It has been brought to my attention that there was a significant error in the rankings, one that would put a couple people at a particular unfair disadvantage, in my opinion. Because there is ample time to do this before beginning on Friday, the best thing to do is to nip it in the bud now and re-draw the groups. This will be done today.

There is probably good RP material based on everything that happened yesterday for an IC reason to be made of it. I’m a little frustrated with myself right now to come up with an IC reason for it though.

OOCly, if anyone wants to point a frustrated with the hosts finger over this please point that to me and not BP.

Okay. I'll give it a couple of days to see whether you do come up with one.
(I actually have a "plausible" IC explanation if it was really "just OOC", in the context of my own fairly recent retcon - -which itself is recognised IC as an anomaly by some of the Bears -- of the dates over which the Bears' history of activity in international sports took place...)

I'd like to thank the hosts for handling this correctly and professionally. Given the circumstances it felt like things were corrected very smoothly. (I even got to see the second draw after missing the first!) I hope you two aren't too hard on yourselves about this because I don't think anyone assigns you any blame at all.

Not sure what the error was specifically, but I'm glad it was caught and rectified in time.

I didn't have any RP angles for the original draw, but I have a wealth of options for this re-draw!

I was just going back through the RP for the BoF, and I am excited as a co-host, at the level of quality that was exhibited by those who contributed, even those who only RP'd a few times.

We thank all of you for your patience and understanding regarding the draw. I did enjoy that we got 2 days of good IC banter, and I got a lot of practice spelling all of the names of the nations involved. ;)

As a sign of goodwill, we at the Football Association of the Commonwealth will be sacrificing to Margaret on behalf of all 165 competitors come Friday, so Cheers!

You can sign up via the following: www.NSWCFantasy.com/Signup which takes you to a Google Doc. Go to the 'Copy and Rename this sheet' sheet and, well, do as it says. I'll copy everyone's entries to the Master sheet when I get to it.

For now I'm asking you to keep track of your own points, I can't promise to keep it updated for a lot of entries for the duration of WCQ...

How do I get my points to show up in the main sheet? Or do you have to do that?

"Reserving" a post for your RP or roster is not a good idea as it is a good way for the host to miss your RP or roster which can mean you might get 0 bonus for it. If you have an unfinished RP and need to save it, there is the "Save draft" button which will save your unfinished RP. There's no need to post an RP in an unfinished state unless you're rushing to get something in before cutoff.

The reason why hosts "reserve" a few posts at the beginning of a thread is so that there is a convenient place to find important information such as group draws and IC information about the host nations.

For anyone interested in "making things a little more interesting," as they say in the movies, I'd like to start a betting pool riding on the fantasy football sheet. We'll gamble using the nationstates trading cards. I was thinking everybody could wager a legendary card, but we could do epic or something if people can't afford that.

Had the recent results from the last cutoffs appeared yet? I been checking back at the cutoff, but I saw nothing?
