erikspurt, NY

Snaari Knutsunn is one of the leaders of the offense, an aggressive, powerful blocker who leads the way effectively for the Regulars’ powerful rushing attack. He can also do some damage as a pass protector, but run blocking is his true passion. Rikard Kynyk is a well-balanced technician at guard, able to spell Knutsunn effectively, but without his level of competitive fire. Margus Brynnur is an effective, but still learning young guard who has shown signs of promise as a blocker in both phases of the offense.

Right Tackle:
#59 - Derrik Maarks - RT - Age: 29; H: 6'5"; W: 326lbs - Aldhuld, PK
#50 - Baeryk Astyr - RT - Age: 25; H: 6'4"; W: 305lbs - Hendriksburg, OW
#54 - Bronn Hendriks - RT - Age: 27; H: 6'5"; W: 319lbs - Skarrsboro, US

Derrik Maarks is a road-grading offensive tackle, a capable pass protector and dominating run blocker on the right side edge. Baeryk Astyr showed good signs as the right edge tackle for the short-handed Regulars in World Bowl XXXI, but he’ll be a heavily-rotating back-up this time around. Astyr plays larger than his size, and is at his best when he has the opportunity to go on the attack. Bronn Hendriks is more balanced as a player, capable as a run blocker and pass protector, and is effective, if not remarkable, in both dimensions.

Defense

Overview:
The Regulars defense will be overseen by one-time head coach, and first-time coordinator Ryan Smart. Smart takes over a unit that played well, but had a few difficulties during World Bowl XXXI. Like on the other side of the ball, the primary challenge is in learning how to adequately utilize the team's substantial personnel. Smart has taken advantage by introducing new looks and fronts into an already-versatile defense, all while bringing an aggressive mentality to the defense.

The main constant for the unit is the base line unit and the strong-side linebacker, with four of the front seven remaining stable in the front: the line trio of Odyn Grahulm, Rikard Theodur, and Piotr Farrangur, assisted by SAM linebacker Fradrik Eriksunn can ably attack the run and pass alike. They are aided by a rotating cast at the seventh slot, a position usually filled by one of two pass rushers in Aldryk Jaarlsunn and Olaf Rynnur (who rotate based on the front being used), and a pair of two-man platoons that rotate at the middle and weak-side linebacker spots.

The back end of the defense is reasonably stable, with big, athletic cornerbacks in Rikard Junnsunn and Kaarl Bronn manning the edges, assisted by ball hawking safety Lyna Donalsunn and hard-hitting backfield enforcer Claetus U'Daanyl. The team moves back and forth frequently between Covers 1, 2, and 3, moving U'Daanyl in and out of the tackle box as necessary. Smart will not hesitate to move the team between a 3-4-4, 4-3-4, 5-2-4, 5-3-3, 4-4-3, 4-2-5, 3-3-5, 3-2-6, 2-3-6, 4-1-6, and goal line packages as necessary; he has the personnel among each group to make them all effective.

Players By Position

Defensive End:
#66 - Odyn Grahulm - DE - Age: 22; H: 6'4"; W: 308lbs - Dunnmaar, BW
#64 - Mikel Bronnsunn - DE - Age: 30; H: 6'2"; W: 310lbs - Andersburg, BW
#69 - Alaryk Skmyt - DE - Age: 23; H: 6’0”; W: 302lbs - Grimmeburg, VY

Despite his youth, Odyn Grahulm did good things last year as the Regulars’ strong-side defensive end. Although Grahulm’s main strength lies in stuffing the run, he can also contribute handily to the pass rush in a pinch. Career backup Mikel Bronnsunn returns as a rotating player to spell Grahulm. Although less explosive than the young starter, Bronnsunn tends to acquit himself well against the run. Finally, young reservist Alaryk Skmyt returns, a well-rounded, if inexperienced end who will likely see only light playing time due to the talent ahead of him.

Nose Tackle:
#96 – Rikard Theodur – DT/NT - Age: 32; H: 6'4"; W: 327lbs – Roan, AL
#90 - Nyurd Svaartwynn - NT - Age: 28; H: 6'5"; W: 338lbs - Murt, NY
#91 - Baard Ulryk - NT - Age: 21; H: 6’4”; W: 334lbs - Corvik, BW

The space-eating nose tackle job has been taken over by veteran tackle Rikard Theodur. Although Theodur lacks the heft sometimes associated with the nose tackle position, he has the run-stuffing sensibilities and the strength to command a double team down to a point where he is a capable player at the spot. He also has the versatility to stay on the field in 4-3 looks. Behind him, Nyurd Svaartwynn is more typical of nose tackles, having a slightly larger frame and more bulk. Although lacking Theodur’s disruptive playmaking capabilities, Svaartwynn is an even better run-stuffer. Baard Ulryk showed enough promise last year on the ASC team to keep a spot on the new roster, and even has flashed well enough to likely continue to get some playing time, even if his snap count is likely to remain fairly low for now.

Defensive Tackle:
#95 - Piotr Farrangur - DT - Age: 30; H: 6'6"; W: 317lbs - Dunnmaar, BW - CAPTAIN
#93 - Harald Baaltrlunn - DT - Age: 27; H: 6'4"; W: 316lbs - Wyndursburg, OW
#74 - Joran Haargrave - DT - Age: 22; H: 6’3”; W: 319lbs - Alderhall, HR

Regulars’ defensive captain Piotr Farrangur returns, a play-making veteran on the defensive interior who can continue to make big things happen against both the run and the pass. Harald Baaltrlunn is a capable, well-rounded defensive tackle who can rotate with Farrangur to spell him as necessary. Finally, the tackles are rounded out by Joran Haargrave, a younger hand who got his start last year with the ASC squad and showed enough promise to continue on the new team, likely with a steady rotating role with Baaltrlunn.

