Well you would have only missed three matchdays tbh and this CoH has basically been Margaret on a two week coke bender so far, you have had a fair shot.

OOC: When Scoring these games I discovered something rather unfortunate. Apprently TJUN-ia had mistakenly been given a KPBRank of 78.2 when it should have been 7.82. Due to this I had to rescore the TJUN-ia / Sarzonia match. So when I re scored the game it turned into a Sartzonia 4 TJUN-ia 3 scoreline. APologies to both parties involved, but I had to go back and fix this to make the game more fair. Both of you guys will still retain your RP Bonus from this game but the results have changed in the score line in MD3 and basically now Sarzonia and TJUN-ia will have swapped places.

I just noticed this. This in itself was a fine way to solve the issue of the TJUN-ia-Sarzonia match, but does this not also reveal another problem potentially going on in Groups E-G? What is max points set at here? When setting up the xkoranate file and editing the KPB values, xkoranate will not allow you to enter the value of "78.2" unless the max point value was 78.2 or higher. The top ranked team in E-G had a KPB of 17.42 before the tournament began, so max points should not be over 78.2, or even near it. This would therefore keep xkoranate from seeing the good teams as being good teams and decrease the advantage a 17.42 should have when they play a 6.00, for example.

But if you use xkoronate, you cannot set max points for each group, only the whole tournament. It’s perfectly fine, imo, to set max points to top KPB (of the current world #1, not the top seed) for all groups, or even if the top nation isn’t in the tournament. That enables xkoronate to see how close the nations are to each other within a global context. The lowest ranked pot 1 team should not be considered to have the same comparative strength as the top seed, just because they are placed in different groups. Likewise, a team with say, 2 KPB, should have the same chance against a similar ranked team regardless of the rank of the top seed in their group.

Yes, there was a missunderstanding on my end about how "max points" worked. I had set the Min-Max to 0-100 as per what most people have told me they use for their domestic scoring. Since I had used 0-1000 for my domestic league I thought that 0-100 would be more fair. This was under the presumption that "Max Points" was only the max amount that any team should have at a MD, not that it was the actual Max skill points for the Min-Max Modifier. I wish I had known this earlier but It will be rectified for MD5 and the playoffs. Also yes, no one had an unrealistically high KPB, me and Banija set a max RP Bonus and I have been following it strictly So no one has gone anywhere near a unrealistically high level of VIlita, aside from the one typo that occurred in MD3.

I had so much fun reading all the happenings during the world cup and especially the cup of harmony. This was the first time in quite a while I have been able to be active in the sports community again and it was awesome. You people never stop amazing me. ^^

Whether it's been collaborating with people on various storylines (those who helped out with my manager who committed suicide, Squornshelous for helping RP the tensions between our countries, Kelssek for sowing the seeds for a new football rivalry) or just building your own worlds with the countries and teams you portray, this has been an absolute blast.
