Chronichles about starting at handball

Once in the University a professor asked an interesting question to us students of the Physical Education Course period, in the discipline Handball. He asked us what would be the most viable defensive tactical scheme for teaching children under 12, ie, initiation. Almost all unanimously answered 6: 0 including the honorable opinion of the room master, of course, is the teacher.
At that moment everyone laughed at having said exactly what the teacher would like to hear. Then two people arguing at the end of the room about the question raised their hands. To the bad luck of the class and the teacher the two adventurers were handball athletes and would like to express their concerns.
One of the students asked how he would teach a student to play handball if he was involved in the defense, only to the side. After this, the teacher replied by saying that he did not say that he would be made stationary, rather that all would be moving only covering width and not depth.
The group gave that laughter with air of which you were to nudge ounce with short stick. Well done. The student, however well-versed in handball, countered once more this time using an analogy from a situation where he would have two teams being trained to solve the tactical and technical problems that pop up on the court. The first team is their 6: 0 mark and the second team marks the entire team, a full block, a half court and nine meters, and asked the teacher which team would have the most motor skills, if it was the first one to attack Probably in a traditional scheme like these we watch on television, five players passing ball and one stuck between defenders, and that marks 6: 0; Or the team that attacks exploring all the spaces of the court and marks himself on several levels.
After putting this situation the class was silent the teacher was mute and everyone was thoughtful. As we were in an academic environment, the teacher preferred to be discreet at the exit saying that he found the placement interesting, that he would conduct a research and then talk to the students. I was happy to see that there was uneasiness and I also know that many are the teachers trained today, but who were students at that time who teach handball in their initiation in their schools and clubs in a broad way without being attached to one thing, but by varying the possibilities for That their students grow in learning and that they really know if they put and solve the problems generated inside the court.

- Thomas Massmaller, student, who intends to be a future handball player.

Meal Tickets and Escapades, how Mayward's Qasden keeps HWC Title hopes alive

When you hear 0-2, your immediate thought would be "that team is screwed". Now, when it's a well-ranked TQ squad, responsible for finishing 3rd in Drawkland, you think "Man, that must suck.". Now picture that Qasden team rebounding with wins over higher-ranked teams, including the almost impossible feat of defeating Rotschwarzland. That was a trick question, because it somehow became a reality.

Falling to Natanians and New Lusitania were the largest coffee stains on the Vans' third run in the handball World Cup. "The past two games were seen as a travesty to many." Said Qasden football and handball manager, Zachary Sols. "For me, going back and forth between Chromatika and Soltsteed has been hectic, while pub televisions are constantly flipping back an de forth between AOCAF, HWC, IBC, and the Astyrian Slam. What we can say is that, no matter the future of Qad Handball, we will fight hard in these next two games to gives our fans the true face of QH they deserve.".

Following the speech, two shock victories propelled the Vans out of the group stage alive. A narrow win over the Ethanian squad saves the Blue-Reds from immediate termination, while a break on match day 4 gave the crew time to analyze and recoup for the big finale against Rotschwarzland. A victory would lift the Vans over New Lusitania with ease, while a draw or loss would have their fate determined by Ethane. At the Mikäelporthall, Coach Mayward gave the back-to-back defending champions a run for their money, advancing on their mistakes and lifting Qasden to a record high 7 points ahead of Red Blackiland. In the end, with a score of 29 to 24, the Vans stunned the world with the defeat of Rotschwarzland. The big W gave TQ the points they needed to surge into a third-place finish, while also erasing the goal difference to 0 at the same time.

Ranking from 1-12, the Qads squeaked in at 11th, earning them a matchup against mediocre team and 6th seed, Gadirya. Remaining in Port Michael, the Vans played their BoF adversaries as if it were actually that moment in the Baptism of Fire. Felicity and Harbor combined for a total of 14 points, plus 7 more from Pyxis. Playing to the very end, the Vans held Gadirya to a 29-29 draw, resulting in the need of overtime. Adding three lucky goals, the Qads took a heart pounding match over the adversaires, 32-31, sending themselves into a pleasing quarterfinal appearance. Now more confident in his team, Manager Sols has a rather new approach on the team following the football team's defeat to Farfadillis in Pria.