Pass Rush Specialist:
#94 - Olaf Rynnur - DE/PRS - Age: 27; H: 6'4"; W: 278lbs - Sorfurd, SM
#43 - Ardryk Jaarlsunn - PRS - Age: 27; H: 6'6"; W: 268lbs - Corvik, BW
#44 - Kaarl Voegyl - LB/PRS - Age: 22; H: 6'4"; W: 265lbs - Roan, AL

The pass rush specialist position is a hybrid position that combines the weak (right) side defensive end and the joker linebacker position. Olaf Rynnur and Aldryk Jaarlsunn will both see a significant amount of playing time, depending on the fronts being utilized by the defense at any given time. Although both are capable of playing as a down lineman, as a linebacker, or an end in a two-point stance, Rynnur is better as a down lineman, while Jaarlsunn plays better out of a two-point stance. Kaarl Voegyl is a little less effective as a pass-rusher, if only because of how good Rynnur and Jaarlsunn are at rushing the passer. Voegyl is more well-rounded, however, and can play as a true outside linebacker in a 3-4, balancing the duties of pass rush, run-stopping, and coverage with capability. As a result, all three should see significant playing time.

Strong-Side Linebacker:
#98 - Fradrik Eriksunn - SLB - Age: 27; H: 6'4"; W: 261lbs - Haargyld, SM
#99 - Izaak Skyldhaaltur - SLB - Age: 22; H: 6’2”; W: 260lbs - Vaddurhulm, OW
#57 - Faeryk Joergsunn - SLB - Age: 21; H: 6’4”; W: 263lbs - Aldhuld, PK

The strong side linebacker position is still manned by Fradrik Eriksunn, who has developed over the last several years as an impact player at the position, a hammer against the run and a capable defender against the pass, able to stick well to tight ends and fullbacks, although having some problems against speedier receivers in the inside, but with enough gridiron IQ to make plays based on knowledge and instinct. Izaak Skyldhaaltur and Faeryk Joergsunn are young defenders who are learning their role behind the devestatingly-effective Eriksunn, with the athleticism and strength to be capable fill-in players in a pinch. Both are good enough at their roles to rotate with each other fairly freely, and either one might spell Eriksunn, but Eriksunn will take the majority of the snaps at the position.

Middle Linebacker:
#49 - Rikard Eriksunn - MLB - Age: 27; H: 6'4"; W: 252lbs - Arksfurd, OW
#51 - Sfyn Vaedurly - MLB - Age: 23; H: 6'2"; W: 251lbs - Hendriksburg, OW
#56 - Kaarl Jornur - MLB - Age: 25; H: 6'2"; W: 253lbs - Skaarphulm, LT

With Junn Haaldur finally retired, the inside linebacker position has become a platoon effort, with rangy, athletic playmaker Rikard Eriksunn taking the majority of snaps at the position, but with frequent rotation in by the talented and instinctive, if raw Sfyn Vaedurly. Behind both, Kaarl Jornur is a capable back-up who can fill in effectively to spell the other two. Jornur’s main strength is as a tackler, and doesn’t flow as smoothly to the ball as Eriksunn and Vaedurly, but would be a serviceable starter if called upon.

Weak-Side Linebacker:
#42 - Bryndyn Nyurdsunn - WLB - Age: 29; H: 6'2"; W: 248lbs - Vaddurhulm, OW
#47 - Margus Corwynn - WLB - Age: 22; H: 6'3"; W: 249lbs - Haensley, SM
#48 - Aeryn Warryk - WLB - Age: 22; H: 6’3”; W: 243lbs - Laedynburg, BW

Since Kyl Waalturs opted to leave the team when Haaldur retired, the weak-side linebacker has also become a multiplayer effort, with long-time back-up Bryndyn Nyurdsunn taking the starting snaps. However, Nyurdsunn will share a lot of playing time with the talented young Margus Corwynn, a linebacker with natural pursuit instincts and the athleticism needed to make big plays for the defense. Aeryn Warryk gave good looks as a back-up linebacker on the ASC team last year, enough to earn him another chance as a developing player behind Nyurdsunn and Corwynn.

Left Cornerback:
#09 - Rikard Junnsunn - LCB - Age: 29; H: 6'1"; W: 210lbs - Leifspurt, HR
#07 - Bryndyn Witt - LCB/NB - Age: 23; H: 6'1"; W: 214lbs - Harrensburg, HR
#29 - Clay Baartunn - LCB - Age: 31; H: 6'0"; W: 207lbs - Northuld, NW

The more demanding left cornerback spot is still manned by “lock-down” corner Rikard Junnsunn. Junnsunn has the size and athleticism to stay with even the best receivers, and cover them adequately against all but the best of throws. Bryndyn Witt distinguished himself as the Regulars’ right cornerback last year on a shorthanded squad, but his size and ability as a pass rusher and run-stopper make him a more natural fit for the left side of the defense. Witt can also play as a third safety, if necessary. Clay Baartunn is a veteran corner that is beginning to lose a step as he ages, but still has the necessary athleticism to be effective in coverage, still on the back half of his prime.

