Republica in Turmoil as Foreign RepubliNet Hacking Exposes Corruption in Government
by: Royale Truchon

Just 24 hours ago, nobody would have predicted the shocking events that would soon transpire. As it turns out, RepubliNet is indeed connected to the wider Internet, though nobody yet knows how or where the security vulnerability lies in our network. However, the bigger story involves all of the revelations that have been made by foreign hackers in the past day. At this very moment, the Assembly is convening to debate the unthinkable, the impeachment of Consul O'Reilly for numerous crimes against our nation and even if he is not impeached, he is currently under Federation Investigation Bureau investigation for very serious criminal conduct. I can't even figure out where to begin, especially since my editor says I have to assume that somebody has been living under a rock for the past day!

I will begin by first stating my relief at finally being able to write exactly what I think once again, as it appears that the Consul can no longer do anything to silence journalists who would expose his awfulness to the people of our nation For 3 years, Consul O'Reilly has aggressively censored what we can say in the press, through threats of libel lawsuits and other forms of intimidation and he has even used his cBots to control our personal appearance. That lovely picture of myself that accompanies this article was taken prior to the begun of O'Reilly's reign before he took hair dye off the shelves and used regulatory powers to declare it unsafe. Ever since then, I've been stuck with my natural hair color because he thinks he has the right to tell us what to wear and how to style our hair! I still can't believe the gall of this man to think that he can tell me what to do, but I had to submit to him and his patriarchal robots for 3 years. I mean, if God wasn't a patriarchal piece of shit as well, I'd be thanking Him for finally bringing down that misogynistic scumbag that has ruled this nation in recent years. Yes, I called the Consul a misogynistic scumbag and I dare him to do something about it!

To make a long story short, this whole wonderful series of events began yesterday when some awesome foreigners hacked into the RepubliNet and launched something wonderful called a DDoS attack against the cBots. I don't understand a damned thing about computers other than knowing that those men who majored in computer-related fields in college are intent on keeping women out of their field. I mean, we know that women are being kept out of STEM by the Patriarchy because, although women received the majority of university degrees until Consul O'Reilly's Reign of Terror began, STEM is dominated by men, so men have to be keeping us out somehow. I mean, there can be no other explanation for the STEM gap, right? But putting that aside, some awesome computer hackers have apparently been overloading the cBot servers, shutting down those evil abominations that never should have been created in the first place. By doing so, they set the stage for the next series of hacks.

Last night, viewers watching our nation's second Global Cup of Soccer match (which was a boring scoreless draw because soccer), at least got to see something worthwhile while they were glued to their TVs when the television feed cut out to some hackers who spread a bunch of allegations about Consul O'Reilly. As it turns out, there is evidence that Consul O'Reilly was involved in a conspiracy to rig the election 3 years ago and steal it from Sibylla Croteau (#IMSTILLWITHHER!!!) and Younes Danielsson (famous for his "Younes Bro" supporters who hated women almost as much as the scum that supported O'Reilly, but drew the line at hating minorities and the poor). News Magazine has received and published documents proving that these allegations are founded in actual fact. We now know for a fact that O'Reilly stole the election and therefore that his election as Consul is wholly illegitimate.

However, what is more shocking are the other revelations, specifically the tape that was shown last night. On this tape, which was recorded while Consul O'Reilly was a reality TV star, the racist, sexist, homophobic, and xenophobic fascist buffoon that we call our Consul said some rather vile things about women. If you are easily triggered, I urge you to hit the back button now. If you have the stomach for it, please scroll down through the blank space to find out what that scumbag said.

Is this enough blank space? I hope so. Well, here goes: "You know, women are so desperate to be with a star. Believe me. I mean, all I gotta do is grab 'em by the pussy and they'll let me do anything I want to them. Look, I'm sure its the same for Kyle Bolton. Everybody knows that women all around the multiverse are whores who throw themselves at any celebrity they find. This woman from Felix who says she was 'raped' has got to just be upset that she was just his one night stand. I mean, nobody wants to actually live in Felix. Besides, even if she didn't say yes, she meant it and every alpha male knows that! As the kids say these days, 'no means yes and yes means anal!' Believe me. Women love being penetrated and they just love submitting to men. Believe me. Or just ask my wife. The only women that don't like sex are the lesbians and the retards who actually believe in God. I mean, maybe I shouldn't call religious people retards, but seriously, who can be so stupid as to believe in a fairy that lives in the sky and will reward you with eternal bliss if you live a life that sucks? Come on people, if your God wants this life to suck, then being with him for an eternity has to be a living hell. Believe me. But, of course, we all know that lesbians are just too prideful to admit that they like being penetrated by men. Either that or they've never had the attention of a masculine man. And we all know that the best sex comes from those young teenage virgins who have been indoctrinated with that Biblical bullshit and think they're going to go to hell because they like having sex with you! Believe me." At that point, the tape cut out, presumably because FBC stopped filming it in the middle of this rant.

What I find unbelievable is how FBC never even bothered to release this tape of Caleb O'Reilly uttering such filth, probably because they didn't want to tarnish their highest rated weekly television program. Yes, a television network put ratings ahead of being decent human beings. What else is new? When are TV networks going to learn to be accountable and do their part to work for social justice? When are we going to join the current year and become a decent nation? Well, I'd say that a good first step would be an immediate impeachment of O'Reilly the misogynistic piece of shit. This man is unfit to hold office and, I'd argue, should be publicly castrated.

