[The Royal Kingdom of Quebec]

Hello all. After many years of absence, volleyball has its own newswire in active service. Welcome to the International Domestic Volleyball Newswire Thread.

The IVF, or International Volleyball Federation, is the highest body of domestic and international volleyball clubs, headquartered in the city of Montreal, in Royal Kingdom of Quebec. The IVF is in charge of organising 2 championships: Volleyball Champions League (VCL) and WorldLeague. The Volleyball Champions League is open to the top 2 clubs of the nation's domestic volleyball league and will be, for the time, played in one venue submitted. The WorldLeague is only open to the national team of your nation's volleyball association and will be played in one venue submitted.

When it comes to scorinating volleyball, the latest version of Xkoranate will be used for the time being.

A maximum of one puppet, and two nations overall, from a user will be allowed to enter the competition in a season. There'll be no restrictions on number of teams for the puppet.

Entries for these two competitions are to be formatted as followed:

Host bids for each competition finals may be made in a separate box as shown below. Bids for the Volleyball Champions League must have a seating capacity of at least 9,000, while bids for the WorldLeague must have a seating capacity of at least 10,000. In both cases, a host city, in which the stadium is located, must be announced as well. Here's an example of final site bids:

Sampleton Coliseum is home to the 1093 Sampleton. Well-known as the "Margaret's Volleyball Crib", it is one of the oldest arenas in the nation still used for volleyball. It plays host to the 1093 Sampleton's Volleyball, Basketball and Handball teams, as well as its university teams. Sampleton is well known as the volleyball capital of the Samplestan, as well as the key producer of Samplestan's duck meat.

Located in the scenic mountain town of Crisper Hills, in the southeast corner of Frenline Delpha, Chucklebee Meats Coliseum is home to the Carter-Freeman University Vultures. The teams nickname is the Lady Vols, and they wear orange and white. The arena held the FDCVC Championships last year, and it is fairly new. It has been in action for about 6 years, and it is considered one of the best arenas in Frenline Delpha. The floor design is seen frequently on Carter-Freeman University sporting arenas. Crisper Hills is just a mile away from Port Peak, with scenic roads, and old fashion mom-and-pop stores. It is the fifteenth largest city in Frenline Delpha.

Coliseo Mayor de Valladares is, as its name says, Valladares' main coliseum, and is located in the nation's capital Metropolis. It plays host to LSB (basketball) side Metropolis Eagles and starting from this season, VLV team CVB Metrópolis is also calling this arena as its home. It was also the main venue for the most recent International Basketball Championships, hosting Group A games as well as the four games in the final series between Vangaziland and the Andromeda Islands, won by the latter.

For the 2nd edition of the VCL and WorldLeague, here are the things to take note of:

• The VCL accepts the maximum of two clubs, one of which must be a domestic champion (or the highest placed team in multiassociational leagues) per association. Maximum of one puppet association can be entered. Multiassociational leagues involving two or more associations shall have a maximum of four entrants, with each association entering no more than two entries.
• The WorldLeague accepts one national team per nation. Maximum of one puppet national team can be entered.

For the 2nd edition of the VCL and WorldLeague, here are the things to take note of. It is important to check this, because of changes following the updates and new addition (!!!) of the World Beach Volleyball Championships :

• For the Volleyball Champions League, the number of teams allowed is determined according to association coëfficients, with the following distribution:
  
  • Associations ranked 1-2 (Royal Kingdom of Quebec) are allowed to enter three teams.
  • Associations ranked 3rd and below are allowed to enter two teams.
• For World Beach Volleyball Championships, two pairs per association will be accepted. Maximum of one puppet association can be entered, with full 2 pairs allowed for them as well.Multiassociational leagues involving two or more associations shall have a maximum of four entrants, with each association entering no more than two entries.
• The WorldLeague accepts one national team per nation. Maximum of one puppet national team can be entered.

Located in the scenic mountain town of Crisper Hills, in the southeast corner of Frenline Delpha, Chucklebee Meats Coliseum is home to the Carter-Freeman University Vultures. The teams nickname is the Lady Vols, and they wear orange and white. The arena held the FDCVC Championships last year, and it is fairly new. It has been in action for about 6 years, and it is considered one of the best arenas in Frenline Delpha. The floor design is seen frequently on Carter-Freeman University sporting arenas. Crisper Hills is just a mile away from Port Peak, with scenic roads, and old fashion mom-and-pop stores. It is the fifteenth largest city in Frenline Delpha.