Strong Safety:
#23 - Claetus U'Daanyl - SS - Age: 23; H: 6'1"; W: 210lbs - Corvik, BW
#17 - Aldryk Baerunsunn - SS/NB - Age: 22; H: 6’1”; W: 218lbs - Skarrsboro, US
#18 – Mikel Ulrik – SS - Age: 33; H: 6’0”; W: 215lbs – Kristinburg, ON

Claetus U’Daanyl proved himself the backfield enforcer of the future for the Allamunnae last year in a guerilla campaign with the Regulars, an effective coverage man both in zone and man coverages, as well as a crushing tackler and situational pass-rusher. Aldryk Baerunsunn is similar to U’Daanyl, but lacks U’Daanyl’s precocious polish as a player, relying more on his size and his athleticism to carry him in man coverage and as a last line of defense, while occasionally proving vulnerable in zone coverage or against cannier receivers. The aging Mikel Ulrik is the sharpest of the bunch but has lost some of his speed as he enters the home stretch of his career. Ulrik is now most effective when playing as an extra linebacker, but he is mercifully still not a liability in coverage.

Free Safety:
#08 - Lyna Donalsunn - FS - Age: 28; H: 5'10"; W: 154lbs - Innusburg, SM
#05 - Anke Baenty - FS/CB - Age: 23; H: 5'10"; W: 177lbs - Kaepenhulm, UT
#02 - Wyllun Hardisunn - FS - Age: 21; H: 6’0”; W: 198lbs - Rynnurspurt, ON

Lyna Donalsunn remains as the Allamunnic team’s leading free safety, an athletic ball-hawk with a nose for big plays. However, after her revelatory year with the guerilla Regulars, Anke Baenty now joins Donalsunn as a rotating player on the defense’s back-end, a more sure-tackler with only mildly less skill in coverage. Meanwhile, Wyllun Hardisunn is something of a hybrid safety and cornerback, who will likely not see heavy playing time except in blow-outs, or if truly catastrophic levels of injury plague the team. Still, he is promising enough to earn a roster spot while he learns his trade.

Right Cornerback:
#14 - Kaarl Bronn - RCB - Age: 29; H: 6'0"; W: 206lbs - Vylfhuld, BW
#15 - Soryn Laands - RCB/NB - Age: 28; H: 6'0"; W: 203lbs - Amburg, ON
#31 - Kaarltunn Gaaruttsunn - RCB - Age: 22; H: 6’0”; W: 205lbs - Haefeld, DK

Kaarl Bronn will once more play the cornerback role opposite to Rikard Junnsunn, another athletic, skilled corner who should be able to help keep opposing receivers in check. Bronn is not as exceptionally capable as Junnsunn, but is still not a player to be tested lightly. Soryn Laands is a competent corner, although he trends more towards being a ballhawk rather than a lock down corner, meaning that while he sometimes gives up plays, he is also disproportionately likely to come down with interceptions. Kaarltunn Gaaruttsunn was a new addition to the ASC team, and acquitted himself well enough to earn a role as a rotating reserve cornerback. There is not much significant drop-off between Laands and Gaaruttsunn, although Gaaruttsunn’s play style is more similar to Bronn and Junnsunn’s than Laands’.

Special Teams

Overview:
Although the Regulars have long had a strong kicking and punting game, they have at times been plagued by special teams gaffes on kick and punt coverage, with lapses at times putting the team in holes that they were unable to climb out of. Over the last several years, the Regulars have improved in that department, to a point where special teams can no longer be considered an actual weakness, even if it is not always quite the strength that some other aspects of the team's game are. As a team that is more than willing to play the game of field position, its punting unit is of particular importance, and Wyatt Skode, a skilled punter, is central to the team's defensive strategy.

Players By Position

Placekicker:
#46 - Kaarl Hunt - K - Age: 28; H: 6'2"; W: 225lbs - Lyndur, AK
#32 - Vaeryna Joergun - K - Age: 23; H: 5’10”; W: 173lbs - Nortwatch, NW

The Regulars now carry two place-kickers on the roster. Kaarl Hunt has a stronger leg, and so will handle most kickoffs (excluding on-side and squib kicks), as well as longer-distance field goals. Vaeryna Joergun is a more consistent, accurate kicker, who lacks Hunt’s leg strength. As such, more specialist work, such as on-side and squib kicks, as well as PATs and chip-shot field goals, will be handled by her.

Punter:
#04 – Wyatt Skode – P - Age: 37; H: 6'0"; W: 215lbs – Vymsburg, VY - CAPTAIN
#19 - Junn Wylsunn - P - Age: 22; H: 6’0”; W: 245lbs - Roan, AL

The Allamunnic special teams captain, Wyatt Skode returns as the team’s primary punter. Skode has exceptional control and precision as a kicker, supplementing great leg strength. Skode is also the holder on PATs and distant field goals. Junn Wylsunn lacks Skode’s fine control and precision, but has an even better leg. Wylsunn may handle punts when the Regulars are deep in their own territory, but otherwise won’t see much use unless Skode is injured.

Return Specialist:
#21 - Anna Eriklunn - RS/HB - Age: 27; H: 5'7"; W: 158lbs - Dunnmaar, BW
#11 - Jana Graelunn - RS/SR - Age: 30; H: 5'8"; W: 162lbs - Vaesthuld, VY

Reserve running back Anna Eriklunn returns to full-time kick return duty. The small, explosive back is at her best in space with the ball, and so is a natural on both kick and punt returns, agile, able to slip clumsy tackles, and use her excellent burst when given room. She is aided by slot receiver Jana Graelunn, who can catch more securely than Eriklunn can, but is not quite as explosive, being older.

