I had some problems in the last 48 hours, but URSA Sevens and LARFC Sevens returns tomorrow, and it will be a great weekend!

Eventually, when I find the time here, I'd like to make a rugby club player transfer sheet like we have for hockey. Probably just copy the format of the hockey one. Unless someone with more time on their hands beats me to it, which I wouldn't mind in the least.

I already have quite a few foreign players from the last time I sought some out about 2 years ago. I will probably touch base with everyone to make sure the status hasn't changed and I can still hang on to them. I know a couple folks have actually switched nations and probably canon by now. Also, if you're reading this and got some of my rugby players in trade for yours, please let me know as I lost my master file of that on an old fried hard drive. Thanks.
TG me with questions if you got some, especially about GE&T or PMCs.

Some stuff in my mind about it:

Image
The Polar Islandstates CTE'd 40 days ago. I think it's time to move on. Drop the SEASOGS links and start again. It's probably my organizing impulse speaking, but I think we should have, as we have in NSRB, a council to deal with Club Rugby, ensure the smooth running of competitions, keep the rankings updated, keep the transfer sheet as you imagined, et cetera. Our equivalent to association football UICA. Since I'm a fairly decent logo designer, I gave a try on something. Okay, this is a copy of real EPCR, but I think is good to present the idea. I used the ball graphic from old Barsteeg logo made by Cotdelapoms, for historic linking.

Of course, there is a lot to discuss and evolve about this idea. I'd like to host the Champions Trophy (RUCT, also called Seasogs), but I don't have time so I think Apox's Dwile Tournament should be backed since it's already planned and on the eve of starting its second edition. Maybe for the next edition, we could even count it as Champions Trophy 26. It depends on what Apox will think about this.

I don't think we need another whole council for this. Too much layered bureaucracy. Perhaps just another position appointed to the NSRB, if even that. So it would be: Union VP, League VP, Sevens VP, Club VP

Otherwise, I agree with everything else and I like the logo.

Yep I’m still good to host this next edition of the Dwile International - I’d also be happy to “evolve” it and transform it into a new Seasogs, but taking up the RUCT name if required, but I guess that’s up to the consensus of others really. I’ve certainly got the hosting history to deal with it.

Congratulations to Natanians and Nosts and New South Munster for winning the plate and bowl respectively. Commiserations to Frenline Delpha, Neu Engollon and Filindostan for being cup, plate and bowl runners-up respectively. And no, I'm not congratulating myself.

And, of course, well done to Lisander for a good job on hosting; although the massive break was a bit of a pain and a heads-up would've been nice, it was still a good tourney regardless. Here's hoping the next stop on the NSRB Sevens Series, the Freedom 7s in Frenline Delpha* (which I'm guessing will be held sometime after RWC26**), will be just as good.

* According to the table Lisander made here.

** If you're wondering where I got RWC26 from, it's here.

The group draw has been conducted and the groups have been posted in the OP. TG's have been sent out (two days late, woops) and the first cutoff will be in approximately 50 hours.

An IC schedule (Darmeni timeline) will be posted in the IC info post (2nd post) sometime tomorrow. Feel free to ignore/change the times as/if needed if it doesn't fit in with your timeline.

Just a quick heads up for the United Republic Empire: Once a tournament's started, you CANNOT drop out so sadly your team's stuck here for the whole ride. On the upside, you don't have to RP in a tournament (in fact, a number of people who enter any tournament on NS Sports don't even post a roster, let alone an RP) so there really aren't any problems if you're too busy to post one.

So with Darmen advancing to the Quarterfinals, I'll be looking for a third party to scorinate from here on out for any Darmeni matches. If you''ll be available around this same time over any of the next three nights/mornings/what is ever it is now for you, let me know by TG if you can provide that scorination. If not, that's ok, I'll ask on IRC. Thanks in advance.

I guess I'll be available for some 3rd party scorinating.

A belated congratulations to Barunia for winning the tournament, a belated congratulations to Darmen for doing a good job hosting and well done to Lisander for winning the bronze medal. And apologies to Savojarna if I seemed rude in my last RP for the tournament.

Also, is anyone going to update the Sevens Series table or do you guys want me to do it? I know it's been a couple of months since the last one ended and I don't know when Frenline Delpha (or whoever's going to host the next one) will open sign-ups for their sevens tourney but I figured it might be a good idea to give it a good update just in case.

Not at all, that was a rather embarrassing mistake on my part. Should have double-checked before publishing...

That being said, thank you all (and especially Darmen, obv) for a great tournament, even if we were rather unlucky in it!

Congrats to Barunia and also to Darmen for an excellently run tournament! Apologies for my lack of contribution - uni exams came at the wrong time!

In other news, after consultation with the NSRB VPs, I can confirm that I will be taking over the running of the Rugby Union Champion's Trophy, which I'll post in the domestic thread about shortly. The plan is to carry on with two submissions per nation until the size of the tournament increases again, at which point higher ranking associations may receive more places/a Globe Cup style competition may be created.

The ranks from the previous two Dwile International tournaments will carry over for the next event, but it will be officially referred to as RUCT 26.

Just a reminder to everyone that the cut-off for entries to RUCT 26 is in just over five days time - with the UICA deadline now posted that gives you all some time to get those entries in! Would be good to see some growth in the size of the domestic rugby tournaments back to the size they were back when PIS was regularly running them.

I am working on beginning a rugby league, but I don't know if I can build it all up + scorinate an entire season in five days. Is it okay to just run a scorination to determine entrants for the first time without really RP'ing it or anything (a "Season 0" so to say)

I already posted two seasons of my Rugby Coalition with only the final results and some background info and flavor text for the Dwile International. I don't know much about the RUCT but I think what you said would be all right.
