Gomen's Redemption

Duke League V, another huge success and, to keep the tradition, the crown goes once again for a club that hadn't win it so far. Even though much was expected from Battle, crown holders of the season and with a respectful campaign in the Globe Cup, and from Knights, winners of the International Cup, the fight for the crown took place between two other teams: Polar Zenith, winners of DL-II, and Romans. And in the end, it ended up in the hands of the team with the best backstage work.

Romans direction was no doubt the one that worked the hardest to enforce the squad, hiring two pieces that proved key to Kampis Senturiondis' red-black side win its first crown: Paulo Gomen, former (and unsuccessful) Zarblese national coach, and Unitopolian midfielder Ernie Milestone.

The hiring of Gomen was an utter surprise in the beginning of the season. The coach had not done a great job in the national team, which ended last in its group in the WCQ, and had suffered an attack from the mob in Colosseum City, the very home of Romans, that permanently injured it's back and led him to a life in the wheelchair. Even so, he accepted to work for Romans and his command was fundamental for the club's achievment.

As for Milestone, he was the maestro of Romans in the many absences of Jenio Aladin, who was constantly playing for the national team. With his lead, the team was able not to feel so much the lack of his most important player and leader, and managed to keep a solid campaign.

Communiqué de presse · Press release

CF Aéropag formed
The owners of CF Mont-Pluie Jativa and Aeropag Penguins have agreed terms to merge their respective football clubs into a new entity, CF Aéropag. The club will begin its operations in 2190, as a member of l’Association des clubs francophones competing in Élite League One (unless both CF Mont-Pluie Jativa and Aeropag Penguins are relegated from Élite League One this season). CF Aéropag will play at the Penguins’ home Olympic Tower Stadium, and fill the Penguins’ place in the Aeropag Football Invitational. The new entity will be 60% publicly held, with the remaining shares divided equally between Aeropag Penguins Sport Club (which will continue its operations in ice hockey and other sports) and CF Mont-Pluie.

As both ancestor clubs are Élite League members, the club will have an additional league place which, according to PSC regulations, it may sell. While any number of domestic clubs will undoubtedly be interested in purchasing a place in Élite League One (or Élite League Two, if either CF Mont-Pluie Jativa or Aeropag Penguins is relegated this season—both teams qualified for the Globe Cup last season), interim CEO Lucas Léveillée is currently seeking offers from foreign consortia who may be willing to make a significant bid for a place in one of the world’s top football leagues. The purchaser would be required to establish a football club that will play its home games at a stadium in Paripana and is affiliated with one of the PSC’s six member associations; CF Aéropag is willing to assist prospective bidders in handling these requirements.

As part of the merger deal, Aeropag Penguins has purchased from the PSC an option to invite one team of its choosing (once the merger is complete, of CF Aéropag’s choosing) to each Aeropag Football Invitational, and has agreed to invite CF Mont-Pluie to every second edition of the tournament, starting with the sixth in 2191.

(OOC: Bids may be submitted to me by TG. Clubs that fail to win the bidding for the Élite League place may be able to enter the lower league of one of the four minor associations.)

Elemanu Football League I (837)

Teams:
Amori East Penguins (Black)
Amori West Orcas (Blue)
Damasa Seals (Orange)

Note that the Penguins and Orcas share a home ground in Amori Football Stadium (capacity ten thousand)

Rounds 1-4
Damasa Seals 0-1 Amori East Penguins
Amori East Penguins 0-0 Amori West Orcas
Amori West Orcas 1-1 Damasa Seals
Amori East Penguins 1-1 Damasa Seals

.Pos Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Amori East Penguins 3 1 2 0 2 1 1 5
2 Amori West Orcas 2 0 2 0 1 1 0 2
3 Damasa Seals 3 0 2 1 2 3 -1 2

The Penguins achieved the only win of the first month, defeating the Seals in the opening match at Damasa Football Park. Penguin striker Elsie Gillenwater did the damage in the 55th minute of the match. The remainder of the matches were a little disappointing as draws, with the Seals doing well as visitors against both the Orcas and Penguins.

Rounds 5-8
Amori West Orcas 0-2 Amori East Penguins
Damasa Seals 3-0 Amori West Orcas
Damasa Seals 1-0 Amori East Penguins
Amori East Penguins 1-1 Amori West Orcas

.Pos Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Amori East Penguins 6 2 3 1 5 3 2 9
2 Damasa Seals 5 2 2 1 6 3 3 8
3 Amori West Orcas 5 0 3 2 2 7 -5 3

A draw in the Amori derby meant the Penguins kept the lead at the end of the second month, with the Seals getting revenge in round seven for their first round defeat.

Rounds 9-12
Amori West Orcas 1-1 Damasa Seals
Amori East Penguins 1-0 Damasa Seals
Amori West Orcas 2-0 Amori East Penguins
Damasa Seals 1-1 Amori West Orcas

.Pos Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Amori East Penguins 8 3 3 2 6 5 1 12
2 Damasa Seals 8 2 4 2 8 6 2 10
3 Amori West Orcas 8 1 5 2 6 9 -3 8

A 88th minute goal to Seals striker Paul Madrigal was enough to keep his team in second spot and into the finals in the last round of the competition.

Final (Amori Football Stadium)
Amori East Penguins 1 (Gillenwater 44)
Damasa Seals 2 (Madrigal 23, 80)

The final match was thrilling, with the stands more than half full for the first time (for a football match). Seals star striker Paul Madrigal gave the home team and favourites a scare, scoring in the 23rd minute, but Penguins own star Elsie Gillenwater equalised just before half time. The second half was frenetic, with a number of chances from both sides, but it was Madrigal with ten minutes remaining that send the visitors into a lead that they wouldn't give up. A penalty shot in injury time by Gillenwater was saved, meaning the first Elemanu Football League championships went to the Damasa Seals.

Top Scorers
6 Paul Madrigal (Seals)
4 Elsie Gillenwater (Penguins)
3 Ryan Fredette (Orcas)

After a bit of a wait, the Albundanian Major Football League resumed the season, and the official standings are in:

Code: Select all
  Team                       P   W  D  L For  Ag  +/- Pts
 1 Illinopolis FC            18  11  3  4  24  16   +8  36
 2 Royal Egaigus             18   9  6  3  27  18   +9  33

10 Albundi City FC          18   1  7 10  13  28  -15  10

*Chicago Nuevo Fuego placed ahead of Liszeograd CF on Goal Difference

Illinopolis FC, a team not shockingly at the top of the list. One of the teams that usually make a run for the top, and they finally made it this year, snatching the title away from a searching Lemanskigrad FC and claiming their first title in the AMFL. Royal Egaigus place second for the second time in three seasons ever in the AMFL, and will have to wait another year before picking up the league title again. Arskanskigrad United are an expected candidate for the Globe Cup as well, but Dazaarki City are an unexpected candidate who no one really saw coming. This means that for the first time ever, Lemanskigrad United aren't in the top 2. An all around disappointment for the team sporting such household names such as Raul Ibanez and Martin Simpson. However, as it goes, Illinopolis FC are going to the TQCC while Royal Egaigus, Dazaarki City, and Arskanskigrad United are going to the Globe Cup.

However, that meant meant that the Copa del Albundania was ready to begin, with the following teams being seeded:

Quarter-Finals
Illinopolis FC 4-1 Albundi City United

Dazaarki City 0-2 Chicago Nuevo Fuego

Lemanskigrad United 4-1 Liszeograd FC

Arskanskigrad United 3-0 Royal Egaigus

Semi-Finals
Illinopolis FC 2-0 Chicago Nuevo Fuego

Lemanskigrad United 4-1 Arskanskigrad United

Final Match
Illinopolis FC 0-0 Lemanskigrad United (0-1 AET)

Lemanskigrad United have won their first Copa del Albundania

FC Naccionel will also join the AMFL for the 2025 Season as the 11th team. CF Lemanskigrad will join in the same season as the 12th team.

Tarrentum Premier Football League, 2011 Season (Season 2)

The Tarrentum Premier Football League (TPFL) finished up it's second season earlier this week. The TPFL and its 12 teams were formally reorganized into two divisions, the North and the South for this season and going forward. Football/Soccer in Tarrentum is a mid-level sport with high, but not enormous, numbers of fans who follow the sport through live television, newspapers, merchandise sales and, of course, watching live matches. Most television analysts believe that the fanbase for the sport will continue to grow as long as the National Team continues to perform well in international events, such as the World Cup. However with recently poor showings by clubs in the TakilQuip Champion's Cup and by the national team in WC 51 and the recent Cup of Harmony tournament have proven once again that most people in Tarrentum just simply don't care about the sport.