In conclusion, let me just say that I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this shit anymore. Consul O'Reilly, I'm done pandering to you and my editor agrees with me because he's so totally awesome! From now on, News Magazine will not rest until you are removed as Consul and the Free Republics becomes a decent place to live. We are now the platform for social justice warriors and we're proud of it!

Lisander National Football Team

I deeply apologize for this delay in posting my roster. There are lots of obligations to me this early november (including a 90-question + argumentative essay National Exam) and I completely forgot about Global Cup, because the national sport of Lisander is rugby. I will post a temporary roster (A corrected post, with decent formatting will be posted sunday evening after the Exam, as well as a resume to all matches until then.).

Roster
Bold for Starter 11 and 3 usual subs
Image

Formation
Ignore the Level stuff, this is part of another scorinator, irrelevant to this Cup.
Image

Uniforms
Ignore that ||| brand. I had no time to make new uniforms. Main is green, clash is white.

Kosovakia road to the last 16

Daily update

Kosovakia has survived the group stage. They are through to the last 16. It means a lot for us says the coach of the Kosovakian team: 'First we plays a draw The second match we won with 2-0, New we have lose with 3-0 maybe not the best score to lose but we are second in the group! We have to organize a party because this is so nice for the whole team. Ore first tournament! I have nothing to say now I only focus for the next match do we can get it to the quarter-finals? I believe in this.' Well nice words from the coach. We will see if they will win there next match against Cossakastel. Bye for now.

Louise crumbled to the ground.
The game against Cumhact had been her chance of putting an impressive appearance as a player for the Kitsunians.
In fact, Louise was still remembered as the ever so promising talent of Kitsunia-Déesse that faded away following the nation's departure from the World Cup.
A Sioux, a family already used to sports, that simply didn't have the chance to hold the spot of national promise, and with an advanced age, couldn't even match that.
In fact, she had been skipped over her cousin by now. Minnie Sioux-D'Erlands was everything Louise wanted to be and couldn't.
Minnie was playing as a reserve at the ultra competent Granger Dragonites, top of the Sunrisian pyramid.
Louise was stuck with a five-year contract over at Hayden City.
Hayden City was known for being a team at the Fourth Division of the Sunrisian Championship and... well, that's about it.

Louise was on a stupor at the hotel.
Angry at herself for failing to do anything against what was probably one of the lesser opponents of the bunch, the last placer of that group.
Angry that she was stuck at the Fourth Division.
It was time she'd do something different about her life.
A transfer request was sent to Hayden City.
They simply could oblige.
This time, Louise was determined to do her name honesty.
Al-Ghaihir? Prepare to meet your doom.

First Win Sends Kick Corps to Playoffs

FIRST WIN SENDS KICK CORPS TO PLAYOFFS
Written By: Ava Dunbar and Corrie Madison

RECENT RESULTS
FROM GROUP B:
Capital District, Ward 1 4-6 Drawkland
Averyickan City 1-1 Lisander
# Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts

3 Averyickan City 3 1 2 0 6 4 +2 5
4 Capital District, Ward 1 3 0 0 3 6 11 -5 0

PREVIOUSLY
With two draws in the books for the Kick Corps, they needed a win for the last matchday, against Capital District, Ward 1 of Gregoryisgodistan. As long as the match between Lisander and Averyickan City didn't land in a high-scoring draw, Drawkland would be through to the playoffs. And not only did Drawkland rocket through to a playoff qualification, they went straight up to end the group stage on the top of the 4-team heap. Let's see how they did it, shall we?

vs CAPITAL DISTRICT, WARD 1
The team, consisting of Lord Almighty Gregory, his wife, and various minions, was expected to be tough competition before the tournament. They must be tired, bored, or just unwilling to put forth an effort, because they took 2 straight L's in the first two days of the tournament. Drawkland's Kick Corps was ready to go for a win. And that they did, a groundbreaking 4-6 victory that sealed the deal. The entire match was massively entertaining for all those in attendance.

The match started off with a Gregoryisgodistani possession. Lord Almighty Gregory's 666th Concubine passed the ball to the LAG1 himself, and after several minutes of flirting around the Drawkian box, the LAG kicked one from the left straight into the goal, over Savannah Everett's outstretched arms. 1-0 Ward 1. Everett knew that the best option was to pass it back out to Ellzidan to start off the Drawkian possession, which was really the safest and smartest move she could've done. Ellzidan slid past a few concubines and took the ball far into Gregoryisgodistani territory on the pitch. Not actual Gregoryisgodistani territory, because then we'd probably get on the oh-so-special enemy list.2 The attackers passed the ball around until Ellzidan found an opening and fired it past Lord Almighty Gregory's Butler to score. By the 20th minute, the score was a solid 1-1, with an avidly watching crowd and a nearly-constantly playing pep band.3 The rest of the half was an offensive slugfest between the two quality Forward lines. You'd think that the God of the Universe would be much better at smiting his opponents and scoring all the goals, but he didn't. He did score 2 goals before the half though, with Katie Madison and Mickey Watson accounting for another 2 goals on the Drawkian side of things. At the half, the score was a rousing 3-3.

