FLEFTIC PREMIER LEAGUE BEGINS NOW; ARSENAL DE RELEINTHI SHOCKED AT HOME 3-2 BY MARINOS THIMPODOPOULOS

RELEINTHI, ABANHFLEFT - The Fleftic Premier League has finally started, and Arsenal de Releinthi's title defense has got off to a rocky start as newly promoted Marinos Thimpodopoulos came and showed that they are going to be a potential powerhouse in this season's league.

It didn't look that way in the first twenty minutes, with Arsenal mounting a credible offense even without the services of Godzilla, who was being rested on the bench following the end of the 2015 Copa America for the Brazilian international. Gal Tza'eer, playing as a lone striker for this game, nearly got the game opener when his shot from 20 yards struck the top of the crossbar. Ralph Dominguez also almost got the first goal of the game when he made a powerful header out of an Oleg Mostovoi corner, but Marinos' new keeper Svyatoslav Alkaev palmed the ball over the bar.

And then, to the surprise of all the home fans, it was Marinos who actually got the first goal of the game courtesy of Max Fetfatzidis, the Greek-born striker that led Liga Ikauna in goals scored during the Fhulghamous Peninsula-based side's capture of the Liga Ikauna title. Fetfatzidis struck the crossed ball from Alain L'Auvergne with the side of his right foot from an awkward position that nevertheless managed to catch Bradford Jones unawares and gave Fetfatzidis his first ever Premier League goal.

Marinos, sensing blood, went on the offensive while Arsenal sat back to contain the pressure from the visitors. But this proved inadequate as Marinos broke through once again and doubled their lead, this time thanks to Timur Markovic, who caught Jones out of position and slotted home the ball calmly and almost emotionlessly.

Coming into the second half, Arsenal found themselves on the back foot, a position they certainly did not expect to be in when they went into this match. And the team that came onto the pitch in this second half was a far cry from the side that had won both the Fleftic Premier League and the Multiverse Conference title in the same season. When their passing and play was once sublime and a joy to watch, now those same qualities have become abrupt, jarring and to be a little partial, a complete eyesore. And Marinos took this to their advantage and stuck the dagger deeper into the defending champions' side with Friedemann Aleshire netting a header from a Marvin Sanderson long ball.

Godric Wexler, now apparently on the verge of a panic attack, brought on Godzilla despite the Brazilian not being planned to play for the club until at least two weeks into the season. Godzilla brought into the game his classic high-energy and high-tempo style of play, and he bagged a brace in the last ten minutes of the game to at least not give Marinos the satisfaction of a clean sheet against the defending champions, but it was too little too late, and Arsenal de Releinthi started their title defense campaign with a loss which consequences will surely reverberate throughout the rest of the season.

Arsenal manager Godric Wexler had this to say: "We became too confident of ourselves, and that cost us the game. We had expected to deal with Marinos easily, but they turned the tables on us and disposed of us easily."

When asked how this will affect the mentality of the team, he said: "We will have to carry the specter of this loss through the first few weeks of the new season. Until we get the results we want and need, we will be looking back at this moment and see what will happen if we don't work for our victory."

Marinos manager Orestes Katsouranis Jr. meanwhile was all praises for his team. "It's not every day that you see a promoted team deal the defending champions such a humiliation, and we managed to do it against Arsenal de Releinthi, one of the best teams in the country and in the multiverse. We played well, they played sloppy, and we took advantage, and that's why we got all three points today."

Chris Manstorm reports

Seven years ago, on vacation to Schottia visiting his daughter and her family, Martin Ronsberg was inspired to take a video. The Vyrsarn was so impressed by the footballing talent of his two eight-year-old grandchildren, that he became convinced they would make it to the top as professional players one day. So while the children played a bounce game during a training session, Ronsberg set up his home video camera and captured a small segment of the game. He then sent the video of Johannas and Melanie Ünterhausen to every team in the Schottic Premier League, in order that it be brought to the attention of their scouting networks.

What was understandingly dismissed as the pride and over-sentimentality of a doting grandfather, quickly found the litterbins of the SPL club offices. Nineteen bins out of twenty that was, because one man, Max Pante of FC Döllar, a Stalker Bay club, watched the whole ten-minute clip from start to finish. Pante was a young man, yet despite his tender years he had been associated with the club for a long time. Having his career cut short at the age of twenty-four, he had decided to go into sports science and then coaching, finally being appointed head scout at Döllar ages thirty-three. Watching the video closely, he was taken aback by the pace and close control of the twins, given their tender age. Even in the park playing along side other children their ability stood out a mile.

A few weeks later, after showing the video to then manager Robert Laintmann, the Ünterhausen twins were called in for a trial and subsequently signed to youth set-up of the small North Island club. For a club of Döller's size, their capture was quite a coup, as the team playing to gates of around 3,000 a week now had two of the country's most promising players on their books.

Johannas and Melanie were inseparable as they progressed through the system at Döllar, continuing to compete with on another on who could reach which milestone first. Despite their age, the Ünterhausens were always a stage ahead of everyone else in their age group. It was no surprise to anyone at the club, therefore, when Johanna made his debut for the first team at the age of fifteen, making him the youngest player to appear for the club. Although on this occasion it was little brother who gained the bragging rights, nothing can be taken away from Melanie, who by that stage was scoring regularly in the reserves. Although there has been a movement towards mixed gender football in the SPL, it was still remarkable that such a young woman was playing in the second XI of a league dominated by men.

The competition between the two continued, and a club like Döller was never going to be big enough to hold on to such prodigious talent for long. At the end of last season Johannas was subject of a transfer NS$ 3.6 million to Real Chinchinhua in Taeshan, where he will hope to make an impact at a much higher level fairly soon. Following him to the exit door three weeks later was his sister, signing for Christopherian side the Kelsy Merchants in a NS$ 1.2 million move. Melanie has since made several appearances from the bench, finding her self on the score sheet on more than one occasion.

With both siblings having now been called up to the U-18 squad, for the trip to the Free Republics, there is plenty of opportunity for this friendly rivalry to develop further, hopefully to the benefit of the team as a whole. This will be the first time that Schottia have competed at this level, as regionally the normal age brackets are under-17 then under-19, so there will be added interest back home...

'Shall I continue?' Asked Melanie, looking up from the article and over at her brother who was sitting fiddling with the plane's drinks tray, which refused to sit how he wanted it. 'You don't exactly look enthralled.'

As they sat on the flight from Schottia to the Toakameau, the Ünterhausens were dressed in their team tracksuits. Both Melanie and Johanna were tall, with dark almost raven hair, and slightly olive completions. Melanie's hair hung around her shoulder in loose ringlets, where as her brother had a classic cut with side parting. The stay in the Republic of Falatulu could be a potential pitfall for some of the other members of the squad, with the tendency of one or two of them to partake in underage drinking. The twins on the other hand had no such difficulty in avoiding these temptations as their dedication to the sport was bordering on fanaticism. From the description available to the players, Falatulu had sounded rather like Schottia's regional neighbours Gylias, this had led to a few sly looks being exchanged between the players. Undoubtedly several had thought there was ample scope to sneak in a bit of a holiday while they were out there.