"The beautiful thing about this team is that even in the times of sporting depression, they're the light that motivates other teams to push forward. Qad athletes have now been eliminated in tennis, football, and basketball, so more fans can truly watch the greatest team on earth. This Mayward team is the reason why we fought for glory in the 77th World Cup cycle. We were able to stiffen teams like Turori as Barunia just as this handball displayed against Red Blackiland and Gadirya. Honestly, Mayward and Day have raised a commended team in Qad history, and I deeply await this next matchup.".

Following that faithful V, the Blue-Reds will remain in Port Michael and play home to the 3rd seed, Abanhfleft. Destroying their group, the fleftics took to the field well and are the heavy favorites over the Qads, but that won't rain on the fans tonight. Can Qasden triumph once more to appraise its inner glory? Or will the fleftics show their brute force mentally and physically in the arena? Only one special will be ordered, so stay tuned, stay animated, and stay alert for our next report, live from Soltsteed!

Tactical measures in handball - Part 1

Handball is an easy game to play. The required technical skills are
Skills common to various games such as running, jumping and throwing, and their basic rules are easily assimilated by young players. Thinking about this, what differentiates a good player from an excellent player, since handball is a sport in which most people can play without major problems? The great differential between players is the way they execute the technical-tactical means specific to the handball game.
These actions may be individual, which are the practical manifestation of conduct and tactical behavior of a player, that is, when executed only by an individual for the purpose of achieving the goal himself, or collective, represented by tactical content of collaboration that Are produced in the game and converge in the reciprocal coordination between the individual actions, forming the basis for the development of the collective game, that is, when there is a combination of the actions of each individual in favor of the strategy of the team. They can also be offensive, when they are aimed at achieving the progression and acquisition of the point (goal finishing) and defensive, which occur when they are executed to prevent the progression and finalization to the target by the opposing team. Thus, in this text, we will talk about some of these actions, both individual and collective and give some examples of exercises and games for teaching. Starting with the individual offensive actions we have the feint and the unmarking, which are different from each other. The feint consists of movements of head, arms and body, made or not with the displacement of the feet. It is used to deceive an opponent and make him act or move in a disadvantageous way for himself, a necessary condition for the feints is the unexpected action of the striker, so that the defender is surprised. The clearing is the action of the attacker to leave the situation in which his opponent obtains an advantage in the marking, aiming to open lines of pass seeking trajectories in relation to the goal. To execute a clear the attacker can use of fintas (with ball) or trajetórias (with and without ball), in order to gain advantage on the defender.
As for unchecking, you can make an educational game, where students are divided into groups of 4 people and delineated with the cones a square space. Two students will be inside the square to contest the ball possession (1 ball) and two students will be outside the square with the function of supporters (they will make passes to their colleagues). The goal is to get the students inside the square out of the marking to receive the ball and then make the pass to the support that is out of the square, clearing other times to receive a pass from their supporter again.
In relation to the finte, the students are divided into trios, where one player will be a defender, the other the "fintador" and the third the supporter, there will also be a goalkeeper. In this case, the goal is to get the supporter to the "filler" who will perform the feint on the defender. The purpose is to move from defender to goal.
Still thinking about the actions of attack, we must remember that handball can not only be based on the individual capacities of our players, and as a collective game, these individual actions must be based on collective strategy. Thus, some means can be used to combine actions (tactical means) between attackers of the same team, such as: Exchange of posts, crossings, blockades, successive infiltrations and falls of 2nd pivot (unfolding or circulating).

Qads uplift, 2nd consectutuve semifinal appearance

The Mikäelporthall was filled nearly to the brim with fans of Qasden and Abanhfleft. It seemed that the masses favored the opposition (as per usual), and as usual, the mighty HandyVans retaliated.

Mayward and Day announced intentions to train and strategize following the narrow win over Gadirya in the first round. "We've fought, we fight, and will keep fighting until the very end.". Throughout the cooldown period, things for TQ were only warming up. Being pushed to the gritty limit and beyond, Mayward exhausted his team out of love. "If we want to beat Abanhfleft, we're gonna need to train like Abanhfleft, more even. The quarters are a very exciting part of every tournament. Almost like as if it's the Olympics, which we plan to qualify for over the other Qailpyme countries.".

