Southern Democratic States wins!

Southern Democratic States national baseball team won 4-2 and takes the 3rd place in group B. The starting pitcher was Alejandro Gonzalez for the Southern Bears and Starting Pitcher #2 for Paymina. Paymina were batting first. The first batter was grounded out. Same with the 2nd batter. The 3rd batter hitted a solo homerun in the left field. Paymina took the lead 1-0.

Then, the game was quiet until the bottom 4th inning. The first batter for SDS was Nate O'Flaherty and he hitted a single. Travis Layne striked out. Then, the designated hitter Tyson Lindsay hits an homerun. SDS leads 2-0. After the homerun, Nick Riefenhauser was ground out. Michael Fiedler and Noah Murphy both hits singles. Jared Hanson striked out with two runners left on the bases.

The first batter in the bottom five inning was Randall Worth and he hitted a single. Then he stole the 2nd base. Mary Jane Castro walked. Nate O'Flaherty hits a double, Worth scored. Castro is at the 3rd base. Travis Layne hitted a sacrifice fly, Castro scored and O'Flaherty stays at the 2nd base. The score is 4-1 at this time. Tyson Linsday hits a single, O'Flaherty advances at the 3rd base. Then Nick Riefenhauser is out in a double play.

Paymina added another run in the 7th inning and the score was 4-2 for the Southern Democratic States. Alejandro Gonzalez pitched 7 innings, allowing 2 runs, 5 hits and 1 walk. He striked out 8 batters and got the win. Jarrod Finnegan pitched 1 inning, allowing no runs, no hits, no walk and striked out 1 batter. He also got the save. For Paymina, Starting Pitched #2 pitched 4 1/3 inning allowing 4 runs 7 hits 2 walks. He striked out 4 batters and got the lost.

Something cracked on his head, delivering a blinding burst of pain. Not that it mattered, his eyes being closed, but it still didn't feel too great.

"Get up! You are in violation of Atlantean Esportiva law," a stern voice yelled at him. "As of six hours ago, the entirety of West Esportiva - everything east of Inferiore Lane - is now territory of the Atlantean Republic of Oceania."

"Oceanside took over the region?" Llama mumbled. "I knew Evil Grantica was up to something."

The thing - revealed to be a nightstick - smashed into his head again. He groaned, crumpling to the ground and wondering why the policeman would be dumb enough to use a nightstick during the day. Somehow he was lifted to Terrabonate Lane and dumped there unceremoniously, and, being unconscious, stayed there until the next day.

For the first time in what seemed to be ages, Wolfie opened his eyes and saw...nothing. An absolutely dark void, bereft of matter and purpose. He was truly alone in the emptiness, floating along in the vacuum.

He looked down and saw nothing. So this was what being dead felt like. Fairly boring activity.

For cosmic ages he drifted along on a sightseeing tour of nothing. There was nobody around and he began to slowly lose his mind, until he was just a barely-feeling void drifting around in a larger one. The explosion had been sudden - he'd had no time to get out, and at the last second, diving for the safety of the bubble, it had been stern and unforgiving, keeping him out even as it burst and destroyed half of Esportiva, leaving only ruins behind.

And then he'd ended up here. There'd been a lot of delay, something about changing governors from Juan Tzimisces to the legendary, mononymously-dubbed Wight (it was rumored to be a condensed form of Wesley Wright, but even the creator of the myth, after a few bribes, said it was an awful rumor and not in the least bit true). But now, he was free to drift about doing nothing for eternity, no longer tied up in bureaucratic red tape preventing him from being truly dead.

Yayyyyyy.

Sem saw the new guy, Jeck, staring at the new map of Esportiva someone had given him. The site of the Esportivan's former flat, as well as a considerable amount of other residential areas, Guayabal's and Glo's amongst them - had been completely levelled and then annexed by the AOspiracy. And Valanora didn't appear to be up for stopping at thirteen or so places. He'd seen maps at Valanora's desk, and they were full of grand plans to sweep through the rest of the south and then work their way up the large number of shops up the east of Esportiva, from there acquiring the firepower to sweep through the rest of it and move on to Rushmore.

Sem's puppet-bots were working well, travelling the streets and planting various objects underneath shops and houses that could be detonated for a quick distraction when the time came. Smoke bombs seemed to be a favorite, although many advocated for something with more firepower. There were so many he could barely recognize all of them, but he managed it.