'Nah, keep going.' Said Johannas finally getting the clip exactly where he wanted it. 'I'm listening, just not looking at you.'

'I'm not reading it if your not looking.' Melanie through the folded up paper on her brother's lap. 'Read it yourself. That's just rude.' She crossed her legs and turned away from him, resting her chin on her knuckles like a petulant three-year-old.

'Aw Mel, don't be like that eh?' Johannas rattled the newspaper off the top of her head in a playful way. 'You're so trivial sometimes.'

'I'll give you trivial...' With that she snatched the paper back off of Johannas before cracking it around his head, and then inserting it back into the compartment in front of them. 'Anyway we can read it later, lets just change the subject. So what do you think our chances are?' Melanie asked this last part in a somewhat rhetorical manner. Both she and her brother had a confidence, which was tantamount to arrogance.

'All I'm going to say is this.' Replied Johannas with a smirk. 'The rest of the side better not spoil my moment to shine. This is going to be the making of me. Good string of performances here, starting line up in the Di Bradini Cup thirty-five... I'll be in the senior side before my seventeenth birthday.'

To anyone else this attitude would have seemed rotten, selfish, and out of the sprit of team-sports, however to Melanie it was one that she could relate to. Being told your entire life that you are better than everyone else eventually had an affect of your world outlook. Both teenagers measured success by the same thing; personal honour and self-advancement.

Melanie laughed in affirmation of her brother’s assertion. 'Yeah, I'm looking forward to putting Gregoryisgodistan to the sword. The higher the ranking the harder the fall. The other two matches will be pretty straight forward I can only imagine.' She yanked the now mangled baton of newsprint from its place down by her legs. 'Now shall I finish the article?'

Captain, Assistant Coach split on Havenic hooliganism
Havenssport

Demit Cronan has threatened to walk out of preparations for the Sporting World Cup if Queen Laura's proposals for controlling Havenic Hooliganism are adopted. The player-coach, 26, who currently serves of Commander-General of both United and Metropolitan and Havenic national rioting armies claimed the move to restrict the activities of his 'troops' were a 'direct affront to Havenic Culture.' The Striker, who scored 25 goals last year for U&M, called attempts to ban this sort of action 'an attempt to smuther our culture under a blanket of international acceptance.' Cronan also vowed to encourage known rioters to purchase tickets for the Sporting World Cup, however he gave his usual (kept) promise that games without the Haven's participation would not face disruption.

However Queen Laura of Celeria, Captain of the under-18 squad, has called Cronan's attitude 'short-sighted, arrogant and counterproductive,' and that limiting their actions would be the first step to securing Havenic acceptance at all sporting events.

Great Inn Hotel
Sayo Matsuoka
Republica, Free Republics

After returning from morning practice Sayo decided against exploring the city of Republica. It was not that she wasn't curious of her surroundings but her body was telling her to rest and she was going to listen. Maybe it was just her instinct as a veteran member of this team, she was certainly not the oldest player on the team but she was among the players on this inaugural U-18 squad who is on the national team. The position of oldest player and team leader went to Left-Back Koharu Miyamoto.

Koharu was a former track runner who was recruited to play football and fell in love with the sport. She was amongst the new generation of national team players and while the media didn't mention her much, Sayo knew she was on the starting lineup for a reason and Koharu proved herself with a clutch goal against Stvoto Latoli. It also wasn't that she wasn't good enough to start on the nation team, it was just hard to do it when the future of the team Joseph Yabuta was one of the strikers she had to compete with. Nevertheless she was currently on her bed watching the local sports channel when she heard a knock on the door. Sayo sighed for a bit and then groaned in laziness before making her way to the door. Sayo looked into the key hole and saw it was her fellow striker Aoi Fujioka.

Sayo opened the door and let him in. "So what brings you here Fujioka-san? I mean aren't you going to be exploring the city like the rest of the team?" Sayo asked curiously. Aoi shook his head. "Matsuoka-san you are a year older than me and we are sharing the field together but you are on a Konami Premier League Team. So if you think it's wise to rest I might as well do it too. And beside I was hoping you could tell me what it is like to be a pro or playing in World Cup qualifiers?" Aoi replied.

Sayo smiled "Aoi you already are starting along side me so just play your game and you should get a contract in Kirishima or aboard easy. However I can tell you a few stories about my young career, if you rather hear about my boring life instead of this programing?" Sayo stated sarcastically. Aoi stood up and turned off the t.v and smiled. "I want to hear the boring story sensei!" Aoi responded. Sayo smiled this competition was going to be interesting on and off the pitch.

Baseton
Armeia team hotel

Marc-Andre sighed as he followed the rest of the team back from practice. Something about this place irked him but he couldn't put a finger on what it was exactly, and he hadn't done good in practice because of it.

"Hey, you want to go out to eat?" asked Draga, putting a hand on his arm.

"Not hungry," he said simply, shaking his head. "I think I'm gonna go to bed early tonight."

"What's wrong?" Draga replied, surprised that he'd rejected her offer.

"I don't feel very good," Marc-Andre admitted. "And being in a foreign country isn't helping much. Something about this hotel bothers me."

"Are you having some kind of post war PTSD?" Draga asked, knowing he had fought in an urban area in the Seven Day War.

Marc-Andre shook his head."It's not like that. It has more to do with how foreign everything feels. I can't even wear our national crest here without getting insulted on the streets. And the pressure's finally getting to me."

"If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you."

"I know... I'll be fine," insisted, Marc-Andre, running to catch up with the others.

-----

Hugo was regretting tagging along with Augustus and Bianka, because it turned out he was only there to act as a third wheel. He knew Augustus felt bad for him because of his young age, with him being the youngest on the team and all, but he would have rather stayed back at the hotel if he knew things were going to turn out like this.

After what seemed like hours of flirting between him and Bianka, Augustus decided it was time to head back, and Hugo was thankful. They got there in time to find the others gathered outside, on one of the pitches next to the hotel, playing a very competitive, very fast match of Armeian Street Football, also known as Blitzball. In this game, there weren't rules on contact, and kicks, grabs, and strong arm moves were entirely legal.

"Hey Lenz, you want to sub in for me?" asked Katarina, who was playing for the team dressed in white.

"Sure thing," Augustus said, taking his place on the wing. He quickly received the ball and flicked it over his head, shoving Gregor Borg out of the way and passing it to the opposite wing where Irene was waiting. "Shoot it, Dres!" he shouted, but she instead passed it back to Bianka, who had subbed on for Viktor.

