Great Palkia National Team

Roster 4-4-2 Diamond Back/ Style Mod 2

------------------------------

Coach

Marc Rogers (age 42)
This is Marc Roger's first year with these boys but he has already created strong bonds and friendships with each and every one of these boys. Rogers is a benevolent, but strict coach. He makes sure to keep the boys in line and is not afraid to hand out punishments.

------------------------------

Starters

1. Conner Portrey (GK/ age 26)
Portrey has been considered a very talented goalkeeper, but his rise to the National Team was extremely quick and surprising. He is a dedicated keeper, humble and efficient. Outside the field, Portrey enjoys spending time with his wife.

2. Skyler Lawson (CB/ age 24)
Lawson is an incredibly smart defender. He is able to spot plays developing, and he puts himself in a perfect position to make a stop. He has developed a reputation for playing his best against the toughest of opponents. Lawson is never afraid of a good fight and will always stand up for what is right.

3. Nate Smart (CB/ age 25)
Smart has built a reputation as a quick thinking defender. Smart is able to distribute the ball quickly out of his third of the field and get the ball up to the strikers. He also lead the league in assists last season.

4. Tyler Hill (RB/ age 22)
Right full back seems to be hills position, although sometimes Hill finds difficulties in controlling the ball in the opponent's third of the field. But his talent in crossing and in making solo runs compensates this fact. It is almost sure that Hill is the fastest-developing player of this squad. Off the field he is seen studying for college and training.

5.Weston Dah (LB/ age 21)
Dah is a new edition to the National Team this year after being nominated as rookie of the year for his club team. Dah loves his soccer moves, especially his step over hook. Dah was originally a midfielder but was transferred to defense after lack of defensive players.

6. Luke Rasmussen (CM/ age 27)
Rasmussen is a very competitive player. He always has to win and demands a lot out of his teammates. Rasmussen is known for his terrific crosses and does his best to create goal scoring opportunities for his teammates.

7. Dalton Churilla (CM/ age 28) Captain
Churilla is one of the kindest people you will ever meet off the field, but when he is on the field, you do not want to get on his bad side. Churilla has been very accurate with his passes and crosses lately so coach Rogers decided to give him a chance with taking the free kicks.

8. Treyson Parkinson (LM/ age 25)
Parkinson has not had the easiest life. When he was eight his parents divorced and his father got custody over him. His mother died in a car crash two months later. Even though he had a difficult start to his life, that didn't stop him. He practiced and worked hard almost every day and finally his dream has come true.

9. Kinyon Colmere (RM/ age 26)
No one knew that Colmere was going to be called for the National Team. Colmere is act as if he is lazy but he is quite the opposite. He doesn’t create tons of moves or assists, but will certainly score if the opportunity appears. Surprisingly, he is also pretty good in giving defensive support to the team, helping whenever needed. And he is also good at diving too, surely a helpful talent.

10. Jacob Twitchell (RF/ age 24) Captain
Since his infancy, Twitchell has been taught how to be a better soccer player and a better teammate by his father who was a former world cup champion. Whenever coach Rogers gives out assignments, you can count on him to be the first one to do it.

11. Cole Spencer (LF/ age 22)
Spencer is really a promising player, but one who will have problems in entering the team who play with different strategies than his club team. Spencer doesn't see much playing time but he surely will get many chances in the future.

------------------------------

Substitutes

1. Dallin Jacobs (LB/ age 23)
A smart player, Jacobs is a player that loves to go to move with the ball, and is good in dribbling and excellent at passing. Unfortunately, Jacobs is not all that fast but, no one is perfect. Outside the field you can find him working out at a gym or dating.

2. Daniel Taylor (RB/ age 25)
Taylor is often seen as just a hard-working player, one who can shine thanks to dedication and team work. But there is more in this player. Taylor is brilliant in understanding tactics and in field vision, being able to instantly notice the better way and place to put a pass. It is rare for Taylor to score a goal, but fairly common to see he involved in one.

3. Brennan Brown (CM/ age 24)
Surely one of the most devoted players on the team, one that plays without any other worries during the ninety minutes. Taylor is a true midfielder, who rarely goes to the attack, and tireless when marking.

4. Sawyer Olsen (LM/ age 20)
Olsen is the youngest players on the team but certainly not the worst. People have always told him that he was too young to play on the National Team but Olsen made them eat their words. He is now the back up midfielder for Parkinson.

5. Samuel McCoy (RM/ age 23)
McCoy is obsessed with his soccer moves. He uses a different move on almost every defender who gets in his way and always finds a way to get to the goal. He is very cocky but his teammates do their best to keep him in check.

5. Conner Humphrey (LF/ age 26)
A player with practically no weakness, but no real strong points either. Humphrey knows how to do a bit of everything. He can head well, shoot, dribble, pass, finish, and even tackle. But doesn’t shine in any of these areas. But, due to being such a complete player, he turns out to be a very talented one.

6. James Young (RF/ age 21)
Young was originally a goalkeeper but was put out of his position by portrey. Since then, Young has been working hard to learn everything he needs to know about his new position and is looking forward to time on the field.

Formation: 3-2-2-3 (Hourglass)

DEF: #3 Samuel Grayberg, 24, 6'7", 230
DEF: #5 Henrik Alberts, 31, 5'7", 155

MID: #6 Mikka Salomon, 20, 6'1", 186
MID: #7 Alexander Hansen, 23, 6'2", 206
MID: #8 Tomas Ahlgren, 26, 5'11", 210

Style:

Playing in their inaugural tournament, the team has yet to develop much of an identity, but they definitely should not be counted out. Two pre-tournament friendlies against Kaboomlandia went decently well, losing only 2-0 and 2-1 to the big boys. Simply getting a goal on Ryan White's trap should be an accomplishment.

Nuevo Caracas
Oisinistan
Dabblslyvokia

FLUVIQUE
NsCode: FLU
Formation: 4-3-3
Style Modifier: -1
Nickname: The White Foxes

With more than 38.000.000 inhabitants in 4.219.000 km², Fluvique is one of the biggest countries in Rushmore. A country where cheek kisses replaced handshakes. A nation where the adults have fun as children and where, in the street, the pedestrians speak aloud. A country where the people drink tons of tea, walk quickly, the punctuality is relative and the nap is sacred. A site where the locals can talk English, Spanish and French and, despite a past of crisis and suffering, face a future of constant challenges.

This is the land where a woman is in the power for first time: August Moine, leader of the Social Justice Party, is in the office since 2008 and, altogether with the Socialists, controls 245 seats out of 338 in the House. A country with its first Queen: Eugenie of Orange-Nassau-Greencastle, rose to the throne in 2014 with 19 years old. And where one of the majors opera houses in the multiverse opens every thursday. Where the Federal Government controls the railways, airways, petroleum and, since 2015, has a monopoly over marijuana distribution.

The centre and south of Fluvique was part of the Spanish Empire since 1535, while the northern provinces were colonized by France. The name "Fluvique" appeared after the first French explorers, who made a mixture between "Fluvo" and "Juillet". After the April Revolution in 1808 the country began an Independence War which finished in 1818 and the Independence was proclaimed in 1821. Days after the new nation divided herself into a Republic and a Confederation, starting a period of several civil wars which ravaged the country until 1869. Eschewing dismemberment, the two main provinces and former rivals, Mevosa and Betham, signed a mutual agreement to invade and intervene all the remaining provinces and unite the country. In 1872, the dutch prince Gabriel of Orange-Nassau became the first King of the unified Fluvique.

From 1880 and until 1929 the country experienced a period of internal peace, consolidation and prosperity thanks to the primary goods exports, gaining the nickname of 'The world's feeder', and promoting the arrival of millions of immigrants, base of the current population. After, the country entered in serious political and social crisis, only fixed at the end of the 30s, when the socialists led by Lyonel Berankis won the elections and kept the power until 1954. During that period, Fluvique changed from a rural-based country to an industrial one.

Fluvique kept the stability until the mid 80s, when the old welfare state started to be critiziced. Charles Wendell, leader of the New Liberal Party, a right wing coalition, was elected Prime Minister in 1984, keeping the charge until 1994. During his term, the old Fluviquean social democracy was dismounted, the imports were opened and the laissez faire was impossed as state policy. The massive sale of public companies and privatization of services helped to end a cronic budget deficit, but caused levels of unemployment and poverty never seen in the country. The crisis exploded in December 2002, when thousands of Fluviqueans went out to streets to protest, burned banks, took the Parliament by assault and provoked the resignation of half of his members. The crisis finished with 25 deads, lootings, thousands wounded and four Prime Ministers in a month.

In 2003, Ernest Bubois, founder and leader of the Social Justice Party, won the elections, promising shut down neoliberalism and corruption. Since then, the Cabinet has drastically lowered the external debt, unemployment, poverty, misery and budget deficit. In 2004 the IMF declared Fluvique in default and the people went out to the streets again to protest against the payment, helping to reach an agreement with the creditors. Between 2005 and 2008 the country grew 40% and many of the privatized companies in the 1980-1990 period, were nationalized.

Fluvique is one of the most liberal countries and where the State is present with social programs like 'Little Fluviqueans', which helps pregnant women and mothers of kids between 1-17 years old, covering food, medicals and educational needs. In 2009 the same-sex marriage was legalized and, since 2010, transsexuals over 18 years can change their sex in the IDs with a simple written declaration. Abortion is legal and free in public hospitals of the country, along with assisted fertilization.

However, Fluvique faces many problems: the low birth rates and aging population could eventually be a problem for the public pension system; the huge welfare state is being criticized by center-right sectors and advocates for a mixed model; the external debt problems and lack of private investment, while the structural budget deficit continues growing and the imports are surpassing the exports.

Those are some of the challenges that faces August Moine and a society where, according to surveys, the young are proud to be Fluviqueans, love their families, sidestep religion and believe in independence, creativity, security, tenacity and ambition to be happy in the land of the paysans, meat and football.

Map of Fluvique

Little Box Stadium (55.000), Mevosa, Mevosa Province.

"Founded by Spaniards, designed by French and built by Italians". That could be motto of the capital of Fluvique. Hence, Mevosa is a multicultural centre and the window of Fluvique, mixing sumptuous palaces and long avenues with new buildings and narrow streets, synthesising as any other city the past and future of the country.

With more than 6,500,000 inhabitants, The Paris of Rushmore is a megalopolis with a cultural life which ranks among the best of the multiverse. Her streets, monuments and squares, show to the travelers the story of the country. Is the most visited city of Fluvique, with an endless offer of attractions. The tourist should take a walk or a coffe in the Little Angels boulevard, considered the widest and longest avenue in the multiverse. Near, at north, the huge April Park is an option to enjoy the green lung of the city. At south, the Old Port market offers its fairs of artisans and urban spectacles, while Church Street offers more theatres per square meter than any other city.

King George Stadium (45.000), Greencastle, Greencastle Province

"Welcome to Greencastle FC! Welcome to the city of the good wine!", says the stadium voice every weekend when the local team plays at the King George stadium, to see those men who won the first league of the club in 2013. His voice is covered by the shouts of the fans packed in the stands, cheering for one of the teams who best passes the ball in the First Division.

Football and wine are the passions of the more of 124.000 inhabitants of the city in the banks of the River of the Ducks. The city was founded by the British in the late 1600s and many of the historic buildings in the city centre have Georgian style. Greencastle also has the pride of be the hometown of the Queen Eugenie and their residents are very proud of its teenage monarch, while the royal residence at Flanny Cottage is a major tourist destination. The hinterland is painted by famous vineyards and wineries, being the centre of the local economy.

Little Creek Stadium (50.000), Port Elizabeth, Alkanter Province

Port Elizabeth is considered the most passionate city in the country. Its 510.000 citizens are divided into two clubs: Alkanter Football Club and Alkanter Central, while their economy grows with fishery and automotive industry. "The city centre is a giant Café to enjoy the nightlife", says Charlotte with a smile. The Backstreet of the Legitimists, named after being the place of meetings of Bourbon's supporters to the French throne, is a long lane of coffes, bars and restaurants. The locals enjoy the "food and football" lifestyle.

Also, the city is known for being cradle of the national rock and every bar offers live shows and big festivals are held in the Fluviquean summer break (from December to February). A violent city during 1920s and 1930s, got the nickname of The Chicago of Fluvique. However, over the last decade, Port Elizabeth has become center of the railway industry and one of the engines of the Fluviquean economy since 2004.

The Circle Stadium (50.000), Geneva, Geneva Province

The Genevians are proud of their city, the third most populated with 2.500.000 inhabitants. The weather is not pleasant, on the contrary. The rain abounds, the winters are harsh and the average temperature in summer it's around 17ºC. However, is the most green, with parks of leafy pines and oak-trees. Located in a hill in front of the Fever Mountains, the city is near the Centenary river, which is filled with kayaks in the thaw season.

This is a city of miners and skiers, reconverted in center of tourism of clean energies. Its surroundings are full of wind-mills and was the location of the crucial moments of the Independence War, when in 1816 General Oscar de Saint-Romain entered in Geneva after defeating the Spanish and Portuguese army. The visitor should enjoy a cup of the famous hot chocolate with plaisents in one of the many bars of the city or walk in the centre towards the shops and galleries.

After Schottia's qualification campaign imploded at the halfway stage of World Cup 75, there was really no other option for Jane Gullie than to stand down. After a lengthy period of deliberation the SFA finally put in place the team that they believe will give them a chance of returning to the world stage. Quebecois manager Lionel Mah is one of his nation's most promising coaching prospects, and received critical acclaim for the way he transformed the fortunes of CSKA Quebec, as well as his tactical knowledge. With John Murray leaving alongside Gullie, former Schottia skipper Colin Donaldson comes in as assistant, the 39-year-old's only coaching experience being a brief stint at interim manager at Handon United. Donaldson brings with him a good awareness of the Schottic game, and should be an excellent foil for Lionel Mah. Veteran coach David Chettwell has been with the Schottia team for the best part of ten years, and is well known to the current crop of players - he is one of the few coaches to keep his place after the post WC75 purge. Joining him for the first time are coaches Judy Scott and Conner Watts. Scott, currently at New Island, as previously been a manager at U15 and has already worked with many of the current squad. Watts, who recently left the manager's position at Port Sebastian, also brings a lot of managerial experience to the set-up. Goal keeping coach Peter Acheson remains in place, and Physio Claire Hanson his brought back in after previously being realised by Barry Gorman eight years ago.

