Pretty good. only 6-5 loss to Eura, 1-0 win against Pasarga, but then again, why did I have to draw with a eliminated team?

I find it rather depressing that any attempt to start a discussion about problems in this community caused by the toxic management of the NS Sports discord (formerly the IRC channel) is immediately shut down either by getting a mod to lock it as "off topic" when openly discussing toxic elements of a community obviously that are driving other community members away obviously is on topic or (if posted in this thread) by flooding this thread with nonsensical spam posts about Margaret.

What's most disturbing though is how nobody actually seems to care about discussing the topic of discord toxicity and the numerous people who have left because of it. The only conclusion I can reach from this is that everybody left in the NS Sports community is either actively involved in it or they simply don't care enough to speak out against it (or they're too new to know what I'm talking about or even who I am). To those who choose to "get along" rather than speak up against those driving others out of this community, I wish you the best of luck with Margaret and I hope the crocodiles eat you last.

I find it rather depressing that you're still attempting to fan the fires of an offsite issue that happened two months ago. People chose to change the subject because a line has been drawn under it by the majority of the community. It's a shame really because some of the previous post that got ignored is relevant. Where you defended yourself against misinformation, for instance. Also, referring your WBC post as to what happened to FFR the nation.

This is not the place, however, to debate a discord channel, even a relevant one such as NSS. Honestly I'm not sure where is on site. Perhaps this is something to run by the mods when you submit the GHR that Starblaydia suggested?

Hey guys,

I'm firing my manager and am going to replace him with another manager. So there's two parts here:
- Has anyone got a manager suitable for Ethane (top 50 ranked, previously 8th after WC81, looking up but unlikely to qualify this cycle).
- And does anyone want my manager?

I'm someone who frequently needs to take breaks from Discord because strong personalities are getting too strong, so I think it's worth remembering that not everyone has the same sense of humor as (generic) you or is going to view things the same way. Sometimes silence doesn't mean agreement, it means "I don't agree but I respect that your views are probably just as deep-rooted as mine, and since I wouldn't want you to talk at me and fail at changing my mind, I won't do the same to you."

I also find that putting very indirect passive-aggressive commentary (rather than summaries of my political views) in my signature gives me the fun smugly-righteous feelings, but that may just be me.

I was reluctant to comment on this and don't want to generate a substantial conversation here and distract from the topic. However, as one of the mods on the Discord which is used by a substantial portion of this community, I don't think it is right for your comment to go unchallenged, and newer users reading your posts deserve full context.

The NS Sport Discord is enjoyed by a wide range of members of the NS Sport community in large numbers, reflecting perhaps the increase in NS Sport users we've seen during 2020, the vast majority of whom get on with each other just fine. It has a varying assortment of channels to discuss different topics such as different types of NS sport (international/domestic), NS world building, real life interest areas, the technical side of NS Sport (scorinators and such) and more. We also have a current affairs channel for "rowdy within reason" debate and discussion of serious issues like politics. This is specifically because a lot of users don't want to talk about that kind of thing, while some really do, so creating a distinct space makes sense. I'd encourage anyone here who hasn't had the chance to visit the Discord to do so, and I hope we'll get to see more of you there soon.

Because the community there and here are great, the Discord requires only light moderation. The team of a dozen or so mods and admins do step in sometimes, but usually we don't need to. We communicate regularly and check our decisions with one another, and regularly discuss how we can improve the Discord to get the best out of it for everyone. When we have to go as far as removing someone from the chat for a period of time, we don't do it lightly unless they're some random spammer, and we have a rationale for why. This isn't something we have to do with many people; most of our mod actions are minor nudges to remind people to behave, or keep discussion on topic. There are some rules and guidelines but we appreciate people make misjudgements and that bopping them over the head for every single faux pas is counterproductive. We wouldn't come down hard on someone unless we felt they were either overtly unpleasant to others or actively harmful.

This is where we come to your case. Those who are out of the loop reading your post above and previous posts of yours probably deserve to know you have a rather massive conflict of interest here - that you were removed from the Discord after becoming one of the very few people who couldn't live up to the spirit of the Discord. You spent a long period of time antagonising a substantial group of users with some extremely inflammatory commentary, mainly concerning politics. This upset some, riled up others and threatened to put others off using the server. Your behaviour was tolerated to a point because we allow a very wide range of views, but you spiraled and a decision was taken to suspend you from the current affairs channel. (I've only mentioned the politics as its important for context on this specific point - others here, please do not take this as a prompt to turn this into an NSG thread).

This decision was explained to you by an admin, who you reacted to in a...let's call it "unproductive" way. You chose to get around your suspension by spamming politics-related links to the lobby chat for general and miscellaneous discussion, berating another admin for removing them. This is in direct contravention of the principles discussed above. At that point the second admin had to remove you from the server, to which you have reacted on this forum in a manner that has done nothing to help your case. Were this the first time this has happened, I'd be more sympathetic. But it isn't. A few years ago you did exactly the same thing on the IRC and reacted in exactly the same way (maybe worse actually). There's no sign you learned any lessons from the period of reflection that followed.

As I've outlined above, the Discord is used by a lot of people for a lot of things - but above all it is supposed to be a friendly environment, welcoming to the whole NS Sport community with only a small set of expectations from the mods/admins. Using it is a privilege, not a right, and you forfeited that privilege with your behaviour. I suggest you move on from this rather than wasting your time selling a product no-one is buying.

Right so I am someone who is rarely involved in the community, yet still a part of it and I did not want to comment on you but after some thought something just came on my mind.

All I have seen from you in the past two months is absolute toxic and demeaning behaviour, I think my first run in with the discord of the NS Sports community was your entire conflict, name calling and turning everything into a political debate which eventually led to entire flame wars. (This is till this day why I mostly stay clear of the discord channel as a whole so congratulations.)

After which the admins on discord took action you decided to lash out to the entire community, even those who had nothing to do with your conflict, and proceeded to even demean them because they were a part of the NS Sports community.

From what I have perceived from all this is that you are a most unpleasant person who can not let things go and like your recent posts show; are mostly looking for an excuse to call out people and cause conflicts subsequently trying to derail topics and trying to smear and slander literally everyone in the NS Sports community; even those who have literally nothing to do anything at all with your little conflict of interests.

Sorry, I just had to get that out of my system; now back to more pleasant things and await the crushing reality of which is random scorination.