Long Snapper:
#71 - Vaargus Kynt - LS/CG - Age: 27; H: 6'2"; W: 285lbs - Trynt, OW
#39 - Lana Kaarlsunn - LS/HB - Age: 22; H: 5’11”; W: 195lbs - Aldertunn, SM

Reserve center Vaargus Kynt returns to being the team’s primary long-snapper, as he is skilled both in snapping and in blocking on kicking plays. Reserve tailback Lana Kaarlsunn serves as a reserve long-snapper and general special teams player who can do duty on kick-offs and kick returns.

Utility Players:
#01 - Rowan Daanyls - ATH - Age: 22; H: 6'0"; W: 185lbs - Trynt, US

Rowan Daanyls, officially listed only as an “athlete” has been kept on the roster due to her versatility, varied skill set, and general use as a utility player. Daanyls has the skills and athleticism necessary to play as a receiver, running back, or quarterback on offense, or in the defensive secondary. She is also capable as a returner, or can take on other roles on special teams, such as an upback on punt plays. Daanyls is a gadget player who might be used on any given play in a variety of looks; her presence on the field should prompt caution from opponents.

Kaboomlandia Phoenix National Gridiron Football Team

The Kaboomlandia Phoenix went undefeated in the group stage of World Bowl 31, then rolled over the United States of Devonta. Unfortunately, the team's run ended there with a loss to Allamunnic States. After the team choked in the playoffs, some changes came. Some older players were replaced, but notably, head coach Kevin Nivek was fired by the team. Former offensive coordinator Ryan MacLeod steps into the top spot. Though the team was looking outwards for a candidate, they were unable to find one in time and promoted MacLeod. He brings a new, more offensive style of football that focuses on the spread option to take some pressure off an aging Andrew Michaels. The new offensive coordinator is Aspertia's head coach, Mike McCarty.

MILOSCIA NATIONAL FREEDOM FIGHTERS

The Miloscians were in the World Bowl for the first time in their short history, and they were excited. The Miloscia Football League and its 10 teams were skyrocketing in popularity in just their 3rd season in existence, and football had therefore become the unofficial national sport. The people had rejected the original proposed name, the Miloscia National Team, in favor of a name with an actual nickname. The freedom-loving Miloscians chose the Freedom Fighters in a fan vote to nickname the team. So it would be the Miloscia National Freedom Fighters that would be walking into Bongo Johnson for their first World Bowl, and many, many Miloscians were making the trip just to watch.

TEAM INFO
Nation: Miloscia
Name: Miloscia National Freedom Fighters
Colors: Red, blue, and white
Denonym: Miloscian
FIRST World Bowl, Unranked
Home Stadium: The Defenderdome, Miloscia City
Strategy: The Freedom Fighters are a very balanced offensive team, never heavily relying on one aspect of their game, and well-known for constantly experimenting with plays. Their offense is deep, but they don't have a true star. The defense is quick and agile, often getting picks, with heavy focus on a strong secondary. Blitzes usually only happen on suspected running plays or short yardage situations, and on every other play, they alternate between zone (usually 3rd down) and man (usually 2nd). Their D-line is not very efficient, but their linebackers are well-trained to get both picks and sacks. Like the offense, the unit is deep, but without a true star.

Gregoryisgodistan Grid Slaves
Style modifier = -5

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following: Anything at all except killing, wounding, or otherwise committing a violent crime against Lord Almighty Gregory, provided I can reciprocate.
Style Modifier: -5

Most Gregoryisgodistanis (that is the demonym) do not have real names, only titles and government IDs. For instance, our starting quarterback is Zookeeper ZNZ949AHX. This means his job is Zookeeper and his government ID is ZNZ949AHX. Government IDs do not change throughout one's life, but titles may. For instance, our quarterback was formerly known as Youth ZNZ949AHX until he turned 18, then Lion Tamer ZNZ949AHX while he worked as a Lion Tamer, before becoming a Zookeeper and acquiring his current title. He should be referred to by his full name at all times, never ZNZ949AHX. A few high-ranking government elites have personal names.

Gregoryisgodistan normally goes with 2 wide receivers, 1 tight end, a halfback, and a fullback on offense, but may use other sets, such as 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB, etc.

On defense, our base is a 4-3-4 (4 linemen, 3 linebackers, 4 backs) but we also use a 4-2-5 nickel from time to time, and occasionally, a 3-2-6 dime. We NEVER play prevent defense.)

Our defense is very strong, but our offense is mediocre at best. Most of our scores are either directly scored by the defense or scored by the defense setting up the offense with good field position. We also frequently will use Defected Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher (more on him later) as a blitzing linebacker, meaning we're sending five men.

That being said, in spite of our mediocre offense and -5 style modifier, we are very aggressive and known to use trick plays. If style mod really were style mod and not skill mod called style mod for some reason, we would be +5, because our offense and defense are both very aggressive. The thing is that our offense, while known to go deep and call strange plays, usually fails spectacularly. And our aggressive defense usually succeeds, though it can give up a big play if it fails. Expect lots of sacks and turnovers when we're on defense, and a number of trick plays when we're on offense which may or may not work.

Note: our head coach calls all plays, unlike most teams.

What is an Enemy Crusher? And why are they all so fat?
Enemy Crushers work for the government to crush people as an "enhanced interrogation" technique to get them to confess. Many of them die if they don't confess in time. They are fat in order to successfully inflict pain upon the torturee. That's why most die. The Enemy Crushers also crushed to death multiple referees, plus several players, coaches, and fans of the the opposing teams since Gregoryisgodistan's debut. You have been warned. Also, Enemy Crusher Piotr von Porker is the brother of the late Samuel "Porky" von Porker who was executed in Free Republics for crushing someone to death during World Bowl XXII He will likely look for revenge if Gregoryisgodistan winds up playing the Republicans again. Furthermore, the enemy crushers have gained a lot of weight since the last World Bowl and will be doing even more crushing.