Team history
Barry Gorman era
Not so much a tale of ups and downs, Schottia's history in the World Cup competitions has been one of very slow progress. Since Barry Gorman took over a side ranked outside the world's top 300, which had just finished WC68 with a grand total of 0-points, the Auks have seen their fortunes steadily improve. The small nation of six-and-a-half-million gave a very good account of themselves under his stewardship and it was in this era that we saw them first adopt their now familiar 4-2-3-1 formation. Schottia finished sixth of eight in their group as they tried to reach the finals of WC69 in his first year in charge, qualifying for the Cup of Harmony, where they recorded a surprise win over Mizuyuki. The subsequent rise up the world rankings saw them finish third, fourth, third in WC70, 71, and 72 respectively, as they established themselves as one of the world's mid-ranked sides. Schottia put in some plucky performance over the years, and there was little doubt that it was Gorman who had made the difference, seemingly able to dig deep and get something extra out of the country's small pool of players. It was also during this period (immediately prior to WC70) that Schottia won the Di Bradini Cup, and that golden generation of youngsters has slowly began to make their mark on the senior squad.

Despite being the one to galvanise the team, Barry Gorman's position as manager became more and more difficult. After a series of wild promises and statements of overconfidence, he constantly succeeded in building up the fans' expectations, and creating a rod for his own back. In the end it was no doubt this bravado, coupled with a lacklustre qualification campaign in WC72, which saw the SFA decline to offer him a new contract. He did go on to lead the side to the knockout stages of the Cup of Harmony for the first time, however it wasn't enough, and as the side limped out after a heavy defeat to Nova Anglicana, it was to be the 47-year-old's last act in charge.

Jane Gullie era
After their Cup of Harmony exit, Schottia was standing at a bit of a crossroads. Managerless, and despite reaching the knockout stages of a major tournament for the first time, it was abundantly clear that they were a million miles off the pace. From a shortlist of five candidates, Jane Gullie emerged as the most suitable option, and was handed the job over the likes of caretaker Grant Nean, and Schottic DBC hero Jock Sonny. Gullie had made a name for herself after lifting the SPL title with New Belfast Warriors, and was commended for her style of man-management and balanced tactics, which the board thought conducive to the Schottic style of play. It is easy to forget when looking back with rosé tinted glasses, but Gullie's reign was not an overnight success and indeed, she came very close to being sacked only five matches into the World Cup 73 Qualifiers. Results picked up however, the turning point being a win at home to Krytenia - a massive achievement for a nation who traditionally struggle against the top sides. The result seemed to give Schottia a new found confidence, and with the cracks glossed over with a little self belief, they eventually went on to top their group. Further wins over Mertagne, and the completion of the double over Krytenia in the final group game meant that Schottia were able to avoid the play-off lottery and move straight into the World Cup final draw.

In spite of all the excitement surrounding the nation's qualification, there was no hiding the enormity of the task they faced. Drawn in a difficult group consisting of San Jose San Jose Guayabal, Farfadillis, and the Polar Islandstates, Schottia finished in fourth place picking up a single point against Farfadillis.

Schottia then entered the World Cup 74 qualification as second seeds in their group, and while this made for a potentially easier draw - being placed alongside The Holy Empire, Bears Armed, and New Gelderland saw pay to that. After a huge struggle, Schottia eventually came out on top for a second cycle running. In reflection the home and away wins over New Gelderland, were probably pivotal in a group where all the sides dropped points. By this point Gullie was starting to get the players she wanted around her, and this was marked by the emergence of individuals such as Johannas Ünterhausen, Bella Thompson, and Herron Crew, who all made valuable contributions.

The finals themselves were once again a bridge too far for Schottia, and where they seem to have gotten qualification down to a T, the finals are another story all together. This time Schottia were draw alongside Nova Anglicana, Vilita, and the familiar faces of Farfadillis. It was to be the same story as last time however, and with zero wins, Schottia limped out once again at the group stage.

After topping their qualification group the two previous campaigns there was a lot of pressure on Jane Gullie to do the same going into WC75. However, despite a strong start, the Schottians fell by the wayside, with a seemingly inconceivable collapse at the halfway stage, finishing third behind Devonta and Eura.

Squad information
Lionel Mah faces a difficult challenge to get the same set of players who fell so spectacularly flat last time, into a position to challenge Turori and Eshan in Group 5. Schottia's problem has always been in terms of depth of talent, and while they have some top class players, the bench can often be left looking a threadbare. With morale no doubt pretty low, it will be up to the Quebecois manager and his coaching staff to breath some new life into these players, and try to rekindle some belief in their ability as competitors. There must have been some temptation to make wholesale changes, given some of the performances towards the end of qualifying, but with a lack of suitable talent to turn to, Mah has had to do the best he could with what was available. Most notable inclusions in this patch-up-job are defenders Stephen Paul, and Paul Doig, who come in at centre-half and left-back respectively. The manager has correctly identified the defence as a problem, and is desperately trying to tackle issues with the back line. Both players were capped for the first time in the 2-2 friendly draw against Tumbra, with Paul in particular giving a good account of himself. Mah has said his reign will see an end to the chopping and changing in midfield, so with that in mind, the centre pairing of Jenny McDonald and Johannas Ünterhausen will expect to get a fair bit of game time this campaign, with Alf Seggerson dropping to the bench. The other big change comes after the retirement of 38-year-old Lucas D'Araby, with Jeremy McNott taking the legendary keeper's place between the sticks.

Cornellians keeper McNott is joined by Port Sebastian veteran Chris Gonzaö, and the talented Jim Black, who has been very impressive with Lammerton this season. It is likely that all three players will have had their eyes on the recently vacated number one jersey, and Gonzaö in particular will have been disappointed to miss out, having spent a decade as understudy to D'Araby. The gloves of Schottia's record cap winner will be tough to fill, but having played in the Champions' Cup with the Eagles last season, McNott will feel up to the task.

For Lionel Mah, at least the right-back position picks itself with 1860 Azoth's Larry Watt now well and truly cemented in there. The challenge has been in finding a left-back who can provide balance to the defence however, and we all hope he has found that in the form of Paul Doig. There is also a good amount of cover in the wingback areas, with Mallox's Bella Thompson a good attacking option, capable of filling in on either flank. Add to that the uncapped Esther Abner, and Handon United's surprise package James Robertson; and there is definitely room to manoeuvre there. Thompson featured a fair bit two years ago, and both Abner and Robertson had outstanding seasons for their clubs in the SPL. At centre-back we have the prospect of a new pairing to look forward to, with Sporting Cenial's Gareth Souter joined by rising star Stephen Paul. Souter might only be 25, but he has been an important part of the national team for a number of years now, and has over fifty caps for his country. Along side him is Falourr defender Paul who has been putting in some very solid performances in Eura. It will be interesting to see if this new look back four can succeed where their predecessors failed in the past. There is plenty of room to tinker at centre-back if Mah sees fit - with Burton, Ross, Hanlon, and Keates all with bags of experience - but it is unlikely manager will move things around too much.

The midfield has traditionally been where Schottia are strongest, however last time round they failed to really make an impact against the lower ranked sides in the group. It looks like Mah is going to put his faith in Willox Street Pirates captain Jenny McDonald, who was one of the few players to escape criticism on the road to Audioslavia and Krytenia. While there is a risk that her lack of big-league experience could cause issues, McDonald is no doubt a talented ball winner, and someone who can compliment Johannas Ünterhausen. Schottia were accused of relying too heavily on the Real Chinchinhua player last time round, and at 20 years of age, he possibly struggled under the weight of expectation. McDonald's rise to prominence can hopefully take some of the pressure off Ünterhausen's shoulders, and with her doing the fetching and carrying, Schottia's golden boy can have more of a free role. The attack is almost certain to be unchanged from last time round, with the trio of Kim Coultan, Chloe Rudden, and Eoin Killanen all keeping their places in the side. With their combined pace and goal scoring abilities, this is definitely the sharp end of this team. Killanen has become something of a poster boy for national team with his goals at WC73 and 74, but Coutan and Rudden should not be underestimated either, and on their day they can be just as effective. Notable amongst the reserves are; Kennicot, Crillin, Bia, and Seggerson, all of whom have double figures worth of caps to their name. But their are also some interesting first time call ups in the form of Port Sebastian duo, Steven Rexmont and Vera Cummings, who will almost certainly feature at some point in the campaign.

With Schottia playing a lone striker system, the coveted number nine jersey has become a prised possession for whoever gets their hands on it. This year Centralis Heart's rapid forward John McCormack takes the honour, possibly seen as more versatile than Heron Crew, and more experienced than Corinne Martel-Burns. McCormack has been a very popular player back in Schottia, ever since he featured in the Electrumite clubs famous Champions' Cup run a couple of years back. The abovementioned Martel-Burns and Crew are the most likely backups and are both doing well for their respective clubs, with Martel-Burns in particular, on explosive form for St Johns Arsenal. Crew is a slightly different proposition however, and the Cednia Beach targetman can definitely be used to mix things up. Slightly further down the pecking order are Eastern Stars' Višnja Brankovič, and Maximum Rovers' Lucy Curren. Brankovič has been banging the goals in all season in the newly formed I-League, and the National Academy product will be desperate to prove herself at international level, should the opportunity present itself. Curren, on the other hand, already has two caps to her name, and her experience in the Nepharim Premiership should come in useful if called upon.

For the first time in four seasons Schottia have gone with a foreign kit designer, with Meski of Red Blackiland getting the nod. We would like to thank the team for the work they put into these new designs, which see Schottia playing in horizontal stripes for the first time.

Full Qualifying Squad
The players named here are those who will feature in the qualification campaign. Listed first are the most likely starting eleven, so if in doubt assume those players will be starting. However, if you are RPing, please feel free to read through the other players' descriptions and make a few inclusions. - All information accurate to the start of qualifying.

1. GK Jeremy McNott, 28 | Image Cornellians | Height:191cm Weight:79kg
Despite being a first team regular for Cornellians for the best part of a decade, McNott is only now getting his first big chance in a Schottia jersey. With 38-year-old Lucas D'Araby only just announcing his retirement from international football, there has been a long waiting list for the No.1 spot, which the Lotus Park has occupied for sixteen years. McNott is a little untested at international level, but he has Champions' Cup experience with Cornellians, which should stand him in good stead. The 28-year-old is a tall and rangy player, who stands up well in one-on-one situations, and is commanding at corners.

2. RB Larry Watt, 28 | Image 1860 Azoth, | Height: 180cm. Weight: 75kg (c)
Now firmly established as Schottia's first choice right back, Watt has earned great reviews while playing for his country. The former Di Bradini Cup winner started his career at Marionville, where the first team experience he gained helped him win a move to Buyanese side Blau-Weiss Pallstadt. After fighting his way into the first team there, Watt was snapped up by Cenian side 1860 Azoth when the league folded, for a sum of $9 million. Larry Watt is a tall powerful runner, who has a strong emphasis on defence. His reluctance to get forward and support the attack has been criticised on occasion, however he is a solid player, who rarely makes mistakes. Watt is also the team captain.

3. LB Paul Doig, 26 | Image Port Sebastian | Height:180cm Weight:71kg
Doig exploded onto the scene as an 18-year-old, during Port Sebastian league title win eight years ago. Back then his trademark long throw, and spirited forward runs earned him a list of admirers along with a starting berth in Schottia's DBC winning team. Things have gone a little quiet of for him since then, although he has been playing regularly at club level, and was capped for Schottia in a B-International two years ago. Lionel Mah look set to play Doig in the left-back role, seemingly preferring a natural defender to Daren O'Brian who has occupied that position for a number of years. His call up is a real statement of the way the new management team want to do things, with round pegs in round holes - as in the past, previous managers have definitely been guilty of over thinking things.

4. CB Stephen Paul, 24 | Image Falourr | Height:182cm Weight:81kg
Not on the Schottia radar until very recently, there were few people back home who have even heard of Stephen Paul before he signed for Euran side Falourr. If few of us had heard of him, then even few expected him to feature much in one of the world's top leagues. However feature he did, and the player who has always been a Mr Reliable at youth level, seems to have been able to transfer that over to a much higher level of football. It hard to point at one thing Paul excels at: He isn't the tallest defender out there, nor is he the fastest, and he certainly isn't one for full-blooded tackles. Instead he a very solid player, who is technically proficient, and keeps his concentration for the full ninety minutes.

5. CB. Gareth Souter, 25 | Image Sporting Cenial | Height: 189cm. Weight: 79kg
Since making his debut for Handon United aged 18, there has been a feeling that Souter could be a special player. After leaving the club to join up with Cenian side Sporting Cenial, he impressed the Schottic management team with a string of good performances. He helped his club to some impressive league results, even if they have struggled a little more of late. Souter is a strong player, who takes the game very seriously. He has a good footballing ability and is comfortable on the ball, meaning he can play in midfield if called upon.

6. CM Jenny McDonald, 27 | Image Willox Street Pirates Height: 173cm. Weight: 64kg
The aggressive little midfielder has been a big hit with Port Christopher champions Willox Street Pirates. Leaving Handon Ladies for a fee of $150,000 seven years ago, she has since gone on to score in the knock-out stages of the Globe Cup twice, and pick up five league titles with her new club. McDonald is a player who really adds a bit of bite to the midfield and never shies away from a challenge. She is now the captain at her club since the departure of Diego Bandos, and that leadership is something else that she brings to the Schottia set-up. McDonald feature a fair bit during the last campaign, and her work rate and uncompromising style of play make her a good fit in Lionel Mah's new set-up.

8. D/ACM Johannas Ünterhausen, 22 | Image Real Chinchinhua | Height: 186cm. Weight: 77kg
One half of the Ünterhausen twins, Johannas is one of the better known names in this squad. The Real Chinchinhua midfielder probably surprised some fans as he forced his way in to Jane Gullies first team plans at the age of eighteen, eventually starting two of Schottia's group matches at the finals four years ago. Despite that, the 22-year-old was used rather more sparingly over the last cycle, something that Gullie drew a fair amount of criticism for. In terms of footballing ability, he is probably one of the best players in the squad, and his aerial prowess means he will compliment the 173cm McDonald. Moreover, Ünterhausen is a consummate professional, which is something that the new coaching staff seem to value.

11. A/CM FC Kim Coultan, 26 | Image Crawford City | Height:160cm Weight:53kg
From the fringes of a side in the second tier of Schottic football to one of the stars of a team, which finished third in the Buyanese Top League. Coultan's journey from scrawny 17-year-old to full-internationalist has been a rags to riches story. The 26-year-old DBC winner became the first woman to play for the senior team when she was capped in the Cup of Harmony five cycles back, and has since gone on to establish herself in the first team. Small in stature even in terms of the other female players, Coultan relies on speed and agility to out-fox the opposition. Good on either foot, she is best known for her crisp, one touch passing and her goal scoring abilities. Five years ago she completed a $14 million move to Cosumarite club Crawford City, making her one of the most expensive Schottic player ever in terms of transfer fees.