Bianka took a rocket of a shot and it went into the goal, curling around Isa. She ran to Augustus in celebration, leaping into his arms. "Now I just have to do it in a real game," she laughed.

As the game wrapped up, a couple players looked notably pissed off. Mainly Isa and Urban. As everyone walked off the pitch, Augustus ran after them. "Hey, what's wrong?"

Isa sort of glared at him. "I'm never going to get to play in an actual game thanks to you," she said bluntly, turning and walking in the other direction.

Urban shrugged. "She's right, she's eighteen and still won't get to play because you took over in goal."

Something about that encounter stirred Augustus... Made him think of how even though he was the best, his actions were costing someone else on the team. "Yeah... I guess that's how the game works, everyone can't win."

He just hoped that in the end he would come out the big winner, not a rival.

Çíânflöné playing for Dí Maozóxê's youth team.

With the squad for the upcoming U-18 World Cup announced, it's only natural we give you a few rundowns of the most interesting players our team has to offer. The first player's not exactly unknown - any Dí Maozöxê fan will find it hard to stop raving about this kid. But some others might be.

Anyway, in the life-threatening, poverty-stricken, hellhole of Ruland, talented players abound. These players are easily distinguishable by their names. Ýôü knöw whät Í'm tâlkíng âbòút. Anyway, Täjó is one such player, sporting a name that is particularly confusing, as his surname about doubles the standard length.

Täjó is the cousin of wonderkid Fôrté Wínrôuge, as we mentioned in his summary. Wínrôuge's mother and Çíânflöné's father are siblings. Funnily enough, though, as some of you may already know, they play for rival teams: Fôrté wears Mâ Âlâmëómë's black and dark green, while Täjó wears Dí Maozöxê's blue and sky-blue.

The kid plays as a trequartista, also known as that fancy position not many football fans know. It was popularized in Farfadillis mostly thanks to Polarian legend Alexsandr van Sorensen. Seeing a trequartista at this guy's age is extremely uncommon, specially considering he's Rulandese. Most kids his age are not adept enough tactically for a specific role like that, and specially not Rulandese kids, as they're pure skill with no tactical knowledge, with few of them ever experiencing anything other than street football for at least ten years of their life. However, this guy is a genius at finding spaces and exploiting them, and Dí Maozöxê's youth coaches are no idiots.

His clinical eye for finding spaces is not his only asset though. His positioning makes him look like a veteran, though that goes hand in hand with his tactical awareness, while he's got impeccable speed, which enables him to make the most out of it. At the same time, he's got great technique and an acute sense of smell for scoring goals. Not to mention some pretty respectable precision with his finishing. His playmaking leaves a bit to be desired, which is a bit weird for a trequartista, but the guy still works just fine the way he is.

He's not without his faults, however. As expected of a trequartista, he doesn't track back, and that means he absolutely and thoroughly sucks defensively in every regard. He's not great at pressing defenders, either, and he's not in a great physical state if you ignore his speed. He's got bad stamina and he's not exactly strong.

Still, he'll probably start for the national team one day, if you ask me. His potential's got no ceiling. He's not quite as talented as his brother, but he's still one of those players that pop up a few times every generation. Yes, he's too young to be able to tell, but it's just very evident with this guy. Expect him to lead this Farf team alongside Jê Çìró, the other Dí Maozöxê wonderkid. Sadly for them, though, they let go of him in an uncharactertistic bout of short-sightedness, and now he's playing in a foreign country. His summary is up next. Or maybe Norrayola's. Or Tifoxé's. Maybe Êxís'? Or Lo Squadro's? Ribaurésilion's? Vhêrdê's? Maes'? Zâçârdí's? So many players who could become world class in the future...

Schottia 4-0 Acronius
IslandDome, Toakameau

Goals: 22" 36" Hunt, 63" L'Attue, 81" Hobbs (sch)
Possession: 58% - 42%
Shots: 14 - 6
On Target: 9 - 3

It was the strong start that everyone in the youth development programme back in Schottia was looking for. A smattering of fans and officials slid into Toakameau's 66,665 seater IslandDome, as the Skots proved too good for Acronius. A double from captain Boris Hunt along with second half goals from Caitlin L'Attue, and Jack Hobbs, gave Schottia's teenagers a commanding win over The Golden Cubs in their first match of the tournament.

The Schottic squad, based on the player selection, really looks like they are here meaning business, and it was the more experienced players who made their mark early on. Hunt, who has already made an impact with the U-21s and in the Taeshani league, was immense in the opening stages. The Laketown Rangers midfielder linked up well with fellow DBC players L'Attue and Johannas Ünterhausen to really boss the midfield.

Schottia didn't take long to get off the mark in this match, courtesy of a Hunt freekick on 22-minutes. Former Handon United and Campos Rovers midfielder Billy Cross did well to hold of the challenge of Joe Rollins, eventually finding space to square the ball to Aya Bernman. The 16-year-old then took the ball forward, dropping the shoulder to get past right-back Seth Orwell, before playing a cross-field pass to L'Attue. The D'Itille winger was then upended as she pulled the ball onto her left foot to set up Hobbs, Vladimir Koshkov, catching the highly rated youngster late. Stepping up to take the resulting freekick, Hunt curled the ball over the wall and in past the outstretched Gennadiy Kurakin, leaving the 17-year-old helpless.

Schottia did well to keep the attack minded Acronian players at bay, and were nearly tested four minutes later when captain Axel Aubry managed to outwit Grace Hallman. However when the youngster got a sight on goal, he pulled his shot wide, much to the relief of keeper Harry Gould.

Counter-attack and patient build-up would be the story of Schottia's match, and it was this once again, which resulted in their second goal. As before it was Hunt, receiving an Ünterhausen pass, who made his was forward with the ball. Using his strength, he rode the tackle of John Dahl, before unleashing a shot past Kurakin from the edge of the box for his second of the game. By this stage Schottia were looking by far the more composed side, and they duly heading up the tunnel at half time with a convincing lead.

Grant Nean's players started the second half in much the same way that they finished the first, with Bernman, Hunt, and L'Attue looking to hit the Acronian defence at any opertunity. The Skots worked hard to keep possession, however, it wasn't to be until the 63rd minute that their persistence paid off.

Collecting the ball just inside his own half, the squad's youngest player Johannas Ünterhausen played a long sweeping ball forward. The pass took most people by surprise except for L'Attue who was onto it like a flash. The teenager then showed fantastic pace to once again leave Vitaly Fyodorov for dead, rifling her shot low past Kurakin to give her side an unassailable lead.

Schottia rounded of the scoring ten minutes from the end when the other Ünterhausen, Melanie, showed that she wasn't going to let her younger brother have all the fun. The Kelsy Merchants attacker, on as a substitute for Cross, made a surging run down the right hand flank. The 15-year-old had options either side of her, however she opted to go it alone, slotting the ball into the feet of Hobbs at the last minute. The kid who helped Granton Vale to promotion then pulled the trigger, to seal a memorable first win in this age bracket.

