WCoH 31 signups are open

Only two users received nominations for World Cup Presidents; Valanora and Elejamie, with only Valanora receiving the required two nominations to be put into the Presidential position. As a result, Valanora shall be awarded the Presidency and Elejamie will be awarded the Vice Presidency.

Due to unforeseen events occurring, the HCL has been postponed due to lack of interest.

What's your plan for the HCL, Valanora? You had 24 or 25 clubs signed up three two months ago, which does seem like enough interest to me.

Also, do you plan on bringing back the WJHC at some point? No WJHC or HCL leaves us with only the WCoH as a relevant international hockey tournament, which kind of sucks for those of us who enjoy hockey more than other sports.

I'll be looking at the interest levels post the WCoH and see if more than just three or four users are interested and willing to commit to it. If they are not, the HCL will continue to be on a hiatus. As for the WJHC, I never had anything to do with that, you'll have to ask those who were running it.

Fine by me, considering that, had I actually won the presidency, I would've given it to whoever the runner up was and carried on the role of vice president. Mostly because I don't think I'm ready or capable of actually running everything.

Cutoff will generally be evenings to late night CST, there is no exact "window" as my work has rotating shifts that vary per week.

The group stage games are single round robin. The elimination stage games are best of three (except for the final, that's best of five); if you make it that far and if you want to, you could RP them as home and away, even if Val doesn't scorinate them as such.

P.S. I don't know if you've received my TG, Qasden, but if you haven't then I'm just letting you know that -Anthor- and I are ready for you to scorinate our friendlies.

The entire tournament takes place in Valanora, I just don't have any named arenas outside of one, so I don't post the IC info for the WCoH when I host it.

I just noticed Savojarna has nothing, and while I liked the Ficiscia design, I always thought the template I had used was pretty shitty (and I also don't have it saved on this laptop, nor would I know where I found it). Thanks in advance, and good luck for WCoH everyone! Well, maybe except those in my group

As NZE indicated earlier, some people are not much into football/US sports, and it would be nice to have more hockey going on, especially in winter. Now I don't know what the schedule is going to be with the Olympics and WC77, but if it allows it, I'd be interested in getting into hosting stuff this size and may consider bidding if there is interest to restart WJHC.

Yes, I know I am not in the best position to host concerning experience or the fact I blew off the skiing thing I talked about a few months ago, but this was due to the pile of work Maastricht dumped onto me without warning. By February, I will be back home in calm and free-time-granting Zurich, and if we start soon after WCoH, it'd be in my holiday for about 75% of the tournament, and I presume that the KO rounds would be less work anyway given the fact that a majority of teams will be out of the competition by then

Can't help you with the template, but Quebec was heavily involved with the WJHC. It's something I'd like to revive/participate in again as well, as it allows me to create future players for my NT.
