Could the hosts clarify whether the home team is listed first or second in individual scores in the scores thread?

The OP of the RP thread states that MD1 was 1v10, which would suggest that the Holy Empire was the home team against Brusseldorf (as assumed by Brusseldorf's RP). However the scores thread lists Brusseldorf first and the Holy Empire second, which would normally suggest that Brusseldorf was the home team.

This impacts my potential response to Brusseldorf's RP - eg whether his newspaper was IC'ly confused about the venue, or is listing the venue correctly.

Its absolutely possible to lose ground, especially if you're already near the top of the rankings.

Before I took the FFR out of the WC for 2 or 3 cycles, my rank dropped from #4 prior to the WC72 finals to somewhere in the 30s or 40s over the course of several cycles of bad WC group stages and non-qualifications.

You can determine whether you need to do better or worse than last cycle to hold your rank by adding your values in AA and AC and dividing those by 2 and comparing the results to the sum of your values in AC and AE. Currently, I have 8, 3.44 and 2.11 points for my last 3 qualifying runs. 3.44/2 = 1.72. 8/2 = 4. 1.72+4 = 5.72 while 3.44+2.11 = 5.55 so I will gain KPB points if I get 36 points in qualifying.

You can figure out exactly how many points you need to hold your rank by determining the difference between those values and subtracting it from the total in AA. Then divide that by 4 and multiply by 18. For me, I need 7.83 KPB points (5.72 - 5.55 = 0.17 and 8-0.17 = 7.83) which comes out to 35.235 points in WCQs.

In Santa Regada's case, they have 6 points from WCQ 81, 0 from WCQ 80 and 1.5 from WCQ 79 so would have a KPB of 3 with a winless WCQ. To obtain 4.5 KPB points, they would need to obtain 20.25 points in Qualifying, which is 6.75 points worse than their performance in both WCQ 81 and WCQ 79. That's possible but would probably be an unlucky qualifying run even for a non-RPing team that is ranked 101st.

Of course it is.

The Holy Empire were ranked in the top 5 (I think) in WC81, and are now 12th. They've been ranked 1st at least twice, and have fallen as low as (I think) the 20s since they were last ranked 1st.

I know there are any number of nations who'd love to be 12th, never mind 1st; but variation in rank over time is simply part and parcel of WC participation.