Volleyball in Banija is played largely in the Moravica Region. The Banija Elite Volleyball League, as organized by Volleyball Banija(VB), is located entirely in the Moravica region. 4 teams play in Herzegovina City, while the other 4 teams play in the City of Istria, which is the nation's largest city and the Moravica regional capitol.

In the regular season, teams only play teams within their own division. They play each team within their division 4 times, twice at home and twice away from home.

Franklin Indoor Stadium is named after Jeremiah Franklin, the man who founded Loyola University @ Istria. The stadium is owned & operated by Loyola, which is a large, Puritan Mormon University, located in Downtown Istria which happens to be the dominant religion within Banija. The stadium primarily is the home of Loyola gymnastics, Loyola volleyball, and Loyola basketball. Various city sports teams have used the arena as a practice/game facility, and the arena also hosts Moravica Regional high school championships, as well as the home games of the Central Istria Stallions.

Procedural Notes

• All the entries were accepted.
• Due to CSKA Quebec having 2 teams (though of different genders) qualified for the VCL, when there's only one spot allocated for them, Volleyball Quebec has allowed Shawinigan Skywalkers to join in addition to Ottawa VZsoft Hawks.
• It is widely advised to all contestants to post national team entries for WorldLeague, should one plan to have the club teams play in VCL for next cutoff. Ritenour's signups were accepted, but in future different cases will be made.

Final Site Selection

Four volleyball associations expressed interest in hosting either WorldLeague or Volleyball Champions' League, and eventually submitted the required paperwork within the deadline. With there being conflicts for which bid to vote on, the election of the venue for this year's competitions was expected to be very competitive and controversial.

For three bidders associated with the WorldLeague competitions (Unified Sunrise Islands, Kitsunia-Deese and Frenline Delpha), the delegates were given one specific mission. With Royal Kingdom of Quebec huge into fencing, the committee decided to have each delegation challenge to a round-robin bout of sabre with each other and the organising committee.

6 bouts and 69 hours later (because they only had one piste reserved in National Fencing Centre), we managed to receive the results:

With Frenlinian delegation performing the best out of all 3 hosting delegations, Chucklebee Meats Coliseum, Crisper Hills, Frenline Delpha (Capacity: 12,250) will host the WorldLeague matches from Quarterfinals.

In the meanwhile, three bidders interested in Volleyball Champions' League competitions (Kitsunia-Deese, Unified Sunrise Islands, Banjia), the delegates ended up on a task even more challenging: 7 runs of ski jumping on the Mont-Charmante (3,705 metres high) up in Labrador province, the Northeastern part of the country. With the ski resort and jumping centre around 1,890 metres high, they have to be extra careful on making sure not to fall and die, or receive serious injuries.

With the exception of Delegate BBB, whose names were covered from public due to exposure matters especially considering that he's severely injured after the last run, all the delegates have somehow survived the challenge well. With that being said the chosen stadium, based on the results, for the Volleyball Champions League II was Stade de Forest, Kitsunia-Deese (Capacity: 15,000).

As for the World Beach Volleyball Championships, since there was no bid by any delegation, it will be hosted in the IVF default venue of Mariana Beach, California City, Royal Kingdom of Quebec (Capacity: 10,930).

Congratulations to Royal Kingdom of Quebec for dethroning New Gelderland from the WorldLeague summit and Lexington Torch for its successful title defence for Volleyball Champions League. A separate congratulation also is given to Jeanna Proudfoot/Lydia Proudfoot pair from New Gelderland for their victory in inaugural World Beach Volleyball Championship. Last, but not least, thanks to all nations and their teams who made this tournament possible.


For the 3rd edition of the VCL and WorldLeague, For the Volleyball Champions League, the number of teams allowed is determined according to association coëfficients, with the following distribution:

• Associations ranked 1-2 (New Gelderland, Royal Kingdom of Quebec) are allowed to enter three teams.
• Associations ranked 3rd and below are allowed to enter two teams.
• For World Beach Volleyball Championships, two pairs per association will be accepted. Maximum of one puppet association can be entered, with full 2 pairs allowed for them as well.Multiassociational leagues involving two or more associations shall have a maximum of four entrants, with each association entering no more than two entries.
• The WorldLeague accepts one national team per nation. Maximum of one puppet national team can be entered.
• Associations interested to bid for the final site of the next VCL/WorldLeague/WBVC shall post their arena bid with a format similar to that of the UICA, as have stated in the OP. If there are no bids received, then the default venue will remain to be in Colisee de Quebec, Quebec City, Royal Kingdom of Quebec for VCL/WorldLeague and Mariana Beach, California City, Royal Kingdom of Quebec.
