Then I tried nsfs301. But that's the same thing as above, soccer style scores.

What else is there to use?

I use Saintland's modifiers for xkoranate. Goal scoring is noticeably higher with those. You can allow draws or use continious OT to get around the shootout win issue.

How do you install/use them? And do they also fix the tendency of Xkoranate to produce extreme results if two teams with similar style mods play each other? My league's mods don't go over 3.5 in either direction IIRC, and some teams ended every playoff game 1-0 while others produce results like 5-7 in almost every match.

I got it. In the Xkoranate folder there is a "sports" folder, just go to the hockey folder and drag those 3 files into them. They work. It doesn't show SOW's and SOL's. I'd love to be able to set 1 point for a SOL. And there's still the issue of SOW's not showing up in the win column. But it has realistic scoring. Everything set at 0 modifier gets me around 200+ goals per team in a 77 game season. Highest had 284 goals and lowest had 180. So around the same as NHL numbers. :D

I had the plan for quite some time, and now I actually did it as nobody objected to my bid: WJHC is revived, hopefully with the acceptance (and signup) of the NS Hockey Community!

Since there seems to be a reasonable amount of interest, I've gone ahead and posted a new cutoff for the HCL. You have one week to get your entrants in.

Savojarna, I would suggest changing the name of the sign-up thread from "WJHC" to "World Junior Hockey Championships" so that folks who are unaware of the acronym will see it.

Also, I just wanted to ask: is there anyone here who is critical of me or my RPs (or lack of them)? I've always imagined that some think it's not very fair that I was relatively powerful team for a bit despite RPing maybe 1 out of 4 games on average, and I agree. I've had a smorgasbord of luck for quite a while (I mean, I didn't post a roster for the 25th WCoH and I was in the finals two tournaments later), so I hope no-one thinks of me as a nuisance. So any feedback in regards to my crap is appreciated.

Thanks, Esparmuran, indeed didn't consider that! Signups won't be updated until Monday because I am in the Netherlands on a tournament again and didn't take my laptop with me, but I'll check them as soon as I am back so they are being counted anyway. And after this weekend I dont have any tournaments/visits to NL scheduled until late April so the running of WJHC won't be affected by my ties up there :)

In the World Cup thread, San Jose Guayabal made a post about who the WC qualifiers are, region wise. I thought it'd be interesting to see something similar with the World Cup of Hockey, but rather than this being about who's in the current WCoH (as it doesn't have qualifiers) I wanted to see which region had the most WCoH wins.

These are from the last twenty World Cup of Hockeys. This is excluding 13 & 19, as I can't find what regions the winners were from (shout out to Birolika who won the 19th as an unranked by the way)

5 - Atlantian Oceania: Valanora (4), The Royal Kingdom of Quebec
4 - South Eastern North West: Havl (4)
4 - Mathematics Paradise: Plutoni (4, CTE'd)
3 - The East Pacific: Elejamie (2), Kelssek
2 - Esportiva: Gregoryisgodistan (2)
2 - Balder: Gyatso-Kai*, Cassadaigua
1 - Rushmore: Cotdelapoms (CTE'd)
* Gyatso-Kai CTE'd and was refounded in Lazarus, where they are now. Back when they won the 23rd WCoH, they were in Balder

Alright boys, line up your bets.

I have another superstar-in-the-making by the name of Kota Ijarask. His ceiling is supposed to be a franchise offensive defenseman who can play tough, tough minutes. He's 15 right now, so he won't be eligible to officially move to another league until he's 17/18 (he can still commit to a league/school however). Currently he's 6'0", 186 pounds, but he's expected to grow quickly and is having quite the rookie season in the RJJL (Ontorisa's top major junior hockey league) with 22 points in 39 games played. As well, he was selected 1st Overall after being given Exceptional Draft Status in the most recent 2016 RJJL Youth Entry Draft and put onto a pretty weak Irisgrad Hussars roster. Other defensemen who were given the exceptional draft status were Mejer Doristram (ooh) and OJL superstar defenseman Qas Vemisfort.

Anyways, he'll be making his international debut this upcoming WJHC. If anyone wants to work something out before hand, either reply to this or TG me.

Also do we want to make a discord? I think it would be dope.

We are at 29 signups for WJHC. If one more signs up, I'll wait for 24 more hours to see if we can stretch it to 32 and otherwise start the IC thread with 30, so if you're interested, go sign up!

Unnecessary. There isn't enough sports talk on regular NSSports channels to warrant specific channels for specific sports.

Technically yes, although this is an OOC thread for international ice hockey in general; WCoH, WJHC, Hockey Champions League, you name it.

Also, quick question: Do you have a scorinator? Because you mentioned in the NSCYH signups that you'd like to host part of it and you pretty much need a scorinator (i.e. Xkoranate) in order to generate results.

That must be very handy.

Besides, I think most of my players from the last WJHC would be active to play but a) I didn't really do that well in that tournament (as I did one RP before I started procrastinating or got busy with other things) and b) I'm giving this a couple of tournies before I step back in.

Agreed. And with Musterfield signing up, it means you have six teams in each conference. I mean it's not much but at least it's better than nothing.
