Is this what it feels like to be Valanora, or Star in the World Cup. I haven't even been able to rp almost at all and i'm back in the final. Sorry to those who got knocked out by me really. If I win again I might have to retire from the World Bowl again. Though last comeback i made it back to the playoffs the first time around. Maybe its just the system knows Taeshani's are good at football. Jeesh.

Invitations have been provided for each of Drawkland and Taeshan to bring a marching band of their own, and to each perform individually in front of the Emperor. We’ve heard marching bands from Drawkland are pretty good, so even if you want to follow the baseball game, it might be worth turning your attention away from it for the moment and to listen to their performance if they accepted the invitation.

For IC purposes, the Sadeg State University Marching Hawks will be the ones accepting this invitation, since SSU is Drawkland's current NSCF representative, and also because Dustin Beck graduated from SSU last season.

Commiserations to Taeshan! It was a well-fought game for sure. Once again, actually RPing a tournament seems to benefit me greatly. Commiserations to everyone else who participated as well, it was a great tournament all around. Hopefully you new guys stick around, I saw some nice RPs out there.

Congrats to Drakland and good job Newmanistan for hosting the World Bowl XXXV. I must admit that I wasn't happy when I lost against Abhanfleft but one of us had to lose. What stinks is that I didn't made the top 4 since I won it.

I think its probably a good time for it. Its been around a month since the World Cup finished, the WBC's been over for a few weeks, NSCF is over, etc. We're also getting close to the NFL playoffs and the NCAA bowl games so timing is more or less perfect right now.

Noted, but it's impossible to do NS Sports events without some amount of overlap occurring with some major event.

We're long overdue for a World Bowl (in large part my fault), I'm going to get it rolling unless there's major sentiment in the community that it needs to be delayed further.

If signups opened around now, the World Bowl could finish around the start of the Olympics (if we get a host bid quickly). If we wait until after the Olympics to open signups, its probably running during the World Cup (and after the Super Bowl).

I have tentatively set the conclusion of host bidding to be the end of this month (midnight between November 30th and December 1st), which allows two-and-a-half weeks. That can be adjusted (either longer or shorter) if people think an adjustment is appropriate to either get this rolling more quickly, or to allow more time for bids to be written.