The result will no doubt give Schottia an excellent chance of progressing from the group, while filling the players with a sense of confidence. Nean will be happy with the players who performed for him on the day, with some outstanding showings from the likes of Hunt, L'Attue, and Cross, who look very comfortable at this level. Schottia's next match is against Gregoryisgodistan, whose senior side reached the most recent world cup finals. There is no doubt that this will represent a tough game for the young White and Greens, and taking three points will be vital if they are to make the last-sixteen.

Line-up: Gould 7, Johnson 7, Hallman 6, Bishop7 , Prentice 6, L'Attue 8, Bernman 7 (65-M.Ünterhausen 7, Cross 8, Hunt 9, J. Ünterhausen 7 (78-Freute 6), Hobbs 8 (84-McCallum 4)

Man of the match: Hunt.Good performance by the North Islander, looks like a future star in the making.

SPORTING U-18 WORLD CUP: PATISTAN VS ABANHFLEFT

DORANTO, CONTORIA, FREE REPUBLICS - The Abanhfleft national under-18 team got off to a good start in the Sporting World Cup n the Free Republics today, and they most probably would have walked away with all three points had not a last-minute defensive mistake led to a Patistani goal in second half injury time.

Abanhfleft looked completely dominant for the duration of the game, and the Young Young Revolutionaries looked absolutely determined to emulate their compatriots in the senior and under-21 teams and become a dominant force in the under-18 football scene.

Abanhfleft had numerous chances to open up the scoring in the first half, the closest of them being Keira Smotherman's screamer from 22 yards that dinged the crossbar before sailing harmlessly into the stands. Kareem Dagen also almost managed to get his name on the score sheet as his shot sailed just wide and above of the Patistani keeper.

Things were more or less the same in the second half, with Abanhfleft on the attack and Patistan absorbing as much of the pressure as they could. But the pressure proved too much for the Patistanis, and Mabel Finnemark was able to poke in the ball that had rebounded from the Patistani keeper's hands after he had saved a shot from Lucjo Kleinmann. Finnemark, who had already tallied a goal for the under-21 side as a substitute, is showing yet more signs that she could become one of Abanhfleft's best youth players in the coming years.

The Young Young Revolutionaries had a chance to double their lead with substitute Annamarie Sabado's shot rolling wide of the mouth of goal to the relief of the Patistani defense, which had slipped up and allowed the youngster from the Arsenal de Releinthi Academy to get the shot.

And it was another defensive mistake that closed this game, but this time it was Abanhfleft's fault. Team captain Ainsley Gibson was trying to waste time in his own box but was only stripped of the ball by a Patistani forward, who then rushed for the goal and beat Ursula Qatintiki on the one-on-one and ending the match on a draw.

Before The Game
Baseton

"It's almost like home, isn't it?" chuckled Denzel Falk, pointing to the Armeian ultras who had made the trip, and had taken over the north end of the stadium.

"They don't care if it's U-18 or if it's the full senior team... We only care about winning," replied Augustus, pulling on his jersey and running out onto the pitch.

"Yeah, it's just surprising to see this place look so much like home, they've got the same banners and everything," said Denzel, following Augustus.

-----

The first real chance of the game came when Irene Dreschler fired a long cross over the top of the defensive line, which was caught by Draga Schraeder. Her heart racing, Draga switched the foot she was dribbling with and cut inside, sending a shot into goal with her heel.

"YES!" she shouted, running to the sideline and kicking the corner flag in celebration. The others crowded her too, amazed that they had scored ten minutes into the match.

When things started again, Southern had a new energy to them, which could be seen in everyone from the forwards to the managers to the bench players. The goal had been a taste of first blood of sorts, and everyone on the team wanted more.

-----

It was minute forty six, just after half time, and Marc-Andre Zupan had messed up big time by allowing a through ball to pass him. He also let the Jeckish forward he was marking run past him, and sighed as he realized he wouldn't be able to catch up.

Augustus leapt to save the shot but he only ricocheted it off the post and in. He punched the post in frustration, walking out of the box to yell at his back four. "What happened there?" he shouted, to nobody in particular. "You all know how to clear a through ball, no?"

"My fault," sighed Marc-Andre, raising his hand. "I'm still not feeling that well, sorry."

"Get your head in the game, or you may be the one to cost us the game," said Augustus, returning to his spot between the posts.

-----

It was the eightieth minute and things were still tied. Not for long. Denzel Falk won the ball at midfield and took it down the wing, pulling a rainbow flick move to get past the full back. He came close to the goal before tapping it in and ripping his shirt off in celebration.

Denzel allowed Joseph to lift him up in celebration, and he made a 2-1 gesture with his hands. Yes, Southern had life to them again, now that they had grabbed a likely winner, and they were determined to hold on until the end.

-----

It was stoppage time with less than a minute left, and Draga had a breakaway chance on the counter attack. She decided to take the shot from the top of the box, and it went into the upper corner perfectly.

The crowd went nuts, and Draga dashed over to the stand with the Armeian fans and leapt onto the barrier, leading the fans in a goal chant. The referee called full time but the whistle was drowned out by the sound of the crowd, as the Armeians ran to their fans to thank them for traveling so far to support them.

Augustus threw his shirt into the stands, and Katarina did the same as the vice captain, and as the others left, the two stayed behind for a bit. "You think we can actually win this thing?" asked Katarina, still surprised at the shock victory.

"Maybe. We have the talent if we're playing good and we don't have injuries, and we certainly have the support," replied Augustus. "I think if things go right in the group we can go all the way later."

Dennis Korba scores twice as Banija wins their opening game of the U18 Sporting World Cup 3-2

Captain Isaac Georgiadis celebrates the game's opening goal

DORANTO- Team captain Isaac Georgiadis scored the game's opening goal, and Dennis Korba scored twice in the 2nd half to lead Banija to a 3-2 win against Natanians & Nosts in the Sporting World Cup's opening game, and with Abanhfleft drawing Patistan 1-1, has moved Banija all the way to the top of the table. Banija controlled the flow and the pace of the game for the majority of the match, with Dennis Korba's two second half goals allowing the team to pull away against N & N in the second half. Even though an 87th minute penalty kick goal by Natanians & Nosts made it 3-2 with a few minutes left, they were not able to pressure for the remainder of the match, and Banija held on for its opening victory of the tournament.

The first half was almost perfectly evenly matched between both sides. It was marked by the game's first scoring opportunity in the 8th minute, when N & N's captain and striker North was able to get a long ball over the top of the Banijan back line, and 14 year old Lucas Álvarus César had a golden opportunity in front of goal. While he was able to beat a well-positioned Allen Varen, the backup goalkeeper for Banijan side FC Zacatecas, he beat the goal too, as he hit the post and the ball bounced harmlessly out of bounds for a goal kick. It was a golden opportunity that would come back to bit Nosts in the end.

