BIO:
Teo Broekhof (born: Teodros Broekhof-Massawa)was born in Trawadea, The District of Sucheberg on March 19, 1994 (Aged 22) to parents Samuel Broekhof (p.) and Sophia Massawa m.. Teo's father Samuel owns a majority stake in the largest Oil & Gas company in Ouna, AxialOil Co. and is also a Sucheberg District Councillor winning re-election in 2016.
When Teo was a small child, his parent's seperated and in fact were never married. For the early part of his life, Teo would not see his father and lived with his mother in a poorer area of Trawadea. As Teo grew up, he lost interest in academics and was close to being kicked out of school. Hearing about this, his father would step in and began to ave more involvement in Teo's wellbeing.
Teo became interested in motorsport after seeing a 'Demolition Derby' style event in his home country. From that point on he became obsessed with the idea of racing cars. His father agreed, on the condition that Teo paid more attention in school, to buy a Kart for him.
At age 9, Teo owned his very first kart and began driving at the Sucheberg cicuit in his hometown. This is the only legitimate racetrack in the whole of Ouna and there was not much of a motorsport culture un the country at this time.
By age 15, Teo had won back-to-back Karting championships in his home country but had been kicked out of school. Despite his father being disappointed, Teo managed to convince his father to pay for him to go Karting abroad where the competition was more intense. His father obliged, and Teo moved away to continue racing.
While abroad, Teo did not manage to win any Karting competitions despite coming Runner-Up in the Atlantic Karting Junior Championship 2010. At age 17 Teo moved into car racing however.
Between 2011-2014 Teo competed in the Pan-African Touring Car Championship back home winning the series three consecutive times.
He then wished to go back abroad to pursue his dream of competing in the [World Grand Prix Championship[/i]. His father was convinced after a meeting with Engineers who were impressed with Teo's performance in Touring Cars.
2015
Teo competes in the NSAtlantic Formula 3 Championship finishing 7th overall and taking 1 win.
2016
Teo competes in the NS European Touring Car Championship finishing 20th with 6 points over the whole season.
Broekhof has been described by some of his critics as somewhat of a 'Pay Driver' with the sponsorship of his fathers AxialOil payrolling his advancement in the feeder series. He has shown a lot of promise however in his home country of Ouna, and his only season in single-seaters resulted in him winning a race. He has a lack of experience, but a natural talent and a wealth of sponsorship money.
Driving-wise, Teo Broekhof is a very wise drive. A team can trust him to bring the car home in one piece usually. His pace is usually weaker than the lightning fast competitors in higher up series, but this could be down to a lack of experience in setting up a car. He lacks much aggression, making moves stick only when absolutely crucial.
At age 22, Teo is very young and has a lot of potential to grow. He may not be the best option at this time but his sponsorship can hopefully land him in a seat which will help him get the experience he needs.