Is Enemy Crusher Carl Paladino related to the politician from New York?
No, and he will crush to death anyone who asks him that. So don't try, unless you want to be crushed to death.

Did Darrelle Revis and Brian Urlacher really defect to Gregoryisgodistan?
No, but the government claims to have kidnapped them. Following the Baptism of Iron, in which "Uralcher" was named MVP of the final, the two "kidnapped NFL players" claimed they liked Gregoryisgodistan so much that they wanted to live here forever, even though Lord Almighty Gregory offered them the opportunity to leave. But in reality, they are just random Gregoryisgodistanis who are good at football who were instructed to pretend to be Urlacher and Revis. Keep in mind that everyone in the country believes the official government story because they are so propagandized, even though "Urlacher" and "Revis" look nothing like their real counterparts.

"Liked Gregoryisgodistan so much and decided to stay here forever" sounds an awful lot like Stockholm Syndrome, considering they were allegedly kidnapped, right?
It is often debated among Gregoryisgodistanis whether it is Stockholm Syndrome or true love of the country, and in fact both players mentioned Stockholm Syndrome then specifically denied it. A recent survey showed that 76% of Gregoryisgodistanis believe the two genuinely love this country, 24% believe it is Stockholm Syndrome, and 0% believe the "absurd foreign propaganda" that the players are not really who they supposedly are.

You do realize Darrelle Revis doesn't play for the Jets, anymore, right?
Exactly, and the official government story is that he no longer plays for the Jets because he was kidnapped and later defected. In reality, he was traded to the Buccaneers and eventually wound up with the Patriots.

And Urlacher's retired, you know?
Yes, but the official story is we kidnapped him and he defected permanently.

How should I refer to these two in my RP's?
By their official names, but feel free to use irony quotes to imply doubt as to the name's veracity.

What's a pervert chaser? Sounds creepy.
It really isn't. They chase down people who commit sex crimes like mooing, rape, molestation, or indecent exposure, then cut their privates off with a butcher's knife. Without any anesthetic or Novocaine. Don't be a pervert in Gregoryisgodistan. Or a Pervert Chaser will catch you.

Are all the von Streudels related?
Yes, they are brothers.

What is a Grammar Enforcement Officer?
A Grammar Enforcement Officer is a law enforcement officer in Gregoryisgodistan who is responsible for enforcing the use of proper grammar. Using improper grammar is punishable by 28 days in a grammar reeducation camp under Gregoryisgodistani law. The Grammar Enforcement Officers enforce this law. There are also Spelling Enforcement Officers, Mathematics Enforcement Officers, and Speaking Enforcement Officers, Vocabulary Enforcement Officers, and respective reeducation camps.

Ha! What if I say "I'm not going to no Grammar Reeducation Camp?" That's a double negative, but if you send me to a Grammar Reeducation Camp, then I'm not going to no Grammar Reeducation Camp, so really it was correct. But if you don't send me to a Grammar Reeducation Camp, then you should have, so your Grammar Enforcement Officers will be running around forever. MWAHAHAHAHA!

*Ahem* Interfering with a Grammar Enforcement Officer is a capital offense. Don't try it.

Home:
A few tournamnts ago, Gregoryisgodistan's football uniform manufacturer vanished off the face of the Earth without notice (OOC: CTE'd and deleted the images from PhotoBucket), and the Grid Slaves didn't have time to acquire any decent sort of new uniform on proper notice, so they wore clown costumes borrowed from Gregoryisgodistan Clown College. They did so well, they decided to keep wearing them. They look like this.

Image

In accordance with Gregoryisgodistani laws on clowning, they will also be painting their faces and wearing the wig, although you won't see the latter under the helmet.)

Home games will be played at Lord Almighty Gregory Stadium in the Capital District. It seats 175,617. It is also the home of the soccer team. The image below shows it for soccer.

World Bowl XXXII continues the evolution of Barunian gridiron. With a new lot of funding, this team is the largest the Sea Cows have ever had. For the first time, players are not being required to double up in offence and defence. The team has benefitted from a new batch of players coming through the ranks of Karl Marx University, the home of Barunian gridiron. With a big team, and some even bigger announcements on the way, Barunia are looking forward to a massive World Bowl.

Team Name and Kits
The team name is the Barunia Sea Cows, and take their name from the Barunian Sea Cow, or White Dugong, a rare Sirenian which is known to live only in the deep sea and coastal water around Barunia. Team kits utilise the three colours of the Barunian flag, with the helmets in yellow, a colour often associated with Barunian sports. The distinctive white stripe flanked by two thin red lines on the flag is a dominant feature in the kit; it features on the socks, the side of the pants, the shoulders of the shirts, and down the centre of the helmet.

Play Style
The Sea Cows have a built a reputation as a difficult team to score against, with their games often low scoring affairs. A well-skilled defensive unit with some hard hitters has formed the bedrock of their success. Offensively, the Sea Cows will always favour the running game, with the team happy to drive the length of a field solely on rushes. Tight ends and H-Backs are widely used, and are often the favoured receivers of long passes. The Barunians have turned their inexperience with the game into unpredictability, and they are fully prepared to take risks (such as playing on fourth down) and crazy plays in an effort to keep the opposition guessing. The special teams unit is very good, and field goals are a common occurrence - to the point where kicker Bill Holman led the team in points scored at WBXXVIII.