While both teams had a few scoring opportunities, Banija was the one to opening the game's scoring account. In the 27th minute, Banija had a corner kick, and the ball was headed by striker Thyestes Lias towards goal, though it was pushed out by Nosts goalkeeper dos Santos towards the 18. Isaac Georgiadis was waiting at the edge of the box, and launched it back towards goal, and there was nothing that their goalkeeper could do about it as Banija took a 1-0 lead against Natanians & Nosts. The team's offense, at the very least, was playing well, and many Banijans were excited for the prospects for not only the game, but the tournament as a whole.

Natanians & Nosts, just 6 minutes later however, was able to answer. They had a free kick on the edge of the 18, but it was on the left side. However, they were able to bend a ball in, and Banijan defenders were unable to deal with the cross, as Nosts headed the ball into the back of the net on the set piece to tie the game at 1. They went into the half all square at one, and both teams had some tremendous scoring opportunities. Most people believed that there would be more goals to come in the second half, and they were right.

Dennis Korba, considered by many to be the best player on the team, was then able to work some magic against Nosts in the 2nd half. In the 63rd minute, Korba was fouled 22 yard away, and given a free kick in that dangerous area. As the Banijan free kick taker, he lined up to take the free kick, and the ball beat the goalkeeper, hit the bottom of the crossbar and bounced into the net to give Banija a 2-1 lead. Banijan fans were excited, and even though a little bit of luck helped Korba, a goal is a goal is a goal.

Korba was able to bring the ball back and score again. In the 77th minute, a Nosts corner kick was punched out by Allen Varen, and the counter-attack was on. Isaac Georgiadis had the ball, and was leading a 3 on 2, with striker Thyestes Lias and Dennis Korba running with him. After giving a thorough ball to Lias, he hit the ball across as the goalkeeper came to his side, and Korba tapped in an easy goal to give Banija a 3-1 lead, and hand them the victory. The score ended up being 3-2 after a hard foul by Zale Soter which gave him his first yellow card of the tournament, and a penalty kick that Nosts simply buried.

The opportunities for these players in this tournament are massive. First, are the opportunities to represent the national side. With the recent end to World Cup 72, the World Cup 73 cycle has begun. Banija, for the first time, will enter a team into World Cup qualifying, and it is part of a long-term plan to eventually get Banija into the World Cup. The World Cup is not like any other tournament; its qualifying is far more intense. That is why tournaments like these are setting the foundation for the future. It is this tournament that not only helps develop Banijans for the future, but sees who can possibly move up to the senior side now. Banijan teams at all levels will be entered into various tournaments, to help prepare them for the eventual rigor of World Cup 73 qualifying.

The opportunities for these players are large as individuals as well. Due to Banijan laws about education & sports, you cannot be a professional sports player unless you have a high school diploma or equivalent, or are currently going to high school and you are at least halfway through, and 16 years old. The Banijan Royal Soccer Association has made the decision long ago, that due to the intensity of the game, that you could not go professional until you have a high school diploma. They have also made the decision that no youth teams can have anybody under 16 years of age, which is why they have 16 year olds and other teams have 14 year olds, including two Nosts starters. These individuals are showing off for BSL clubs, and many of them, especially the 18 year olds, are hoping to be signed at the end of this tournament by various clubs in Banija.

Great Inn Hotel
Sayo Matsuoka
Republica, Free Republics
Following the 3-0 Win

After returning from what was a terrific game, Sayo went up to her room so she could take a quick shower. The Manager didn't want to give his post game analysis in the locker room with the way it smelt so the team came back to the hotel so they can bathe. Afterwards the players and staff were to meet in Conference Room A upstairs so they can be debriefed. Sayo went into the bathroom and stepped into the shower letting out a little quick moan as the first drops of warm water landed on her. Her mind then went towards the game where Aoi and her combined for 3 goals against a team that would've probably won against them at the senior level.

Sayo then turned of the faucet and put on a causal t-shirt, her favorite jeans and converse before heading to the conference room. Once she got inside she noticed she was the last person inside of the room with the manager Ryuichi Toyoda laughing. "Your lucky you scored two goals today otherwise I would be upset....I'm glad you enjoyed your shower." As the rest of the team laughed Sayo sat down next to Koharu while blushing in embarrassment. The Manager cleared his throat before he begun.

"The youth of Kirishima...I am proud of every single one of you today. In the inaugural version of the U-18 world cup, where nobody is ranked, we showed that senior level ranked means nothing. We showed that while we may be Genin with some Kitsunes in our ranks we can play. I am sure we can continue to succeed in this tournament and maybe even win Illias willing. However the most important thing for you young ones is not the possibility of being champions...it's too early for that. This is an opportunity for all of you to travel and meet potential future friends, teammates, and rivals. This is an opportunity to become ready for the Senior Squad or refine your talents for when you return to the senior squad. An opportunity for teams to discover your talents and sign you. I am proud of what everyone accomplished tonight. Sayo your goal early in the game inspired us all and Aoi...you made sure to strike while the iron was hot. I will be looking forward to your future performances. To the rest of you, everyone played well, that is how we were able to obtain the shutout. Even though some fans only count Goals, Kirishinans know better, we know better, and scouts know better. Everyone is a crucial petal resting on a Sakura. One petal is surely beautiful but as a whole you become the spring. Keep up the good work and let's try and guarantee a round of 16 spot with another win. Dismissed!

Sayo joined the rest of the team in chants of Ura! and Hora! before deciding to go eat some dinner. "Um Sayo?' Sayo heard as she was heading down the hall with Koharu. Sayo noticed it was Aoi standing there with a smile on his face. "I guess resting yesterday was the right idea. But is there anytime to see the city?" Aoi asked her.

Sayo smiled "Aoi I'll tell you this if we manage to win again and clinch a round of 16 spot we will have more than enough time to see the city." Sayo replied as Aoi nodded his head. "Come now padwaan, let me show you want you need to eat today." Sayo stated as the three players went down the hall.

The day after the match
Baseton

Augustus and the others were keeping busy by playing seven on seven matches of Armeian rules football, and even though Conor had warned them not to go too hard, things had gotten pretty intense. When Irene was going in to shoot, Augustus, who was playing winger instead of keeper, slid in front of her and sent her falling forward.

"You didn't have to do that, you prick," she growled, shoving him as Isa scooped up the ball.

"That wasn't even a real tackle," tsked Augustus as he dusted himself off. However Irene was still visibly upset, and when Augustus ran down the wing on a counter attack, she kicked him as hard as she could in the knee.

He went down, clutching his knee in pain, and the others ran over to see what was wrong. "I think I tore my ACL..." he groaned, judging that the injury wasn't from the kick but with the bad angle he'd turned at right after it.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" shouted Irene, kneeling next to him, but he pushed her away.

