A wild WCoH 25 Host Bid by Royal Kingdom of Quebec and Vaugania!

OOC Information

Royal Kingdom of Quebec has been an active part of NS Sports for about a year and half now, participating in every WCoH since its 19th edition. Vaugania appeared at NS Sports in around the same time, also started his participation at WCoH in the 19th edition. The user behind the Royal Kingdom of Quebec has hosted Baptism of Iron XIV and XV, all three editions of NSCAA Ice Hockey (which he organised and co-hosted with Michael VII, Cassadaigua and Vaugania), as well as co-hosting 2 seasons of NSCF. On recent days, after being voted as the 1st President of World Cup of Hockey Federation, he has hosted Royal Alexandre Hockey Invitationals, World Junior Hockey Championships VI and outside of hockey, World Bowl XXIV with Vettrera.

Vaugania has been an active of a member at NS Sports circuit, joining his first WCoH at the very same edition his runningmate started(WCoH 19). Since then, he has hosted the World Korfball Classic 2, World Indoor Soccer Championship 6, and co-hosting both editions of NSCAA Ice Hockey with Quebec. And last, but not the least, he has hosted a major part of NSCAA 6, as well as the entirety of World Baseball Classic 28. Both Quebec and Vaugania hopes that this bid will provide both users and nations enough experience for future.

IC Information

Empire of the Royal Kingdom of Quebec is a fairly large nation located in the Northwestern corner of Atlantian Oceania. It is a multicultural nation consisting of four predominant(English, French, Korean and First Nations) and many complementary ethnicities and cultures. Being located far north of AO, hockey is a very popular sport, being played in almost every part of and by almost everyone in the country. Quebec Hockey League currently is the most international and financially successful of all the hockey leagues on NSverse, It also draws Junior levels of hockey are extremely well followed, with many QMJHL(OOC: IC equivalent of CHL in Canada) teams regularly recording +10,000 people in attendance for games. Catholic Republic of Vaugania is a medium-sized nation located in the Southeastern Rushmore. A nation also full of ethnic diversity and snow, it is very well known for its love of sports. In terms of hockey, Vauganian National Hockey Team has been on ice for years, as a respectable, dangerous opponent, while VHL has been financially and talented-wise, successful and high-quality of a major hockey league.

Scorination

Scorination will be done in the latest version of xkoranate on the ice hockey function, using the modifiers that Saintland has created. Style Modifiers will be from -5 to +5. RPs will be scored from 0 to 3 and the criteria for judging them is based mainly and creativity and how well written they are. RP bonus will serve as a significant factor in the scorination. They will be cumulative. Rosters will also be graded and shall be equivalent to a matchday.
There might also be bonus RP opportunities (that you can ignore if you want) next to some of the scorinated matches for Quebecois half, which many of you have already experienced through most competitions that Quebec has hosted.

Cutoff and Timeframe

If we'll ever be chosen as the host, the everything thread will be up as soon as possible, based on the availability of hosts. Based on the timeframe that we have set for the time being, the most likely date for MD1 scorination will be 17th of October. Groups will be drawn 3 days prior to the MD1 scorination, so at the 14th. Exact cutoff time range for scorination will be released at the much later date, though it is very likely that for Quebecois half, it'll be around 16:00 (Toronto-NYC Time), and on Vauganian half 20:30 (Chicago Time). If there's a need for any expected scorination changes by the host, the host concerned will announce it at least 12 hours before the intended scorination time.

Format

Right now, with the record number of signups, it'd make lot more sense to expand the format. So, if elected, we'll cutoff the signup at 64, with flexibility available in case of more signups(preferably 72 in that instance).
These teams then, using pots, will be divided into 8 groups of 8 each. It would be a single round robin format, all playing in either Quebec or Vaugania. Top 2 teams per group will advance into the playoffs after qualifying stage, where then they'll be seeded using NHL, pre-2014 seedings. Playoff-wise NCAA bracket will be used, with no re-seeding. The tournament will use NHL ice dimensions and fight rules.

Well, I've been up Downtown far later than expected and didn't go to bed until 3.
That being said, it's 'bout time that there should be a cutoff for host bids. You have the following options:

1- Royal Kingdom of Quebec and Vaugania
2- Re-open host bids
3- Abstain

Please submit your vote to Gyatso-kai by the 9th of October, in around 0:00 EST (Toronto-New York time). Bidders are not allowed to vote and their votes will not be considered into the tally.
