Season 5, Part 3
Edition: V
Round of 16
Urrheddiao 9–0 Gurshan
Anomalies 2–0 Brisara
Myana 2–0 Anfanhar
Chromatik 1–0 Lhor
Deprí Sanar 0–0 Felswyr (1–1 AET) (6–7 pen.)
Z'ai'ai 4–5 Deprí Lanar
Alnio 0–4 Pùr
Eyrods 1–3 Wirr Tsi
Urrheddiao... Wow. Absolute destruction of poor Gurshan, who are left wondering just what happened to Hanif... Hackett and Ochini carries Anomalies past Brisara... Dragana & Velasquez for Myana... Chromatik needs a late score from Miguel to carry them... Felswyr barely gets by the Yellow Jackets, Pellegrini coming up big in the clutch... Red Hawks' Laine & Yang take over against Z'ai'ai... Pùr demolishes Alnio, and Wirr Tsi trumps Eyrods at least this time.
Teams were randomly drawn to:
Quarterfinals
Deprí Lanar vs. Urrheddiao
Wirr Tsi vs. Myana
Felswyr vs. Pùr
Chromatik vs. Anomalies
Matchday 17
Chromatik 3–3 Felswyr
Myana 5–2 Alnio
Deprí Sanar 1–1 Wirr Tsi
Eyrods 0–2 Anomalies
Z'ai'ai 0–0 Pùr
Umbar 1–1 Urrheddiao
Felswyr's continued show of form is impressive, even taking a point off of Chromatik now. They are still five points behind Chromatik, but in sixth place is something most pundits never thought Felswyr would be at this point in the season. Beatrice Collas scored a hat trick to help with the onslaught. Dragana and Ebenazher are slowly turning up the heat, both showing up huge in the win over the Union, whose Heher did add two more to her goal total in her impressive rookie season. Yellow Jackets and Wirr Tsi both do their part in a tie that leaves both sides unsatisfied, as both were looking to pick up where they had left off. Anomalies keep in the chase with a show of force against the Jungle Cats, while Pùr is held to a draw by a pesky Rose-Hannaford and Urrheddiao can't put more than a goal past Umbar for an unlikely and untimely draw when the Riders had fallen back a step.
Atlantian Oceania Champions' League Group Stage Match 2
SC Surabaya 1927 1-0 Urrheddiao
The potent United offense cannot find the back of the net against SC Surabaya, and Urrheddiao continues to struggle in the Group Stage of the AOCL after doing so well in the Globe Cup Group Stage.
Matchday 18
Felswyr 2–1 Umbar
Urrheddiao 3–0 Z'ai'ai
Pùr 1–1 Eyrods
Anomalies 0–1 Deprí Sanar
Wirr Tsi 2–3 Myana
Alnio 3–5 Chromatik
Felswyr's rise continues with a narrow win over a recently pesky Umbar, Collas continuing her recent form of brilliance. While Urrheddiao continue to put Z'ai'ai in its place of mediocrity, Metod stops Pùr from maintaining its current lead, holding the Riders to a narrow draw. Deprí Sanar's late rise, coupled with the Dragana game-winner against Wirr Tsi and the Capitalizt beatdown of Alnio has allowed the Yellow Jackets to vault to ninth and put the Shock and Union in a tie for tenth place. It's not where the Yellow Jackets wanted to be at the start of the season, but perhaps they can make a second half run.
Atlantian Oceania Champions' League Group Stage Match 3
Cedina Beach AFC 1-0 Urrheddiao
Another unfortunate one goal loss in the AOCL for Urrheddiao keeps them mired in last place. Why is it that when it comes to the AOCL they cannot score anything?
Matchday 19
Alnio 1–1 Felswyr
Chromatik 4–1 Wirr Tsi
Myana 1–1 Anomalies
Deprí Sanar 1–0 Pùr
Eyrods 1–0 Urrheddiao
Z'ai'ai 1–0 Umbar
Uh... This wasn't supposed to happen. The big winners this matchday are Chromatik and the Yellow Jackets. Chromatik employed a scoring spree from Duo Dynamique to pounce on Wirr Tsi while the Jackets defeated Pùr and Eyrods handled Urrheddiao's attack to cause the race to become a bit tighter well into the second half of the season. To that end, Myana's draw with Anomalies would suffice for Akira Eld's side. Z'ai'ai's Pesciano scored in the seventieth for the home side in a game that they needed to win while Felswyr's Pellegrini and Clementi continued to show the league their form by drawing with Alnio despite conceding an early goal.
Atlantian Oceania Champions' League Group Stage Match 4
Urrheddiao 1-3 Cedina Beach AFC
Although Urrheddiao finally manages to score a goal in the AOCL, they lose to the Turori side handily in the second half. It seems like a Group Stage exit for Urrheddiao here.
Matchday 20
Felswyr 0–0 Z'ai'ai
Umbar 1–7 Eyrods
Urrheddiao 0–0 Deprí Sanar
Pùr 1–1 Myana
Anomalies 1–0 Chromatik
Wirr Tsi 2–0 Alnio
Felswyr is the new Z'ai'ai, at least for this season. Timely goals, solid defense. Pellegrini has shown class even in the face of constant pressure and it was the same story against the Mountaineers. The Riders have been struggling of late, no wins in the last four matchdays, but holding Myana to a draw at home is still a step forward, especially when Urrheddiao gets held at home by a rejuvenated Deprí Sanar. Mason and Ebenzaher exchanging goals is nothing to be ashamed of. The Capitol Derby was decided in a controversial call against Stanimir that resulted in a free kick deep in the Capitalizt third converted by the impeccable Hackett. Alnio continues to fall, being victimized by Wirr Tsi; the win keeps the Shock in tenth and Alnio all the way back at eleventh. Umbar? Lowly Umbar conceded seven goals yet again, Eyrods being the aggressor this time and going to town.