"Please, just leave me alone... Or go make yourself useful and call Mara."

As the goalkeeping coach, Mara Fuller knew a bit about goalkeeper injuries, and her guess that the injury was a torn ACL was correct. The doctors just confirmed it, and Mara handed the scan results to Augustus, who was sitting on a table in the medical room.

"I'm sorry," she said as Augustus read the results and sighed. Bianka, who was next to him, put her arm around him and pulled herself closer, but it didn't seem to help. "You've got what you wanted," he added, looking up at Isa, who was also in the room. "Take the captain's armband too, it's not like I can do anything with it..."

"I'm not celebrating this or anything," said Isa. "But thanks for not being bitter about losing the armband."

"If you want to know what I really think, I think we blew our chance at a championship. But whatever. Good luck and have fun with trying to make the rest of the team follow you."

Isa was one of the toughest ones on the team. She was covered with tattoos, with two full sleeves and some on her neck, and she had scars from the Seven Day War. But she wasn't a leader, she was too demanding.

In practice she kept yelling at the back line over everything, until she lost her voice, and the defenders hated playing with her. "I'm done if she's the captain," said Gregor Borg, stroking his full beard.

"Same," said Marc-Andre Zupan. "Give Denz the armband, not Isa."

Conor sighed upon hearing that. "I don't know about that... We'll decide who the captain is next match day. For now, give Isa a chance."

"We did," said Borg as he took his shirt off and began to walk out of practice, despite it not being done yet. "She messed it up."

Lutine Starts U18 World Cup With a Draw

The Lutinian youth national side started off the U18 World Cup with a 2-2 draw against Kirisaki. It was a game of two halves for the Green and White, and in the end, both teams got a deserved point in Group F.

Playing in the Milanese Dome, the Lutinian team came out a little flat. Frankly, the players looked overwhelmed out there on the pitch. And for good reason: the Milanese Dome could fit the entire population of Lutine and still have 20,000 seats to spare! The Lutinian crowd was very small and fan support for the team was lacking.

Kirisaki, on the other hand, ran out of the gate as if they were being chased in the Jamesworth Bull Races. Kirisaki forward #9 set the tone for the team in the fourth minute, when he hit a half volley off the crossbar. On the ensuing corner, Walter Prior cleared the ball off of the goal line, but it was only a short reprieve for the Greenmen.

Three minutes later, Kirisaki struck first through a beautiful team goal. Midfielder #7 picked up the ball in his half and raced past wingback William Savill who was caught out of position. He played the ball in to Midfielder #10 who back-heeled it into the path of Forward #9. With Charles Payne covering the run of #10, #9 had a straight run through on goal and slotted the ball under Mahlon Smith to put Kirisaki up 1-nil.

Kirisaki were not done threatening, as a giveaway almost led to a quick second. Robert Howley was careless on the ball after the kick-off, and a smart tackle by Midfielder #8 player in Forward #9. Mahlon Smith closed the angle well and a recovery tackle from Walter Prior prevented a 2-nil deficit.

The game fell quiet for 15 minutes, with Kirisaki threatening a few times around the box and Lutine getting their first chance on a breakaway. The Greenmen had a three-on-three but Randall Ogden was met with a sturdy tackle from Defender #3. The Lutine offense was still very quiet.

In the 36th minute, it got worse for Lutine. Following a beautiful give-and-go, Midfielder #10 poked the ball past Mahlon Smith, leaving the goalkeeper no choice but to take him out. Miraculously, Smith received only a yellow card for what should have been a straight red for denying a goalscoring opportunity. However, Kirisaki was granted a penalty kick. Smith guessed left but Forward #9 shot right, giving him a brace and giving Kirisaki a 2-nil lead.

Lutine received their first real chance of the game just before halftime in the 43rd minute. James Bourn was fouled by Defender #5, giving Lutine a free kick in a dangerous area. Albert Brand got the free kick on net, but Randall Ogden skied his rebound attempt over the bar. The tiny contingent of Lutine fans groaned as what should have been their first goal became a souvenir for a fan behind the goal.

Halftime came and went with one tactical change for each side. Kirisaki defender #2 went off with a minor groin injury, with defender #14 coming on to replace him. And Manager George Wyles took off Harold Whitehead and replaced him with Fred Gent. Both of these substitutions would prove to be important in the game.

On 65 minutes, Lutine finally got off the mark. James Bourn passed to Albert Brand and continued his run into the box past defender #14. On the return pass, Bourn lined up to shot but was knocked off his feet by #14. The referee gave a yellow card for #14 and a penalty for Lutine.

Randall Ogden lined up to take the kick. Although he had missed Lutine's previous chance, he was the epitome of confidence, pointing to a spot in the top corner and rifling his shot into the upper 90. He ran to the corner and celebrated in front of the small contingent of Lutine fans. With his goal, Ogden gained the honor of scoring the first international goal for Lutine at any level. There will surely be many more to come at the junior and senior levels.

Kirisaki was victimized again in the 77th minute when Midfielder #6 was sent off for a second yellow card. #6 took out Albert Brand as the midfielder played the ball out wide. The Kirisaki players crowded the referee and asked for mercy, but the ref was having none of it and sent #6 off.

On the ensuing free kick, Brand feinted high and shot the ball under the leaping Kirisaki wall. The ball looked as if it would hit the post and bounce out but goalkeeper #1 could only watch as the ball nestled in the bottom corner of the wall. Brand pumped his fist in the air as his teammates jumped on his back. Lutine had an equalizer.

Lutine pressed for an equalizer but was unable to hit the back of the net. Substitute Alfred Cunard went close from range, but his shot went just wide of the base of the post. At full time, the players shook hands, disappointed that they were not able to find a winner against ten men, but happy with their comeback. Manager Wyles was pleased with the performance, saying the team had shown great character to come back from defeat. Here's to a win next match!

Player Ratings

#1 - Mahlon Smith - 5 - Couldn't do anything on the first goal, but really should have been sent off for the penalty. Made a good stop that kept the game from being blown open early.
#2 - Walter Prior - 6 - Lutine's best defender on the day. Cleared a shot off the line early.
#3 - Charles Payne - 5 - Chose the wrong man on the first goal and was lacking in organizational skills throughout the game.
#4 - Richard Coles - 5 - Wasn't able to get into the game offensively, but held his line effectively on defense.
#5 - William Whiston - 5 - Pretty boring game for Whiston. Made a few good overlapping runs but was not found by Brand.
#6 - William Savill - 4 - Didn't defend well enough on the second goal. Substituted in the 87th minute for Alfred White.
#7 - James Bourn - 6 - Played well on the whole. Had free rein in the Kirisaki midfield.
#8 - Robert Howley - 4 - Almost gifted Kirisaki a goal early and had a very poor day stopping the Kirisaki attack. Substituted in the 79th minute for Alfred Cunard.
#9 - Randall Ogden - 6 - Played well up front and hit a top-class penalty for the first goal. Should have done better on his chance just before halftime.
#10 - Albert Brand - 7 - Hit a good free kick that was saved well by the goalkeeper #1, then followed that up with a beautiful free kick goal to equalize. Strong on the ball and getting more confident.
#11 - Harold Whitehead - 4 - Never made an impact on the game. Substituted at halftime for Fred Gent.
#19 - Alfred Cunard - Sub - Made an impact in his short time on the field. Almost hit a winner in extra time.
#20 - Alfred White - Sub - Came on in the 87th minute to press for a winner. No impact.
#22 - Fred Gent - 5 - Played better than Whitehead but never quite hit his groove. Still, the manager will be impressed with his play after coming on at halftime.