Lisander National Gridiron Team

State of lisanderian gridiron football
Lisander doesn't have a national gridiron football league. The principal league of the sport is the Liga Académica Nacional, with 4 universities. AGFA, the Association of Gridiron Football Athletes of Lisander, the first association of the country, currently have plans to a Arena League. Arena Gridiron is the main variant of Gridiron in Lisander, and this team is currently the Champion of Arena Bowl.

Other previous participation in International Gridiron includes a 15th place in NSCF9 for University of Saint Michael Archangel. The same team also played Amateur American Football League, and earned a place in Wildcard, before the league fold. Lisander also placed a university students team to World Bowl XXII but failed to qualify.

The Team
20 players, chosen between the alumni of the LAN, will participate in the WB32, and after it, will be drafted to the teams of the new Arena league (that still don't have a date to start).

Schedule:
MD1: v Taeshan
MD2: v Desertfoxenland
MD3: v New Dukaine
MD5: v Cosumar
MD6: v Taeshan
MD7: v Desertfoxenland
MD8: v New Dukaine

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
National American football team

Abanhfleft returns to the World Bowl after finally winning the World Bowl in the competition's 31st edition. The team went through a lot of challenges before finally lifting that coveted trophy, up to and including losing team members and staff in the crash of Air Abanhfleft Flight 5116 as well as being once swept aside by The United States of Saints, an unranked team at the time of that particular competition but is now nowhere to be found once again. Consistency is the key, they say, and Abanhfleft has been a little bit consistent these past few competitions; consistently losing, that is. The warriors of Abanhfleft will hope to buck that trend and defend their crown this time.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation
: Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft
Demonym: Fleftic
Official history: This will be Abanhfleft's fifth time playing the World Bowl after the disaster that was the crash of Air Abanhfleft Flight 5116 in Electrum. This is Abanhfleft's eighth time participating in the World Bowl overall.
Team colors: Blue, orange, and green
Style modifier: +2. Abanhfleft has adopted a new, more conservative attacking style of play under new coach Marius Magnussen.

HOME STADIUM
Image
The Amado Isauro-Imponte Garden in Kammala, Garufaloe Province, home of the Garufaloe Sidewinders of the FNLAF, will be playing host to the Fleftic national gridiron team's home matches. It has an official capacity of 51,000 people, but attendance regularly exceeds that figure thanks to a rabid fanbase, and people preferring to stand up or sit on the stairs whenever capacity is filled.

THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF THE UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF PRIDNESTROVIA
NATIONAL GRIDIRON FOOTBALL TEAM

Gridiron football, or as the morally corrupt Westerners call it, American football, has little to no interest at all in the United Socialist States. The properly European sports of association football (or in Pridnestrovia, real football) and rugby union are by far and large the most popular sports in the United Socialist States (along with the ironically very American sport of basketball, but that's another story for another time), but by no means does that mean that President Field Marshal Stepan Stepanovich Stepanenko is not going to take advantage of an opportunity to win an international trophy for Pridnestrovia when the President Field Marshal learned that there will be a new World Bowl about to occur in the weirdly-named nation of Bongo Johnson. President Field Marshal Stepan Stepanovich Stepanenko presents the Pridnestrovian national gridiron football team, and he will also soon present a new gridiron league in Pridnestrovia.

BASIC INFORMATION

Style Modifier:
-2
Home Kit: Emerald green shirts and socks, black helmets and pants
Away Kit: Terracotta shirts and pants, white helmets and socks
Nickname: The Vultures

Nephara's willing to give anything a tilt. The complication here is that the side they have is, well, amateur. There is no true national league, with the domestic game confined to state leagues. There is no coverage, no attention, and in terms of popularity gridiron is several leagues behind the three powers of football, ice hockey and rugby.

The tactics are rudimentary and conventional, with none of the staff qualified enough to improvise. The players are only paid enough by the government enough to compensate for departure from their workplaces. But they have guts, they have physical strength and they have a determination to punch above their weight, and they're hoping to pull off an upset somewhere. Tactics are designed to be defensive and make as much of their strength as possible.

They're basically only here because by some fluke they're reigning Silver Belt holders and wish to return it to circulation.

For the first time in 150 years, leader Robert Haldwell III with Director of National Sports, Sean Hugman, have decided to devote over 1,500,000 Abhichandran pieces to the effort of building a new sports stadium (later to be called Solaris Complex, located just outside of Abhichandra City) and look for new members for a sports team. The new stadium sports over 500,000 seats, 120 dining venues, 30 entrances around the stadium, with an all-glass design, making it one of the newest, most modern, and technologically advanced stadiums. And Abhichandra has a new team! After over 6 months of finding adequate members for the team, there are about 26 players, 5 extras, and 4 coaches. Having to go through extensive training, the team is excited to compete in their first ever World Bowl.

Each player has his own strategies. All players are required to follow the game-plan, which is set by the head and assistant coaches. Players are only allowed to follow their own strategies if they are losing by lots of points or one of the game-plans fails. The offense, being the core of the team, practiced for roughly 18 hours every day for 5 1/2 months. In those 5 1/2 months, the team has become very diligent in their practices and 1 practice game. The defense practiced for about 12 hours every day, for 4 months. In that time, the defense has learned good strategies in the game. Lastly, the special teams and backups have practice for 6 hours every week, but had tons of previous experience.

