NAME: Teo Broekhof
GENDER: M
NATIONALITY: Ounaian
TRIGRAM: OUN
NUMBER: any.
ABILITY: 2/2/4
BIO:

Teo Broekhof (born: Teodros Broekhof-Massawa)was born in Trawadea, The District of Sucheberg on March 19, 1994 (Aged 22) to parents Samuel Broekhof (p.) and Sophia Massawa m.. Teo's father Samuel owns a majority stake in the largest Oil & Gas company in Ouna, AxialOil Co. and is also a Sucheberg District Councillor winning re-election in 2016.

When Teo was a small child, his parent's seperated and in fact were never married. For the early part of his life, Teo would not see his father and lived with his mother in a poorer area of Trawadea. As Teo grew up, he lost interest in academics and was close to being kicked out of school. Hearing about this, his father would step in and began to ave more involvement in Teo's wellbeing.

Teo became interested in motorsport after seeing a 'Demolition Derby' style event in his home country. From that point on he became obsessed with the idea of racing cars. His father agreed, on the condition that Teo paid more attention in school, to buy a Kart for him.

At age 9, Teo owned his very first kart and began driving at the Sucheberg cicuit in his hometown. This is the only legitimate racetrack in the whole of Ouna and there was not much of a motorsport culture un the country at this time.

By age 15, Teo had won back-to-back Karting championships in his home country but had been kicked out of school. Despite his father being disappointed, Teo managed to convince his father to pay for him to go Karting abroad where the competition was more intense. His father obliged, and Teo moved away to continue racing.

While abroad, Teo did not manage to win any Karting competitions despite coming Runner-Up in the Atlantic Karting Junior Championship 2010. At age 17 Teo moved into car racing however.

Between 2011-2014 Teo competed in the Pan-African Touring Car Championship back home winning the series three consecutive times.

He then wished to go back abroad to pursue his dream of competing in the [World Grand Prix Championship[/i]. His father was convinced after a meeting with Engineers who were impressed with Teo's performance in Touring Cars.

2015
Teo competes in the NSAtlantic Formula 3 Championship finishing 7th overall and taking 1 win.

2016
Teo competes in the NS European Touring Car Championship finishing 20th with 6 points over the whole season.

Broekhof has been described by some of his critics as somewhat of a 'Pay Driver' with the sponsorship of his fathers AxialOil payrolling his advancement in the feeder series. He has shown a lot of promise however in his home country of Ouna, and his only season in single-seaters resulted in him winning a race. He has a lack of experience, but a natural talent and a wealth of sponsorship money.

Driving-wise, Teo Broekhof is a very wise drive. A team can trust him to bring the car home in one piece usually. His pace is usually weaker than the lightning fast competitors in higher up series, but this could be down to a lack of experience in setting up a car. He lacks much aggression, making moves stick only when absolutely crucial.

At age 22, Teo is very young and has a lot of potential to grow. He may not be the best option at this time but his sponsorship can hopefully land him in a seat which will help him get the experience he needs.

NAME: Axel Novikov
GENDER: Male
NATIONALITY: Abovian
TRIGRAM: ABL
NUMBER: 37
ABILITY: 5/5/2
BIO: Axel Novikov is one of the few, if not the only, Abovian tarmac specialist in the world. After ten years of kart racing around the nation, the young Vuroetian entered his first ever rally in his hometown at age 17 (through a legal loophole), the Avsidesliggendevuoret Mountain Rally, run entirely on tarmac. His sublime driving ability and ruthless attitude, combined with unusually warm temperatures, netted him second place in his category, and seventh overall. After failed attempts at dominating snow and gravel rallies proved his preferred surface was asphalt, Novikov entered himself in various regional circuit races, scoring in the top four in one half and retiring in the other, before dominating (the) endurance and touring type events (that he managed to not crash in) in the brand new Furuhøytie Virtapiiri circuit.

While his technique is stupendous and his desire to win is unbeatable, Novikov has earned himself an infamous reputation for crashing out of races, usually in spectacular ways, and not placing the blame on himself. As a confident man of few words, reporters and teams alike have struggled to gain information on what causes him to go off into gravel traps or roll into trees. Nonetheless, he is known for speaking his mind to the ones responsible when his car is acting up, or not working as he expects it to.

His decision to jump into the WGPC world, according to him, sprung up after his last endurance racing victory in Furuhøytie Virtapiiri, which prompted him to seek out new challenges on the international racing stage.