Jê Çìró
submitted moments ago

Image
Çìró in training, after successfully dribbling Maes.

To be honest, I didn't know what player in the U18 squad to write about until after yesterday's game. There were many options, but after the game this guy was the only one. A brace against Valladares, even in the U18 World Cup, is nothing short of impressive. The unpredictable winger (of sorts) was just too much for the Rushmori team to control.

As I mentioned in my write-up of Täjó Çíânflöné, Dí Maozöxê let go of Jê recently. Well, that wasn't entirely true. After some research, we found there were far more sinister reasons for him to leave the Rulandese team.

Jê was born in Ômên, Ruland, son of Tüy Çìró, a Rulandese man, and Margara Albuquerque, a Faroleran woman. He's got two sisters, Yúí and Márí, and three brothers, Nôn, Jüxévé and Qólgár. When Jê was twelve, his father was shot dead by the parent of one of Jê's teammates because of a missed penalty that ended up eliminating Dí Maozöxê from a metropolitan competition. Metropolitan competitions are the ones that attract the most scouts in Ruland, and in a place so infested with crime it just isn't surprising that the man would meet such a fate.

But anyway, let's get onto his skillset. One of the first things you'll notice when you see Çìró play is that he has a staggering pace. Not quite Dandalleion pace, but still way ahead of the curve. He's still far too young to be completely sure he'll be super fast at senior level, but everything points to it. What's more, this Rulandese winger (why are our best wingers almost always Rulandese, anyway?) is particularly adept at dribbling. Unlike our senior team's starting left winger, Risko Kâí, Çìró plays more as an inside forward than anything else. He likes to cut in, though not as much as our senior team's starting right winger, Mâás Fôx, who doesn't cross too much. One could say Çìró's the middle-ground between Risko's preference towards running down the flank and Mâás' much more fervent preference towards cutting in. Which is to say he likes to cut in but he can run down the flank cause he's fast. Hmm... looks like I could've saved me a few sentences there. Çìró's also good at passing and has got quite an impressive workrate. He's right-footed, but I'm sure he could fool more than one person in that regard if he were so inclined.

Jê's still a very typical Farf player, though, and that inevitably means he sucks at defending. Yeah, sorry guys, the rule holds true for this guy too. There's little to say here, really. His defending's well below-average by international standards, and average by Farf standards.

Summing up, Jê looks like he'll be a staple on the Di Bradini squad soon enough, before making the step-up to the senior team in six years, give or take three. It's hard to tell if he'll be a player the likes of which we Farves have never seen before, or if he'll end up being just a decent player in a mid-table Sunrisian team. Or anything in between, of course. As always, we'll have to wait this out.

Two months before the Sporting World Cup
Inside the City Hall of Tochimoto, Capital of Central Sunrise

"I'm honored to meet you..." started the mayor of Tochimoto, Sho Morimoto, only to stop midway on his phrase. The rather young gentleman (something normal nowadays what with the re-agement and all) stared at the Gardevoir, rather confused. "I can assume you didn't attend Biology classes at your school, sir." stated the Pokémon, then breaking into a couple of laughs. "That's fine, people often confuse me when I'm not speaking on my regular voice." The Gardevoir then switched to his normal, manly voice after tinkering a bit with a voice box. "I'm Jean Mulhouse, president of the NSIFC and currently head of the Unified Sunrisian Football Council."

The mayor simply smiled, a bit embarassed, sitting down at his chair. "So? Shouldn't the Central Sunrisian Football Confederation president or something be the one I'd talk with?" The NSIFC's president sighed, staring at the mayor. "As you might know, she's human. And humans need vacations." The president of the NSIFC moved around the Mayor's hall, staring through an open window. "Considering she spent the last months dealing with the paper work of those weird Baseball clubs that now have football teams too... Well, she deserved some rest." Jean sat at a chair, simply shrugging. "It's still a bit odd that these teams were nearly this nation's best entrants to our multinational system. I experienced similar things on Northern Sunrise, but nothing like it." he said. "Like those cricket teams that figured out they should be multisports associations to raise their level of relevance. I always assumed the kids from this place played baseball all the time, why football now?" "Odd that you say it like that, sir." said the mayor. "I imagined that every new football team would entice you and your association." The Gardevoir sighed. "I don't mind it, but there's no reason for me to be a killjoy to other sports."

A sudden noise could be heard. The mayor punched a hole on his desk. "FOR FUCK'S SAKE." Jean was slightly shocked. "Uh... So, never a dull moment at Tochimoto?" Sho raised from his seat, opening the window and staring right through it only to find a loud mob. "It's those damn Martial Arts schools! Ever since the Corvidae was finally done over with, they think it's all fair and dandy to train their skills on a friendly war of sorts. Why couldn't they just work on unity or something?" Jean smiled, suddenly having an idea. "Hmmm... Well, the Di Bradini Cup is still going around and we kinda need a back-up roster for this Sporting World Cup thing... but most of the teams are already on preparation for the next season and all, so we can't pick any players from them." the Gardevoir kept his smile. "How about the Unified Sunrise Islands roster be a team consisting of the best Martial Arts that these Tochimoto Academies can offer?"

"...Well, I'll be damned." said the mayor. "Good luck."

Later that day
Grand Sakura Hotel

A Group of eight people, all dressed on very detailed robes and armor, each very different from the other one. They were, however, very not too pleased about each other.