The Napoliroma Legion and FC Yuppers, the top two teams in the TPFL, made some waves with their high transfer offers for two Mantwenic players. The Legion were successful in picking up Mantwenic National Team member Cedric Harriot. Harriot plays in the MID and, at only 23 years old, was sought after as a top dollar transfer. The Legion paid out $3,550,099 for the rights to Harriot to come to the Imperium City. The FC Yuppers franchise, which represented the TPFL in the TQCC, just missed out on Defender Nathan Jenkins. Jenkins asking price of $900,000 was quickly ballooned into the multi-million category by the club's dogged attempts to bring Jenkins to Florentine. Eventually the club was outbid by one of the Eastfield Lodge clubs for Jenkins yet they made a name for themselves by showing they are will to spend large amounts to bring in coveted players to make the league better.

The Legion showed that they made the right move to bring Harriot over from Mantwenic as they narrowly beat out FC Yuppers to claim the top spot in the South Standings. The North was a division of attrition as there was no 20-game winning club during the league season. Becuase of the new divisions the TPFL held it's first Premier Cup event with the top three clubs from each division competiting to win the season.

In the finals, Napoliroma Legion defeated FC Yuppers to claim the Inaugural Premier Cup trophy. The 2-game series was dominated by the Legion on both sides of the ball:

Premier Cup Final
FC Yuppers 0-0 Napoliroma Legion (0-0 agg)
Napoliroma Legion 3-0 FC Yuppers (3-0 agg)

Cedric Harriot, unsurprisingly, was named Man of the Match in Game 1 while Jusef Zastromanami once again inflated his ego by scoring two goals in the second game to lead the Legion to victory.

UICA Bids
With the TPFL season over, the Napoliroma Legion will represent Tarrentum in the TakilQuip Champions Cup 24. FC Yuppers, Krozuy Academics (finishing third in the PC Cup) and the Lake Empress Brewsers (finishing fourth in the PC Cup) will represent the TPFL in the Globe Cup.

Meddician League Football finished up it's second season with a surprising finish in the standings. Both clubs in Kulami and Ventili finished with the exact same record! Though little enacted, the MLF laid out a 2-game playoff for the Kulami Boars and the Ventili Blue Stars in order to determine who exactly would win the league. Though there was some grumbling from Kulami that they should not have to play games becuase they were already on top of the standings, the TNFC stepped in and bluntly confirmed that a 2-game playoff would be held to determine the winner.

League Standings
MLF Standings

Despite the outcome of the 2-game playoff, MegOil Roughnecks and Kingdom's Own FCA were guaranteed spots to appear in the Chronowire Series B Championship Cup to be held later this year. The Meddician squads were ecstatic at the news and actually thanked the TNFC for it's generosity in allowing the full compliment of "Lower Series" teams to compete on the world stage.

The playoff games between Kulami and Ventili were highly attended by Meddicans of both clubs. Even some Tarburrites and Tarrentians made the journey to both Ventili and Kulami (about 45 stones [miles] apart) to see the games played. It was an enjoyable week and the Protectorate President of Meddicia had the government put on various events throughout the time between the games which instilled a joyous air about the capital and industrial center.

MLF Playoff Results
Game 1 (in Kulami): Kulami Boars 5-0 Ventili Blue Stars
Game 2 (in Ventili): Ventili Blue Stars 1-1 Kulami Boars (1-1 AET, 1-3 PKs)

The games were close, no one can deny that. The Kulami Boars pulled out to an early lead during Game 1 (held in Kulami) where the Blue Stars were forced to come back down 2-0 going into the half. The conservative Blue Stars couldn't must any great attacks against the Boars and Kulami eventually pulled away with a stunning hat trick by forward Bragon Derren.
In Game 2, held in Ventili, the clubs played to a draw in both match time and in Extra Time. The extra time goals were especially exciting. The Blue Stars put the ball in the back of the net right when the extra time was added on giving them a 2-1 lead but the Boars were able to muster up enough trickery and quick moves to catch the Ventili goalkeeper and defense completely off-guard and scored another goal before the end of regulation. The Boars then moved in for the kill during Penalty Kicks as Edgan Sayr, Blue Stars GK, looked thoroughly stunned by the late goal he gave up. With their win, the Boars were awarded the Royal Cup trophy for winning Meddician League Football.

UICA Bids
With MLF over, the Kulami Boars, Ventili Blue Stars, MegOil Roughnecks and King's Moutain FCA have been chosen to represent Tarrentum in the Chronowire Series B Champion's Cup.

VESC Premierre 2010 season

The first ever Premierre is getting underway soon, so let's have a look at the teams.

ZECCI CITY - Coach: Thao (Age 56)

A very good team as we've seen from the friendlies. Not many people think they'll win it, and, sadly, neither do we.

Prediction: 4th

Star Player: Jonathan Downing (Age 14)

CEZZI UNITED - Coach: Jon Corble (Age 71)

A masterclass team as we've seen so far. The main trouble for the Jaguars will be facing Gigo Villa, the favourites.

Prediction: 2nd

Star Player: Jose (Age 15)

GIGO VILLA - Coach: Gigio Heron (Age 50)

The obvious favourites here. No denials along the way that we can predict, so, for us, it'd be a GV clean sweep!

Prediction: 1st

Star Player: Piers Cicho (Age 20)

HIVO & STALLO - Coach: Noah Jones (Age 34)

Not absolute favourites, but have a vey slight chance of winning.

Prediction: 3rd

Star Player - Jon Powers (Age 19)

JESSO F.C - Coach: Wesco Jones (Age 65)

Not a brilliant team, but still impressed. We reckon they deserve a Top 5 mention.

Prediction: 5th

Star Player - Joshua Jelso (Age 25)

NECIO VILLAGE - Coach: John Villares (Age 45)

No chance. Good team, but no chance. If they win, we're gonna give everyone that we can find or come across 50 enscises (pence).

Prediction: 7th (and last)

Star Player: Dominic Necio (Age 30)

And last, but not least...

WISICIO UNITED - Coach: George Clomm (Age 70)

A good team, but, I'm afraid the only people they'll ever get past is Necio Village. No chance.

Prediction: 6th

Star Player: Hero Jr. (Age 23)

The first matchday is tomorrow, so keep your eyes open!

Hey. This is a semi-serious nation (despite the flag), which operates on the ideals of libertarian municipalism and Communalism. I don't RP though (at least not currently), and you'll probably only see me on Forum 7 or General.

Veteran of the site for 7 years (yes, I lied about my age, bc I was too precocious for my own good).

Pro: Libertarian socialism (social anarchism), Communalism, social ecology, religious freedom, rights for each and every LGBT individual everywhere, equality, feminism, Dubcek, Marxism.
Anti: Oppression, capitalism, state/church intermingling, Marxist-Leninism, Maoism, fundamentalism, creationists.
16, British, cis male scum, bisexual, lover of books, indie music and writing. Expects mutual civility and decorum during debates.

Elemanu Football League 838

Teams
  • Damasa Seals (Orange)
Last year's National League champions, they are out to win the second EFL Championships, with star striker Paul Madrigal leading their way.
  • Amori East Penguins (Black)
Last year's runners up, and top team at the end of the season, Elsie Gillenwater's Penguins want revenge against the Seals.
  • Amori West Orcas (Blue)
The Orcas were unbeaten in the last month of competition last year, and are eager to start the season the same way.
  • Amori North Petrels (White)
The first new team of the season, the Petrels are eager not to be the bottom Amori team.
  • Kesser Skuas (Brown)
The second new team of the season, the Skuas will have the furthest to travel in the league.

Note that the three Amori teams all share Amori Football Stadium (capacity ten thousand)

Round 1
Amori West Orcas 6-5 Kesser Skuas
Damasa Seals 1-1 Amori North Petrels

The opening match of the new season was a thriller, with eleven goals scored, the last one in injury time giving Orcas' Ryan Fredette a hattrick. The reigning champions were a little disappointed with their opening game, the Petrels scoring in the 8th minute and the Seals only managing an equaliser.

Round 2
Kesser Skuas 1-0 Amori East Penguins
Damasa Seals 2-0 Amori West Orcas

The trip to Kesser didn't agree with the Penguins, though their home opponents didn't score as many goals as their first game. The Seals pleased their home fans, getting revenge for the last round of the last season against the Orcas.