Coming back after the half came a similarly firey offensive showdown, but the defenses began to really shine. Sarah Arrowsword managed 6 interceptions and 2 tackles on the Ward 1 offense, which held them to only a single goal the entire rest of the half. Meanwhile, the combined power Lord Almighty Gregory's Pancake Chef, Lord Almighty Gregory's Fourth Pastry Chef, Lord Almighty Gregory's Ninth Maid, and Lord Almighty Gregory's Second Llama Feeder At The Mansion's Petting Zoo4 could simply not match the power that Arrowsword, Pack, and Warren could manage. A Madison brace and Jackie Crawford's first goal on the international stage added to the score, until the the score was 4-6 at the final whistle. Drawkland had done it, and a 1-1 draw between Lisander and Averyickan City sealed the deal for the Kick Corps.

PLAYOFFS
Drawkland goes on to play Paradisiam in the first round of the playoffs. Honestly, we're expecting this one to be rather a blowout in Kick Corps' favor. The Paradisiam line seems to not have anybody of note, and the Kick Corps has simply been on fire lately, and nothing seems to show them stopping anytime soon. We don't really know what else to say. It's gonna be a great game in Felix.

KIT RELEASE
More excitingly and perhaps importantly, Meski Sports have released new kits for Drawkland's national team. That's right, the Kick Corps are sporting new uniforms in classic GoodTermic style.5 So, without further ado, here they are, in all their beautiful, RedBlackilandi glory.6
Image
The Home Kit, sporting the name of the amazing Ellzidan, who will probably wear this jersey longer than anyone else.
Image
The Away Kit, sporting the name of Sarah Arrowsword, who is totally a thousand times better than her bastard brother Andrew.
Image
The Goalkeeper Kit, currently only worn by Savannah Everett, but will maybe someday be worn by her little sister/a long line of amazing Drawkian Keepers.

No word from DISC, the Kick Corps, or anyone on how long these jerseys will be in use, but our guess is probably 3 or 4 cycles. The only official comment we got on them was from Ellzidan herself, who said "I love them so much, I don't think I'm gonna take them off. Ever. Okay, maybe to wash them, but you get it."

PREDICTIONS
As we always do, here's predictions for the playoffs. And, as we always seem to do, we will predict them entirely wrong and be upset by the first half of the Round of 16. Don't call us to do your brackets, unless maybe you're trying to do the NSCAA Ultra 64.
Felix's home field advantage and previous World Cup experience will give them the clear W on The Westenian Union. They'll go on to play Great Caledonia and North Hybernia in the quarterfinals, who barely edge over the slight weak Lisander side. Felix will probably win that game too and advance to the Semis.
Drawkland will of course, smash Paradisiam and go on to play Kosovakia in the quarterfinals. Kosovakia is a quality side, so we're guessing they'll put up some major resistance, but ultimately we gotta root for our own guys. Slight Drawkian advantage and a ticket to the Semis with it.
Esvorpita, a previously-quality program, will take down Verlzonia in the Round of 16. Paradisiam Islands will fall to the monolithic and feared Free Republics, who will go on to defeat Esvorpita and make it to the Semis as well.
New Lonopolian Empire is, well, too new, and will be beaten semi-easily by the older Pays den Haut team. Kitsunia-Deesse will smush Al-Ghaihir and Pays den Haut, to play Free Republics in the Semis.

Drawkland versus Felix is a tough match, it's the quality new side and our homegirls versus the ex-experienced and hosting nation. All in all though, we expect a narrow win (probably AET or even by PKs) to push Drawkland into the final. Free Republics is a great team, Kitsunia Deesse is a great (and hot)7 team, so really it's anybody's guess. Our guess in particular is that the land of the Free will narrowly defeat the heart-filled yet shaky team.
The final, Drawkland versus Free Republics, will be a tough one for sure, and one to definitely go and see. However ... you know who will win it. Ours truly. Death to Dumpy O'Rumpy! The third place match, Felix versus Kitsunia, is also a well-fought match but eventually the hosts will fall, unfortunately on the home pitch.

So that's our report for the day. Kick Corps, you know what to do.

1 Funny-sounding acronym which we will now always use forever.
2 Maybe a Grammar Enforcement Officer will execute me for not capitalizing "Enemy List."
3 Hey, when you don't have to play a halftime show, why save your chops during the match?
4 I wish I had a name like that. Can I have a name like that? Without having to become a Gregoryisgodistani citizen? Because seriously ...
5 In case you didn't know, the players were just wearing their club uniforms during the group stage. We're not sure how they legally pulled that off. Still better than the kits Avon used this cycle though. At least they got something with Meski for next cycle, because DAMN. Choicedye T-shirts, amirite?
6 Is that their denonym? I hope it's their denonym.
7 Wait, did I just type that?

Assembly Votes to Impeach Caleb O'Reilly as FeministvsLeaks Continues to Expose O'Reilly Bigotry and Corruption
by: Royale Truchon

In one of the most remarkable and inspiring votes in the history of the FFR, the Assembly voted today to impeach Consul Caleb O'Reilly. This sets up a vote in the Senate to determine whether or not to remove O'Reilly from office. This vote is widely expected to be a mere formality. Following the vote to impeach him, Consul O'Reilly appeared on national television and defiantly trashed the Assembly. "Today, the Assembly of Traitors has voted to Make Republica Suck Again in a completely illegitimate and totally rigged process. They have been completely unfair. Believe me. Believe me."

