Apologies for all my opponents in the last two weeks. I was super excited to RP for this Bowl and everything, but it turns out that roadtripping across the country and spending several days in a national forest at that aren't exactly the best way to get RPing done.

I'll be on the road for the next 2 days as well, so I'll probably be out before I'm able to RP again. Even so, good luck to all the remaining quarterfinalists! I'll be around next Bowl for sure.

That's absolutely fine! You are always allowed to RP after you've been eliminated, and after the tourney just ended.

Thanks all for the great tournament! I loved this format and I'm happy Banija proposed and got to run it, there are so many possible storylines and rivalries in there. Thanks to the hosts, the losing finalist and all RPers along the way!

Now to go for a repeat (and inevitably fail)!

Alright, I think we're about due for new sign-ups. That's the first order of business.

As many of you have noticed, my involvement has fallen off the last few editions of the World Bowl. I've been World Bowl President for a length of time that I'm pretty sure isn't constitutionally allowed, due to generally forgetting to hold election, and in light of my declining involvement (I'm afraid life's been busy on my end, and my heart just hasn't really been in the World Bowl the way it used to be, as well as generally having less drive to write the last few years in-general). I'm optimistic that that will come back, and I hope to still be involved in the World Bowl (I'm happy to help with things if people need), but I think it's about time we pass on that World Bowl Presidency to someone else who can be more responsive and generally give this event the attention and energy it deserves.

To that end, I'll go ahead and get sign-ups started unless people are really against it, but we're also going to concurrently hold elections; I will remain president through the conclusion of this upcoming World Bowl, and whoever is elected as the next President will take over from there.

I think World Cup qualifying is going to start soonish (BoF has about a week to go) but we might as well get signups going regardless and try to squeeze the tournament in after qualifying.

I'd be in favor of doing this cycle's World Bowl after WC qualifying and then running the next cycle on a short turnaround because it'll likely be NFL playoff time around the time the NSWC cycle ends. Though maybe that's just me wanting 2 opportunities to win a World Bowl with this nation.

Are we still doing Presidential nominations as well?

Yup. Should we do that in the Sign-Up thread? I was just assuming we'd do it in this thread, but we can do it there if people would prefer that.

Nominations can be put forward by any World Bowl Committee member, but they do require a second and an acceptance from the nominee in question. Timeframe can either be ahead of the World Bowl, or during, so as to have the changeover happen at the conclusion of 38.
