Now that's what I call a reputable front line. Fear us, the 18-20th ranked nation strikers!!

And of course, congrats to Brenecia for finally shaking off the "not as good as Nephara" label, if just for one cycle. Commiserations to THE of course, being *that* close to joining the 5-time club must sting a little! Commiserations to Farf as well, because losing two 3PPOs in a row is also no picnic.

A round of applause for our hosts, who did a great job hosting a well-oiled machine of a cup. Here's to another great cycle!

Hey guys. Haven't fired him yet but Comi will be fired before the CE, so if you have any managers that would be good managers for Ethane - looking to break into the world cup beyond the groups - then ping me a TG, on IRC, or on Discord. Thanks.

Not really.

You can't win everything.

I'm disappointed to lose in a final, of course, but I've made nine finals and won four of them. That's more than enough to be satisfied with; most people would be very happy with that record.

Any other nation with one exception: The 'mighty' Audioslavia. Nine finals, with two wins and seven defeats.

Congratulations Brenecia (Brenecia!!!?!) on their World Cup triumph, and also to Mercedini who became Cup of Harmony champions the other day after a penalty shoot-out victory over a bunch of chokers who shall remain nameless.

With the Nationstates World Cup just five days away (I am starting to break out in World Cup fever here) are we going to get signups started sooner rather than later? Bids in the works, anyone?

Congrats on Brenecia for winning the World Cup, bringing it back to Esportiva once again. I'd have said this earlier but I'm currently studying for my university exams and whatnot. Also congrats to Mercedini for winning the CoH. Glad you did, otherwise we'd have to discuss a couple of matters, ergo me, you and a certain high vibration sword. Just wanted to say I had fun through most of the cycle, although it started rather frustrating for me.

Hopefully, this experience wised me up for next time around, which will hopefully happen after I get an internship next semester. I'll probably do something to celebrate in Wednesday, after my exams. See y'all til then.

I have emerged out of the cave which is known as the dreaded end-of-year exams. I will be in a good set for next year when I start my GCSE course.

Anyways, congratulations to Brenecia and Mercedini for winning the World Cup and CoH respectively. Commiserations to The Holy Empire and Audioslavia. Now that things at home are getting better, I will be getting more involved in NS Sports.

Next cycle, I will RP like hell to get into the CoH, but I don't want a repeat of what happened this cycle...
2nd place finish in BoF 66. There's more to come! Hopefully..

First of all, congratulations to Brenecia, and commiserations to the Holly Empire. I can't quite believe Jim Reid managed a side to the World Cup title, but I'm sure stranger things have happened... maybe. (All jokes aside, well done Neph, very much deserved.) A big thank you also to the hosts, as well as my sincere apologies for not being so involved this time round. It was not my intention to leave a story half finished.

Everything has just seemed to kick off at once for me in RL, and while that's fantastic, it also means that I've had to make a difficult decision regarding my involvements here. I've really enjoyed being a part of this ongoing collaborative writing project, and being able to play a small part in the long history of sports RP on this site. However I think it's probably time for me to hang up my imaginary boots. I'm not going to make a list of all the people I need to thank, because I'd inevitably forget someone - plus you know who you are. To those of you who I'm particularly close to, if you sent me a TG, I'll give you my email address if you'd like to stay in touch.

In terms of housekeeping (I'm aware I have a lot of players in a lot of leagues out there):

So... if you have players in the SPL, or the Super-League of Port Christopher, obviously you're free to take them back or put them on the transfer list. Feel free to assume that my clubs accept any reasonable offer. If you'd prefer, you can also say that they still play in Schottia/Port Christopher. For the sake of storyline, lets assume that Schottia gave up its UICA accreditation due to strict new advertising laws within the country.

Regarding the Schottians/Christopherans playing/managing abroad, you're very welcome to keep playing them. I would prefer it, however, if you didn't cap any of them. Should I return some day, I would ideally like to pick up these story lines again. The only exception to this is obviously where I have already agreed that a player has dual nationality, and where it's a shared character.

I genuinely wish everyone here all the best for the future. I've had a great time over the years, and hopefully I can find a way to contribute again some day.

You've had a great run in NS Sports so far, Schottia, and I know from personal experience how much time we need to take out of RL in order to do this little hobby of ours to the extent that we'd all like. Let your RL take precedence, as it should, and we'll keep the forum warm for you whenever you're able to return to us. Good luck!

My initial reaction: “Noooooooooooooo...”

My reasoned reaction: I’m delighted that things are looking up for you in life, Schottia. Through my many interactions and conversations with you over the years, I can genuinely say that I know you to be a great human being (not to mention a sensational RPer and contributor to the NS footieverse). While Schottia, its league and its characters will be sorely missed, the user behind them all will be missed most of all. I’m sure you will accomplish what you are setting your mind to now in real life just as you accomplished most everything you set your mind to here. I too have a feeling you will eventually be back, however, so I’ll keep the Schottic in Cosumar going strong for ya ;)