The speech by the man known throughout the multiverse as Dumpy O'Rumpy (yes, I used *that* name and I dare that walking Dumpster to sue me, my editor, News Magazine and News Media over it if he dares!) was the most preposterous yet, as the now-impeached moronic fascist decided to make threats against the Assembly, the Senate and all those seeking to bring him down in the name of all that is Good and Socially Just. "Our movement is under attack like never before. Like never before. It is time for all of you Great supporters of mine to rise up and stand up to these foreign-funded scum who seek to remove me from power." I just want to say that I, as a journalist who has been living in poverty ever since I graduated college and totally can't even afford to pay back my student loans, resent the accusation that I am on the payroll of some foreign nation. If only I was, then I wouldn't have to be so poor! Speaking of student loans, why is it that the FFR has never had free college like other nations do? I mean, in Saintland (either East or West), the government will pay for your education. The same is true in the Social Justice Islands and, even in Acedonia, the government does its part to keep college education affordable. Yet, ours has never done that, which is something that our next leaders need to change. We also totally need a student loan forgiveness program of some sort, so I won't have to spent the rest of my life paying just interest to those damned loan sharks who like totally raped me financially! I mean, a journalism degree shouldn't be a ticket to poverty, should it?

Well, speaking of O'Reilly, FeministvsLeaks has released more documents exposing the corruption of Dumpy "The Dumpster" O'Rumpy, as he'd be called in the world of professional wrestling. Speaking of professional wrestling, that's one thing that never recovered from Consul Kulseth, which is a shame because toward the end they were starting to focus more and more on strong, inspiring, female characters since everybody knows women are better wrestlers than men! I mean sure, the RWC was misogynistic and/or otherwise reactionary at times, like everybody else in entertainment, but it was enough of a force for progress that women were allowed to be the main event toward the end. I mean, just look at the soccer team representing us in Felix right now. Its all men. At least in wrestling, we could cheer for heroes and boo villains. That's something that probably ought to be brought back once we Open Our Borders Again.

Well, you may be wondering why we're suddenly referring to the leaks as FeministvsLeaks. The answer is because the international human rights movement Feministvs Orbis is behind the leaks. Feministvs Orbis is a new initiative launched by Feministvs Sanctvsterra, the fantastic governing party of West Saintland, to promote feminist principles around the multiverse. FeministvsLeaks is their subsidiary, which specializes in exposing misogyny and other forms of social injustice.

As it turns out, FeministvsLeaks is the entity releasing the documents that expose the corruption of Consul O'Reilly. In the latest documents, O'Reilly has been revealed to have repeatedly cheated on his wife, even in his office. Other documents have revealed that he framed the late, great Consul Nicholls and his son Veleik with documents that were total fabrications. Furthermore, these documents have revealed that he conspired with Citrus Computing and a teacher at Barteaux Academy in Republica named Sister Maria Polus to utilize the cBots as a means of enslaving the population of the Free Republics and binding us to his will. As we all know, the cBots got out of control extremely quickly and began acting totally contrary to both the letter and the spirit of the law. We now know that this was intentional and was not a mistake.

Speaking of the cBots, earlier today the DDoS hacking of their servers came to an end and they suddenly reactivated for a few moments only to self-destruct. According to sources which spoke with News Magazine on condition of anonymity, the foreign hackers who have been exposing Dumpy's corruption modified their knowledge base by adding what they called the "negation of the existing knowledge base" to the knowledge base. According to these sources, this turned the entire cBot knowledge base into a giant contradiction, basically paralyzing the instruments of tyranny without the need for perpetual hacking of their servers. According to my sources, who apparently actually understand that AI mumbo-jumbo, this means that we will not have to worry about the cBots again unless their entire knowledge base is wiped and rebuilt from scratch, which should take months. Fortunately, the attorneys general of 33 Republics have already filed a class-action lawsuit against Citrus Computing, so hopefully the courts will shut down Citrus Computing before they can fix those engines of social injustice. But if you value your freedoms, such as your freedom to advocate for social justice, make sure you tell your Senators where you stand on the removal of the Dumpster from office so we can get rid of him once and for all. Sic Semper Tyrannis!

The Empire Wins its Group!

After defeating The United Latin America 2-0, The Empire won group F despite having the same amount of wins, points, and GD as the second place finisher, Free Republics. The first goal came at the 34 minute mark when Goalkeeper M. Rivero tried drop kicking a shot, but ended up hitting A. Vyqarrarro of The Empire in the face, causing it to rebound into the net before Rivero had a chance to respond. The final goal of the match came later on during the 85th when G. Zsoredegg of the Empire made a sprint down the center-right of the field. He took a shot around the penalty line, and it went in to the top-left corner of the goal; Rivero instead slid to the left due to a miscalculation in his part. Sister Polus's Thoughts

Hello, I am Sister Maria Polus. I am the Housemistress of Tomlinson House at the Barjavel Academy at Republica, the Instructor in Religious Studies, Deportment and Latin at the Academy and the Headmistress of the Barjavel Junior Academy. I am joining you today on VirtueTube and across RepubliNet to discuss various current events in this time of utmost wickedness.

