The studio had been constructed especially for the Forest tournament. The media commune had enthusiastically decorated the place with holoscreens displaying the flags of Forest nations in quick succession – each flashing past in a glorious swirl of golden sparks. The sound and light engineers responsible had taken every effort to distance the broadcasts from the notoriously unsportsmanlike and unprofessional hosts they had to work with. It had worked. Mostly. As long as one ignored the open bottles of drink behind the podium, or the smoke curling up from under the table as Michael hastily finished a suspicious cigarette before the broadcast began.

“And you're joining us now for sports news. Of course, the big event is almost upon us! The Green Cup – Forest's football tournament is due to kick off with the ceremonial drawing of the teams. Michael, what are your thoughts?”

Michael nodded, face reddening. Gave in finally, coughing up a cloud of smoke. “ah... uck – yes – thoughts... well as always it's a game of two halves isn't it? I mean, the draw that is... I guess we're hoping for a good, clean match here with our boys and girls in red but the opposition...” Michael glanced around, looking for any clue as to what the hell was going on. “The opposition uh... may have other plans.” He beamed. He'd managed to get through the entire speech without engaging his brain once. His co-host, Jordan, looked mildly perplexed. Sipped from his hip flask.

“Oookay... well we are just talking about the draw at the moment. Michael, who are you hoping gets picked to play our team?”
Michael grimaced slightly. Turned pale. “Urgh... as long as it's not Carosi. That'd be...”

“Well fortunately as part of the Iberis Peninsula, Carosi are not playing in this tournament. A basic knowledge of fundamental geopolitics would have... Those of you just joining us might remember the controversy around their costume choice last year and the...”

“Those medallions they wore... the eyes... oh god – they kept bleeding! All over the uniforms....”

“Uh, yes – indeed. And the... unexplained deaths of their opponents the evening after Carosi's defeat... that was... unfortunate. Anyway, enough of those dark times! Look, Michael – here's a board – who do you think would be the best team for Caracasus to play?”

Michael shrugged. “I'd say um... well – not Unhuman Reserves... um...”

The show continued, with few watching the commune aware that the draw had already taken place. It barely mattered. You didn't watch Sports from Quoris Media Commune to be kept updated on sports news, after all. Who would do that? Far better informed media communes kept track of sports news for those who genuinely wanted an insight into the game.
As an editor I seam to spend an awful lot of thyme going threw issues and checking that they're no oblivious errars. Its a tough job but someone's got too do it!

Ransium Tiger Sharks

Colors: light blue shorts, yellow shirt mangrove emblem on the front of the shirt.

Style +4

Ransium is an aggressive counter punching team. The strikers are by far their strength, with world class speed and shot taking ability.

The goalie is also very good, with exceptional hands and an excellent ability to punt the ball in good positions.

The mid-field is mediocre, okay on the attack if a bit overagressive, lack luster on defense, and prone to losing control of the ball, leading to Ransium typically having control of the ball less often their opponents.

The defenders are worse, suffering from a timidity that much of the team has due to unwillingness to break rules, as well as simple god given lack of talent. Their goal keeper often stand on his head due to lackluster defensive play.

Goalie - 1 - Joseph Cerny
CF -Lyle Sanderson (C)
CF - Harry McGregor
OM - Louis Sanchez
CM - Steven Stromberg
CM - Zachary Tannenbaum
DM - Ramiro Rojo
RB - Kyle Smith
LB - Barry Kramer
CB - Kevin Jammer

Back up goalie Jerry Liclock
Sub 1 - Edward Krank
Sub 2 - Lotik Lannely

Saint Rookie and the Newcomers play a midfield heavy "3-6-1" formation. The people with numbers from 1-11 are the normal starters, the rest are normal backups. Feel free to mix and match.

If RPing first; you can choose my goalscorers, give out yellow or red cards, roleplay injuries, and do just about anything else. However, if you're going to do something that would be difficult or impossible for me to do to your country (i.e. due to being an MT, all-human country, please TG me (or Zwangzug) first.

ICly, the preferred way to refer to someone from SRatN is as a "Newcomer," regardless of their age, but pretty much whatever is fine.

SRatN is a mysterious "liminal space" of a country, renowned for its economic freedoms--but is it a haven for merely taxes, or for people looking to hide and build bridges between far more intriguing and far-flung places? As part of an experiment in ideocube diversity, it has repressed most civil rights and is trying to rapidly regain its political freedoms; its citizens are proud to support their democratically elected leader, Soren Kleesekeep, even as he stamps out most of their personal liberties.

Everything was "just about as ready as it was gonna be," in the less-than-immortal words of the refereeing squad. The Tiger Sharks had established themselves as early favorites for the "best mascot" prize. The Caracasus broadcast team was firing on an adequate number of cylinders. The scorination squad had recently upgraded themselves to a shiny new computer (not for that particular reason). The national anthem of...Montmorencia...? was being proudly piped in, and the ambassador from the not-exactly-failed state of the Shell Shock Troop Clan declared that it kind of had a nice ring to it before an increasingly annoyed referee piped up that one, Montmorencia weren't even participating, two, the ambassador really didn't even go here, and three, we had better get started before anything else can go horribly right.

Style 0
formation 4-3-3

The current unhuman reserves team has been created by combining the best elements of each team in their local league... however, by doing this the dream team become nothing but a "jack of all trades/master of none" team that just relies in their captain for score and their lions to stop the incoming goals.
The local tournaments were mostly a proof to the players than any other thing, specially since most of the team is made from the first three places in last local league, with the Black Mountain Saints crowned Champions by third time defeating the Kohones Wildcats by 2-1. The third place was disputed between Summer Springs unicorns and Golden Hills Bulls, but the all female Summer Springs team did better overall in a 3-3 draw that went to sudden death, Jhala Jhonson won the third place for the bulls but the rest of the team was pretty lame.
Many teams did not even score a single player in the Green Cup, like the Llamas who just keep losing over and over to the point that even their fanbase are reselling tickets lower than the original price. However, the Gymrats and packers scored one MVP each to put something into this dream team.
The uniform was redesigned because of a new local rule that says "clothes make the man", it used to consist of coordinated shirt and socks in purple with green stripes and blue shorts for local while using plain white for visitor, but since now the females in the reserves are compulsory nude the only thing they wear is an armband or two, so it was redesigned to be just in one color.
A change was implemented and gave the reserves a victory: Ichihiro Tonkiaendo entered as main defense while Carlos Lopez was sent to the bench, the hardiness of Ichihiro as defense was too much for Huperzia's attacks. His impervious tactics avoided any other goal and his longpasses to Harunie guaranteed a score each time.
However, during the second time of their second match against Algonquian Nations, Tonkiaendo could not play because of an emergency making their 3-0 advantage to disappear and the team was unable to maintain the draw, a last minute goal gave Algonquian Nations the victory.
Maybe the unhuman reserves should change of team captain or enhace their team chemestry urgently, because just picking the best of the best leaves absolutely no teamwork

Thanks to those who participated. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a critical mass of RPing energy right now, but I appreciate your willingness to give this a try.

OOC: I apologise, I wanted to keep this up however the Christmas break was not a good time for me getting online! I'd love to do this again sometime...
As an editor I seam to spend an awful lot of thyme going threw issues and checking that they're no oblivious errars. Its a tough job but someone's got too do it!