Round 3
Amori East Penguins 0-1 Amori North Petrels
Kesser Skuas 1-3 Damasa Seals

The Penguins continued their shocking start to the season with another loss to a new team in the first local derby of the season. Paul Madrigal's Seals demolished the Skuas, with the home team scoring a consolation in the 88th minute.

Round 4
Damasa Seals 0-1 Amori East Penguins
Amori West Orcas 6-0 Amori North Petrels

The end of the first month ended with the Penguins finally getting their first win and Gillenwater her first goal, even better since it was an away win against the team that beat them in the finals. The Orcas embarrased the Petrels in the local derby, with Ryan Fredette gaining his second hattrick of the season.

National Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 Damasa Seals 4 2 1 1 6 3 +3 7
2 Amori West Orcas 3 2 0 1 12 7 +5 6
3 Amori North Petrels 3 1 1 1 2 7 -5 4
4 Amori East Penguins 3 1 0 2 1 2 -1 3
5 Kesser Skuas 3 1 0 2 7 9 -2 3

The first month ended with the Seals on top of the table going into their bye, while the Penguins fans were disappointed with their team in a share for last, and only took heart with the performance of Erik Novy who had only let through two goals in three games.

Top Scorers

Ryan Fredette (Seals) 6
Paul Madrigal (Orcas) 4
Annabelle Quisenberry (Skuas) 4

VESC Premierre 2010 season

Matchday 1 Scores

All in all, for us, Matchday 1 was hard to comprehend, but not so much that we couldn't put it into words! Here it is.

CEZZI UNITED vs. GIGO VILLA

1 - 0

Jose, 18'

A staggering performance by Cezzi and a shocker for Gigo Villa. A 30 yd volley from the limbering left foot of Jose helped Heron find his team's only weak spot. The keeper.

Match Rating: 7/10

Man of the Match: Jose (9/10)

HIVO & STALLO vs. JESSO F.C

0 - 3

Jelso, 56', 87'
Stone, 90 + 2'

What a game! It was exciting, surprising and great! Note I emphasized on the 'surprising' part. 3-0 to H&S? You gotta be kidding me. Still, two crackers from Josh Jelso on the wing, and one special delivery from Michael Stone, so, overall, a great game!

Match Rating: 8/10

Man of the Match: Michael Stone (10/10)

NECIO VILLAGE vs. WISICIO UNITED

1 - 0

Steward, 90 + 4'

Wow. Just, wow! Necio Village wins? Is the feed right? There must have been a mista... Oh, it's correct. It says that Robert Steward scored with 5 seconds left. One word here... HELL!

Match Rating: 4/10

Match of the Match: Joe Jones* (7/10)

TUNE IN TOMORROW FOR MD2!

Elemanu Football League 838 (continued)

Round 5

Amori East Penguins 0-0 Amori West Orcas
Amori North Petrels 0-0 Kesser Skuas

It was a shocking evening in Amori for the first Amori double header with no goals scored in over 3 hours of football. Penguins keeper Erik Novy showed why he was the best in the game with his second clean sheet of the season, but the rest of the team couldn't break through the Orcas defense. In the second game of the night, the new teams didn't do any better, with fans leaving disappointed.

Round 6

. Kesser Skuas 5-1 Amori West Orcas
Amori North Petrels 1-2 Damasa Seals

The Orcas didn't travel well to Kesser, as they were embarrased by the team previously in last place. Kesser's Annabelle Quisenberry managed to score a hattick in their rort over the Amori team. Back in Amori, the Seals consolidated their top position with an away win over the Petrels.

Round 7

Amori East Penguins 1-1 Kesser Skuas
Amori West Orcas 1-1 Damasa Seals

In the second Amori double header of the season, the result was again a pair of draws, but the fans had something to cheer about with all teams scoring a goal. Penguins striker Elsie Gillenwater score only her second goal of the season, but the Skuas were buoyed by their win in the previous round, and equalised not long after. In the second game of the night, the Orcas made sure the home fans weren't disappointed, scoring an 80th minute goal to draw their game against competition leaders Damasa.

Round 8

Amori North Petrels 0-1 Amori East Penguins
Damasa Seals 1-1 Kesser Skuas

The Penguins managed to scrape together their second win of the season in the local derby to move them out of a share for last, while the Skuas finished the month without a loss by denying the Seals in their most distant match to date.

National Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 Damasa Seals 7 3 3 1 10 6 +4 12
2 Kesser Skuas 7 2 3 2 14 12 +2 9
3 Amori West Orcas 6 2 2 2 14 13 +1 8
4 Amori East Penguins 6 2 2 2 3 3 +0 8
5 Amori North Petrels 6 1 2 3 3 10 -7 5

The Seals continued their dominance in the second month of matches, a clear win ahead of surprise second placed Skuas. The Orcas had a winless month, pushing them down into a share of third with home town rivales the Penguins, whose keeper Erik Novy continued his fantastic form, with his run stretched to only three goals from six games. The Petrels consolidated the wooden spoon position with a winless month, a disappointing goal difference and three points behind the pace.

Top Scorers

Annabelle Quisenberry 8 (Skuas)
Ryan Fredette 7 (Orcas)
Paul Madrigal 6 (Seals)

VESC Premierre 2010 season

Matchday 2 Scores

Matchday 2 had only one shocker. The rest was fine. So, without further ado, let's 'ave them scores!

ZECCI CITY vs. GIGO VILLA

3 - 1

Downing, 44', 67'
Cicho, 11'

Pesco, 88'

What? Gigo Villa lost... again? To be fair, Jonathan Downing's second goal was a shot from 30 yards, after picking it up near his own net. Another great long-range goal was scored by Greg Pesco, near full time. It's becoming obvious to Heron that he needs a new keeper. URGENTLY...

Match Rating: 8/10

Man of the Match: Jon Downing/Greg Pesco (both 9/10)

NECIO VILLAGE vs. JESSO F.C

1 - 1

Bould, 51'
Jelso, 50'

BORING. Please note I said Mike Stone played for Jesso FC, and that Jelso scored. I am a dumbass. Nothing to say about the match. No comment.

Match Rating: 2/10

Man of the Match: John Pritho* (6/10)

CEZZI UNITED vs. WISICIO UNITED

2 - 1

Jose, 67', 90 + 5'
Hero Jr., 70'

Another last minute win here. The first half was boring, but the second half was KICKASS... oh, excuse my language. The second half was the one that keep me from the concession stand.

Match Rating: 10/10

Match of the Match: Jose (10/10)

TUNE IN TOMORROW FOR MD3!

Matchday Eighteen

Hondo went out and made a huge statement ahead of their fixture with United, demolishing a quite good Club ESF by the score of eleven to one. It was not even a match as the club from Mar Sara stood little chance from the moment the first whistle blew in the eastern city. The Owls scored and scored and scored some more, just to send a message to United that they are ready and prepared for the challenge the Rockers present, that this is the year that someone outside the capital will take the title. For their part, the Rockers had a comfortable win in Wexax even if a late goal would make things semi interesting.

Quel'thalas was able to refind their shooting boots by knocking four past Juavi but their porous defense let in five as they continue to languish at the bottom of the table with just eight points through eighteen matches. Even Travesian has looked more game to the rigors of the topflight football than the winners of the Star League last year while Rolalas is showing why even the teams that come up through the playoff system are not clubs that should be overlooked, scoring a shock victory over Soldarian. Capri continues to drift off the pace as the fell in Wexax as the Knights scalp of the big clubs rises to four this season and the big clubs in the premiership wishing that they would somehow find themselves relegated at the end of the season.

Wexax United 1-2 Raynor City United (Cuendthor 82'; Soldarian 14', Taska 53')
Hondo FC 11-1 Club ESF (Dormasti 4', Maitland-Banks 8' 35' 61', Hearts 17' 19' 24' 50', Marsari 34', Lúinwë 82', Teltaththor 84', Aerataur 90'; Soro 70')
Rolalas FC 3-1 Soldarian FC (Elerdel 46', Lithtauré 52',Taleme 62'; Valrauncion 16')
Quel'Thalas FC 4-5 Juavi FC (Toraethar 5', Toraelenonel 69', Dlarlynnas 72', Ealotaur 90'; Telésonel 13' 17', Aldavathar 29', Neltathmyr 40', Mithnareil 48', Tallaion 84')
Travesian AS 3-3 FC Therathor (Oreme 41', Berésar 72' 90'; Wildwind 9', Elerval 32' 63')
FC Wexax 5-3 FC Capri (I. Narmonlanya 11' 22', Sharondaerl 31', Aeratauré 35', Insweri 82'; Duran 4', Juninho 50', 76')
Kareen FC 1-0 Char Sara FC (Feltandal 17')
Club Valanora 1-2 SC Rinaldi (Ondosumé 44';
AC Valanari 1-2 Mar Sara FC (Faerondaerl 62'; Peng 7', Narus 40')
Turmondale United 1-2 SC Ianisle (Rhuiron 71'; Aeratholeil 40', Aeravir 57')

Matchday Nineteen

Oh I am sure all of you are really excited about the big match that happened in the Battleground on Sunday evening but first we take a look at what happened in Rinaldi two evenings earlier. Once thought doomed to relegation, Turmondale dodged the fire of the Gunners and stole their own goal to rise up to eighth in the table at the halfway stage. An amazing turnaround for a club who looked to be the absolute worst in the topflight through the first few matchdays. Quel'Thalas even showed life as Club ESF suddenly has become the whipping boys of the league with the Green-Blues putting five past the Mar Sara club to have every club in the Premiership with double digit point talleys at the halfway stage.