Let me begin by congratulating the O'Reilly Organization on the success of the Global Cup of Soccer thus far. Those of us watching the Global Cup have seen a tournament of superior quality to the so-called World Cup run by an organization that isn't corrupt and hosted in a single nation, Felix. So far, Mr. Dono Trufet's organization has done an excellent job of hosting this competition and the Republican National Team has personified Republican Exceptionalism, especially in their phenomenal victory against a capable Paradisiam Islands squad in the Round of 16.

However, that is where the good news stops at the present time. Recently, the terrorist organization known as Feministvs Orbis, backed by the so-called "Kingdom of Saintland", a terror state based in the lawless western half of Saintland, launched a serious of attacks against our nation. Somehow, these criminals managed to find a means of accessing RepubliNet via the wider Interet and then proceeded to launch a distributed denial of service attack against the servers that operate the cBots, special robotic assistants that help prevent crime and maintain discipline in our schools. This is an attack, not just on our networks but also on the very idea of law and order. In recent days, crime has skyrocketed in the Free Republics and I have found that it is increasingly difficult to maintain discipline, to the point that I have been unable to teach anything in my classes for several weeks due to all the time I have to spend punishing miscreants. Recently, we discovered that many of the cBots sustained possibly irreparable damage to their circuits and internal memory due to malicious malware that was planted inside of them.

On the bright side, however, I have spoken to King Andreas of Saintland and the King has informed me that the cBots in Saintland are now operational once again. While they were also disabled in the DDoS, it seems that King Andreas backed up the data on the cBot servers and launched new servers running in Saintland. However, their knowledge base is no longer synced with the knowledge base of Republican cBots. The Consul's Legion is currently hard at work trying to restore the correct cBot source code and get these wonderful machines up and running again. I believe that the cBots should be up and running again before the week is out.

In other news, certain forged documents were released by the terrorists who sabotaged law and order in our Great Nation. These forged documents allege many things about the Consul which are simply not true. I want to warn everybody that it is unlawful to read, obtain, distribute or repeat the contents of those documents and that all violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible under the law. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, attempt to read any of the so-called "FeministvsLeaks" documents, all of which contain lies.

At this time, I can confirm that every member of the Assembly that voted to impeach Consul O'Reilly over these malicious falsehoods spread by international terrorist organizations will be arrested before you finish viewing this video. As I speak, police are headed to the Assembly building to arrest anybody even suspected of obtaining these falsehoods and I can also confirm that Consul O'Reilly has just filed a 50 billion thaler libel lawsuit against News Magazine and their parent News Media for publishing false and defamatory articles, such as those written by Royale Truchon. I have also heard that this "lady" may soon be facing criminal prosecution.

Let me be clear: The resolution impeaching Consul O'Reilly is unlawful and any attempt by the Senate to vote to remove the Consul will result in immediate arrest of any Senator who expresses support for that illegal resolution. Should the Senate as a whole purport to remove the Consul from office, I urge him to not tolerate this corrupt process, but instead to dissolve the Assembly, Senate and courts and claim their power for his own. Consul O'Reilly should not recognize the legitimacy of any traitor who conspires against him. I am Sister Maria Polus and I thank you for watching.

Kosovakia's dream will end in the quarter-finals

For the first time Kosovakia participate in the NS Football. This was Kosovakia's first football tournament (Official tournament). Kosovakia had a great time here in Felix. They have played good matches one of the highlights was the 3-1 victory against Cossakastal, But now it's all over. The Quarter-finals where the finish for the Kosovakian team. One of the Kosovakian players says: 'It was so great we have won the match against Cossakastal in the Round of 16. After that match we have only one goal win the Global Cup of Soccer. But now it's over, I know it's ore first tournament and we have played good for ore first time. But you know it's hard to lose if you are one of the 8 best teams here. Now we have to go.' That was one of the Kosovakian players. As you now Kosovakia have made History. Nothing more to say now. I wish the four other teams good luck! Oh and don't forget have a good day, Bye!

As much as newspapers at the Sunrise Islands were much more enticed by the fact the Sunrisian team had outdone itself, reaching the semis even, a small corner was excited about someone else.
Louise Sioux's wish for departure from Hayden City took advantage of the Kitsunians surprise foray into international football.
And while opposition wasn't exactly high standards as far as they were aware, the now on-sale striker was a dream in the making for most Sunrisian teams.

"Louise Sioux has the ball! She already scored in this 1-1 draw and maybe could be looking into accomplishing more!"
The Kitsune rolled the ball over Al-Ghaihr's number six, progressing into their box.
A swift tail sweep guaranteed she'd put the ball over the number four.
She spun around, finally ending with the ball on her feet.
Her shot was furious.
Devious.
Strong.
It certainly accomplished what she wanted, a goal to guarantee Kitsunia-Deesse on the Quarter-Finals.

She was satisfied with the little note on De Placa, still more focused over matters that were more key to their homeland.
Still, a nice little note saying "Louise Sioux rises, Kitsunia 2-0 at the GCoS" was a reason to smile.
She patted herself on the back, but there was much more to be done.