7. LM/F Chloe Rudden, 25 | Image North Laithland | Height:172cm Weight:60kg
The jet-healed winger is one of the nation’s top prospects, picked up her first cap at the age of eighteen, and subsequently featured heavily over the past two cycles. The 25-year-old has previously played in the Women's Super-League, where she had a near 1 to 1 goal to game ratio in her last season with Handon Eagles. Rudden's move to North Laithland has been a big step in her career, but one that she has taken in her stride. As well as helping her side to multiple top-four finishes, she also picked up back to back young player of a year awards in one of the world's top leagues. Rudden is now one of the first names on the Schottia team sheet, and she has been a big factor in her nation's two World Cup qualifications.

10. AMRLC Eoin Killanen, 29 | Image Mâ Âlâmëómë | Height:176cm Weight:71kg
Possibly the only true world-class player in this squad, there is no hiding just how important Killanen is to Schottia's chances of qualification. The Mâ Âlâmëómë attacker is second to none in the team in terms of his ability to hit the ball and he is a real danger from anywhere around the 18-yard-box. The man who captained Schottia's DBC winning side, has scored an incredible seven goals in six World Cup finals matches, and has contributed far more besides. Killanen joined up with his current club in Farfadillis few seasons ago, after a successful stint at Kingsgrove in Brenecia, where he was named A-League player of the year. With Schottia relying so heavily on him for goals, Killanen's volatile temperament and bad attitude can give his managers headaches.

9. FR/C John McCormack, 25 | Image Centralis Heart | Height:186cm Weight:79kg
This no nonsense attacker has been putting in some strong performances in the Terranean-League, particularly in helping Electrumite club Centralis Heart to Champions' Cup semi finals a few years back. The former Lammerton striker came to prominence after Schottia's run to the semi-finals of DBC-35, where his goals scoring ability started to catch the eye of few foreign clubs. Renowned for his pace and directness, there have been several heavy hints dropped that he will be selected to lead the line this cycle. McCormack started his career as a wing forward, although he has long since been switched to a more central role.

Substitutes & Reserves
The rest of the players are listed in a depth-chart system. The players in their respective positions most likely to make an appearance are those with the lower squad numbers.

12. GK Chris Gonzaö, 31 | Image Port Sebastian | Height:202cm Weight:85kg
For a player who has been in the squad as long as Chris Gonzaö, it must be frustrating for him that he has not featured more. While he may have to settle for a place on the bench a while longer, that shouldn't be considered an indicator of his general ability. The double SPL title winner with Port Sebastian has been a mainstay of that team for a number of seasons, and he is a very consistent performer. Gonzaö is a very good all-rounder, and he will be an extremely able back up if called upon.

33. GK Jim Black, 26 | Image Lammerton | Height:184cm Weight:75kg
Might have considered himself a little unlucky not to have been pushed forward for the No.1 spot, Black has been one of the outstanding keepers in the SPL for many years now. He moved from New Belfast Blues to Lammerton a couple of seasons back, for the purpose of increasing his NT prospects, and to some extent that has worked. However it seems likely that Lionel Mah will go with more experienced McNott, who has played in the Champions' Cup.

14. R/LB Bella Thompson, 25 Image Mallox | Height: 175cm. Weight: 64kg
Thompson is a quick, feisty, wingback, who lunges into challenges, and is quick to pick herself up after a scuffle. The athletic, ex-Handon Ladies star built up her reputation after signing for Cosumarite side Nomad Brotherhood during their ill-fated top-flight adventure. After spending a number of seasons with the club, earning her first Schottia cap in the process, she was snapped up by Harlighet Ligan side Mallox, where she has now proven herself at a much higher level helping them push for the Globe Cup spots.

25. RB Esther Abner, 24 | Image Port Sebastian | Height:170cm Weight:63kg
The fourth of Port Patrick United's "Gang-of-four" to receive a call up to the national team. Now playing at Port Sebastian, Abner was one of the players pivotal to her former side's promotion five seasons ago. A dependable right-back, solid in defence, but with an emphasis on attack, the 24-year-old is definitely good enough to feature on the road to Ceni and Electrum. Despite her obvious talent, Abner's career has always been side railed a little by her good looks, which have often been afforded more spotlight than her on-field exploits.

32. LB James Robertson, 22 | Image Handon United, | Height: 175cm. Weight: 69kg
One of the big surprises in the pool of players for the WC-Q's Robertson shot from virtual unknown to Handon United first teamer in last two months of the SPL season. The 22-year-old has represented his country at various youth levels, albeit sparingly, so the call up is not entirely off the radar. He impressed greatly in the final run in with some well-timed forward runs, and accurate crossing.

16. CB/RB. Scott Burton, 28 | Image Cornellians Height:179cm Weight:70kg
Slighter in build than the rest of Schottia's current crop of centre backs, the Cornellians defender will still hope to feature a fair bit over the course of qualification. Burton has been in a long tussle with the likes of Hanlon, Souter, and Ross for a starting berth in this side, and despite being a very talented defender, it has been a slow process, gaining his six international caps. Burton was part of the now infamous golden generation of Schottic football, with the DBC winning kids now populating a great number of the places in this current squad.

17. CB Darren Hanlon, 29 | Image Eikborg Club | Height:188cm Weight:84kg
Hanlon is another player who has been on the move recently, joining up with Semarlandic side Eikborg Club, after making the move from R49 side FC Matovallanen. The player, who started his career with Kings Park, captained Schottia in the IX Olympics and has represented his country at all levels. Hanlon is a very professional individual, who has a great technical ability, and top class positioning. He is very experienced at international level, but the emergence of Stephen Paul and Gareth Souter, might mean he is forced to settle for a place on the bench.

24. CB/DM. Ben Ross, 26 | Image FC Soessch | Height:188cm Weight:81kg
Ross has long been touted as one of the best young players to come out of the Schottic Youth Academy System. Having captained his country at under-15 and 21 levels, he is a composed and highly professional leader on the pitch. Now at FC Soessch, Ross has perhaps taken something of a step backwards, after a move abroad turned sour. He will be hoping to take his time and rebuild his reputation, before getting his career back on track. Going into this tournament, there is no doubt that he has slipped down a little in the pecking order, and he is going to need to be patient if he is going to add to his caps this tournament.

31. CB Davy Keates, 29 | Image Port Patrick United | Height:193cm Weight:88kg
Since being released by Handon United nine years ago, Davy Keates has worked his way back up the hard way. A towering, powerfully built player, he has worked hard to shake his reputation for being a bit of a carthorse, developing the more subtle side of his game. Keates was an unused substitute as Schottia lifted the DBC-33 title, and has been instrumental in Port Patrick's rise up the Schottic leagues. The player didn't feature a great deal on the failed journey to Audioslavia and Krytenia, but a new manager might just present the opportunity for him to fight his way into the first team.

18. LM Cerys Kennicot, 27 | Image Centralis Heart | Height:169cm Weight: 60kg
Kennicot was utterly outstanding in her four years with Port Patrick in the top flight, and was easily one of the best crossers of a ball in the SPL. Now with Centralis Heart, they had a disappointing season in Champions' Cup last year despite a strong league finish, and Kennicot will be desperate to help them back to the big time. More technical than physical, she has the skills to ghost past players, before unleashing her trademark left peg. She is probably behind Rudden in this current squad, and will be competing with Rexmont for the first back-up role on the left flank.

20. R/LM Steven Rexmont, 20 | Image Port Sebastian | Height:180cm Weight: 67kg
Rexmont has taken the SPL by storm over the past two seasons, first helping Dundee to their best league finish in 30 years, then staring with Port Sebastian following a $6m move to the Handon club. The rapid left-winger can probably even match Rudden for pace, but he also has size and strength to go with it. His manager Jock Sonny has already tipped Rexmont to go on and be a big star for Schottia one day, and he will no doubt get his chance over the course of this campaign.

23. AMR Jonathan Bia, 24 | Image Port Sebastian | Height:170cm Weight:72kg
In the seven years since Bia became at the time Schottia youngest ever full-internationalist, there has been a series of highs and lows. Once touted as the next Gaston Avelione, the Dahamy born winger has often struggled to live up to his billing. That said, he was a crucial part of the Port Sebastian side, which won the SPL title four years ago and at 24, he still has loads of time to learn. Bia has great pace, and scores a fair few goals for a wide man. Despite being left footed he plays almost exclusively on the right, and is more of a player who enjoys cutting in as opposed to looking for a cross.

26.RM Craig O'Maramy, 28 | Image New Belfast Warriors | Height:177cm Weight: 62kg
O'Maramy is easily one of the best wide men in the Schottic league, and has been for the best part of a decade. A stand out player during his nation's march to lifting Di Bradini Cup, he has also featured for the senior side, scoring goals in the process. He was back in the squad two years ago, after being left out of WC74 as his fortunes have improved along with those of his club. O'Maramy has a pace and a directness which can cause defences a lot of problems, and he is probably the best natural right-winger in the current squad. It will be very interesting to see exactly how much Lionel Mah chooses to utilise him.

15. CM Alfred Seggerson, 31 | Image Handon United | Height:181cm Weight:79kg
Seggerson joined current club Handon United aged sixteen from Kloithian club Amothsborg Fishermen for a fee of £250,000. Since then he has grown into one of their most important first team players, making his debut two years later. His nation of birth, Kloith, has since undergone a brutal revolution and his passport was declared not valid. Seggerson has now been granted Schottic citizenship winning his first cap over eight years ago now. Seggerson is a quick and agile midfielder, with over 400 appearances in the Schottic Premier League. The Handon United captain is a solid playmaker who can chip in a few goals from the midfield.

19. CM Thio Crillin, 29 | Image Olympic Nassau Bay | Height: 188cm. Weight: 88kg
Although Crillin has generally been employed in the holding role for the national team, the big midfielder is a versatile player who is capable of contributing to the attack. A key part of the golden generation who lifted the DBC, Crillin has gone on to have great success for both club and country. Starting his career at Hollin, he made a name for himself at the small Belker club before getting his big chance with Myrmidon in Ceni. After many successful seasons there, he recently moved on to Olympic Nassau Bay in New Gelderland where he was a big part of their Globe Cup push. Crillin is a large, powerful player, who brings some steel to the midfield and he will feature a great deal over the qualification campaign.

22. CM Gary Corsie, 29 | Image Chatswood | Height:190cm Weight:80kg
On a good day Corsie is a box-to-box midfielder who combines stamina and graft, with subtlety, composure, and a keen eye for goal. On a bad day he is disinterested, lazy and a bomb scare in possession. Which Gary Corsie it is that turns up can be anyone’s guess. This inconsistency has meant periods out of the starting line-up for the big midfielder, however, for those mangers able to get the best out of him, he has been a powerful asset. Corsie has been in and out of the squad for a number of years now, as alleged health problems continue to dog the middle stages of his career. The propensity for trouble to seemingly following the 29-year-old wherever her goes, can make him a liability.

27. CM Vera Cummings, 24 | Image Port Sebastian | Height:177cm Weight: 63kg
Cummings, along with Rexmont, was part of the successful Dundee team from two years ago, and like her teammate she was brought to Port Sebastian when their manager Jock Sonny made the switch. Cummings has been commended as a fantastic all round midfielder and someone who can definitely go on to play at a higher level. It is unlikely that Mah and Donaldson will throw her in at the deep end, given that she has never been capped at any level, but expect her to play a big part as the campaign progresses. Cummings has been touted as the next Gary Corsie in the media, lets hope that only refers to his on-field attributes.

29. CM Erin Braden, 26 | Image Kings Park | Height:180cm Weight: 67kg
Braden has been a stalwart in the centre of the midfield for her club for the last five seasons, winning rave reviews for her performances. Having joined Kings Park from WSL side the West Belker Picts, it has been a steep learning curve for the player, but one she has taken in her stride. Braden, who has been capped at under-21 level, is a solid all-round player, and is strong in defence when it is backs to the wall - but she also has the ability to move the ball forward and create goals. The 26-year-old has two caps to her name under Jane Gullie, and will be an important back up player during these championships.

34. DM/LM Holly Addison, 27 | Image New Belfast Warriors | Height:174cm Weight:66kg
Addison arrived in Schottia with her boyfriend and young family four years ago following Shalumite aggression in her homeland of Arcadia. After lengthy attempts to get her into the Schottia set-up Jane Gullie was finally successful, and she feature sparingly during the last two World Cup campaigns. Now at The Warriors, she has made the impact most were expecting, providing real drive and quality in the midfield. With her ability to play either as a deep sitting midfielder or a left sided player she gives the manager important options.

13. FC Corinne Martel-Burns, 18 | Image St Johns Arsenal | Height:173cm Weight:65kg
In terms of technique and innate goal scoring ability, CMB is probably already the best striker in the squad - if she only had the temperament and discipline to go with it. In her short career the half Quebecois striker has courted controversy at every turn, having originally made the headlines after being kicked out of the Handon United youth academy. After rebuilding her career at small Schottic side Kirk Preston, CMB went on to make a name for herself with her performances as she and her side lifted the U15WC on home soil. Now playing with St Johns Arsenal in the newly reformed Q-League, she already has plenty of league and UICA experience at a young age.

21. FC Heron Crew, 27 | Image Cednia Beach AFC | Height:186cm Weight: 76kg
Crew came out of nowhere to score 22 goals with newly promoted Port Patrick four years ago, helping his side to sixth in the league. Like so many talented young Schottians, his goal scoring exploits meant he swiftly headed to the exit door, earning a $5,000,000 move to Turori side Cednia Beach. The move has been a big success for the 27-year-old, who has subsequently gone on to be named the club's player of the year, picking up 17 Schottia caps in the process. Crew is tall, powerful, very straight forward style of player. What he does do, he does very well, and his physical presence gives defenders a lot to think about even when he is off the ball.

28. FC Lucy Curren, 25 | Image Maximum Rovers | Height:177cm Weight:63kg
Hard work and patience were the key to Lucy Curren's first senior squad call up. The 25-year-old is never going to be a world beater, however, a great work ethic and consummate professionalism have seen her earn caps at all international levels, as well as a starting berth in the Nepharim Premiership with Maximum Rovers. It is clear from her performances that the 25-year-old has been working on her pace, as that now seems to be another string she has added to her bow. After winning her first cap two years ago, Curren proved that she could be an effective option when called upon.

30. FC Višnja Brankovič, 25 | Image Eastern Stars | Height:177cm Weight: 60kg
The Schottic Regional Development graduate has made a big splash since signing for Cenian side Lake Cenial Chimeras, with an incredible 87 goals in three season, easily making her one of Schottia's most prolific goal scorers. Since the CeniLeague's merger at the start of the season, she has since moved to Isle of Avon side Eastern Stars, where she seems to be making an impact. Brankovic, who is of Syaran parentage, has an undergraduate law degree, and is currently studying a masters degree part-time.