Now for the main event in Raynor City where a confident Hondo FC side was walking into the dragon's den as an angry dragon in the form of Raynor City United was ready to greet them and show the upstarts why you do not enter a dragon's liar looking for treasure without an army at your back. A super strike by Aidan Kuu in the ninth minute set the pace for the game as the youngster danced around his markers with Soldarian sending in a sublime ball that he met on the half volley from the just inside the area. Stunned by the early strike, the Owls adjusted their tactics to hit on the counter and it proved successful as Hearts would slide one past Dart just before the half.

If the strike before the half was meant to inspire the Owls, it didn't, and seemed to do so for the Rockers as they came out and took the game to visitors. They gallantly defended their goal from shot after shot but it was only a matter of time before the dam broke and it would be Silvermark from the most acute of angles that put the Rockers ahead and for good. Underwood would come for Kuu and with his first touch, draw a penalty against Hardsworth who handled the ball in the area and then slotted it home to seal the game. With the result, the four point lead Hondo had coming into the day shrank to one and Raynor City looking poised to show why they have won eight of the last ten titles.

Raynor City United 3-1 Hondo FC (Kuu 9', Silvermark 71', Underwood PK 77'; Hearts 44')
Wexax United 1-2 Rolalas FC (Kevatathor 9'; Shamirmae 81', Dlartholryl 90')
Club ESF 2-5 Quel'Thalas FC (Soro 9', 51'; Toraethar 18', Toraelenonel 24', Dlarlynnas 36' 52', Ealotaur 47')

Matchday Twenty

The second half of the season is upon us and we are greeted with another Raynor City derby as Rolalas welcomed United to the outer suburb. It was a tense tassel between the two capital clubs, forever linked by Jaime Kuu, and it would be his son who would eventually break the deadlock between the clubs. The son of the former Rocker legend has blazed the path for the Rockers this season, leading them in scoring, averaging nearly a goal a game and has them sitting on top of the table once again. That is thanked in partly by Quel'Thalas snagging another victory, making it two in a row for the second time this season, this time over Hondo FC in another score fest. If the fans of the Green-Blues can take heart in anything this season, they know a trip to the stadium will result in a festival of goals, though not always for the home side.

Fans of the Inferno are officially now in panic mode as they lost yet again while Club Valanora won and that has put the historic side officially in the bottom three and looking at relegation a strong possibility. The loss of Carlos Cabrera to Albrecht Turkish was not supposed to be a crippling bow but that is what the departure of the striker has been as what was supposed to be a title winning season has gone horribly wrong. Luckily for the Inferno and the entirety of Char Sara, there is still eightteen matches left in the season and plenty of points out there to pull them out of this mess they have created for themselves.

Rolalas FC 0-1 Raynor City United (Kuu 56')
Quel'Thalas FC 4-3 Hondo FC (Orval 12' 37' 85', Shalandalan 56'; Marsari 8', Lúinwë 25' 63')
Travesian AS 2-0 Wexax United (Berésar 8', Vantauré 36')
FC Wexax 1-0 Club ESF (Rojas 39')
Kareen FC 0-3 Soldarian FC (Zetaback 34' 75', Lanethlhûn 49')
Club Valanora 1-0 Juavi FC (Haetauré 7')
AC Valanari 0-0 FC Therathor
Turmondale United 0-2 FC Capri (Galavathar 21', Aldaeme 59')
SC Ianisle 4-2 Char Sara FC (Undomiel 8', Aeratholeil 36', Aeravir 62' 81'; Manawian 24', Neleththar 50')
Mar Sara FC 1-0 SC Rinaldi (Oronrá 21')

Matchday Twenty-One

Holy smokes, Quel'Thalas has snagged another upset as they held the Rockers in Raynor City. Hondo however lost their second in a row which lets Soldarian slide into second and just two points adrift of the Rockers. This is truly looks like it is going to be one of the closest title races that we have seen in nearly a decade, as even when Soldarian has won it, they did so comfortably and with only United chasing them. With three viable title contenders, it now makes each and every single points against the so called "minnows" of the league important, as any dropped point could doom the club not only in the title race but in the automatic group stage spot for the TQCC.

Travesian and Club ESF both came out big winners this week, though only ESF is helped out by their victory as Travesian was unable to put any distance between them and Char Sara with the Inferno stealing a much needed victory over the Gunners. FC Therathor continues their silent ascent up the standings. If you would have asked anyone before the season if they thought that over halfway into it that the Inferno would be on the threat of relegation and Therathor in a Globe Cup spot, they would have told you to reverse it for any truth. I bet you all the fans in the northern city are laughing now at the reversal of fortune for the club and Char Sara's humilating season of defeats and disappointment.

Raynor City United 2-2 Quel'Thalas FC (Taska 7', Underwind 56'; Dlarlynnas 20' 68')
Rolalas FC 0-7 Travesian AS (Talval 7' 36' 62', Berésar 20' 41' PK 82',Vantauré 25'

Matchday Twenty-Six

Despite their Silver Cup victory, United is still not who we have come to expect in league play as they slipped in Valanari, a much needed point for the eastern club. Hondo and Soldarian each scored three to nil victories over poor competition to push United to third in the table, four points adrift. Luckily or not so for United, they still have Hondo and Soldarian on the schedule, so the title has not slipped away from them just yet. Even FC Capri is clawing their way back into the mix with a much needed victory of Rolalas that puts the capital club in danger of the drop.

Kareen has continued their fine season with taking a point out of Ianisle, the island club slowly climbing up the ranks of the table. While unlikely, I would not put out a chance of them making the Globe Cup at this rate. Char Sara lost at home to Quel'Thalas, rubbing salt into the wound that has been this horrible season for them.

AC Valanari 1-1 Raynor City United (Ealolithe 76'; Taska 25')
Turmondale United 2-5 Club Valanora (Runnaras 4', Helyanwë 27'; Nhatholsel 6', Haetauré 17', Galonren 39', Gatanar 61', Ondosumé 81')
SC Ianisle 1-1 Kareen FC (Aeratholeil 41'; Feltandal 62')
Mar Sara FC 2-0 FC Wexax (Mathandal 22', Oronrá 86')
SC Rinaldi 0-0 Travesian AS
Char Sara FC 1-2 Quel'Thalas FC (Neleththar 39'; Toraelenonel 64', Dlarlynnas 80')
FC Capri 3-2 Rolalas FC (Omasas 20', Galavathar 26' 60'; Shamirmae 42', Taleme 86')
FC Therathor 0-3 Hondo FC (Hearts 12', Banks 51' 80')
Juavi FC 1-4 Wexax United (Ealomiel 41'; Talelon 4', Cuendthor 27', Kevatathor 59', Aldatauré 70')
Soldarian FC 3-0 Club ESF (Nardhrinonel 8', Zetaback 15', Lanethlhûn 81')

Matchday Twenty-Seven

United against Turmodale is not one of the premier fixtures of the season, as United usually roll over either club from the suberb. However, Turmondale continued to prove that the Rockers are in fact human, holding them to a scoreless draw on a weekend where goals were hard to come by, with only three matches seeing three or more goals. Luckily for the Rockers, Hondo could not find a second goal against the Soldars and they did not slip any further away from the leaders as the season begins to enter the final third.

This weekend has also shown that there are really only four clubs that look destined for the drop, luckily for one of them, only three do get relegated. SC Ianisle, Char Sara, Travesian, and Quel'Thalas all lost on a weekend where all three had matches that they could have taken at least a point from, but failed to do even that. It is with great fortune for one of these clubs that the Premiership does indeed only send three down, as none of them have looked worthy of staying in the topflight this season.

