You mean window as in on IRC? That is dependent on people being able to be on IRC at the appropriate times necessary to make the trades. I think it would be better to have a permanent spot for people to peruse prospects at their leisure and also put up their own players for trade when they are ready.

Perhaps some type of standard format for players up for trades too, like: Name, position, age, current/previous club, short bio.

I suggested something like this a while ago and it got shot down because apparently the Domestic Hockey Newswire thread is good enough.

Which it's not, honestly.

We should have something like a transfer-listed player spreadsheet. Something like this:

I updated the main list with the Neu Engollian players. I'll work in my league rosters in the next days, to go into "shopping". BTW, I'd like NS Hockey organizers could take care of this spreadsheet.

Anyone, Lisander?... Mind if I add a category for if they play on their national team? Maybe just like a checkbox, Y or N.

You're free to edit it. But I really would like if the nation in control of WCoHF did this, and took care of the spreadsheet from now on.

Well, I edited that in. I think it might be a bit to ask to have Val or whoever is in control of WCoHF to caretake the transfer sheet when they didn't exactly sign up for the responsibility. You did such a great job with it to where we should all be able to manage it on our own without much difficulty.

For anyone who wants any of my players listed, go ahead and copy/paste 'Dealing' over 'Available' and TG me. I will be adding more players soon, I'm sure.

Too much for me. My idea was something like a quick guide to transfer, just with the basics. I personally believe stuff like gender, national appearances and measures are useless. This info can be left for the trade itself (apart from gender, that is easily noticed by name, unless your nation has only unisex names).

The more information you put, the less practical it will be.

EDIT: I removed the table "add players", since neither Kaboomlandia or Ontorisa respected this notice. I changed a Novozemlyan player to a table that now stands the only one. Thanks Novozemlya for following the old method.

Couple thoughts. First thanks again to Lisander for creating this transfer/trade chart. I know it's evolving beyond what you had originally intended. I think it's only a natural process, and that what you're perceiving as unnecessary info that people want to add, as to categories, is necessary to some as it helps with IC RP and creating sports news and updates. I think that folks are going to continue to tweak it as they (hopefully) see most beneficial to everyone.

Second, what about making a second sheet and putting the finished transfers there, just for record keeping purposes, while keeping all the Availables and 'Dealings' (in negotiation) on the first sheet. I see someone just organized it alphabetically by nationality.

Yeah like for instance I would have something like this:

League Name: Ontorisan Jäähoki Liigamäng
English Name: Ontorisan Hockey League
Acronym: OJL
League Type: Major Professional (there can be High Level, Mid Level and Low Level Minor leagues as well)
Country of Origin: Ontorisa
Brief Description: The OJL is the highest level of professional that exists in Ontorisa and is a Major Professional Hockey League, with 30 teams divided up into 2 conferences with 3 divisions per conference. The OJL functions similar to that of the [IRL] NHL, with the OJL teams holding drafts during the off season, possessing "minor" teams in the LSJL where they can send and call-up players.
No. of Teams: 30
Financial Status: Rich (I was thinking about dividing it up so that people know what amount of money each league can offer. It could go something like: Poor, Meagre, Moderate, Rich. The financial status makes sense sorta because a meagre team would be unable to offer a significant contract to a free agent superstar, per say)
Average Attendance: 23,496
Additional Information: N/a

Idk, like I feel that we could change parts of this, but it would be something like a brief overview of the various leagues in play.

Not bad, little tinkering maybe needed. Maybe better suited to Google docs than sheets, I would think. We could also have everyone put some sort of table listing of all their teams and divisions in their major league. Also, for financial status, are you talking about across the board the whole league, or the financial power and stability of each team in that league? For instance, maybe Team A: $$$ vs Team B: $

I like the idea of a league sheet, but just a short reminder that people have various systems (a google doc where I can write would take care of that). So for example in Savojarna, the leagues are much more 'European', and minor leagues don't exist (at least not with a farm team status), with a few inofficial exceptions. Also, money differences. In Savojarna, players "only" earn around 10-15k NS$ per month (maybe 20k for a star) which, assuming NS$ work similar to USD, is nothing for a hockey pro. But they also get free housing and transport to the point where the 15k are basically for leisure spending only, and prices in Savojarna are low as well. For example, Savojars get some basic food rations for free. How would that place my league financially

Okay, what should I use for hockey scorination? Because I tried xkoranate and the goals for and against where ridiculously low. In 44 games there are teams with only 70 goals for, that's ridiculously low for hockey. Plus in the table shootout wins don't appear in the table. :/

Then I tried nsfs301. But that's the same thing as above, soccer style scores.

What else is there to use?

I think you may have not been using the style modifiers in Xkornate. Having a high style mod should give your teams higher goal scoring.

Beyond that, I don't think there's anything else you can use.

Regarding the Transfers/Trades sheet:
I wanted to say that I deleted the completed transfers off the first sheet, but they are copied in entirety onto the 'Completed Transfers' page. Just at least for myself I'd like it if no one deleted data from my players (players I created AND players I've acquired), until we're sure that info is copied safely somewhere else, such as the other page of the sheet. Again, speaking just for myself, I don't want to lose any info because I will be copying it to a fact sheet and possibly using it for RP purposes.

Thousandth post. :)