Harbour Hill Stadium
Location: Handon, South Schottia
Capacity: 55,000. Including some safe standing sections.

Schottia is a small, peaceful nation, best know for its progressive social policy and whisky distilleries. The country is located in the region of Tyran off the west coast of the Northern continent, and has a diverse population of 6.6 million. Schottia has a temperate maritime climate, with warm wet summers and mild winters. The nation gained its independence in 1866 and has been self governing ever since.

Handon is the capital of Schottia and home to around 1.1 million people. The predominant language spoken around the city is English or Scots, but most of the population are also fluent in German and French. The city itself is located on the ester most tip of South Schottia, the largest of the five islands which make up the Free Colony. Harbour Hill is situated in the centre of the city near the quayside area, and is easily accessible by bus or tram; the latter being the most common way to get around the city.

The architecture of Handon is largely mixed, with some buildings dating back to the 17th century, contrasted with more modern 20th and 21st century structures. Harbour Hill was recently revamped adding a closing roof and safe standing features. The stadium, in some form or another, has been the site of Schottic home games since 1903 and has witnessed some of the great matches in the region's history.

Handon has a huge range of hotels and apartments for anyone staying in the city, however locations near the stadium tend to fill up quickly around match days. There is also plenty to do in the evenings after the games, with Schottia's legendary pub-culture always a draw, not to mention a list of top restaurants serving food from all over the region.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM

Ranulph Bustamante was quite successful in his first year as manager of Abanhfleft, guiding the men's team to their second World Cup appearance, and his win against Nephara in the final matchday of the group stage of World Cup 75 confused people enough to make them think that Abanhfleft could have qualified, but alas, they didn't. But that doesn't matter, because he managed to guide the men to the World Cup despite a rocky qualification. Now it's in Holly Jonasson's hands to ensure that the women of Abanhfleft can emulate their male counterparts once again with a new-look team that's ready to take the world by storm. Or will they? Let's find out....

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation: Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft
Demonym: Fleftic
Team colors: Blue, orange, and green
Style modifier: +3.5
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Manager: Holly Jonasson (42 y/o, Anglatia)

STARTERS
GK: Victoria CARTER 34 y/o, Xemlice Rovers Ladies Image (#1)
Vicky is the ever-dependable skipper of the Lady Revolutionaries, or at least she used to be before Holly Jonasson decided to give the captain's armband to Chelsea Stuart. She is genuinely proving herself to being a world-class keeper, and her saves during World Cup 72 qualifying almost allowed Abanhfleft to advance to the World Cup proper that year, and only a slump of form in the second half of the qualifiers prevented the team from achieving that goal. She does tend to have a temper which is bound to flare up if she or the whole team is frustrated, as evidenced by her slap at the Sameban captain during said qualifiers. Overall, though, while she may not be the most acrobatic or sensational of keepers to watch, the fact that she is still between the sticks for Abanhfleft means that she's got quality. World-class quality, even.

RB: Amanda WARREN 28 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image (#14)
Amanda is definitely one of the surprise packages of the women's national team's first foray in the World Cup qualifiers as a team. Although this wouldn't come as a surprise for followers of Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies, who know of Godric Wexler's ability to produce world-class players from his team's youth academies. Although obviously she's not yet as world class as Gooners would like people to believe, the potential is there, and regular minutes for both club and country will only help to develop her talent. She finally starts for Abanhfleft after Holly Jonasson's project to create a "new-look" women's team.

RCB: Miriam HANNIBAL 30 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Women Image (#15)
Don't let her surname fool you. While she may have the tenacity and patience of a serial killer when it comes to defending, making tackles and chasing loose balls, personally she's a relatable woman who is fun to hang around with, although only her friends are supposed to know that. She's the kind of player that opposing fans love to hate, and Fleftic football fans love it that opposing fans love to hate her. Miriam can play on all sides of the defense, but she prefers the center back position, which she plays to great effect at Marinos Thimpodopoulos Women.

LCB: Claudine SAMANIEGO 32 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image (#18)
Who knew that Raisa Korovina's retirement from international football would lead to massive changes within the Fleftic women's national football team? Korovina's retirement finally allows Holly Jonasson to implement a four-man (or should that be four-woman?) defensive line for the Lady Revolutionaries, and she has picked Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies' Claudine Samaniego to fill in for that second center back spot. Claudine is the perfect complement to the attack-minded Miriam Hannibal, staying behind and patrolling the field as the last line of defense in case of counter-attacks. Claudine is also useful when it comes to set pieces, poking home the occasional goal from a free kick or a corner when she feels like it, which admittedly isn't a lot of the time, but it's still good to know that she can contribute when need be.

LB: Tonya HEATON 32 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Women Image (#16)
Tonya is a proper left back who could probably get into the starting eleven of any other team out there, and probably even this team, if only the likes of Claire Osgood and/or Dana Valentine were not available or injured or weren't actually playing football at all. Also, she's one of the few truly ambidextrous football players in the country, which is why she could play in either full back position if something should ever happen to the likes of Dana and Claire and maybe even Amanda. Now she is indeed starting for Abanhfleft after Holly Jonasson's decision to create a new-look team with four at the back.

RM: Bella MAYNARD 33 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image (#5)
Bella was one of the surprise players for Abanhfleft in the World Cup 72 qualifiers, revealing herself to be much more than just a box-to-box midfielder. Turns out that she actually has a wicked good free kick and long range shot, and is also a good poacher of both goals and set pieces, especially when she is in the box during goal scrambles. There are often times, though, that she is the last line of defense before the actual defenders themselves, and when she's not too heavily involved in the attack during these times, count on her to make a critical tackle to stop the opponents' momentum and halt their attack on its tracks. Still, she can be caught unawares, especially by a very good and very quick counterattacking side.

LM: Lea CHOI 26 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image (#6)
A good showing from Lea in Abanhfleft's first ever Di Bradini campaign left a good impression on Kasper Molak, and he immediately promoted her to the senior team in place of Tamika Keenings, who retired from international football soon after the conclusion of DBC 31. The half-Korean midfielder is one of the taller players on the starting eleven in comparison to the likes of Bella Maynard and Jordana Valentine. She is definitely the one with the most stamina, as her distance-covered graphics in many league, cup and national games shows how much energy she has in her lithe body. Also, she's scored a disproportionate amount of headers and volleys for someone who's supposed to be patrolling the pitch in front of the defense. After some time playing for Ladies' Third Division side Tefel Ladies, she was picked up by Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies for NS$10.5m.

RW: Lillian PRESCOTT 29 y/o, Riuwiee United Women Image (#7)
Lilly is the stronger half of Abanhfleft's main winger pairing, complimenting and contrasting Addie Singh's pace with her rock-solid presence. Her hold-up play and ball control skills have made her an indispensable part of all the teams that she's played for in her career, from Riuwiee State University to Admiral Porcusces Ladies to her new club Riuwiee United Women, who signed her from the Admirals for NS$9.6m as part of the club's new initiative to emulate the men's team in terms of success on the pitch. It was obvious that the decision to make her a first-team player for the national team was a no-brainer, although she did struggle to find her rhythm until her old teammates from Riuwiee State also received international call-ups, especially her wing partner Addie. With the two of them on the wings, Abanhfleft has attacking danger everywhere on the pitch.

LW: Adelaide SINGH 29 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image (#8)
Addie is the pacier half of Abanhfleft's main winger pairing, and one might remember that she was already a member of Riuwiee State University's track and field program as a sprinter before joining her friends in the university's football team. A wise choice, both for her and for Riuwiee State, it turned out, as she was instrumental to leading the university to their first (and to date only) Riuwiee Provincial Football Association Challenge Cup. She was signed by Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies as soon as she graduated and went pro, and her background as a sprinter made her one of the fastest players of the team, if not the Ladies' Premier League itself. She also has good crossing ability, and she has the confidence and finishing to go one-on-one on the keeper if need be.

CAM: Allison TORRES 29 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Ladies Image (#10)
Sonny started off as a central attacking midfielder during her Riuwiee State University days, but her tendency to go forward and mingle with the dedicated forwards has seen her develop into a false nine under Xemlice Rovers' old gaffer George Westing. Her ball distribution skills, also developed under the same manager, have allowed her to become both an attacking threat up front and a vital link-up cog in the middle. Last year, she was snapped up by Sporting Ceneisis Ladies for NS$50m, making her the most expensive female Fleftic football player ever. However, as with many other big money signings by Ceneisis, it took her nearly half a season before she managed to establish a good tandem with her striker partner and fellow new signing by Ceneisis, Svenja Volksson of Armeia. For the national team, Sonny is a credible goalscoring threat, and her forward forays have allowed her to score her fair share of goals.

CF: Chelsea STUART 29 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image (#9), captain
Chelsea has become the face of both Arsenal Ladies and the Fleftic women's football team. Once she scored that hat-trick against Riuwiee United's U-21s that paved the way for Riuwiee State University's comeback victory and their first and only Riuwiee Provincial FA Cup, the goalscoring floodgates have opened up for her for both club and country. She has already gone five seasons scoring twenty goals or more in the Ladies' Premier League, winning the Golden Boot in three of those five seasons. Her hold-up play is simply world-class, and she can score from anywhere on the field, sometimes at will. Her only weakness is that she's a little timid when it comes to going forward, and that she is easily frustrated if she doesn't score from an easy chance. She's the new captain of the side as part of Holly Jonasson's new-look team project.

RESERVES
GK: Yannie REDBORNE 34 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image (#13)
Some would say that Yannie's time between the sticks for the Democratic Republic had been a long time coming. But with Vicky Carter just about starting the reach the peak of her career, it did seem like a long shot for Yannie to be getting some playing time for Abanhfleft. But with Kasper Molak's regular goalie deputies Stephanie Bryan still out from a hyper-extended elbow and Yelena Valinovskaya trying to pick up match fitness after a hamstring pull, Yannie will finally get to warm the bench in an international competition for the national team. And for those few questioning her inclusion into the World Cup squad, surely her being the number one for Rosenpfelblatz Ladies counts for something, right?

GK: Yelena VALINOVSKAYA 30 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image (#23)
Yelena is the tallest keeper and the player on the national team, full stop. She sat out the majority of last season after going under the knife for a horror training camp injury. She finally returned to playing international football by playing in a friendly against Pridnestrovia, but ended up pulling her hamstring in the same game, sidelining her once again. Yelena is still on the road to recovery once again, but seeing as Molak trusts her between the sticks more than any other available female Fleftic keeper, she still has a spot in the final roster, but she will be spending the time watching the game from the sidelines.

RB: Claire OSGOOD 30 y/o, Blue Coast 1981 Image (Port Christopher) (#2)
Claire is one of the few Fleftic players playing in a foreign league that is not the Pridnestrovian Super League, the Oontaz National League or the Copper Cuprum First Division, and she is also the first Fleftic to move to another team that is not playing within Abanhfleft's sphere of influence. Like Dana Valentine on the other side of the pitch, Claire appears tireless as she runs all over the field, covering the flanks and sometimes even acting as a wingback if the situation demands. She has a mean long shot and also sometimes can act as a poacher for set pieces such as corners. She was sold by Sarvusdalamoive Ladies to Blue Coast 1981 in Port Christopher for a club record fee of NS$22m.

CB: Dawn JACKSON 30 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image (#4)
A single center back is rare to find in international football these days, and the fact that Dawn is able to do it day in and day out for both the national team and Markovsky Ladies is a testament to her skills. Few will begrudge her her moments for both club and country, and sometimes, when the going gets tough, she can be the last line of defense at one end and a scoring threat at the other just seconds later. If she's the last player between the opposition and the keeper, she will not hesitate to tackle. It's put a lot of yellow cards and a few red cards on her career, but who can blame the daughter of the legendary defender MacArthur "Mac" Jackson for inheriting his defensive style?

LB: Jordana VALENTINE 29 y/o, Xemlice Rovers Ladies Image (#3)
Abanhfleft's women's football team managed to nearly qualify for the World Cup with only three defenders, and the fact that these three defenders are able to cover the large amount of space between and around them has made said defense world-renowned. Dana has a powerful engine to accompany her unusually long strides, and her measured yet high-tempo runs allow her to cover said large spaces even for her small stature, and is excellent at both attacking and defending set pieces. However, she is a confidence player, meaning a few bad games and her form could dip below the standard, as became noticeable in Abanhfleft's last few games in World Cup 72 qualifiers following her scoring an own goal for New Wolfopolis.

CM: Merida VANCE 25 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image (#17)
At just the tender age of 23, Merida has turned herself from a lanky and clumsy girl straight out of the academy with a future as a lower-league player into a vital piece of Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies' midfield puzzle, helping the Lady Foresters to both the Ladies' Premier League title and the Women's SFA Cup in the 2014-15 season. Now, two years later, she's still vital to the team then as she is now, and she will serve as a capable backup for her teammate Bella Maynard for both the Emperor's Cup, World Cup qualifiers, and if they make it, the World Cup itself.

RW: Rachel AZUL 28 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image (#19)
It's not the Fleftic women's team if it doesn't have two of the most important things in the Fleftic footballing philosophy: wingers and strikers. The starting winger pairing of Addie Singh and Lilly Prescott are backed up by the winger pairing of Rachel Azul and Cecilia Johnson. Rachel is the taller and stronger half of their pairing, and while she's not as fast as Addie and her hold-up play isn't as good as Lilly's, she's still good for peppering the box with crosses for other players to head or volley into the net to close out games, and her height also makes her a threat on the set piece. Even at 26, there's still a lot of potential on tap for her, as evidenced by her move to Arsenal from the Antslinngs Islands alongside CeCe for the princely sum of NS$20m.

LW: Cecilia JOHNSON 28 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image (#20)
Looking at Rachel and CeCe, it's obvious to anyone who does what when they're starting. What she doesn't have in terms of height and strength, CeCe more than makes up for it with her speed, pace and wicked curving kick that, when the wind blows the right way, could result in a goal from literally nowhere. Her long legs have earned her the nickname "Giraffe Girl" even though she's not the tallest player from the Antslinngs Academy of Football or even on the national team, and it's those legs that allow her to cover so much ground in so little time. She is also the greater goalscoring threat from open play, cutting into the box and firing off shots at the net, sometimes to the point of ignoring teammates in better and more viable positions. But she can, and has done so from time to time, made the telling pass that leads to a goal.