Raynor City United 0-0 Turmondale United
AC Valanari 1-0 SC Ianisle (Faerondaerl 32')
Club Valanora 1-1 Mar Sara FC (Haetauré 18'; Haevathar 56')
Kareen FC 2-0 SC Rinaldi (Tinudiir 37', Shaglinadal 68')
FC Wexax 1-0 Char Sara FC (I. Narmonlanya 54')
Travesian AS 0-5 FC Capri (Falaeme 5' 38' 66', Juninho 48' 56')
Quel'Thalas FC 0-1 FC Therathor (Wertandren 39')
Rolalas FC 2-3 Juavi FC (Dlartholryl 3', Taleme 42'; Telésonel 34', Aldavathar 56', Tallaion 73')
Hondo FC 1-1 Soldarian FC (Banks 12'; Kithaldar 90')
Wexax United 1-1 Club ESF (Celealvalal 50'; Soro 4')

Matchday Twenty-Eight

And just like that, United are only a point back of Hondo and ahead of Soldarian as they dispatched Ianisle with ease. At long last Kuu has struck the back of the net again and in tremendous fashion as the club's fortunes look to be changing for the better after their slip in form during these last two months. Hondo's luck seems to be slipping as they were unable to put away pesky Wexax United and had to settle with only a point from their trip to Wexax while Soldarian withered against a Quel'Thalas side that is fighting tooth and nail for every point now that there is only ten matches left in the season and they are still stuck in the bottom three.

Char Sara has officially hit the bottom as they have sunk below the Green-Blues in the table with Quel'Thalas victory and their own inability to defeat a mediocre Club Valanora in Char Sara. It is a sad sight to see such an esteemed club to be struggling this bad a season after being in the ICCs. One just has to wonder if they will be like Gladerial United and be relegated and fall to the third tier or come back up and fight for the ICCs again.

SC Ianisle 1-3 Raynor City United (Aeratholeil 78'; Silvermark 13', Kuu 50', Soldarian 62')
Mar Sara FC 1-1 Turmondale United (Peng 30'; Faelivrin 84')
SC Rinaldi 1-0 AC Valanari (Eärfalas 30')
Char Sara FC 0-2 Club Valanora (Ondosumé 19' 83')
FC Capri 1-0 Kareen FC (Falaeme 20')
FC Therathor 1-2 FC Wexax (Wertandren 27'; Rundilinas 14', Rojas 57')
Juavi FC 3-1 Travesian AS (Neltathmyr 2' 9', Mithnareil 84'; Talval 37')
Soldarian FC 2-3 Quel'Thalas FC (Valrauncion 29' 36'; Orval 18', Shalandalan 51', Ealotaur 68')
Club ESF 2-0 Rolalas FC (Gwaval 19' 52')
Wexax United 3-3 Hondo FC (Celealvalal 29', Kiraiar 37' 89'; Marsari 14', Lúinwë 51' 82')

Matchday Twenty-Nine

And with yet another weekend, we have more twists and turns in the title race, as Hondo and Soldarian had convincing wins away from home while United struggled to snatch a point off the Flames in the Battleground. You could tell from the fans that there is just starting to be a hinto of frustration at the inconsistency of the team compared to other years where they would start off slow and finish in a fury. Though they are fortunate, they could just as easily be Char Sara, who once again failed to win, having a scoreless match with Turmondale.

Raynor City United 2-2 Mar Sara FC (Maalvatinu 21', Auglynndal 63'; Haevathar 16', Zizzn 40')
SC Ianisle 4-2 SC Rinaldi (Undomiel 13' 56', Aeravir 40' 80'; Shavanthor 35', Nardironel 72')
Turmondale United 0-0 Char Sara FC
AC Valanari 1-3 FC Capri (Birmin 31'; Aldaeme 18', Duran 44', Juninho 76')
Club Valanora 2-3 FC Therathor (Haetauré 71', Galonren 90'; Wildwind 18', Elerval 50' 86')
Kareen FC 1-0 Juavi FC (Aeraraidar 56')
FC Wexax 1-5 Soldarian FC (Celethanar 6'; Nardhrinonel 34' 86', Lanethlhûn 50', Kithaldar 60' 82')
Travesian AS 2-3 Club ESF (Oreme 14', Vantauré 54'; Falaval 19', Tathmin 34', Haeeme 73')
Quel'Thalas FC 1-2 Wexax United (Ealotaur 17'; Kevatathor 51', Aldatauré 82')
Rolalas FC 0-4 Hondo FC (Teltaththor 4' 70', Hearts 65', Aerataur 82')

Matchday Thirty

The Gunners proved a tough match but the resolve of this Rocker side can not be questioned after nabbing two goals in the last ten minutes to snatch a vital win in their continued quest for the championship and the second domestic treble in theirs and Valanora's history. Soldarian and Hondo are not making it easy for them, as they seem to be attempting to keep pace with the Navymen, but the Rockers have the inside track, and do not look at all like they are ready to relinquish it if they can help it.

Turmondale meanwhile is getting a lot of Yaforite fans after yet another scoreless draw in the second half of the season.

SC Rinaldi 1-2 Raynor City United (Malethina 51'; Lassethta 82', Auglynndal 89')
Char Sara FC 3-4 Mar Sara FC (Celetholtinu 7', Matanil 19', Matania 90'; Peng 30', Mathandal 49' 82', Oronrá 63')
FC Capri 3-0 SC Ianisle (Aldaeme 17' 56', Cunaril 31')
FC Therathor 0-0 Turmondale United
Juavi FC 0-1 AC Valanari (Cromlond 51')
Soldarian FC 5-1 Club Valanora (Kithaldar 18' 90', Gwavir 27' 62', Nardhrinonel 40' Birrina 58'; Galonren 76')
Club ESF 2-1 Kareen FC (Soro 20', Falaval 59'; Aeraraidar 41')
Wexax United 2-0 FC Wexax (Celealvalal 7', Kiraiar 70')
Hondo FC 2-1 Travesian AS (Banks 81', Hearts 86'; Ondolinde 17')
Rolalas FC 1-3 Quel'Thalas FC (Lithtauré 28'; Tatheth 8', Undoviel 45', Elersumé 81')

Matchday Thirty-One

Whatever hope the Soldars and Owls have has to be withering after the two put in disappointing efforts in their quest for the title, neither gaining a full three points. For a season that looked ready to break the hold that the Rockers have over the topflight, it is turning once more into a one side affair, as the gap at the top begins to show with the Rockers piling on the woes of the Inferno with a wicked escape in injury time thanks to a Soldarian freekick.

Raynor City United 1-0 Char Sara FC (Soldarian 90')
SC Rinaldi 1-1 FC Capri (Noromiel 34'; Juninho 51')
Mar Sara FC 3-2 FC Therathor (Mathandal 8', Oronrá 43' 90'; Elerval 31' 59')
SC Ianisle 1-1 Juavi FC (Malaar 68'; Narésiel 18')
Turmondale United 2-1 Soldarian FC (Runnaras 51' 83'; Valrauncion 19')
AC Valanari 2-0 Club ESF (Dlaranil 17', Kitaina 53')
Club Valanora 3-5 Wexax United (Haetauré 17' 64', Ondosumé 42'; Cuendthor 5', Kevatathor 34' 38', Aldatauré 51' 86')
Kareen FC 2-2 Hondo FC (Tinudiir 7', Shaglinadal 84'; Teltaththor 27' 53')
FC Wexax 1-1 Rolalas FC (I. Narmonlanya 38'; Undoelon 52')
Travesian AS 1-5 Quel'Thalas FC (Vantauré 9'; Toraelenonel 31', Orval 37', Shalandalan 44', Dlarlynnas 81', Ealotaur 90')

Matchday Thirty-Two

And now you can rule Capri out of the title race after their demolishing at the hands of Raynor City, their offensive might being held in check and hit on the counter four time by United to bring the title almost within touching distance. Hondo is keeping hot on the trail with a solid win over a game Valanari side, while the Soldars brushed off a late surge by the Flames to hold on to all three points on Monday night. Sunday though was night of fireworks as Club ESF put four past Ianisle while in Juavi, the Reds and Gunners combined for five a side and a goal thriller for all that came out for a fine spring evening.