San Pozo, Napoli.
Home of the decent once-FFL side Napoli, the green and whites still on their old Vulpine kickers.
And a team in green was playing again there.
Kitsunia-Deesse faced Pays d'en Haut.
The side of clans wasn't exactly a match for the Kitsunians as it seemed.
Rather pleasing given how unpleased they were about having to play the Kitsunes but still.
But focus was once again at the number 22.
Louise Sioux had been breaking knees, busting hips and hurting hands, each shot more vicious than the other.
Sunrisian media would know that, even at this circumstances, the Kitsunes were alive and still quality for their league.
But more important than that, the big Sunrisian teams would see her talents and realize that she was of proper quality to the Sunrisian Championship A.
The Kitsune made another knee-breaking dribble, leaving an upset Jean-François (clan Groulx) angered, at the floor, having tumbled down.
She could only see the goalkeeper on her way.
The rest simply wasn't able to catch her.
Louise advanced.
The goalkeeper was ready to punch the ball off her.
A smirk on her face as she took higher ground, lifting the ball over Simon (clan Gauthier) and scoring the first goal.
It was only minute 10.

Jean-Christophe (clan Gallant) was really upset by this point.
Louise Sioux and the rest of the Kitsunians seemed focused on embarassing their opposition but not really score.
It was Sunrisian Football 101 and it could possibly make you famous.
And that was the sort of hope the team's members had.
The Kitsunians had been taken for granted on their Sunrisian teams, but now it was time to see if they could fix it.
At last, Louise Sioux decided to score again.
Louise had the ball again.
Demoralizing dribbling had been in full effect.
Those Kitsunians were on a mean streak and Louise Sioux was particularly feisty to take them down.

Minute 81.
Once again, Louise's shot had been hard to keep out.
Simon (clan Gauthier) knocked the ball for a corner.
Francine Coquelin looked around, the ball in front of her.
Sophie Plebonesqueteu left her goal, joining the players.
It seemed desperate, granted the team was still on the lead.
But she had a plan on mind.
Francine aimed hard on Plebonesqueteu.
The ball flew over the heads of many before Sophie headed it.
An horizontal route from the keeper's head soon followed as the ball was finally in front of...
...
Louise Sioux.
She pulled the ball backwards a bit, taking it from the hands of the keeper.
Another air move guaranteed that Jean-Christophe (clan Gallant) would recover.
And finally, Louise shot the ball.
This time, there was nothing on the way.
The ball was in.
2-0.

Louise didn't really complain that De Placa was more focused over the impressive results of the Sunrisians.
Hell, she was even happier.
What once was a corner was now even bigger.
It might've even been bigger news if Matthewsiania too didn't survive in the Cup of Harmony.
Still, she was sure people were looking at her.
This was her chance, after all.

"Sis, when did uncle Brüno became your agent?" Elise asked with much confusion.
Louise nodded. "When my last agent left me due to not being worth the investment."
Elise sighed. "Déesse, sister. You have it hard."
Her sister smiled, laying on her chair. "A bit, I guess. But don't mind, I'm sure there's something good for me now."
"Well..." Louise laughed, dropping some mail for her. "People are really up for you."
She looked at the cards, finding one specially interesting.
Neuville Scythers.

When one considers how hidden the Ligue Majeure du Football de Kitsunia ended up being, few can remember of how bright it first started.

The league resulted from Kitsunia-Déesse's wish to simplify their league and avoid a possible financial crash. Teams were now strictly professional with major sides like Armée de la Déesse changing names (and some times even location) for the first season of the Premiere Division of that new set-up. With a logo granted by Wolfopolitan design company Kaplewof and kits by Red Blackilandian kitwear Meski, one could see the LMF-K becoming a powerhouse league. But why did it not happen? Why is it relegated to the Emirates of Futurnian usual level?
That's a rather interesting question.

Image
The move to Esportiva didn't last: Kitsunes struggled to stay at Esportiva for long

The move to a bigger region didn't exactly flow all that easily at the land of Kitsunia-Déesse. Having moved from its' former lands, the sole peaceful bit of the Holy Kitsunian Empire found itself rather unpleased by the Esportivan sight. They were too noisy, some with the rather awful need for war. Plus, they didn't appreciate getting those weird looks every time a reunion was needed and a Kitsunian had to appear.
The LMF-K, amongst all this, was formed by twenty teams. Cápitale Legión, Wolfenstade Ehrgeiz, Ostreine Juvene, Guerriers Aztèques, Santerbourg Frontière, Bonanza Saints, Modelle Australes, Cápitale Soeurs, Soleis Rois-et-Reines, Fortune Métropolites, Bellemont Ruritáin, Serebii Arceus, Orange Mécanique, Lorient Vulpina, Rimouski Sous-Marina, Avalon United, Montagnard Novabern, Caen Draveurs, Fortune Rôdeurs and Olympique Rochefort.
They all hailed from a different part of the country, but were also based after an actual team of the past of the Kitsunian lands.

And why the LMF-K failed to catch on again?
Well, a plethora of reasons.

ImageImage
Bubblegum stickers featuring Les Guérriers were a common thing back in the day

The country's closure to foreign interest that followed from their departure of the World Cup circuit and reclusion to the Emirates of Futurnia damaged the league visibly.
Unlike other countries from the region, the Kitsunians' efforts to focus towards their own efforts didn't go very well.
Players that knew they could get more outside left.
This, of course, included many proeminent Kitsunians.
The famed Sioux footballing family was almost all out of Kitsunia-Déesse by 2020.
Hadn't Claire realized the state of things before letting shadier politicians mess around, the state of Kitsunian football would probably end up weaker.

