Toiletdonia bid (ready to find a co-host)

Postby Toiletdonia » Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:50 pm

The seniors cup. Glamour football false teeth and bingo. With the first one over and Toiletdonia hosts and champs the second one now hangs in the balance. Warkus Eastfiled lodge and Burchadinger have all offered to host the second. So why us well I'm here to answer that.

Scoreination
NSfootysim 2.0.7 the latest edition as used to scorinate world cup 14-50.

Us
Toiletdonia hasn't had much hosting experience until now. They have hosted the Seniors cup one and they have their own football league which runs on a two week time table.

Stadia

Name: TIIA (Toiletdonia intenational indoor arena)
Location: Lavatorian City
Capacity: 35,500
Year built: 90
Info: Built to host all the indoor sports. The Toiletdonian over 50's toiletdonia league which happen once a year.

Name: Desert stadia
Location: Vatalors
Capacity: 39,500
Year built: 79
Info: Built to host football in the desert in the summer when the heat is unbearable. It is currently home to Vatalors football club.

Name: Youth street
Location: Leas
Capacity: 41,500
Year built: 81
Info: Built to host indoor sports for Leas uni. Has hosted the Toiletdonia tennis league and the University battmiton league.

Name: The bowl
Location: Toileten
Capacity: 42,000
Year built: 62
Info: I was supposed to be a swimming pool but the designer mucked it up and now the Toiletdonian swimming leagues are hosted in a lake.

Name: The bog
Location: Moore
Capacity: 52,250
Year Built: 90
Info: Built for a football club that didn't excist. So they used it to throw rubbish in then used it for over 80's world cup same thing.

Umm... that it.

Not a mistake that happens with accurate running of NSFS.

FYI, this is not true, there have been a handful of recent World Cups that NSFS was not used. Another popular program is Xkoronate, which has been used a few times in recent cups, as well as Cafundeu's well-developed spreadsheet forumla.

I forgot to turn off the randomize option so I had to scoreinate games one by one so I created the table so that was human error. Didn't know that!

I've just had this idea. For the next World Cup, we (as in me, Silver Beach and Toiletdonia, maybe Warkus as well) could organize a league to be played through the friendlies. Responses please!

What are some excel scorinators I can use for my domestic league? I can do random for first season, but I want something like a ranking system to use for my future seasons, especially for the domestic cup.

How would we organize the league? Would it be something like WCQ?
Also I just thought of a format for the Cup. Maybe we could get 16 teams, then get 4 groups of four, and do a home and away thing so it can be 6 matches each, then knockouts from final 8 onward hosted by the host.

No, what I meant was that the four of us could have a friendly league, like the Eternal Flame and the MSMT, so there would be one matchday in each friendly slot.
And for the cup format, that depends on how many signups we get next edition.

That's something for afterwards, but consider this a sign-up.
Oh, and you might want to say in the topic title that the signups are open, or just start a separate thread, and we do still need to decide the hosts.

Okay but what should we call it? Sign-ups open for it:

(1/???)

Toiletdonia

That's something for afterwards, but consider this a sign-up.
Oh, and you might want to say in the topic title that the signups are open, or just start a separate thread, and we do still need to decide the hosts.

I will move it to wc 51 friendly's and I will host unless you guys are against it.

Can't host it as the same time as the world cup! That's a death sentance!

Good point, considering we're all in the Cup of Harmony. So the next edition is after the WC finishes (I mean that's when we'll start sign-ups). As for the Friendly League, it's only going to have three (or four) people in it; me, you, Silver Beach (and Warkus).

OK, that sounds good. But shouldn't signups start towards the end of the world cup?