FC Capri 1-4 Raynor City United (Duran 54'; SIlvermark 18' 68', Maalvatinu 41', Auglynndal 73')
FC Therathor 0-3 Char Sara FC (Matania 18', Celetholtinu 57', Matanil 84')
Juavi FC 5-5 SC Rinaldi (Narésiel 17' 30', Aldavathar 21', Mithnareil 52', Tallaion 79'; Eärfalas 11' 27' 39' 90', Edinho PK 84')
Soldarian FC 2-1 Mar Sara FC (Valrauncion 50', Kithaldar 84'; Haevathar 37')
Club ESF 4-0 SC Ianisle (Gwaval 10' 67', Yrautaur 28', Runtandar 84')
Wexax United 1-1 Turmondale United (Kiraiar 81'; Faelivrin 17')
Hondo FC 2-1 AC Valanari (Lardireil 34', Aerataur 42'; Aeramiel 11')
Rolalas FC 0-0 Club Valanora
Quel'Thalas FC 1-1 Kareen FC (Shalandalan 72'; Lanelenas 9')
Travesian AS 2-2 FC Wexax (Talval 48', Berésar 86'; Aeratauré 30', Rundilinas 62')

Matchday Thirty-Three

Soldarian is all but out of it now that they became a surprise victim to the likely doomed Char Sara side, falling by the score of four to one. The soon to be exiting Valrauncion showed no fight for the Soldars as their offense looked totally inept against the Inferno backline. Hondo and Raynor City both put five in the goal and kept the title race still somewhat interesting with only a handful of matches left now before the end of the season.

Raynor City United 5-3 FC Therathor (Kuu 9' 58', Taska 34', Soldarian 39', Underwind 77'; Feldilinar 17', Aeradhen 46', Wildwind 60')
FC Capri 1-1 Juavi FC (Duran 17'; Ealomiel 58')
Char Sara FC 4-1 Soldarian FC (Manawian 19', Neleththar 24', Cripas 38' 84'; Gwavir 18')
SC Rinaldi 1-1 Club ESF (Nardironel 61'; Soro 37')
Mar Sara FC 0-1 Wexax United (Kiraiar 14')
SC Ianisle 0-5 Hondo FC (Dormasti 18', Marsari 19', Lúinwë 38', Teltaththor 59', Aerataur 64')
Turmondale United 0-2 Rolalas FC (Shamirmae 24' 28')
AC Valanari 2-1 Quel'Thalas FC (Cromlond 29' 71'; Orval 13')
Club Valanora 0-1 Travesian AS (Berésar 63')
Kareen FC 1-0 FC Wexax (Larenésil 19')

Matchday Thirty-Four

A loss for United allows hope for Hondo and Soldarian that the capital city giants wont lift the title once more, thanks in a large part to the potent attack of the Reds, blasting three past Dart and holding Kuu and company to a mere goal for their twenty shots fired.

Juavi FC 3-1 Raynor City United (Narésiel 18' 67', Tallaion 41'; Taska 54')
Soldarian FC 2-0 FC Therathor (Zetaback 20', Lanethlhûn 56')
Club ESF 0-1 FC Capri (Juninho 84')
Wexax United 1-0 Char Sara FC (Kevatathor 55')
Hondo FC 2-0 SC Rinaldi (Banks 29', Hardsworth 52')
Rolalas FC 3-1 Mar Sara FC (Taleme 18' 50' 89'; Zizzn 82')
Quel'Thalas FC 1-3 SC Ianisle (Ealotaur 82'; Undomiel 13', Aeratholeil 28', Aeravir 69')
Travesian AS 1-1 Turmondale United (Ondoren 25'; Faelivrin 50')
FC Wexax 1-1 AC Valanari (Rojas 18'; Faerondaerl 66')
Kareen FC 2-0 Club Valanora (Laevanrin 32', Yrauval 67')

Matchday Thirty-Five

United are looking set to capture yet another title as they handedly defeated Soldarian in the battle of the capital and Hondo fell in Capri. While some may have doubted their excellence a few months ago, they have really come on strong here in the stretch run, thanks in large part to Aidan Kuu. The young Starblaydi looks like he is going to lead this Rocker side to many many more titles in his stay at the club, both domestically and in international competition. For Soldarian and Hondo, there is still a small chance that they can taste the glory of winning the title, but it is no longer in their hands to do so. At the other end of the table, Travesian has officially been relegated to the Star League.

Raynor City United 2-0 Soldarian FC (Kuu 27', Soldarian 57')
Juavi FC 1-2 Club ESF (Gwavathar 69'; Haeeme 18' 64')
FC Therathor 1-2 Wexax United (Elerval 51'; Kiraiar 19', Aldatauré 87')
FC Capri 1-0 Hondo FC (Falaeme 19')
Char Sara FC 4-0 Rolalas FC (Hiatt 13' 31' 58', Matania 64')
SC Rinaldi 4-1 Quel'Thalas FC (Shavanthor 9', Eärfalas 62', Edinho 67', Noromiel 79'; Toraelenonel 31')
Mar Sara FC 2-0 Travesian AS (Peng 11', Gaethmyr 33')
SC Ianisle 0-4 FC Wexax (Celethanar 10' 68', Rundilinas 42', Rojas 57')
Turmondale United 1-1 Kareen FC (Undodel 81'; Tinudiir 19')
AC Valanari 0-1 Club Valanora (Elendhen 50')

Matchday Thirty-Six

And that is it! After an amazing up and down season, the Rockers have clinched the title with a total and thorough beating of Club ESF coupled with Hondo's surprising loss at home against the Reds. While the Soldars, Owls, and Typhoon all looked like winning the title at one point, it is once again Raynor City United who slip away with the prize, completing a second historic domestic treble and further cementing their legacy into the history of Elven football.

With their goal in Juavi, Hondo become the first EPL side to ever score one hundred plus goals in a season.

Club ESF 0-5 Raynor City United (Nallron 9', Silvermark 24', Soldarian 61', Underwind 69', Goodley 82')
Wexax United 1-2 Soldarian FC (Celealvalal 43'; Kithaldar 27', Lemos 58')
Hondo FC 1-2 Juavi FC (Hearts 17'; Narésiel 41', Ealomiel 90')
Rolalas FC 3-2 FC Therathor (Shamirmae 26', Dlartholryl 33', Taleme 74'; Artemis 17', Shang 50')
Quel'Thalas FC 1-1 FC Capri (Tatheth 57'; Falaeme 38')
Travesian AS 1-1 Char Sara FC (Shalandaerl 66'; Cripas 57')
FC Wexax 2-0 SC Rinaldi (Sharondaerl 27', Aeratauré 63')
Kareen FC 0-0 Mar Sara FC
Club Valanora 1-1 SC Ianisle (Nhatholsel 19'; Larvanlhûn 51')
AC Valanari 2-0 Turmondale United (Kitaina 52', Ealolithe 69')

Matchday Thirty-Seven

Nothing left really to report, apart from the battle for who will survive and continue in the Premiership next weekend as the Green-Blues shocking victory in Juavi and Ianisle losing to Turmondale leave the two clubs within two points of each other, Ianisle currently set to stay in the topflight. That can all change if Quel'Thalas wins next weekend. A win and an Ianisle loss will have the Green-Blues staying, a win and Ianisle draw will see them stay if they win by three or more goals. Anything less and it will be Ianisle sitting pretty with all the money of another EPL season in their books and the Green-Blues sent down back to the Star league to fight back for the promotion to the wealth and opportunity of the Premiership, with Char Sara who were officially relegated after yet another loss at home, this time to Kareen.

Raynor City United 0-0 Wexax United
Club ESF 6-0 Hondo FC (Berthanthor 7', Ondotaur 19', Falaval 24', Tathmin 57', Yrautaur 63', Runtandar 71')
Soldarian FC 1-2 Rolalas FC (Kithaldar 81'; Elerdel 17', Lithtauré 28')
Juavi FC 0-1 Quel'Thalas FC (Undoviel 62')
FC Therathor 3-1 Travesian AS (Mithrandír 4', Feldilinar 34', Aeradhen 69'; Aldaeme 20')

Char Sara FC 0-1 Kareen FC (Shaglinadal 5')
SC Rinaldi 2-2 Club Valanora (Shavanthor 29', Nardironel 40'; Haetauré 15', Galonren 83')
Mar Sara FC 1-0 AC Valanari (McKenzie 7')
SC Ianisle 0-1 Turmondale United (Númenessë 41')

Elemanu Football League 838 (continued)

Round 9

Amori East Penguins 0-0 Damasa Seals
Amori North Petrels 2-2 Amori West Orcas

The Amori double headed started with last year's finalists up against each other, but disappointingly it was tough match with neither team scoring. The second match of the night was the local derby, which was a very entertaining draw and very tiring for the keepers.

