Welcome to the signup thread for the first edition of the NSAFL. NSAFL stands for NationStates Australian Football League. The NSAFL aims to become the premier Australian football competition of NS Sports. In case you don't know what footy is, here is the Wikipedia page.

There were some failed initiatives to bring Australian Football into Nationstates. The WCARF folded without going to field. I could find that AFLIC had two editions (First),(Second). I believe the lack of unity and knowledge of AFL interested people it's a shame. Even if most of interested are 14-yo lazy brats, the community should be at least united in follow from a common point, instead "start trying again". Please take care in your past actions. My bid comes with the idea of align/pacify/merge all former initiatives.

I present you the NationStates Australian Football Cup 3 (NAFC). I still have to gather some support, but the idea is set up.

Alice Bay is a sister nation of Lisander. Ruled by the same monarch, and governed by a General-Governor, Alice Bay is a constitutional monarchy. The nation is known by its pleasant climatic conditions, beaches and gambling industry. Main cities are Bay City, Edellion, Newport and Osea.

Australian Football is the most played sport in the nation. The major teams of the nation are Bay City Stars, Edellion Pirates, Southport Mariners and Osea Rovers.

Scorination
Xkoranate last version will be used, with generous RP bonus for quality activities.

Format
Depending on the quantity of teams, the most probable is have a Round-robin stage, and after this, playoffs. Exact format will depend on the quantity of signed nations.

Experience
As Lisander, I've recently hosted and scorinated URSA sevens, a pre-season event to NS Rugby Sevens Series. I also have scorinated rugby friendly matches recently.

Welcome to the host bid for the 3rd Australian Football League Cup, submitted by the Board of Control for Cricket in Damukuni, who have obtained the rights to govern Australian football in Damukuni after arbitration with the Damukuni Football Association. While this is Damukuni's first foray into Australian football, it is the BCCD's sincere belief that its cricket stadiums are capable of hosting a world tournament in a sport customarily played on cricket grounds.

The United States of Damukuni, commonly known as Damukuni (Dah-moo-KOO-nee), is a medium-small nation in Esportiva with a population (at last census) of 186.3 million citizens. It is a federal presidential republic, whose president, Julianne Day Matsushita, is head of state and government. The nation consists of fifteen states (Central Free State, Desert Province, Eastern Free State, Namagoro, Nasutani, North East State, Northern Free State, Iruko, Keitendō, Reishu Circuit, South Damukuni, Shinagawa-cho, Shiro-za, Tenjiro, and West Bay State), two territories (the Federal District, containing the nation's capital, Atarashii-Damushuto, as well as the University of Damushuto, and the Sonnelian Interplanetary Territory of South Dre, better known as Damukunian South Dre), and one special administrative region, the Damukunian Greater Otselicia S.A.R., in the Practical United Region of Tamriel.

SCORINATION METHOD

xkoranate 0.3.3 will be used. Ranks will be determined from the previous two editions. All scenarios will be prorated to the number of teams signing up. The knockout round will use, :
If 8 or 10 teams enter: The Page-McIntyre playoff system (with the top four teams starting). If 8 teams enter, there will be one giant group, with the top half of the points table advancing by decision order (see below); if 10 teams enter, there will be two groups of 5 teams, with the top 2 in each group advancing by decision order (see below).
If 12 or 14 teams enter: The McIntyre Final Eight System. For 12 teams, with 3 groups of 4 teams in the group stage with the top 2 teams advancing by decision order (see below); for 14 teams, with 2 groups of 7 teams with the top 4 teams advancing by decision order (see below).
If 16 or more teams enter: A single elimination tournament, prorated to the amount of signups.