Image
Image
Two of the LMF-K sides

The lack of image consistency hurt the league early on.
People were used to the Amateur-esque scene of Kitsunian football.
The pro aspect of things, sponsors and whatnot became troubling.
Fears of teams buying out their competition would make the league push a rule towards a limit on expenditures regarding international transfers and even some sort of cap over domestic transfers.
Teams simply didn't get much of a chance to improve, though some would score a couple of free agents.

The UICA flat-out refused to accept the Kitsunian entrants over a healthier Matthewsianian league.
Not that the LMF-K was a corrupt competition, but things looked so bleak, it didn't seem to fit very well to have them play against the giants of the Multiverse.
Kitsunia-Déesse pushed itself even farther from the international community.
Claire simply shrugged.
Kitsunia was no longer interesting to the outside world.
No longer fun.
And as so, the Kitsunes figured they'd have to settle their own matters, at last, the sole thing left.

Until a blip of interest appeared.
One by one, the Futurnian region woke up.
And with them, the Kitsunes.
They'd be back? Who knows.
But for once, there was a chance the LMF-K could get good.

PREVIOUSLY
With the group stage off in the books and Drawkland off to a great start to the Global Cup of Soccer, the playoffs stand in the way of Drawkland and its first piece of soccer/football/kickerball silverware. Facing Paradisiam in the Round of 16 was not expected to be a massive challenge, and thus advancing to the Quarterfinals to face Kosovakia was well-expected across the board.

vs PARADISIAM
Another of the several teams with no roster, Paradisiam didn't seem to have very much to say during this match. Despite having a rather hard group stage (only getting into the playoffs off of Head-to-Head over Santaclausisgodistan since they were tied 1-0-2), they put up a decent defense on top of the high-quality striking line of the Kick Corps. Interestingly, the first and only score of the game was done by midfielder Mandy Thompson, her first international goal, who saw an opening and took a hard shot on the goal which ripped past the Keeper and crossed the goal line at a steep angle to get the score to 0-1.

The rest of the game was utterly dry and pretty much bored the crowd; if it weren't for the Kick Corps Band playing for almost the entire game, the entire crowd would've gotten bored and left. There weren't even that many interesting occurrences other than goal shots, only one yellow card was shown (to Ella Cornelius) for a rather "off-target" tackle on a Paradisiam mid. But, regardless of the crowd reaction, it was still a win, and one good enough to advance the Corps to the Quarterfinals against the equally new but hard-playing Kosovakia.

vs KOSOVAKIA
This game, After Extra Time, ended the same as the one versus Paradisiam - the only goal scored in the entire game was by Drawkian feet. Still, the game was much more interesting. Shots on and off the goal were abounding this match, but it simply could not come together like they have for both teams earlier in this tournament. Yellow cards were fast and loose out of the referee's hands, and not just for one side. 7 players in total, 3 from Kosovakia and 4 from Drawkland, were shown cards, but nobody was given a red - which bodes well for all players left in this tournament.

From about the 30' to the 55' mark, there were 8 shots on the goal, 4 from each side, but each time, the astounding goalies Savannah Everett and Dimitri Dojlovic saved the shots and kept the game moving at a starving 0-0. And this wasn't necessarily fault of notably bad offense and notably good defense: both teams were performing at maximum, but the striking could not match what the defenders were putting out. As the match started to wane, after 85', the Kosovakian striker Martin Mistov began having a field day, making 4 shots on the goal himself, tiring out Everett and pulling the game into intense Kosovakian favor. However, the 4 minutes added time was not enough, and after a failed corner kick (saved again by Everett), the ref called for a short break before throwing in Extra Time.

The band started playing a new, never-before-heard arrangement of background music for Extra Time which made the atmosphere more tense and tight than the game had been. It was Stella Moore who finally broke the dry streak at 106', scoring a huge goal, faking out Dojlovic and getting the ball into the opposite corner of the goal. The game seemed to fly by then, the last half hour or so unfortunately featured no new goals from the Drawkian or Kosovakian side. And with that, Drawkland took in another win and another advancement in the Global Cup of Soccer, at the expense of a great and high-quality side.

OTHER PLAYOFFS
Across the GCoS we can tell our predictions weren't the best from the start of the playoffs. Felix lost in the Round of 16 on Penalty Kicks (4-5, too), which upset a large portion of our bracket. To fill that whole came Great Caledonia and North Hybernia, who are the next opponents for the Drawkian team. Kosovakia did win, and this part of the bracket has gone exactly as planned. Esvorpita unexpectedly lost against Verlzonia, who went on to play the Free Republics, who smashed them absolutely with an 0-7 win. Free Republics have gone on to face Kitsunia in the semis, who had to hop over Pays den Haut and succeeded, as we expected.

PREDICTIONS
And thus, the Semifinalists are now known. Drawkland and Great Caledonia & North Hybernia, Free Republics and Kitsunia-Deesse. We, of course, expect Drawkland to win their semifinal against the less notable GCNH, but the match between the massive Free Republics and the "underdog" Kitsunia-Deesse is expected to be a tough and wild match. Our prediction? Drawkland winning the final against Kitsunia and Free Republics easily taking third place.

So, until then, folks. Good luck Kick Corps.

OOC: Given recent events in RL, I have decided to alter the ending of this RP line.