Round 10

Amori West Orcas 2-3 Amori East Penguins
Kesser Skuas 3-1 Amori North Petrels

In the local derby, the Orcas put a lot of pressure on Penguins keeper Erik Novy, but it wasn't enough to overcome a three-nil half time defecit, with Elsie Gillenwater scoring her first double of the season. Meanwhile, the Skuas continued to impress in the battle of the new teams, with Annabelle Quisenberry scoring a double.

Round 11

Amori West Orcas 1-3 Kesser Skuas
Damasa Seals 0-1 Amori North Petrels

It was two doubles in two rounds for Annabelle Quisenberry, as the Skuas overcame the Orcas to move them to the top of the table, while previous top of the table Damasa succumbed to a rare home loss against the Petrels.

Round 12

Kesser Skuas 1-2 Amori East Penguins
Damasa Seals 1-0 Amori West Orcas

The Penguins travelled all the way to Kesser in a thrilling match in which both teams had not been beaten in six games. In the end, it was an injury time goal to Elsie Gillenwater which gave last year's runnerups the win. Meanwhile the Seals moved back into the top position with a home win over the Orcas.

4 Amori West Orcas 10 2 3 5 19 22 -3 9
5 Amori North Petrels 9 2 3 4 7 15 -8 9

After the third month of competition, the battle for top position was very tight, with Damasa holding a slim one point lead over Kesser and Amori East. The other two Amori teams shared the bottom spot, a full two wins behind.

OOC: Vescia, if you're going to post one post per matchday for your league, I'd ask that you please create a separate thread for your own league, like what Daehanjeiguk has done for his Imperial Football League. Your posts with large, coloured text is very annoying and over an entire season would clutter this thread up.

CAFUNDELENSE LEAGUE - FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON ENDED

The first half of the season 19 of the Cafundelense league has ended. As everyone in the whole world must know now, this part of the Cafundelense season is the least important, being only useful to get the players fit (with the exception of the Emperor’s Cup [former Empress Cup and Prince Regent's Cup], which has some importance... but its winner won't go to the TQCC, but to the Globe Cup instead). The State-related competitions don't have practical importance. Other competitions are State Championships, and the only reason why the supporters want to win this is because they have to defeat their rivals to get the trophy. And that’s the only reason why they exist too. The State Championships and the State Champions Cup have tradition, while the Prince Regent’s Cup has an interesting reward, which is the GC spot. (yes, I'm lazy and won't update the introduction).

The CCFM presents in this report the tables of all the State Championships, so check the champions of each of the 8 states:

Champion: PETARDOS S/A!

Reactions: MORE OF THE SAME. oh, that's great: once again Petardos S/A wins the State Champions Cup, after a successful run at the easy Lasft championship. That would be nice, if it were not for the fact that the club failed to conquer the Primeirona last season and saw one of their biggest rivals, Cafundó do Juta, lifting the TQCC trophy. It's correct that the State Champions Cup is a title, so its victory should be commemorated, but most of the fans aren't excited by this. For them, this title means nothing if the club ends failing to repeat the victorious performance in the second half of the season, when the major competitions are held.

THE EMPEROR’S CUP

The Emperor’s Cup has the same format of the former Prince Regent's Cup (former Empress Cup too), with the name being the only difference. The regency period in Cafundéu has ended, with the former Regent Miguel I giving his position as head of state to the new Emperor, Raúl I. A bigger competition than the last ones, it involves 64 teams. Finally, the CCFM have decided to make serious rules about the participation in the cup: the 40 teams from 1st and 2nd divisions, the best 12 from the 3rd division, the top 8 from the 4th division and the top 4 (not necessarily promoted) from the 5th division in the last season participate, with their last season results, of course (so the best of the 5th are probably now in the 4th division). See the results (obs: no away goals rule). And now it is seeded for the first stage as, following the criteria, the 32 best teams play the first game away, being separated in the draw from the other teams. Note that its champion goes to the Globe Cup:

CAFUNDÓ DO JUTA WINS THE EMPEROR’S CUP!

Reactions: THE NEW KINGS OF THE CCFM! Or, at least, it is what Cafundó do Juta is aiming to become. Although the team has always been successful at the international stage, leading the ranks and winning Globe Cups, only with the TQCC title it was able to claim to be one of the best teams in the world, and now wants to threaten the condition of Petardos S/A as the most popular club of Cafundéu. So, the Silver Squadron wants to start winning more trophies, and the national cup was the right place for a start. It is true that the opponent in the final was not a famous one, but that one defeated Petardos, so this ought to mean something.

Your posts with large, coloured text is very annoying and over an entire season would clutter this thread up.

[OOC: Thanks Liventia, I didn't want to be the one to say something first and then get yelled at for being an ass to a newcomer.]

Meistrliiga ad campaign expands as league broadcast rights break $1 billion mark

The Meistrliiga is looking to further expand on its reputation of high levels of goal scoring, the most known among world leagues, by building an impressive ad campaign. With the catchphrase "Takil Takil!", suggested by Ventspils Bluewings manager Vasilij Vasilevskij during a recent post-match conference, the league looks to showcase it's exciting brand of football around the world.

The ad campaign coincides with a successful behind the scenes campaign to television companies around the world to bring the Meistrliiga to homes in 18 nations worldwide, not including the already impressive home market. This expansion of broadcast rights has meant that, for the first time, the Meistrliiga has brought in over $1 billion in broadcast rights (this includes all foreign and domestic rights). Add to this the sponsorship money for the league, the individual club sponsorship rights and the seemingly ever increasing shirt and ticket sales - including a growing market for club branded mugs, novelty gnomes and stuffed animals from Quintessence of Dust.

So, what is this ad campaign? Well, there are a few ways that the Meistrliiga has tried to expand it's reputation, web adverts (no flashing ones, thankfully) to make fans around the world aware of the league, adverts in papers and television campaigns in countries like Tentalon, emphasizing the flair of the Meistriliiga.

An example of the advertising that the Meistrliiga is putting around the world: Takil Takil!

So, where do things go from here? Well, the Meistrliiga hopes that the campaign will greatly expand the revenue from all the sources mentioned above, by making the league much more prolific in the minds of people around the world. This extra revenue, the league hopes, will ensure that the clubs in it do ever better and boost the ranking of Somewhereistonian teams worldwide. I really do hope this is the case, hopefully we can really challenge the top ten leagues in the world, and from there, well who knows?

<Beddgelert> if that were true, i'd never have woken up with pockets full of ketchup

Round 13

Amori East Penguins 2-0 Amori North Petrels
Kesser Skuas 1-6 Damasa Seals

In the local derby, the Penguins continued their unbeaten run with an easy win over the Petrels, while the Skuas were disappointing at home against the competition leaders, with the Seals Paul Madrigal getting a hattrick.

Round 14

. Damasa Seals 0-0 Amori East Penguins
Amori West Orcas 1-1 Amori North Petrels

The Penguins' Erik Novy continued to haunt the top of the table Seals, conceding no goals against the team in three games as the game finished in a scoreless draw for the second time running. Meanwhile, the Orcas and Petrels entertained fans in the local derby, ending in a draw for the Amori teams.

Round 15

Amori East Penguins 0-0 Amori West Orcas
Amori North Petrels 0-1 Kesser Skuas

The Amori double header started off with the second scoreless draw in as many games for the Penguins, who extended their unbeaten streak to nine games. The second game of the night was a disappointment for the Amori fans, as Annabelle Quisenberry scored a goal in the fifth minute of the game for the Skuas, who then easily kept the Petrels at bay.

Round 16

. Kesser Skuas 6-2 Amori West Orcas
Amori North Petrels 0-2 Damasa Seals

It was a high scoring match in Kesser, with a first half Annabelle Quisenberry hattrick enough to send the Orcas back home with an embarassing loss. Back in Amori, the home team couldn't do much better, as the Seals consolidated their top position with an easy two goal win over the Petrels.

CAFUNDELENSE LEAGUE - HALFWAY OF THE LEAGUE

19 games played - a view on the Primeirona and Segundona

And we reach once again the halfway point of the Cafundelense Primeirona (and the other four divisions too, though in this report we only talk about the First and the Second divisions). A position at this stage is never guaranteed, as we have discovered after following the league during all these years, but a look at the standings after the first nineteen games can give us some information about the current strength and former of the clubs. Usually the teams at the top have good chances of securing at least the places of the international competitions, while the ones at the bottom may forget such ambitions and focus on getting intermediate positions. But, more than that, we simply cannot predict. So, let's take a look at how the clubs of the Primeirona are performing so far. At the first position, though with just one point of advantage over its main opponent, we have the Billionaires of Petardos S/A, trying to retake the trophy. They seem ready to claim the league title, but some negative results showed that they are far from unbeatable. Behind them, in the second position, there is Dunboor FC. A curious point about the team's performance is that they are the team with the less draws, and at the same time the one with less goals suffered. Both things are positive ones, since holding the excellent attacks of the Cafundelense league is quite a feat, and that the Primeirona has number of wins as first tiebreaker, so less draws means more wins in case two teams are level at points.

