Talbott or Gold Park? It should still be one per country.

Maybe I hadn't made myself clear; apologies. Every circuit in Liventia and Aels that have been in use in recent years is on offer if the hosts wish to use them. I probably won't participate in WGP2 per se, so won't actively put forward any tracks, but will not object if my tracks are used.

First, thanks for the clarification. And the circuits.

Second, if we want to begin the negotiation phase soon, we need to finalize a ruleset soon.

My final (maybe not) rule set proposals that haven't already been confirmed:

Points: Top eight, 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

Races: More spread out, but not too much to prevent RP dropoff as much as possible.

Signups: Identical to the WGPC.

R&D Restrictions: None.

Teams and drivers: No more than 13 teams with a 14th works team (WGP2 Motorworks) and two main drivers plus a reserve/testing driver if there's enough entries.

Calendar: A pre-season test, followed by the first few races, then a midseason test halfway through, then the last few. Number of races to be determined later when the signup thread exists. We at least have two races confirmed thanks to Liventia.

As for format, I encourage anyone that's interested in hosting to put forward an official bid and we can eventually vote form the host. Sure, talking about the format is nice, but we're never going to agree on a consensus with every single player and so I think that now that we have an idea of what all of us are looking for, we can start bidding. I'm not going to bid anymore, but I know we have at least a couple of interested users. If someone wants to do a bid with more than one user hosting, that would obviously be acceptable too.

As a result of this, the Esmerelian Committee for Sporting has entered a bid to be either the Host or the Co-Host (in the event the primary host is occupied and cannot attend to their actions) for the WGP2 Series.

As we don't have people signing up properly yet, this bid is incomplete, but uses as many details as possible.

When signing up, users will follow the format the WGPC uses.

Any sort of single-seater car may be entered, but regardless of its power source (if stated) it is no faster than the rest of the field.

Points will be awarded to the top 8 finishers in the following format: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. No bonus points will be awarded for fastest race lap or pole position (you can RP that maybe you got an award for them though, it's up to you) and the final race of the season will NOT have double points.

A maximum of 13 teams will be selected for the upcoming season, and a 14th team, WGP2 Motorworks, will be entered if there is enough demand. This team cannot be applied to and will offer drives to drivers that have potential but cannot enter the series due to lack of interest with other teams. Teams may be removed from the lineup before the season start for various reasons.

Teams will be composed of two race drivers: a first driver and a second driver (though for the purposes of the RP they will be equal in status) as well as a reserve and testing driver, who will drive the car during pre and mid-season testing and be a backup driver should either the first or second driver be unable to race or booted from the team.

Cars, drivers and tracks will all be ranked similar to how the WGPC ranks them- either Agg/Tec (tracks), Acc/Cor/Rel (cars), or Agg/Cor/Rel (drivers). These numbers will be specified in the signups.

The race calendar will be no fewer than eight races long and no greater than 12, not including testing. Races will be one week apart from each other after the first race has been held, with the exception of midseason testing which will split the two halves of the calendar. No country may host more than one Grand Prix, and as many countries as featured on the WGPC calendar will be selected to host, with a few more entries.

Races will be run to a length of 250km, and while not required, race circuits on the calendar should generally be shorter.

That is all. Signed,

The Esmerelian Committee for Sporting

While the full profile isn't ready yet, I thought that I'd show you the map that I've made for the Nimban Grand Prix's track.

I now present to you the only course (as far as I know) ever submitted to a WGPC-affiliated series with an over-water section!

That is a fantastic idea. Would never fly IRL due to the obvious risk of utter catastrophe safety concerns but that's so perfect for WGPC.

Current plan: very large nets on either side of the raised water-crossing sections. What could possibly go wrong?

What if we made the water section go under the water? Big Blue GX anyone?

Hmm. I'd like the cars to come swooping directly out of and back into the cliff faces as planned, but perhaps there could be a section in which the track dived under the surface of the water...

Also, I've now worked out how to properly represent tunnel openings on my map, so that's been edited.

Another thing I've gone and done is prepared a proper livery for the upcoming season.

Also I understand hosting is a big deal that not everyone can do (and Lisander that is a totally valid reason) but am I just going to take the position by default? We at least need SOMEONE else, if possible.

Sorry if I sound demanding. It's just that if nobody else proposes anything it gets me nervous.

Uh, as far as hosting goes, just let me ask around in the next few days, because I might know one experienced person that could do it. But yeah, if there's no other proposals you would get it by default if nobody objects and brings up their own bid.

I'd put together a host bid, except I'm not entirely sure of the scorinator we'd use, and if we do end up getting Audio to be gracious enough to share his, I'd need some coaching from him on how to use it; so, I might be putting up a bid here in the next day or two, and getting in touch with him.

1. This is a bump

2. This is a proposal of visual identity, as a supplement to the proposal I made to WGPC just now.

The bump reminds me that yesterday I did talk on IRC about hosting. Liventia wasn't interested but Eastfield Lodge is interested if we start the competition in mid June. I think that fits our schedule well, so we should delay host bid voting until he can bid or until I can confirm if he has the desire to do so or not. Also we can wait to see if Anthor can get the spreadsheet from Audio and learn to use that, and three host bids is certainly a good level of interest for a minor league competition.

Literally everyone bar Liventia would need a thorough walthrough of how the scorinator works. It's big and complicated. I'll be putting together a short 'how to' when I finish the lite version of it.

It's nice you're making a public version.

And as of this, as we don't have a finalized scorinator yet we may need to postpone voting on bids until we do. Take your time.
