Welcome at the official signup thread for the Aeian Field Hockey Championships (2017), Nations from Aeia are able to participate, but there are only 16 spots, And yeah I know Aeia counts 50+ Nations today. So you have to be fast to join this tournament.

Tournament

The tournament will consist out of 16 Nations, So 4 groups of 4. The top two Nations in each group will qualify for the knock-out stage. But if there is an low interest so let we say about only 12 Nations than it will be 2 groups of 6, The top four Nations will qualify for the Knock-out stage.

Style modifier & RP bonus

Style modifier you may want to include a style modifier for your team in your roster. A style modifier is a number ranging from -5 to +5 which will be inputted into the scorinator and will also serve to give others an idea of your style of play. Teams with negative style modifiers tend to be more defence-focused and will concede (on average) fewer goals at the cost of having more trouble at scoring goals. On the other hand, if your team is more offence-focused, then you should choose a positive style mod. Teams that play offensively tend to score more goals on average...but also tend to concede more goals in return. For those of you who would rather a more balanced style, a neutral style mod of 0 is also available. Teams will also be assigned a style mod of 0 if they don't state a style modifier.

RP bonus The RP bonus will decided by the host nation. It will be possible 25 for posting your team roster, and another 25 for posting highlights etc..

How to signup
Every nation in Aeia is able to join with one of his nations, So No puppets. You can simple post in this thread: In! Than we can put your nation on the list. At 26 January the signup thread will close, and the official host will be choosen.

Hostbids

You can post an hostbid if you have interest to host the tournament, But before you post one, Read This First:

1. Write about your Nation, About your cities, culture, Just to let the participants know about your Nation.

2. Write about your host venues, Capacity, etc. Let other know where they have to play at witch day and time, in there group stage and knock-out stage.

3. Write about the RP bonusses, RP is very important for the tournament.

4. And of course make your hostbid your own style, But don't forget this important thing!

I am most definitely in and the Glanish Ice Hockey team is a little more offensive than defensive so I think they'd have a +3 style modifier!

Also, I'm certainly making a bid for host.

I'll enter, to boost numbers, don't expect much RP from me though.
