Presenting the Antarctic Forum, the largest indoor arena by seating capacity in regular use in the Fleftic Basketball Association

At 60,084 official stated capacity, the Antarctic Forum in Uranium City, Fleftic Antarctica Province is the largest indoor arena by seating capacity in regular use in the Fleftic Basketball Association. This means that the Antarctic Forum is the official home stadium of the Uranium City Nukes, four-time champions of the FBA, and the Nukes play all 41 of their home games at "the Forum". The Fleftic Arena, which has an official capacity of over 100,000, is the largest indoor stadium overall in Abanhfleft, but since it is only used time to time as the home stadium of the Riuwiee Presidents, it is not the Presidents' regular home stadium and therefore is not eligible for the honor currently held by the Antarctic Forum.

The Antarctic Forum was one of eight stadia used by Abanhfleft when the country hosted the 20th Handball World Cup, playing host to six group stage games, one Round of 16 game and one quarterfinal game in the aforementioned competition. Therefore it's fair to say that the Forum has some experience in handling international competitions. If selected as the final venue for the XVIII IUBC Trophy, this will be the second time that Abanhfleft has played host to the competition after the Fleftic Arena hosted the final of the XII IUBC Trophy.

Procedural Notes

• Carloburgo Knights (VLD) have been entered to the group stage of this edition, despite the association not submitting its entries.
• The late entries of Lisander and Bolgano were accepted.
• The entries of Velestria (VLZ) are rejected as no evidence of existence was presented to the committee after officials tried to roll call each association.
• Equestrian States has been renamed Equestria, retaining its association/nation code.

IUBC Trophy

• 24 teams directly enter the group stage - The champions or the highest placed teams of each submitted association (17 total), the titleholder of the IUBC Trophy (1 total), and the second placed teams of the six highest ranked associations entered in the tournament with 3 or more teams (6 total).
• The remainder of the spots will be determined by the qualifying rounds. The next four second placed teams will be placed in the playoff round. The remaining teams will start in the qualifying round.

Host Voting
The committee received two host bids, however, one bid failed to reach the committee due to stupidity from a Filindostani courier. The concerned bid was well compensated by IUBC and its sponsors, and criminal charges were filed against the courier. Due to what transpired, the other bid was awarded the hosting rights of the IUBC, in The Metropolitan Bearden Pyramid in Bearden, Middlebrook, Xanneria, which IUBC will visit for the first time.

In the IUBC's return to Esportiva, defending champions Carloburgo Knights had a nightmare playoffs after just squeaking into the field, losing all their games into a 16th place finish, which both teams from Valanora and Equestrian States took advantage to defeat their opponents one by one, with Seaddle Subsonics dispatching the defending champions in the Round of 16, and Valanari Highlanders facing them in the final meant that there will be a no new winner of the IUBC in the Filindostan era.

It was the Seaddle Subsonics' turn to win the IUBC Trophy for the second time in their history, keeping the game close and winning by a five point margin against their Vanorian opponents.

Guidelines for Entry in IUBC XIX

• Each nation is entitled to three entries, with their champion listed first. Please follow the format for submission in the OP.
• Seaddle Subsonics (EQS) automatically qualify for the group stages of the IUBC Trophy. If they qualify as the league champions / highest placed team of Equestria, the group stage spot for the league champions will be vacated.
• As Equestria is currently a part of a multiassociational league (REBL), should the team fail to qualify via league standing, the following scenarios may apply:
  
  • If there are three (or more) teams ahead of Seaddle Subsonics in league placing, they will automatically be allotted the fourth spot from Equestria, with maximum two spots to be filled by other associations.
  • If Crystal Empire (or other association which is part of the REBL) submits four entries with sporting merit, Equestria will get an additional spot.
• Multiassociational leagues are entitled to six entries, with at most four from one nation.

Hosting the Playoffs

• Participating nations are entitled to bid for hosting the playoffs of the IUBC Trophy. Please follow the details in the OP. Further detail is strongly encouraged.
• As the host of the previous edition's playoffs, Xanneria will not be eligible to bid for the hosting of the playoffs.
• Bidding nations are reminded that their submitted bid will not only host the final four but the entire playoffs including the classification games.
• If there are no bids received, the host venue will be defaulted to Ismart Anetta Coliseum, San Marco, Filindostan.

Deadline for entries for the nineteenth edition of the IUBC is on Thursday, March 26, 2020, 11:55 PM (UTC+8).