But the first position of the league isn't being disputed only by Petardos and Dunboor. A difference of only six points exists between the lead and the sixth placed. So far, the other two TQCC spots are being held by América and... Cafundó do Juta (as current champions they have a guaranteed place even if they do badly at the league). América is at a similar position from last season's, and this time the fans' expectations involve fighting for the trophy, as the TQCC spot was conquered last time too. At fourth, losing the TQCC spot only because of Cafundó do Juta's situation, is the recently promoted club Rio Bonito, surely the biggest surprise after these nineteen games. Even though their have a big investor, the investment simply couldn't build a squad at the level of the biggest Cafundelense clubs, so the focus was of just getting an intermediate position. Well, they are doing far better... it's true that maintaining this won't be easy, but if the Globe Cup spot comes, it will simply be the best moment of the club's history. In fifth there is Cafundó do Juta, which has a place on international competitions guaranteed, so the only goal remaining this season is to fight for the trophy. They aren't doing badly, but most of the team's supporters were hoping for a better start, especially because there was a huge expectation around the Silver Squadron after the victories on the TQCC and the Emperor's Cup.

19 A.F.F. 19 3 5 11 26 45 -19 14
20 Khalmar-Tijhus 19 2 4 13 24 45 -21 10

After taking a look at the top five positions, there are other two clubs currently holding Globe Cup spots. Porto Lacruz has established itself as a top eight club, always looking for the Globe Cup but hardly being able to go much further. So, this seasons, they are achieving their goals. And are in front of the current champions, which are surprisingly at seventh. Atlético Jutense isn't performing much well of late, and the only hope of the fans is that in the remaining games the team returns to find the football of last season, when they finally won the Primeirona after seventeen seasons. But things are far from easy for the capital team. They are on a Globe Cup spot, true, but under the constant threat of Clube Comercial, which has been participating in the international competition lately. With a very good squad and a nice style of playing, they are one of the most promising clubs of Cafundéu, and the top 8 positions doesn't seem to be enough this time. Perhaps the same can be said of the two clubs right below Comercial. Eldorado had a magnificent last season, and repeating it this time is the least acceptable. And Ranca Toco is a very traditional club, former TQCC champion, which fans are desperately in need of a good season to return to the old times. Lately they have been able to get to the international competitions, but more regularity at this is necessary.

In the bottom ten positions, we have some surprises, more than at the top positions (which had only Rio Bonito). Not exactly at the clubs at the intermediate positions, which are the usual ones: Atlético Insular, Clube Imperial and Central United were practically destined to the places where they are now. But the unexpected is at the relegation zone. We have a very poor Khalmar-Tijhus in last, probably the one that will finish in last, but right above them we have A.F.F., two times champion of the Primeirona, and a club that had reasonable success at the international stage. They are under serious threat, and their relegation may be the most shocking one of the entire league history. SC Lasft is the other surprise in the relegation zone. It is true that they have been relegated before, but their previous seasons had been good, even getting places at the Globe Cup. The other team at the relegation zone is Galáxia, which together with Khalmar-Tijhus was already seen as one of the worst in the league. Right above them there are Internacional, Bandeirantes and Varzeano. All the three, especially Varzeano, have good chances of entering the red zone in the second half of the Primeirona.

And what about the performance of the players, of the dispute for the prizes? Well, in this season the players are doing a fine job, and we have many candidates for the individual prizes. As Petardos S/A is leading the division, the name of Laborious Hawk comes to our mind. Surely he is one of the favourites, though he is not the only one in the club doing a fine job. Stephanie Reeves, for example, is being a key player for the Billionaires. For Dunboor, the goalkeeper Tejera is leading the solid defence of the northern club, and may well receive a prize and appear in the team of the season. We have also Orson Cook and Nico Lewton for América, the pair that simply makes one of the best midfields of the entire Primeirona, or the clinical finish of Rafael Nunes for Cafundó do Juta, the team of the moment. And what about a surprise, a player from Rio Bonito? Well, there is Paulo Fabbri doing a very nice job for them and, as they are in a top position, he could win prizes. Of course, since there are only nineteen games played, even players of clubs in worst positions still have chances, but we can already choose some favourites, like we've done. The dispute for best coach is also getting clearer: we have Alfonso Di Angelo for Petardos and Manuel Padaria of Rio Bonito with good chances.

As for the Segundona, since its beginning the experts had a group of favourites in mind, especially the ones that did well in the Emperor's Cup: Atlético Central and São Jorge. As it happened in the last season with Rio Bonito and Bandeirantes, these two clubs were seen as being far superior than the others, and would fight for the title. Well, they weren't really wrong: Atlético Central had a real good start and leads the division after the first nineteen games, though the second place is a different saint than the expected one: São José is three points in front of São Jorge. This is not a bad situation for São Jorge in the end: the third position guarantees an automatic promotion for the club and, in the end, this is the main objective of the clubs in the Segundona. Behind them, the fight for these promotion spots continues, with União Trabalhadora and CR Submiria looking to return to the top flight, and seem to have enough talent for this. More surprising are the positions of Grêmio Lux and Coríntios Jutense, both just two points behind São Jorge. Before the start of the competition, they were seen as just clubs to get intermediate positions.

10 Tênis Clube 19 7 4 8 32 34 -2 25

18 Metropolitano 19 5 5 9 26 39 -13 20
19 Penders 19 4 6 9 26 36 -10 18
20 Aliança 19 3 2 14 22 45 -23 11

The league rules also present a fourth promotion spot, but this one has to be conquered on the second phase, and involves only the top 8 clubs. That's why a top 8 position is so important in the Segundona. After these first nineteen matches, the club the currently completes the list of eight clubs is Clube dos Banqueiros, which really is a solid club in this division and has all the chances to attempt promotion. But just because they are now in eight doesn't mean that they are guaranteed there: other clubs are looking for their spot, and have half of the league's games in order to do this. Cruzeiro do Sul and Tênis Clube aren't far behind, while Santa Cruz do Norte, Serrano and EC Elville were all clubs considered by the critics teams with good promotion chances. They may be not really doing well right now, but it would be stupid to rule them out of contention. Of all these clubs willing to get into the top eight but that aren't there right now, Cruzeiro do Sul and Serrano are the ones that enjoy the most popularity, due to the fact that they have recently been in the Primeirona and with good results, unlike clubs like Santa Cruz do Norte and EC Elville that had played in the top league before but didn't do so well.

But let's take a look at the fight against relegation, which involves many clubs. For a start, we can even include Santa Cruz do Norte, Serrano and EC Elville as clubs under threat. Yes, the same ones that are seen as having good chances of entering the top eight, for you to see how disputed the Segundona usually is. But it is true that the real favourites to get relegated are others. Right now at the relegation zone we have Aliança, which is really one of the worst clubs of the division. Curiously, they have a SBCC title, the first of the CCFM clubs. And the other SBCC champion from Cafundéu is also at the relegation zone of the Second Division. It is Metropolitano, which was really expected to do a bit better. Together with these two, other clubs that do not have great squads at the moment and are performing badly: SC Carnavalesco and Penders. Apart from Aliança, which is in a really bad situation, the other three can aim to quickly leave the relegation zone in the next games. In front of them, but just by one point, there are three clubs: Sambarilove, Palestra and Engenheiro Peres. The three are just average clubs, and the relegation of any of these three wouldn't be a surprise.

Nearly forgot - the playoff: (3 RL weeks after the league!)

Semi-Final
Crompton Town 2-1 East Snaith
East Snaith 1-1 Crompton Town
Aggregate: Crompton Town 3-2 East Snaith

Felton Athletic 3-0 St. Andrew's
St. Andrew's 2-1 Felton Athletic
Aggregate: Felton Athletic 4-2 St. Andrew's

Final
Crompton Town 1-3 Felton Athletic

So the totally unfancied Felton Athletic find themselves in the First Division, replacing founder members St. Andrew's.

There may well be a few bets on the two exchanging places this time next season.