CAM/CF: Regina MESBROS 33 y/o, Riuwiee United Women Image (#12)
"Good enough for a squad role, not good enough to start." That seems to be the general consensus about Reggie Mesbros right now. She had such a bright career ahead of her, in the days of women's football in Abanhfleft when the Mythical Five of Riuwiee State University were still in high school and had other interests. She was supposed to be the future of women's football. Instead, on the day before it was said that she was to finally receive a call-up for the national team, she got injured in a league game between Riuwiee United and West Releinthi. She never really recovered her earlier luster after that injury. The talent's still there, there's no denying that; but Reggie doesn't feel the need to show it as much as she used to anymore. And with the rise of the Mythical Five, it was inevitable that even though she may be a part of the national team, she was now only good enough for the substitutes. But she can still provide from the bench that levelheadedness that can see the squad through some tough periods in games.

CF: Alexandra ROUSSEAU 29 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image (#11)
The height difference between Alex and Chelsea Stuart may be small (just about half an inch or so) but it's enough to make her into the smaller and speedier half of Abanhfleft's forward pairing, even though she's about a few pounds heavier than Chelsea (but don't tell her that). She doesn't accelerate as quickly as other "pacy" forwards, but once she gets going, she goes, and fast. Addie Singh and Lea Choi may be the only ones who could claim to be faster than Alex when she's at full speed, but sometimes a turtle can seem faster when she's "revving up". She can play as lone striker if need be, and indeed played that role for Rosenpfelblatz before the emergence of Karen Villegas, but she truly works best with a strike partner, especially a ridiculously strong (for her build) and physical hold-up expert like Chelsea. Following her revelation that she has been diagnosed with lupus, Alex has been forced onto the Lady Revolutionaries' bench so that she doesn't end up dying on Holly Jonasson's watch.

FW: Karen VILLEGAS 25 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies Image (#21)
It's very rare for someone as short as Karen to be a football player, let alone a striker. But against all odds, not only did she become a good football player, she's also become one of the best players of her generation. Karen was a prodigy even at a very young age, but she nearly ended up not playing football twice: first, when she was shot in the neck (not fatally, thankfully) during the Holy Catholic Revolution of 2008, and second, when the expected growth spurt upon hitting puberty never actually happened. But after seeing the likes of Sonny Torres, Chelsea Stuart and Alex Rousseau succeed at the top flight of women's football in Abanhfleft, she trialled for Rosenpfelblatz City Ladies and was admitted into their academy. Eight years later, Karen is now an international player and Rousseau's striker partner at Rosenpfelblatz.

FW: Zsofia DOLAN 24 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image (#22)
Abanhfleft in general, and the city of Markovsky in particular, has always been a melting pot of various cultures, faiths and beliefs, and Sofie is the embodiment of that multicultural spirit. Born and raised in the majority-Russian city of Markovsky to a mixed Hungarian and Irish family, Sofie inherited the hardworking spirit of the two peoples from which she descended, and when many others would have given up and quit, Sofie continued working her way up the ranks of Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies, and she broke through to the first team just in time for the Lady Foresters to achieve the Ladies' Premier League and Women's SFA Cup double. She moved to Lionesses in Armeia as part of the club's rebuilding process, after a plane crash killed most of the players of the old team, and her performances and general hard work have earned her a starting spot in the club.

STADIUMS
All football stadiums in Abanhfleft now have seats following a mandatory upgrade in 2000, but despite this ruling, many, if not all, stadiums still allow standing spectators during matches. However, in anticipation for World Cup qualifying matches, more security forces had been hired by the authorities to make sure that there are no standing spectators in such games.

NOTE: Matches will be played in the stadiums by order of enumeration, i.e. Saintland in May 26, Witty Penguins in IKEA Arena and so on.

Short history: The May 26 Stadium, originally known as Raschner Lane, and later on as Riuwiee National Stadium, was built in 1886 as a cricket ground, and it served as home for two semi-pro cricket teams before it was bought by the Riuwiee Capitals football team, which will later on become Riuwiee United. After the conclusion of the Catholic Revolution of 2008, the national government bought the controlling share of Riuwiee National Stadium and renamed it the May 26 Revolution Memorial Stadium, in commemoration of the May 26 Revolution that eventually established the nation of Abanhfleft. Riuwiee United still play in the May 26 Stadium, but now it is also the chosen stadium for home games by the Fleftic national football team.

Even then, it was only after Monsanto agreed to shoulder the cost of the new stadium that it was even built, and because of this, the stadium was named Monsanto Stadium. Arsenal de Releinthi and Monsanto entered into a seven-year contract extension this year, potentially extending Monsanto's sponsorship of the club up to 2021.

THE COLONY OF THE FHULGHAMOUS PENINSULA
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM

The Colony of the Fhulghamous Peninsula (Full-Gah-Moose) was first established on 6 December 2008, when Fleftic explorers landed on what was then a previously undiscovered continent. These explorers landed on a large peninsula that they named Fhulghamous because of its rich and lush green forests. One of the explorers then fell into an old mine shaft while exploring the peninsula and discovered that the entire peninsula was lying on top of one of the biggest diamond deposits ever discovered by mankind. Once the explorers announced their discovery to the Fleftic government, the Democratic Republic Army Corps of Engineers was quickly dispatched to help speed up the establishment of the colony by helping in constructing settlements and assisting in constructing mining facilities to extract the diamonds within the land.

The Colony of the Fhulghamous Peninsula was officially established as a colony of the Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft on 6 September 2010 following the signing of Democratic Republic Act No. 2340. The colony's capital would be Port Thimpodopoulos, named after Sergeant Major Pythagoras Thimpodopoulos of the Army Corps of Engineers, who tragically died of a heart attack during the construction of the settlement that would eventually bear his name. Today, Port Thimpodopoulos has a population of ten million, accounting for just under half of the total population of the colony. Other cities in the colony were Besanza, Tadoki, Haritzaga City and Thereisnogodabad, home of Multiverse Premier League club Thereisnogodistan FC.

The colony is under the leadership of Governor-General Petrarchos Kulbano, brother of Minister of Colonial Affairs Demetrios Kulbano. His rule saw the Fhulghamous Peninsula's ascent to being one of the most economically-productive colonies of the Democratic Republic, but due to the colony's distance from the mainland Governor Kulbano is slowly beginning to treat the colony as his own personal fiefdom. This was one of the reasons why he had decided to send forth a petition to send a national team to the Di Bradini Cup, the Multiverse's top under-21 football competition. Unfortunately due to some last-minute troubles, the Fhulghamous Peninsula's team was not allowed entry into the Di Bradini Cup, leaving many people in the colony a bit unfulfilled. But when another chance to send forth a national team revealed itself, Governor Kulbano was quick to submit his team's entry, and this time he made sure that the wouldn't miss out on another chance at participating in an international competition.

The current team is mostly composed of players 21 years old or younger since Governor Kulbano originally envisioned this team participating in the Di Bradini Cup. Any players older than 21 were supposed to be coaching staff for the attempt at the U-21 Cup, but circumstances had forced to suiting up for their colony for this tournament. Nevertheless, everyone believes they've got what it takes to win it all. Also, following the relative success of the team in the Runner Cup and the Campionato Esportiva, a local league system has now been established in the colony, even as their two most successful teams (Marinos Thimpodopoulos and Thereisnogodistan FC) are now part of the Fleftic league system.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of Nation: The Colony of the Fhulghamous Peninsula
Demonym: Fhulghamousian, Colonist
Team colors: Green and gray
Style modifier: +4.00 (Yet another very attacking side)
Manager: Orestes Katsouranis Jr. (51 y/o, Fhulghamous Peninsula)
Assistant manager: Paulus Wolf (49 y/o, Pridnestrovia)
Trainer: Wendell Beckett (67 y/o, Abanhfleft)

STARTERS
GK: CAPOEIRISTA
30 y/o, Airbus Fhulghamous Besanza Image
Bradini Vazconcelos Redentor, as Capoeirista is called in real life, is one of the better keepers playing both for and in the Fhulghamous Peninsula. Named after the well-known international football star Simone Di Bradini, Capoeirista seemed destined to play as a forward, but alas, he found himself more comfortable playing between the goalposts, and that was how he ended up playing as a goalkeeper. When he's not playing football, he teaches people in the martial art of capoeira, which is how he gained his current nickname. His capoeira skills have also proved intangible once he combined it with his goalkeeping training to become one of the best keepers in the colony, producing spectacular saves that are almost akin to martial arts moves. There's no question that he's a good keeper, but the team's performance in the recent Campionato Esportiva doesn't really reflect that, but it could be said that it's more the fault of the defense than Capoierista's personally. Can they improve in time for the World Cup qualifiers?

RB: John MONTEMAYOR 33 y/o, Airbus Fhulghamous Besanza Image, captain
One of the other old-timers that moonlighted as a first-team defensive coach for the planned under-21 side before ending up suiting for the green and gray, Montemayor has since been picked up by local team Airbus Fhulghamous Besanza to provide some defensive depth and experience to their fledgling club, which has just been promoted to the top flight of Fhulghamousian football. Provides a calming presence to the backline of youngsters, but does have a few moments of heart-stopping defensive craziness as well, so it's not always good to have him in the team. Still, he's a calming presence when he himself is calm.

CB: Naftali SINGERSTEIN 23 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Image (Abanhfleft)
A promising young center back whom Sporting Ceneisis immediately snapped up as soon as the Colonists' campaign in the Campionato Esportiva was over, but then immediately sent him on loan to Oontaz Dert Li Ng's Botafogo de Maranao. Singerstein is the kind of center back to sit back and be the last man between the keeper and any marauding attackers, although a lot of times he has to be reminded that there is such a thing as the offside rule. If he does play someone offside, most often it will be by accident. Now back at Ceneisis.

CB: John HAINAUT 21 y/o, Miroz Old Boys Image (Abanhfleft)
The other half of Fhulghamous's central defensive pairing. Hainaut has since picked up a contract for Miroz Old Boys in the second tier of Fleftic football. He's the kind of defender that moves up with the attack and takes the occasional long shot from outside the box from time to time, but he does well to go back to the defense when the opponent marauds up the field. Still, he's caught out of position more times than not, but he's young, and there's still time to learn how to be a proper center back.

LB: Tatsuo KAMAKURA 22 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Image (playing in the Fleftic Premier League)
Maybe an older, more experienced left back could've been selected to play for the national side. Unfortunately, a left back from the Fhulghamous Peninsula better than Kamakura hasn't been discovered yet, so the team will have to settle for him for the moment. But surely there must be some quality in him though as he's been signed by Marinos Thimpodopoulos, the surprise package of the recently concluded Fleftic Premier League season.

RM: Aidan POWER Jr. 24 y/o, unaffiliated
The only mystery around Aidan Junior, son of local Nepharim legend Aidan Power Sr., is why such a good right midfielder such as himself has been passed over by almost every club that could possibly sign him. He's good enough to play for a Premier League side, but not even Godric Wexler and Arsenal de Releinthi had taken a chance on him. There must be an element to his game that has turned off teams to him. Is there hope for him to get a club this time around?

CM: Kieran MOSKOWITZ 21 y/o, Palatine Opals Image (Pridnestrovia)
Box-to-box midfielder who got a contract with Pridnestrovia's Palatine Opals due to his impressive work in the Runner Cup and the Campionato Esportiva. Looks to repeat his earlier heroics for the country in this Campionato.

CM: Lucian VON FRANKREICH 24 y/o, Union Rheinburg Image (Pridnestrovia)
The other Fhulghamousian central midfielder was signed by another Pridnestrovian club, namely Union Rheinburg. Frankreich is a holding midfielder who can get the ball out of sticky situations and feed passes to the attack, although he is susceptible to being crowded out with the right pressure.

LM: Albert SUZUKI 31 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Image (Abanhfleft)
One of two players on the Fhulghamousian side who had already been playing club football before switching allegiances to the Fhulghamous Peninsula. It probably helps that he hasn't received an international call-up for Abanhfleft before going to the Fhulghamous. He's doing well for Marinos as a left midfielder, and he's certainly one of the best players on the team.

CF: SEBASTIANO Pelucci 26 y/o, RIuwiee United Image (Abanhfleft)
The other player who plays in the Fleftic Premier League, Sebastiano is a recognized striker playing for Riuwiee United, one of the top teams in the Fleftic top tier. He's got his fair share of goals for both club and country, and he'll be looking to add to his tally in the Campionato Esportiva.

CF: Max FETFATZIDIS 25 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Image (Abanhfleft)
No one had been paying attention to Max before he helped get Marinos Thimpodopoulos promoted to the Fleftic Premier League, and his amazing 32 goals that season was enough to earn him a N$40m transfer to Rosenpfelblatz City. Max would've taken over Sebastiano Pelucci's spot, but Mephistopheles injured himself playing baseball with the Trendstart Conquistadors, so Max is starting for the Fhulghamous now.

Known as the newest Stadium of the state named Capital (named that way because of Matekkipper, the country's capital), the Estádio Nacional Rei Mateus I was named after the first king of Matthewsiana, known for both his bravery and his strength. Sadly, the king died a good while ago, leaving the throne for Rei Mateus II. Needless to say, the stadium is pretty robust as a homage to its' namesake on his hey days. It's also the home of the Matekkipper Royals, a follow up of Real Matekkipper whose origins hail from the first king of the nation.

About Prusy Krolewskie

The Principality of Prusy Krolewskie (Royal Prussia) is an absolute monarchy ruled by Prince Zygmunt VIII. We got our independence in 1466 from Prussia. Prusy Krolewskie has a majority of Polish speaking inhabitants with German, Prussian, French, Lithuanian, Russian and Filipino minorities. English is also spoken as a 3rd language by ¼ of the population, mostly in our largest towns. The Prussian people is the original people of Prusy Krolewskie with Baltic origins who were invaded by the Teutonic Order. Today the original Prussian people is kinda extinct but no they aren't extinct because they continue to live in Prusy Krolewskie! And yes I said Filipino minorities because Prusy Krolewskie has claimed a small island in the pacific with Tagalog speaking people.

Prusy Krolewskie is a modern, advanced socialist nation. Football is the national sport, followed by hockey, rugby union, american football and weightlifting. We have two international airports: Prince Zygmunt VIII Lotnisko Miedzynarodowy, located 5 km west of Wyszkow, the capital city of Wojewodztwo Warminskie. Wyszkow is located kinda midway between Ozorkow and the Puck-Malbork metropolitan area, along the Wisla (Vistula) river. The other airport is Miedzyzdroje Lotnisko Miedzynarodowy, located 10 km south of Miedzyzdroje, the capital city of Wojewodztwo Miedzyzdrojskie. Ueckermünde is located on the other side of the Odra (Oder) river about 30 km away from the airport. Travel in Prusy Krolewskie is easy with a modern highway and freeway system. Trains connects the largest cities and nearby airports and you can rent modern cars, most of them are made in our german-speaking Wojewodztwa (Voivodships). Travel whitin the cities is also easy. Ozorkow, the Puck-Malbork metropolitan area and Ueckermünde all have a modern public transport system. You can also find an hotel close to the stadium.