Atlantian Oceania Champions' League Group Stage Match 5
Raynor City United 2-1 Urrheddiao
The return leg against the Vanorian club is not as nice for United, losing a tight affair late to fall even further to last place in their group.
Matchday 21
Wirr Tsi 1–1 Felswyr
Alnio 6–3 Anomalies
Chromatik 0–0 Pùr
Myana 1–1 Urrheddiao
Deprí Sanar 2–1 Umbar
Eyrods 0–4 Z'ai'ai
Alnio isn't going down quietly, it seems. Braces from three different players lead them to a victory over Anomalies, who looked absolutely stunned after that outbreak of goals. Felswyr continues to not lose, finding the equalizer from Prince. Pùr doesn't win for the fifth game in a row but Stabler keeps Capitalizt at bay. The problem is Urrheddiao can't catch up, Myana hanging on for the draw at the Island Dome, leaving three teams in second place. Umbar's quest for their first victory of the season almost ends, but Roel's goal finds the back of the net two minutes in injury time and the Yellow Jackets inch closer to eighth place instead. Currently occupying that eighth place is the Mountaineers, who deflated Eyrodi sails with a four-nil drubbing at The Jungle. The Cats seem to live and die by the sword.
Atlantian Oceania Champions' League Group Stage Match 6
Urrheddiao 0-1 SC Surabaya 1927
And that was the entire story of the AOCL for Urrheddiao - so many one-goal losses see them out in last place, only managing one point from Raynor City United.
Matchday 22
Felswyr 1–2 Eyrods
Z'ai'ai 0–2 Deprí Sanar
Umbar 3–1 Myana
Urrheddiao 1–0 Chromatik
Pùr 1–5 Alnio
Anomalies 0–0 Wirr Tsi
Whoa. There are some loud voices being raised tonight in triumph. First, in Umbar, where the Monkeys overcame a deficit to win their first game of the season, against Myana of all teams. The Monkeys finally showed their high-pressure attack style and controlled the game against the Islanders, a showing that Eld apologized for afterwards. In Alnio, where they handed Pùr a surprising loss at home, Stabler being marked by five goals in his worst showing, while five different Union players find the back of the net. In Urrheddiao, where Jarequi showed his growth by putting a beautiful goal past Sang to put United on par with the Riders. Felswyr's recent form came to an end against the Jungle Cats, whose mood changes game to game, while the Yellow Jackets take over eighth place from reeling Z'ai'ai, and Anomalies blow a prime opportunity to gain ground by being held to without a goal by the Shock, at Anomaly Tower of all places.
Matchday 23
Anomalies 1–0 Felswyr
Pùr 7–1 Wirr Tsi
Urrheddiao 0–1 Alnio
Umbar 0–1 Chromatik
Z'ai'ai 0–1 Myana
Eyrods 5–1 Deprí Sanar
For the third time this season, the Riders score seven goals in a game, a ridiculous feat. Perhaps more ridiculous is that they haven't scored the most number of goals, as that belongs to the Islanders. That being said, the destruction of the Shock at home was a nasty affair as well as their first win in a while. Anomalies keep pace of the rest of the top pack with a defeat of Felswyr while Chromatik and Myana do the same against Umbar and Z'ai'ai respectively, all one-nil affairs that bore fruit because Urrheddiao dropped a home match to the Union, Heher scoring the magnificent set piece goal to keep three teams tied for second with third place only one point back. The Jackets catch the Cats on an "on" day, and pay the price - Metod & Deleon leading the Cats to five goals.
Matchday 24
Felswyr 1–1 Deprí Sanar
Myana 1–0 Eyrods
Chromatik 1–2 Z'ai'ai
Alnio 1–3 Umbar
Wirr Tsi 1–3 Urrheddiao
Anomalies 1–4 Pùr
Umbar earns their second win of the season, a disappointment for Alnio, whose momentum of defeating Urrheddiao got snuffed. Felswyr and the Yellow Jackets seemed to play for the tie in the second half as both teams didn't attack much and defended well. United bounce back with a solid win over the Shock, but the Riders also gather a win off the hands of Anomalies, which leaves them on top for now. The signing of Bellarose has helped both him and Mason immensely in the now potent Rider attack. Chromatik's ploy to join Urrheddiao and Myana for second place - Myana having defeated Eyrods with an early Velasquez strike - is foiled by Z'ai'ai, Montague's brace ending that dream despite Maradiga's first strike.
Standings after Twenty-Four Games:
League Chromatiks 1 Pld W D L GF GA GD PtsPùr - despite having dropped a lot of points of late - are still in the lead, though not by as much as they used to. No fewer than four teams chase them, only seven points behind. Felswyr and Eyrods are playing beyond their level, while the Mountaineers and Yellow Jackets are trying to survive. Umbar - despite winning two games in the last eight - still seem destined to go crashing out in their first time up from the League Chromatiks 2.

League Chromatiks 2 Standings after Twenty-Four Games:
League Chromatiks 2 Pld W D L GF GA GD PtsThe Lorentine Lions and Crossroads Crusaders are on top for now, Crossroads relying on its excellent defense to do so. Deprí Lanar are still in the mix, while Pria have bounced back into fifth place; things are comprehensibly a lot tighter here, but Shantarr and Lhor are still yet in the bottom.