"How's the new prototype working?" The new prototype was a combat robot that Sem had high hopes for. It would simulate normal behavior until somebody hit the trigger, whereupon it could take out a good deal of the nearby population with fire. The legal costs would be immense, and so far it was considered only as a last resort, but they were confident it could win the war.

"Fairly well," Jeck said, "we'll be deploying it by the end of the week."

"That's good," Sem said. The new prototype didn't have the kill-with-fire option, only a few built-in weapons and the ability to fight hand-to-hand if the switch was flipped. If it could replicate behavior and maybe shoot up a few, the war would be nearly won..

We play them...Maklohi Vai...Again

Here is a broadcast about the match against Maklohi Vai with Max Branning and Lou Marsh.

Max: Hello Britonisea! Welcome to The Round of 16 of The World Baseball Classic 32. We have reach the Round of 16 once again and we are playing...guess who?

Lou: Maklohi Vai. The broke our 100% win record putting a dent in our play and our Ro16 standings. For the first 7 matches we beat the nations and then they abolished us in the final few matches.

Max: So let's talk about a few of the nations.

Lou: Firstly, San Jose Guayabal. With them coming first with only loosing one match, they have a very good chance against Hicana.

Max: I totally agree with you, I don't think that Hicana will get through the next round. I mean, they done very well this edition. I am not going to lie.

Lou: Thanks. What about Gregoryisgodistan and The Royal Kingdom of Qubec.

Max: It will be an interesting match between you and me know that the Qubecians are much better than Gregoryisgodistan, that's my opinion.

Lou: True, but, Gregoryisgodistan came second overall. That has volume.

Max: I am sick of talking about Gregoryisgodistan, let's say The Royal Kingdom will win.

Lou: If you want. Let's talk about 1 match until we talk about the Britonish match. What about Jeckland and Nassua Hessen.

Max: Do you mean Nassau Hessen? Well, I don't know the logistics, but based on this tournament alone, Jeckland could crush them. I think that they'll win.

Lou: Okay, I think that Nassau will conquer. I feel it in my bones.

Max: Creepy...Anyway, in the smallest stadium of all of them, we have the Britonish-Maklohi Vian match. Maklohi Vian or Maklohian, I am not sure.

Lou: This match will be very interesting because Britonisea has a higher percentage of winning but on both occasions, Maklohi Vai has beaten Britonisea which lead to them being 6th.

Max: I totally agree. Britonisea has to work very hard. We have to go, bye Britonisea.

"... I was there. It was horrible.

I was awoken to my house been shaken by some force. At first, I thought it was an earthquake, so I ran out my house. I was mistaken. I looked to the sky, and I saw this pillar of smoke rising into the atmosphere. Then, the airplanes descended from their high altitude over the city docks. They begun to release the explosives over the docks. The ground shook at each impact.

Only few minutes passed when military vehicles were speeding to the scene. Firetrucks, police cars, and ambulances did not go unnoticed with their sirens booming throughout this part of the city.

The noise, the cries, the calls from help - it's something I will never be able to forget. It has marked me.

It all happened on Christmas day, too. A day of hope, of peace, and of joy was quickly converted into a day of discouragement, of violence, and of sadness. Prior to noon, planes begun to fall from the sky. They crashed into almost anything, it being the ocean, a building, or the fields.

However, it seemed that they just wanted to destroy the docks, as that was the only place they seemed the attack. I was evaluated from the city. Jarille was also a guarded village. We were all sent to another one, and I do not know what was the fate of Jarille."

"... Wow! It was such a successful battle. First victory for the islands, hopefully more are to come! The planes went in and accomplish their mission. Yes, people died, but many more died the day they attacked our beloved City of Star.

I was pilot of one the planes that went in, and I had the honor to begin the invasion, and I sure did. The bomb fell to the earth and impacted as such. The others followed.

I was in command of six planes, including my own, and four of them were lost. They were shot down to the ground. Two of the four crashed into the ocean, while the other two on land. I lack the knowledge of their locations, and if they are still alive. They were my friends, and now they're lost while fighting for the Republic!

Onward, we shall go. Long live the republic!"