History

Football is played in Prusy Krolewskie since the beginning of the 20th century. Prusy Krolewskie's first international games were in the baptism of fire 59, the Reprezentacja Pruski finished 2nd in group F and lost to Santaclausisgodistan in round of 16. Prusy Krolewskie also were in the World Cup 72 qualifications and finished fifth in group 5 with a 5-3-6 record. Prusy Krolewskie was then missing in action until we come back for the XI olympiads earlier this summer, but the Zielony i bialy failed to qualify.

All time record: 7-3-8

First game: 3-0 win vs Kaboomlandia @ baptism of fire 59
First win: 3-0 win vs Kaboomlandia @ baptism of fire 59

Team Information:
Nation: Technotica Incorporated
Team Name: Mechadrags
Home Stadium: None as of this moment

We regret to inform, that as of right now, in the middle of this civil war, the Technotica Mechadrags have suffered some severe losses. We have lost our esteemed head coach, Yelenia, our Assistant Manager, Talia, along with a few of our beloved players, Xextron, Aria, Trogg, and Haverra, in the onslaught. As much as we regret their passing, we are proud that they did so not only by being firm in their beliefs, but also by saving many innocent lives. We ask that for our first game, that a moment of silence is observed before our first match. Thank you.

First XI Bio:

GK: Jovan Petrovic

DoB: 16/8/1979

Origin: Volstoy district of Luxemburg-Stadt, Central Vonlenska (capital city)

Club: Luxemburg FC

Bio: Was born to a peasant family in the poorest district of capital city, Luxemburg-Stadt. From the age of 9 it was clear that he had great skill playing football. During his teenage years he played as a central defender, but gradually became aware during training sessions that he had an even greater talent as a goalkeeper. At a local club match for the Volstoy Park youth team, he was watched by scouts for Division 2 side Loznica FC. He made his first team debut for Loznica at the age of 18 and found his way to the position as regular goalkeeper at the age of 22. His astonishing clean sheet record (32 in 46 Div.2 games) was quoted as being the main reason why his team were promoted while he was still just 23. After a hard-fought season in the top division, unfortunately his team were relegated. But his journey in the premier league didn't stop there. His efforts were not looked over and he found himself signing for Division 1 champions Luxemburg FC where he was installed as a back-up goalkeeper. When Petrovic was 25 years old, Luxemburg's No. 1 goalkeeper Andreas Lukovic managed to receive a broken leg during a one-on-one incident in a game. This opened up an opportunity to display his matchday quality. He performed well for the next few months and consequently replaced Lukovic and the following season was given the #1 shirt to wear. Ever since he has been the Division's most celebrated goalkeeper and has been a member of the national team since he was 26. Now at 31 he is still determined to keep playing for years to come. He has a total of 75 caps.

DL: Vladimir Jovanovic:

DoB: 13/3/1985

Origin: Sombor, North Vonlenska

Club: Dynamo Lajkovac

Bio: Was born in Sombor in North Vonlenska, but at the age of 7 his family moved out to the countryside to pursue a life of farming. The many fields that his family owned provided a perfect place for Vladimir Jovanovic to practice his love of football. He enrolled in the Sombor Athletik youth academy when he was 12 and stayed there until he graduated to the first team when he was 18. He enjoyed 6 years at the club and led the club to Division 1 glory on one occasion, but in 2009 a new manager arrived who took an instant dislike to Vladimir. Vladimir felt a mutual dislike and so handed in a transfer request and was cheaply snapped up by his current club, Dynamo Lajkovac where he has performed well up to the current day. He made his international debut when he was 22 and has a total of 49 caps and 3 goals.

DC: Nikola Popovic:

DoB: 01/2/1977

Origin: Luxemburg-Stadt, Central Vonlenska (capital city)

Club: Uppsala FC (Sweden)

Bio: Nikola was spotted at a local sunday league fixture by a Luxemburg FC scout when he was 13. He was taken to the youth academy there, but at the age of 14 was convicted of attempted manslaughter and sent to a juvenile detention centre until he was 18. While inside he maintained his talent and regularly turned out for the prison's football team as part of his rehabilitation program. He played for small stints at Luxemburg FC, Lokomotiv Mrdenovac, Magdeburg FC and Dynamo Lajkovac but gained a nationwide reputation for falling out with managers and a slightly dirty style of play. Because of this, he decided that a move abroad would be beneficial and so has ended up at Uppsala FC in Sweden for the past 7 years where he has been a leading star in the Swedish premier league. He has only made 14 caps for Vonlenska, but has impressed manager Alex Thompson enough for him to be included in Vonlenska's world cup starting XI. But fans and coaching staff are slightly concerned about the possibility of a rage-fuelled challenge that could result in a suspension. He has never scored for Vonlenska

DC: Goran Nikolic:

DoB: 17/6/1983

Origin: Mrdenovac, South Vonlenska

Club: Lokomotiv Mrdenovac

Bio: He applied to join the Lokomotiv Mrdenovac youth academy when he was 15 years of age. He was accepted into the academy and displayed such a high level of talent that he was brought to the manager's attention when he was just 16. He was promoted to the reserve team and made his debut 2 months before he turned 17. At the age of 18 he took the place of a transferred centre back in the first team and has been a regular first team player ever since. Even after 13 years at the club, he sees no reason why he would ever want to leave, as he is the longest serving player at the club and so has become a fan favourite. He made his international debut at the age of 19 and has since acquired 87 caps for Vonlenska and has scored 7 times.

DR: Marko Vilotic:

DoB: 04/5/1987

Origin: Pilatovici, South West Vonlenska.

Club: Luxemburg FC

Bio: Marko grew up in a small town called Pilatovici in the South West of Vonlenska. He was captain of his school team and local youth team as a child and when he was 16 he began playing for Division 3 team Pilatovici FC. He stayed there until he was 18 when he was signed by Luxemburg FC for £3,500,000 as he was a well known young talent. His skills developed massively while he was at Luxemburg FC and was put into the first team in 2007 when he was 24. He made his debut for Vonlenska only this year and impressed Alex Thompson throughout the qualifying tournament to earn his place in the Vonlenskan starting XI. He has only made 11 caps for the country and scored once.

ML: Aleksandr Saranov:

DoB: 28/6/1991

Origin: Luxemburg-Stadt

Club : Luxemburg FC

Bio: He was signed up for the Luxemburg FC youth academy when he was only 9 years old. He progressed at a very fast rate and was put into the Senior Reserve team when he was still 14. He made his first team debut when he was 15 years old and took a regular place in the team when he was 16. He is Vonlenska's most celebrated young talent and at the age of 20 he is already the leading star for Luxemburg FC and the Vonlenskan national team. He has been Luxemburg FC's 2nd top goalscorer for the last 3 seasons and Vonlenska's 2nd top goalscorer during the qualifying round despite being a left midfielder! He is widely tipped to be one of the national team's top goalscorers for this competition. He has made 20 caps for Vonlenska and scored 12 goals during this time.

CAM: Miroslav Ilic:

DoB: 18/9/1985

Origin: Tuzla, East Vonlenska

Club: Charleroi FC (Belgium)

Bio: Miroslav grew up in the small town of Tuzla and joined their Division 2 team at the age of 17. When he was 22 he decided that to broaden his career he would require a move abroad and so joined Charleroi FC, a Premier Division team in Belgium for a sum of £950,000. He has progressed magnificently since joining Charleroi and caught the eye of manager Alex Thompson in a recent game for his club and also played a solid qualifying campaign and finds himself in the central attacking midfielder position of the starting XI for the world cup. He has made 15 caps for Vonlenska and scored 6 times in total.

DMC: Radomir Miric:

DoB: 21/1/1984

Origin: Luxemburg-Stadt

Club: Sombor Athletik

Bio: Radomir is son of legendary Vonlenskan striker Miria Androvic who is the most capped Vonlenskan player of all time (he was capped 131 times). Because of this, Radomir was almost forced into a life of sport and was signed by Luxemburg FC from his local non-league club. He didn't impress at the club and after one season made a move to his current club Sombor Athletik where he has enjoyed a much more productive career. He has made 29 caps for Vonlenska and scored twice.

MR: Ljubomir Mrdakovic:

DoB: 14/7/1990

Origin: Mrdenovac, South Vonlenska

Club: Lokomotiv Mrdenovac

Bio: Also born to a professional footballer, Alek Mrdakovic, who played 20 times for Vonlenska and played, as his son does, for Lokomotiv Mrdenovac. Ljubomir has been at the club since he was 14 years old and is one of the club's most important players. He is the fastest member of the Vonlenskan world cup squad with a 100m sprint time of 10.4 seconds. He has played 22 times for Vonlenska and scored 5 times.

ST: Todor Kuzmanovic:

DoB: 30/3/1987

Origin: Luxemburg-Stadt

Club: Luxemburg FC

Bio: Todor is the team's top goalscorer with 36 goals in 52 games. He is expected to continue his goalscoring form throughout the competition and end with Vonlenska's golden boot award. He was signed by Luxemburg FC at the age of 17 after scoring 65 goals in a season of 46 games for Division 3 team Lokomotiv Vrbas. While not scoring quite so many goals for the Division 1 champions, he has been top goalscorer for the team and division for the past 4 seasons and is truly one of the national team's main talents.

ST: Slobodan Kolarov:

DoB: 23/3/1987

Origin: Manaus, Brazil

Club: Magdeburg FC

Bio: Slobodan was born to Vonlenskan parents who had emigrated to Manaus in Brazil two years before they had their first child. Slobodan grew up there and as a result has learnt his football from players who have the most flair of anyone in the world. He is Vonlenska's most skilful player and can pull off a whole variety of tricks to show off to and entertain the crowd. He first started playing professional football in Brazil, but with the death of his parents decided to move back to his true home with his other family in Magdeburg, where he continued his career. He has played 43 times for Vonlenska and scored 20 times.

World Cup 76 Qualifiers Squad

Image

This tournament marks the second attempt to qualify for the World Cup for Brigantii, with the team's previous attempt leading them to a 4th place finish in the group with a 4-5-3 record. This was followed with a disastrous Cup of Harmony, with Brigantii losing their opening two fixtures, conceding 8 goals, before a consolation victory over New Gazi.

Coach: Ron Winston. The manager will nearly be a septuagenarian by the time the competition draws to a close, so qualification or not, its hard to see him being in charge come the qualifying for World Cup 77. He likes his team to line up in an old fashioned 4-4-2, with a big man up front, complimented by a smaller, more compact, mobile partner. He may lose his cool if his left back goes meandering up the pitch like he does for his club, as he doesn't really go in for this newfangled “attacking wingback” nonsense.

Starting XI

GKP. Ray Hurst. Rookscroft City. Ray has made the number 1 jersey his own for both club and country. He managed 9 clean sheets for the City in the league and picked up a League Cup winner's medal.

RB. Harry Melville. Rookscroft United. The wingback hasn't been displaced from his position of starting right back for club and country for years and looks set to continue for a while to come.

CB. Jamie Gallagher*. Albertpool. The 26 year old centreback was a key component in the Albertpool club's championship winning season. Solid at the back with a no-nonsense approach to defending. Row Z before trying something flashy, every time.

CB. Leroy Emmet. Brierthorne. The former under 21's defender has blossomed into one of Brigantii's best centrebacks. Initially debuting as an ungainly spaghetti man, he's bulked up and now has some muscle.

LB. Byron Samuels. Albertpool. The wingback moved to Albertpool for several million pounds and has just gotten better and better, even finding his scoring boots from left back and proving to be the flashy opposite to his team mate Gallagher.

RM. Rowan Newell. Belle-Isle on Sea. The young midfielder left Ridgemont Town to step out of the shadow of Mitchell Clay and has shone at his new club, turning in some solid performances and being voted Belle-Isle's Player Of The Year.

CM. Jarred Stevenson. Albertpool. The midfielder is the captain and the engine in the Brigantii midfield. He'll be linking up with a number of his club team mates and this familiarity may be key to Brigantii's chances of qualifying for the world cup. He is also the team's designated penalty taker.

CM. Aaron Ramsbottom. Marketnewton. The midfielder was an up and comer last time around, now he's a fully fledged league champion and cog in the Marketnewton midfield. A flashy player who adds a little excitement every time he plays, but plagued by personal problems.

LM. Stephen McNamara. Albertpool. The winger isn't naturally left footed, but his speed and his agility make him one of the best attacking options available for both his club and country. Has been linked with a move away to Wyrmgore Champion's League winners Real Minanda.

CF. Trevor Winter. Marketnewton. The striker spent the previous year on loan at Torkingham, he's a big, powerful centre forward and a league winner to boot.

CF. Michael Irwin. Albertpool. The striker finished top scorer in the league for Albertpool and has been brought back into the starting XI following his goal scoring exploits. Hopefully his tremendous league form will be replicated for his country.

Subs

GKP. Trent Harell*. Hogghampton. The Hogghampton stopper could be a little aggreived at not being first choice keeper having kept 16 clean sheets in the league. Perhaps if he played for a more cosmopolitan club he'd have gotten the nod.

CB. Wardell Raines. Brierthorne. After leaving Bishopbury for Brierthorne, the international centre back has seen a slip in his stock, which is a shame as he's still playing well and will remain a threat from set pieces.

CM. Kelly Nicks*. Torkingham Wanderers. The tough tackling midfielder is a bruising, battling Gladiator, the type you just don't seen enough of these days and will likely be employed when a team have a flashy midfielder who needs tabs keeping on.

RM. Lennox Whitaker*. Landfell. The 17 year old is definitely flavour of the month, making his league debut for Landfell late on in the season, he burst on to the scene scoring against Brierthorne and caught the eye of the national team coach who is taking a gamble on the young man.

CF. Carl Andrews. Almondvale. The striker is just the type the manager is fond of, big, powerful target man, who can head the ball and bully defenders. Playing for Almondvale, he's had a topsy turvy few seasons, finishing league runners up one season, then dead middle of the table the next.

Reserves

GKP. Shane Townsend*. Redfern Athletic. Townsend has seen the lows of relegation and the highs of promotion and the middles of mid table finishes. Decent enough stopper, but will be playing third choice behind two very good goalkeepers.

CB. Dakota Harrison*. Madonnachurch. Emerging from the Madonnachurch youth set up, the promising centreback has played three quarters of the team's fixtures this year and if Brigantii had sent a team to the DBC he would definitely have featured.