I notify you that Telaris tests were delayed due to personal commitments, such tests will be conducted tomorrow at evening, since I have a university exam to take.

Other teams can send people to the tests and make their decisions, though, they shall consult Telaris Racing before making an offer to any of the participants.

Just to re-iterate, although driver signups remain open, team and circuit signups are closed, as we have our full complement for the season.

Has this started? Let's just say something happened that totally killed my desire to run a nation as an Emperor bent on pushing a State run company... I'm so lost. An update would be good. Thanks. :(

Well, Jessica and VMR were accepted. We're right now in the negotiation phase, and a few trials have already happened. But no worries, mate, you came back just in time for the first test race happens.

Well, I tried to do something a bit different and see if I could get a spot after the McPahan trial through potential and not performance, but that didn't really work. Both my drivers are still available and looking for teams. Cattaneo is more suited towards a #1 driver role on a lower ranked team but could take over the #2 role for a good team. JJF fits as a #2 driver.

You gave it your best, red. Just gotta keep trying and soon you'll strike oil.

Was nice to see Censki catching interest from such a team though :3

Loved the RP (as I''m sure other team owners did too), which I thought was just as good as Qasden's, but I went with Censki on a whim. Keep up the good work fella.

Vangaziland: Let me know as soon as you can if you've decided against entering a team.

First test is this Saturday. It's not imperative that every team has both drivers sorted in time for it, so no rush.

Well, looking through some older posts, I just realized that I actually have another trial offer, this one from Nexus. Hopefully it's not too late to accept that.

Also it's kind of funny that there's a driver named after Penn State QB Trace McSorley

You all will never know how glad I am to make it back in time. I'll pick up on the RP right away. I had RP'd everyday for over a year. I guess I needed a break. But don't worry, Jess will be back in full effort.

Now that I'm managing two drivers, I tried to RP them both by taking their respective points of view separately. Therefore, when I write "***", the name in bold is the character whose story I'm writing. I'd appreciate if you guys told me how well it works, and if it may seem a bit confusing. Thanks!

Lark is no longer available. Unless there is a rule that says one writer can't have two racers on one team. I have him set to be the backup, just insurance in case a driver goes inactive or something.

I must say that I'm starting to become concerned over the lack of posts from The Serbian Empire and The Redvale in the Nexus Racing thread; we're not actually going to get any trialling done at this rate, meaning that I might be forced to do a time skip and select one of the two drivers at random - and I really don't want to have to do that.

I've just been busy prepping for the World Cup that's about to start, but I also think we both didn't reply because the pace of the interactions have been extremely slow compared to every other team, and the last post didn't give either of us much to work with.

The ticket to success here is constant RPing... Like every week. A few posts. Interactions and such may become even less frequent once the testing phase ends. One will have to look at the times and create a story. It's also good to create drama or some sort of backstory. Part of me wants to put Lark on a team. But I need the reserve. Maybe if things go really well, I can offer him. Unless something major comes up again, I plan to RP consistently, so he would be an RP'd driver at least. Still thinking.

Ah... I didn't want to control either of your characters is all. Still, I'll add a bit more detail to the post. In terms of the speed, I'll post as quickly as you can.

I mean, I can see why you did it like that, but when I said the pace was slow what I kind of meant was that we have clashing writing styles and I'm not as good at making a bunch of short posts instead of a few long ones. It's not so much about the literal speed of the replies.

Then I will try to increase the length of my posts somewhat; the edited version, in accordance with this, is up now.

Might I ask if it's possible that the Nexus Racing HQ topic can be temporarily considered an official topic for the purposes of speed? It's not ideal, I know, but I want to steamline the process of getting at least something like what I had planned done as much as possible.

With regards to controlling the characters of other users, it isn't commonly seen as a problem in the NS Sports forum as long as people are reasonably respectful of each others boundaries, tastes etc and have a decent grasp of what a character is like.

I like the shorter, forum four-style character-driven RPs posted on Nimbus's RP threads (ie the current Nimbus Racing HQ thread and formerly the press conference thread), as they make a nice change from traditional NS Sports RPs which tend to be either journalistic or narrative-based. I'm trying to make sure I weigh both styles equally when it comes to RP bonus. I should also point out that, while posts in the non-official WGPC thread are being counted towards each user's RP bonus, there isn't any precedent for this in any other NS sports event, so bear that in mind if you enter any events outwith the WGPC.

Also, if there were to be any new RP threads opened outwith the main one, please post the link here so I don't miss it. Cheers.