Head Coach: Buck Natters, 78

Strategy: On offence, Natters uses a 2 RB set and uses a smashmouth running attack to force the safeties to watch the RB and then airs it out deep to the wideouts and uses the TE either as a blocker or a receiver. On defense, Naters uses a complex zone blitz scheme that involves LB's and DE's dropping in and out of zone coverage changing blitzing schemes while the CB's play man on the outside helped out by the safeties to watch any deep pass

Roster:
Offense:
Quarterback: Buck Williams
Running-back: Adrian Crawford
Fullback: Darius T. Jermichael V.
Center: Nagi Ja
Right Tackle: Mike Enders
Left Tackle: Milos Cruz
Right Guard: Joe Valentine

Anthoran National Gridiron Team
" Celridge Voodoo "

The Celridge Voodoo, also called the Voodoo or Vengeful V's, are the gridiron football team that represents the Kingdom of Anthor, and the Anthoran Gridiron League (AGL) on the international playing field. This will be the first time that a national team has been assembled for play on the international level, and skepticism among Anthoran experts is high after not so great turnouts by our other national teams on their debuts, or even in recent years. To this end, the Ministry of Sports has selected Joel Turbull, the former head coach of Bowerstone University, as the head coach for this team, citing his current record holding 4 Anthoran Collegiate Series championships, highly regarded professionalism, and lauding as one of the better coaches in gridiron within Anthor. His all time record with BU, having coached there from 587 to 598, was 104-88 (84% PCT), which is unusually high for such a long stint at a high end university. Analysts expect him to carry over his traditional "poke n'prod", a scheme he instituted during his first years at Bowerstone due to the lack of explosive players on either end of the field. He simply mixed up traditional passing with a variety of rushing routes, and stuck with whatever worked. While many fans will note he abandoned this system once he recruited Deudonne Noel three years in, some will also note it was how he won a his very first ACS, so they're hoping for a solid performance on their World Bowl entry.

Selections for his staff were prepared by him, and he assembled a formidable core; Matthew Evans, Joseph Cough, Sebastian Bull all had previously worked under him in their roles at Bowerstone, so a chemistry problem isn't expected, and the others are in their top categories of the profession. Players were selected after a thorough reviewing process, and many are anxious to witness their performance, hoping it will boost the number of gridiron fans in the country; currently, it's the fourth largest sport in the country but has struggling attendance numbers when compared to the more popular major sports, such as association football, hockey or baseball.

NEWMANISTAN ROCKETS

WORLD BOWL 32 ROSTER

"Proudly underachieving since World Bowl I"

Schedule:
MD1: Bye
MD2: vs Gregoryisgodistan @ Tundra Falls Proving Grounds, Tundra Falls
MD3: @ Firebolt (Stadium unknown at press time)
MD4: vs Bongo Johnson @ Emperor Michael IV Stadium, Pocono City
MD5: @ Kebec (Stadium unknown at press time)
MD6: Bye
MD7: @ Gregoryisgodistan @ Lord Almighty Gregory Stadium, Capital District, Gregoryisgodistan
MD8: vs Firebolt @ The Jungle, Loudon
MD9: @ Bongo Johnson (Stadium unknown at press time)
MD10: vs Kebec @ Keisler Stadium, Southport

Starters (Offense) (Standard Formation, Multiple Formations will actually be used)
QB- #3- Jason Randall, 28, Pocono City Capitals
HB- #33- Latavias Osborne, 26, Southport Tigers
FB- #48- Jimmie Gordon, 25, Daytopia Racers
WR- #81- Stephon Halliday, 28, Putnam Lake Eagles
WR- #84- Alexander Montague, 29, Centralia Cougars
TE- #89- Brian Haynes, 30, Tundra Falls Saints
LT- #77- Ricky Longhurst, 29, Pocono City Capitals (Offensive Captain)
LG- #64- Daquan Henderson, 31, South Charlotte Condors
C- #60- Roman Guerrero, 33, Pocono City Capitals
RG- #63- Michael Tylock, 28, Olympia Gladiators
RT- #70- Imari Brozell, 25, Loudon Leopards

About the offense:
While Randall is not going to look to scramble all the time, he is sneaky when he needs to run and can be an excellent scrambler when required. However, he is generally interested in staying in the pocket and showing off his incredible arm. Osborne is a flashy runner, and if he gets through a hole and makes the first guy miss, it’s going to be trouble for the secondary. He is also a major threat as a receiver. Speaking of receivers, Halliday is the deep threat that you’ll want your shutdown corner on. Montague can and will also go deep, but does not possess the blazing speed of Halliday. The first focus of TE Brian Haynes is to block, but he does have good hands and is reliable option when targeted. The offensive line is an all-star type cast, and the familarity of Randall and the center Guerrero with Pocono City should help in the World Bowl tremendously. Fellow Capital at LT, Ricky Longhurst, is an absolute student of the game. He may, perhaps, be beaten physically sometimes, but will never be outsmarted mentally and tactically. The line is generally smart about staying away from holding penalties, but sometimes Tylock can be caught at key moments.

This is simply the standard formation. Newmanistan will frequently use three-WR sets, and in those cases, Gordon goes to the bench. In a four receiver set, which is also often used, it will be Haynes that comes out. Randall will often utilize the shotgun formation. Also, Newmanistan loves to run play action.