RB. Brooks Hamilton. Belle-Isle on Sea. The young wingback gained promotion with Belle-Isle and has cemented his place in the squad with some assured performances. It wont be long before he's snapped up by one of the bigger clubs.

CM. Russ Baker. Brierthorne. Short, stocky and with a decent engine, the midfielder can be a little flashy at points when he should just do something a little more basic.

CM. Frankie Wallace. Bishopbury. The question has hung over the team for a while, Wallace or Stevenson, and with Wallace now 33, he's been relegated to the reserves. He still has one hell of a shot on him and, can help the younger players get used to being around the national team.

LM. Newt Courtney*. Rookscroft City. City have been spending money on foreign imports, but Courtney has emerged as a great winger and a home grown talent. He just needs a little more time on the pitch to be allowed to come into his own.

CF. Zack Wilbraham. Rookscroft United. The young forward is still a bit part player at United, making most of his appearances off the bench, but when he comes on, the lad shines and regularly finds the net. This ability has seen him added to the Brigantii squad.

The team this time around is a little more... flashy... this description is possibly due to a lack of synonyms used to describe some of the players in the squad. We're not expecting miracles, we're not expecting to run wild over teams, we're just hopeful of giving a fair representation of ourselves. Our ranking may be low. But our spirit is high. The squad is now a little older and wiser and the spine of the team is built around the Albertpool league winning side. There's a new look centre back pairing too, with the pair from the previous qualifying campaign being relegated to supporting players, or completely out of the picture. Also in the team, some very new faces who will be making international debuts should they feature, they're donated with a *.

Brigantii's home games are played at the 90,000 seater Warbury Stadium. The stadium has been home to the national team for well over one hundred years (despite this only being Brigantii's second World Cup qualifying campaign) and is located in the district of Warbury in the capital city Eborum.

For visiting teams and fans, Brigantii is a modern nation, with good public transport. The language spoken is Brigantii English and written form allows for the use of U in words like colour and favourite. The people of Brigantii like a beer, which means the fans can get a little rowdy, but there hasn't been any problem with hooliganism for decades. The locals appreciate proper manners, please and thank you will get you a long way and if you're stuck for something to talk about, just mention the weather.

Choose my goalscorers Y, but try to keep them in the chosen 16
Godmod scoring events Y, but not too ridiculous
RP injuries to my players Y, but not to serious
Godmod injuries to my players Y, but please don't cripple them
Hand out yellow cards to my players Y, but not excessively
Hand out red cards to my players Y, but not too often
Godmod other events Y, make it funny. As you may have notice Kalumba has a wee bit of a hooligan problem so feel free to mention that

And the team:

Manager: Terence Ottbourne - Kalumban hero, was hugely influential in the Baptism of Fire 43 victory where his goalkeeping kept us in many a game and went so far as to win us others. His retirement left a hole which has still to be filled. He is new to the managerial position having worked as a first team coach with a few Kalumban sides, but was only appointed manager of the national side last month following the untimely death of George Davies from a heart attack. He has brought many members of the BoF 43 side into his coaching staff hoping to instill a level of belief in the players whose recent poor form has seen them fail to qualify for any international tournaments since World Cup 72.

First Team Coach: Magnus Malan- Led the team throughout the last World Cup without much success but he did record a notable victory against highly rated Newmanistan, and suffered only narrow defeats to teams in the top 25 in the world. Very defensive minded and his approach led the team to be nicknamed 'The Tortoises'.

Goalkeepers:
Ulusu Mtanda-No.1 23 year old novice, looking to make his debut this time out. Part of the Kahali Spears team which is taking the Kalumban League by storm, and holds a new clean sheet record after going 14 games unbeaten this season.
Frank Burnden-No.67 42 year old veteran keeper, useful back up option. Will not expect to start but will most probably be on the bench to cover for the young keeper in case of injury.
Peter Franks-No.41 23 year old rookie, first selection for the team. Missed out on going to the Di Bradini cup by 2 months, so will be hoping to play a few games to secure his position as long term successor to Ottbourne and to unseat Mtanda. May play in less crucial group games or when Kalumba are knocked out. Still strugging to fulfill his early potential.

Defenders:
LB-Derek Ward, 29 year old truck driver, stupid but effective No. 12 Recently banned from driving for Drink-Driving, will be hoping to secure a place at a foreign club team to provide him with an income.
LCB-Vincent Mkure, 19 year old, member of the Kahali Spears No. 14 Built like the proverbial ox this young man has a long career ahead of him at the heart of Kalumba's defence. And such is his maturity he is already being spoken of as a future captain.
LCB-Duncan Edward, 28 year old, pretty boy, but solid at the back No. 4 A true rock and Kalumba's second most capped player since his debut in BoF 43 will be hoping to return Kalumba to the heights she once achieve.
RCB-Kaneu Daima, 22 year old, 6 foot 9, deadly in the air No. 6 Last minute inclusion ahead of the injured Von Harniggen, but his displays for Kahali this season warrant an inclusion anyway.
RCB-Norman Baker, 28 year old bank manager, great slide tackler No. 5 Castigated in the news for losing his bank a large amount of money speculating on the stock market, will try to rebuild his reputation.
RB-James Downs, 39 year old ex-rugpy prop forward, solid but no agility whatsoever No. 3 Recently dropped from his Rugby team so is looking to football for his wage.
RB-Frank Ruyten, 23 year old civil servant, very fast but poor crossing ability No. 19 Has worked on his crossing but still struggles to fulfill his promise as an attacking fullback.

Midfielders:
LM-Peter Kurtz, 25 year old full time proffesional footballer No. 21 Still struggling for form but has improved at the World Cup scoring twice and creating another couple for Kalumba.
LM-James Fish, 19 year old protege No. 9 Still a protege, retained for the first team instead of the U21s so Davies clearly intends to play him.
CM-Ollie Roberts, 27 year old model and dancing champion No. 18 First high profile homosexual in Kalumba. Has moved to Southern Cynocephali to play professionally and be open with his sexuality.
CM-Gabriel Danukwe, 20 year old Kahali Spears strong man No. 16 An old fashioned enforcer, Danukwe will have to watch his discipline.
CM -Laurence Kabila, 20 year old Kahali Spears creative midfielder No. 15 Picked up 23 assists this season and is seen as a major part of the future of Kalumban football.
CAM -Ben Cheeter, 23 built like an arab donkey but with the shot of an angry mule No. 27 Didn't impress at either the BoF or the last WC but still integral to the team as he links the midfield to the strikers.
CDM- Godwin Kuli, 19 year old sweeper for Kahali Spears No. 17 Despite the unfashionability of the position this young man has played it with aplomb and will hope to reproduce such form for the national side.
RM-Jameson Slutei, 23 year old and rapid No. 33 Lucky to get in the team, but an injury to Abouto left the position open and Slutei will look to make it his own.
RW-Jermaine Filks, 33 year old great crosser of the ball No. 11 Due to Abouto's excellence has yet to feature but has worked on his left sided play in hope of getting a starting position.

Strikers:
RS- Roland Grezlak, 28 year old, 6 foot strong as an ox No. 8 Came on to score many a crucial goal, will be looking for me involvment this time round.
RS- Anthony Peters, 23 year old, youngster but top scorer last season No. 99 Barely featured but did score our second goal in the BoF final. Will be looking to break into the team on a regular basis.
LS-Piet Von Kruger, 21 year old, second striker for Kahali spears No. 21 An excellent partner for Watusi, if they can recreate their club form they will be a feature for years to come in the Kalumban national team.
CF- Peterson Watusi, 17 year old, 20 goal hero for Kahali Spears No. 10 His goals have won him the place of veteran Kevin Davis, it is hoped the pressure won't overwhelm the young man.
CF- Craig Garden, 28 year old, reliable but not much skill No. 93 Another non-starter and like Malone will struggle to record a further cap to his collection of seven.

National information.
Located within the Esportiva, Port Christopher is an unincorporated state of the Free Colony of Schottia. The nation is home to just over 1,000,000 people, the vast majority living in the City of Port Christopher. The small country is home to a diverse population of various ethnicities and backgrounds. Port Christopher has an extremely high population density especially around the coastal areas.

The colony was established as a trading post in 1879, when the then, Eastern Ossorían Empire, were looking for a way into the Esportivan market. The wealthy polyarchy of merchants swamped to Port Christopher in a bid to take advantage of this situation.

At the time the Ossorí government came under heavy criticism for their treatment of the native population. Many of whom it is believed had their homes destroyed and were either sold into slavery or died from disease and hunger as their fields were dug up for cash crops. General Lewis Home-Christopher, whom the colony is named after, is still a controversial figure in Schottia today for the methods he used in securing the area.

The Port Christopher merchants quickly became some of the richest in what were the beginnings of a Schottic maritime empire, taking over from where the previous administrations had left off. The new colony flourished along with the EOE at this time and was another hub to new enlightenment and developments in science, education, literature and philosophy. The City of Port Christopher became the Empire's second city and one of the richest Tyranan ports.

Squad information.
It is quite possible that Port Christopher have now found their level, as a mid-ranked side that will push for a play-offs spot right up until the final weeks, but inevitably fall short. The Sea Lions have had to endure some frustrating times in their short venture into WCC football, with fewer highs than lows. However, despite constant setbacks, you feel they will keep plugging away and hope for the best, come what may.

There is no change to the squad, which entered the Esportivan regional championships for the first time last year, although there might be a slight shift in terms of the starting eleven. Tony Uist is almost certain to come back in, in place of Ross Jameson, after the New Dundee Star player failed to shine in Tumbra. And Rachel Del Arro, who has been impressive Samaj FC in the Cosumarite top flight, looks as if she will be preferred to the aging Moritz Wessel in the number ten role.

Port Christopher will set up very defensively once again, with a solid, flat back four, protected by team captain Diego Bandos. This is without a doubt where the team are strongest, with 20-year-old defenders Liam Goncalves and Tomas Nazario-Silva potential stars of tomorrow. In attack they will rely heavily on Polaris skipper Tim Maitfield and the aforementioned Del Arrow to create the kind of openings Tony Uist needs to tuck the ball away.

-------------------

---4-5-1---

GK: Carus Laxium, 33 Patria Poble Image Height: 192cm Weight: 87kg
Laxium is strong and reliable keeper with many years of experience in Christopheran League. Not a native, however after nine years living in the country, he qualifies for this Port Christopher side. After a move to FC Padan in Lutine turned sour, he is now San Lleran club Patria Poble.

RB/M: Anderiz, 26 New Saint Johns Image Height: 169cm Weight: 67kg
The Saints defender is on of the main reasons his side have performed so well over the last four seasons. Anderiz has won a huge list of admirers with his crunching tackles and forward runs.

LB: Liam Goncalves, 20 Dundee Image Height: 180cm Weight: 68kg
The 20-year-old could be the next big thing. A fast left-back who likes to get to the opposition by-line, he was a big factor in Dundee finishing third in the SPL two years ago, and is regarded one of the best defenders in Schottia.

CB/DM: Tomas Nazario-Silva 20, Willox Street Pirates Image Height: 191cm Weight: 81kg
A young centre-back with a bloodthirsty streak in him. He has been fantastic for the Pirates since breaking into the team a year ago. Whether he is in defence, or pushed forward into the midfield, he never shies away from a tackle, even if it means going through the player to get to the ball.

CB: Robert Wessel, 32 FC Soessch Image Height: 190cm Weight: 88kg
One half of the Wessel twins, he and his brother Moritz were a main stay at New Dundee for the best part of a decade. The sons of Schottic North Island migrants, they have lived and played in Port Christopher all their careers. Robert Wessel, who recently moved to FC Soessch in Schottia, is a big goal threat coming forward for set-pieces.

CM: Diego Bandos, 32 Lexington Victory Image Height: 177cm Weight: 74kg C
Captain of the team, Bandos is a quick and dynamic player who combines silky passing with robust tackling. Bandos is probably the only real standout player in the squad, as his $5M move from the Pirates to Lexington Victory proves.

CM: Elisa Rivera, 31 Marinos Thimpodopoulos Ladies Image Height: 167cm Weight: 63kg
Sarrburgh Town have never quite recovered from the loss of Rivera when she left to join Schottic side the Warriors. She will probably play in the most advanced role of the midfield-three, and is great with the ball at her feet, a short crisp passer of the ball.

RM: Aredhel Neil 28, La Gorlions Image Height: 164cm Weight: 72kg
Had quite an unhappy time of it at Blue Coast over the last four or five seasons, despite being one of the league on form players. Quick, strong, and reliable, Neil now hopes to move on to bigger and better thing in the SPL with La Gorlions.

LM: Tim Maitfield, 29 Polaris Image Height: 179cm Weight: 77kg
Maitfield is your typical right footed, left sided midfielder. He is most effective with his head down running at the defenders with pace. He scores regularly for his club, cutting in of the left and unleashing some ferocious strikes.

LM: Rachel Del Arro 22, Samaj FC Image Height: 173cm Weight: 57kg
Del Arro spent her entire youth career from the age of 12 at Handon United, before making the move to Samaj FC. In her debut season she helped the club win promotion the Cosumarite top flight. She is a light weight player, who is capable of producing some fantastic trickery.

CF: Tony Uist, 28 Marinos Thimpodopoulos ImageHeight: 179cm Weight: 76kg
Uist was the Super-League's top scorer three years in a row before joining Fleftic side Marinos Thimpodopoulos, in a 7 million deal. The former Blue Coast man represents the biggest goal threat for this side, and is one of the few top-class players in this starting eleven.

---subs---

GK: Scott Torrance, 26 New Sarrburgh Town Image Height: 189cm Weight: 82kg
Represented Schottia at U-21 level, but has played in Port Christopher for seven years now. Arguably the best keeper in the Super-League.

CB: Lara Dixon 31, Willox Street Pirates Image Height: 179cm Weight: 70kg
A regular first team player for the Pirates, Dixon may have to settle for a place on the bench in this tournament. She is a little different form the other defenders, and offers a bit more pace.

RM: Jose Almedro 31, New Saint Johns Height: 190cm Weight: 80kg
Tall, powerful and lightning quick, Almedro is someone who can be brought on to influence the game if things aren’t going to plan.

LM/D: Tom Popescu-Black 28, New Saint Johns Image Height: 183cm Weight: 76kg
A teammate of Almedro, Popescu-Black is one of the most highly rated midfielders in the league. He qualifies to play for Port Christopher through his maternal grandmother.

ACM: Moritz Wessel, 32 New Dundee Star Image Height: 190cm Weight: 80kg
The other half of the Wessel twins, Moritz is very different form his brother. Tall and lanky he lacks his Brother's power, but he is a potent player in his own right. Capable of playing anywhere across the midfield his best position is just behind the strikers.

