2017 Sunalayan Weltrennen Planning Thread
Hallo und willkommen to the 2017 Sunalayan World Race, encompassing air, land, and sea! The newly formed Deutsches Reich extends an invitation to all nations of Sunalaya to test their skills in both manufacturing and racing! Feel free to add whatever you'd like to see in the races, and discuss your nation's involvement and possible sponsorship. The sections of the race are still a WIP, but here are the sections of the race are:
Welt-Tourenwagen Meisterschaft
Merzedes-Benz Police Interceptor, A Design Used in the 2016 Englean Tourenwagen Meisterschaft
The land portion of the race, dubbed the "Welt-Tourenwagen Meisterschaft" (World Touring Car Championship), will utilize roads within Central and Eastern Ventismar, stretch to Ophion, cross Corentia, and return through Western Ventismar to the Deutsches Reich. This race will utilise touring cars built by manufacturers of each nation, with Merzedes-Benz and BMV supplying the Englean teams. The vehicles must be able to survive a race of this size, and must NOT utilise an aircraft engine. There will be specified destinations to reach, where contestants will be able to refuel and rest. Manufacturers are permitted to use biofuel, natural resources, and/or standard fuel in their vehicles.
Weltregatta
"Earthrace" Biofuel Experimental Racer, Created by Junkern
The Weltregatta (World Regatta) is the maritime portion of the competition, pitting sailing teams against those who preferred biofuel-powered vessels. In this portion, teams must set out from the Deutsches Reich, circumnavigate the globe (stopping at ports and such), and then return to the Reich. The route will be announced soon.
Internationale Flugzeugrennen
Konvair 363, Converted Turboprop Aircraft that Won the 2000 Flugzeugrennen
The Internationale Flugzeugrennen (International Air Race) portion is a competition for all aircraft manufacturers to prove their might in the area of speed. Teams will utilize different forms of aircraft, whether it be single-seater aircraft or full blown transport aircraft, to reach course destinations around the globe, to return to the Reich. Rules and maps will be provided soon.
