Since Neu Engollon posted he could only hold the Union VP seat, I nominate him to this one.

BUT, I was thinking about something recently. Rugby Sevens is not a proper code. It's a derivation of Union; like Nines is a derivation of League. Why do we have Sevens as a separate code?

This is probably the time to recognize Lisander as a "Tier 2 Rugby" Nation, pretty much like real nations Georgia, Romania, Japan, Fiji and USA. So I'd like to invite every active nation in Ranks 11-20 to play test matches against the Irises. It would help to improve our Roleplaying, and to build unity into teams.

I have unfortunately not noticed this post until now - I mostly access the forum through "view my posts" and haven't posted in this thread before. But if you're still interested, I'm up for that! One in Lisander and one in Sjoedrhavn, maybe? I'd also like to invite all other nations of this area (especially Juvencus...) to Sjoedrhavn, Pawlograd or Virkaja for friendly matches, and can offer to score games if required.

Finally, apologies for not roleplaying. I had quite a bit to do, and to be honest, while I like rugby I don't know a lot about it and only got into it a bit thanks to the Olympics. Add the difficulty of watching rugby from Switzerland (or the Netherlands, for that matter) to that, and you can maybe imagine why RPing rugby is entertaining but also a bit difficult. I prioritised other sports + RL above RUWC in the end because of that.

I'm certainly up for it too. We're happy to either travel or to invite some teams to Burges or Petrovijanka for a couple of matches.

Possibly because Sevens is big enough that it has its own competition and is an Olympic sport, whereas noone has really run Nines separately (and League doesn't seem to have the same following that Union does here). Plus, it would be good to have 3 VPs that remain active here.

I propose you a match in Sjoedrhavn and a rematch two weeks later (ICly, they can be scorinated at the same time obv) in Mattijana at a stadium of your choice. I assume third party scorinators would be expected like in football/hockey friendlies?

I'm up to a little tour. I'd like to count with games against Mattijana and Savojarna (as a visitor) in the next two weekends (Apr. 23 and 30), since there is a little more time to RP. I'd like to have a third party to scorinate and award Bonus RP for the matches.

Later this season, I could host both of you in URSA Park, Soria.

I can also act as a third-party scorinator (and RP Referee) to a Mattijana - Savojarna test.

That would be awesome. This is my proposed schedule:

Apr. 23: Mattijana vs Lisander (Stadijo Našinal, Burges)
Apr. 26/27 (sometime midweek): Savojarna vs Mattijana (Sjoedrhavn)
Apr. 30: Savojarna vs Lisander (in Savojarna)
May 10th/11th: Mattijana vs Savojarna (Stadijo Dinamov, Petrovijanka)

Later:
Lisander vs Mattijana
Lisander vs Savojarna
(URSA Park, Soria)

The two tests between Savojarna and Mattijana can obviously be scorinated on either the first or latter date, or a different one entirely. If anyone has any concerns/suggestions, then do say.

Also, if anyone apart from Lisander and myself would like to help scorinate any if these matches, let us know.

I'm fine with this schedule, and for the record, we'll play Mattijana in Sjoedrhavn's National Rugby Ground and Lisander in the Stadion Friedrich Engels, Pawlograd. I can also scorinate Mattijana vs Lisander and vice versa, however, I am not sure if I can do it on the 23rd, it may end up being the 24th. I am debating Rotterdam Open on the weekend, and while I kinda plan to take my laptop with me it's possible we'll be more successful than expected and I'm busy on sunday. Sounds good for you guys?

PS re RP: Is there a plan for a thread, do we just RP in our newswires, do we do RP bonus? How is that supposed to work? I am only familiar with hockey friendlies, where it was mostly "post a result in the Friendly Scheduler Thread".

I'm okay with both dates, since Lisander will play Alice Bay in Apr. 26.

I can't just ignore the document in the OP by not requiring a Sevens VP. I think it's worthwile to put the position to a vote under the new presidency, though.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. I'd rather take the VP slot with the least amount of responsibility, but I probably would have taken another nomination with enough arm twisting. It's a moot point now, as the voting has already started for the positions stated.

Apologies for not being able to scorinate the Lisander vs Mattijana game... I was eventually not able to take my laptop with me due to space constraints (I had carry-on luggage only), and also wouldn't have had wifi in the first place.

The Tobiasian uniforms were posted in the RUWC Everything Thread. If you're not satisfied, I should be able to provide you with some different apparel, using the new template, after I finish my initial duties as a Board Member.