Fast forwarding a day or two, the match in Port Michael commenced under heavy Fleftic influence. Within minutes, a 5-2 lead punctured morning glory for Qasden. 8-4, 12-8, 17-13, the game's deficit remained almost completely stagnant. By halfway through the match, the score stood at 18-15. Taking a timeout, Mayward devised a strategy only concentration could pull off.

Back on the court, Pyxis takes control of the lunge, scoring 3 points right away into the action. Harbour and Felicity soon pitched in another 5 goals, and other players began scoring left and right. To a point, the match stood at 26-26. Finally, a breakthrough hit for the Qads, as 4 consectutive points out them up 30-26 with only a few minutes left. The Fleftics, of course, fought back ferociously, peaking at 30-29. But when that whistle blew, only 2 more goals were scored after that. And here's a hint, neither belonged to Abanhfleft.

32-29, the 11th-seeded Qasden Vans had pulled the first major upset of the competition, securing their 2nd straight appearance in the semifinals. Rotschwarzland and Costa de Ouro had also reached another consecutive semi-final, defeating Savojarna and Devonta, while the Royal Kingdom of Quebec clip an appearance over 9th-seed Drawkland. For one last game, the Qads will play in Port Michael against handball titans, Costa de Ouro, at Mikäelporthall. A victory would break the CdO-RB final trend, and send TQ straight to St. Christopher. A loss would transport the Blue-Reds to Heekdorf, where they'd play the loser between Rotschwarzland and Quebec. Esan, seeing his competition, smirks.

"At last, our challenge begins.".

Can the Vans tackle a deity and reach their first ever HWC championship? Will Costa de Ouro shoo them off as if they were peasants? Only one item will be purchased, so stay tuned, stay sandwiched, and stay alert for our next report, straight outta' Soltsteed!

Tactical measures in handball - Part 2

In successive infiltrations or in engagement, 3 × 3 is played. In the space between 9m and 6m will be placed cones to delimit the playing space. The defenders will not be able to enter in line of 9m, for this they must recover the ball before this line. Attackers may only enter a 9m line when they are in possession of the ball, ie they will not be able to receive the ball within the 9m line. The goal is for the attack to gain one point each time you can enter the 9m area and gain an additional point if you hit the goal. The defense gains a point each time it manages to recover the ball.
We also have to remember that handball is a game in which all players are responsible for the defense. Thus, individually players must have learned actions (tactical means) that help their performance within the game, such as: intercepting (recovering) the ball in both the pass line and the opponent's dribble, approaching marking, positioning Between the goal and the opponent; And offensive locks.
Already in the intercept of ball it is as if it were the game of the smart one. In threes, two players pass the ball while a player tries to intercept, where the goal is that the player in the middle, called the smart, must try to intercept the passes, to leave his position and become a passer. The one with the intercepted pass will become the smart one.
As for the dribble interception are three players arranged in 3 sequential lines. The attacker must be able to pass dribbling through the 3 defenders (each in his line, he will not be able to invade the space of the other) and then he can make the throw, for that, to use the volleyball court is a good alternative. The goal is that each of the three markers should try to recover the ball in the act of the opponent's dribble. If he can recover, he changes places with the attacker and starts attacking from where he has recovered the ball. In addition, these defensive actions must be combined so that players on the same team can assist each other within the chosen defensive system. That is, players must know how to collaborate with each other through actions (tactical means), such as: coverups, exchanges, mutual aid and defensive blocks.
In the matter of coverages and mutual aid is the game of shared defensive areas. You play 3 × 3. With cones of different colors, three regions of defense are defined, each with a responsible one to defend it. These areas, however, are interspersed, that is, one area penetrates the defensive area of the other defensive player, so the basics of coverage, exchanges, and mutual aid arise. Ideally, defenders should prevent attackers from penetrating their respective regions. Each one must protect it, even if it is in the defensive area shared among the defenders, without changing the defense.
