Lorenthia - Lisander is one the most ruthless sports rivalries in the multiverse. In the hooliganism era, dozens of people got injured in brawls. Stones thrown against buses, barricades with burning tyres, Hundreds of ofensive chants. Ice-hockey have a special part in its history. Every lisanderian knows the "Disgraced Uniform", wore by Lisander hockey team after an overwhelming defeat against Lorenthia, more than 80 years ago.

Today, even with more pacific times, the rivalry is strong. Lorenthia Hockey Federation posted this image on a social network today:

Valanora's Bid For WCoH 32

Valanora's IC Information
Valanora is a large nation encompassing the continent of Arrosia in southwestern Atlantian Oceania, in addition to several surrounding islands. The most distinguishing feature of Valanora is the prevalent amount of forests standing in most of the inner half of the nation, even in cities, with the elven attempts to live in harmony with nature. Vanorians are a polite if not a bit high on themselves, believing elvenkind to be superior to humans, though they show a respect for the potential their humanoid cousins have. Another important thing to know about traveling through Valanora is that automobiles are banned except for government officials. A high tech railway system connects the entirety of the nation, with three international airports in Raynor City, Gladerial, and Baysleef. A ferry from Rinaldi travels to and from the island of Capri every hour on the hour.

Scorination
I'll be using the latest version of xkoranate with its ice hockey feature using the xkoranate modifiers, which will have a range for -5/+5. RP bonus will be moderately generous and posting a roster will be rewarded with up to a single days worth of RP bonus as well to incentivise participation.

Format
Pending signup numbers, the ideal scenario will to have 8 groups of equal participants that will play in a single round robin schedule, with the top two progressing to the knockout rounds. The knockout rounds will be a Best of 3 series, with the exception of the Final which will be a Best of 5. The tiebreakers for the group stage will be: Points, H2H, GD, Wins, GF, and a coin flip (ICly a one game playoff) should a tie need further breaking.

Experience
As a user, I've hosted over numerous WCC events, multiple WCoHs, multiple DBCs, and am the current caretaker of the AOCL, CdC, and HCL. Hosting things is a forte of mine and while the presentation may be simple, you can count on me for solid hosting without any delays or other circumstances being announced ahead of time.

Good to see someone bidding, Valanora. One question - how will you seed teams from the knockout stage? Will it be World Cup Style - A1 vs. B2, C1 vs. D2, etc.? Or will it be seeded? If so, will it be purely on points and the other tiebreakers, or will the group winners get the top eight seeds automatically?

I'll be using seeding using points, as that is the standard from the NHL, which most users here are most familiar with when it comes to the sport.