Starters (Defense) (The Rockets Generally Use a 4-3 Base)
DE- #92- William Wright, 31, Tundra Falls Saints
DE- #96- Tyrell Douglas, 31, Tundra Falls Saints (Defensive Captain)
DT- #98- Pedro Cardenas, 26, Putnam Lake Eagles
DT- #99- Brian Tanner, 28, Loudon Leopards
ILB- #56- Rayshon Ashwood, 29, Centralia Cougars
MLB- #52- Shawn Davies, 32, Olympia Gladiators
OLB- #53- Scottie Whitehead, 27, Pocono City Capitals
FS: #25- Shaquille Trimm, 28, Loudon Leopards
SS: #24- Anfernee Washington, 27, Daytopia Racers
CB: #21- Taeshawn Gilles, 25, Southport Tigers (Shutdown Corner assigned to your #1 WR)
CB: #31- Marques Cordova, 24, Centralia Cougars

About The Defense:
The defense is best when it comes to stopping the run. Cardenas is a huge threat in the middle of the line, and if you are able to run on him you either got lucky, or double-teamed him. Wright and Douglas are excellent pass rushers, and they will blitz frequently. The linebackers are not a bad unit, but this could be where Newmanistan is most vulnerable. The secondary is a speedy unit, and Gilles will trash talk with the best of them. It is not advised to challenge him all that often. He’s not perfect, but he will make big plays. When Anfernee Washington gets the opportunity, he is looking to deliver a punishing hit.

Bench (Offense)
QB: #11- Anthony Caputo, 26, Loudon Leopards (2nd string)
QB: #12- Ryan Larkin, 23, Centralia Cougars (Clipboard holder)
HB: #27- Rakell Girardi, 27, Tundra Falls Saints (will see about 20% of carries normally)
HB: #34- Lenny Marwood, 30, South Charlotte Condors (2-3 carries per game)
HB: #32- Darrell Travis, 28, Centralia Cougars (Minimal usage, if at all)
FB: #44- Aric Scott, 33, Pocono City Capitals (Very occasional usage)
FB: #49- Randy Harriman, 27, Putnam Lake Eagles (Minimal usage, if at all)
TE: #87- Jovan Carter, 29, Tundra Falls Saints (Used in 2-TE sets, strong receiver)

World Bowl XXXII preview

Murbley, Bongo Johnson - (NEIP) The World Bowl XXXII is starting in two weeks from now and the Union of Socialist Alpine Republics (ranked 23rd) is in group B with Frenline Delpha (9th), Ethane (11th), Nova Anglicana (UR) and Parakos (UR). The Alpine Union is in what we consider a tough group, with Frenline and Ethane being the teams to beat. Nova Anglicana or Parakos could also make some noise. Here is an analysis of each teams.

MD1 and MD6: Frenline Delpha (9th)

Frenline Delpha didn't make their roster available for the media but we assume they'll do it before the start of the World Bowl. They are currently ranked 9th. In the World Bowl XXXI, the Anacondas finished the group stage round with a 13-1 record, only losing to Drawkland. Frenline Delpha made it to the quarterfinals and lost to Abanhfleft. The Anacondas run a 3-4 defense and they're somewhat vulnerable to the run game. This is how we could beat them, Coconut Riddick should get a load of carries against them. They has one of the best offense of the World Bowl and they're almost unstoppable. Frenline Delpha will fight with Ethane for the 1st place in group B with the U.S.A.R. trying to find its way.

MD2 and MD7: Parakos

Nothing is known about them but we believe they will be easy to beat. Parakos will finish 4th in group B.

MD3 and MD8: Nova Anglicana

Nova Anglicana are one of the best baseball team but are unranked in american football. The rumor says they are going to send an amateur team, so let's show these amateurs how the pros play football and that they should stick to baseball! Nova Anglicana will finish 5th in group B.

MD4 and MD9: Ethane

These flammable morons beat us in baseball and they're better than us in football. They're currently ranked 11th and they had a 9-4 record in the World Bowl XXXI. Like Frenline Delpha, they didn't yet made their roster available, but they will do it soon. From what we saw in the last edition of the World Bowl, Ethane are one of the best defensive team but their offense is somethat average. The Alpine Union needs to use a mixture of passing and rushing plays against them if we want to beat them. The Red kites will fight with Frenline Delpha for the 1st place in group B with us trying to find their way.

Funnily, the group B features 4 teams who excel in baseball which are all in the top 6: Nova Anglicana (2nd), Ethane (3rd), Frenline Delpha (5th) and the U.S.A.R. (6th).

Let's go back to football and here's are our predictions for group B:

1. Frenline Delpha
2. Ethane
3. U.S.A.R.
4. Parakos
5. Nova Anglicana

Ko-oren isn't the powerhouse in international sports that it once was. No longer is Ko-oren gunning for a spot in the final, or even the semifinals. Even the second round might be out of the question. The times that the Greenblues are among the world's best, and to be feared, are long gone history by now. But it's actually the reverse - those times aren't history, they're the future. Welcome to Ko-oren, 1860.

Gridiron football is a foreign invention that has rapidly changed organised sports in industrialising Ko-oren. The first professional leagues, rule changes that sparked changes in other sports, gridiron is the one thing that has entirely changed the way the sports are played and watched in the archipelago. It is strongly a city game, a good thing for the ever growing hubs in Stallhaven and some other locations.

The forward pass, 11 players per team, down, distance, a line of scrimmage - all things that the Rugby codes rejected, promptly injected into Ko-orenite culture through the medium of gridiron football.
It has been less than a decade, but it has already made an imprint that cannot be ignored. The rules may even be called an anachronism. But that is the point of some of these foreign influences.

Style: -5
The style is a throwback to early football where scoring just didn't happen as much. This is a team set in the 1860's, playing modern rules American football, after all. Linemen are important, the offence is somewhat run-heavy.