CM: Maeve Bronte 21, Willox Street Pirates Image Height: 175cm Weight: 59kg
A quick, clever passer of the ball, Bronte has featured a fair bit for the Pirates over the past two years. She is very creative in possession, but also has that Willox Street combative mentality.

CM: Miller Icacic, 30 Kelsy Merchants Image Height: 182cm Weight: 79kg
One of the more surprising names in the squad, but he has had a great season with his club the Kelsy Merchants. The central midfielder is a tall and athletic player, who is not afraid to shoot from distance.

CM: Dietmar Koenig 32, New Dundee Star Image Height: 180cm Weight: 76kg
The Stars captain will perhaps be disappointed to have to settle for a spot on the bench. Everyone will be expecting to see him feature heavily though, as his skill and passing ability are legendary at his club.

L/CM: Acacia García 22, Newport Sirens Image Height: 172cm Weight: 60kg
Your typical Christopheran wide-player, lightning quick and a bit rough around the edges. García has had a good debut season at Newport, after leaving the Schottic youth system.

CF: Jacques 24, Dundee Image Height: 178cm Weight: 68kg
Jacques has been a top prospect for his country for some time. The stocky little striker takes no prisoners and represents a real presence in attack. His goals helped Dundee to an incredible 6th in the SPL.

CF: Ross Jameson 29, New Dundee Star Image Height: 178cm Weight: 75kg
Probably the best player the Kirston Eagles have ever produced, Ross Jameson was in the form of his career as he helped New Dundee push The Willox Street Pirates all the way last season.

CF: Chris Abaroa 23, Willox Street Pirates Image Height: 180cm Weight: 70kg
Abaroa had a great breakthrough season with the league champions, and really hit form towards the end of the season. With the Pirates on the way up, and Abaroa only at the age of 23, be will surely have a big future in the game.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

The Royal Gadiryan Football Association (RGFA) presents
The Gadiryan National Football Team Call-Ups for the World Cup Qualifiers

In the 5E 229 Gadiryan football was limited to major cities in the country and was amateurish in it's play or watching the great game on television rooting for various Esportivan teams. An ambitious king however changed everything in the country when he established the Royal Gadiryan Football Association and began the 7 year process to prepare the country for international, professional football; during that 7 year period the government built training centres, sent promising coaches abroad to learn football and constructed stadiums to house the clubs once football went professional in the country. In 237 Gadirya was finally ready to have their tournament debut and competed in the 17th Campionato Esporitva; they were drawn in a tough group that included part of the World Cup winning team in the form of the Northern Sunrise Islands. Needless to say the results were mixed in that debut tournament: the heavy loss to NSI stung and was a rude welcome to international football, the victory over Bodensee gave the team hope, but the loss against Polkopia ended any chance of making it to the Round of 16. After that mixed but expected debut the Gadiryans prepared for the 63rd Baptism of Fire. Unlike the Campionato the Baptism of Fire was the tournament for the national side; Gadirya won every single match and only conceded one goal the whole tournament making Gadirya one of the most dominating champions in Baptism history. Now as Gadirya prepares for their first World Cup campaign they can confident to make some waves in the qualifiers. Despite local media pressure to revise the goals set and released by the RGFA for Gadirya's footballing progress the heads at the RGFA have said they have no expectations in qualifying but they do expect a good performance in the qualifiers. Regardless of what the media, the RGFA, or even the fans say the Gadiryan National Team is ready to compete. For God and Country!

Goalkeepers-
GK #1 Aziz Karim (Consistent Starter) {Age: 29} [Al Ahly]
GK #30 Maximilien Jauffret (Contending Starter) {Age: 31} [CA Casablanca]
GK #13 Hamed Almasi (Aging Contending Starter) {Age: 33} [Olympique Charmat]
GK #38 Islam Halabi (In-form Backup) {Age: 20} [Karimi Technica Ittihad]

Aziz Karim is currently the starting goalkeeper for the national team and is all around an average keeper. His athleticism is something that is lacking in his game but his determination to stop the ball from going in the net is a trait to be mentioned. Despite his rough start in the Campionato where he allowed five goals in three matches, four of them coming from Northern Sunrise Islands, his Baptism of Fire performance has to be one of the most legendary in that tournament's history. Thanks to his steady hands and capable defense he only allowed one goal; Azis' performance has entrenched his spot as number one goalkeeper despite new challengers to the goalkeeping throne. Hamed Almasi was at first just added for veteran depth and was widely believed that he probably wouldn't play, mainly due to his horrible lack of athleticism that belief has changed due to his excellent performance in the Ligue Élite. Maximilien Jauffret is another challenger to the throne, he was goalkeeper of the Ligue Élite and many pundits want him to at least have a couple of starts in the qualifiers; he is an agile goalkeeper that kept over a dozen clean sheets and is said to be one of the keys for CA Casablanca winning the league due to his ability to start counterattacks with his strong throwing arm. This type of skill would do wonders for Gadirya's counter based offense but we will have to wait before we see him on the pitch between the goalposts. Islam Halabi is a surprising addition to the team, a nobody before the Baptism of Fire, after a strong showing in league play he is the list of potential call ups. While it is unlikely he will start it is good to see a player that came out of nowhere now in the shortlist for making the team.

Defenders-
RB #12 Lütfü Burakgazi (In-form Starter) {Age: 25} [Olympique Charmat]
CB #3 Hanbal Tuma (Starter) {Age: 28} [Al Taedin]
CB #4 [C] Gérard Calvet (Leader Among Men) {Age: 24} [CA Casablanca]
LB #2 Umair Ammar (Promising Starter) {Age: 21} [Leidon Ittihad]
RB #15 Hatem Batal (Promising Prospect) {Age: 17} [In Taman Training Centre #2]
RB #35 Sharif Slimani (Backup) {Age: 20} [CA Casablanca]
CB #27 Güvenç Uzun (Backup) {Age: 29} [Altinspor]
CB #5 Kasto Rahal (Backup) {Age: 26} [Leidon Ittihad]
CB #29 Selim Badem (Backup) {Age: 20} [Olympique Charmat]
LB #6 Dominique Beaumanoir (Exciting Prospect) {Age: 18} [CA Casablanca]
LB #16 Fabien Patenaude (Solid Backup) {Age: 23} [Club Sportif]

Gadiryan defenders are very physical in their play and that strength was showcased as they pushed around the forwards of the Baptism of Fire allowing only one goal the whole tournament. Their only weakness is their struggles against more technical opponents; that soft spot was shown when playing against NSI in the CE. But other than that they can handle themselves pretty well as they shutdown numerous attacking teams during their championship run. The best starter by far is Gérard Calvet who is also captain of the team. Despite being only 24 his leadership on the pitch is very valuable to the team as he could rally his teammates to perform as best as they possibly can. He is also the most talented defender of this group who has a knack for heading the ball and his passes are used to start counters when Gadirya soaks up pressure. His defending is also solid as well. Followed by Calvet is Lütfü Burakgazi who has been in-form in both international and domestic football and hopes to continue his fine form by continuing to play in the qualifiers. A new addition from the lineup is Umair Ammar who was named in the team of the season due to his sensational play in the league and has seemed to displace former starter Hamed Amiri in both club and now national team levels, even grabbing his number two jersey number. Other notable players in the call-up list include: Dominique Beaumanoir who has helped his CA Casablanca side win the league and is now on the cusp of becoming a consistent starter for the national team, Fabien Patenaude is another left back with a good season of domestic football and has been added in the call-up list, and lastly Sharif Slimani who while has no shot in overtaking Burakgazi for starting RB he can contest for backup against a talented Hatem Batal.

Midfielders-
CDM #8 Said El-Amin (Solid Starter) {Age: 30} [Leidon Ittihad]
RCM #14 Jean-Christophe Prudhomme (Aging Starter) {Age: 34} [St Simeon]
LCM #17 Farouk Benita (Exciting Starter) {Age: 17} [Charmat Training Centre #1]
CAM #10 Hikmet Kundakçı (Solid Starter) {Age: 27} [Altinspor]
CDM #32 Yves Comtoi (Backup) {Age: 23} [Al Taedin]
CDM #28 Sacha Beauvau (Young Backup) {Age: 19} [CA Casablanca]
CM #26 Efe Moghadam (Backup) {Age: 27} [Al Ahly]
CM #18 Hadi Kartal (Backup) {Age: 28} [Leidon Ittihad]
CM #42 Gaubert Royer (Backup) {Age: 21} [Olympique Charmat]
CAM #23 Simon Cartier (Rising Star) {Age: 22} [CA Casablanca]
CAM #22 Samir Zakaria (In-form Backup) {Age: 26} [Al-Qasr]

It is widely believed that the midfielders have improved greatly; while they still aren't world class, Gadiryan midfielders are probably one of the rising talents in the world of football. There are two aging players that provide experience and stability to the middle of the pitch; their cool heads and guidance helped Gadirya win numerous midfield battles in the Baptism of Fire. Jean-Christophe Prudhomme already having silverware by winning the Baptism has announced that after this World Cup cycle he will retire for national duties so this last major tournament with the Gadiryan team. Expect him to start but as the matches go on during the qualifiers he might be used less and less. Said El-Main is the destroyer of the team and thanks to him has stopped numerous attacks in the Baptism; expect Said to try and continue that role and form. Farouk, despite not playing for a club he is a primary starter for the team and performed really well in Baptism, so well in fact, that he continues to maintain the starting spot. New additions to the Call-Up list include Efe Moghadam which had a solid season with Al Ahly, and rising stars Simon Cartier of CA Casablanca and Samir Zakaria of Al-Qasr. While Simon is the most talented of the three Efe is expected to get an earlier start due to Jean-Christophe entering his twilight years of his career.

Forwards-
RS #7 Mustafa Ganim (Creme-de-la-crap) {Age: 25} [Al Ahly]
LS #9 Michel Héroux (Aging Starter) {Age: 32} [Olympique Charmat]
ST #11 Pierre-Louis Le Tonnelier (Exciting Prospect) {Age: 16} [Casablanca Training Centre #1]
RS #18 Darwishi Tannous (Match Changing Backup) {Age: 23} [Leidon Ittihad]
LS #19 Selâhattin Teke (Rising Star) {Age: 21} [Altinspor]
LW #21 Nur Burakgazi (In-form Backup) {Age: 28} [Al Ahly]

Despite Mustafa Ganim's rough start in his international career he performed rather well in Baptism of Fire and has a loose grip in the starting spot as striker. In the call-ups list there's the ever talented Pierre-Louis Le Tonnelier, the now relevant Darwishi Tannous, and rising star Selâhattin Teke all of which are hoping to overthrow Mustafa Ganim and Michel Héroux, who is rumored to retire after these qualifiers, for starting striker. Nur Burakgazi is an interesting callup mainly because he isn't a striker at all, but he could be fitted to be one.

Manager-
Ali Tahan {Age: 42}

Tahan is the first Gadiryan manager to graduate from the elite Felixian coaching schools and because of that the RGFA hired him to be the first manager of the Gadiryan NT. He abides by a more conservative team philosophy as he prefers to defend well than attack too much and have an exposed defense. But don't let that fool you, he loves to counter attack with pace and makes it a point for his attacking players to play on the line at all costs in order to have an attack that won't be cancelled out due to an offside call. Tahan's start as manager for Gadirya was rough at first with a bad, but expected, showing in the Campionato and after that told the press he would resign if Gadirya failed to make it out of the Group Stage of the Baptism of Fire. Needless to say he won't be doing that anytime soon due to his team doing more than just making out of the Group Stage. With a Baptism of Fire victory under his belt he is ready to show the world he can do more and is rumored to be on the radar of many clubs across the World.

Assistant Manager-
Süleyman Değirmenci {Age: 44}

He is the manager of the U-21 Gadiryan side and the assistant manager to Ali Tahan; his U-21 managing career got off to a good start with a Round of 16 finish and is billed to be the successor to Ali should he leave due to his calm yet solid leadership. Süleyman has been joked to be the "Chief Whip" of the national team both gauging what the players desire and what the manager wants them to do. Süleyman's footballing philosophy is unknown but it is said that it follows the current manager.

Assistant Manager-
Ishikawa Haruka {Age: 30}

Ishikawa Haruka was once the manager of the Felixian national team, the same one that made it to the World Cup finals and lost to Osarius. While her philosophy of football conflicts with Ali's and Süleyman's her attacking football insight should help with counterattacks as she could coach the midfielders and strikers in playing aggressive yet effective attacking football while still following Ali's doctrine of defend, defend, defend. While she herself has no ambitions in become the manager yet she is just excited to be back in the managers box helping coach a team. For a woman that was out of the job temporally this is a godsend.

=================================
Choose My Goalscorers: Yes
Godmod Goalscoring Events: Yes, but keep it real. Gadirya plays scrappy, defensive football so expect goals come from either set pieces or counterattacks after soaking up a lot of pressure from the oppenent.
Injure Players: Yes (just TG me details before you post)
Godmod Injury Events: Yes (see above)
Red Card Players: Yes (minimum 2 in a match)
Yellow Card Players: Yes (as long as you can explain how they got it as many as you want)
Godmod Other Events: I rather keep it real but if you wanna go wild, just TG me your idea

Gadirya loves to play quick, counterattacking football. If you are an attacking team Gadirya will soak up the pressure and so soon as your team makes a mistake or an attempt is blocked, the defenders will heave the ball to any open players and commit players forward. If you are a defending team Gadirya will play slow pragmatic football as they will take their time to break you down and are not in a hurry to do so, unless it is the last moments of the match and they are behind. Set pieces will be a source of goals for this Gadiryan team so expect them to try and force a corner instead of taking a chance to cross the ball into the box from the wings although the Baptism of Fire showed that Gadirya can play in the open as well.

Starting Lineup, Formation, and Tactics:

Image

Valladares' usual formation is a 3-2-2-3 (or 3-4-3 for general reference), which can turn into either a very aggressive yet non-conventional 3-2-5 for attacking or a 5-4-1 (a 3-6-1, even) when the team feel the need to enter into a defensive mode. La Nacional will always be looking to attack and retain ball possession for as long as possible, trying to score many goals in the shortest possible time and mounting an insurmountable lead for the second half of the match when players from both teams start showing signs of fatigue. This squad mostly relies on the speed of both Abel Brücke and Angelo Farías on the wings both in attack and in defense modes, with defensive midfielders Jonathan Bosetti and Pedro Pedretti being able to retreat to the defensive line with ease whenever the team lose ball possession in order to form a line of 5 defenders, thus giving rival forwards a very hard time when trying to break through the Valladar defense. The 3 forwards are also very speedy and talented but most of all, dangerous: they can turn seemingly harmless crosses into goals, create chances and score goals out of nothing, and kill defenses with speed and lethal counterattacks.