Consul O'Reilly's Speech to the Nation

Hello to all of my fellow Republicans. Today, I want to speak with you about something very, very important to speak with you about. Specifically, I want to talk to you about the current crisis in our Great Federation and the upcoming vote to remove me from office. Believe me, I'm as stunned by recent events as all of you are. I have no idea how or why I became your Consul. Believe me. Please, believe me.

My last memory before recent days was apparently several years ago just weeks after Consul Kulseth fell and a man named Robert Nicholls was named as your new Consul. Believe me. From what I have been able to piece together, it appears that someone or something may have taken possession of my body and impersonated me for all of these years. Look, I know I joked about running for Consul over and over again over the years, but I never had any desire whatsoever to actually do it. I was just saying I was going to run as a publicity stunt because I have no interest in or knowledge about governing a country. Believe me.

Now, it appears that I have been referred to by many as "Dumpy O'Rumpy" for the past few years and that a sinister force, probably from another dimension, orchestrated my rise to power after placing me under mind control. Believe me. It turns out that the spirit named Kak that 6channers have been worshiping lately is actually a god from the Realm of the Gods. More specifically, this is the god of darkness, which commonly takes the form of a bat that looks just like Lele the Bat, the popular cartoon character and which has been using me as an instrument to control this dimension. Believe me, I am not making any of this up.

Now, as it turns out, I have done some things in recent years that I am proud of. For example, I created the Global Cup of Soccer which is a wonderful, beautiful soccer tournament that has been a massive success and in doing so, I hope that I have mended our relations, at least somewhat, with the nation of Felix. However, I have also done many, many things that are not who I am and which I deeply regret. Tonight, I wish to ask your forgiveness. I wish to seek forgiveness from all who have been wronged by me and to make amends to all of them, even though I was not in control of my actions during that time.

Now, I am well aware that there are many out there who will claim that I am not telling the truth, but I ask you to believe me. Look, I've been a pawn of some nasty forces that are using me as an instrument to enslave and eventually destroy our dimension. I do not and never have had any desire to be Consul or to be any part of this evil scheme. Therefore, with a heavy heart, I am announcing that I am resigning as your Consul effective immediately. Believe me, I mean exactly what I'm saying right now. Furthermore, I have ordered the release of Consul Nicholls from prison and ask that he be permitted to serve out the remainder of the term for which I was elected. and that the new Consul elected in next year's election take my place instead.

It is time for this nation to come together and heal, now that our long national nightmare is over. I am no longer your Consul but I will do everything in my power to make the Free Republics truly great again. I thank you for listening to my speech. May God bless the FFR!

The fox was in the box.
The fox was trully in the box.
Kitsunia-Déesse's players complained as Minnie Sioux-D'Erlands laid down on the field.
A harsh tackle from Joshua Fisher had been enough to take down the prospective number 10.
The obligatory red card pretty much followed.
Louise Sioux tried to help her up but she refused.
Sophie Plebonesqueteu looked at her sister, handing her the ball.
"It's... it's only fair you do it."
Minnie got dragged out of the field.
Louise sighed.
The game had been pretty harsh, with Free Republics' traditional qualities very present.
As in they probably generated about the same annoyance Pays den Haut granted them.
The Kitsunes weren't exactly upset, but there was something massive not going right.
They weren't scoring.
Chances didn't click.
Tries didn't exactly follow their actual end.
The game was going to a stalemate.
Maybe even a penalty shootout.

Louise took a deep breath.
The Kitsunians had never reached an actual final.
This could be their first time.
Could one even imagine the deep impact this would have in Kitsunian football?
Louise Sioux only had to score.
She only...
Had to...
Score.
That small distance grew on her eyes.
For what was about a couple of seconds, she contemplated what would happen if she missed.
Neuville would change their minds.
Kitsunia would go on to a third place play-off.
Not a bad reach, but not as good as it could be for a Kitsunian team.
She shook her head.
The distance returned to its' normal size.
She booted the ball without any idea on mind.
The ball was launched.
Keir Wood went to the left.
It passed Keir Wood.
1-0.
Kitsunia-Déesse only had to hold the win.

Sioux scored, Kitsunia won.
Time to face the rather robotic Great Caledonia.
Time to take the kids to school.
And boy, the fox was going in for the box.

Elise rushed to the nursery room.
Her sister was there, sitting down, an ice pack over her right knee.
"Don't worry, Elise." Minnie nodded. "Just a bad bump."
Elise gave a sigh of relief.
"So. Did Louise score?"
The two looked at each other, a smile formed at Elise's face. "Right through the net."
Louise was carried over by her team mates on the way back into the locker.
She had a massive smile.

La Déesse felt something rather unique.
Pride.
She was accompanied by the other former Holy Kitsunian Empire leaders, the oldest one among a bunch of young little kitsunes with rather complex dresses.
And boy, was she proud of it.
La Déesse felt her blood pump.
Maybe there was some interest on playing football, after all.
Maybe there was something good on it.
But how would she pull something out of it?
...
"Didn't Matthewsiania get absorbed into the USI?" asked one of the leaders.
"...Yes." Clare replied.
"Why don't you challenge them for a match? Winner gets the WCC registered spot."
...
"That's brilliant!"
She smiled, bolting off, her caretaker Viola hot on her trail. "Madam, wait! They're not disappearing!"