"So. Whom of you requested this reunion and what is your backstabbing plan, Eoduunbam?" said a man dressed on a white robe, whose white and gold armor had an oriole like motif. He was the leader of the Noburushiten Academy, Orioru Meiyonotoko. The woman in a purple robe, whose armor kept a motif of a crow, Ankoku Naitonokuro simply laughed. "Ah, Orioru. The traditional Noburushiten's smugness. You are very much aware that if I wanted to end you and your pathetic academy, I'd have done it a long while ago." Ankoku then slided her hand over the rival academy leader's hand. "Sadly, I need a noble branch to stand over every day." The woman decked in what seemed like a yellow robe and a dragon armor placed her feet over the table, simply laughing. "Why don't you two marry and just get over it? Even if you added your powers, you'd still be unable to beat me and my students!" Suffice to say, Josei Ikari, the leader of the Saishuryu no Ikari Academy seemed to be pretty confident. That was the time where the leader of the Odoruhoshi Academy, Sofia Kirohara, decked on a very busy black costume with stars over her clothing, decided to answer the call of her rival. "Heard that from many a person... And you might be the weakest of them all, Josei." Josei answered to her, angry. "OH, YOU WANT TO DUKE IT OUT-"

A loud noise took the entire room as the doors of it opened. The leaders all promptly silenced. "Well. Good to see the old people still respond well to something they don't see everyday." said Jean Mulhouse as he entered the room. The Gardevoir sat on an empty chair. "Yeah. I know the feeling... Seeing things you never saw on your entire life. I've seen weird stuff." The mayor then dropped a pile of paper on the table. "See, we have two problems. I need a team to play the Under-18 World Cup. The city needs stop from all the senseless warfare of yours." The leader of the Sudogwon Anjeon Academy, a blonde dressed on an orange robe that somehow resembled a cop uniform, stood up from her chair, assuming position. "SIR! WE FOUGHT AGAINST THE OTHER ACADEMIES TO ENSURE SAF-" Her words stopped as the Gardevoir lifted her hand. "I do not mind, miss...?" The police started again "SIR! I'M SHIHO SHUGO, SIR!" Jean laughed. "Well, then you'll love my proposal. I want you to send some of your best under-18 students. I'll finance a training camp so that they learn football basics, at least.". "And what if I don't agree with you?" asked Ankoku. "Then you'll be politely asked to close your academy and move to the nearest jail as your warfare practices are a crime." answered Sho, the mayor. "And thanks to Mr. Jean here, Northern Sunrisians would have reasoning to send their prized elites to solve up whatever effort your students might pull."

As Jean finaly left, he already had a list of twenty-eight players were listed up. The team was soon on their way to Mardi, where they'd start their training.

NORDIQUES TO SURVIVE AND ADVANCE

Chants of 'Sieg' rained down from the upper terraces as goalkeeper Isa Tangemen waved to the crowd at the end of the match. The rest of the team followed her over to the mob of black clad fans, who had stood the whole match and waved black and purple flags. They were from Western Armeia, the most nationalistic of the three Armeian regions, but they had no problems with traveling to see the youth national team in their first World Cup.

As the players approached, the supporters tossed scarves at them that read Western on the front, most notably at the Schraeder twins and Marc-Andre Zupan, the three westerners on the team. A gesture of solidarity with their friends from the South.

The whole country had gotten behind this team, even the North, which usually hated the South in everything it did. The South viewed the North as poor and uneducated and the North viewed them as vain and sheltered. But now all the regions shared the same team and the result was amazing support from across the country.

But let's rewind to the match, and how the scene here got to be like this. Armeia were still the underdogs going into this match and center back Marc-Andre Zupan wasn't playing, after getting into a big row with the goalkeeper, Isa Tangemen. Previous goalkeeper and captain Augustus Lenz tore his ACL while training, and word from inside the team says that neither starting center back trust Tangemen as captain or staring goalkeeper. Wingback Valeriane Carin moved into Zupan's spot at center back and was replaced at left back by Urban Niklasson. The formation shifted from a 4-2-3-1 to more of a 3-1-2-3-1 with Carin moving up the field and the other defenders spreading out.

Things started off slow, with no scoring until the second half. There were chances by both teams, but Isa Tangemen was the goalkeeper that stood out, as she saved a shot by Vincent Debren from close range in the 45th minute. In the second half however, Armeia got off to a flying start, with Draga Schraeder banging in a goal off the rebound from a corner in minute 50. Denzel Falk put on a show tonight, and he provided the assist to anotrher goal in the 54th, this one coming off the counter attack. Joseph Sven Martin was the scorer, and his goal was another close range one after he successfully evaded the keeper.

If things couldn't get worse for Albaie, they did, as their goalkeeper turned an ankle and had to be taken off. The game got more interesting near the end, when center back Gregor Borg got engaged in a row with Vincent Debren, which apparently stemmed from Debren insulting team vice captain Katarina Dana Bonner. Borg punched Debren in the face, which resulted in him being sent off. After the sending off, he was replaced in the back by Carin, and Armeia took a more defensive approach.

However in minute number 79, Bonner had a breakaway chance running down the wing, and she cut inside and finished perfectly, capping off the 3-0 win.

OOC: This is part one of my RP post, it can be counted as one post but I'm posting each half separate
Armeia: Nordic/Germanic/Japanese nation with a quite corrupt government and a militaristic society.

Natanians and Nosts' U-18 team wins it's first game! The Little Tyrannosauri natanicii won the game aginst Patistan, and now they must win against Abahnfleft and cheer for a results combination if they want to be in the Sporting World Cup playoffs. The Natanian team lost to Banija in it's debut match(3x2),with their first goal being illegal(their striker was in an off-side position),but this is other game.
The match started and the little Tyrannosauri natanicii soon started striking, with Numa shooting at the first minutes, but this gets interesting when the Patistani team tried to score, their striker passed to their midfielder and he shooted, but our great goalkeeper João Júlio didn't had much work to deffend,so naturally he passed the ball to Márcus, and he passed to Cáius Júnio, but he crossed to Cáius Taylor,I know that at this time was too late to try a counter-attack,he runned and passed to Ion Probo,he shooted, the ball hitted the post,a Patistani deffender tried to recover the ball, but Numa stole it,and shooted, the ball were in the net,a goal!At the first half 27th minute!TThen Patistan soon tried to draw the game, but our deffensemen and João Júlio kept the goal safe,Numa and the Álvarus César siblings made that the first half ending a nightmare for the Patistani goalkeeper. The second half started wih Numa stealing the ball form a Patistan's palyer, then he barely ran and was tackled, nothing serious, but a foul is a foul, and it was 35 m. away from the goal,Ion Probo shooted, the ball had gone straight in the angle but the Patistani goalkeeper made an icredible saving. At the second half ten miutes,Lucas Álvarus stole the ball,he passed to Lúcius Álvarus who runned in the goal direction,he made an intend to shoot but instead he crossed backwards and Numa came running as fast as he could, well I think, and shooted the ball straight into the net in a totally legal position. At the thirty-sixth minute Patistan had a penalty, and Cáius Június an yellow card, but their taker set it to 5 m. far away for the goal. When it gave the forty-third minute, another foul for us,this time Numa tried to score, but the Patistani goalkeeper saved it again. The match ended NTN 2X0 PAT.
The next game will be against Abahnfleft, who defeated Banija but drawed with Patistan, which will be the results, and about Patistan x Banija, who will win,and who are going to be the top two teams?
